Listen back to Paul Cooney, Andy Walker and Stephen McGinn as they talk all things Scottish Football.

This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Call 0-8, 0-8, 17-17-700. Let's go, go, go, go, go, go. Getting this is Paul Knie with Andy Walker and Stephen McGinn, many of you heading for the car and heading to Hamden, Rangers in action in just a couple of hours' time. Champions League, maybe not too far away if they can win tonight. One more round to navigate, Andy, one-one, Dennemokiev tonight, massive game for Rangers. What do you reckon, are they going to do it? I think they will. I mean, I think they did. They're hard to spit by going over to Poland, obviously, to play the Ukrainian side and got a good result. I mean, that goal from Dessar's, the last kick of the ball almost, I think it's so important and I think it just changed the whole outlook. Had that not gone in, there would have been another year of negativity, but I think there's optimism now and I think Rangers can get through it to the next one. Stephen, what are you reckon for tonight for Rangers? Yeah, it's amazing how the mindset changes, as Andy said. Amazing what the difference is not having a way goals to make. Can you think of years gone by, how important that Dessar's goal would be in terms of not having to win tonight? They still have to win the game. So, very interested to see how Rangers go about it. They don't have the benefit of the Iberks crowd to roll them out to start. Some of the most famous nights, the last few years in Europe have been that start and Iberks crowd can generate. So, very interested to see how they go about it tonight. Big news for Celtic fans this morning. We woke up to the news that looks at the Adamida. The deal has done. We've been saying it for days. Andy, what do you reckon? The thing, it could be up to eight, nine and a half million, maybe. Adamida, though, on his way to Celtic. Yeah, I think it's a good piece of business from Celtic. I've got to say, I didn't think Celtic would pay that amount of money for anyone. I just didn't think they had that look about them. But I think it's good for the supporters. I think it still means you still need another striker. I mean, he's the player who was here last season. I don't think Celtic would have won the title without him. I think he scored very important goals. And when you listen to the way Brendan Rogers described the way he was training, then this was a player who wasn't even getting a game for Norwich. And he wasn't even keeping Kyogo out the team. So, I think very quickly, he will become the number one striker at Celtic Park. He's paid so much money for him. He is the type of striker that Brendan Rogers does like, does prefer. And yeah, I think it's a good piece of business. I'm sure he will. I'm sure being at Celtic, being in Scottish football, being with Celtic, will play regularly. I think it'll make him a better player. And Stephen with Kyogo getting an injury at the weekend, the shoulder again popping out. He may well need him for Sunday in the Cup with Hibbs. Yes. I mean, as Andy said, I think everyone's Celtic connected to be pleased that it's done. It was a situation where Celtic wanted the player. The player wanted to go to Celtic. Norwich probably went and wanted to keep a hold on. They were happy to let him go. So, it was a situation that didn't really need to drag on as long as it did. You wonder if the Kyogo injury at the weekend, obviously is ongoing problems. We showed her if that sped up the deal, but glad it's over. It's a player that knows the club, the way the manager wants to work. So, it shouldn't be too much of an issue to settle in. And if he needs to start in Sunday, then he needs to start. Rangers fans, what are you thinking for tonight? Give us a call. O8, O8, 17, 17, 700. And Celtic fans, what about Ida on his way? And who is next? Still, some gaps needed for a squad that's going into the Champions League next month in the and the money that comes with that. Yeah, I still think they need a centre back. Maybe a left-back. I know that Greg Taylor has seen off a number of field backs in recent years, but they still need another one for that position. Good for Greg Taylor. We'd get a long-term injury. And I think they need another striker. There's still a lot of business to be done. I think to satisfy the Celtic support, given what they are desperate to see, Celtic making some sort of progress in Europe. The striker is not going to be Miyoski. He's on his way, Steven, as you know, to Gerona. He's off to play with Champions League, where they came third as you know last season. 4.25 million, I think it is, plus add-ons. Yeah, it looks like we're in about the 4.5 million mark, potentially rising to 7 million with add-ons. We obviously don't know the absolute blank white details. What is this a real statement of intent for Aberdeen that you can sign up there. You can bring him in and you can sell him on. And get a good couple of years. I think there's no doubt Miyoski was a huge player for Aberdeen. You only need to see the scenes. That's how you want every kind of sign and every player to leave the Football Club when they've gave there a lot for the Football Club and the fans know he's ready to make his move and wish him well. But really good money. It's nice to see Scottish clubs getting that type of money for a talent. Good point, Andy, isn't it? It's a bit better now, you know, getting 4.5, 6 million pounds. Miyoski, you're a former striker, a great striker. You like him? Oh, I like him. I like his touch. I like his work rate. I like the way he linked up with players. Most importantly, I like the way he scored goals and he scored big ones. He scored at Hamden when Aberdeen needed it. He scored against Celtic and Rangers. And that's the type of business that all clubs should be aspiring to. And even when you look at strikers where Theo Bayer, for example, did absolutely nothing at St. Johnston. But I don't know, different coaching, different management at Motherwell. He does really well, scores heavily, and gets himself a move to a bigger and better league. And of course, Motherwell get a good bit of money. That is really what you want to do with the majority of players you bring in. It's not going to work every time, but it just tells you how important coaching management and obviously recruitment can be. Aberdeen reportedly looking to activate a clause to get Adamma Sidibay, who scored two goals as you know at the weekend. There's a half a million release clause at St. Johnston, and they want to get him QPR also. They've been mentioned, but they could play against Queen's Park. He could be, so they want him quickly. He could be playing four of them. And you mentioned Celtic at left-back position. Now on Beck last year, we know was at Dundee. We mentioned him a few days ago. He could be on loan again. Could you see him coming to Celtic this season? Yeah, he's maybe the type of project that Celtic seemed to like the look of, and Brendan Rodgers is a type of manager that wants to work with players, although that narrative changed when he, you remember, he spoke about he wanted quality. He wanted almost like the end product of a player, someone who's starting a living ready. But I'd still expect Celtic to do some decent business between now and the end of the window. I would hope they're not waiting to see what the result is tonight with Rangers and what money Rangers will have to spend. Celtic should have their own path, their own way of looking at things and improving their own team. But you do get a feeling it's just, can we stay one step ahead of Rangers? Can we win the league again this season? Can we beat up dogs? And if we get something in Europe all well and good, I think Celtic should be aspiring to be a much better club in Europe. Stephen, your brother's mother will work up against Rangers at the weekend. Two, one, no disgraceful mother will, but first half Rangers look really good. Not so good in the second half. Yeah, watch the game Rangers, we're really good in the first half. I think they'll be disappointed to go the lost. I think the cross comes in far too easily and then a series of bad decisions from the two centre halves. But yeah, I think probably from a mother will point of view, that's the one issue in terms of being in that game center. Rangers did get nervous. When you lose the obeyer, you'll lose play a spittle and you're no striker. You can pronounce his name if you want. I'll try to be taking off anyway. But that is the worry from mother will point of view where the goals are going to come from. But a Rangers point of view when you think of the stick they took after the harks performance and you start so well against mother well at home or a hand in going turn that display in an 90 minute dominant display going really build on the last minute go from this is in Poland and going beat mother will three four. I mean, when you play that well, first half don't give them a chance and I felt watching the game, I felt like they were asking for troubles. Maybe the bit dramatic way of putting it. But you're only, have you seen the misplaced clearance? Yeah, the end. You're only one of those moments away from dropping another two points. I was supposed to be in two for Rangers. Here's what the manager said afterwards on the game. I saw very positive things today. We started excellent with good football, with good running actions with the right choices on the ball. And then you need a little bit luck to score early. What was not the case because we had two, three chances in the first minutes already. But we kept on, keep on playing with a good tempo on the ball, not giving away transitions. Then you get one moment across in the box where you have the worst scenario that you can have. One defender touched the ball, the other defender touched the ball and the ball goes really in the corner of the goal that I cannot save. So it was really an unlucky goal to get against. But it didn't create any doubt in the team to get a victory. And the only thing we missed today I think is to score a third or fourth goal, what we deserved to make. And then you kill the ball more for the opponents. And now they have the feeling they stay in the game. And you get long throwings and long balls and fights for second balls where you need to see that you win those that not one ball drops bad and you lose points because of that. And Dave, for interesting night, it needs to be better though, doesn't it? The way that they switched off in the second half compared to the first 45. Of course, and you would imagine they won't get any second chances. They're up against a decent team. And we all know what's at stake, not just financially, but just the cue doors of taking one step further to actually getting into the Champions League. And Kiev, despite all the problems playing out with their own country, they still have some talented players that goal score last week. Jan Malenko, we all know what he can do. And they've got some players that will be able to hit Rangers if they're given the opportunity. So absolutely no slackness should be out tonight. Yeah, I think that's an important point in terms of it's not like they went to Kiev and they've ridden the storm times atmosphere-wise. Then, okay, if don't get to play at home. So this is something that a group of players will be used to doing. And it was a really, really strange first leg in terms of kind of the atmosphere. There was a hard line of the day that it felt at times like not a Champions League qualifier. They think tonight will be much more like what actually means will be a failed house. The Kiev players might use that. They might feed on a bit nervousness from the Rangers crowd. And absolutely, they won't be able to get away with a 45-minute performance. I think Kiev will be better than the way of last week. And think about a really close game. Managers spoke about the atmosphere at Hamden. I hope like in the Iberics. I hope that and that the fans feel already more at home after the first time and the first time it's always like the first day in school. You feel a little bit uncomfortable. It will be now for a lot of people the second