But yeah, also not a shocker. We're going to talk some economy. Cam Cam's new tactic, her campaign, I should say. She's not clever enough to come up with any kind of a tactic or strategy, but her campaign's new strategy, something they're going to do. We're going to talk a little bit more about the Ilhan and Trump interview and the demographics that played into all of that we've got. I mean, even Jim Acosta over at CNN, one of the world's most punchable faces is calling out the Harris campaign for not doing any interviews, any press conferences, and the like will do that. So Ilhan Omar won her primary last night. Again, it was for House Representative Minnesota's Fifth District, which is not surprising. It's not surprising that she -- yeah, sorry. I'm getting a text. I see Mudcat talking about J. J. McCarthy. It just sucks. I can't handle it today. I can't do it. The world's on the brink of war and we've lost our quarterback in the future. The worst. But staying in Minnesota, except for someone we don't like, and Ilhan Omar, it's not surprising that she won, but because, look, this has never been a great candidate. She's never been a candidate that spoke to the heart of Minnesotans. Some of the people in Little Somalia, they're sure. But to the heart of Minnesotans, and certainly not to the heart of this country, this is someone who's talked about wanting to, quote, "burn the country down." And while she didn't mean it literally, she did certainly -- I think she'd be okay with it -- she did certainly mean tear it down to the studs and start over, dismantle the country. But she's come up with this system, like so many other folks have in politics, and it's not just folks on the left to be clear, where they're damn sure, like almost damn certain that they're going to win every time. And what was peculiar, albeit not surprising in this day and age with American elections, is you have this going on. Lots of people want her out, right? Lots of people want her out, and the polls closed at 8 p.m. local there. At 8.15, 0% of the ballots had been counted or tabulated. At 8.30, 0% had been counted. At 8.45, 0% had been counted. At 9, you're thinking, "Here it comes." Nope, just kidding. 0% had been counted. 9.22, finally. You get some results trickling and 5% counted, and then -- excuse me -- 9.22 -- yeah, 9.22. And then just 15 minutes later, at 9.37, 99.5% had been counted. The results were in Ilhan Omar, the victor. Nothing to talk about here. Forget the weird tabulation and weird results. It's just -- that's how it went. You can see there on the screen, she won 56.2% to 42.9. But very odd. All elections in this country now. Very odd to see just what -- not what's on the screen there, but how and when the votes came in, where there's nothing counted, nothing counted. Boom, they're all in, they're all done. Maybe they've got some great new system. I'm not counting on it. Let's not assume that. That would be a very bad assumption. Minnesota's got the -- we've set the bar so high. So high. But it's awful. She's not a good person. She's not someone who loves this country. I'm sure that people in her family in close circle like her. But I tell you what, I don't think the folks of Minneapolis do. I don't think the folks of this great country certainly -- they do not. I know they do not. So that happened. Get ready for more stuff like that moving forward. Well, we always talk about how the left projects, or they will call out what they're going to do before it happens. Right. So, you know, if you remember for 2020, it was -- there was some percentage in some percentage. Oh, then everything shut down, and then all of a sudden it came back, and now everything was up. Right. Here, they're just saying, no, let's just not count it right away. Let's not -- let's say we haven't counted yet, but then when we come in, 100%. Yeah, boom. Okay, cool. So if that's just the projection of what could happen in the next election here in November, then at least we saw it coming. Right. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Not great. Not great. But this was interesting. Let's talk about something that is maybe a little more encouraging, shall we? Because we had this conversation. We talked about it yesterday. Trump and Elon get together, break the Internet, literally how to cyber attack where the Internet, or at least X, was broken for a little bit. And then it goes off, and has over a billion views and pressure, you know, tons upon tons of people listened in to the conversation. We shared some clips today, or yesterday. We're not going to do that today. But I thought this was interesting. Linda Yakareno, who's -- as we talked about last week, gone on the offensive a little bit here as of late, and while I'm not exactly certain what to make of her yet, I will say that her response to the European Union was spot on and solid. Her response to several other attacks from advertisers and other groups who want to censor X has been spot on. She's -- it would seem that she's turned the corner and kind of opened her eyes to some things that maybe she never saw when she was on the other side of the veil. But she's done some good things, and she put out this data here showing the demographics for who tuned in to that conversation. And you've got it broken into the standard category. It's 24, under 25 to 34, 35 to 44, 45 to 54, and then 54 and above. And what you'll notice -- and I'll break it down for those listening to the podcast -- is the largest percentage of listeners were in that critical 25 to 34 age bracket. Yeah. 70% of them. Only 7% under 24. Again, 70%, 25 to 34, and the 35 to 44 age bracket, that was 17% of the listeners. 