It is weird about headphones today I did get glam myself So I didn't want to ruin the hair after all of Haley Heckman's beautiful work a beautiful and my side part I can't mess it up. No, I love it. You look like we're both side partying We are because I I only had time to slick my hair down like what bangs Cook can't tell can't tell that's some like it's slick and it's glued to the head. Yeah, and there's times where we don't So I guess this is the first big wedding update Which you know what I was thinking about this because I feel like in the beginning now that we've been engaged for almost a year now already I feel like in the beginning I was like kind of nervous to share things because I didn't want to annoy people with all the wedding talk Which I do understand to some degree, but I was like thinking the other day. I was like wait If I title it wedding stuff then people know I'm gonna talk about wedding stuff So then they don't have to watch it. No, that's the epitome of like don't if you get triggered watching like ASMR videos Or like person boxing or I don't know muckbongs like don't click up. Yeah, like I don't understand The hater mentality of like of that. I you know, no, I thought I was literally in the dishes I was like wait, you know why because I just like I would never want to waste my own time for sure Like that's what it is for me for sure for sure. So I'm just going to I was like, you know what I want to document it for myself Also, I know there are so many people that are watching that either are in the same era as I am or Are just interested in general so I was like, I'm just gonna talk about it as much as I want to talk about it also Rem we like Your job is to share your life. I'm like, it's just my life You're like, I don't know you want me to hire a writer trust me I'm trying my best I am but I decided from now moving forward I'm gonna talk about the wedding stuff as much as I want to and then if people don't want to listen Then I totally understand but you don't have to listen. So all the say I know I keep saying like Oh, we don't have any wedding updates. Don't have any wedding updates. I believe I picked my dress Just so exciting. I did not think I was gonna be as decisive as I was but I should have known I am a very decisive person. We went in kind of just to try things on and I Had already found a dress online that I really really really really really loved and then I was like I think that's gonna be my dress I just I just know it we went in it happened to be there We tried it on and I was like, it's the dress like sitting in front. It was like in the light It was so beautiful. It was like I just I know what I like and I know what I feel the most confident in That's the most important thing is in general when you're getting dressed but especially for something as big as a wedding dress you obviously just want to feel super confident super comfortable and Today we're gonna go try a few more on I've been like really Trying to keep my mind open because as a decisive person and a stubborn person I can pick something and be like This is it but today we're gonna do one last try on try a few more I still really love the first one, but I just want to you know weigh my options really make sure that's the one dare I say you're not married to it yet. I'm not married to I haven't said yes to the dress that is important though because I feel like it's so easy to Be so obsessed with one thing where you're like that's it. That's it. That's it And then you want to at least give yourself the freedom where in a few weeks or a month or even after your wedding You can look up look back like I loved it But I really took time to actually decide if that was it or not versus like rushing into it too much Also, it's so expensive the wedding industry so expensive anyway, so I'm glad you've been This is what number four of trying wedding dress for yeah, mm-hmm more trips I know and I'm like I'm really trying my best when I initially went with Kaylee She we had this amazing bridal stylist and she was like don't try on too many because it'll actually overwhelm you I think try on like she didn't give us a number but I would say like maybe 10 is like a good number and so that's kind of a lot and Kay didn't listen She went and tried a hundred on and she was like this was the worst decision I ever made and we saw her again And she was like I should have listened so if any brides are listening future brides Try and not try on too many I will say when we did that first initial try-on with you me and my parents at a zawsy that was the most incredible experience because obviously They were so nice But also I feel like I got the shape down that I wanted which was not what I was expecting at all And it's made this experience so much more fun and stressful at all I fully agree with that because I think that's one thing I think you unintentionally did it so right Was figuring out your shape right off the front So now you're not going back being like well, what if I do want this one or like oh shoot Like the last one was halter now I want it to be strapless or like whatever the case is like yeah And you don't feel like you missed out on one so you have to go back and that's something I didn't do each one Yeah, I highly recommend the way that I did it. I like Unintentionally best thing I ever did. It's been such a fun experience I also know I've talked about this online But to anybody who watched and resonated with what I said or if you gave me advice Thank you so much because there's so many girls that were like oh my god Like I was worried about the same thing but I was really nervous and insecure to go dress shopping because all the dresses look so tiny And I was just really worried as someone who's not you know a size zero two four six Like I was really nervous that