On a hot summer day, nothing beats the nostalgic taste of a cream sickle. National Cream Sickle Day celebrates this classic treat that combines creamy vanilla ice cream with a tangy orange popsicle shell. It was invented by Frank Epperson in 1905 when he accidentally left a mixture of soda and water with a stick in it outside on a cold night. This happy accident led to the creation of the first popsicle and eventually the beloved cream sickle. So grab one today and savor the refreshing mix of flavors that have delighted generations. Listen. Listen. Do you hear it? Is that the ice cream truck? It is. We should go get some cream sickles right now. I can't believe it's driving by. Let's go. I'm totally down. All right, let's do it. And while you're enjoying that cream sickle, don't forget it's also National Golf Month. Golf is a sport that dates back to the 15th century in Scotland and it has been charming enthusiasts ever since. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a weekend warrior, golf offers a great way to get outdoors, enjoy nature, and challenge yourself. It's a sport of precision and patience where every swing counts. So why not take advantage of this month to hit the greens and perhaps perfect your game. I love golf, but I'm not really good at it. So it doesn't love you back is what you're saying. Basically. It's really hard. It's a fun sport, but it's really hard to master. It's so great though to be out manicured greens and oh my goodness. I just loved that part of it. Yeah, it's hard, but relaxing, which is really weird. Yeah, it is kind of what you think about it. I've never thought of it that way before. You want to catch a game this month? After we finish the cream sickles, we'll go out. Yes. I'm Latoie Johnson. I'm Marlo Anderson. Thank you for joining us on our journey to celebrate every day. Enjoy us for all of our adventures on Facebook and Instagram at Destination Celebration Show. Until next time, keep celebrating. Now the birthday club. Let's see who's celebrating. In our music spotlight, we remember Stanley Adams, born August 14th, 1907. He wrote the English lyrics for this classic. "What a difference a day made when it's four little hours, brought the sun and the flowers, where there used to be rain. My last days were new here, today I'm far of you dear, my lonely nights are through here, since you said you were mine. What a difference a day made. There's a rainbow before me, guide a bump can't be for me. There's a moment of bliss that really can't. If heaven went you by no match on your menu, what a difference a day made, and a difference to you." "What a difference a day made, and a difference to you? What a difference a day made, and a difference to you? What a difference a day made when it's four little hours, brought the sun and the flowers, where there used to be rain. My last days were new here, today I'm far of you dear, my lonely nights are through here, since you said you were mine. What a difference a day made. There's a rainbow before me, guide a bump can't be for me. There's a moment of bliss that really can't. If heaven went you by no match on your menu, what a difference a day made, and a difference to you?" That's Dina. I know that's Sarah Vaughn. Sarah Vaughn there.
