(upbeat music) - Welcome to TMZ Live Harvey Levin here. - Hello sir. - Boy have things changed over the last 48 hours. - It is a powerful difference. - Unreal, so obviously you know what's going on with Kamala Harris, she's getting the nomination, everybody is uniting behind her in the Democratic Party, and Hollywood is also doing the same. Whereas Hollywood a few weeks ago said we're done, and they had turned off the funding as far as President Biden went if he were to continue. - Firehoses back on. - It is back on in a big way. Hollywood now getting behind, just like we said, the whole Democratic Party, while those big money donors are now ready to start spending for Kamala Harris's campaign. - Led by George Clooney, who now has endorsed Kamala Harris, you know George Clooney, was one of the first celebrities to urge Biden to withdraw, took some fire for that. He is behind Kamala Harris, and he will almost surely be part of that fundraising. - Right, there will be another fundraiser here in Hollywood, and around the country they'll be doing them, and you'll see the celebrities who want to get involved in that, leading that charge. But there are a lot of people, like we said, in the Democratic Party who are getting behind this. The fundraisers in Hollywood is one thing, but what is the plan going forward for the Democratic Party to actually win this race? One of the people who will be absolutely critical in Vice President Harris's effort to win is Maryland Governor Westmore. There was talk about him being a VP candidate, he said he doesn't want it, but he will be involved in campaigning, and he is joining us right now, Governor. Welcome to TMZ Live. - This is my honor, I'm excited for this. (laughing) I'm excited to see you all. - Well, we're excited to have you on. - So, I gotta just ask you a reaction to this. I've been around a long time. I have never seen fortunes change in two days, like I've seen this week. From the time that Joe Biden said he wasn't gonna run, to now, only two days, this party has not only solidified, but it's energized, raised a ton of money, and there is unity where I hadn't seen it for years. I won't just get your reaction to it, 'cause it's just amazing to me. - Well, and it's really exciting, and I think it goes back to two different reasons. The first is Joe Biden. I think there's a deep level of respect and admiration that the party has for Joe Biden. I think what he did was remarkably selfless, selfless, and something that frankly, you have not seen that many times in American history, where a sitting president says, I can run for reelection, but I'm actually choosing not to. And then he turned around and said, and I'm actually endorsing my vice president. And so, one, I think you saw a tremendous amount of love, admiration, respect for Joe Biden, and his career service. The second is, it's the vice president. It's Kamala Harris. It's the public servant that she is. It's the fact that everything that we've been able to get done as governors and as leaders around the country, it's because we've been doing it in partnership with the Biden-Harris administration. She has been a partner the entire way through. And I think that people's confidence in her has also mattered on all this as well. -Does it feel different in the party, governor? Because, like Harvey was saying, over the last two days, there is night and day from what the feeling was about the Democratic Party and what they were gonna do if Joe Biden stayed in, what was gonna happen. It just seemed like absolute chaos. And now, from the outside, it certainly feels different. How does it feel to you being someone at the center of the, you know, one of the people considered a real player in the party, how does it feel now? -It feels great 'cause now we actually get to go prosecute the case. You know, I feel like for the past three weeks, unfortunately, we have spent more time focusing on walking gates and speech patterns than we are that the danger that a potential Donald Trump administration and a Trump Vance administration presents to the future of this country. And so, I feel like now we have the opportunity to actually prosecute the case, prosecute the past, which is Donald Trump's past behavior, and the fact that we've never seen a situation like this, where you have someone who is a twice impeached, multiple time convicted and indicted, first, we're running for presidents of the United States, someone who, frankly, is, could not join the military, but is now trying to be the commander in chief, right? We've never seen this before, that we can prosecute the presence, which is the fact that he's now asked the person like JD Vance, and again, you know, I've said, I've known JD Vance for a while, and that is why I could never support JD Vance to be the vice president of this country. You know, someone