This is your daily news roundbook for Friday, the 28th of June, 2024. I'm your host Adam Scully, and on this episode, we're going to discuss all of the biggest news stories from the EFL today, including Legionited goalkeeper Linkwood Summer Exit, Sunderland joined 16 race alongside Barnsley and North County for National League Stair, while Seoul could be set for a major cash-win fall, Linkin City's pursuit of Blackpool, Star Jordan Gabriel, or lack of a pursuit of Jordan Gabriel I should say, and we have Jay Coburn to provide us with the latest on latent-oriented transfer business. This and a whole lot more across the championship, League 1 and League 2 coming up on the show. Please don't forget to give us a five-star rating on the podcast platform of your choice if you enjoyed the show, it is greatly appreciated, and let us know what you thought of today's news over on real EFL social on X, formerly known as Twitter. So now, let's get into today's headlines. Okay, let's start with the Sadlers. While Seoul's transfer funds could receive a significant boost this summer, if Luton Town striker Elijah Adebayo leaves the now-championship outfit, following the hatters' relegation from the Premier League last season, Adebayo is receiving plenty of attention from some top flight teams. He was mightily impressive in what was both his as well as Luton's debut season in the Premier League scoring 10 times. This is despite making just 27 appearances and only 16 of those being starts. A hamstring injury in February meant that we didn't get to see Adebayo's full potential, but he was one of the side's stand-out players when he was on the pitch. It has been a rather meteoric rise for striker who was recently as 2021 was still playing in League 2. Despite coming through the Academy at Fulham, the 26-year-old would never make a senior appearance for the Cottagers. Instead gaining experience out on loan with the likes of Chantland Town, Swindon Town and Stevenage. After leaving Fulham in 2019, he was snapped up, here he would enjoy an incredibly productive season and a half scoring eight times in the fourth year during the 2019-20 season, before reaching new heights the following term, scoring 10 times in their opening 25 games. Those performances would see the Englishman earn himself a move to Luton Town for a undisclosed fee. If Adebayo was set to make a move this summer, then Walzal are set to benefit from the sale. At Thursday night's fan forum, Co-Chairman Lee Palmlet stated that the club had a salon clause in place in the striker's contract, which could pocket them a decent fee. The 26-year-old is valued by a transfer market at just over 9.3 million pounds, and even though the percentage was not discussed at the fan's forum, Walzal can expect to gain a decent amount of money if a sale goes through this summer. With his price tag at its highest currently, this window is potentially the best time for Adebayo to make a move, and Walzal fans will no doubt be watching his movements rather closely. This is quite reminiscent of the Jared Brantway transfer saga this summer. We know Manchester United, of course, are linked with the central defender who currently plays for Everton. However, the Toffees are holding out for around 60-70 million pounds. But, Carlile United have a 15% salon clause, meaning they are set for a multi-million-pound cash winfall if Brantway heads to well-traffered this summer, or anywhere else for that matter. And it looks to be the exact same over at the best-cut stadium, if Elijah Adebayo does move to the Premier League this summer for a multi-million-pound transfer fee. Now let's go to Wales, where championship side Swansea City could face losing young Tal and Iamerica Veia amid reports of Premier League and European interest. According to a report from Wales online, the 18-year-old's future with the Welsh outfit is on their threat, with interest from multiple Premier League and European sides. Italian outlet Tudo Sport have linked the Ecuadorian to one of the country's heavyweights, that being Juventus, of course, the report states that the Italian giants are moving decisively to bring the 18-year-old to the Bianconeri. Juventus are believed to have been watching the winger for a while now, with the club seeing him as a potential fit for their Serie C next-gen side, which has produced a plethora of talents to the first team already over the past two to three years. However, Juventus aren't the only European side interested, with clubs in Germany and Spain alongside the Premier League displaying an interest. Notable name from the English top-flight include the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle United, Southampton, and Brighton and Hall of Albion. Of course, Brighton and Hall of Albion are there, they love a South American talent. There will almost certainly be a bidding war for the youngster, especially as Swansea manager Luke Williams is a clear admirer of the young prospect, with the talent signing his first professional contract with the swans in March 2024. Since signing this deal, Govea has made five substitute appearances in the championship for the well side. In fact, head coach Luke Williams was full of praise for the youngster back in April after he broke