We have joined forces to bring you the best content for our fantasy experts and fantasy nuggets, reviewing the teams, the week that was, and entering all of your questions. Good evening and welcome to the Boomore Bus and our fantasy amateurs question collaboration for 2024. I'm your host Stuart Lord on this late night edition. And I'm joined by Nick Lord, our stats guru, fantasy nuggets, still holding Matt Birdman. Yeah, mate. What did what it do, baby? Yeah, mate. Still still holding. Still got still going strong. That's it. Here that you're possibly spending some of your order trades this week. Mate, only five trades. So it's not really hoarding, but I've definitely got some aces up a sleeve. No problem is made of slipped out of the top two thousand, which I'm a bit disappointed about a bit of a soft, soft week at the tracker. Well, I just just for context, I had Haas, both Ermo, Ellie, guitar, and two else was out, um, Teddy out last week. So, you know, a cup, not a couple of mill, but I know more than a couple of mill out, you know, so yeah, no, I got you. I got very lucky last week. I got bad that late by a little 75 and a Plath 83, like I was looking at my week, jones, jeez. I was like, I wasn't sure I'd make seven home, right? And I was good. All my head to head's nine 20 odd, so that's great. Oh, my cracking 900s. Great. I was cooked and I had guitar and a few other guys out too. So good times and like a place to like a place to like, you can good because McLean got a like a 20. And yeah, yeah, it was not a good week to be known. All right, but look, let's get down to some of these questions made. So I got anonymous one passed through, which was last two trades. Head to head must win money and blow. So I guess question is Nick read money has a little bit of a shoulder issue. Obviously had some done scores recently. Is he a cell? I heard that he trained in a special jersey. What's what's called contact? Bib with Bib. I'm not sure. Is that or something else, but he wasn't in the regulars is the point. So he's pro is could be at this week. So shaking, huh? Yeah. OK. Yeah. And they came makes him a possible trade. So him and blow and I don't mind training, but at this point. So, but he's interesting one since I have a little and Nelson saw for Songmono or Starling and Liam Henry. Now, obviously, I'm guessing that he must need a middle here or possibly an edge. Any thoughts are in this one, or are there any other options out there for people to go after? Yeah, little is going really well. Is he worth? I mean, I picked him up sort of brands 16. OK, 700 kgs. 700 K. Yeah, he's been performing extremely well, obviously. So I see. Yeah, that's it. He's been probably one of the more consistent authors, which, you know, is really worth his weight. All of them. Yeah, looking through obviously Cook's way too expensive at 800. Like he just unaffordable. Yeah, agreed. Got about. If you didn't have a little, right, Connor Watson. Save yourself. Yeah, I don't mind. I don't mind Watson. It's just the four, four, four bench, aren't they, at the moment? They are. And they have been for a while now. I've been in an argument with these guys going, look, apparently, kind of Watson. Like, I believe it kind of wasn't about that by injuries each week, right? With us, though, just to be clear, Stuart, I was going back and forth about it. That's it. And with Mark as well. And basically, just go, look, Watson's a minute. So probably around 55 or, you know, 45, 50 points game, right? In a natural world, it's just that the chokes can't go again without someone getting binged without copping an injury, right? So, say, look, yeah, I was just, I was scrolling through. I was just like, you know what? Because you can't pick up Robson right before the buy. That seems silly. And after that, you suddenly down in happy, brailey territory, right? Yeah. I mean, like... Brailey's got a 30 centimetre, we'll take the Reed Marnie score. Yeah, no, I know what you're saying with with Watson. Starling, you know, he sort of cracked the bed last week with that 34. What about if you want to go down, could you squeeze out? Maybe assume it's head to head must win. Yes, it is. What about, like, wait, are you going to someone? Like, go, go cheap on that front and then see if you can pull out. Because he's 546k and he's easily capable of 50 or 60, right? Yeah. And then... So, assume he's got about one by one to play with. So, 546 only gets another 540 to play with for a middle. Oh, OK. Um, it's a bit of a relief. So, you get you anywhere? Yeah. You're like, you might as well buy Mitch Kenny at that point. Mm. Look, I guess my gut one is, look, little is the superior option within Starling. He's safer, but Nelson is pretty, pretty bad as a middle option, especially if you have to play him. If he's just sitting on your bench, that's the play. If you have to start both of them, it would be Starling and Liam Henry for me. 