I'd go in and feel uncomfortable or like you know feel ashamed or like you know That the the stridal people would like make me feel a certain way I've had an amazing experience It seems as though to me and that from the ones that I've gone to they have like You can go in and like even if you like a very specific dress it might they might not have it like I feel like they pick like a very small size and then a larger size and either make it like They clip it on you like to make it smaller or they tighten it to make it fit that's kind of the vibe that I'm picking up on and If you really like a style, but maybe that one won't fit you It seems like they have a lot in the back that are similar that you can try on so that's kind of the vibe that I've gotten There's never been a moment where I've been really like sad and any so it's been really good I would say because I Hadn't thought of that ahead of time until on the podcast when you mentioned that being an insecurity I'm like what if they don't have dresses that fit or make me feel weird or whatever And out so I've been very aware the few times that I've gone with you and even last even even Was it last I know two weeks ago when we went and like the way that I remember you I heard you'd make subtle Subtle comments like oh like I don't know if that'll fit or something and the way that the girl was like Oh, don't worry. It will like I like I just appreciated that Yeah, even though I felt like that was even a very like nice Some would say it could be like a snooty environment. It wasn't at all. No, they were so sweet They were so nice like I felt like they and she was even and they're like helping you get dressed and everything and it just seems Such good. Yeah, very good. Bye. So I I don't know if again Never been myself. I don't know if that's rare, but I feel like we've gotten really Great people everyone's been so nice even when I went with K to try on dresses like a few different places Everyone's always been so nice and like they should be because it's a stressful situation also It's so expensive. It's a fucking wedding that you like I mean don't be like a bridezilla and like be like never be rude Yeah, don't be into them. Yeah, because then they're entitled to be routine No, they're not but like give it right back to you. Yeah. Oh my god Oh my god. No, I'm just like so much more aware of it It's just definitely it's like that's something that I've dealt with my whole life though like prom dress shopping anything like that It's always like or I talked about like cheerleading stuff. Yeah, it's just you know It's always in the back of your mind for sure. It's like I know a lot of people agree You know something else that I've learned from watching you go through this process is how much of the veil adds a You would have a dress on and I think it was the first time your mom had said hey Why don't we put can you put this veil on her suddenly? I was like she's a bride. Oh my god It felt so real it really does and that's something else that I think in my head I've always was like and just get whatever veil it can be cheap or whatever because it doesn't matter like It's just like such a thin piece of fabric. Yeah, but the way that it really adds so much to the dress Like it completely vava boom, but also because like you can wear a white dress any day of your life I'm literally wearing one right now. Uh-huh, but a veil It's like you can only really wear a veil and it'd be like super a hundred percent acceptable on your wedding day So it's like it really does make it so much more special But I know some brides don't do bales, but I personally love a veil Do you want the veil to only be behind you or do you want it to be down and have cow put it? I like the behind I think personally, but I you know we should talk about the Olivia copo of it all Which it's kind of like already a while back But what were your thoughts on all of the drama also maybe give a little synopsis to anybody who doesn't know But I feel like everyone knows okay wedding and tense wedding drama I'm I would be shocked if some people haven't seen this, but I think a lot of people also Like I know Olivia copo the name. I couldn't like pick her out in a crowd. Really. Uh-huh, but like also I'm kind of bad with faces in general. I need people. I understand that like I like I know the name um Emily Radikowski, Radikowski is another one who I knew her name way before I like could recognize her But now I can like her out. They look kind of similar. Yeah, I so maybe I always got them mixed up That's like one of my biggest flaws. I like will forget faces and it bothers me so much You forget faces or you forget names. You know what it is It's pairing the name with the face like I'm like oh, I've seen you before I feel like you get faces Yeah, and then I I'm like oh, I know that name But I like sometimes I'm like I the correlation between the two and I feel like those are two girls I mean, they're both literally stunning beautiful Like maybe that's why my brain just can't register like you're like I hate you you're too beautiful I'm not even gonna remember. I have to say I met Olivia Colpo on a I mean I loved her because when she dated Nick Jonas That's when I first like she stated Nick Jonas. See I'm like, I don't know. Oh my god Yeah, her lore goes like super far back I found out about her when she did a Nick Jonas, but she was previously Miss Universe And she yeah, she okay Nick don't really not even she was miss or what island miss usa And not even just miss us a miss universe like she and she's just so pretty And I have to say I met her on a trip once she was on that revolve trip that I went with Kaylee Oh my god And like keep in mind it was literally Kaylee myself Shea Mitchell Victoria's Secret Models and Olivia Colpo in Mexico personality hires You