into the first team. Speaking to BBC Sport at the time, Williams said, "He strikes the ball well, manipulates the ball well, he has a change of direction, shifts his body, and he is quick enough, so all of those things I like." Eimer has a chance to be really good if he continues like that. He ends his place again in the squad and to be on the pitch. Govea's contract currently runs until 2026, and so the young Swansea prospect looks to have a rather big decision on his hands this summer. With the prospect of a big money move on the table, Govea's head may be turned with the opportunity of either a European adventure or a Premier League move. From Swansea's perspective, being able to keep a talent like Govea with an inevitably sent a message of intent to the rest of the league, Govea will probably get the most opportunity next time with his Coron Club, but the attraction of a top-light move could well be enough to make a transfer go through this window. It is no secret that Luke Williams isn't as admirer of the youngster, and this, alongside the prospect of more game time, could potentially play a big role in the decision that the teenager will make this summer. Now ladies and gentlemen, this will be the last story I'll read out to you for at least another few minutes before we head over to our reporters. This is a story I wrote this morning on the real EFL website, it's not my news, of course it was reported elsewhere. Sundaland joined fierce battle for grandson of former Westminster. Yes, I'm quite proud of that title. Sundaland are set to shore up their defensive line this summer, and have identified a former player currently playing his trade in the National League. The only signing made by the club since the transfer in the open two weeks ago is Simon Moore. The goalkeeper had recently left Coventry City after his contract with the Skyblues expired, but has no penned a deal with Sundaland, keeping him at the club until 2026, with the option to extend his stay by a further year. One area that a new manager may be looking to bolster over the summer is at the back. According to a report from Graham Bailey in H.I.T.C., Sundaland are showing an interest in Gateshead defender Kendan Richardson, who was once on the books at the stadium of Lloyd from 2020 to 2022. Although he made merely three appearances, for the Black Cat, none of which were in the league. Furthermore, he is the grandson of former West Bromwich Albion, Chelsea and Hartley Pouli United centre forward, Fred Richardson. During his stint with Sundaland, he spent time out on loan, firstly at North County, where he hardly played, and later at non-legsides, many more town. Nevertheless, upon leaving Sundaland, the right back stayed in the North East, signing for Gateshead and has had a successful spell with the time-siders, but now looks set for a return to the EFL. Graham Bailey has also revealed that the Black Cat are not alone in the race for Richardson's signature, as fellow championship sides Derby County and Oxford United are keeping a close eye on the fallback while Barnsley, Peter Greenited and Nott's County are equally interested. If Sundaland are truly interested in signing Richardson this summer, they should have no problem securing his signature, considering he's a boyhood fan of the club and has previously played at the Stadium of Light, all beages the Hanville Games. Additionally, there has reportedly been interest in Trey Hume from Legionited and Clubs in the Premier League, perhaps Regis Lebri will want a replacement for the Northern Ireland international, if he does leave over the coming months, and Richardson could be just that. Now, folks, I'll give you a little break from the North Dublin accent for a while, and I'll go over to Reece Evets, who has the latest on Legionited, potentially losing their force choice goalkeeper to League One Giants. Marce, what can you tell us about this Reece? Cheers, Adam, Leeds United goalkeeper Ilan Mezley is being linked with a move to form a Champions League winner's Marseille, according to reports in France. In an article in La Provence translated from French, it's reported that Mezley would be keen on the move and is in contact in 1993 Champions League when it's over a deal. A move for the 24-year-old is still in its early stages, but there is concrete interest from the French giants, whose goal-keeping situation is still up in the air. Should the Frenchman make a return to his homeland, he'd be managed by former Brighton-Vos Roberto Deserby, who joined the club this summer after leaving the Seagulls. The 6-foot-6 keeper could also see his international prospect's benefit from a transfer, Mezley currently has 13 caps of France at under-21 level, and a move to Marseille could see him considered for the senior side. Mezley is signed for Leeds permanently from Lorient in 2020 under former manager Marcelo Bielsa after impressing during a loan spell at the club the previous season. Shotstoppers gone on to make 175 appearances for the Yorkshire outfit, playing a crucial role in the sides promotion to the Premier League in his loan season. Mezley was, however, criticised by many for his performances in his three seasons in the top flight, having made several errors leading to goals. The