with, frankly, a very dark and divisive vision for the future, and someone we were now able to prosecute the future. But the thing that I think I get most excited about is, you know, I'm all in for Vice President Kamala Harris, not because I'm afraid of the alternative, but because I'm hopeful for the future. You know, I'm someone who believes deeply that this country and the better angels always find a way to surround themselves around our country. And if you look at our history, that's always been the case. That we are a country that is a hopeful country. We are a country that understands the arc is always gonna be uneven, but we have the opportunity to bend it. And I think that the vision that she's presenting for the future, one where we can actually do things like common sense gun laws to make our community safe, where we can focus on reproductive health and reproductive rights so that women's bodily autonomy is not something that's controlled by politicians, that we can have an economy that grows for everybody. That's the vice president's vision for this future. And that's the reason that I and so many others are planning on being her army. And we'll be all in to make sure that she wins November. - I am so glad you referenced prosecuting the case because it's something that the vice president said in her first public speech after Biden withdrew. Donald Trump has actually been prosecuted already. He's been prosecuted in a criminal trial. He has been tried civilly. He has lost. And even when prosecuted and when the prosecutor made the case, it didn't move the needle in terms of votes. So I'm asking a guy who is so smart and you're a politician and open the veil for me. And explain to me if she's just gonna prosecute something that's already been prosecuted, doesn't it kind of fall on deaf ears and don't you need to take some kind of different approach? Because it just doesn't seem to matter. - I think you're absolutely right that we now have a nominee who has a unique ability and unique history to be able to prosecute this case. But the truth is you're right. That's not going to be enough. You're gonna win an election by making people hopeful of something. And we now have 105 days to be able to make the case to the American people all over this country in red areas and blue areas, in areas that seem secure and areas where we know are less secure and go make the pitch that the vision that we have for the future is one where we are seeing economic growth, economic opportunity and work wages and wealth for all and not just some. The people who win that argument are the ones who are going to win this election. And so we're not gonna win based on fear. And you're right, we're not gonna win based on winning a prosecutorial argument. You're gonna win based on putting together a vision for the future that people see themselves included in, making them feel like their fingerprints can be on our future. If we do that, then I'm telling you hope will win this day and November will turn out well for the vice president. - So you have some history in the news, Biz, 'cause your dad worked in a newsroom. So you know something about news, for sure. Everybody talks about a debate where you face your opponent. One of the things that has struck me over the years, especially recently, is that candidates go on the same shows where people agree with their point of view. So they're all in these silos and you're not changing anybody's mind, you're preaching to the choir. So if you were advising Kamala Harris and yourself, because you're gonna be out stumping for her, do you go on conservative news stations, news sites, and do you make the case to people who go in not agreeing with you, but you try to change their minds? - You absolutely do. You go everywhere. And you know, I've been known and now notorious that we will literally go everywhere to go talk to voters, including conservative websites and conservative shows. Because I believe deeply that if you give an argument, if you give a chance to make an argument, you actually have a chance to win the deck. There might not be a lot of people who might be registered Democrats in some of the places she's going, but what they are is Americans. And they deserve to hear our voice too. They deserve to hear our argument. And so I know for me, you will see me going everywhere, making this case. I know with the vice president and all the other surrogates, you will see us going everywhere and making this case. And it's for that reason that I believe we're gonna be successful in November. If you cannot go everywhere to make your argument, then you don't deserve the chance to win. And so that's exactly what we're going to do. - All right, by the way, Governor, I'd imagine that this is gonna be an issue that comes up on the campaign as well, as far as marijuana, the legalization. And I