4%, 55 to 54, and then only 1% above 54, which surprises me and doesn't surprise me because most people are more engaged. It was Tom. It was Tom. That was just Tom. Most people are more engaged with politics. Well, percentage. It wasn't. Most people are more engaged with politics than their latter years, right? But technology can get in the way. I'm not trying to pick on you guys. Technology can hurt your brain sometimes. But this is encouraging because we need the younger generation listening into conversations like this, getting different perspectives than what their professor is telling them at school. Whoever they listen to or whatever they watch is telling them elsewhere because there's lots of awful information out there. And I'm not saying that Trump and Elon said everything perfect. Look, there's things that I don't agree with them on. But you talk about how the economy should be working. You talk about the border and illegal immigration issues and some of the conversations they talked about. You talk just about the fact that this thing had trouble getting out the gate and getting to its intended audience because of a cyber attack because people did not want this conversation to be heard. They didn't want it happening. So I think that that's up. Oh, we got Tommy boy. Part of him. But I think that that's what's so compelling about it and so good is that you have this younger generation who typically just gets fed a load of BS everywhere they turn their head. And you had a lot of them. The majority, that's how I was talking about the demographics. 70% of the listeners were in the 25 to 34 category. And I think that that's 24 to 35 category. And I think that's 25 to 34. I think that's really good. Well, to me, you look at that younger generation and it seems on the outside when you're talking to them, they just have their head in the sand. This goes to show that they're-- Well, and they still probably do. Yeah, at least they were listening. But at least they're listening. And to me, I would love to see if Elon were to say, "Kamal, let's have you on in two weeks." See if she does it. She probably wouldn't do it. Never do it. But I'm just saying, "Hey, if you want to hit that demographic, there's the platform." Yeah. It goes to show that's the platform to hit them on. Yeah. Absolutely. Tom, what'd you make of that? You know, the way that, you know, Zoomers and Gen Z consume their information now via TikTok and social media, to me, it makes a total sense that they would get the ratings that they got. And also, I believe with that generation, that kind of Zoomers remind me a little bit of Gen X where they're kind of suspicious of everybody and they think that the corporate media and the government are lying to them. So for them, I think that it's a way for them to consume information where they don't feel like it's being filtered one way or another. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I tell you what, historically speaking, the other side has captured that demographic way, way better. And I'm not saying that they won't this time around too. But this is definitely encouraging going in in the right direction. Something. My question would be now, does that demographic vote for Trump? I don't know. But at least they were listening. You know, at least there's hope there that they're willing to listen to the conversation. Now, are they actually going to vote that way? I don't know. I think there's a lot in that generation that are going to vote for RFK Jr. Yeah. I would think that a lot of the votes that he's going to get are going to come from. I might be wrong, but they're going to come from some of the younger groups. Yeah. Yeah. I think so. But it just is far of cage. You're going to take away from Trump or take away from Biden. That's the big question that's yet to be determined. Yeah. Yeah. I think and I probably probably a little bit of both. Well, from Kamala. Yeah. Probably a little probably a little bit of both. No, Biden's going to be the right in because all the all the all the all the pre. I'm still confused on who the president is. Yeah. And justifiably so. Did you guys see the clip I sent you the other one where he's just he walks like into the trees? Like he gets off Marine one and he just goes up. He's like walking into the and then there you saw the the little playground set that's in the back of the Oval Office shot. I saw that. All right. It made sense now. Yeah. Still. Why is it there? We should go in there to bring the have the kids play. I'll go out and watch them. All right. So maybe probably not, but it's it's it seems good. We'll take the win that young people are listening into a conversation that I think they should listen into. And I think that they should listen into if if Cam Cam ever had the nuts to do it. She won't. I think it would be important for them to listen into that too because they'll hear just how absurd and ridiculous she is. But something that's not going in the right direction obviously is the economy among a huge list of other things that we could we talked about it every day. I was going to say we could talk about it