'Cause it looks like Liam Henry will get at least one week on an edge, but probably more than a couple of at least 60 odd minutes on the bench, I think. So, 60 minutes starting while the hamstring injury for Scott Sorenson continues. Yeah. Yeah, Liam Henry, James Fisher Harris is in the 21 this week, so... But it's the edge bot. He hasn't been cut. And the edge, sorry. Yes, yes, yes, sorry. Yeah. Because he's playing edge this week. And he does what a lot of things. He makes a ton of tackles. He's a busy fella. Yeah. OK. Yep. OK. I understand Starling. I think if it was me, I'd go egg him around the Starling, but I can understand. Yep. No, I agree with that too. You could certainly do that. You certainly have less risk for him. You just did risk about egging, copying HIA. Yeah. All right, Dee Hunty, 91, is asking, is Ken and DC and Campbell, are they cells? Look, King Klimatangi, I think back on an edge, I think it would be an 80-minute edge. You'll get that high 40s, low 50s mark. I think that trades being a premium that they are. Nick, I would probably hold King Klimatangi going forward. The tricky thing is with Klimatangi is there's no... Like, assuming you're playing in the middle, because edges are pretty good at the moment, right? Like... Yeah, but who you're selling to, that's an upgrade. Yeah, it's really tough. Like, with hearse out, carrogans on the buy, it's middles. I've got the same problem this week. I'm sort of thinking, gee, should I move from Klimatangi to Eli? But it's like, okay, Mitch Barnett misses round 27, which is for us our grand final. But also, if you're playing overall, that's not ideal. As I go, you know, there's no difference between coming first or second, so he might get a rest before the end of the year as well. And then it's like, AFB, same boat, Max Plath. You got a trade from Matangi to Max Plath, like... Yeah, it's always... That's it, Ken, let's get some meat pie running off Cody Walker, or Jack White, and suddenly you're laughing, right? Yeah, cod is on the buy next week. You're looking at, realistically, like, Connor Watts and our Cameron Murray. And then... Are you really upgrading that point? Not really. No. And look, Cherry Evans, look who said a couple of quite weeks. Now, I did warn everyone that this could happen, is that if they start winning big, he will have the occasional boom game, which he did against the Roosters, right? We're in 21. And then he'll sort of just vacillate up and down, essentially, because they're scoring everywhere mainly. They're just going ballistic, and their run home is soft. Warriors, Tigers, Bulldogs is not soft, but they're sharp, so they've got at least a couple of relatively softer games against some softer edges there, unless these teams stiffen up. So, I reckon that Cherry Evans will be up and down, but you probably wouldn't sell neither, right, Nick? Like, who else do you buy? Yeah, I agree. Campbell's a tough one, because there are some really good wing fallback opponents this week. There are, but I think the Campbell is one of those guys, I think, that they'll turn it around this week. I was at that game, like, live, which is probably the worst title of the game to be at all year, I'll be honest with you. Great for your shark supporter, like, fortunately... Traveled away from Sydney, just for the full disclosure. Yeah, that's it, flew up on the flight on the day to go and watch that travesty of the game. Look, when my team's shark supporter said he was very happy, so he was in the middle of the freaking corporate area, basically giving it to, like, all in sundry. It's like, mate, just... We're, like, like, sisters around and by, like, you know, sort of the home crowd, and I'm sitting there in my painters jersey, so I don't know. People left me alone, and I'm talking to you. That's so good. Anyway, look, Campbell, I would leave alone, unless you can absolutely upgrade. So, Nick, who would you call an upgrade to Campbell this week? Yeah, so you're looking at, in the same sort of price bracket, you're looking at Pong or a Turbo, depending upon what you like, but if you're after a bit of spicy