It's Wednesday. You know what that means? It's time for all the talk with the AWFata podcast team. This is Kelson. This is Alex. And yeah, we just had the second last episode of Dynamite before all in. Next week, we're going to Cardiff Wales for the first ever European, first ever non-North American Dynamite. And they've announced some matches tonight that I'm excited for. Well, one that I'm excited for for Cardiff Wales, I think the Ocata versus Claudio Castignoli. I'm not as excited for the hook versus the Redwood match, but we can talk about that later. Well, did they also say something about the acclaimed versus FTR as well for Cardiff? No, that's on collision. Yeah, that's collision. Ah, okay, wasted opportunity there. I guess FTR does prefer to wrestle on collision for whatever reason, even though they're, they seem to be on every Dynamite for the last few weeks, at least. Anyways, I thought we started strong tonight with the the match between Mercedes Monet and Hakaroshita. I know that some people are not huge fans of Mercedes Monet. I won't point any fingers, but I thought she was great in this match. I thought it was a great match. You know, the ending was the ending. I felt like, you know, they wanted to keep Hakaroshita's momentum by having her lose in a cheating heel-ish way with Camille hitting her with her own Kendo stick. But yeah, I really enjoyed this match for what it was. And I also really liked the ending where Camille was defending the ring from Britt Baker, whose music was playing at the end after Mercedes Monet won. And then she turned to the person in the crowd with the stingmasts, holding the sign up. And, you know, because that was Britt Baker a few weeks ago, and then started beating the hell out of this random woman. And then Britt Baker showed up anyway. So it was a nice callback. I don't know who the random woman was or if it'll ever come into play. But yeah, I like this match. I like the ending segment. And I am excited for Britt versus Mercedes at all in. I'm not gonna lie to you. I thought this was the match of the night. Yeah, I thought so too. I mean, it was a really good match. She does likeable Mercedes put on, you know, look, she's not for everybody, but I appreciate that she tries. She's not, you know, phoning it in. And she's a good seller. Yeah. And I honestly, Mercedes has had a tough time because she's been wrestling some women like, let's face it, Willow Knight gills twice to Mercedes Monet. And I don't mean that in a bad way. I'm just saying that, you know, when you're smaller, maybe like Rio trying to take down Keith Lee, you know, it's just, well, that's not good analogy. But you know what I mean? I mean, when you're dealing with, you know, physical capabilities that no one could get passed. Of course, you're gonna have that. But you have two women here in Sheeta and Monet that I thought put on a really, really good match. I can't say anything bad about it. The only thing that I didn't like about the match was that mass person, I assume a woman in the crowd. It would have been great if that would have been a reveal of Jamie Hader tonight. But it wasn't. And it was kind of weird. Maybe it was Taye Mellon. They said that she was coming back tonight. Maybe that was her, her bit. There was her back. Yeah. Like even if it was just, even if it was just Rebel for one night, just just to have the call back, I think that would have been fun. Well, Rebel has been posting a lot on Twitter or X, if you want to call it that, you know, over the last several weeks, watch AEW Dynamite. So she's still part of the team, I guess. So, you know, looking at it that way. So I would not be surprised if Rebel showed up and did something, you know, just had a wave to the crowd. But yeah, that's my opinion on this match. I would love to hear Sutton's opinion. If you're talking excited, you did. I would love to give you my opinion. But unfortunately, I was blacked out until the end. I didn't get to see how the match, I didn't get to see, I got to see like the very first part when she went, when she came into the match and they were across from each other and she went in and then I lost everything. I couldn't find it on any of the places that I usually look at. I was like, you say you were blacked out, was it like you said you were on a bender or? It was seriously, it was like if you were watching a baseball game in your local area, they've got blacked out and you see like the first half of that first inning and then it just goes blank. I couldn't get it on, I tried it on the TBS thing, I tried it on the T and T thing, I tried it on the different places. I finally got it back right before the ending when Camille was attacking the person. I think it was a guy, I think it was a smaller guy, just look like somebody likes your pentaco or somebody like that. It could have been that happened, yeah, because it was a small person. It wasn't, it could have been a woman, but I'm pretty sure it felt like it was a guy. It wasn't Eddie Kingston. To be honest, I don't understand why when they have these run ins, I thought it was great. They started to do what they needed to do, she got into rings, she got Mercedes down, she was getting ready to do a lock job and they pulled him apart and they don't give the women the same amount of time that they do the guys. No, they don't. They let the guys come in and beat the living crap out of each other, then come in and break it up, but as soon as the women start to go after each other, they're breaking them up and I don't get that, but I'm gonna have to go back and try to find it on YouTube later and see what the match actually happened because I didn't get a chance to see it. Well, Deb, what did you think? I like seeing Camille. I like her more and more that I see her. Me too. I like the match overall. I think that Monet is still wrestling a little bit like her injury is bothering her. I noticed a couple of times when she was running, it looked like she was wincing a little bit, so I don't know if she's not quite over her injury. That was a little concerning. I would have liked to see who that was in that mask. I think that's setting up for something later like a tag match with whoever that is in that mask and Brit against Camille and Monet, and I think the suspense will be built. I think they'll do something else with that mask. The person that was in the mask got the absolute snot beat out of them or was it not a factor at all whatsoever. Why would you be looking forward to them on masking and being in it? I mean, even if they reveal in a backward way that it was Jamie Hader in the mask, that is like the worst return ever. You know what I mean? They moved the camera though. We only saw