We come to the book of Leviticus. Known as " a book of procedures", most people tend to skip over it. But there is a lot to learn in Leviticus!

(upbeat music) - Well, in this series connecting faith to business, we come to the book of Leviticus. This is usually a book that most of us probably skip through because of the amount of detail and really just a lot of procedures and things that are covered in all the chapters. But actually there's a lot to actually learn about connecting faith to business in this book. And in this video, I'd want to talk about how God established a pattern and process for the nation as they were starting out a new life. And it is very detailed, but actually it reminded me of companies that want to start or they want to grow, they want to franchise, they want to open new offices. And it's like a policies and procedures for business who want to do these things or even get started. And often businesses don't have policies and procedures. I know they sound boring or whatever, but that's why a lot of companies aren't collecting money that's owed to them. An order might come in, it might be complex in the way, it comes in, it doesn't get fulfilled, they're out of stock, can be many things 'cause there isn't the processes on the journey. And you need to have procedures and policies, especially if you're going to grow. If you have issues in your office or your business or your retail store now and you don't know if you're making money, you don't know if you're ordering properly, people aren't communicating, trust me, that multiplies many times when you open a new retail store and a new branch or a new office in another market. So you need to have these in place. And the bigger mistake that people make is, oh, we'll be able to write these. Well, they might be able to, but it never gets done because you're busy with the day-to-day business. So you can find people who specialize in writing manuals or documents or procedures. They'll need to be brief properly. Remember, if you're inefficient now, that gets multiplied as you move forward. And employees need a system to help them get things done. Now, you've got to be careful it doesn't become a noose or an anchor around their neck and stops new ideas and innovation, but it all has to be done in the way the company needs to operate. So there's a great lesson in that and learn to get established and get those procedures and policies together. (upbeat music) (upbeat music) [BLANK_AUDIO]