Daily Mail are also reporting the whites need to raise £100m this summer after missing out on promotion last campaign, and the sale of Mezley, who is valued at £18m by transfer marked, could help financially as they look to succeed in achieving promotion this time around. Thanks for that Reese, now before we bring you some more news from our reporters, a little bit of news has dropped. Mike McGrath, from the Telegraph of course, has reported that Alex Pritchard is on the verge of joining Turkish club Sivespore, Birmingham have been in talks over a deal seeing him move to the Super League club, so that one is expected to be wrapped up very soon. Pritchard of course joined last season and saw the side drop down to League 1, but he is now set to make a switch to Turkey. Meanwhile, Will Unwin has reported that Sam Silvera is set to join newly promoted championship side Portsmouth on loan from Middlesbrough. So some interesting news there, it was also reported yesterday that Lincoln City were pursuing Blackpool Star Jordan Gabriel, however, the Stacey West gave a contrarian report to this of course Stacey West is a sister site of the Real EFL. They reported that it's not really the case and here's Gary Huttonson, the founder of both the Real EFL and the Stacey West to tell you the truth about the Gabriel situation and whether or not he is actually moving to Zinsul Bank this summer. Over to you Gary. Thank you Adam. Oxford United have received a transfer boost this week with the news that Lincoln City are not pursuing a deal for Blackpool fallback Jordan Lawrence Gabriel. It had been previously reported that the imps were interested in the Blackpool right back and given the sale of Lassorensen in recent weeks the rumour has resurfaced. This week, Sun journalist Alan Nixon revealed that Oxford United had entered the race and would you do battle with Lincoln City for the player's signature. However, sources close to the Real EFL have exclusively revealed that Lincoln City are not interested in the player and they will not be pursuing a deal over the summer. That leaves the way clear for Oxford United to press on and capture Lawrence Gabriel's signature. Lawrence Gabriel was involved with Blackpool on the final day of the season and it was also a situation that involved all three of the clubs in the story. The player actually scored a last-minute goal as Blackpool went down 3-2 at Reading, missing out on a playoff place. However, Lincoln City, who were going down 2-0 at home to Portsmouth, also missed out on a playoff place. That meant Oxford, who beat Exeter City 2-1 on the final day of the season, finished in the top 6 and subsequently navigated the playoffs for a place in the championship. However, it should be noted that with regards to Lawrence Gabriel, there is some ambiguity around the story. Alan Nixon obviously reported that both Lincoln and Oxford were interested and that's subsequently been debunked with Lincoln City clearly not interested in the player. It's also worth noting that he is a right-wing back and this week Oxford United sealed an agreement with Peter Kioso, the former Rotherham fallback who also played at Luton Town. Now, he plays on the right side of the defence as well. You'd have to question if Lawrence Gabriel would move to Oxford United to play second fiddle. Of course, on the other hand, that's pretty much what he's been doing at Blackpool this season as well, so it could be a challenging choice should a bid come in. One thing is for certain, Lawrence Gabriel will not be wearing the red and white of Lincoln City next season. Back to you in the studio, Adam. Thanks for that Gary, and you can also go and read that report over on the Stacey West website. Now, I'm going to throw to Adam Scully. Yes, we're living in the Matrix. I actually spoke to Charlie Beeson about the EFL broadcast agreement with Sky Sports. There has been a lot of confusion about how the new deal will work, how it will benefit clubs, what it means for the 3PM blackout among a plethora of other questions. So I spoke to Charlie earlier and I hope it helps to clear up some of the main concerns surrounding the deal for you all. Over to you, Adam. Hey, I'm Ryan Reynolds. Recently, I asked Mint Mobile's legal team if big wireless companies are allowed to raise prices due to inflation. They said yes. And then when I asked if raising prices technically violates those onerous to your contracts, they said, "What the f*** are you talking about? You insane Hollywood s***." So to recap, we're cutting the price of Mint Unlimited from $30 a month to just $15 a month. Give it a try at Mint Mobile.com/Switch. With the price of just about everything going up during inflation, we thought we'd bring our prices down. So to help us, we brought in a reverse auctioneer, which is apparently a thing. $15 to $15 a month. So give it a try at Mint Mobile.com/ Switch. I'm here with Charlie Beeson from the real EFL and the Stacey West. Charlie, how are you? I'm very well, thanks Adam. How are you? I'm very good. I am very good. The weather here is absolutely awful and I love it because I'm such a... I'm the Satan of the Sun. Charlie, you and I were speaking about the sky sports deal with the EFL. It says that the clubs will receive a