all day. And that's kind of what we do. But inflation continues to be up has been just disastrous for the American people right since this administration took office. Who's really running the administration? Is anyone's guess? We've all got our theories. But here's a report I believe from from Fox News talking about it. Oh. Miss M.C. Or maybe it is. Okay. M.S.M. I stand corrected. Right now for the July consumer price index headline number coming in as expected up two tenths of a percent up two tenths were percent on headline number follows yet un revised down one tenth. So we went from basically the weakest the biggest negative month over month change. A positive in CPI since COVID four twenty four twenty twenty and now we're in the level that we haven't seen really since April. We're up at three tenths. If you look at ex food energy exactly as expected as well up two tenths the issue is of course it's following one tenth which just like the last number was comping towards the first several months of COVID. So not great here's here's the impact. This is this is an M.B.C. News interview where you've got a girl slumped back in her chair interviewing people people in attendance there people from Philadelphia talking about how the inflation and more specifically just I guess or more generically speaking the economy is affecting them let's let's talk play this and we'll talk about it. How hard does inflation hit you? It hit me hard it's hitting me hard. What do you blame for it? I blame the federal government at this point if a working-class mom who works as a paralegal cannot buy a two dollar bell pepper because it's now five. Imagine a mother living on food stamps imagine a mother who's making minimum wage trying to feed children. They're killing us without killing us. If you understand that they're killing us without telling us they're killing us they're hurting people in ways that they can't help themselves. It's either feed my child or how about feed my children and I don't but I have to go work. Okay so everyone feeling it and I tell you what the economy is one thing I think there's a lot of people who probably don't care as much about immigration as they should they don't see the bigger picture they don't see what it's going to do they see it as it's an issue but maybe they take this emotional kind hearted approach and think that that's why the left's doing it they don't see the sinister reasons behind all that but I think everyone is outraged over the economy because everyone is feeling it. You've got people who are hard working blue collar families everyone's feeling it even folks who are not blue collar but people who just bust their ass do one two three jobs to take care of their family and they're being suffocated like this woman's talking about under this administration you've got everyone we've talked about this before but you've got gas that's up 50% from since they took office electricity up over 31% fuel oil almost 49 almost 50% 49.1 airfare up 22% hotels 50% plus groceries up over 20% 21.6 eating out is up 23% baby food is up K through 12 food rent is up transportation costs up car insurance up and meanwhile people's weekly earnings are down it's this is a math problem that only ends in disaster at the current rate and the current the current way that it's trending and has been trending for quite some time and I think that that's going to that's going to help I mean there's there's there's a lot of reporting out there that say you know people would prefer Kamala but they trust Trump on immigration and the economy more or they trust him on those things and something else more this is going to be a huge part obviously they're going to talk about abortion and women's rights and all their rallying cry talking points that are are baloney but I don't know how they can actually tackle the conversation about the economy I know how they're going to I know how they're doing it right now they're going to say we're going to fix it if like this, like they're saying for everything. Everyone needs to again remember that they are in office now, they could fix all of this stuff now if they wanted to. The biggest, the biggest thing you need in order to enact change in any realm in any, any way shape or form is the desire to, to, to have things change and the desire to fix things. They don't want to because they need it to. So you, you, I just don't see how this is going to go well for them in the debates in political talking points, campaign events, all of this stuff, because the economy is crushing everyone. Everyone can kind of agree on that. And it wasn't that way under Trump. And it is this way under the Biden Harris administration. I, I, I'm hoping that this is something that one can be fixed because it absolutely can. This is something that can be fixed really damn quickly. But, but two, I'm hoping that people give conservatives the chance to, to take another swing at it and get this down so we can at least, we might still hate each other. We might still be on the brink of utter societal collapse across the globe because of so many bad policy decisions. But at least we'll be able to feed our families while we wait for it. Right. But unfortunately, that group of black female voters from Philadelphia, they're, they're not going to be voting for Donald Trump. That's just not going to happen. They're going to blame it. They're going to figure