A LITTLE LIFE UPDATE…
Hey guys, welcome back to live in our craze lift podcast. I'm Olivia. I'm Megan and today we're gonna talk about what the fuck is up with us What's up in our lives life updates? We usually just throw shit at your face and Expect you to hear it and you never really hear anything about what's going on in our lives. Maybe you're interested Maybe you're not we're still gonna. We don't care. Yeah, we're still gonna overshare anyways The biggest thing is that we are moving in four months. Okay, that's the biggest thing going on like our lives. I convinced Megan to move back home for the time being because like I just need her here for the podcast and we need to figure some things out. So She's here for now and She has things to do in Montreal. So she'll be gone for some of the weeks, but I want to go with her when she Yeah, yeah, I still have to go back and forth but we actually have been going back and forth because we're looking for jobs We're looking for places stuff is getting serious. So like we need to be there some of the time So we can figure shit out there And that's been like taking up most of our time. Like we're not working and most of our headspace too Like it's like just so exciting. It's really really exciting When we finally get to start picking out furniture and what we're gonna cook when we live there I have no intent by over to the house swimming party. No, I want to host like parties like little dinner party We will not be having nobody's nobody's even coming to our house You know, I don't know. I'm gonna invite people speaking of dinner parties cooking all that nonsense Uh, we've been cooking a lot recently We went to the grocery store together racked up a whole bunch of stuff and then we went home separately And we just shoved it up in our kitchens recently my fixation has been penny ala vodka I've been making that Not every day, but it's kind of in every other day type of situation. It's so good It's so good. I don't know. I like mine saucy. I like my like not super. I like it saucy with fresh lemonade Ooh, it's so good. Everything has been just great living on your own is just great and there are our failures Vacationings. So I just had the whole place for myself now. They're back and I'm being bothered again They ate my bread that I bought at the grocery store like excuse me put it back, but it is so nice Put it back Eat my food, but it's so nice You know living by yourself because you just get to walk around in your underwear You get to just listen to me leave a mess leave your music on full volume Do whatever you want and no one's gonna tell you anything about it. You just get to just lift the way I'm so excited to move out. It's the only thing. It's like the biggest hope in my life right now It's like that's why and it's like time is passing and like I remember January was here And now guys like I was waiting in my planner and it's the two weeks until end of August Like I don't count this week because this week already this week. I already had my schedule for work Which means that it's done. It's done that we've done The most exciting thing though for me in Montreal is mont tacos So I'm introducing to mont tacos and then I introduced Megan to mont tacos And I can't even explain to you what mont tacos is you just have to go for yourself It's just so ooey gooey gushy smooshy scrumptious food that goes in your mouth And like we go every time now that I'm back there and We were looking for parking because we went to the wrong location for an hour and a half We were looking for parking parking parking and montreal in general is crazy. It's it's stupid But st. Catharines. Okay st. Catharines in over 10 30 11 at night Exactly and on a monday on a monday like what are you guys doing on a monday? No sunday sunday What are you doing on a sunday? and excuse me like Okay, I guess it she goes to order at the front of mont tacos and she's been learning french I already am fluent in french, but she's going and she's ordering in french with the woman at the counter Your french was so good too. And you're so excited. She's just staring at me staring at her And we're both looking at each other like sorry. Are we speaking? Like is this like not really like she's literally looking And i'm laughing. Yeah, she's not looking at me She's not nodding her head. She's not acknowledging me guys my french was like all point it was it was not great, but it's like it's like getting there you're learning and She's just looking at me and i'm like Megan and my say in the most innocent voice i'm like Megan Am I saying it properly? I'm like yeah, you're saying it properly so then I turned to her and i'm like Hey, like are you are you understanding like did you hear our order and she just looks at me? She's like yeah, I heard your order Okay, I know what I grew okay, so she put it through whatever we had our taco went to mohayal. We watched the city lights the city lights it was Nice, but it's just so like a fresher breath air It's like a breath