Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as they give their takes on all things Detroit Sports. The number one midday show in Detroit is on. Welcome to big D energy. Yo, yo, yo. What's going on, buddy? Welcome back to another episode of Big D Energy. Big D! Right here on the Woodward Sports Network. My name is Neil Rule, that guy. D-Mac, Darren McCarty here in the house. We got the usual sus. As Spencer Raxter said, the boys are back in town. I don't know what that means, but that was T.T. Okay, there we go. No, we're, hey, K.G. We ain't good, but we're real good. We working on it now. We don't need K.T.K. No, we don't get through this. No, we're going to get through this. No doubt about it. Neil Rule, D-Mac here in the house. We got K.G. Young Justin is back from the Poconos, or you're in the Poconos. Yes, sir. At a music festival with the silly little logo where the "E" said in the "L" element it was? Yes, the elements festival at the Poconos Raceway. Who is your favorite? Subtronics and "L" is Dream. Oh, I'm a big Subtronics guy. Oh, of course you are. I never miss 'em. I never listen to 'em, so I never miss 'em. So, there is that out there. Spencer Raxter in the building. Hello. Spemma, what up, though? What up, though? How you living? Pretty good. Got 'em right this weekend. Excited for that. Oh, yeah? It's near Grayling. It's called "The Bambi" is my friend's cabin. It used to be a German restaurant right up on the highway that his grandma owned. And then when they opened the freeway, they stopped getting trafficked. So, it's just a cabin now that we go up to every now and then. Okay. I'll be up in Gaylord and Alpina this weekend doing some cannabis stuff. Oh, really? Yeah, absolutely. So, what's bad? Yeah. Yeah, I'll be right up there. Absolutely. Doing some cannabis stuff, for sure. Yeah, right. No, no, no doubt. No doubt. But I'm happy to have the boys back together. D-Mac, what have you been up to, man? A lot of stuff. A lot of stuff. I think Broder in the back said D-Mac played any golf. And they said the question should be what day didn't you play golf? Yeah. So, a great event on Saturday with the vet life out in Fowlerville. Eddie Murray was there. Braille was there. For the veterans, that was a big thing. Had to go over to Canada yesterday. So, I love getting back. I don't get back enough. So, that was cool. Shout out to the Hatchet Hockey. Hockey Boys drew and Tony and the boys. So, I've been busy getting ready. Golf tournament for everybody this Friday. I know we're on remote tomorrow at Feldman. And then we're at a golf course on Thursday. What is it? The junior amateur? It's part of the randomized. The junior golf association I believe. Yeah. So, I mean, look at the weather in the past weekend. I hope everybody enjoyed it. Oh, chilly. It's a little chilly. Were you in Florida? What do you care? Right? Yeah, I was there for 20 years. I had the slingshot all weekend. It was beautiful. Yeah, I was supposed to say it was chilly. It was mild. It was just right now. It was nice though. Yeah. Beautiful. Had a couple of nice outdoor fires and stuff. Yeah. So, it was out after that. Live in the Michigan summer life. I experienced a hurricane. First one in my life. It was crazy. Yeah. Not in the po... They don't get hurricanes in the Poconos, bro. It was the effects of the hurricane. I think we did this called Hurricane Sandy. Is that a new kind of molly or something that sounds like? What is the story of? When is the hurricane? That's like the new... Is it the new name for Molly? Like, what is it? Synthetic Molly? What are we talking about? It's not. It's the one that blows your canopy away and your tent as well and floods your whole campsite. You know, normal hurricane weather. That is some strong shit. There you go. All right. But yeah. So, let's get into it. Jump into that chat. Subscribe to the World Sports YouTube channel. Get your thoughts in there. Ryan's reaction. You'll decide on back-to-back vacations out of resentment for Matthew Krueger. Well, no, I was down in Florida for CBS. Had to do some work for Paramount Plus in Detroit City as well. That was a long thing. I was off yesterday and DMACC... I had a great moment yesterday. A great moment in my career is... I was scheduled to be in the Pistons Foundation golf outing and I got bumped last minute because Richard Hamilton was supposed to not be coming into town and then he ended up coming into town. So, I got bumped and ripped Hamilton got my spot. I can live with that. Yeah. I'm actually happy with that. I'm actually proud of that that I got bumped for rip Hamilton. So, that's big time. So, Blake's. That's big time. Yeah. So, I'm happy about that. That's good. If you're going to get bumped, that's who bumped you. Yeah. You better shoot him at DM until he's telling me to send you some bourbon. Man, he took my spot. At least you could do to send me a bottle of bourbon. No, I mean, if he wants to. I'm just saying if he wants to. No, but I'm like happy with that. Yeah. I'm proud of that. That's a flex. So, it was like a last-minute thing. So, I ended up, you know, Sean came in yesterday and did the show because he was a cool dude like that. So, I had like a day off, which it was really weird. Nice. It was really weird. Okay. I'll just say it like that. So, what do we, Neil, rule a day off. What does that look like? Fears, Mueller. Took the kids, took the kid to soccer practice. What else was on there? Did a couple of yard work things. It was electric. It was electric. Yeah. Pure electric. That was some beehives, you know. Pure electric. That was with the hurricane. That was the hurricane. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Pop the molly. You was sweating. So, yeah. John F.ing Lord in the chat. Rest in peace Tuesday. Yes, it is. Second hour, we're going to do some rest in peace. I haven't done it in a minute. We're going to get back to it. There is some other fun. Yes. But, yes. DNC, ENT, Neil has adjusted Florida weather talking about chili. No, it's cold here. It's cold. Okay. It's cold. No, it's not. It's not at all. Yes, it is. But I was able to steal a patio night on a outdoor deck night on a Monday, which was cool. You're welcome. Thank you. So, there it is. You got to get them in. It absolutely was. Just a fan, Neil already getting the two furnaces fired up. We haven't quite gone to that level yet, but it's on the horizon. Only one is on right now. But it is on the horizon. I'm going to be on the river this weekend. I was born on the river. Yes. I'm excited. Inluthy. We'll talk to Daniela Bruce. I thought the Detroit Red Wings. Daniela, man. She's second hardest work immediate person in this town behind me. That's facts. We'll talk to Daniela Bruce. We'll get caught up with her. How much? It's not long, right? Before they get in the mix. Yeah. What is it? Three weeks? Something like that? Yeah. Three weeks. Three weeks. Damn. It's going to be cool. It is going to be cool. And now, like I know even this year, training kept, they're not doing a bunch of stuff because they're not having the golf tournament. Or whatever like that. So it's probably in and out rate to exhibition before you know it will be out of it. You're a month and away from the start, a month and a half away from the start of the regular season. Kyle Zweed. Justin, I'm heading to Delaware tomorrow for the Fish Festival. Hell yeah. That's not kind of fish. No, it's not. It's a smelt festival. I think it's like fish the group, right? Yeah. I don't know. I'm up in it. But yeah, we're going to get into the Lions injuries for sure. And DMACC, I got to talk to you, man. I need you. I'm glad you're here today because I got to talk to you. All right. You got to talk me through some here. I know. I know you are. Let me put my hair up. Before we do get into that, we touched on this before. And I do DMACC, your people. I don't know how to say this. There's too many dogs at the airport now, all right? There's too many dogs walking around. You're a people. I'm a cat guy. You see cats walking around? No. People are walking around with two dogs on a leash and stuff like that. I thought you had to check those things. What are we doing out here? I'll tell you what, when I was in the airport in Denver, waiting for my flight back. There was this one lady with a dog. And me and my brothers were looking for a place to eat because we had a couple hours. So we walked by it a couple times and it barked at me every time. I looked at a pump fake. Good. Little fucker knew there was a real alpha walking by. And it stood down. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. There's too many dogs. There's too many dogs at the airport. People are getting a little too brazen. I saw somebody with one at the grocery store. They're like going through the produce. They got their silly little dog in their hand. It's too much. I'm all four dogs everywhere. At a grocery store around your food? Yes. I love dogs, but I'm with you here on the airport thing. It is honestly ridiculous. I should not be hearing dogs barking and babies crying on an airplane. That is a lethal combo that is miserable. I think people should, if you have a dog on the airplane, just unhook it and let it walk up and down the aisle. That would be awesome. Okay. I love dogs. Only big dogs though. I don't like small dogs that much. Well, that's usually all it is. It was funny too because on the flight back Sunday morning, we were starting to the approach. You know, if there's a baby on there when you start to drop, the ears start popping. Some of them start crying and stuff like that. You should have saw how the people were, but this lady had a dog. This lady had a little dog in her lap. Nobody cared about that, but the baby starts crying. Like, hey, you cried when you were a baby. I'm about to rather fly with a dog than a baby. Just turn your head, turn your head set up and be an adult. Like you should have saw these people about a baby. You cried when you were a baby. So pack it up. All right. I'd turn out a 10 rather fly with a dog than a baby. I don't know. There's two. These dogs are cool. Babes are just stupid. Just a fan. I won't fly on airlines. It won't let me take my therapy ostrich on the plane. That's where we