time in that way. And like this that we can create an Iberic atmosphere in Hamden also. It would be a huge achievement also from the fans to sit a little bit further away from the pitch but still create the same atmosphere. So I hope they can get there. And we're going to give everything on the pitch to that they are enthusiastic about it. That's our role to do also, of course. It's not one way street. Jack Butler speaking to the media yesterday and he spoke about Kiev. We learned a lot from the first picture last week. Certainly things that we could have tidied up on perhaps gave them a few too many easy opportunities. But we certainly felt that tactically and in the game we didn't feel out of our depth. I think we could have been better as well. So there's things that we can learn from that. And there's definitely opportunities to create and create more chances than we did. So we're optimistic about tomorrow night and looking forward to it. And some of the headlines today where that Jack Butler has revealed he's got no plans to quit Iberics after seeking assurances that Rangers match his ambition. This is what he said about that last night. I think we've got a good relationship. I think there's certainly an idea of what we want to achieve and ultimately want to be successful here. So we've had conversations in my conversations with the club. You know what we do and where we go and how far we go in and how far we push in. Which is as any player at the club is what you want to know. You want to know the ambitions. So for me, no cloudy areas over that. I'm looking forward to this season and looking forward to playing as well as I can. You've got the opportunity to speed send your directors on planes when we travel and you always pick the brains and speak to people and you know that's what this club's all about. We've got to be together and it's a concern of mine. You know I'm not concerned but it's a concern. It's good to speak to those people. It's good to know where the club's at and the direction and the optimism and things like that as a player. It's certainly things that you want to know and be a part of. I hope my opinion sometimes is taken and mattered as well. And it's a good relationship and I really enjoy how things are going. Andy, what are you hearing there? I'm hearing the things have changed since I played. I don't recall any player that I know going to a board of directors and saying what's your ambition. I think any player that I know who wanted to know maybe I'll be a bit more about the club and what direction they were hoping to travel and you speak to the manager. You speak to maybe the coach, the number two. But listen, maybe things have changed. If you're speaking to the board of directors on, you know, one on one on an aircraft wherever you are, I just found that a bit bizarre. And as a manager, you want to have that special relationship with a player. Will they have another conversation with a board of directors? Maybe someone that he likes? Will he steer clear or someone that he doesn't like? I just found that a bit strange. And maybe, you know, maybe he said too much. Maybe he asked you something to keep to yourself. Stephen, what did you think when you heard those comments? Yeah, same as Andy strange in terms of even even the places where you're thinking about having those serious chats been in the airplane or whatever with so many people nearby. Unless he means, I don't know, he was coping. He's maybe saying there's like a director and saying look who we bringing in, whatever that. I can't even imagine speaking to Chairman and owner of a club and saying, right, what's the ambition here? Yeah, same as Andy, probably a bit. Unless he's words have been taken out of context. Sure. And that comes on the day when Graham soon is yesterday on with Jim White yesterday. And Simon Jordan said that I'm not sure there's the expert. The football expertise around the board. Now, we don't know if he meant he was coping. There was no suggestion. I thought it meant more non executive directors. But could you imagine with Big Billy there, as Stephen's granddad, Jack McGinn, as chairman, and if you'd gone up and spoken to Jack about the direction of the club. Well, Big Billy would have said it's funny the day I signed for Salty. Obviously, it was in front of there, Billy, but Jack McGinn was there and he was he was just so warm and so welcoming. And the next time I saw Jack McGinn was when we actually clinched the league and that was the only time he commented to the dressing room because he was just so pleased that we'd won the league. That was nearly a year later, obviously. The end of the season, yeah. Exactly. I wasn't a chairman. He's like, "Hey, we're sure I'm wishing you." Listen, Rangers and fans will be pleased to hear that he's staying because at the start of the summer, the manager said, "I'll tell you what, Jack Butler, non-negotiable, he's not going anywhere." So two questions. If somebody came in with a big offer, then it was good to hear that we'd keep them. I'll listen to Graham since then. I don't know if he may be referenced about the time before Nielskopin came in, when Giamson was a member in this show, Jim White had said it looked like he was coming in. Because we can only really judge Nielskopin on what kind of happens this year. Not seeing a lot of, obviously, proper cheer and he looks like a good sign in. The look of Nielsk is, I think, understands the kind of Belgian and Dutch market. So we have to give him the benefit of doubt and watch this. That's what I was thinking. I don't know if Giamson was talking about maybe the time he was looking to be making next year. Okay, '08, '08, '17, '17, '100, we're into European football again. Tonight, we'll talk about St. Maren and Kelly, who both face tough ties, as we know, Steve is now the under-18 manager coach at St. Maren. It's tough for Kelly as well, who uncharacteristically anchored bottom of the table. I know it's only two games, Andy, but it's unusual to join. Yeah, it just shows you that they found the difference in playing in European football, just the focus that that takes from you and maybe losing a bit of the focus for the games at the weekend. It's very unlike them to have played two games and I know they were doing it 10, many early on Sunday and that contributed to their three-nell defeat. But no goals, seven against, it's not like them. But as you say, only a couple of games into it. Yeah, I think, just on Nick and Marnit, I think it's the fact that they've not really changed their team. Like, their mechanics likes to have that continuation. It's the team that earned European football. It's the 12 goals in five games. It's the manner of the goals they're given up. It's so unlike a their mechanics team, that goal that puts them at Europe and Belgium, the Europa League, that's a killer in terms of going to these places and thinking you've gave them a goal. You're right, so not like them. It's so unlike them. You're so organized. Think of the games against Celtic Rangers last year and Celtic Rangers. To get a result, haven't he? Fight and scrap for everything. Score good goals. So yeah, I'm sure that'll be again. Tear it, Marnit. Gene's been on asking, what's it like at the Smyser the last few days with European football here? We know it's a tough, great start to the season domestically, tough at the weekend, obviously, but there must be some buzz around Paisley with European football back last week. Yeah, it kind of comes in this pros and cons. Obviously, last week after the Hibs game, you're thinking off the back of what it was an amazing night. The Villar night was an amazing night and it was there. Everything nearly the perfect night and then you go on Sunday. Don't really perform well in the first half, but beat Hibs three now. And you think this is amazing? And then bring on the next game then, all of a sudden, the brand night cementing to themselves justice on a night brand and a really good side. I thought they were deservedly favored. It's getting to the tie. They looked miles ahead of where Fallo are where. There's a brilliant atmosphere at the end and then, obviously, at this appointment performance up at Petordre. But when you're in Europe and the games come thick and fast, you just need to try and stay calm. And who would have seen that hearts result coming at the weekend? And it just shows you, doesn't it? You know, week one, everyone making predictions, anything could happen. Yeah, I like the look of the hearts squad, I've got to say, but equally impressed by the way, despite Aberdeen losing my offskate, and I know that's a lot of goals. I'm intrigued by this new manager and the fact that he started so well at Aberdeen, you hope he can keep that going. I've always enjoyed seeing the big city clubs being as strong as they can possibly be and really challenging for European spots and trying to give Celtic Rangers a really hard time of it, especially at home. And I think it would be healthy for the league, if we saw, not just our strong hearts, who gave Rangers a good game for the game of the season, got a point. But if Aberdeen, obviously, have got a lot of work to do, you would just want to see the league being a bit more competitive. Juan, could he be on his way to heads? Tell you more about that and we're going on the lines after this. This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go, let's go. On the day when, well, people are talking about Adam Ita on his way back to Celtic, the deal seems to be done in half a million plus a million add on and maybe a little bit more and a sell-on clause as well. Stephen again and Andy Walker here with Paul Kinney and Laurie is on the line in Glasgow. Good evening, Laurie. Good evening, Paul. Good evening, Stephen. Good evening, Andy. Hi, Laurie. Hey, I'll take my point to Stephen and Paul. I expressed my opinion and then he pleased to ask the guys what they're thinking about my comments. Firstly, I welcome the addition of Adam Ita. You know, once it's finalized, I on board, I'm slightly surprised that Celtic opinion about the money that they are, but they are. Now, here's my point. Brendan Burgess, head up to, has always operated with one forward up front. So, is that likely to continue? Because I cannot relate the imagine that Celtic would have paid nine and a half million pounds, including add-ons for Adam Ita. If he's going to have that power player, Lamar, our inspiration, our substitute, he's likely to be. I can't assume I'm coming on making Cammy our PMC for 15 and 20 minutes a game. So, my question is, as Brendan Burgess likely to change his strategy and deploy two cycles of fun, I don't think at all because that's not how he says about his business. Oh, do you think that Adam Ita, ultimately, is going to be a kilo footer, he's a successor, it's in the forward. The final thought. Yeah, it's a very good question, Laurie. Yes, I think you make a really good point, Laurie, and I agree with you. I don't think you'll play both the way that Brendan Rogers likes to play. And it's not just one striker through the middle with the two wingers. It's normally a physical striker when you look back at Brendan Rogers' first time around when he had Ods and Edward, and you had Scott Sinclair, Paddy Roberts on either side. That was the way you like to play. And if you remember at that time, Laurie, the football was sparkling. So, he will want to, I think, I think you're right, I think in time, Adam Ita will be the number one striker there. You're dead right to say, hang on a minute, can we justify paying this fee? What's going to happen? And I think the answer is, he will eventually become the number one striker. And maybe it's a kilo who will have to settle for some time off the bench. What do you think, Stephen, because the manager did say, "Kiyogo has started the season pre-season so well, he said he's really back, he's up for it clearly." That's a great question. Yeah, I think Andy touched on it as well. I think so. I think they need three. I think attitudes have changed in terms of, since the five-sub role was introduced, attacking players almost expect to play 60-70 minutes. And that's it. And they come off, especially