of fresh air Like being there. I don't know how to explain it. It's like I love it there had one of the the just stupidest experiences. Okay. We wanted to go cliff jumping. We drove not in over exaggeration three and a half hours to towable mine for the clearest blue waters for For the cliff jumping all this so exciting we're singing dancing the whole entire ride there Three and a half hours. We pull into the provincial park and she goes and the name for the reservation We look at each other. What are you talking about name for the reservation? Are we not at a park? So we ended up having to turn around sit in a No-frills parking lot for an hour while we're waiting for someone to cancel their reservation So we can book the spot because the park was sold out One spot comes up. We are screaming. We are we are screaming at the top of our lunch I booked that shit faster than you could even blink your eyes. Okay. We stripped down naked in the parking lot There's people in the parking lot. We stripped down naked. We put our bathing suits on We're excited. We go wait for a two-hour time spot. We pulled back into the provincial park I flipped my hair back. I'm like, yes, we're here for our reservation. We finally got a spot whatever She goes sure and where's your accessibility pass? I look at her. I'm like, yeah, we're accessible. Yeah, we'll just open up the gate. We'll go right and we're accessible She goes No, you're your wheelchair accessibility pass and I go What do you mean? We don't we don't have a wheelchair? We're not accessible. Where does she see? Does she see a broken foot? Right? I'm like, where do you seem that there's like an injury here? Um, yeah, so I actually booked that accessibility spot And there was um, we had to turn around. There was no refund. We it was very embarrassing actually I Anyway, so we had to turn around drive another three and a half hours right back home, which was very disappointing Let's just say we were not seeing dancing on our car ride home And I thought what is the one thing that could heal this disappointment? Going to air riders. So we go to the trampoline park air riders We there is nothing that will Just show you how unfit you are than trying to jump around with you jump around on the trampoline for an hour Yep, yep, and it's actually disappointing because that's like the one day I had off work And I wasted it wasted the gas Everything then it went to air riders wasted my time there Couldn't even freaking do the things the obstacle course we've fling across like i'm so weak. So anyways, oh super exciting We started tennis again. Um, because olympics was on and whatever like at my place. I worked they watch olympics on the tv And I'm thinking I used to play tennis all the time like I used to go home. I used to watch like tennis tournaments Of like professional tennis players and then go home and play tennis I stepped out throughout my tennis racket So I bought a new tennis racket and so we play tennis now when we have free time And we do track and feel because we used to do track and feel competitive competitively and then We probably burst each other at some point though. Uh, no actually no different at school board Um But yeah, we the park that's in between our houses closes at like 1130 or maybe 12 I think so we kind of just fit it into our schedule whenever we can or whenever we have time off work Guys my speakers finally fixed in my car I was with somebody and they fixed my speaker for me and actually they'll never understand how grateful I am for that They like fixed like the frequency and like the base and now it's just fixed and the music is like clearer and better So I'd like that's the most exciting thing for me 100% when I step back into her car I didn't know that the speakers have been fixed. I step back in and I'm like, you know, why is the music bumpin? Okay, so we also went to Niagara Falls, which was just we we do trivia for the brain and we thought It was like I didn't want to go home. Like it was like a I don't know We were just like driving and we kept driving and then all of a sudden we end up in Niagara Falls Bam and that and that sort of situation happens to us a lot We drive around and we just don't stop driving and then we just chill wherever we end up We do we ended up in Niagara Falls and we went we got ice cream, which was bad and then Um, we're walking back and it's raining and this is probably what like 1130 at night at this point And we're dancing. We're singing in the rain and all the natural Niagara Falls Springwater is is going on us And I had a rash because I had put something on my body that I didn't know I was allergic to And I had a hives for two for two weeks over two weeks And She says to me she turns she like do you think if you lift your shirt right now that the natural spring water will heal your hives And I was like Probably a good thinking so I lift my shirt. We're dancing. We're dancing. We're dancing and two days later I kid you not gone. I've sealed thanks to live over