Another of Charlie Knight of football in the least ran under 15 county district championship with Onrua and mid-carries game and rap more, providing a dramatic ending and some top quality football. Audron Folle opened the scoring for mid-carrier with a well taken point early. Onrua responded with a free from Khan Dally. Onrua then took the lead, tanked a brilliant goal for Morn Bockle. After getting the ball from a great ham pass from Patrick Odenhoa, Bockley left Fly with a rasp of a shot that flew into the roof of the net. Two quick points from Rowan Garren followed. Mid-carrier were still looking dangerous and after brilliant work from Aidan Sheen and Callum Calvin Folle found the net with a confident finish. Long quick ball into Dally was still working well for Onrua and he kicked over another brilliant left-footed point. Garren Brendan Lee judged a free that just crept inside the post soon after. Back came mid-carrier with back-to-back points from Folle Michael Colnan. Dally showed his killer touch in front of the goal. After superb work from Orlinch, Garren and Joel Connor, Dally found the room to fire the ball into the roof of the net from a tight angle. Leaving Onrua with a two-way to one-four half-time lead. With the win now with them mid-carrier got the opening two points of the second half coming from Padio O'Sullivan and Folle. With Onrua struggling to move the ball up the field, Killian Minen's fine point was a crucial score for them. Hugh Maguire then made a fine save from O'Sullivan diving low to prevent the ball going to the net. Pinesom Folle and Colnan brought the deficit back to the tree. When O'Sullivan gathered the ball near the Onrua goal it looked like the sides would be level. His shot seemed to end up in the net but just missed the post and Onrua held out to claim a crucial victory. Showing how tight the margins are in such a competitive game. Elsewhere East Curry showed their class bouncing back from last week's defeat against Sam Brendan's with a convincing win away at North Curry. Playing with the wind in the first half gold some Killian Fits drilled and Isaac Vickers set them on the way to victory. A strong defensive display in the second half against the wind helped them to a huge bounce back victory. In order matches there were also wins for Sam Brendan's and Castle Eileen District. With one round of action left to play expect plenty of excitement next Wednesday night. Thanks for listening. Good luck. [ Silence ]