know that just last month you pardoned, I believe it was 175,000 marijuana convictions in your state. I think there will be a lot of people who seem to see federally how that policy plays out. - So this has already had a huge impact. I believe deeply in making sure that you can have an economy that everyone can participate in, an economy that everyone can benefit from. It's not just best for them, it's best for our economy as a whole. And we've been incredibly encouraged that for both Democrats and Republicans have been supportive of our agenda and the work we've gotten done. And I think other states are now moving to follow suit as well. It's an important step for us to make. - So listen, it has been an absolute pleasure meeting you. And hopefully we are gonna see you here again. I have a feeling you're gonna have your moment at the convention next month. - I'm looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to making the case as to why if you wanna protect our future, I think it's incredibly important that we have Vice President Kamala Harris as our next president. I look forward to making that case at the convention. And I look forward to making that case all throughout the campaign trail until November. - Thanks for the time, Governor. - Thank you so much. - Appreciate it. - I appreciate y'all. Thanks guys. - All right, thanks. This guy is so impressive. - Yeah. - Wow. I think this, that speech is gonna give. I think you go back 20 years and you think that's that speech. - Yeah. (upbeat music) - Well, the opening ceremony to the Olympics in Paris just got bigger, bigger in probably the biggest way it could because we found out that they have hired Celine Dion to perform during the opening ceremony there in Paris on Friday night. It is gonna be-- - This is such a big deal. You know she has been suffering from stiff person syndrome for several years now. It has been debilitating. If anybody has watched her documentary, I am Celine Dion. - Yeah. - You see the agony she's gone through, the fact that she was unable to sing the way she did, how frustrating it was, but how determined she was. Well, she's gonna do it on Friday night, yep. - And also by the way, speaking of her health, we're told that she's been feeling fine, which is absolutely remarkable, considering the journey she's been going through. And the Olympics is footing the bill to make sure that she feels absolutely comfortable during her time there and her performance, which by the way, we're being told she's getting $2 million for her performance, which consists of only one song. And, you know, they're paying for all the other bells and whistles, for her flights, her boats, her large families gonna be coming in, and obviously there's other expenses. So this is definitely going to be a big ticket for the Olympics and totally makes sense. - Well, and for the Olympics, this is the person you need to be performing there. By the way, because of the French connection, the French connection, and we don't know yet what song she's performing, but I imagine there's gonna be some French things. - I do know something about this. She has kept this really within a very tight circle in terms of what she's gonna sing. There are people in her camp who don't know. She's really keeping this under wraps. And everything we've told you so far is fact. Now I'm gonna tell you the buzz, different from fact. There is a buzz that it might be a song in French, although we're not positive about that, but that's kind of going around. - Well, the excitement has been building in Paris, and she touched down in Paris on Monday. And, you know, everyone, I'm sure, thought, well, at the very least, she's going to the Olympics and that she'll be attending. - She had actually said recently in an interview that she, part of her recovery and that she wanted to get better, she wanted to go back to Paris, she wanted to see the Eiffel Tower. Now she will have a-- - Because the opening ceremony is by the same. - Right, so she very well might be performing right in front of the Eiffel Tower. It is gonna be a moment like, this is to borrow an old NBC phrase that I'm sure they would like to bring back for this. - Do you believe? - It is, no. - Oh, must see. - Oh, it is so must. - Like, like, TV. - The opening ceremony is always something that people always tune in for parts of it here and there. I think they know they have now a worldwide audience 'cause that's Celine's audience. - When you hear how her purpose in life is to sing and how frustrated she was, especially when she's in front of that microphone at the end of this documentary, where she just can't deliver, the fact that she's gonna do it is so spectacular and so fulfilling for her that it just opens your heart. - Hey, everyone. I'm AMG Bizzo down here in Atlanta, Georgia. And I am so excited to see Celine Dion hit