life, Joe Marno is definitely on to look at, and he's only, like, 550K or something. Yes. So, I think those are three excellent options, and just... You like them for different reasons, obviously. Roosters have a really soft draw, Pong is going to easy-ish draw, any goal kicks, and then Turbo is just in great form, and Manley's playing really well, so... Yeah, and he just backs up. Turbo's great thing is that he's an effort-based player, so when the team does well, he will just be sitting at the end of all of these line breaks, sitting there with those meat pies, right? Yep, absolutely. Him to start up is like a cheat code, if he gets on this. But trying to, like, try to predict who's gone to school the most points is basically impossible, so... Yeah, look, they've all got cases to hold all those through this week, do you, Hunter? Robert Fervais is going head-to-head semifinals with three trades left, he's thinking of trading, Nick, Jack DeBellan, Emma, and Clive Piss Paul, any suggestions. Yeah, the only thing I'll leave you, the other guys, right? Emma, right? Yeah, I know he had a soft week this week, but he's averaging for the season, right? A pretty decent lip, yeah? So, like, he said three soft weeks, but before that he was averaging around 15. Yeah, he was. He said about Emma, like on... No, no, I don't think so. I mean, we knew that the dolphins were coming into a tough period for them. But yeah, before that, he was absolutely flying, so it'd be a shame to sell them on a week that he performs well, even though I know it's follows. You can straight trade him some gerry money? Yeah, that's the tempting trade there, for sure. I totally understand if you want to do that. It's, who are the Africans this week? The Bulldogs, the Bulldogs, the best defensive side of the comp. Yeah, yeah. Whereas the Roosters have the eel, so, you know, runes that what you will. Dolphins away versus Roosters are home against eel, so. Yep, yeah. And I don't know about you, Nick. So, it sounds like, look, if we said Manu there, so you save about 10 grand, right? Yeah. And then we got Piss Paul, who's just been on... He's just been on a slide this year. He's basically starting off where he started this season, right? At 5.20, he's on his way back there. Yeah. He's coming off at 50, though. It's just been a bit of up and down for him. So, last four, last five have been 40, 51, 37, 23, but that was against the Panthers to be fair, and at 50. Yep. Um, I guess, would you go one up, one down with these guys? So, like, maybe trade Jack DeBell and down, and then trade Kipiss Paul up or something like that? Yeah, the problem is you can't get those guns. Yeah, you could put your hands on Yo, and then pick up, like, a cheap fit filler. Yeah, it's your must in your mind, boot based upon... Yeah, it's not a must, I'm just saying that, like, as far as if you want a middle, it's solid, right? It's reliable. Like, how many guys are you pretty sure are going to get you that 50 plus points each week, and could occasionally get you a 64? Yeah, Yo's the only one. The only one standing. Yeah, otherwise, Angus Creighton is around. He's playing well. There are a few other guys. Yeah, Angus Creighton. I'm not sure he's going to be as influential as he was. I just don't know. I watched him before the buy. He looked good, but obviously he didn't pop off, like, owners would have been hoping for, right? That's it. Yeah, no, he has been down a little bit on form. No, just from origin, just the hangover, basically, I think. And he came out... I mean, he could come out... Yeah, he could come out really well this week, I'm not sure. So... Look, Yo, if you trade up to Yo, you could trade down, just get a cheaper guy, call it a day there. Just the issue is the middle range of guys, right? Like, who's there? Who's even there in the middle range of middle, right? Like, you just... Yeah, we talked about it before, yeah, it's terrible. Yeah, you'd like sideways trading everyone. There is no certainty. Like, if you're thinking, like, "Oh, maybe Alex Safath, maybe Alex." No, like, just... Dude, he got up to the... He's shedding cash ever since he's on his way out. He's obviously playing for next season. Preserving himself. Morgan Smith, he's still putting a pie 40, but I'm not sure that's what you want at this time of year. You might as well just keep Jack the Bellon. Yeah. Yeah, Liam Henry is... Look, he's a... Would be a little bit of a shout, but still we're talking about 600K for a guy who might be benched in three weeks. Cam