out a way to blame anybody else. Like she said, she, she holds the federal government responsible. She didn't say Biden. She didn't say Harris. She said the federal government. So when it comes time, when it's going to come time to vote, she's going to be pulling the, pulling the pin for, for, for Harris, because it's going to be historical. It's going to be the first woman of color president. And we've been waiting the entire history of the United States for this moment. This is her moment. It's the same thing that we had with the Kenyan fellow. It was like, all right, this is a historical moment. The first African American president that we're going to vote for. But everybody was like, he's a communist. He's a communist. And it's the same thing with Harris. She's a communist. She's a communist. It's like, Oh, no, no, no. No, she's a female. And that's super seeds communism. Sadly, you're right. I love the Kenyan fella. That's great. No, I think you're right. Well, look, that I think you're right. And the silver lining is, is Trump's percentages are significantly up in the black community and other other minority communities, including the Hispanic community. But if you were to just take a larger sample size and make a prediction based on how things historically have gone and how the left plays the game and how they're going to manipulate the game, you're right, people. They're going to it. This is going to be we got to be a part of history. We got to check this box. But I do think that there's more than there was last time. And even more than there was in 2016, who will say, I'm not falling for this again. If if COVID happened again, there would still be a lot of people who went and put masks on and did lockdowns and stood six feet apart from each other and all the stupid crap that doesn't do anything. But there would be less. And I think it's the same with this. I think that it's still we still are on the losing side of this. But there's I think there is progress being made because they've gone so hard to the hoop that you now you've got to to surmount that thing, which they will. But to surmount all the bad stuff they're facing and vote for someone just because they think it's going to be historic and it's cool. And she's a woman and she's black and she's maybe she's all these things. You've got to get over a lot more. Well, I saw a few interviews. I think it might have been over the weekend where people said, Hey, I voted for Obama because he was black and I had voters remorse. I'm not falling for it again this time. Yeah, so awesome. At least they're seeing the errors of their ways. Because yes, you know, it was was historic. But we talked about it yesterday after the show every moment is historic right now that they keep in, you know, they keep conflating it. Everything is historic. So okay, cool. Yes, it's historic. But is it what the country needs? No, yeah. But that woman was absolutely correct in the one statement that she made that the government is trying to kill you without killing you for years now. And finally, other people are joining me. But what she's talking about, you know, she's going the route with just purely the economic road. And she's right. What they're trying to do is cripple the average American with what's happening with the economy. This is all by design. This to me is is the Democrats in big government's way of punishing all of us for four years of Donald Trump for us to learn our lesson that if we vote the wrong way again or put the wrong person in office, we're going to be punished again with lockdowns to unleash a virus, they'll do whatever. And because that can't be done. He wasn't in the club, and he will never be in the club. And if you're if you want him as your president, we are going to turn the screws to you. Yeah, I think you're right. I think it goes beyond that too. But I think you're I think you're absolutely right there. Well, we'll see. Okay Tom what are you going to go with. Well what I normally do this is my routine during football season. I make my own French onion dip. My own recipe for it. It's a very good. You know with the with the onion soup mix and so forth. And I usually serve that I have to make the dip and I personally my favorite or unsalted potato chips that I eat with it. Okay I alternate for mains. I alternate between ribs one week. And then sloppy Jones the next week. Do you buy the ribs or do you grill the ribs. I bake the ribs. Okay you grill. Yeah. Actually I put them in the oven. I don't have a grill. Yeah. Okay. So you bake them. Okay. Yeah. I put them in about eight thirty nine o'clock in the morning and so about two o'clock. They're ready to go. See I I like that. I feel like I have to shower after eating ribs. I like ribs. I eat ribs. If you give me a plate of ribs I'm going to town and I'm going to ruin my shirt also. And I'm stuffed because I ate the whole damn thing like an idiot. Buffalo chicken. What did you have on it? Not where it was from but would you know it was it was pretty well. I mean it was just turkey and ham but then it had a gazillion fixings and every pepper. I can spell the banana peppers. I mean it was delicious. There's no two ways about it. Buffalo chicken dip or seven layer dip says ginger both great so wings ribs and beer and then a shrimp boil on nice weather days says mud cat. I like that. I like where your head's at. Not going to see