the stage. Like you all said, if you have watched the documentary, just to see her play through and we're finally giving it at the opening ceremony at all places. And if I can sing a song, baby, and get too middle floor, I'm there. No kidding. - Oh, I feel like the world will be totally in. - Yeah, okay, we are gonna move on. - Yes, to the move that everyone expected to see in DC, the director of the Secret Service, Kim Cheadle, resigned, stepping down after getting grilled in Congress. - By partisan grilling. - By partisan grilling. - By partisan grilling. And not really having any answers, which was the part that just made everyone go. - Can I tell you, the answer seemed deceptive to me. I mean, it was a-- - Because there's no way she doesn't know 10 days after that she didn't have some of those answers. - She didn't have details, or if she did, she wasn't sharing them. But I gotta tell you, I mean, we're doing a documentary on all the failures here, but it is stunning, stunning that, you know, one of the people we interviewed is a guy, 30 seconds before the shooting. There were, for two minutes before the shooting, people saw the guy in the roof, but 30 seconds before he started firing, this guy saw him with a rifle, is pointing up at the guy, and then pointing at the sharpshooters behind Trump, saying he's over here with a gun, screaming it, 75 people are scattering, and not only did they not take him out, take that the shooter out, they didn't tell Trump, dropped to the ground, or jump him. It was such a crazy failure. It is, yeah, like you said, crazy. And even with Kim Cheadle stepping down, there are a lot of people in Congress, while she was actually, while she was being grilled on Capitol Hill, there was another congressman, Eli Crane, who actually went to Butler, Pennsylvania, and went to the site on a fact-finding mission, wanted to see some of the things that had been reported about what the Secret Service was saying. He actually climbed up on the roof of that building to check out the line of sight here. Keep in mind that Eli Crane is a retired Navy SEAL, so he knows what he's dealing with here, but this was what he saw when he got on top of that building. - All right, guys, I'm up here on the building where the supposed sniper took his shot. It's not that steep at all. I just had a 70-year-old man back here climb up on the roof easily. Behind me, can we see the windows at Secret Service was supposedly in the second floor of this building behind. They should wonder why they were able to quickly dispatch the individual. And then behind me, back over here where those red roofs are, that's where the stage was set up, that's where the president was giving his speech from. - Total line of sight. Look at it, total line of sight. - As direct, total line of sight. 147 yards, clear view. The sharpshooters are behind Trump. If he could see Trump, they could see him. - Yeah, this is a comprehensive failure at every level of the Secret Service. Obviously, the director's paying the ultimate price for it, but there's some failures on the ground as well. It appears to the points that you're making about the warnings, the lack of action, they're not getting the former president on the ground, it's horrific. One of the things that really teed or angered the members of Congress was that the director said that they were gonna work on some sort of a paper to determine what went wrong. It'd be available in about 60 days. And the Congress would be like, what are you talking about? This should be an absolute comprehensive top-down, immediate review, because we gotta make sure it just doesn't happen again. And based on what happened there, I don't know how safe you can really feel going forward if you're one of these high-profile targets. - This is Aaron from The Bronx. And in my lifetime, I don't think I've ever seen a more deserved resignation, because you are literally the head of the Secret Service. It's almost like ruining a joke. When people talk about, oh, I'm gonna see you such and such, who happens to be a political figure? You say to yourself, well, not with them Secret Service, people around. Now, people who think that aren't gonna feel as threatened, because the Secret Service couldn't stop a 20-year-old kid with an AR-15 from getting to the top of a roof and taking a shot at a former president. I think that this kid blew a drone. - He flew a drone two hours out before the rally. He flew a drone, and they didn't see it. I mean, it is mind-boggling what happened. (upbeat music) - Keanu Reeves is not an old guy. I don't care what any-- - How old is he? - He's 59, right? - That's Kamala Harris's age. - Yeah, exactly. So why in the world is he thinking so much about the end, about death? - Well, he was on the BBC with a guy named China Melville. They actually co-authored a book together. It's