are. That's fair. We are now. So, I don't want to see them. I'm a Detroit hero. People always got them little ugly dogs. And there's that too. Yeah. I'm a big dog guy. Shirts and-- What they should have at that point this brings it up is that why don't they just have strictly separate flights? Yeah. I mean, you have dog flights or family flights or-- Yeah, put those dog owners in the back of the plane. You see how, like Neil said, the evolution, where we're at now, before it used to be really strict. You had to have service dog or whatever like that stay under the seat. Like if it's evolving into society, we're being more, well, why don't you go with it? I mean, the airports are big enough. Just an idea for a conversation and try to make everybody happy and then whatever. P3 says, "As a father, I brought my three-month-old on a flight. She didn't cry once. But I still gave everyone a $25 Amazon gift card that were around me and my family." Nice. Detroit Arrow. Dogs greater than babies. Boot him, kids. Facts. Yeah, we don't have boot him. Dog shirts. Well, maybe we need to start. You'd be the only person about it. Yeah. Wait. Now you see you're not a dog or a cat guy? You just hate animals? He's not a pet girl. No, I don't like pet hair. Like I don't-- I don't like it. And you can say, "My dog doesn't--" My dog doesn't shed. She's hyper-allergy. You're a genie liar. Hyper-allergy. You're a genie liar. Get a golden doodle of stuff. Yeah. Gold. She doesn't shed it all. Liar? Yeah. Liar. She got sprayed-- oh, oh, you guys, I didn't tell you guys about this. So Holly got sprayed by a skunk the other day. And yeah, we were-- you know, we were going to live peacefully with these skunks. We saw them-- there's a couple of them. There's a little family of them. We saw them walking around at night a couple times. Just try to avoid them so we don't get sprayed, but we're going to let them live peacefully. But they drew first blood. They got-- we mean my dad-- we're ordering pallet guns online. We're going to get a little headlamps. We're going to go fucking Zero Dark 30 on these fucking-- so we're taking them out. Because she-- she ran to the back, and then my dad couldn't stop her in time. So she ran back in, just smelled like old smoke bombs and shit. I'm pretty sure they're-- because we live across from a middle school, and there's like a sign in the middle of the big field out front with bushes all around it. I'm pretty sure they're living in those bushes. So I'm going to buy some-- So you have it ice them. I'm going to buy some smoke bombs. I'm going to buy some smoke bombs, toss them in there, smoke those little fuckers out. Pick them off. And then they're going down. Yeah, yeah. Spenny, we-- yesterday with the bees. Yeah. I know you all love bees, and I know they're a central part of our civilization, everything like that. But hey, you have the whole earth. You don't need to gather in the corner of my roof over there. Yeah. Right by where the deck is. It's down. It's for sure. And tell your friends. They-- you know, we-- we were going to live peacefully with them, and they tried to expand territory. Yup. And you know, I've got my dog. I've got my neighbor's cats to worry about, like, it's, you know, it's life or death out here. Motown Mitch, Woodward Sports Talk Skunks. Yeah, we do. Clean it up, some of the comments here real quick. Freddie Felt. Neil told the bees get off my lawn. Same way with those a-hole wasp and hornets. Yeah, no doubt. The bean. It's okay, Neil. The bees are not pollinating life-givers. They are stinging predatory bees. Your actions are noble and justified. I'm putting them down, DMACC. I am, and I don't care. I'm putting them down. You have the whole earth to make your little houses. There's got to be a tree somewhere. You don't need to do it on the corner of the roof. And if you do, you're going down. Tell your friends. Tell your friends. Tell your family. DMACC. Yes. The news came out. Bang, bang, bang. Last night. Lions with the evening practice at training camp. Gibbs, Arnold, Rachster, all left practice with injuries. There isn't, like, there's no talk about, there's no fear about season ending injuries or anything like that. So I guess that is good, but DMACC, here's where I sit with it, ma'am. It's just, I don't like the trend. And let me tell you why. You know I'm big on this stuff. Last year, for the most part, the Lions got off pretty easy as far as injuries were concerned, right? Pretty easy. For the most part, other than a game here, a game here, but as far as, like, long term, losing a guy or going down and having to replace them, no, that they pretty much had the guys they wanted out there. No doubt. So I just, I am starting to get uneasy just with the flow, just with the vibe. Now, let me put a couple of things out there, DMACC, just the injury flow. That's what I'm saying, not anything in particular, but I'm a person DMACC where this is my logic with college football, when one thing, when one thing happens in excess, which I think Lions health was pretty much in excess, the pendulum always seems to swing the other way. I'm worried. All