the beginning of the beating. We didn't see them get up off the floor and run off or whatever the ending of that was. So technically, we didn't see somebody getting beat up. We only saw the beginning of that. We didn't see the whole thing, so anything could have happened over there. So I think that leads to what went on. Who was that? This isn't finished yet. I just think the best person is a non-factor, to be honest with you. What about you, Red? What do you think is the, do you think the best person is going to show up again? Or do you think that the masked person, as Ned said, wasn't shown enough to see if they had any effect? I mean, what did you think about this match? The match was good. These are two very quality performers in the ring, so that was unsurprising. The person with the mask, I'm not going to say it was someone significant, but it's not very heroic for Britt Baker to go out there with a sting mask, and they're going to beat the crap out of you so bad that they're not going to show it. I didn't like how Britt kind of just walked. They showed this slow walk through the crowd, kind of like, let this person get their ass kicked. There's no urgency, no anger. It's very lymphatic, very slow. I don't know how it felt about that. It was very awkward all around. I mean, she gets in there. She's, Emil kind of didn't get to her quick enough, even though she obviously could have gotten to her quicker, and she's sitting there like belaboring the lock jaw and not doing it. It's a little weird, but, um, you know, I think it goes to show Monet, I mean, her value to this championship for a while, it seemed like the TBS title was the dividing line for the lower profile women wrestled for that alacar. She does trying to win it. She's a three time former world champion. I think that's important here. Yeah, I want to move on to, well, let's talk about the Mariah Mae segment. It was a film. It was basically her doing a promo. And, uh, that we heard from Mina Shirakawa afterward, I kind of thought this fell flat, which I hate because I'm so invested in the story, but I don't think that this did anything. I mean, I don't think anything Mariah said, did anything to further the story, unfortunately. And Mina Shirakawa basically said what everybody thought she was going to say, which we've been talking about for a couple weeks, what's been posted on the internet, like on by Fightful and whatnot. So and what Mina Shirakawa has posted on Twitter herself. I mean, she just basically repeated herself. So this was kind of a miss for me. I don't, what do you guys think? I'm kind of starting to get a little worried about this because it seems like when Tony's not involved in it, it's not worth watching. And that kind of, they, they, they're, they're kind of blowing it a little bit because I agree with you. I didn't think there was anything special about any of that tonight. Yeah, I, I agree. Um, I felt that way about most of the Mariah Mae segments. Like I think she's great. I think she has those like acting chops. But for whatever reason, I just haven't felt connected to this character that she's become. Like it, you know, Tony, Tony Storm nails her character just 100% every time she's out there. And Mariah Mae, it feels like she hasn't quite found it yet. I think, you know, the Mina Shirakawa, they didn't advance that story, but maybe next week or on collision, we're going to get something that makes that make sense and brings more drama to it. So I'm hopeful for her role. But yeah, the Mariah Mae stuff has felt, yeah, just like it's missing something for me. What about everybody else? I was about tired. Oh, sorry. Go ahead. Oh, I was going to say I like the line where she said that we're both going to die. But I'm going to read your your Jeff. I thought that was good. That was good, but that. Oh, um, I was just saying that I wasn't that excited by it. I don't know where they're going with this one. So it's wait and see for me. All right, Alex. Well, what do you want to talk about next? Um, yeah, let's talk about the the three way match. We had Kyle O'Reilly, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong. Kelson, did you watch this match? I guess is my first question. I, you know, when Orange Cassidy's music hit, I had that, you know, giddy feeling in my stomach and bladder. No, it wasn't my stomach. This is the eddy feeling, right? No, it wasn't an eddy feeling. It was definitely an orange feeling. And, uh, you know, and I, I did want to see what the entrances look like, you know, with Kyle O'Reilly and Orange Cassidy with the conglomeration and, uh, and Roderick Strong from the unnecessary kingdom. And I could, I, I turned a channel as soon as basically Orange Cassidy's music hit. Well, all you think I will say is that an Orange Cassidy match, you know, is so predictable that I literally turned the channel to TV back on at the exact time that they cut from him in the middle of the ring. I assume he won because they were doing a close up picture of him. I assume he won because they were showing him and it went on to the next thing. So that's, so, so yeah, I, I didn't see a second of this match and I am a better person because of it. And I did take care of that stomach issue. Yeah, it was, it was an, I wasn't super happy. Well, like, I wasn't super excited about the match. I think the stakes of the number one spot in the casino gauntlet at all. And I understand why that's better than coming out third in the casino gauntlet match. But it's pretty low stakes, all things considered. Orange Cassidy kind of stole the win from Kyle O'Reilly. And Kyle O'Reilly was so mad about it. And you go like, why are you so mad when the stakes are so low, which I thought was kind of funny. And in that moment, I felt like, you know, maybe we're going to get the Kyle O'Reilly heel turn joining up with the undisputed kingdom that I've been worried about. Unnecessary king. And, and part of me feels, you know, I do like heel Kyle O'Reilly. And maybe he would make that faction more fun. So maybe it's not the worst thing in the world. But yeah, overall, this was not, this was maybe the low point of the night. What's going to be sad is, you know, in that casino battle royal or whatever they call it, that it's going to be orange, Roderick and O'Reilly come out in that order. You know, that's going to happen. Meaning that this match was completely useless. You know, it's going to happen. Probably. Yeah, you kind of have to make it for a spot in the match, not, not to just have, like, if they're all coming out in the match anyways, that it does make this match extra goofy. It's called the casino compliment, by the way. That's true. My bad. Anybody else have any opinions