Hey, before we bring Ty Carper, which you're on 5th call right now. 410-583-1057. You get two tickets to a future Bowie Bay Sox game. That's courtesy of the Bowie Bay Sox 410-583. 105-7 Orioles lose last night three to two. Lineup just came out. We'll get that to you in a little bit. It is interesting as the Orioles try to end this four-game losing streak and joining us now to talk about it. He covers the O's for press box the Ravens for BaltimoreSports.com. It's Ty Carper, Vich and Carper. Thank you as always for joining us. So, four-game losing streak. Kyle Bradish done for the year. We already knew Means and Wells done for the year. How concerned are you? This is the major concern. You know, it's a glaring problem on Boston. What team, listen, why do you want us to put together a really good team? Okay, but then you deal with these injuries. I don't think any team in the majors can deal with losing three pitches in the rotation. It's too much to absorb. I don't even think a place can do it. You know, with Bradish, Means and Wells now. You know, so now we have to make a move. I mean, we're going to have to make a move to trade for a pitcher again. And I don't know, you know, my Portland's talking day, I think, earlier, you know. The window, the window to win is right now. This team is talented. You know, all this young talent, it isn't supposed to be, you know, these generational type players. You got to put a trigger on the move. The time to win is now. So, yeah, this is a major concern. And, you know, in the core of the guy, they have to be kind of like to keep in the rotation and restore us to the bullpen. But I mean, they have to grab another guy. I ought him who could be, you know, the next lead guy, you know, hopefully. We'll see what happens. I'll show my slide and start in the market just, you know, that he's the left-hand starter and a left-hand of bullpen arm to take the place to take a long. Tom, what have you thought of K. Povich through four starts? I think he's been selling. I think you've gotten better each time. I think he made necessary adjustments. I think he's working with his coaches to correct some of his weaknesses. I mean, I think that's really well again last night. I think he's a guy who can give him anything. But again, you know, he either works. You know, they're going to monitor his innings. You know, he may not be able to pitch down the stretch of you. I mean, when he hurts a certain number, they haven't said that yet. But you would think that's the way because he don't want to blow a rookie out. They're very impressionable. I think he can give him something. He can give him a good boost here through the stretch run. But the question is how much do you give him at the end of the season? We're talking to Ty Carpovich inside access here on the Fancarpa. Orioles, since that outburst on Friday night, they've scored four runs in the last three games. They are statistically one of the better offensive teams in the league. Are you concerned about the offense or is this just baseball? I think it's a slide. But I know a four-day registry is a four-day registry. And it's bad, you know. So, yeah, they're going to hit the ball. Maybe they haven't, you know, they've struggled with the score. They've got the pitchers behind you. They've got to score up one-one on Sunday. One-one on Saturday, one-one on Sunday, two runs last night. It's not going to get it down. You know, the teams got to score four or five runs. You know, the way the pitching is. Yeah, it's a concern. So, hopefully, maybe turn around after that. So, it's got Abby Benton. We obviously interesting. So, that is a different line-up. You can give him a little buzz. He's got a westward Benton fifth, which is also interesting. So, we'll see. He does this line-up. Adley's batting lead-off, but he's de-aging again tonight, Todd. So, I guess, like, a two-part. Are you surprised that James McCann is catching this much? And this is offensive production. I mean, is that concerning right now? 291 slugging? Oh, yeah. I think they just want to give Abby a break, you know. You know, he had that slide where he heard his nose. You know, this weekend where he was bloodied. Well, that's against against you. Oh, but yeah, I think he was trying to give Abby, you know, give him the rest of it up. You know, I don't know if it's that lead-off. It was not a flip to steal base. So, I know where that comes in. But, you know, they're going to come around. They're going to get the word of the catching. You know, I think there's other teams they need to address. And, you know, mainly, you know, with the outfield left. And he's going to line up because he's betting well against weapons recently. You know, is that 3 to 1 in the past? Muffing has left-handed. But, you know, he starts against right. So, he's going to line up the money against left-handed. And he's another guy's got to hit. Well, is this another example, though, of the need for