by club Celtic, with who are going to have games every couple of days and especially the extra two games in the Champions League group stages. They'll absolutely need as many good players as they can get. Especially, you see again, it was almost a reminder in Sunday of how kind of delicate Kiyogo's shoulder situation is in terms of it. It literally can pop out at any situation. Brendan Rogers knows what he's getting at me. Andy mentioned the odds in Edward. I don't remember, in the south, he was saying odds in Edward for about eight or nine million. I think the activity after the loan. And there was probably more question marks over that one than there was over the Adamida one. But Brendan Rogers knows what he's looking for. And we have progressed as the football world's progress in terms of nine million outside of Scotland. Nothing. I mean, you're bringing in that Champions League money. You have to speculate. You can't win a league and play Champions League musics and then rock up the Champions League group stages with the exact same team. You have to keep going and prove it and sell it need to do more business. Here's what the manager said yesterday, Laurie, about Eda. Now, we know he is coming now, but this is what he said when he was asked. Hopefully it's always been an issue for us. But like I say, we concentrate on the players that are here. And hopefully, like I said, by the end of the window, we can reinforce and strengthen the squad. It's ongoing. I've no update on it. He's obviously a player that did really well for us last year. But he's still a Norwich player. He came on for them yesterday. So I don't want to speak too much on that. So yeah, but we'll see what the rest of the window brings. Can I ask the three of you, what about the reports today in Italy, Atalanta? And again, a fifth bid for Celtic, apparently rejected how many times did they go to come in? Laurie, what do you feel when Matt O'Rellia, you resigned, although his attitude has been, well, exemplary, hasn't it? Well, as an exemplary, hasn't made any public occurrences. But I do think it's inevitable that he will go. As I've stated to you previously, Celtic at a selling club. As is every team at a selling club, we have a Manchester City sold their arboret for 82 million pounds yesterday. So I don't blame the guy if he wants to go. He's limited, starting stuff on a bigger stage. Celtic, as far as I'm concerned, was a mere stock, a mere pastor brother on his football and Johnny. What did the people? Was it 1.5 million pounds of N. K. Dunge? Yep, phenomenal. So we have, considerably, they can multiply the proper by 20 days. Then it's an au brainer, both a player and club alike. I just hope that when he does go, I kind of preempt that situation because another, officially, hasn't asked for that, for a transfer. So Celtic's played it by the book, as is the player. When he does go, I just hope that I follow up on Ado as seen as a ready meet. I've never made the policeman for a matter rail because he's not. He's got nothing to attribute. And well, I also hope, of course, that the shallow and some more money can buy at a policeman who might know immediately, annually, not a rally. But, you know, we'll be up to the mark. That's my thoughts. What are you thinking about the back, which Andy and Stephen said earlier on, you've got eight games coming in the Champions League, and Celtic won't need to do better there. And Andy, you were saying, what about another central defender? Yeah, certainly. A central defender. I left back. I would, I mean, just touching on the matter, really. I think sometimes this is the benefit of Scottish football, playing with a really big club who are involved in European football, Champions League football. And you're on the doorstep of, you know, the richest league in the world. And if you can prove that you can perform at Champions League level, you're playing big games up here against rangers. And matter really has been absolutely terrific. And I think that's what's happened with Virgil Van Dyke in the past with, you know, Andy Robertson, Stephen's brother, John, who, you know, could have been at Celtic, but, you know, he's going to villain. What has he been there five, six years now, something like that? Yeah, six years, I think. Yeah. So, it's sometimes a benefit being on a doorstep of a really rich league. Because, you know, they watch us closely. And anyone who's good, you know, ambition to play in a richer league. I'm not saying for bigger clubs, it's just a richer league. And you're playing against Man United, Man City Arsenal. It's very attractive. But Champions League round the corner, Stephen, what do you think is going to happen now? You mentioned that Ellie and the programme, not just the fans. Brendan Rogers will be looking for players ready to play at the highest level in the next, the coming weeks. Yes, and Andy spoke a bit centre-half. There's always, there's always going to be players that are always going to split a fan's opinion. Brendan Rogers really likes lame skills. Brendan Rogers trusts lame skills. So, his argument might be about not bringing a starter because he's comfortable with the skills, Cartha Vickers partnership. The bit they would worry me is any injury to Cartha Vickers, all of a sudden it becomes lame skills and Stephen Welsh. And that's where they think they need to think more. I think that's they're going to ask fans to go to be probably more expensive this year with the extra home game in the Champions League. But to go again for the money, I think the fans are looking to get into this Champions League groups and really make a mark. I know they did some good performances and stuff like that. And they're not asking to go and come try and compete to win because financially it's impossible but just be more ambitious in terms of the European stuff. And Leah Belka, we haven't talked about him yet. He has reportedly turned down the chance to join Malmo on loan and at the same time, Lydia Warsaw apparently considering a 1.2 million offer for Navrovsky. Yeah, I'm sure, Laurie, there was a lot of investment you would have seen in Lagerbielka and Navrovsky. Neither of them seem to be fancied by the manager. It is another area that seems to be a key position for Celtic to strengthen. Laurie? Yeah, absolutely. You know, I can't look in my head round the guard on Lagerbielka and Navrovsky. I'm trying to call if they were saying prior to abundance appointment or after it because it's incomprehensible to me that they spent eight million pounds between both players. I never got an engine. I think they did. I think there was a couple more. I think Yang is where I think they already were down the road. I think Brendan were just touching that. They were already down the road with signings. We know Angie Posterkog will like to get his business done very quickly in Windows. So I think they were already in the works bag. It's to spend so much money on two cents a half that hardly played any football. What about Kyogo's injury? Here's what the manager said on Sunday. Yeah, he had a shoulder when he went in. Obviously, the guy's just trying to put it back in again, but he's felt the pain. So we didn't want to risk that. So hopefully he'll be OK in a couple of days. Sunshine and Lee Thandi, you used to play there. You've played there for Celtic. You played there, of course, for Hebs. And Celtic enjoyed it, especially the first half. Yeah, I think long periods in the game were very good. You know, at least the road's one of the toughest venues to come to in the league. So I thought we'd play with a lot of control. She had scored more goals, weren't clinical enough in the box. But standard of a game was very good. Start at the game as you'd want to start. So there was a little period in the second half where we just, the game became too long for us, and we straight-strangle too direct too early. And that's where I stretched the game a little bit. But overall, I thought we were very good for the victory and played well in a lot for long periods. Yeah, I'm just surprised the game finished to know. I thought Celtic's football was really good. And I know Kyong scored the first goal, but I think he could have been more impressive. He struggled for an end product, given that he's so much of the ball and looks so promising, and you thought so many times he was going to get shot away and maybe score another goal when he was cutting in from that right-hand side. But his end product was poor and much the same way in the second half, Celtic could have scored more. So the big surprise was that Celtic didn't win more comfortably than the two goals, but obviously very encouraging to see the attack in play, the quick passing, it was very impressive. Stephen? Yeah, I mean the first half, even in the second half at times you felt like if Celtic got a third at any point they would run right at. They then got to stage where between a little bit of maybe sloppiness and a bit of caution, because as Brendan Rodgers touched on it's not been the best place for Celtic in the last five or ten years in terms of some of the results there. So they just made one to make sure the game was safe in the end, obviously a little bit of concern with Bowease. Yeah, Bowe hit the bar. Bowe hit the bar, and you've missed that many chances. You've gave Hibbs a chance in a game they were absolutely no chance. But I do think we speak about how important the substitutes are now in the modern game. One of the biggest strengths with the hands post-the-coglo teams was able to hit 60 minutes. It was off you come and you've been adding more guys like that would come on. So didn't need more business and need better quality in the attacking areas off the bench. Bowe put them under pressure. Get it? Music. That's very good for you. Yeah, music man, yeah. Maybe not. Didn't you get it? Yeah. Very under pressure. Yeah, what's that? I said I've been drawn around the 60s and the 70s. All right, okay, well that was probably, that was maybe the 80s. No, 70s pressure. Was it okay? Yeah, Laurie. So final point before we go to the break, so it was just nearly a year ago in the League Cup that Celtic lost and went out. So any worries this weekend for the game with Hibbs? None worse, I think. You know, watch and have to the weekend. I need a calculator to keep us going. Well, I think the interesting thing, knowing that there are 15 players out of contract, you hope that David Gray, I know they've had, you know, Nick Montgomery and Jack Ross and when they got to a seven? Lee Johnson. Lee Johnson. Lee Johnson. So many managers who have been there for like less than a year. So I hope he's given a bit of time, but obviously with defeats when you're not looking good, it draws attention to your team, but there is scope there to have a totally different looking team, not too far down the road. Over the star, man. Okay, now I'm exhausting that one. Yeah, in the heroes. Steven, this weekend, any worries for Celtic in the League Cup? No, I think it's south, it's game, how they want it to go. I think if they play anything like the weekend, then Laurie might be right. It's how many. I think that'll be a big message. I think the reminder from last year against Manloch, a house sore. The Christmas months where they've been for Celtic, seeing the League Cup throw fear. So used to taking it back to South Park, not competing for it at the business end. So I think they'll not want to take any chances this week. And Laurie, final point, you're always fair. Do you think Rangers tonight will go through 1-1? I do think they'll go through and I'll be honest with you. I certainly wouldn't be cheering on one because that would be a bridge too far for me, but if they do prevail, and if they get to the group stages, then they'll have to be good for the cooler fashion that's going through, but because it's not lost to me, I think this is kind of a live season for the first people future. When a Scottish team gains automatic entry into their Champions League group stages. Yeah, absolutely right. Champions League and whoever's the champions won't be going automatically into it. The last five years, that cycle, some results have been so impressive, mostly