on this? Okay, moving on, I think that the next segment that they did was Ocada and Claudio Casagone face to face. And I actually kind of enjoyed this. This, believe it or not, and I'm looking at this card. And I would say that this was probably my third favorite segment in the show, my third favorite part of the show. And it wasn't even a match. I just thought that they, you know, Claudio had this level headed, you know, almost assassin type ninja feel to him. And Ocada was just, I had to give him credit. You know, he did the whole thing in English and he spoke quite a bit. And we did get a bitch for the first time in a long time. So I was happy. What about you guys? Yeah, I really liked how they talked about like tournaments and kind of established the continental title as the tournament title. Like it's, he's going to defend it in the continental classic. I like that talking about that because it seems like they never really established what makes the continental felt special. So it's good that they're leaning into that. And yeah, both these guys were great. Like for Claudio, who's a guy that's not known for promos, he did great. And for Ocada, a guy that English isn't in his first language. He did great. Yeah. Red. What did this make you look forward to Wales? Audio cast and you only love for professional wrestling is infectious. No one wants to see this match more than Claudio cast and you only because these are two, you know, I think five years ago, this would have been a dream match, right? I'm looking forward to it. I like the face to face. And I liked at the end, Claudio sort of worked himself into a shoot almost on behalf of wrestling fans. I'm kind of tired of seeing Ocada be this goofy guy. We want the Rainmaker. We want the man who is the most prolific champion in New Japan history. And I hope we get that next week. Very, very good point. What about you, Doug? Do you want to see the Rainmaker or are you happy with Ocada the way he is right now? I would like to see the Rainmaker. I agree with Red, the part that Claudio said when he mentioned he's tired of seeing someone who's trying to impress his friends instead of taking things seriously. I know he was referring to the Young Bucks and a lot of fans have expressed many times that they are exhausted with the Young Bucks nonchalance goofy kind of attitude. And for it to, it looks like it's affecting Ocada and the way that he's perceived for Claudio to call that out. Make everyone see it for what it is. I think that spoke volumes where Claudio is really taking this seriously and wants a good match, not a lot of nonsense and name calling. Take it seriously and grow up a little bit. So I hope we get the Rainmaker out of this. I don't think that Claudio deserves anything less. Very, very good point. Yeah, I'm with you and Red on that too. I mean, I want to see the Rainmaker. I enjoy goofy Ocada, but goofy only works if he can back it up with violence, I guess is the best way I can put it. And he's not really doing it because frankly he hasn't wrestled a whole lot. Anyway, Alex, what do you want to talk about next? Yeah, let's talk about the other, maybe the other high quality I thought promo or package we had, we had Darby Allen with like a promo video backstage. And I thought it was really great. It had like the emotional music behind it. He was talking about, you know, the story we all heard about him living in his car trying to get signed by AEW, but ended calling out Jungle Boy, Jack Perry. Yeah, I thought it was great. And then Darby Allen came to the ring. I don't know why. I don't know if he had a match. Was there a guy waiting in the ring? I was totally confused by that. Well, the reason why is so that he get his ass kicked by Jack Perry. Yeah, talk about loose ends. Anyway, yeah, but then Jack Perry, and I thought their brawl was great. And we got to see security probably successfully do the first thing in AEW history. They actually prevented Jack Perry from trying to kill Darby Allen with that ease of backstage tack gear. I don't know what it's called. Yeah, I thought the segment was great. It made me a lot more excited for their match. It's now going to be a coffin match. I think this match is probably one of the things I'm most excited at for for all in. I love the new Jack Perry. I'm sold on him. And yeah, I thought this was a great like five-minute segment. Yeah, so I think that Jack Perry is going to lose the coffin match. Darby's going to put him in the coffin and light and light the coffin on fire. So but anyway, remember earlier I said that I thought the Mercedes Monde and Tharsheeda match was the match of the night and that the Claudio Cassignoli and Okada segment Kazuchika Okada was my third favorite part of the night. The Darby Allen and Jack Perry was my second favorite part of the night. I just thought that this hit on also there except for when Darby's music hit, he started to come out to the ring for no apparent reason, which I thought was funny. And because he was coming out to the ring and there was no reason for it because it's not on the match card, the fact that Jack Perry was waiting for him was like, okay, this is weird. You know, Jack Perry, Clairvoyance, in full full gear here. But anyway, just what you said, I enjoyed every second of this. I thought it was well done. The vignette was well done. The whole attack and backstage stuff was well done. I just enjoyed it. The only thing that I do want to get out of my off my chest here, Darby, my mother wants her bathrobe back. So, you know, give it back. He's pimping it. He's got the pimp robe going. Now, come on, that would have went over well with back in the day with the one guy. I can't think that would have been perfect for him. Good segment. I was looking forward to this match as soon as I knew it was going to happen. So, you know, I don't really care what they do up to it. I'm kind of down on the whole elite thing now because, you know, with Claudio calling out Ocotta, he's not lying. The Bucks doing what they do is just boring. And I love the Jack Perry character, but I don't know. It's just it's it's too random. There's not enough going on with them to make it worth watching. I do hope that Kelson's right. And I'd love to see a burning casket. That would be amazing. What about you, Red? I mean, is are you the tonight, make you look forward to the Jack Perry and Darby Allen match it all in more or are you just kind of leveled off? God admit I'm a big CM Punk fan and Darby Allen kind of worked himself into a shoot in this vignette. This seemed like deeply personal. I'm like there's a lot of animosity. What he said was kind of reflective of the rhetoric about Jack Perry and the elite. It