guaranteed payment of £895 million. Is this shared equally between all 72 clubs in the EFL? Well, as far as I'm aware, that is not the case at all, but there is a split slightly differently between championship clubs, League 1 and League 2. I think this sky TV deal, obviously there's some massive numbers that will come in at. For what I understand it, most clubs will get almost double the revenue from the TV deal that they've had recently, which is of course a huge benefit to every single club in the pyramid. But obviously there's big questions now surrounding it because fixture releases out and things are starting to become a lot more real for the upcoming season. But yeah, so although there is a slightly different split between the set provisions, overall it is still a major benefit, a double the revenue for what the clubs had last year. The championship will receive more airtime, I suppose. They'll have more games broadcast at then, League 1 and League 2. So I would assume, again, I'm not too sure about the net equity. Maybe you can clarify this for us. I assume that the championship clubs will receive more depending on how many games you have live. So perhaps if Leeds have the majority, not the majority, if they have more games shown than anyone else in the EFL, they will receive a larger cut of the money. And I presume that's how it kind of works anyway, because if you look at a Magic Knight or Liverpool in the Premier League, they'll have more games streamed than a Luton town or in any more, or Southampton next season respectively. Well, yeah, so I know specifically in the Premier League, for example, and obviously we're not a Premier League podcast, but just to give it as a bit of an idea, they had to have, Sky had to show 10 games of every single club as of last season's deal in the Premier League. Any time that they showed a club over and above that 10 times, that club then got more money on top. But the 10 was kind of guaranteed and then it was a guaranteed money. There is a similar situation in the EFL this year where I think every single EFL club is going to be shown on TV 20 times over the whole course of the season. But bearing in mind, that does include Tuesday nights. That includes we, obviously maybe some weekends and a move back holidays as well, the opening game of the season and the final game of the season. So there's going to be more than the Premier League, where realistically they only really play those weekend matches and traditionally Saturday 3 o'clock apart from the wards that are then obviously moved. The Saturday 3 o'clock kickoff is a very contentious issue at the moment. This of course falls on their Article 48, which states that there is a 3 p.m. blackout between the times on Saturday of 2 45 p.m. and 5 15 p.m. Sky Sports themselves in an article when they posted this news stated that there would be no change basically to Article 48 and something about respecting Article 48. I would read between the lines of supposency that this is clearly a deal to get around Article 48. What is the future of this law that many labelers are archaic? It's really, really difficult with Article 48 and I'm going to mention a couple of different quotes over the course of this conversation. But the other day, I have a chance to sit down with Lincoln City's Chief Executive Officer Liam Skully to discuss this new TV deal and what it meant for fans and clubs in terms of a commercial sense as well. He started the conversation when we brought up Article 48 with the fact that it is a really taboo subject. It's one that's really difficult for a lot of fans to have forthright conversations about because there's this real emotional connection to Article 48 as well and the way that it protects the whole English pyramid. We're not just talking about Article 48 here, but we're talking down to Step 11 of the normal league where games are still being played on Saturday at three o'clock and you might only have 20 people there, but those 20 people are what make that club. And removal of Article 48 could end up being detrimental to those. But on the flip side of that, we're now seeing, with Article 48 still in place, Sky are going to have to move a lot of BFL games from that traditional Saturday at three o'clock fixture, which is then going to harm fans and who knows, potentially harm attendances. We're going to obviously have to wait and see on that. I think Article 48, as much as I personally, and a lot of EFL fans believe that it is the right thing to have, I would say that I'm a little bit worried that next TV deal could end up being gotten rid of. And this is that kind of half measure in between a total removal and what we have before. What would it take to remove it? I mean, let me expand on that question a little bit. What I mean is, if they remove Article 48, the feeling is that attendance as well, lower down the leagues, at least below the Premier League, will take a hit because you can now watch your team on live stream or on TV instead of, you know, if it's the weather's horrible, your cold is rain and you can sit inside with a drink if you choose or brew and watch your team live on TV, no problem. What would it take then for, I suppose, the EFL or Sky Sports to offset that loss that clubs