anything from it if you aren't consistent obviously and I'm saying that to myself too. I have to literally just keep stuff out. I hate a mess but when it comes to vitamins and stuff like sweet. I mean it's stuff like that. If I don't keep it out I'll just I won't do it. So I have to I have to create clutter in order to do something smart for myself. Anything that goes well with beer says text. I mean you have to have a beer worked in there although for Vikings games I'll be honest. Sometimes I go straight to the hard stuff. It's so hard breaking. It's so hard playing so hard on me. I don't sit. I stand like a coach only and then sometimes grab my gin or whatever it's going down. Okay. What else we've got homemade smoke chicken wings. Smoke chicken wings are so good. Ribs and pampered chef stone roaster are hard to beat. Yeah. If you're getting some on you you know it's good. I think response to the ribs. Yeah. I mean I'm going to be pretty basic. There's always chips and stuff. There's always some sort of adult beverage but I mean a spicy wing is just it goes with it. It just goes but we don't do it all the time. So actually so I'll say this. For the Vikes games on Sundays it's almost always wings. For college football it's coffee and Kirk Herb Street and the boys watching college game day from nine until noon do not bother me and then but at about 11 30 I get the grill fired up and then usually we have I mean I would say in a 12 game season nine out of and there's obviously bi-weeks in there so let's say 10 plus of the regular season weeks we're doing brats and some other stuff on the grill. What are you doing during deployment during football season? I would I would make it work. I can't I you know I would we'd get up at I don't remember two in the morning or so three something like that to watch Super Bowls when it was when it was a night game you know it was a little bit better for like a one o'clock Eastern game on Sundays college you know same thing if there was a noon game the later it gets into the day the more the more committed you have to be but but committed I was committed I was. Sure but but there's these you know young attractive females saying they're going to tell people you're going to do this not just females but but people who have an audience and now they've started to make them sign an NDA because it's gotten out there that they're doing this and to be clear everyone uses influencers in some way or another that's just the world I don't necessarily like it but that's the world we live in now then the other one that we've been talking a lot about is making promises that Trump and or just Republicans traditionally do and saying that they're their own ideas and saying if we're allowed back in office we'll do that we've already talked about it once today you're in office you could do it now but they do that and they're taking talking points and saying we're going to fix the border and we're going to fix the economy that we broke on purpose and we're going to fix all these things that we broke on purpose if you let us back in no they're not I promise you with all that I am that's not what they're going to do but this latest one is pretty interesting the camera footage here by the by the cam op at Fox News doesn't do a great job here in tracking with conversation so disregard him for a second disco you need to get on your people that is the cam op people and yeah I know but what they're doing is they're changing headlines on articles and then sponsoring them so they get out in front of more people take a look and then we'll talk there's the cover the impact of Biden's economic agenda I'll turn on that side Harris will carry logo the logo of the publication and making it seem like that's the headline they did it again in Reuters this how originally was impacted by the economic what are we doing right there go to the last one on the far right wall selected as Kamala Harris VP pick for 2024 election after Harris picks Tim walls two hundred and fifty Minnesota families win there was never in the headline before but they made it that way so then in the next one you can see what the original article said the impact of Biden's economic agenda maybe felt long after his presidency okay so then they changed it to say at the bottom inflation is down under the hair the Biden Harris administration the US is winning an inflation fight fight right so so Google says that the trump camp is not running these kinds of sponsored advertising but other campaigns have done it in the past Facebook actually stopped doing this because they felt it was disinformation because when you look at that stuff and what Google says is see it says right at the top sponsored you should know this is sponsored content from the campaign but the average person they don't read the sponsored thing they just look for the headline it's like oh inflation is down oh Harris picks Tim walls and so it it is deceptive and so for instance some of the news outfits are saying what we're gonna do is we're gonna contact Google because we don't like this yeah but why are they contacting Google go to the campaign and say you're missing this is misinformation from you campaign this is not our headline we're asking you to cease and desist that you're putting our logo at the top of it is if we said it that's wrong so you look you can do that you can sponsor posts whatever it could be it