Murray. Yep. He's the other guy, 659, back at 13 Nick. Yeah, who knows what sort of minutes he's going to get. With that bench, it looks pretty good, dude. Talastank and starting, right? So, as this Kalama Tungi... Like, he's taking minutes off him. Like, Kalama Tungi might move to the middle for a bit. Spell him. That's about it. Yep. Or Talastank and probably Talastank would have come on, shift to the middle when they allow Jacob Post to stink up their squad. Yeah. Yeah, I just... I just don't know with Murray. There's just too many questions, so I think you're right. You're a bastard, really. But, assuming he already has you, then Tarp and I obviously should be in there if you don't have him. Yeah, middle's terrible this week. Yeah. All right, let's keep on moving. Cook Glaser is saying needs a gun. Preston or what's "must win"? Everyone's got "must wins" this week. Yeah, I'm... I'm not sure, mate, yourself. Ah, let me just look at the last four. 'Cause, okay, so this win must win this week. But remember, you also got to win next week and the week after two. The Dolphins Warrior Seagulls are coming up for the dogs. The Dolphins... And then the Rooses have... That's not any podcast listening. They have Eel's Titans Raiders. Oh, you've got to take Wato. Like, just against these soft squads, too. Eel's Titans, who just don't get up and Raiders at home. Your point, like, Turbo, like Wato can just back up through the middle and score and get triceps when he goes in dummy half and things like that. I think... I think you're right. I think Wato's a pretty attractive option if you don't have him this week. Yeah, I'd probably pull the trigger on him. But, wait, mate, they're both great choices. You cannot go wrong. Either way you go there, right? It's literally like the draw. I don't know. Lip or coin. They're both good. Preston's looked really formidable as well. He's been... He was really good last week. He was... It's the reason why Salmon's coming off the bench. They're only danged with that one. It's that, you know, you might see Salmon play some edge. Maxi 1994 saying trade can for Cammarie now that they've done the switch. Cam average isn't a high four. He's an edge cam averages 60s at lock. And then he'd save 100k. Maxi, the only thing I would say, mate, is that I'm not sure that they're going to... They're going to burn out Cammarie. With absolutely nothing to play for this late in the season. So I would say that they will probably spell Cam a little bit like... It won't be playing the full 80. It might be doing, what, 65/70? Yeah, that's what I'm sort of thinking. 60 to 65 maybe. Yeah, it'll still be... I just don't see much. It doesn't see much upside from... There is some value there. Play a lot, right? No, no, no, sorry, sorry. I mean from South Point of view. That's why, mate. Yes, no, I get it. There's some cash value, but we're going to pass that. So, Maxi, you can do it, but there's not a huge upside. Luke, silly, Nick. This one's for you. Any play under 7.58k? Planning on Pongum open to suggestions. Yeah, like this is set at the top. I think Pongar, Turbo, Manu, just... Yeah, just those three, you just get the feeling based upon the matchups and their runs home. It's just... I think they're all going to go really well this week. So, yeah, they're the guys that stand out in my mind. Yeah, look, I mentioned that, you know, it might be Turbo Time a couple weeks ago, and it is definitely Turbo Time now. So, like he did have a quiet game versus the roosters, but like, okay, he's last for 52, 91, 31 against the roosters, and then 78 last week. So, I think there's going to be some points here for him going forward. Yep, he looks like he's running with full confidence, which is dangerous when he comes up against the leaky... two leaky squads in the row in the Warriors and the Tigers. Yep. All right, Callum Green is... He's got the easiest question answered tonight. Thank you, Callum Green 24. You know, I treat Samuel Ophania to Murray, or just wait till next week of the week off our head-dead finals and have two trades in the bank. We just answer your question, mate, if you can wait, just wait. Like, Murray gets cops ahead, knock this week. You've made a trade, you're on the buy, suddenly burning your last trade to get Murray out, and you feel like a nugget, like, just don't do it. Luke Sergo's the third on Murray and Munster for the run home. We just talked about Murray and Nick Munster. Haven't really heard much about him this season. Obviously, he's been