here If you be finessed free parking in Niagara Falls because they were trying to get this okay So the daily price is $35 for parking that makes sense if you go in the morning time We showed up at like what 11 p.m. Right? So 11 until 12 you want me to pay $35. No, I finessed that free parking And that's great. That's great because I was not about to happen That was not about to happen So if you want free Niagara Falls parking hit my line because I'll hook you up We went back home to my hometown. I brought Megan show us comes we visit my nana visit my papa and uh We in the cousins there and Jordan and Logan got these new four-wheelers And they're like tiny little four-wheelers. We have like a yellow one It's like a big one But they have these little tiny red and blue four-wheelers and they're like Olivia Megan like I want to take you guys on a ride So we're like riding with them all day and like there's a pool So like we also win the pool and then we go and they're like they're just like dry off the free get on and you got to put your shorts on But you can keep your baby. They have all these rules and they have their cute little biker helmets It's like it's like biker helmets the ones with like the I think I guess and they're so cute. They're red and blue and they're speeding through the same They're like zooming like this and they're like coming around and they're just like taking us everywhere so much fun and Um mom Megan and Logan Hey, we're of course by the way, of course this happens We're pulling into the garage and the front Wheel the front tire pops off and our our four-wheeler flips over logan flies off I fly off this tiny little four-wheeler and we're scraped up the handle bars Flip over the handle bars and he just pops right back up. You just dripping blood. We're both dripping blood and we just Pop right back up Logan. Just like let's go for another ride. Let's go. This one still works Let's go on this one. I'm like, oh, and they're like seven I know so we were there for four days. They have the best local coffee shop We drink our peach iced teas mango smoothies bagels sandwiches And then we go set the pool read book and whatever and it's great and it's like it's just very like peaceful restful It's like I don't have to worry about work. Nobody knows me there. I don't talk to anybody. You know, it's great Um, we went to the cheesecake factory with my nana one night. Yeah, that was nice Oh, and they give me a skimpy little piece of cheesecake too. Okay. So we ordered cheesecakes to go Everyone yeah, it was she literally told me everyone got she got red velvet and she has a nice big fat Red velvet everyone gets a nice big fat slice and I'm so excited because I've never been to the cheesecake factory Well, I know I went once before but I didn't get cheesecake and I opened up my cheesecake And I got white chocolate raspberry. Why is it like this tiny? I get this tiny of a piece of cheesecake and it looks like it looks like a dog came over Slobbered all over it ripped it all up and then boxed it out It wasn't too good either a funny story actually. So I told my grandma. I was like, we're gonna go visit papa and We're and then I was like, oh, and the dark you're gonna go visit him. You're not you're not you're gonna be fine I said, uh, like it's the light bugs are gonna be out like it's fine So we pull it's like maybe we went to target first and we went and we bought cheesecake for whatever And so we're pulling into the the grave yard and it's it's closed It's like you can't be there from sun, whatever to whatever And we see these big eyes It was The deers there's a baby deer and a mom deer and their eyes in the dark like deers are scary Yes, because we also drove to disney disney land in florida Uh in march a while back. Okay. And and while we were driving in the night There was all there was like what 30 deers on the side of the highway, but they're buying years Have you run into those? You're dead. Yeah, it was scary But anyway, so we're at the thing and we're like, no like we could probably get out just like get out just to get out Given the cheesecake, you know We're adults like you think right where the forest is like so we're like fuck. No, it's like giving creepy vibes And so really my nana was right and we were fucking terrified We're thinking I'm sorry pop my kids didn't eat it with you, but I love you They're throwing cheesecake and we go. No, it was scary. We were thinking like we're adults, right? We're we're grown We're not scared of the dark. We're not there's no reason to be scared of the graveyard at night We were terrified. We did not get out of the car. I'm paranoid that there's someone who went to us I put my window up. I'm like, oh So yeah, so yeah Speaking of flipping over we went on the e-scooters, okay, and I'm good for like an hour. I'm great I'm I'm on that thing. I decided to take my phone out upon some Drake I'm filming and I'm like because life is so good next thing You know, I'm not I could you not after I said life is