right. I'm just going to say it like that. We all break me down. I'm afraid. I mean, it's not, it's going with, with the odds in a, in a league that is a hundred percent injury. Correct. Right. Like this is a league where it's a hundred percent. Everybody's going to get hurt at some point, more or less the way they play. So the odd, so the odds are is the fact that you're going to run into it. And this is always, this is why injuries are number one. You can build the team however you want and have everybody you want, but as an I keep going back to it. And Dan Campbell says health is important. Now what you hope is that they're prepared for this. Now the one thing is, is that you're establishing elite starters. So the guys who are going to replace them aren't going to be as good. Why? Because your starters are better than what they used to be. Instead of having a B and a C, you got to A a minus and then you got to be trying to come in and help or replace them. So my thing is Neil, odds are you're going to face injuries. So the fact that you're going to face them early. This is all part of the next level of getting to the championship that things aren't always hunky dory that Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes and they have to figure out. So whether it's where people are saying, are we going too hard? Is this a trend? Because in practice, the self awareness that the team has. Especially in the training room, in the coaching room. These are the conversations that we have. I'm sure that they're having. How do we stop this, right? But it was inevitably, inevitably going to happen. Whereas why are we focused in on it? Because you mere Gibbs went down and he's one of our horses and we haven't lost a horse like that. Now you brought up a great point, right? It's not like he tore and is out for the season. You know, what do they speculate in week one, whatever like this? So you got to gear back and slow down. Does this, if you're in that lion's locker room, if you're the coaching staff, are you evaluating this? Because I'm sure this is a conversation piece that was had. Why? Because, like you said, in sports, specifically football, at the highest levels, college and pro, the trends are what they are. You're not saying anything that anybody else. Now it's about how do we adjust to that? And who do you have that can step up and fill that spot? And hopefully, we are going to have injuries, but they are like they were last year. And it's only for a very limited time. Well, where sports chat thread burned, the old lion's PTSD creeping in again. I see. And no burn. It is, it is not that. It is not that. It's what it is, is, look, nobody walks into the season healthy. Nobody. Like, let's just be real about what it is. All you're trying to do is dodge big misses, like season long and bless you. Thank you. And so, and again, the lions, who in this room would say the lions were not injury fortunate last year? Who? Nobody. Nobody. Like, he was never there, so he was like never a part of the core. You know what I'm saying? And James Houston, we knew going in. We already knew that one going in. I'm talking about like, and the vitae thing, there was an angle of depth that the team had last year at that spot. There was an angle of depth to it. Now you, you walked the line a couple of times with rag now and things like that. But by and large, you got away with it because you're always going to have that in this league. It's not, it's not a PTSD thing. It's not a same old lion's thing. It's just guys, remember what we're walking into this year. It is super bowl or bust. Don't take your eyes off that everybody. It is. But guess what? To do that, you have to be fortunate to a degree. You just do because this is a league with a lot of good teams, right? Now the chiefs are kind of the lord, lording over everyone, but there are a lot of good teams. What separates those teams? It's a very fine line. The ones that stay healthy usually are the ones that are better. And I think that it's because, right? Look at what's happened so far. You lose Kaminsky, who is, I would say, an integral player. He's an NFL player. NFL part, you know, like depth guy that you need, that you were looking towards making some plays. And now Jameer Gibbs. So if you go around the NFL, you'll see that other teams at this point in preseason are losing guys too. It's just how do we adjust? To me, I'm always like, my theory is if it's going to happen, Neil, I want it to happen sooner than later, right? So that we can get into it. So right now they're trying to figure out how they're going to operate without Jameer Gibbs. And guys, remember too, I'm not coming from this, and we've had this discussion before. We had a boss back in our ESPN days, DMACC, that always talked about in this business. You sell hope or you sell fear, one of the two. I don't do that shit. Like, I just talk like a fan because I'm a fan watching the games like you guys are. It's just, and I don't, and I'm not saying like, this is the end. I'm not saying, oh my God, it's over. I'm not saying any of that. I just don't like the vibes I'm