seemed honest. It seemed very personal to him. I don't know if these two are friends in real life. I don't know if this is just two guys being professionals. I hope he sets Jack Perry on fire and he goes away for a long time. Oh, I the elite are terrible. They've lost it. Up in guts. Tony Khan's been back for months. This gimmick doesn't make any sense anymore. Goofy. They've ruined the tag titles. They've ruined the TNT championship. Caught as a joke. I think it's time we end this at all in and Jack Perry gets buried and goes away and comes back maybe in three, four months with a different gimmick. I want that. What are your thoughts? I agree. I'm really tired of the the elite and I was all for Jack Perry at first. But he's he's worn it pretty thin. I think that Darby was speaking from the heart. I I had a feeling that he was telling a personal story and if he wasn't he was doing some some fine acting there. He had me believing him. I like the purple Jack and not purple pink. I like his pink jacket. And I I don't know. Oh, one thing that I was almost expecting was when Jack Perry let that door down on to Darby Allen that there was some surprise person on the other side that was going to let it back up and jump on Jack Perry. But that didn't happen and and I don't I don't know who it would be. But I I had a feeling for a brief moment there that someone was going to kind of come to Darby's side and and get Jack Perry. I don't know who who it would be because nobody else seems that upset or paying that much attention to him. But it it made me stop and pause for a minute that that would have been a moment. But I don't know what they're doing. I think it's I do think it's time to end it to to figure out what direction they're going in and go in that direction and and this thing that their own one and and go somewhere else. It was funny at first and it was a good time at first but it's it's been long enough. All right well I might as well get this over with. Let's talk about the hook segment with the learning tree Chris Jericho. Oh I'm sorry I dozed off there for a second. I look I have I did watch this so I could speak eloquently eloquently. You know what I'm saying eloquently when you're trying to speak. Oh you can't. So look at what Lee speaking. This was absolute bullshit. First of all you had Tony Shavani in the ring and he points to the ceiling and there's the hook bat light whatever the hell you want to call it. My biggest problem was when hook came to the ring Tony Shavani said it's look in the same style that he would say it's sting. It's undeserved and in my mind extremely disrespectful. I hated that. Right off the bat I was disgusted. Then you had a hook come out and say that he can't see out of his eye. Well of course you can't see out of his eye. He's got it covered. You know take the bandage off. I was like oh okay great keyfave galore here. But anyway then Chris Jericho comes out. Hook wants to fight him tonight. Jericho says let's do it at Wembley. I groaned. Everybody in the crowd groaned. Honestly does anybody want to see Chris Jericho and Hook again at Wembley. Again did they do this last year? Who cares. Honestly this is just awful. Then we're getting hook and guests Redwood which honestly I'm looking forward to that more than against Chris Jericho. At least I could be it. I just. Yeah Tony's losing his touch on a lot of the men's side. There's just way too much stuff that isn't working and he's just sticking with it too much. The only thing I'll say is if they put it on the pre-show that would be better. Please don't make it part of the regular card. That was just it's just not worth it. Maybe he'll beat Hook and that'll end the add-on end is Jericho days according to what Jericho said. It's a dark match. It has no business at Wembley. Right it should be Cardiff. If anything it should have been the one at Cardiff. Didn't they do this before with Jericho? It's everything Jericho does. Seems like the only thing that when Hook said Jericho is one of Jericho's old catchphrases that was pretty cool. I will give that but other just no he's the only thing the first time I can't remember the wizard. Yeah the way who do that against did the same exact thing. I think it was against Eddie maybe. He did it. I think you're right. Yeah it was Eddie. I believe it was Eddie. Maybe Eddie is coming back. Well I don't understand is this is so different because normally Jericho doesn't repeat like that. He did it to Eddie a couple years ago now he's doing the game with Hook. That makes no sense. I don't get the fact that normally Jericho doesn't do this where he gets to the point where it's he goes too far into storylines like this that aren't working. He usually is good at getting them and fixing them and if it's not working changing up that was always what his thing was. Redoing himself and making himself meaningful but he's not doing it this time and it's starting to get pretty old. One thing I did notice and I don't know if you caught this is that he went a little bit away from the learning tree because it wasn't working and he did shift a little bit during what he was talking. I don't know if it was just me but it did seem like he he kind of went away from it a little bit. Yeah he had pieces of it but he was definitely more serious more angry than just the goofy high guys. Here's a fact about your city and I like that. I appreciated that. I felt like it was a better version of this and I thought Hook's promo was pretty good. Like I've been kind of down on Hook usually but I felt like I could see a brighter future for him than I have but all that said all the positive things aside I'm like negative 10 excited for Hook versus Jericho. Right. Hook versus Jericho 3 maybe it's 4. They've definitely had at least two matches already. Well Red look listening I'm not listening reading your Dynamite preview or reviews on the what is it the Augusta Free Press? Is that what it's called? I wanted to get that right. And you post that on Greatness of Wrestling you post that on AEW. And of course you can get it at we can also read it out Augusta Free Press. I've noticed that and I do read them. You're not a fan of the learning tree it seems because it's mostly a miss what they do because you do a hit or miss and it's it's a miss so I've been interested in are we going to get another miss from you on on your article this month this week? I have to be honest Kelson thank you for the plug by the way of that uh but segment wasn't bad Hook's promo was definitely a step in the right direction for him and Jericho stipulation kind of almost makes me believe that he might win this match and Hook might have to move on from the FTW title I think it would benefit