are going to make on maybe ticket sales, season tickets, etc. Would it mean they'd have to give more money to each club? I mean, how is it going to work? Look, it would end up having to be money. And let's be honest, it's the way everything is constantly being changed nowadays. If you want to change something, you have to pay more for it. And that's kind of what I think Sky are starting to realize and they're willing to pay more for the EFL to, in a way, get their own way. And the EFL clubs, I think, are really kind of in that difficult position at the minute where they're torn because on the one hand, we're talking about having an independent regulator come in that's potentially going to put a salary cap that's based on revenue. So clubs are trying to maximize revenue. So do they then take a Sky deal that's going to give them more money but might make it more difficult for fans to travel? But is that more money more than what the attendance is? But then if they're getting more money in, they can get better players potentially, which then means that they can perform better, which would then bring more attendances in. It's a really delicate fine line that we're currently walking, I think, for EFL clubs. And primarily clubs, I think, have had this sort of issue years ago and are potentially going to have to face another one themselves now. I think in the EFL, we're really trying to train that fine line between understanding fans and what the fans want and need, but also doing what's best for the clubs. The independent regulator, quite frankly, has to come in soon. They then have to be able to help make these decisions and they have to make sure that they're taking every single stakeholder point of view into consideration. Is this the best deal for EFL fans or fans of clubs in the English football league or even below? Because a lot of the noise about the Treaty on Blackout comes from the Premier League, of course, because they have, again, I mean, no disrespect to someone. Manchester United and Liverpool would have way more overseas fans than Crowley Town. And the issue is, you know, I'm not, it's a very obvious statement, of course, but the problem is most fans of Crowley Town would probably show up at 3pm on a Saturday for the team. And that's the issue. Is this the best deal for EFL fans then? Or is it, I mean, like, is there enough, I mean, what are your thoughts? Sorry, because I've been, I'll talk forever about this. So, well, Adam, it's, look, is it the best deal for fans? Probably not. Is it the best deal that probably strikes that balance for both fans and clubs? Probably. I think, you know, by all accounts, the clubs are going to sort of earn a good bit of extra money from this extra revenue, which again, they can potentially put back into clubs to progress where they are. But fans that potentially are going to be a little bit more disruptive than, you know, we ever have been before. And I'm a fan who travels week in week out. I've missed one Lincoln game in the past, like, two and a half seasons. And, you know, that's, that's home anyway. And this, this year, I'm going to end up having to miss a few more because of changes to the schedule. So it's not the greatest deal for fans. I don't really think it's ever going to be billed as that, but it is probably the best deal that clubs could have got. Like in an ideal world, in a football utopia, we'd have got double the money for the clubs and not have to move fixtures around, but also still had the 3pm blackout all this. That's just not the way it works. There has to be a compromise. And I think this is one of those where it potentially sounds like it's really bad, but I don't think it's going to be as dangerous as at the minute as what some fans might fear. Very interesting. Charlie Beeson, thank you very much. Thank you very much, Adam. There has been some interesting news coming out of Brisbane Road, including one attacking player coming through the doors, and one heading out the exit door. We have Jake Kogan, a late-norian fan, and our resident late-norian reporter to tell us all about the latest transfer dealings with the O's. The floor is yours, Jake. Thank you, Adam. It's certainly been a rollercoaster 48 hours in East London, as late-norian have acted bid farewell to a strike, and they simply did not want to lose this summer. Cypriot International Rural Saturiu has decided to join Bristol Rovers at the end of his contract, despite head coach Richie Wellins doing his best to keep him in E10 for another year. Speaking to online media, Wellins said the club made rural a great offer to stay, but he's taken the decision to move on, and as disappointed as the club are, they have to respect that. He also went on to add that rural has bagged himself a great contract at Bristol Rovers, and wishes him all the best for the future. Saturiu came for an Academy at the O's and scored a lot of goals coming through in league too, and he was a big part of the side that were promoted as champions under Wellins. And after bagging 11 goals last season in league 1 in his first campaign, in the third tier there is no doubt Bristol Rovers have signed a very good young talent who can certainly fire in the goals if he is given the right service. 