from Rangers, but once that five-year cycle drops off, we're really struggling. And you need everyone to try and contribute. So even if everyone, and I'm being silly here, but if everyone, if Kelly do it, St. Marin do it, hearts, Rangers, and Celtic, go deep into these tournaments, is it too soon? Is it too soon? It's taken on the year. It depends who you're up against, like these different countries, Turkey and Czech Republic who, you know, depends what results they get, because if they keep improving the way that we've been sliding, then I don't think there's much hope. Steve, will you work out for us during the break? Yeah, I think we'll lose the season. I think it's like five seasons worth. So I do think we need the clubs to go a long way. I think the problem, I think it's 0.5 you get for qualifying wins. So I think it's really making a group stage that makes a difference. Laurie, thanks for the call, 0.8, 0.8, 17, 17, 700s. This is the good ideal football show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go. Champions the qualifier tonight, round three, Rangers, Denimokiev, 1-1 from last week. And Stephen, what a moment when cereal deserts, and you know, your head buddy last night, we read him on Friday, you're saying he's much maligned, but 22 goals last week, scored at the weekend. And that goal could be massive for Rangers. Yeah, and I think he's obviously, he's come out fighting, saying that he gets criticism, I think it's always going to be the case. I think whether you're the Rangers captain, you're the Rangers striker. You're always open to criticism, but I do like how resilient he seems to be. I mean, he's never injured. He's always puts himself out there. He puts himself in any situations to miss chances. I actually thought in the hearts game, I thought John shut up played well at 10-castle, but in the hearts game, I thought he did, he played well. He was very unlucky with a couple of opportunities. There's always the odd one, we think, what's he thinking there, but he kept putting himself in the positions and he's got his reward in terms of his goal in Poland and his goal again at the weekend. Andy, as a striker, what do you see? All like he's attitude because he keeps coming back for more. And you know, it was interesting recently where he said it had been a fight. It was a goal after the goal last week. It'd been nice to get a bit more appreciation. Now, I'm sure he gets that from the Rangers fans, but I like his attitude and the goal last week, I really liked it. I mean, his involvement when the ball was played up to him on the halfway line and he held the defender off just a nice touch in the path of his teammate and all of a sudden, Rangers are on the break and not only that, he gets himself up. And he times he's run to perfection for that cross to make all the difference to get Rangers that draw. So a big player tonight. And can you imagine him getting another winner? You really endear himself to the vast majority of the support if he gets on the score sheet tonight. And if they go through tonight, that's four to five million pounds. And then the two games away from, in fact, the game starts at six, doesn't it? 20 game tonight, close to that 30 to 40 million pounds. Paul, you know what it's like? You're so near and yet so far, it's a big step tonight. But let's say they do do it. It's, as you say, another four or five. And then you're on the verge of making a huge step. And that would, I mean, that's obviously what Rangers are hoping for, given their financial situation. What's the team update? This is what the manager said at the weekend after that game with Motherworld. We have one doubt towards tomorrow from the squad that was there in the weekend. It's Liam Belligan, who felt something at the end of the game. So he didn't train today. We will see how he's tomorrow. The rest everybody came while out of the out of the games. Of course, it's now it's really short. Today was the second day. So it was really a very calm training. It's more recovery now because it's still 48 hours or less than 48 hours after a game. And it's about making the choices tomorrow with who to start and knowing for several positions that that I need to change and who to put in in that moments and to make good decisions. Yeah, what you need in the beginning of the game, what you need maybe at the end of the game, also to think about over times, for example, that's also a possibility. So yeah, interesting choices to make. Yeah, it could be extra time tonight. Steven, what are you thinking then? It sounds as though Belligan's he's not going to play, is he? No. I wrote out a team. I've got an issue with the left one. I've left a blank interest to see what it goes with. The thing, butland, James Tavernier right back, sent a half-partnership of John Sutter in proper Yoma is the left back. I think they sent him bids, Conan Barren, do you mind? I think he's got to play off the right. He looks very comfortable coming in his left. As he showed at the weekend, he looks a real threat on that left foot coming in. So I think he's playing the right. I think Tom Lorn so play behind serial dancers, but it's this left position. Obviously Cortez starts to start the day in the first game in the season, but Scott Wright got the nod the other day. I'd probably edge towards McCausland in terms of potentially goal the way. I think he can get a good 60 or 70 minutes out of McCausland, but me playing the left, is he happy there? Is he comfortable there? I think Cheerney has made the right hand side his own at the minute, so I think if he's wanting to get in his team, he's got to be able to sign the way it's first leg, didn't he? He started the first leg. Yeah, he hadn't played at the weekend before that, but then he came in, and of course Scott Wright was in, then he was out, then he was back in. You understand? I don't know how he got a nod. He came on for Wright at the weekend, I think. So yeah, I'm pretty much along with the same lines as Stephen with regard to the starting of living, and obviously Deisser's is the man in form and the one that you're hoping will get the goal. I don't think he really knows how light they are in those positions until we actually write out a team and you look at the options, so I'm sure that's maybe one of the things for Clemont's thinking, getting in tonight. If that four or five million you can win this tie, is that going to be made available to strengthen not only his team, but his squad. And having the play, oh, you tell the players not to look ahead, but Salzburg are 20, both very difficult teams in their own right, but it's absolutely winnable. So get through this tie tonight, which will be a hard game. I think it might go right to the wire tonight, but extra time, maybe? Potentially, I don't think it was much between the teams. I think Ranger's finished, much stronger in Poland, but as I said, he didn't have the home advantage, neither do Rangers in a second leg. Harry's been on a big Rangers fan with two questions. One, what's happening with Dujean Sterling? He's not starting, and he likes him. He's got ability, someone who can play in a variety of positions. I think I would just throw it back at you and say, who do you want to leave out the team to get him in? I think sometimes playing in lots of different positions works in your favour, to a point, but it's got a test stage now where nobody knows what Dujean Sterling's best position is. I think if he had absolutely said right, and I sent him a field, I've always played sent him a field, et cetera, then you're saying, as he better than what we've got, but nobody still really sure what his best position is. I mean, if Tavernier was injured, he could play there. If Red Van Yomas was injured, he could play there. He could play, you know, right left midfield. As Stephen's saying, he's quite comfortable in a variety of positions, but you do wonder whether he's a first choice for your best starting a living. I'm not so sure. And it's been quite for a few days, but Harry wants to know what a ranger still needs, and if he can get some money. Life winger. Exactly. Yeah. Yeah, just writing that out. It's glaring. They need someone in there. I think, as I said, there's a couple I think, Matondo and McOsland both are more comfortable in the right. I think Scott Wright, he's been a ranger for a while now, I think, for himself. I think he could move on and go and play regular football somewhere, but I think, if Jenny's going to have their able to keep Jenny fit, and we said a couple of serious knee injuries over his career, he'd keep him fit. He looks a real threat off the right hand side, but that left hand side. I still think they need to know a striker. I'm not really sure what's going on with Danilo, but in the attacking positions, does Tom Long score enough to justify being the Rangers number 10. That's the main squad number. I mean, that position. And behind the striker. Yeah, and so much to happen, either in or out. I mean, you've got someone like Todd Cantwell, who was a big player last season, but he obviously doesn't want to be there once a way, what sort of money a Rangers going to get for him. And does that affect how much they can spend? They have spent a lot of money. The Danilo one is a bit puzzling because he's on big money, but doesn't seem to play a hell of a lot. I think when you listen to that interview with John Benin, you talk about, you know, Feli come on in the relationship, we're into him and he's into other clubs. You've got to take that one board and it's not, it's not a one year, you know, turn everything around. I don't think it happens as quickly as that. And I know people will say, listen, Ang Postley Coglu come in and turn that around quickly, but I think Rangers now, I can't make a case for them winning the league. But you can, as a club with a fair amount of money, a fair squad, you can certainly turn it around in time where you can be a lot better. And that means, you know, looking to the bench as well, look, look what Brendan Rogers does, he turns to his bench and he's got a bit of quality there. And obviously the Celtic supporters are wanting even more. Celtic can afford that. Rangers are not so strong financially. And that's why tonight is such a big game. The financial aspect of it is not just the money they'll get from tonight, but the prospect of actually getting into the Champions League and getting a serious pot of cash. You mentioned Churney there, the manager obviously praised him after his performance and his goal at the weekend. Yes, of course. And not only that also in his combination play, like you saw, he's assist, but also his defensive work. So he's an experienced player who can help the team a lot in the way we want to play football. It's really positive for him already two games and a very important assistant and now a very good goal. It's what we expected from him. Of course, we expect much more UCL. So I need to take him off after 55 minutes of physically he needs to make steps the next couple of weeks. But like I said already the past week, he came out of four weeks already after the Euro. So that's that part of the season. But we are a club now who needs to compete directly in the league in Europe. A lot of leagues didn't start yet. A lot of teams are not playing in Europe. So yeah, that's a different case for all these players who play the Euros for him. It's about being fresh in every minute that he can be. And for the moment it was 55 minutes, we will see how the recovery is to make decisions towards the Tuesday game. And the second error will keep you right up today because the kickoff is soon 20 against Salzburg and the winner playing Rangers or Dynamo Kiev. If you're heading to the game, give us a call Andy Walker's here. So too is the Invincible. And that's what we're calling you Steven McGinn, former... How long does he keep that tag for? How long? What do you think? It's only Paul with you. It's done. But am I the only one? It's done, yeah. Four cut 40 games unbeaten. Of course. Four cut 40 games unbeaten. So last season. Rolled into this season, I think, winnily. News is next. This is the Gore radio football show. Listen live, weeknights