Hook and that's just the optimist in me but um what's gonna only help I'll put it this way I mean Jericho likes to work with people in pretty quick fashion you know a couple months and he likes moving on the next program it could be good for the FTW title or he's gonna get his ass kicked by Hook and it's gonna be the same old same old lot to find out but I like the segment well net did this light a fire um no no it did not light a fire oh no no um I don't have any interest in it it's it's not working for me yeah well the rest of the crowds seem to be of like minds then because I don't know I yeah I don't know where they're going with this let's just bury this part and just let's move on Alex what do you have um yeah let's talk about I guess the Young Bucks versus the acclaimed they had the AEW World Championship or tag team championship match um this match it felt like it never really got going and then it ended FTR kind of came out to stop the Young Bucks from hitting the acclaimed with the title and we got a MOS as they call it FTR attacked the Bucks because one of them spit on DAX and uh I guess we're seemed to be on the way to getting Young Bucks versus FTR at all in that's kind of the feeling I'm getting here it could be a three-way tag team match but that's I don't know I feel like a three-way tag team match would probably be worse for me um I love the FTR so I would actually be probably one of the few people that's be really pumped for Young Bucks FTR 5 they are two and two so it would be kind of the rubber match but at the same time it's something I kind of wish they'd build to a little bit better if that's where they're going um but yeah what are you guys thoughts on this I gotta be honest with you and I'm going to keep this short but after the the three-way that I didn't watch and then of course we had Claudio and Wakata that followed by the learning tree and hook for after the learning tree and hook I had absolute I was struggling to pay attention to the rest of the show so I was basically looking at pictures of daisies on my phone uh for the rest of the show after the learning tree segment so I really can't speak about the batch and I hate it because you know I thought it would I thought it was probably going to be a good batch I like the acclaimed I appreciate the Young Bucks in the ring uh but yeah I mean I was I was just totally bored with the show by that point I just didn't watch I think the match went on too long for the ending they they they drug it out way too much um it we kind of kind of figured that was what was going to happen it was going to end that way I'm I'm hoping that like I said they need to end the elite and I think the best way to do that is next week or on Saturday when they have the I hope the acclaim will win that match get their title shot at Wembley and have them win it Wembley that way you can end the sorry you can end the reign of the elite you can get some new blood into the tag team titles and move away from the Bucks versus FTR because four is enough for now it's too early for a fifth I personally am not looking forward to that being at Wembley right okay anybody else have an opinion on on this you have two tag teams like the Young Bucks and the acclaimed who are really masters of their craft apply their trade on television all this was kind of inconsequential it's kind of hard to be upset in the grand scheme of things shouldn't we be happy we're seeing this on TV yeah I mean I absolutely I I even mentioned that I like the acclaimed and I appreciate the Young Bucks it's just that by this point I was so bored with the show and it's unfortunate but I couldn't focus that's all I'm saying I think for me the fact that it was like not the last match something about that just made me feel like it was not going to be as consequential as maybe it would have been if it was the main event if that makes any sense like I've been trained to not expect as much from a non-main event championship match interesting point actually that makes a lot of sense what about you I was kind of surprised that swerving you towards the main event that just didn't seem right but anyway uh because it was definitely at least two matches on this card that were more main event material Mercedes Monet and Caro Chita and even uh the bucks that you claimed you know seem like they were a better choice that what did you think of this match the the bucks and the acclaimed um I liked the match but towards the end I kind of tuned out once they kicked kicked um Billy Gunn out I was kind of over it that's where I lost interest um I don't know what's going on the there's something missing the for the longest time the the Young Bucks had it and they really had my attention and had me engaged every single time they were on tv but from where they lost me and I'm not as interested in them as I once was and I loved Kenny Omega is what it was yeah I I think maybe that some of it is is I do miss Kenny a lot um and I love the acclaimed I do I like them a lot as well but there's there's just some something there I I don't know if if it's the chemistry between them um FTR coming out at the end I it's like they need to bring breathe new life into the the tag team division and they're they need something new and exciting going on I don't know what it is but something needs to change there to get more engaged as I said I was I was owned out in that during the show during this match um well for the rest of the show to be honest with you didn't they I don't know I'm asking this in all seriousness uh didn't they create a match between the Young Bucks and the acclaimed not the unbox but FTR the acclaimed to decide who's going it is on collision it's on collision it's theirs too for the title shot at all in okay Christian Cage is not going to be the guest referee I hope oh goodness yeah which brings me to the next segment that I want to talk about is the Christian Cage well the patriarchy segment um key they made a trio's match between the house of black and the bang bang yeah what I don't know what's going on here it just kind of seems convoluted are we doing a repeat I'd or they never came out and said what's gonna happen yet did they that's still up in here I mean we haven't heard anything from a tote con just made a match kind of thing so we still may have a three-way at Wembley yeah I'm guessing we're getting a three-way trio's three-by-three last on last on collision they bake a uh a uh another match between the house of black and the bang bang bang at in Cardiff or something like that I don't know I did kind of like I did like that they actually address pack not going to go not going to Wembley but all out which I think is smart I did think that