called "The Book of Elsewhere." And it's about an immortal character who is very much wanting death. So that's why they got on this morbid topic. But it was really shocking to hear Keanu say how much in his own life he thinks about death. - I'm 59, so I'm thinking about death all the time. - Still very young. - I'm like, I'm young old. I mean, I think thinking about death is good. And hopefully it sensitizes to an appreciation of the breath we have and the relationships that we have the potential to have. - For me, I know it's gonna happen, but I don't dwell on it. You can't avoid it. And when you kind of surrender to that, it really kind of opens up peace. - So this movie is actually, or I should say, this novel is actually based off of this comic book series that Keanu wrote. So, and clearly it's about this character who is immortal and wants to die. And maybe he just got super immersed in this character. You know, you hear about artists doing that all the time. Not to mention, he's in all these action movies where he's cheating death all the time. So he's probably thinking about it all the time, right? - Yes. I do think, I think there's a point when you feel, when you start feeling like you're old, you know, when you're in your late forties, that's when you start obsessing about it. When you get to a certain age, you know, and I got to tell you, and I'm not going to get it like that. - You really don't have to, no, no, I mean-- - This is getting awfully personal. - I'll get personal. That I had a lot of friends, a lot of friends, including my partner who died in the 80s of AIDS when they were in their 20s and 30s. So, you know, when I think about it-- - To this point, you're-- - I cheated it. - Right. - And I can't, I still don't know why, but half of my friends died, and they were in their 20s and 30s. And when that happens, I think you just feel like, oh my God, everything else is just gravy. And it's a different feeling, it's just, it's odd. - I like Devin, I mean, because we're at an age of we're so young, we don't really even think about it yet, but-- - Wait, wait, wait, did you just say me, our young? - Yeah, you're like 30 years older than me. - Yeah, wait a second, that was offensive. That was a shot too far, sir. - Andrew, what? - Hi, Nick here from Los Angeles. I think the piano might be onto something. I think in this world, we're surrounded by so much death, and it's so uncomfortable to speak about death, but I think when you start speaking on it, it makes the conversation a little easier. I do think he's a little too young. I'm in my 30s, and it is something that I think about sometimes, and not because it's something I'm looking forward to, but I think, especially after the time of the pandemic, and someone like Keanu Reeves who's been in this industry for 40 plus years, and you don't maybe lost a lot of people along the way, these are things that you do start to think about, but I think he might be onto something. - I just wanna make it to dinner. - I was thinking about Devin. 30 years! - 30 years! - Would you stop it? - Gosh! - Oh my God. Just hurt, aw. - By the way, Vice President Kamala Harris, when she made her trip to headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware to campaign headquarters yesterday, there was something very interesting that happened when her husband Doug Amoff introduced her. She walked in, listened to what was playing when she walked in, because this is very interesting. - Let's hear it, Kamala Harris! (audience cheering) ♪ We love how we lookin' ♪ ♪ We love how we lookin' ♪ ♪ We love how we lookin' ♪ - I mean, when you can walk into a Beyonce hit, you immediately, there's a huge number of voters you've already appealed to before you've said a word. - And, by the way, she's very protective Beyonce of her music, yeah. But gave Kamala the green light to use that song, so I think you're gonna be hearing freedom at a lot of campaign stops for the Vice Presidents. - Not YMCA. - No, definitely not YMCA. (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (upbeat music) - It is another one of those police-involved shootings that has just caused uproar, and everyone kind of has their hands up and like, how does this happen? Sonya Massey, if you've heard about this, the story was out that she had been killed and that it was an officer-involved shooting. But just yesterday, the body cam was released, and it is-- - It's unbelievable. - Unbelievable. Now, keep in mind, Sonya Massey had called, this happened in Springfield, Illinois. She had called the police out of concern that there was a prowler, someone outside of her home. Two deputies went there to check this out and ended up going into her home, having a conversation with her. They needed some ID from her, just for their report on checking out the prowler, and then things took a bizarre turn that