from five on go. Let's go. This is the Gore radio football show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Call, oh wait, wait, 17, 17, 700. Headlines in the first hour. Adam Edo will be on his way to Celtic. Nine and a half million is eight and a half million down and then a million add-on and a percentage going of sell-on. So Norwich, if and when he goes from Celtic, Bo Jamnioski, he'll be on his way to Spain, off to La Liga. 4.25 million plus over two million add-ons. It's just good news for Aberdeen in terms of the money. And for Rangers tonight, one of the team news. Well, in the next hour ahead of the game, and it's a massive game this evening. And the money that's involved in it, absolutely huge if Rangers go through. And what do Rangers need? We've seen that before. We haven't mentioned lawnshankling for some time, but for so long. So many Rangers fans. Stephen, the number of Rangers fans who say, get lawnshankling and it'll be a different season for them. Yeah, and you only look back to last January, if they'd been out and got lawnshankling. Then when the league was so tight, we'd have made a difference. You think of the games, they lost that game at home to Mallewell when he was 2-1. Apart from having a penalty look, as if they could have played all night in that score. So that's it. That's a gamble you take. And I think Rangers know now, looking at the team in the squad, they know they need business, if they're going to compete for the league this season. Andy, nevertheless tonight, you're up for it. Looking forward to watching this game. It's on the BBC tonight. Yep. Because we were surprised and disappointed we couldn't see St. Marin the other night, nor are Kelly, but Rangers on tonight on the telly. But it's the 50,000 who'll be there. Imagine it will be pretty much a sellout. Yeah, you're actually losing the Iberks factor, if you like. We spoke earlier about the impressive European results in recent years in Scottish football. Rangers have been at the heart of that. And obviously, you get a bit more from your own surroundings. So there's something, something will be missing tonight. And everyone is on edge, desperate to get through to the next round. Here's the manager speaking about tonight and Rangers performance and they need a big one. A very big one comparable, I think, with Tuesday. And you need a good efficiency. You will not get 90 shots like today or nine on target like today. So you need to be really efficient in that game. And it's a team that showed a lot of quality the last couple of weeks, but the last couple of years also by playing together. So yeah, we need to be on top of our game and to have everybody at his best level. And then to have the 50,000 behind us to to push us through the difficult moments. It's also it's always been crucial at Iberks. And now it's important we get this at Hamden also. Although I know that the fans are a little bit further away of the pitch and that's different. So I hope that they want to shout a little bit harder than also, because it gives so much energy to my team. Back to that in a moment or two breaking news at the Sky Sports desk. It's come up. We mentioned it in the first hour, Kwan on his way from Celtic to Hibbs on a season long loan. Stephen, what are you making that? That could be good business. I mean, Hibbs need reinforcements because quite a few of the players that might not feature this year have still got a year left in the contracts. Yeah, and over the last few years, obviously finishing bottom six. The midfield from the weekend, Dylan Levitt, you'll know Josh Campbell, they've all been there the last few years. And you're thinking, spent a lot of money over these times, brought in a lot of new signings. It's still the same guys that have been there a few years ago. So absolutely, they needed a midfield run. Kwan started really well at St Marin. Obviously, season finished prematurely due to injury. Back to Celtic, but he looked promising enough. He looked bright and a couple of the friendlies for Celtic in pre-season. So a good step for Hibbs to get the reinforcements in the door. Yeah, it's just a market we're not aware of. South Korean players and how good bad or indifferent they can be. But I agree with Stephen. I think he showed some good stuff with Celtic, but he didn't look as though he could hold down a regular sport. But he showed in flashes at St Marin that he's got some ability. And it's up to him now to show what he can do at Hibbs. It's a really good stage for him. Back at Rangers, then, the big game tonight, 7.45. Jack Boland was asked, you know, he's come to Rangers. He's obviously been alone a few times in his career, but he said he came here for nights like tonight for the big games. I think it's just what you want to be involved in. Every game for this club is a huge one. The expectation is to win. We have ambitions of what we want to achieve. We want to get to the Champions League qualifying round and ultimately into the Champions League. So these are games. You don't want to be waiting around to march to be having big games. It's good to have them this early. And like I said, coming back to the new guys, it's good for them to experience it already. You know, we're in the data business now and these games are important and tomorrow's not different. The manager spoke about the goalkeeper. No, it's important and it shows also that we're on a good way because people with that quality and they feel like this story is not going the right way. They step out of the story and they will have several other opportunities. So Jack feels what's going on inside the building, what's going on inside the squad, how things are evolving here in every sense. Things that fans cannot see because they only see the game and the result that you guys also. So it's a really big signal, I think, that somebody with his after his season, somebody with this quality is saying that I think it's a really symbolical thing. Andy, it's a story about we're not quite sure why it has come up. Maybe they were just asked. Jack, Paul, are you happy here or you? Is there unrest? But he said, I'm not going anywhere. Well, the range of supporters will hope that is the case. I mean, he's a player that could play at the high level. I think he was a bit unlucky not to get involved in England squad for the World Cup. I think I was more of a reflection of how they view Scottish football in England rather than his ability. But he's a big player for them. He made another couple of important saves at the weekend against Mother Wolf when Rangers were the dominant side. But when you make it an important save when it's so tight, when it's 2-1, it helps you get three points. That's points that a goalkeeper has been so important to making sure the team secured all three points and they didn't drop another couple. David's been on a few other people over the last few days asking what about Callum McGregor's decision? He's not going to play for Scotland anymore. 63 caps and he goes, what a contribution. He's been over in a flash now, Andy. So were you surprised or did you expect? Yeah, I was surprised. I don't know why. Just because he plays 60 games every season, I was sure someone like Callum McGregor and Andy Robertson, I was sure they were the type of guys that would go on and maybe even beat Kenny's 102 caps for Scotland. Yeah, just when you look at the Ronaldo's and Messi's of this world, they've got 140, 50, 60, 70 caps. We spoke recently about, I don't know who was playing Finland, but even someone like Timo Pookie, I remember doing a game. He's got about 120, 130 caps. I was sure we were going to see someone do that. I'm actually putting Stephen's brother John in that same bracket. I'm sure he'll go on and get a remarkable amount. Well, I hope so. I'm disappointed for Scotland. That's the only thing. Stephen? Yeah, I think it's a real blow for the national team. I think from a south point of view, I think they'll be happy. Callum McGregor plays an unbelievable amount of football, and if they can, his football is limited without effect, and he's out of need. Callum McGregor, every time the play football, he's an essential part of the team. I don't know if it's something he's been thinking about for a while as a reflection, because the Euros are real sick now for everyone involved. I think Callum McGregor asked me to think of where he was injury-wise. It looked like he might not play any part in the end of last season. Then he has that Boston. I thought he'd an amazing finish for Celtic, but then you stop. You have that couple of weeks off, and then you're going again for my Euros. I don't think Callum McGregor looked fully fit at the Euros. So, you never know. I mean, people have cut out their time. If we were to touch and get into a world cup, could he be persuaded to? Because I don't think I'll go with a lot of options with nobody quite like Callum McGregor. I know Billy Gilmore is of that oak, but I think Callum McGregor's a hugely integral part of why he's got on the Mingu in the last few years. Amazing. He's only 30 once a great point you made. Look at Mardrich. For example, there's another one. Yeah, Stephen Davis. Stephen Davis arranges him out here, but what do you know, about 120 of them in Northern Ireland? He's the most capped player on these islands, plus Northern Ireland. Yeah, it's just that I really admire players that can go beyond, you know, the 100 caps, even get more than that. And just every time as an international year available, you're fit. And not only that, you play well and contribute. So, as Stephen says, it's a big blow for Scotland. And I just thought he had a good number of years left, but it's his own call, and good luck to him. And one door close is another one. Slams in your face. Well, so who's it going to be an opportunity for? Well, I'm hoping Lewis Ferguson can get back to feel fitness. I know he's not the same type of player. Maybe he'll get a bit more game time, but we're still pretty strong in that midfield area. We've got good options. Stephen? I think because you always, yes, Jose Kalmigaga with this almost like robotic filter in terms of just, he just always plays and he plays well. Something I thought for salted to get better in European football is maybe a partner for him at times in Europe. He always, he is the kind of defensive midfielder, but I don't know over the years of the best salted teams in European football. In the last 20 years, I've always had a new Lening, a Paul Lambert, a Victor Wingama. I've always had that kind of defence, because I think salted to get counter-tucked quite a lot in Europe. And he wonders just highlights Kalmigaga in terms of his age and stuff, but he's not going to go forever. So, could he get a partner in to help him with some of these European games over the next few years? What are you thinking on Ben Doke? So, he left Celtic, we know a couple of years ago, what about age 16, he's now just turned 18. He played a few times last season, but we don't reckon he'll get much game time this year. He needs to play. I think from out from touching on the national team, I think he has to play football this year. It gets to a point where I mean he's a hugely promising talent, but hugely promising talents have already played a lot of football by 18. He's not played a lot of football, so he has to get football in this year. He needs to be injury-free. We know he's got the talent, but he needs to be injury-free. He needs to play a season where he's pretty much in the team every week, getting game time every week, starting more often than not, and showing everyone what he can do. You would love him to be injury-free and playing for whoever, whether it's back up here or down south. Just playing regularly every week and making a difference, making your team better and having a bit of success. I mean, you did that, Andy. A different part of your career. It was later on, you were still a young fit man, but you came back later on. But for Ben Doke, is it not business he could come back for a season-long loan? Yeah, it depends. It depends whether he would get the game time that he's looking for. If you're talking about Celtic, it depends what Brendan