was smart uh and you know pack probably deserved to go to Wembley I would have loved to seen Packet Wembley but something tells me he's still gonna kind of show up I don't know read there's got to be a casino gauntlet spot at the very least with his name on it sure but does anybody have anything to say about pack or christian cage or anything like that I didn't see the christian cage part I stepped into the kitchen for a minute and he realized they were on there so but uh pack yeah I would love to see him at Wembley hopefully he will be in the casino match um it's a shame he's not going to get that title shot at Wembley but I do believe you're right I think he's gonna be there I think he's gonna I don't know he might help he might help cost I don't know there could be a chance he might cost mjf that title yeah that's a pretty good pretty good assumption there anybody else have anything to say about pack or christian cage yeah just about pack like if we are getting that either him versus mjf or him versus will osprey are gonna be great matches um so any direction they go yeah I'm excited for that for sure yeah I agree they can't lose with with pack I mean pack is a special talent in my mind so Alex what do you want to talk about next um I guess I'll see if the better match for last um so I'm going to talk about hang me in Adam page versus J lethal um I don't know if it was the the other one was a better match but this one like I do like hangman a lot I love him sneering it's nice that J lethal uh had some time on dynamite I can't remember the last time he's actually wrestled a match on any show maybe he's been on rampage and I missed it um but yeah this match was pretty predictable I find it kind of interesting that they're giving hangman you know a match during the lead up to all in when he has nothing really announced yet and and we don't really have any clear direction other than he's he could be in the casino gauntlet and he could be the favorite to win that but you know I'd like to see him have a a bigger role in that show yeah I mean to me I was just impressed that J lethal did get some offense in in here and I think it's a testament to hangman uh being a team player I really do think he is a team player I think he he gets some shit but I don't think he deserves it uh and his character work is fire to me I mean he looks like he just wants to go out commit murder every time he goes out into the rain so I mean I appreciate I thought it was a good match for what it was yeah it was predictable but it was enjoyable who else on the hangman and J lethal match so I was at the first show AW did in Norfolk Virginia J lethal was in the main event of that show hangman page had just won the title I don't understand how a former I mean you know best ring of honor champion statistically speaking and J lethal is not more featured than he is I mean he just got his ass beat I hangman page it wasn't even like competitive uh this probably should have been the main event it probably should have been more competitive because these are two really great wrestlers hangman's in his you know home state close to home as he's probably gonna get an AW I don't know this seemed like a big missed opportunity can't argue with you they're dead do you have anything to say and Sutton do you have anything to say about this match I'm personally not liking the whole I get I get his I get hangman's attitude and what he's doing but it just seems like he's out to kill everybody and it's kind of lost the focus of what it was about in the first place and yeah I get the fact that he's not in a program with swerve right now but it's like let's like they did with the elite everything up to that match was focused on what it should be and as soon as they lost and Darby threatened and got what he wanted everything's changed they've kind of now he's going out and attacking that group you know he went out and attacked uh Jeff Jarrett tonight and he's got a big deal with him and he like like Russ said he needs uh there there's no way that that should have happened tonight like it did I like hangman when he's the the cowboy guy and he's he's normal but I'm just not buying this thing he's doing right now because it's to me it's just getting too spread out but I'm I'm not thinking I'm not thinking he's gonna be in the the gauntlet match and he's gonna win it because it to me I guess it's gonna depend on what to do with the world title it it all in I'd be there for hangman and pack to be the last two you know don't want to be the last two but I because you know how these gauntlet matches work you have two people in the ring and everybody else is standing outside that's only thing that bothers me about these multi-man matches but I do think that it's going to be hangman and pack probably have the most interesting face off in the gauntlet match if they are both in the gauntlet match like do believe they will be uh net what did you think about this match I liked it I do agree that it it should have been uh probably the main event and I was disappointed that it wasn't um with hangman I also feel that they've lost focused with him he had some good stuff going on there with swerve and it's like that got lost in the shuffle and kind of buried and he doesn't have any direction except being angry at everyone that he comes across I wish he would have a little more focus to that I felt for a long time that that uh J lethal is not used enough and used well enough so something needs to be done about that too what I don't know but they're they're just I don't I don't know something's missing again I'm gonna say it again I don't know what it is but it's a piece to the puzzle that I can't figure out and I'm not as excited as I was about Wednesday night even though I know what that means so I don't know all right well I want to move on I want to before we talk about another match I do want to touch on a vignette that that was also found and that was the set up of mgf and we'll ask for at for Wembley um as part of the video package and this is something that I found interesting as part of the video package they showed mgf a few days ago at a match against michael loku at at ref pro defending his american championship during the match mgf did defeat michael loku and then went to give the the tiger driver to oku's fiance amira and that's when will osprey came out uh now oku is no slouch he actually beat will osprey earlier this year he's also defeated this year i know he defeated entity a go-go from a w this year there was one more person in a w that he did defeat this year yorko maybe i think he fought him on the crew no it wasn't it wasn't yorko i i did read it last night i can't remember it's really not