ended with one of the deputies firing on Sonya and killing her. Watch what happened here. - You have an ID that makes things so much easier. I just (laughs) just drive your glasses a little, and now get out of your hair. - I want to show you how my paper works. - I want your paper work. - What paper work? - Oh, that's the paper work. - We'll just get your ID work. - Well, let's get your ID work first, and then one task at a time. - Okay. - Let me do this. - We don't need a fire while we're here. - Right. - Okay. - Let me see. - Okay. - What are you doing right? - Huh? - What are you doing right? - Oh, wait, what? - You're seeing the water. - No, wait, what are you doing right? - Yeah. - Oh, I'm repeating when the name is Jesus. - I'm consuming it. - It's better (beep) - I swear to God. (beep) - She drank your (beep) - Oh, that's a hot (beep) - Hot (beep) (beep) - Hot (beep) - Hot (beep) - Hot (beep) - Hot (beep) - Hot (beep) - Just fire (beep) - Just fire (beep) - Just fire (beep) - Just (beep) - Hot (beep) - So she was killed, and the officer who shot her is now charged with murder. - Yep, Deputy Grayson is in custody, charged with murder, he's pled not guilty, but what you see there in the video is so alarming. And joining us right now is Sonia's father, James Wilburn, and the family's attorney. They have hired Ben Crump, Ben, welcome back. And Mr. Wilburn, we are so sorry for your loss, and sorry that we, for the audience sake, had to play that video. I know it's something you probably don't want to relive, but thank you for joining us. - Thank you. - I know this is so hard to do, but for us, it's hard to process what she did that would cause the officer to do something like that. How do you process this? I mean, this just must be like unearthly for you to deal with. - Well, you just thought it lost for work. So you hear about the Breonna Taylor's, the clown McDonald's, the George Floyd's, but you never think that's gonna happen to your child. It's just unenacted. - I mean, I guess the obvious thing is that they were concerned about this pot of water, but why, Ben, if you can help us, it seems at least when we're looking at the video, there's a great distance between them that there's no immediate threat whatsoever to the deputies. And I got a minute, the second deputy seemed shocked. - That the first one shot. - The first one had fired. Have you heard anything, Ben, as far as what the, I don't know, the police are probably saying very little at this point because Grayson is now in custody in charge. But what is it that you're in there? - We hear everything we need to hear on the video, gentlemen. I mean, he tries to come up with some accidental justification talking about, well, I wasn't gonna take a pot or hot water to the face. But when you look at the video, you see him actually walk around the counter, he goes closer, we believe from observation to give a better shot. I mean, if he was in fear that she was gonna throw some water on him from a pot that he sent her to, then he could have just backed away. I mean, he is 65 inches, approximately, we're 260 pounds, and she is five foot worn wearing about 110 pounds. I mean, this was an innocent black woman who called the police. She needed a help in the end. She did not need a bullet to her face. - Then there's something that happened before that I don't understand 'cause we've covered thousands of 911 calls. Why were they asking for her ID? I mean, she's the one that called 911. Why were they asking for her identification? - You know what's so troubling Harvey? The fact when they said they looked around for probably they didn't see anybody. They said, "Okay," she said, "Thank you, love ya." That should have been it. - Yeah. - But this cop got away to go into the house and then it's almost like he created in his mind a life and death situation and killed this black woman. And if you listen to the video closely, he says at one point, obviously she staged a whole thing. After he shot her in her face and the person is down there with towels and blood is screwing from her face, he is showing no humanity, whatsoever. In fact, when his partner says, "I'm gonna go get my CPR kit," he says, "No, no need to do that." It's a hair shot, she's gone. And then at one point, suggest that her (beep) he doesn't finish his sentence, but everybody can conclude where he's spanking. I mean, no remorse, no humanity, no respect for this woman who called them for help. I can see, like you all said, if this was some criminal suspect, she was the one calling for help. - Right, yeah. - Mr. Wilburn, I understand that when you initially found out about Sonya's death, you didn't, to say, it's an understatement to say you didn't get the full story. But you initially didn't know that she had died from a deputy's gun. Is that correct? - That's correct. The only reason why I