Rogers thinks of him. He would obviously know the potential and the talent he's got. I just want someone who is as talented as that, and I know sometimes you get huge talent at a young age of 15, 16, and all the clubs down south know about it, and they'll take a chance because the amount of money that they have to pay for them, it's just a drop in the ocean in comparison to what they are. We were talking about Billy Gilmer last night, and Napoli being mentioned, Stephen, you could see him playing there. Again, he's somebody who got game time last season. Would you reckon the pathway for him? And I'm thinking, you know, are Scotland hat on? Yeah, well, I mean, he played a lot of football. Last year, I think he played a lot more football than obviously Brighton, a very good side, and they had their European stuff and played a lot of football. I think it was a really successful season for him. I think he's the same as well. I think he's been stopped at times. I don't know what he'll say. He's now played regular football. If I don't know that, I can only imagine he's not been guaranteed that he's going to be playing as much football this year, and that's maybe why he may be going to Napoli. But yeah, if a national team hat on you just want all these guys playing as much football as they can. When you see loose Ferguson going out early, and actually being the top midfield player over the last season before he injured, I think that can be an inspiration for for someone like Billy Gilmore, who I think would do really well in that type of environment. You sure would. What do you think, Scotland fans, 08, 08, 17, 17, 700? Hard to believe, isn't it, Andy? That we're still what, early August, and it seems as though we've never been away over the summer now, you know, the leaf back. We enjoyed the anticipation and the excitement of the Euros and what it might bring. But as Stephen says, it was a real down there for all of us, and it's great now that we've got the League and Cup fixtures to look forward to in our weekly basis. Great to have it back. Alice has been on asking, what about the goalkeeping position, Stephen, for Scotland and Andy, what do you feel as well that we don't have an out-and-out number one? I know it was Angus Gunn in the Euros. Well, I think Steve Clark has put a lot of faith in Angus Gunn. And I think up to the Euros, he'd been fine for Scotland. I don't think he played well at the Euros, but I don't think anyone that nobody really can walk away and say they absolutely knocked out the park in terms of their own individual performance. But yeah, as a worry, has been a worry for the last few years, the long-term state of the goalkeeping position. So he won over the next, even the nation's league as a younger goal out there that we can start the blood into the squad. I mean, you'll get out long-term picture of what it might look like. Salzburg are one up, so I had to jump in, Andy. So they're three-one in aggregate, so it's looking good for them. The game's only 18 minutes old, so Salzburg won up, so they've got one foot in the next round, up against Rangers, or we hope Rangers are within you. Obviously, Rangers will have someone looking at that game and they've been doing their own analysis anyway, but just come back to the goalkeepers when you see someone who's been in the Scotland squad, I'm talking about Robey, McCrory, at Kamalnock, you hope he really flourishes at Kamalnock. He's now got an opportunity to play every week. He's the undisputed number one at Kamalnock. Can he have the type of season? I know it's not started well for him. He's conceded four, he's conceded three, you know, difficult games when you're up against Salzburg, and then when you're a man down in the next one. But you hope someone that him can go on to bigger a bit. If you put yourself in Robey McCrory's shoes, he's probably looking at maybe going out to play regular football. Liam Kelly who's been the part of the Scotland squad now not playing any football. He's back up to Jack Butler and the Rangers, so he's probably thinking if I can do well for Kamalnock, I can get Liam Kelly's place. Yeah, actually Jack Butler spoke about Liam Kelly yesterday. This is what he said. If you know Robey McCrory, you know what sort of intense guy he was, so I love training with Robey and he was brilliant and I'm glad that he's got his opportunity to go and play. With that, it brings Liam in, a man with great experience, a man that knows the club inside out, and also a great character to have in the goalkeeper group and in the changing room, so offer something different and certainly someone that I think is going to be of value to us as well. Andy, you wouldn't expect to see too much of Liam Kelly's really good goalkeeper, Scottish International. Where's your head on that one? Were you surprised he went to Rangers? Yeah, probably, but maybe he was his heart telling him he wanted to go back to his club probably, you know, he'd been there before and he's obviously getting getting more money. It'll be a good move financially for him, for his family and you never know. You never know what can happen. You've always got to be ready prepared for the unexpected and be ready to play at that level. It's a big challenge for him. Stephen, what are you thinking? Liam Kelly, it's going there to Rangers, given that Jack Butler is clearly, I mean, he's not going anywhere, Jack Butler. Yeah, well, I think it means a huge session. Toby's the mother of captain, club captain, playing every week for them, so I'm sure it was a big call. I think finance plays a big part in it. It's much to anything. He caught me off guard there because in the distance, I was looking at Hamden, it's just cereal thinking of some of the European nights over the years of eyebrows were a huge night for this, for it is for Rangers financially and stature. They want to play Champions League football, it's just incredible to see that it's going to be at Hamden. It's massive, but you know, and Liam Kelly, just from the point of view, we're thinking about Scotland there. Look, we can understand the chance to go to Rangers then, and you know, and you played for Celtic. Once you've played, if you're getting off games and do well, then for life, look at another goalkeeper who was playing out of his skin, is under Clark at Harz, but Craig Gordon was there. You know, he went as a number two is under Clark and then, of course, Craig injured and is under, became the number one. So I think like most players, every individual believes in their own ability. And I'm sure Liam Kelly will think, I'll get a game and I'll show everyone that I'm capable of. Good show. They were Robbie McCrory getting game time. We know it's been a tough start, but you would imagine nothing beats getting easy playing every week, getting better and making a difference, draw attention to yourself with really good saves and getting your team some valuable points. Oh, wait, oh, wait, 17, 17, 700. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen, anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go onto the lines now. Stephen Resid is on. Scotland and mother will fan. Stephen, good evening. How are you doing? Hello, we're going to be good. Yeah, good. Thank you. How are you? Yeah, I'm okay. I'm okay. I think the game is Saturday. I don't think anybody to the breakers, we've got a point, to be honest. I thought, with a great chance, first five minutes, still in the mower. Yeah. Rangers don't get me wrong, Rangers, but for 20 minutes, and probably deserved a week and a half time. But I thought, in the entire few years, either way, the better side, but for the jackpot, when you're under, you're leaving, having a point, given the fact that you're going to the game, with seven players, and you pick another one up, with a bottle of water, a bottle of water, you know, and the... Excellent pronunciation, Stephen. Very impressive. I would just need one after the one. The only point I make about mother would you snooze, Stephen, if only you had a captain. You know, Stephen again, with us tonight. Yeah. I know you, and then without seven players, it was... Did the manager have anything at the end when he said he was surprised that there wasn't that much injury time? Well, I'm going... That might be my conspiracy, they had coming on here, but I'm telling you, there's a mother walk through one up in the last minute. There was no way it was on two minutes, no way. It sounds like it was bizarre, though, watching it in two minutes go up, because obviously, even just the amount of subs, I've been up in that... Still, we almost think that can't be written. That must be a four, or maybe someone's put it down around. But you don't get very often these days. You don't, although... Especially in the same half. Yeah, exactly. All the subs aren't sure. Yeah, yeah, second half. There'll be no suggestion that they can spare us to the landing. No, it's supposed to be said, it's a sub, so... I'm not, I'm not following that. But some of these just know that I'm a job like that. I don't think I think that's... All that's been bought to go there with, with seven end of them, putting on the shoulder with that thing. I'm quite happy with the performance, and I think it'll be okay. That's huge. We just need to get creative players back to it, and I think that that's the idea that was the one at the moment. It would ask them when the mullet would play. It's quite a little bit more advanced going in the midfield. It's probably a bit better. I would say, clean, deeper. You're saying that you're saying that striker today for mullet? We have to, to mullet all fans, Stephen, what you're thinking about that? To what we want? We need options at the end of the patch, obviously, that was kind of a... There's a battle, we wouldn't know the way that it was, but I guess the core point is to still be hostile before the rest of our team, and come in and say things like, "I'm interested on these, I'm late for these." We're vulnerable. I still want you to be in competition. We say that after that, because I don't know again, but once we get, each end of the mother will shut, the school's goals, I'm woman happy. Well, he's wearing the mother will shut, he has my full support, and it's definitely a production that we need the options, because a lot of work was kind of at the weekend, and you've got all the work there for Robinson in a bay, because of the injuries, and all over the country. I think you're right to highlight, Stephen, Tony, what, and we've got a pressure he's under, because as you rightly say, he's got to leave under strange circumstances, and you're dead right? If he scores goals, everyone will be cheering on, but if he doesn't, all that stuff that he said will be throwing back at him, and he'll need to have broad shoulders to withstand that, and obviously, but your man's stomach, a lot of people are getting injured. That's a big blow so early in the season, when you've obviously putting your faith in him, and I think that's why they've done very quick business getting Tony wanting. Stephen, you said you think you'll be okay this season, so what's okay? What do you feel? I think that I've just come back into the season with my other dog, for some foremost, is to make sure we're all safe, and then the man that is working with that, or you think you're going to have a good season, you can kind of adjust, get our expectations from there on, and I think we're going to need to be patient in terms of moving up, pick up what the point is towards that point in the season, because it ends in the last half, and I just hope that the fan, again, our patient will still get away, because we don't have that done last season, that everybody still talks a bit, when you go tough team with that, a one-bar wait to carry out that, they're saying that I think of two most important players to the way that we're playing at the start of the season, last season, with end of the meet-up, be there some wind and mower, students, a wild part of that, so we've got to do these again, and we need to be patient, and I know there's a lot of multiple fans in there, but one thing I would say, is we look more forward defensively, at the start of the