bitch So I said the canon event We're like we're the personality. I know it was like it was insane Oh, I have to say Daniel Carolyn and Delaney were there too and we were like, what are we doing here? because it was like uh jasmine tooks on the the beach and then like us like in between the trees I'm sorry you could have gotten such good content of like Like them posing and then panning to like like that's what I would. I'd be like what the fuck is this I think it was like a little bit too I what I was in on the joke But I was also just like in all the whole time of everybody Yeah, and I have to say Olivia Colpo was so kind and like I was already a fan of her before And not everyone's always nice on those trips. Yeah. Oh, the bachelor girls were there too Love them and so those are people I puked in front of So that's I remember but Olivia Colpo like walked into a party and introduced herself to everybody Oh, I love that and I think I might be making this up But I think she I think I introduced myself and she was like oh my name My nephew's name is Remy or something like that like she was just like very nice and warm and personable So after that I was like love her die for her. Okay. Well, good to know She's like a knight like she was nice that stood out to me because I feel like that's not super common Yeah, especially like I'm not a Victoria's Secret model like and it was very apparent. I'm not and she's still buried. Yeah Yeah, no, but I felt that way in situations where I'm like I don't belong here I have imposter syndrome. All these girls are literally double zeros and stunning and beautiful and quite literal misuniverse misuniverse and like Angels. Yeah, angel. Yeah, and she like that. I just had to say that she always stuck out to me for being very nice Love that. Yes, I've never met her. Um, the wedding drama of it all she recently got married You know who she got married to um christian McCaffrey the running back for the 49ers previously the Carolina pan Okay It's a sports vibe. He's very very good by the way. Is he very very good? Oh my god Well, there's a whole bunch of wedding drama because her dress that she chose for her wedding day was very beautiful extremely modest like high neck long sleeve um not see through Very simple very modern and it wasn't necessarily the dress that caused the drama Yeah, her dress was dull chain kabana Some people had some gripes about the actual dress of it being ill fitting but more of the issues were with what she said I mean it really is a stunning dress. It was gorgeous and like it's a stunning dress Like I'm sorry. She could wear a plastic bag and it would look Justice like she would look amazing in it. Olivia colby said she didn't want her wedding dress to quote exude sex Sparkling a debate about modest gowns. I feel like I low-key would but like it's nothing about them It's more like I think weddings are just I mean we've all seen someone's wedding where you're like oh Wouldn't do that myself. Yes. You know what I mean? I think that's and I think that's fair being like I put a person I wouldn't wear Yeah, I still I wouldn't even say it out loud. I'd be sure There's the door to I'm definitely like I think that way I think my bigger thing about this is Making it seem like other people are exuding sex with their wedding dress choice. Yes and the irony that I I'm sorry. I'm obsessed with her after-party look which to me exude sex So it's so weird to say I don't want my ceremony dress to like it feels very double standard But yeah, the after-party dress is stunning. It's like this corset It looks just like a bodysuit corset And it it's see-through and it's sheer and it's like ballerina But what's crazy to me is I just don't understand the the words I don't want it to exude sex, but your after-party reception dress is I agree. I think that it was a very Hypocritical hypocritical thing to say Especially because like she is like an Instagram blogger girly that like, you know How's like bikini lines and all these things like so I do understand that I feel like if the I just think like the wording was wrong Yeah, I understand what she was saying in the sense where like she got married in a church And so she wanted to be like respectful and like all those things like I totally understand that Also, I'm sure she's been sexualized her whole entire life Especially being like a model or like girl, but the real problem is even though at her wedding dress She's so modest and covered up men will still sexualize her. So like that's the real problem I mean, that's very true. I think the quote made any bride who's not wearing a long sleeve high neck gown so be like oh, so am I like Sexualizing myself like am I too sexy now? I think had she just not said anything about the sanctity of marriage because I do think that like put Makes it seem as that she's putting herself on a pedestal then You know, oh also she she and her husband both commented on that girl's tick tock and called the girl evil Yes, and like that is actually what I have more of a bubble Well, you're so right people's like a really crazy word to use. I do Understand her feelings. Also though exude is another like exude sex appeal. Yeah, like versus saying It's given to me more like more classic or like it is a very classic looking. Yeah, the classic's not the word I'm looking for like I know I like the word classic. I think that she could have said like, you know, I wanted to go for Oh, sorry. Additional. This is what she said. She said wow what an absolute evil person you are I hope no one ever tears you apart in this way because it's extremely hurtful. I love the stress It was everything I wanted it more I get that her feelings for hurt I do if I were her I'd take a step back and be like, okay I understand like how my wording could have made people feel I'm like