important but what i think is important about michael oku is that fightful select and other media outlets are reporting that a w is very close and that's the word to use very close to signing michael oku and amira and i think that's a fantastic signing and i think we gives it insight the types of wrestlers that tony con has been signing recently uh kind of gives you insight with the direction that the company is going in and i'm excited for it because oku is one of osprey's really good friends and amira she she's a wrestler slash manager um but she is capable of course she is oku's fiance so it makes sense that they would come in a package deal but i just thought it was interesting you know and i and i thought that the the package did do because obviously edgy up is in england right now or probably wales um and so it so is osprey because they were both over there this past weekend no sense of them to fight back for a couple days just to go back so they're over there for the long haul you know but uh i'm just excited to see that that when you look at the gauntlet match michael oku is going to be in that gauntlet casino gauntlet match at mmm-hmm and when believe i guarantee it yeah like michael oku he's kind of the last they don't really have they used to have you know indy wrestlers who are big names before roh is part of a w before a w took all the indy wrestlers before nxt took up all the indy wrestlers they used to be you know kevin stein elgenerico like big indy names and those don't exist anymore and i would say michael oku is kind of the biggest name that's not signed to one of the big companies these days very likely yeah does anybody have any experience with michael oku as far as you know are you a fan or do you know anything about him or something you want to share like what can he expect from him maybe nobody knows but never seen him before i've heard of him and like you said he is going to be part of the the casino gauntlet because he did post something about he you're going to hear his music at Wembley so right if he's if he's if he's osprey's buddy and they have a good report together and they've had good battles he's got to be a good wrestler that were you gonna say something oh i i don't know anything about his work i haven't seen anything or looked him up or anything i don't know all of us you're the one that's most of the indies yeah i know but i i just i haven't looked i plan on it but i i just haven't done it yet i'm having one of those days kelson forgive me so i'll get there i'll get up yeah what about you ready are are you familiar with oku at all i've seen his matching it's mjf i've seen some clips of him with guess sera is younger brother can i do that right yeah oh no no uh he's just in rev bricki night jr i think he's in rev bro oh that brother i guess he's sera is brother i don't i don't really know but um i mean he's a great performer um you know he hustles in that sort of i call it the pwg style that kind of you know uh unlimited energy offense kind of style so i think he'll fit in an aw i mean i don't know the ins and outs of his career in rev bro i'm not gonna i'm not a big rev pro fan but matching is osprey's great um so i i anyone who has not seen him should seek out that match if it's january i think but yeah i think it was january maybe because it was it was osprey's that was the match where osprey fulfilled his obligations and that's where tony kon was in the uh in the arena and and osprey addressed tony kon saying you know that he's gonna be there for him basically you know it was a big huggy huggy kissy kissy moment all right well Alex what do you want to talk about next i i think we just have one thing left um so so we had swear Strickland versus Brian Danielson's protege i guess we can call him wheeler yuda um i i enjoyed this match um i i've someone that always hated wheeler yuda with the passion for whatever reason him betraying the best friends really just got to me and i just hated wheeler yuda him being gone for a while and coming back i feel like there's part of me that's forgiven him so i'm enjoying him as a wrestler more i did like seeing swerve kind of kill him in the end of this match um and you know some of the stuff after the match it was like i couldn't understand why this was the main event of the night but that moment at the end was swerve just you know coming back kicking Brian Danielson from behind and then just doing the slow evil methodical yes chant was was a great moment for me and i thought that kind of made it worth it and made me understand why they would put this last just for that kind of go-home shot yeah i mean i i had heard that they were going to do a nice video package about the career of Brian Danielson and i did watch that uh that was really good i enjoyed it i fully admit that once the match started i kind of zoned out um but i do want to say that i was very confused why this was the the main event of the of the show because the main event for me should have been Mercedes and a caro shida but apparently Mercedes had a private jet to catch so they put her on first which worked too i mean get the viewers you know something to watch right off the bat uh but from what i heard of this batch it seemed like it was a fairly decent match i'm sure nobody was surprised at Strickland one and that there was going to be a confrontation involving Strickland and Danielson after the match which happened uh i don't know and there's what it is anybody else what did you think of this batch nobody okay he knew oh is anyone surprised by seeing will or you to get battered by Sore Strickland in the main event i mean and then at the end Sore Strickland's no selling is uh punches like you know i i don't know at what point this guy just acts like he's superman now i mean he gets shot with staple guns he laughs it off he gets punched in the face he laughs it off what would you would you drive a two by four through his head i mean what how do you hurt him i mean i understand tony con wants to build stars but like got to be a level of um realism is something that's supposed to simulate combat sports i can't just get his ass beat and he doesn't feel anything um get punched in the face and he smiles about it you know it's it's starting to get a little old is all i'm saying i guess yeah i i was it was a decent match i wasn't impressed you knew what was gonna happen i i do think that they're going to have Danielson win the title i think like you said read i think it's time to knock Swerve down a few nachis because it is becoming unbelievable and that's not good for the for the game i mean i know that is a big Swerve fan uh being from the same region uh what do you think a Swerve and overall and i