season, and then look at that last, and I think the student is one, the same in the wind garden, and two, having a goalkeeper that can come up with one in clean precautions. Right, did you feel that already, and obviously Liam Gordon as well, experienced, look, can I just tell everybody, it's two-nil Solskberg now, so they're almost definitely, they're four-one in aggregate, so it'll be Solskberg against Rangers or Dynamo Kiev, and the goalkeeping position is so important, if you get it right at the back and do then... You talk about strikers making a difference, honestly, goalkeepers make a huge difference, can get you anything between ten plus points in a season, and they come up with big saves, and they allow you to win one-nil, or get a point when you least expect it, it's so important. And Stephen, as a huge Scotland fan, you were there, you were at the Euros, what did you feel when you heard that Calamogrega had retired from internationals? He's had a fantastic career in Scotland, Germany, and maybe it didn't have the best you know, I think when you look at the Calamogres point of view, please have a minute for say, please have a minute for Scotland, so where were they, not the way it was going out, that tournament for one, he's very, you know, he's told we were looking at it, saying that, I remember saying, this can't turn you, so he made the decision, he preached quickly up first, and he can only, that has prolonged everything, and he's no way to state that decision, but I think he can be proud of what you've done in Scotland this evening, help the back-to-back Euros, yes, we gained the nation's week, and he's called the first goal, I mean it's October, and the 10th, 9th, 9th, 8th, go to Croatia, so he's definitely made his mark in Scotland, the other in that career he can be proud of, so a chance now go for Louis Ferguson, I think, to make that step up once you've spent. Stephen? Yeah, I can't disagree, thanks Stephen, covered everything I believe in, in Kellen McGregor, I do think it's an end of the park, I mean we've always had good midfield players, I just think, I just think in terms of leadership, how influential he is for Celtic and for Scotland, it's big boots to fill, but that's what I think it's part of the fun, obviously starting the new campaign for World Cup, that's the next target, can we get back to World Cup, and then obviously, it moves constantly, can you then go make an impact at it, but big shoes to fill. And Stephen, for you, how are you doing still at Cam Glen at the weekend, how's the studies? Yeah, you have to be able to show on Sunday, don't worry, Andy, we'll have all the time, get you back on at some point. I look forward to that Stephen, thank you. And I have just, in some way, mother wanted to talk about you on the YouTube page, that's a guide for disabled supporters that send them to the park, that they ask me to present for them, so if anybody is disabled, they're wondering where your park at park park, where they go then, as a buddy who is on motherboards YouTube, just so that you can go and work out and obviously start the university and to reach, so I've got what going on. That's brilliant, where are you, Uni? UWS in there. Fantastic, yeah, the campus down there, I know it well. Good luck for the year, Stephen, hope it works out for you. Thank you. Thank you, Andy, appreciate it. Thanks, Stephen. Good speak to you again, Stephen. Cheer, Stephen. Cheer, Stephen. Bonnewell, all of this, you. Some news about Cifwentes coming out, we'll tell you more in just a moment or two, the was speculation that he would be going out in loan. In fact, the Rangers team has just come in, Andy, you've got it first. Yeah, it's bottle and tavernier, shooter, proper, Red Van Yomas, as expected. Stephen was saying, then it's Diamandian Barren, again, as we suggested, and then it's Lawrence McOsland, Efday and Desser's. Right, so that's three, there's Lawrence McOsland, so McOsland may be what, right, off the right. Efday left, Lawrence, the number 10, and obviously Desser's is your loan striker. So, Jefte or Jefte, well, that was a surprise. I guess the Cheerney is on the bench. So, Kelly, Matondo, Cheerney, Dowell, Sterling, Wright, Davies, King, Fraser, McKinnon, Rice, and Danilo on the bench. Stephen, what are you thinking? Would that be the Cheerney's? Maybe not, fully? Yeah, but that, I think, I think, I feel Clement will be looking at the bigger picture in terms of this game could go all the way. It could go extra time. Cheerney looked like the most dangerous player at the weekend, if he's only going to get an hour out on, might it be from 60 minutes onwards, including next time that's been an hour. So, I think he's thinking of the options off the bench, if it's getting tight. As I said, Rayne, just a funny, stronger than Dinokey, Efte, over in Poland, so could fitness tail and introducing Cheerney later in the game. Andy, just time to look at it there again, you're so Taven, you're such a proper and Red Van Yomas. No surprises there, really. Yeah, I think proper is an upgrade on Ben Davis. I like the way, I'm sorry, I like the look of Connor Barren, who he's, he's set to go into the Rangers team in these early weeks of the season. I think he links well with the Amanda. I think his passing has been good. Some of his passing has been really firm into the feet of a striker, which I know strikers really enjoy. So, it's that middle to front, that chemistry between McCoslin, Lawrence, Efte and Dessus, can they get him the service that he's looking for? Can they have some efforts that go themselves, the guys behind Dessus? So, we know how important it is. You need to be on your best form tonight. The manager's been speaking and praising Connor Barren. Yes, and the positive thing, I have three signings playing and they all played a really good game. You have two experiences with Fachlav and Robin, and Connor is still a young lad who took some experience last season in Aberdeen, but not playing all the time, who takes really big steps because he's so hungry and so determined to play for this short and to give his best. And we see him grow every week. So, I'm really happy that we could bring him in and it's also what we want to do, not only to get players from all over the world, but to get really good Scottish players into Rangers. So, like I said, when it's signed, he's going to be for the future of Rangers, a very important player. For the future, Steven, but he's playing every game at the moment, Connor Barren. Yeah, well, I think it's a type of sign in Rangers. It takes a lot of boxes. I think he's maybe being hinted towards it. I think he'd like to have introduced him to stronger Rangers midfield, one where maybe he doesn't need to come in and play absolutely every game, which he is at the minute. And the other way of looking at it for Connor Barren's point of view is what a chance that is to go in and stamp your authority, stamp your mark on being a Rangers starter, right from the world goal. And I think he could be pleased with the start he's made. And did you're going to give us the animal team, which is in goals, Bushgan, the back four, Karayev, Popov, Mycafko, and Dubin Jack in the midfield, us three across the midfield, Boyoski, Brashko, and Chaperenko, of course, back in. Yeah, Malenko who scored last week, Varnat and Kabayev up front. And they're not to be discounted. And nobody is, and because they can run out of Puffaway, but last week, didn't they? But they've been rested some of them at the weekend. Well, you just highlighted Janelenko, who had a really good time at West Ham. And we know how capable he is, even in our international jersey scoring against Scotland at Hamden. So Ali, Janelenko, Chaperenko is also good, Popov at the back. They've got a good experience. So you would expect that at the stage of the competition. I think the teams are pretty evenly matched. Rangers have got the advantage because they've been away from home. They've got, you used to talk about there we go, but they've got the draw. And you know, Stephen Mayberry, it might have to go all the way to extra time and penalties. Do you think so? Yeah. Honestly, if this game is at hand, it's not what the Rangers fans want to hear in terms of the eyebrows thing again. But I think if this game is at eyebrows, I think Rangers could blow them away. I don't think they've quite the home advantage at Hamden. But it would be noisy, though. They'll be looking to get behind the team as much as they can. And as I said, I just thought in the first leg, he had shaded the first half. It rained a really common strong and deservedly got their goal. So if it's anything like that, if it takes extra time, it takes extra time. It's all about getting through, getting that, the prize money banked and that opportunity to get to the group stage of European football. Alistair's been on the socials that go football show and he's saying, "Andy, what about Dale Mandy? He likes him a lot. He's come on a lot. What do you feel about him?" I think he's been excellent. Another good addition. And that's what Rangers need. You need to make signings that work and they don't need much time to settle in. He's shown his quality. I think he's got a good understanding already with Conor Baum. And he just want any significant signing you make. If they can make it a seamless transition into the start in '11, that's what you're looking for. It's so difficult. Every team looking for it and when you don't see it immediately, I mean these days supporters tend to be so impatient because there's so much at stake and we want you to be good and we want you to be good immediately. No time for settling in. No excuses that you're coming out of a different country and might be a wee bit awkward for your family. Just give us your best in a jersey. So all of these things have to be taken into consideration. And as a player, I know you must feel it sometimes. I haven't replied at any professional level, but you can sense it from the stands that the fans are getting a bit impatient. Yeah, well, I think sometimes the fans can be great. And I've said this before, they can put a yard on your stride when they're right behind you. But equally, you need to have a thick skin if they're going against you and giving you a bit of stick, a bit of criticism. And sometimes it can be justified. You're not playing well. You're trying your hardest but you're not playing well. You need to have a thick skin. You need to make sure you're not hiding. And try and get back in the game and make a difference. So when this has gone on loan to Harris, as was expected, so that's the news this afternoon. Well, the Rangers game just an hour from now, the teams that we come out at Hamden. Andy, you've talked about it playing at Hamden. I mean, it's special. And Barry said last night, he's not having this. You're playing in Glasgow. You'll have 50,000 fans behind you. And I know it's easy to criticize Hamden. But I'm sure Barry would want the game to be at Ibruk. So he's putting up the, no having any excuses. And I totally accept that. And the manager will be the same. But you want the game to be at Ibruk. It's not. So you need to deal with it. Hamden's a third best stadium in Glasgow. And you'll get the third best atmosphere at Hamden. So that's what Rangers are on missing. That's why Stephen has said if it was at Ibruk, she might. You might strongly fancy Rangers. I think most people just, you would fancy Rangers tonight, but not strongly because it's Hamden. And it's, it's not your, your home ground. But Rangers in European competition have been, apart from the Champions League season, have been a bit of a phenomenon. We're going to talk about that and the other clubs after the break. This is the Go Radio football show. Listen live weeknights from five on goal. Let's go! Well, we gave you the Rangers team a few moments ago for the game tonight with Dynamo Kiev. Stephen, we're hearing that 20th scored. So it's what 2-1 night of Salzburg. Yeah, I want any over-confident Rangers fans thinking they might get this out. They've been thinking about just booking the flights for Australia. They need to hold off because 20th just kept that life. It wasn't a