always I can see sides to every side So I'm sure if she was sitting here, I'd be like honestly like that's what you wanted and da da da da But then I can also see like me seeing that I'm like, oh, I do see hypocrisy in this for instance Like the royal wedding like Kate Middleton wearing a very like modest gown Track if she said I don't want it to exude sex that would track like that would make sense. You know what I mean? Like Because I feel like there's there's that I think it just seems very unnecessary to say Because like what is wrong if someone's gown exude sex for sure, you know And then on top of that Like with prior content and things she's put out like and her kind of like her brand not being sex But just being sexy. I understand how People were like, oh, that's like a 180 flip I kind of think it's mostly wording because if she had just said I really wanted my ceremony to be Dressed to be in a very extremely modest. I think the exude sex is where it's just like oh, that's kind of like Intense, you know, yeah, I think it's more of just people being like, oh, so if I don't wear a A neck high neck long sleeve than like I am not Like respecting the sanctity of marriage. Yeah, I don't know I'm kind of like At the end of the day she looked stunning and she felt confident and that's all that I would never look that beautiful in that Like she looks absolutely stunning eight down. I love the reception dress. I think it's so cute There will be I'm sure so many people being like hate the dress hate the flowers hate her hair Hate her like I understand that yeah just by being an online presence. You know what this kind of reminds me of hailey beaver like never winning with her haters Because it's like Anyone who's in that category of like you're so pretty you're so successful. I mean even comparing her dress to Courtney Kardashian's Where Courtney's was really short and dare I say quote exude sex For her point. I think she wanted that. I don't know wording If you want to look like a slut on your wedding day, that's okay I literally have been in some of these wedding dress try-ons and been like I want funny. No tasteful slutty And like I think she looked amazing and like hopefully I look if I look one tenth as beautiful as she did on her wedding day I didn't realize she got married at a church too. It was just a culmination of a lot of things Yeah, yeah, and again being so pretty I think that's a big part of it. She's very smart and very talented Well, it's the opposite of pretty privilege Like you know that there's all these hot girls and group chats being like, it's not our fault. We're beautiful You know what I mean? Like what's it like to be in one of those groups? To be born this way. I didn't ask to be born. You know what else was crazy to me was one I didn't realize how long we've known each other because obviously we went to like girls mind and all that stuff crazy And like we I mean we hardly see each other, but I feel like just because we started youtube forever ago There's like always so much love there Um and like toured and stuff, but I like had a flashback to me being at her other proposal That was great and like this that's so niche for anyone else like If you know, you know if you know, you know and the way that like It was just such a full circle moment of like wow like this is you guys have been through a lot No, because like she's been like I feel like I was quite literally in the distance So true. Oh, you mean like to see her go through all these things Like that like that era of her life And to see her so fucking happy and beautiful and in love and I was just like this is like It's just a good reminder that Even when times are really hard like there really is so much more in store for you that you don't even know about You know what I mean in like your persons out there. Yeah. Oh my god I always and this is I remember growing up and um watching like a friend's sister break off an Engagement and I remember thinking oh my god. I could never do that Like I would just follow through with it blah blah blah blah like because it felt like the embarrassment of breaking off an engagement Was so intense back then and now I'm like one. Oh, I can't believe I thought that two I like it is so much better to end an engagement. It's not too late if you fill in your gut It's not right or whatever like Whatever the reason is is like even if it's like plastered all over social media Like put yourself first and I don't know It's just so we'd have that stigma from when I grew up granted that was like with in a very like conservative Situation whatever blah blah whatever and church and church and all this kind of stuff It just seemed like oh taboo if someone broke off an engagement. Yeah, did you ever grow up with some people doing that? I'm sure I don't remember But I also feel like I grew up with the same mindset like I remember even like my parents always being like, you know My parents have a very similar mindset to heat that I was talking to my dad about in Korea Which I respect so much about marriage and engagement are obviously different things But my dad was like no matter what, you know, I made I'm locked in I made a vow Yeah, I'm here with your mom, which I love and appreciate so so much And I respect and I love that idea But I also on the another side like if it's not working and you've tried and you've exhausted all options and like It's not working. I also think that you have one life and you should also like you should be happy Engagement and marriage to some degree too. Um, but I definitely grew up like around a similar Yeah, so it's just so weird how I mean that wasn't even that long ago But going from I wouldn't break it off because the embarrassment to now being like hell No, like break it off if you need to fucking break it off. You have my life.