found out that it was a deputy involved shooting was my young brother Calvin. He looked over the internet and asked me what my daughter's address was and I told him, and he said, "What is this about a deputy involved shooting?" And I'm like, "A deputy involved shooting what?" And that's, when we found out that that's what occurred. - Well, we are so sorry. - And in 2022, I had quadruple hot rock ass. And my hot doctor said that I never would have made it to the hospital and I had another heart attack. And I'm not so sure that I could have stood this if it was with that old heart. They took veins out of my legs and put it about heart. And I just wondered why God left me here. I can't explain this. It's just flabbergasties, crazy. I've never seen anything like this. And if we cast the George Floyd policing act, if this is a catalyst to pass our John Lewis voting rights bill, this is a catalyst to get Kamala Harris as our next president. It won't bring my baby back, but it can keep anybody else from joining this club. - Well, we've already missed Wilburn and I'm hoping the best for your family going forward and that you can get justice. This is like you said, it's one of those videos that I think everyone watches that and we know even President Biden has reacted to it already. You can't not have an opinion about now. You see what happened. - Thank you so much for the time. We know it's difficult. We appreciate it. - Thank you for having us. - Oh, wow. - You see these videos. It's just, it's mind-boggling. (upbeat music) - Well, Conan O'Brien got to the bottom of something that was perplexing friends fans. Recently, Jennifer Aniston had said that she basically groused about the studio audience while they were, whenever they were filming the show. Lisa Koudreau happened to call on Conan's podcast, Conan O'Brien needs a friend. And this is what she had to say about the studio audience. It, I get this, I get this. And I don't, she's not saying anything about the people in the audience specifically. It's more about how the audience reacted to what they were doing. - Jen Aniston said once that she said that when you guys were doing friends that you don't, it just occurred to me right now. Lisa doesn't like it when the audience is laughing. It's something she said. Like, you're, you would say something and it would get a big laugh and it would irritate you. - 'Cause they were laughing for too long. (all laughing) It wasn't that funny. If it were a stage play, yeah, laugh as long as you want. And I'll figure out things to keep my character busy waiting to continue with it. That's fine, you know? But then it's being filmed. And now I'm just sort of like standing there. And then you do like things that you hate, you know, just like, nah, that's right. I said that, you know. (all laughing) It's terrible. - I never thought I'd say that. - That's actually a really interesting thing. I've never sat in one of the studio audiences or sitcom taping, so, but I get that. That would completely throw them off, you're not. And also you have a show timed out. And if people are laughing too long and too hard because they think they're supposed to laugh. - Well, that's why she said that. - It's a bigger laugh than it should be. - A half hour show, it took them hours to shoot it. - Right. - 'Cause of pauses like that. - My understanding though on these shows is I thought they always had someone like behind the camera that would kind of like wrap the audience. Like they'd start their laugh, like they'd get them to work up and then they'd bring them back down. Like I thought there was someone off camera that kind of cues the laugh and then tells them to stop. - They sometimes cue them to laugh, but I don't know how they really get them to stop. - They get them to stop. - 'Cause that would also sound awkward all of a sudden everyone just stopped. - But also as a fan of the show. I mean, even Lisa saying this now kind of shocks me because don't you feel like the studio would have more of a boring, dry sense if you're in there without the audience? I feel like the audience gives it that liveliness as an actor, maybe not, I'm not an actor and I don't know that, but. - I don't think she's saying that you didn't want an audience at all. What she hated was the fact that they just. - They tried too hard. - Yeah, exactly. They tried too hard, like it just give it a little laugh and then let's keep it moving. - Then stop. - Right. - I did not know this until a minute or two ago that Conan O'Brien and Lisa Kudrow dated. - I did not, I was today or so. - Right. - I did not know that. - Right at the time, friends started. They dated, little reunion. That's, it's going way back. - I can see that. I can actually say that now that I think about it. I just didn't know it, but I get it, I get it. - Hey guys, what's going on? My name's Emma from