could it doesn't matter if it's a headline it doesn't matter if it's trying to get people to like your website like your whatever that's happened forever you can do it on social media you can do it on goo you can do it on these places but that one it's categorically absurd that they're going in and just doing this an outright lying because they know people as not Peter Steve Ducey says there most people skip past that or don't know what that is there's a lot of people who don't just they gloss by it right they so they see the headline if they see the headline the headline clearly must be true but the headlines they're talking about the one about inflation we just talked about earlier in the show today inflation is not down inflation is up prices are not down prices are up we these guys have been hitting records across the board I mean if you're a baseball team you want the batting average that these guys have had over the last three and a half years but they're doing that and then what's what's really evil about it in my eyes is not just that they're willing to to boldly lie about what they're doing what their intentions are but Google in this case and you know they won't be the other the only ones saying you know what they're a lot of people do this this is paid okay yeah a lot of people do but you can see and you don't care because you're on their team you can see and you're going along with something where they're misleading Americans at a critical time and you see these headlines and they seem like they're it's just all roses but none of it's true they're not a damn one of those example headlines was true just like nothing that these people say in their their campaign trail stopping points where they get out and talk to however many people nothing they say there is true either but but that to me is the real concern is not it not just that it doesn't surprise me that they're bold enough to say let's just lie change the headline and have people go along with it it also doesn't surprise me that Google's going along with it but that's the part that is is the sickest in my view about it we're gonna see gaslighting like we've never seen before in the next 80 some days it's already started and it's unbelievable and it's just gonna start pumping itself with steroids even further the United States government is the biggest purveyor of misinformation mal-information just total deception of all time and in a close second is the news media so for the new for the Harris campaign to take the take these articles and rewrite the headlines into to deliberately mislead people it's totally normal I can totally it's you know I'm not right I should be surprised and shocked by it and it appalled but it's just like oh really of course they're doing that you know there's just another way to gaslight people to get this historic president in office right but imagine if if you know I own a bunch of publications if I was to my partners the staff if we were to put out headlines and then say on Google since that's the example we're discussing here we want to promote this I get you can slip some stuff through every once in a while but if we were to manipulate and lie in the headline put out a story that Kamala Harris has monkeypox they they would say no that's what we're fact checking that that's false but they obviously and again I'm not surprised by this either but they don't fact check fact check any of these because they're on the same team and it just shows how broken the system is hey if we were to say Joe Biden has monkeypox he slept with Pete Buttigieg and whatever that one's not that out of the realm of possibility but you we would get shut down know that we'd get told it's fact checked is false so the ad is denied and we'd be called people who are pushing hate speech and you know all of this stuff but they can they can do whatever they want and that's why when people get all excited about where the election is now because this is the only way that things are different now than they were in 2020 is that they are worse now because our enemies in the political class writ large not just democrat but uni party the DC establishment writ large they're backed into a corner they are a wounded animal they will not let this go the wrong way for them they do not want him back in office you got to remember we still have the Trump sentencing in September barring a major change and it's likely that his campaign is going to go pretty damn silent and he'll be able to speak from our log or wherever he holds up but that's going to happen they're going to continue on other fronts here and they're going to keep gaslighting they're going to keep lying and sharing all this stuff and they're going to go hard to the hoop like they always do so I'm not saying we can't win I'm the battleground states last week generating rallies of thousands 10,000 here 15,000 there but Michael you know a campaign rally is not a press conference do you mind if I cut in I mean you know a campaign rally is not a press conference why isn't she had a press conference she's the vice president she can handle the questions why not do it we absolutely are going to do it you hear her take questions as she's out on the stump and she's she said last week we're going to be having a sit down interview here before the end of the month of what she's going to be focused on and what this campaign is going to be focused