maybe another right-handed battle in the bench? Because, hypothetically, you could have Adley behind the bench, or behind the plate, and somebody else, a right-handed hitter, D-H-ing. But, McCann is probably your last best option with Mateo at second and Mount Castle at first. Yeah, you know, I think they could. You know, they could use a little right-handed at that, you know, and I think, you know, that'd be cheaper than pitching, than what they're going to get. But, we'll see. We'll see how much your line starts. We'll see if they have it. There's going to be an interesting, interesting trade that might for the Orioles. Yeah. Because they're going to see if they're all in, or they're going to try to try to keep it together the way this team's constructed. Todd, I think it's fair to say that Heston Kurstah wanted to make an instant impact first pitch swinging on those first two at-bats. And how about that 13-pitch battle with Gaddis? Yeah. You know, I think, you know, I think he was a little upset the word, but the way he didn't get plenty of time last time he was up. And I think he was determined to show them that he could play at this level. He's a confident guy. You know, I talked to him when he was in the minors. He fully expected to be in the majors within a couple of years. And, yeah. And, you know, the question is, the Orioles call him up a sure-case in here for a potential trade because he'd be a really good chip here for some pitching. But, yeah. Heston's got, yeah, I can see him, I want to see what he can do. Put him in the line, see what he can do here. Not in the lineup today against the lefty Todd. But you expect Heston to get consistent run in this, at least window, right? I would think so, yeah. I think he's showing them that, you know, he can kick him back in the minors. He's going to look at you down there. He's an amazingly player. So, yeah. He thinks they're going to showcase him. Get up to him and see what he can do. Send him his dollars. You know, I've got to paint him up against you. He's got, the time is now for these young guys. Yeah, it's no longer, you know, the cost taken. So, get these guys up here and see what they can do. We're talking to Todd Carpovich inside access here on the fan carpets. It's that dead period between the end of the off-season workout program. You had your mandatory mini-cam. Rookies report July 13th training and get started July 20th. Anything that, like, are you expecting the Ravens to do anything? Obviously, they made it pretty clear, at least to me, they want to bring in another safety. But they, I think they want them on their price. But anything you see them doing before camp? I think they're going to make a couple of moves during camp. I think they're going to watch the wave of wire. But you do a lot of things. The cost is going to go. It got in August. You know, they got down in November. So, yeah, I think, I don't think they're going to make these guys on. These guys don't know either the sign, you know, before camp, you know, to get in there the first week. So, they're going to make the market settle a little bit. But, yeah, I don't think they're going to see anything before camp. Maybe a couple of monomers. But I think they're going to see a couple of pretty good significant moves once camp gets rolling. And once we get into August, even early September, they're going to bring some guys in. Because, like you said, they need definite safety. Maybe they bring in another veteran while receiver, you know, they need definite offensive guard, you know. And maybe even look at a patch rushing. There's definitely, there's definitely areas where they're going to improve. And they're going to, they're going to make some changes before the season starts. This is the part of the offseason for lists, Todd. We're about to get into one on the other side, pro football focused, ranked all receiving cores. This includes tight ends. Ravens came in at 23rd. How concerned are you about their past catching options? Yeah, I'm right about that today, actually, it's on that list. I think there are a lot of guys who are improving. So, I think the list is pretty legitimate. You know, I'm a thousand-year receiver. I think the tight ends, though, were the answers are likely. Couldn't move that up a little bit because they were included in that list. But yeah, these receivers, you know, they're going to have their naysayers to the approval of field. I think they floured this point for a big year. I think you can crack a thousand yards. This is huge year for a shot statement, you know, as far as they're not going to break out here. And then the box has Walker, I think, is a guy who has a potential to do some damage. But right now, you know, I think it's a fair ranking. It's going to be approval of field. Ty Carpovich covers the Ravens from BaltimoreSports.com. The Orioles from Pressbox. Carp, always great, man. We'll chat next week. Thanks, guys. Appreciate it. Nice.