Los Angeles, California and I left when I heard about this because I'm just picturing Phoebe giving the audience like a stink guy and I never considered how it could affect the actors when the audience is laughing for too long. So, I don't know, maybe the studio like should have a left responsibly sign and something like that. - Right, and a left responsibly. - Right. - That's funny. I never thought of that. That's actually really interesting, really interesting. (upbeat music) - Well as the Jets fan is very happy to see Aaron Rodgers show up for camp. Not as thrilled with the little inside joke he decided to play on fans. Maybe it's for some of his teammates too. See him showing up here, right? Doesn't seem like a big deal, right? - Yeah, I don't understand this. - Well, the, it's the T-shirts. - When he knows-- - Well, no, no, no, he walked in and put his arms on. - What's your significance, I'm glad. - Well, he missed training, was it last month, Edward, when they had a mini camp and he didn't show up? - Mandatory mini camp, correct. He missed a few days of it and Robert Sallow, the head coach, called him in excused absences. Well, we later found out why he was in excused and it was because he took a vacation to Egypt and so, Harvey, you could see on his shirt, it's just a cat, which appears to be in Egypt. - So, he's wearing a t-shirt he brought back from Egypt. - So, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. - Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. - This is all I got. - Help me out here. He had three plays last season and then he comes back and says I'm gonna go on vacation. - Listen, did that happen? - Look, his theory behind the whole vacation was he worked really, really hard to recover from the Achilles injury and he had this on the schedule with something he could look forward to and it just so happened that the Jets made that weekend that he said they were OTAs initially, which are organized team activities, which are usually voluntary. They made that one weekend mandatory out of nowhere and that's what screwed him over on all this. So, he said, basically, I'm gonna take it with her whether you like it or not. - Hi, guys, it's Connie, you're calling from Canada. Okay, like he's been in there for so long, he probably deserves the extra holidays. Like, I wouldn't have taken the extra days for Egypt. You know, it's all about the balance in life. You need to have some holiday and fun and-- - Well, wait a minute, and balance in life makes sense. But when you're off six months out of the year or more, do the balance part on the off season. What you're also getting is, he's the star of the team. - That's true too. - And so, he knows-- - He can do what he wants, he's a big dog. - Right. - What else you guys wanna talk about? - Hi, it's Kelly from Long Island, New York. So, Hollywood is back in and endorsed in Harris. George Clooney threw in his endorsement. And I gotta say, I mean, it's the least he could do, but we finally found something that lasts shorter than a Hollywood marriage and that's a Hollywood presidential endorsement. - Well, they were with Biden for a while. - They were with Biden for a boy when they got off. - But they got off. - They got off. - They got off. - One more. - Hey, I'm John from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And on the topic of Celine Dion performing at the Olympic Games in Paris this year, I am so happy to hear that she's gonna be performing at that opening ceremony. - It should be a massive comeback for her, hopefully, and be super nostalgic for a lot of viewers as well that grew up with her. - Yeah, no, it's gonna be amazing. Unfortunately, our office is gonna stop in its tracks when this happens on Friday. - Oh well. - As it should, as it should. (upbeat music) - Well, it might be almost as anticipated as the actual Deadpool and Wolverine movie. And that is anything about Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's fourth child. But at the premiere for Deadpool and Wolverine in New York last night, he did reveal the name. - I wanna thank my kids, James, and his, Betty, Ellen, who are here. I hope that, you know, if I'm lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing that gets in the context of this movie that happens in your wonders life. I've been in my entire family's here. - We don't know whether it's a Boy or Girl, but yeah. They also still didn't say Boy or Girl. We just know Olin is the name. Know what it reminds me of? Remember those photos you take as a kid, you go in for like family photos, Olin Mills? - Oh, yeah. - Oh, you go in like seers or something. - Right, and you sit there. - Sit down for those awkward photos of your sibling. - I got one in my drawer at home. - Ooh, gnarly, man. - Thanks a lot. - Thanks a lot, Ryan. - I'm real like. - We'll see you tomorrow. (upbeat music)