on is communicating directly with the voters that are actually going to decide to pathway to 270 electoral votes that's why she committed to a press conference this week the past week that's why we're doing a bus tour in Pennsylvania as we head into Chicago and it's why we'll sit down for an interview before the end of the month to make sure that we can have a deep conversation about the vision the Kamala Harris has for where she wants to take this country in the contrast that we're going to have with Donald Trump we're going to have plenty of opportunities to do that throughout the month of the interview by the end of the month and throughout the rest of the campaign I don't want to you know belabor this but one interview before the end of the month I mean that's that's not a lot I mean can you commit to a press conference before the end of the month we will commit to directly engage with the voters that are actually going to decide this election and that is going to be a complete with rallies with sit down interviews with press conferences with all the digital assets that we have at our disposal that's phenomenal phenomenal handsome looking restraint right including our our own our own leaders Joe Biden France Germany all these places saying Iran don't you dare retaliate as if Iran has ever listened to anyone so you've got that happening we don't want you to retaliate we want things to simmer down in the middle east that's what they're saying they don't they they want things to pop up but it's kind of funny because as they're saying that we get reports of this right here we'll pop this under your screen major cyber attack hit central bank of if Iran disrupts the nation's banking system they're saying it's one of the largest cyber attacks ever to hit Iran so calm down don't launch strikes don't attack Israel let's let's de-escalate the situation but try and disregard the fact that we just launched a massive cyber attack against you we're trying to cripple you economically now it just we're not trying to promote anything no there's there's no provocation here whatsoever just just you you don't do the wrong thing but so you've got that happening and I think look again this is this is concerning I think there's a show of force and a flex going on with some of our maritime activity over there and you got a lot of saber rattling going on but I also think that this is going to pop off we keep talking about it we asked at the end of the week if if everyone thought and the question of the day would happen before last weekend most people said yes including us and it didn't and that's actually what concerns me the most as I step back and think about what's happening in the middle east and particularly what's happening with Iran and Israel and Iran's so-called response that is coming we saw the little bit of Hezbollah attack the other night but the the bigger response that's coming on the heels of the meeting with Russian military officials and and and leadership over there what concerns me is typically these guys are smart and strategic on a lot of ways but typically when it comes to all the fighting there they're they're they're pretty quick right they they they get right into it they don't care what we say they just do what they think is is best and however however they can kill as many Jews and cause as much mayhem that's what they're going to do we talked about the fact that what was likely or a a likely scenario was just a barrage of of rockets and missiles to show that they cared show their people that they're trying to do something and not their people meaning their population their people throughout the government in the military they're people who are working in Hamas and Hezbollah and all of these groups we talked about it was likely going to be kind of the same thing that we're talking about with our military and in in the region there in terms of the vessels just to show a force we're going to shoot a bunch don't worry we're going to get them knowing that it's going to all get shot down and and stopped by the iron dome or fighter jets from the u.s. Jordanians what not but what's concerning to me is the fact that we haven't seen that fast response we haven't seen that particular scenario that I just described they've been patient and with the silence and the patience it has to have you wondering what they're cooking up because you'd think why why wait the Israelis have been on high alert you know leaders are going in and out of bunkers they're probably getting dizzy they've been going in and out of bunkers so much but why wait if you're just going to do the same thing that you always do and and that's I think what and it to be clear it might not go it might not go anywhere more than their normal response there's a sliver of a chance that they don't do anything significant at all I don't think that's going to be the case but but wouldn't you say Tom I mean the time the time that it's taken for any kind of a response the fact that they're openly meeting with other foreign state actors other enemies of ours allies of theirs that that that to me lends itself if we're flipping a coin I feel like it's a little bit more than a coin flip that it's going to be something different and perhaps something much worse than we've seen yeah right now there's a lot of speculation on what it could be could it be a nuclear weapon could it be a biological