injured for the last majority of it. Anything which would see him bring him into the squad, like, new scenario, 558K. Not for what I saw in the last couple of weeks. I've watched them both the last couple of weeks. I haven't liked what I've seen from Munster. I think they looked much better with Wishart there, because he's running the ball much more direct, much more impact, going to line. Munster's still finding his feet, though. I wouldn't count on him finding it this week against the Panthers, right, Stu? No, I definitely would not. And he doesn't look right. The fact that he's going to have both hips done at the end of the season, right? Says to you exactly where he's at in this injury, and the fact that basically the injury that he already took, basically, like, they were going to go in surgery to, like, on his groin, right? And basically, when he got injured, he tore that already, so they're like, "Well, at least that's done for me." That's not a good thing. So... No. It's not great. No, his kick meters will be down, his engagement will be down, his fitness will be down. He cannot be running properly. I think they're just getting him in case they can try and make a play deep into the finals, and he can do a booper-crunk, and kind of steer them around with one groin on my back. So, yeah, I would put him... He's actually in my Chuck O'Stavok for the next season. I have him in Ben Hunt at my draft side. I'm standing Ben Hunt. The ironic thing is, is that Munster's making the attack look worse at the moment. Yeah, he's not really helping, I don't think too much, so... No, maybe. He plays at such a weird cadence. It's hard for everyone to get react-climated, because him and Wish are, like, complete opposites with the way they play, so... That's true. And Munster's looking for, like, a penalty, or, like, a six again every time that he gets the ball, and he just kind of tries to hold players in, or, you know, slip a flop around to try and do it, and he just, if it doesn't pay off... Versus... It's stupid. Half-break, get your find-your-front, play the ball, you know, like, which is... Yeah, they're complete opposite players, so yeah. For sure, definitely. Jamie Arley, Marnie to Liam Henry with a trade. When is the dogs play? Dogs play Saturday through Ben, so Frodo through Ben Thursday? No. So, you have to trade it before the game. Nick, what's your gut thoughts, Marnie to Liam Henry? I'm just looking out, Liam Henry's stats. Holy crap. He is a stud on the edge. Averaging 62 on the edge in three games. You just gotta make sure that... I'm gonna do it. I'm doing it. If he, my only concern for me is that if he... Essentially, he and Maverick Gyre are having a shootout for the edge positions in this year, they're both highly rated within the squad, right? Maverick Gyre is a more traditional edge. Liam Henry's more like that hybrid role, like it's got his Sorenson. And so, if I... I think Liam Henry's a much better player, though. Like... He's probably... Possibly. But like, Maverick... Nah. Maverick's been coming through. But I'm just saying that he could be a shootout this week, because obviously with Sorenson out for a few weeks, but you've only got Martin out for one. So, depending on who wins next week, and the severity of Sorenson's thing, you might end up with only only them for two weeks, and then back to the bench for Henry. Yeah, and Maverick's been playing on the left. So, yeah, that will be the vacant spot, obviously. Yeah. So, Panther's trying to play both sides. I have no issues besides combinations for this. It's more... It's more... I'm not sure you'd want to upset their right hand side defensively at this stage for you if you're the Panthers, right? No, that's true. But I'm saying Liam Henry can play both sides. That's all. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Yeah. So, look, yeah. Look, Liam Henry is probably a good option if you've got a bonus trade to bring him in. Nick, Matt Pittman, agents dropped one spot from 30 to 31, and he's played the target, thinking to upgrade KPP, and get any other topage other than Barnett. His main energy's for the feeder with Colo on the bench. With three trades, does he pull the trigger and his Gus the obvious option? Yeah. I think he's an option. All the coatties an option. So Preston or Crutton, if I had to get one, I'd probably go Crutton personally. Yeah, that looks about right to me. With the week off, he should have those nickels in his neck sorted, and we should see some peak Crutton, like no chillness.