mean do you agree with the other guys that that Swerve is kind of becoming like this invincible monster i agree um but it i i agree with the the physical side that it's getting a bit ridiculous that he's almost untouchable it makes me wonder though if um his weak spot at some point the way to get to Swerve and knock him down a few pegs is going to be through hangman bothering um his family and that's his weak spot and somehow it's going to circle back around and that's what's going to be the ultimate doin of Strickland somehow and it i thought about it when Strickland was way up on the ramp and he was talking to brian about uh your daughter will be sitting in the audience right there and so watch me cripple you and aid me think about hangman eventually getting him back because they said something during hangman's match um about him about hangman tasting his own blood and having a flashback to his match with swerve and it just started making me have a little click in my mind like they're gonna get swerve back somehow he's gonna stop laughing off punches and and acting like nothing can hurt him something's going to hurt him and it it may not be in the way that we expect it to so we'll see hey now i'm going to put you on the spot but i'm going to put everybody on the spot because we're going to go right down the line here um on a scale of the grade school scale a to f what do you rate dynamite this week um i give them a c okay red d plus fair enough sudden c minus i'm going to give it a d plus myself what about you Alex yeah i was you know the first half i was enjoying it and i was feeling like a a minus kind of 80 percent and by the end it was a b minus i think around the 70 percentile for me would would everybody kind of agree then um and i don't know my whole thing i said this on uh a w fan hub live chat i thought the first half of the show was really good and then the last half was just miserable yeah i wouldn't go miserable but yeah i felt like the first half was much much stronger i'm i'm wondering what has changed between because this just doesn't feel like the same as it did last year for all in build-up yeah you know what i mean last year it was they wanted to make it because it was so big a deal and now they're just like yeah we're gonna do another show and then let's just get this because you just don't feel right at all well the problem is Sutton as you like to say here's the problem Tony Conner's got a TV deal that he's working on he's been talking to Shane McMahon you know he's been crying over a CM Punk you know losing CM Punk still i don't think that he's had the time to put it to all in that he did last year i mean honest to god i think that he spread himself a little too thin and you know he's also god i mean you look at the news you got you know a stadium stadium show that he's setting up for the Dallas area he's got a stadium show that he's setting up for next year in Australia you know it's just all kinds of stuff that's going on and Tony Con definitely needs help with that but hey and if he wants to keep it all to himself fine but you know it would help if he had help well the other thing is besides that you've got football season starting in a month so you know he's got that was that was the same thing as last year at all in two so that hasn't changed i'm talking about i agree i agree with you i i think that that my son and i argued about this yesterday after the show i i get why everybody doesn't want then doesn't want Shane there but i still think that with Shane there he would be valuable in the back to kind of help Tony see that he's got to do things different because like i said before i think he's doing everything too far in advance if he's having talk you know if he's having talks with people in Australia for next year you know we halfway through this year get through the rest of this year and then talk about it yeah they probably want to announce it that at all in and that's probably why they're doing it stay well i feel like you know whenever there's it was almost six weeks ago so it's going to be two months between forbid indoor and all in i feel like every time that they have the longer periods between their big shows that you really it just drags more yeah you just lose more and and i feel like that's why they've added more paper views but unfortunately this is probably the biggest gap they've had in quite a long time and yeah it's just losing momentum and it always does i think people always get super excited after the huge show and then and then it fizzled out and comes back again later yeah well it is what it is but speaking of the new big shows i mean next week's dynamite when we have all lead talk on wednesday will be after the uh the show out of whales will be recording it at the regular time regardless of when they actually air it again i don't know i mean they haven't even announced whether it's going to be you know the regular time next week you know apm eastern time which means that that that they're we're actually if they do it live they broadcast it live that means that they'll be broadcasting it like at you know two o'clock we're doing the show like a two o'clock in the morning in whales i don't think that's going to go over too well uh so i told me he heard it was going to be taped okay well that makes sense uh because we got collision and dynamite next week of whales next week we will also be doing uh our prediction show on all lead talk so next week's all lead talk we'll be pulling double duty so we're going to cover what happens in whales but we're also going to do predictions for all in at the matches that have been announced so uh we've got to uh condense our talking for next week so that we can fit everything in because it's going to be an interesting night next week on all lead talk and of course Tuesday night we'll be doing ignition and uh if you haven't listened to this week's ignition it was a really good show it was uh i was i listened back to the podcast that we recorded last night and it was just really really full of many different viewpoints and opinions uh had a lot of uh Sutton's background noise going on i tried to change it up to every once in a while you know jeez i mean i swear to play a game at home try to figure out what it is yeah i i did i i was like is he bowling my cats were bowling they were bowling for bottles that's what the noise where i'm telling you i was constant but anyway uh so that's all lead talk for tonight i'd like to thank the panel for joining us and expressing their thoughts and opinions we'll see you again next week but for this week we're signing off this is kelson this is Alex good night everybody good night guys night good night eddie kenston