weapon or like you're saying could it just be the regular barrage of missiles that the iron dome repels I to me I don't I don't know my my gut is telling me why I do know my gut is telling me that that Iran is it going to go full retard and launch just like this have it all out assault on Israel because they'll end up getting demolished and that'll be the kick off to world war three and I don't think Iran has a lot of saber rattling to it but they've got it pretty good right now with the United States giving them billions of dollars so what would be the point to jump into world war three right away if you were Iran that's the that's what I'm thinking about why they would hesitate and have an all-out massive response possibly so possibly so I mean that but but but all those those all those things are changing too you know in terms of the support that they're starting to get there they've always gotten support and had a good relationship a buddy buddy relationship with some some of our actors but there's a lot of people who are saying don't worry about the US anymore don't worry about this we'll get you don't worry about where you get x y or z whether it's money or or you know arsenal you name it other people stepping up to the plate and we also know how much they loathe us so it depends on what they're what their internal feeling and what the pulse is over there is this the time I don't I would be shocked if it was a nuclear weapon that was used but I'd also kind of be shocked if it was just a normal barrage of missiles I think somewhere in between is more likely because there's still a there's still a potential for this to not go to all out world war three even if it is bigger now if it's if it's if it is much bigger and it's devastating then it's going to be regional war but regional war that involves us will be will be in it um I don't know I don't know I just my my spidey sense doesn't like that it's taking this long I keep thinking every night when I get home and sit out back and start gathering thoughts for the next day's show thinking the same thing it's so funny that you say that that exact very specific and strange analogy is is just what I was thinking but there's this weird anticipation you know is it going to be a really violent yeah rebuttal or is it just going to be you know send a couple over there and see what happened let's move on right yeah you're no you're absolutely right because it really could be could be either and there's there's of course some room in between for something else but it we'll see I don't know um time we'll tell I'm not going to guess anymore or or vote or ask questions of the day on when it's going to start because they keep they keep surprising but can we play this not a video it's just a photo yeah I was sitting there going you know what this has been a like a doom and gloom episode I want to end with a laugh you know right now the the little league world series thing is going on you know how like when they kid comes up to bat and they show like their age and heightened stuff well this is this came out over broadcast this is a kid who came up to bat wrote a Jackson favorite actor slash actress Lexus Texas she's a known porn actress she who let that slide I don't know I'm proud of myself for not knowing that it's like he's 11 yeah that's that's not that's not that's not that's not a great look for the parent or the coach or the but to me or the gfx person who let it slide that's the whole thing is the guy put in is going wait did I read that right like or unless that person's naive enough to do not know who she is but it's just it's just one of those things where it's like how did that get out there because it's everyone is talking about it now and I just think it's hilarious if you come across the a Brevard college yearbook from 1989 you'll see a guy who looks a lot like me but his name is John Holmes that's the name that I used for the yearbook for my yearbook photo at Brevard college that's not going to come off strange or weird when the feds finally catch up and are looking more into Tom well here you use the different name in high school I love it Tom always keeps you on your toes you never know what he's going to say what he's going to do or what food is going to come walking through the front door of the studio we had jelly fish in here the other day yeah there you go yeah yeah or that I love the hat oh boy oh boy mateies I still wear my Vikings captains hat uh when you're not putting them out in the boat nice Tom Tom gave me a great one and now our quarterback's out for the year um is that why you just been down like for the show like it is just resonated with you I don't know it did kind of hit me as much cat said it earlier like oh man there's so much excitement he's I think he's arguably the best quarterback taken in the draft yeah uh I think he's going to prove over time to be one of the most sustainable and and and franchise types quarterback and the nice thing is he's 21 years old so we have plenty of time but but it is pretty depressing between the news and JJ McCarthy going down it's it's a somber day around these parts somber day around these parts but we had fun with you guys we hope that uh you had fun as well we're here tomorrow wrapping up the week with that's meme-tastic as we always do on Thursday I'm sure we've got some great ones I'm sure we've got some borderline inappropriate