slam on us, was it? Indeed. We'll watch to hear if it was James's checking for us. Rangers lining up tonight. Butlins, back for Octavania. Sutter and proper, along with Red Van Yomaz. midfield with Diamondi, Barren and Lawrence and McCoslin and Gefti playing off desert's up front. Mise Hilgers was the scorer. So it's not some hammers, but good, good point. On the bench for Rangers, Liam Kelly, Rabbi Matondo, Vaclav Cerny, Dowell, Sterling, Wright, Davies, King, Fraser, McKinnon, Rice and Danilo. So that's the Rangers line up for this evening. We'll come back to the game in just a few moments looking to the other games coming later in the week. Stephen, you're on St. Maren, you're the under-18 coach now. It's going to be tough for them because Bran are, you know, they're a step up there, not that far off the top in the Belgian League. No regionally? Sorry, no, no regionally. They are at the Arctic Circle, aren't they? Yeah, yeah. I think Tromzo is the highest point in Europe, where we're the commandant fans are going in terms of football. Right, yeah. I think that's a good decision to radio last week. But Bran, not until a few weeks ago, until he went, played Bordeaux Glamp, were leveling points, went to 10 men, Bordeaux Glamp beat them 5-1. But I don't think there's lots between the teams. We've seen a few years ago how good Bordeaux Glamp are. So, they showed their quality last week. I think some men have got more to give. I think they can put a bit of showing of themselves over in Norway. But I think they're going to have to dig out one of the best performances in the club's recent history, take it through to the next round. And I don't think the next round, I don't think any of the teams will be as good as Bran. Do you know what I like about them, Stephen, the team, the squad, it's dominated by Norwegian. Mostly from the Belgian region as well. Yeah. And it's really strange when you look at her game, Scottish games, Scottish. And, of course, we see the best players. No one would deny you. I'll look at the likes of Kyogo and even Mater Eile. We could mention a million others. But just a few number of scores that play right across the Scottish Premiership. I think it's quite worrying for maybe five, six, seven years down the road for our national team. When John McGinn's not playing, when Andy Robertson's not playing, Cal McGregor clearly, he's not playing now. And when we've lost a bit of quality, where are the Scottish players getting an experience so that we can still be a really competitive nation and qualifying for major tournaments? I think it's a big worry. It is, for sure, which is not getting enough. Young Scots players getting a chance to play. I mean, short-changing the younger players. We've probably had overall. I sometimes wonder, and I've mentioned this before, Paul, I sometimes wonder if I would get a chance, if I was playing it, Mother will just now, when Mother will go shopping in the League 2 National League. I was lucky at Mother will. I got a chance to play alongside Andy Harrow, who had been at Aberdeen, played under Alex Ferguson. Andy Dawnen was there. Ali Moklin, who went on to play with Leicester, where Gary McAllister. I was given an opportunity, and I ended up playing, I think, about 80, maybe 80 games before I moved on. But it's so difficult now to get a good run again. If you're a young player, what are you? Yeah, so I was just in the talking, Mother will you obviously, young young Mouse and Inline and Miller, both playing for Mother will, against Rangers at Hamden this week. I think you have credit to Stuart Kettlewell. He isn't just going to the market, saying that if there's young players there, that he thinks can improve the team, he puts them in. But I think, in the last few years, that the game's been so well attended domestically. I mean, the fans are really buying into, I think, the addition of the playoff game. I mean, you're always, divides opinion the size of the League. But at this current time, nearly every team's always competing for something, and the fans are buying into it. But with that, it becomes stresses of managers. So how do you give a young player a run of games that's potentially going to cost you goals, and how do you stick with them? It's a great point. So Andy Forson, man, is going to be tough. Same for Kelly. Yeah, when you hear the way the game went, you know, Forson, man, it was the fact that, you know, Bran were so dominant in possession, so impressive, actually. So they're up against it, but I wouldn't rule it out because, you know, having seen them play against Valuer, I think they've got a real good mix. They've got a bit of physicality, a bit of pace up front. They've got goals going, midfield players, a strong defensively. And I like their wingbacks, Adam Rooney, I think, will make a, sorry, will have an impressive, consistent season. He's a guy for the big occasion. He scored in that European game against Valuer, he scored the two winning goals in the cup final, lead cup final, scotch cup final for Forson Johnson. So I wouldn't rule out, some men getting a result, but it will be difficult. And obviously for Kamala, as well, given the way they've started the season, the two are up against it. I think having policy all this, Anya, I think Stephen Robinson spoke about the before the game, eating the squad distressed with him in the games. He's trying to not bond anyone out, trying to not risk any injuries, but you see the difference that Tociolis Anya made when he came on last week. They couldn't handle him, it spells. A lot of defences are really struggling with him at the minute. He gets his goal. He has the one, if he's chosen to start in Thursday night, you think, well, that changed the dynamics of the game. Ian's been on saying, Andy, what about your club area United? We talked about them last week, we're into the last five minutes of the programme, but we'd want to mention here, what performance Friday night against Adrian? Great start for them, and very encouraging, because towards the end of last season, those may be a bit of a scare that they might get involved in that relegation dog fight, but they got themselves clear. I think they've signed well in the summer. It's only two games, but I think at this stage, very encouraging. Stephen, are you united? Yeah, really, really impressive. It actually, it was one of those games you thought it could be anything. You were so dominant, and you looked as if they were going to score every time they went forward. So, already with a forward line, that level, Anton D is George Oakley, a real handful for teams, but you had to think that the lad Russ have signed from English. None of them, he's got a remaining background. I think he was on Lonic Close, it was a point last year, but added to that experience in quality of Jamie Murphy, they've got a lot of time options. That's right, Jamie did well, didn't he? Of course, I've not been on for a while, but he's been one of our times. Last season I was on a lot with Jamie, and he was really enjoying his time down there. What about Falkirk? I'll throw it to you first, Andy. What do you reckon? Well, they've just... Great way. Yeah, they've kept that winning habit, the old, invincible here, but I think that can happen a lot when you go up, and the league is competitive, but I've always been impressed with Falkirk as a club. Obviously, what they did last season, primarily when Stephen was out the team, they looked really good. Well, they're a bit late-oriented, two games, and they've got maximum points. Can you always throw away now? Amazing travel and support, as well. Wasn't it? 2,700. Was that what it was? Because it was 7,900, nearly 8,700. They'll fancy the chances this weekend. Tarts come into town, John McGlinn's old team, he's a fan of hearts, so they'll be absolutely desperate to get out the unsattered day in a potential shock at the weekend. That hurts. Maybe a wee bit after the weekend, because nobody saw that coming. I was up in Dundee for the Kilt Walk, and... No, the biggest surprise was Stephen Aismith changing the team, when you think of how they played against Rangers, a lot of ploddits for how they played, looked as if they carried on the form from last week, changed formation, changed a few things, and three no down at half time. So, yeah, it didn't see that one coming. But Dundee looked my count scoring again, and can they hold on to him? Yeah, I really like looking my count. I really like what Tony Docs built. They're little Carmenans, well, to them just in front of the big lad, Silla, who does that defensive job really well in midfield. Scott Tiffany was in and out the team, he's been giving a nod to start the season back, so we're going... Tony Doc, I mean, as I said, I never ever thought he would go into a matter of three biddell's assistant right until they were chucked at that bit. That's a biddell, but yeah, amazing. Amazing what he's done so far at Dundee's, really, and he'll look safe with Kipton again. Good start, overall, though, isn't it? Andy, it's said... St Johnson getting a big win as well, just final point before we go back to Rangers, but so, it could be quite a season. Yeah, I think St Johnson and Gavin have got a dangerous say, front two, a lively front two, about a pace up there, something different. St Johnson, I've never been a team that I've been renowned for scoring goals, so to win not just one-nil or two-one, to win so convincingly, albeit with the advantage of playing against 10 men, but I think that's encouraging for St Johnson and with Dundee, I think it's so important to keep my count. If they want to, you know, challenge for the top six again. And a quick word about your game down there, only in that the manager's gone, so you went to see your rest in. Well, but we're also surprised that Ian Murray at Wraith Rover's gone after one game. I know they had some League Cup games in that time, but after one League game, he's been binged. And the same way round low, although he had no League Cup games, that was the first game of the season. There was a... I haven't done press in last week, there was a hint that, you know, all the fans weren't right behind them, given the nature of the football that we're playing. In one game, wow. I do wonder who's going to go in there now. Rangers are 48 minutes away from kickoff, so Stephen, what do you think tonight? We gave you the Rangers team. Jeff Day is in, churning on the bench. We've talked about it. What do you think tonight? We haven't even mentioned the captain. And normally, you know, before a European game, you would be, but he's there. He's done it for them before. What are you thinking tonight? James Tavern is? What do I think? I'm in general. I mean, I think he'll be disappointed, from a personal point of view, how easy are, let's say, the cross-commanding Saturday. But yeah, I mean, he's been a big part of some of the best European next year, in the last few years. I think Rangers are win. I think they win narrowly, potentially after extra time. I think they'll get the job done. Big night for James Tavern, you're leaving them out in a chance. No matter what happens in the next few weeks, Andy, to help taking them through to the final playoffs. Yeah, I was just so surprised that the amount of Rangers fans that seem to be pleased that he was on the verge of leaving. I think if you lose anyone who's got his numbers, the goals he scores, the amount of goals that he sets up, Rangers won't get that again. I'm with Stephen. I think it'll be close. I think it'll be tight. I think it'll go all the way. I think it'll go all the way. I think it'll go to penalties. Could be deserts again, also penalties. Wow. Don't eat your go keepers and don't eat your mentality of being sure you've got that moment. Andy, thanks so much. You'll be back on Friday. Pleasure. See you then. Tomorrow night, Peter Grant will be here, along with Barry Ferguson. Stephen, thanks a million. Good luck, St. Mary. Cheers, Paul. Thank you. See you soon. Thank you so much. Wait or wait, 17, 17, 700 if you want to join Peter and Barry tomorrow night at five. This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen live weeknights from five on go. Let's go!