24 hours later, however, Orient seemed to announce Saturiu's replacement, with Sonny Perkins joining on a season long loan from Leeds United. A striker who was very highly rated at West Ham United before he made the big move to Ellum Road, but it just simply hasn't worked out for him despite making a few FA Cup appearances. He went to Oxford United on loan last season, but found game time very hard to come by and was recalled in January. So I was hoping that when he joins late in Orient for the upcoming campaign, a club that he spent some of his Academy days with before under 15 level, that he will bang in the goals right at the start of the season, as Rich Ewell has looked to find a replacement for rural Saturiu who has left the club to join Bristol Rovers, and Sonny Perkins has joined later in Orient on a season long loan from Leeds United. Thanks for that, Jake. Now ladies and gentlemen for the final news report. Of the day, we go back to Reece Evets, who's going to tell us about the former Watford captain Adrian Marriappa and his newest club. No, he's not retired just yet. Over to you, Reece. Cheers Adam news now that will interest fans of retro EFL names as well as national league fans, and that's that former Watford and Reading defender Adrian Marriappa is signed for National League side wheeled stone following his release by Sulford City. The 37-year-old had spent the 23/24 season at the Peninsula Stadium, but left the club following the expiration of his contract. Marriappa came through the Academy at Vicridge Road, capting the side at youth level before going on to pay 340 times for the club across two spells. The Harroborn centre-back had stints at Reading and Crystal Palace in between the two spells out in Hertfordshire, playing for the former in the Premier League in 2012-13. Later on in his career, the Jamaica International played for Bristol City in Burton, Albion, either side of a period in Australia with MacArthur FC, where he made 19 appearances in Sydney. As well as his club exploits, Marriappa has accumulated 73 caps for the Jamaican national side, for whom he qualifies through his maternal grandparents. Speaking to official club channels, Stone's boss Matt Taylor said Adrian has a fantastic pedigree, and for us to secure his signature is a huge bonus for the football club. There will be a big character within the squad and his leadership skills will be vital for the upcoming season. Wheeled Stone will be hoping to build on the previous season where they finished 16th in the National League, starting strong but tailing off after losing ex-manager Stuart Maynard to not county. Fans of the Stones will be hoping Marriappa can add much needed experience to the squad and that his career in the EFL can help the North London side up the table. Thanks, Reese, and to wrap up the podcast, ladies and gentlemen, we're going to go through some of the confirmed transfers from the English Football League over the past 24 hours, starting with Thursday the 27th of June. Ozan Tufan has left Hull City. He's gone back home. Joining Trabzon Spore in the Turkish Super League for an undisclosed fee. Meanwhile, Harry Smith, formerly of Sutton United, has joined Swindon Town. Toby Savan of Accredence Stanley has moved to League One Side Truthbury Town for an undisclosed fee, of course, as we reported earlier. Sonny Perkins has moved to Laynauryan from Legionited, as was reported. On Wednesday, Paul Nerdy has officially joined Queens Park Rangers. What this means for the future of Azmir Beggavitch, who has been linked to the move to Newcastle United, is unknown, although perhaps the Bosnian is set to leave Loftus Road. Ryan Giles has completed his move to Hull City, his permanent move after spending last season at the MKM Stadium on loan. This was a contractual agreement at the start of his loan spell, which stated the Hull had to buy Giles permanently at the end of the season. The fee is believed to be around £4 million. Northern Ireland international Josh McGinnis has joined Exeter City in League One after leaving Wigan Athletic. Meanwhile, Dan Ellison has finally got a club in the English Football League. He has left Chippenham Town and joined Bristol Rovers. Ellison had been linked with a number of clubs in the EFL, and has now finally made the jump up to professional football. Usman Diakite has joined West Bromwich Albion Fernham disclosed fee from Hartberg. Meanwhile, Jamie Cumming has rejoined the use. He has now signed permanently for Oxford United, which was always likely as he had just one year remaining on his contract at Stanford Bridge. He was a promotion hero of sorts under Deas Buckingham last season, and will now play his football permanently at the Kasam Stadium. Hayden Coulson has joined Blackpool Permany as well from Bill's Britain Unsclow's fee. West Bromwich Albion have sold Zach Ashworth to Blackpool again for an Unsclow's fee. Meanwhile, Jordan Archer has moved to Fratton Park as a free agent after his exit from Queen's Park Rangers, and that was just Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. However, there have also been a handful of deals completed today. This podcast is recorded usually around 12 to 2pm, and so some deals may come to fruition after we finish recording.