great My phone fumbles in the air and I just fly in the air like this and I skid across the road like roadkill And I still have to start here, but I've got instincts and I put my hand first instead of my head And I I scrape my whole body the next three days after that, but I got right back up And she just positive exactly she pounces right back up like I like to be leading and the next day Oh, I could you not? My head was hurting my neck was like this and my and I had to go to work in the morning and I'm like And I'm like so I could barely walk I had to wrap my hand up because like For me, it's the fact that you not only did you get back up But you got back up and on the scooter to ride it back That's the thing like she was injured right like she's bleeding She's actually injured And she could have just been like no, we have to block it or like we have to leave the scooters here No, no, I'm good and she starts riding back all the way back He's crazy. The life is just better. Honestly back home at your home like it's great there This time we went out. We just wait. It's not good here. Yeah, it's like it's just not good here It's the only place and um We're really excited to move. We are really excited to move Just a little thing. I was with somebody last week and we're driving on the On the whatever the road and he points out the window and he's like Look, you can see it. The color yellow. Isn't it just like beautiful and like I my perspective Like I was I've always been grateful about life and like, you know, if I have a shitty day It's you know, whatever, but I realized like, you know what? You're so right like appreciate the little things like appreciate the color that you're seeing And so every time I have a bad day I literally look outside and say look at this I can see colors and I'm more grateful for life So thank you for that her and so we're driving is just Taking wrong turns a hundred thousand. Oh Okay, this is a great story actually Um, we were leaving Montreal what last week or the week before whatever week it was And I could you not I could not I know it off by heart like how to get home by now But I we went and made a stop for somewhere. So I put it into my my maps We took the same fucking exit eight times. I'm not even kidding. Like I was at the point where I was gonna stay Yeah, yeah Go back and say go back and say I was going out the exit And the worst part is every time we had to go out the exit and turn around and add in another hour It added another hour And we were supposed to get home. I think it was around like 5 p.m And we ended up home at 11 p.m So that goes to exact wishes. Okay, then we went to bulk barn. Okay Are we at home? I was like, well, let's stop at bulk, right? Let me just get a little treat because I like bomb bonds and different locations have different flavors We stop. We're okay We're digging in the bins and we're filling up our bags at bulk barn And we're standing there and we're like who actually I don't want any of this. Are we allowed to just put it back? I don't know. So we go to the till we go back. We go back to the back We don't go so we don't go out some back into the bins and we're like Oh, but then we don't do that because it's like oh, it's gonna Look like we're stealing because we went up to the till with like six different bags And now we have zero bags and then we finally just go, you know what we're adults So we go up to till we said we don't want these anymore. Can we leave these here? And she goes Yeah, I guess so then we just walk really well with nothing After spending an hour in bulk bars There's always funny things just happening in our lives We drop someone off I'm trying to get back to her place and I'm take it says take this like one turn I'm going around the same circle and she's like that's the wrong turn So we end up back at the person's apartment. We do it over and over again and we go again We took the wrong turn again and we're like, okay. We got to turn it. I feel like this time Usually it's because like we're talking or we're like in conversation this time. No, we were actually looking at the map We were specifically looking at the map like okay. We've done take the wrong turn like three times Let's focus and then we continue to do it like six more times That's us. It just is what it is So I guess that's really our update the biggest thing like all they do I guess this is just like funny stories like we just haven't working saving up to move out So that's the biggest like the biggest thing that's said um And it's happening It's freaking happening four months. I'm so excited So I guess that's it. Yeah, I guess that's it if you uh We might start doing little tiny updates at the start of our episodes We'll see how we feel about it. It's a really busy life, but we make time to like do fun things I mean it might be at like three in the morning, but we still do Yeah, it might be three in the morning after we get off work and we're half asleep half awake But we will make something happen.