getting, DMACC. Is that fair? I don't like the vibes. Is it because you have starters going down? Like what vibes don't you like? It's just that there's too many. You know what I'm saying? And like, okay, so three dudes go down. For real. What are the chances that one of them's going to be an issue going forward a little bit to some degree? Pretty high, right? Like one of the three? But you were yet, no, but again, but you were always going to be here. Why is it always number one that you're worried about? Like, you know you have the team, there's one thing to have the team that you want put together, but then that's why I always number one in the NFL is being staying healthy. It's always staying healthy. So Neil, but here's the thing, do you think the conversation because people are worried because our starters are going down, that may be inside Allen Park, that's a conversation with the coaches, should we do stuff different? Are we losing guys? Is it because of our preparation? Yes. I believe that conversation, whether they come to the end to say, yes, what we're doing is causing it or it's not, but the conversation is being had. Responsibility is there. So as I guess it's just one of these things, through the rest of the training camp, you have to watch. If it continues to be an issue and guys keep going down, I mean, then, you know, somebody tells you got a tail, you can tell them, you know, no way, but they tell you twice, they tell you three times, you're gonna have to look. You know what, man? There are a few things in sports that I hate more than the NFL preseason. I hate it. Just play 18 games. Is this even more so now that we say two exhibition games go to 18, pay the guys more, put in an extra bus, put in an extra bye week. And because of this, right, where we say that, so then it'd be a lot easier to accept because boom, we're going to go into it, maybe you would prepare differently. So I think that this conversation also, Neil, is sooner than later, right? I think that that's almost a no-brainer to implement and maybe not next season but in two years. Yeah. No, and it is. It's just I hate the NFL preseason because it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Nothing positive ever comes out of it. It's only relief. Like there's no achievement in the preseason and we've bought the marketing ploy, right? Like when you talk to fans and some of you will reach out on social media, have a quick combo with people, like people will say, "Well, you know, the jobs are online in the preseason games." No, they're not. No, they're not. They know they are leaning more from practice than they are from up preseason. You know what I've learned in this new NFL? It's those practices against the other NFL teams. When you get together and you can hit and I know that, you know, against the Giants there's a lot of fights to take away from the play on the field, but that's where, that's the true exhibition game. That's when you see different things, right? The only value is picking the rest of your roster, right? Number 46 to 53 who are the guys that are going to make your team an exhibition. So I firmly believe over in the 24th season, hopefully by the 26th season you'll see changes made. What's changed to what you're saying, Neil, because of the injuries, it's always rest and it's always, they need that extra buy week more than anything. Kiazzi, the adversity co-worker self-out to be a blessing in disguise, relaxed guys. I'm actually not worried this is why Brad Holmes draft's death. I'm trusting in Holmes. And key like, look, don't misunderstand, as am I, it's proven. Brad Holmes resume is impeccable in terms of drafting and acquiring talent and changing the face of an organization. It's impeccable. Again, guys, like, I'm not saying it's over. I'm saying, I don't like the vibes, but then again, to be fair, I've always hated the vibes in pre-season. I hate NFL pre-season. I hate it. Do you ever notice, nothing good, tell me something good that's ever happened in pre-season. Tom Kennedy. Okay, now tell me all the bad things that have happened, like, you know what I'm saying? That list is way longer. It's way longer. So that is, that's it. Chuck, Neil, overreaction. I'm talking through it with you guys. Players get hurt whether it's pre-season or practice. They have to ramp up their game, period. I want to talk about that when we come back. In DMACC, I'm glad you're here. Because I'll pull in the guy that played professional sports that's sitting in the room right now, and pick his brain on it. Because I do, I have noticed that there's different ways that different teams go about it. So I do want to discuss that when we come back. How about Lady Jane's DMACC? Absolutely. Lady Jane's haircuts run where you walk in, you sit down, you relax, you let one of the talented stylists make you look and feel great. Hot leather, neck massage, spendy, absolutely you get it. That's Lady Jane's walking any time. It's wicked awesome. So just to get the heat of steering wheel, I also had to spring for the bigger rims. Yeah, that's how they get you. The Lions still have a leek quarterback, Girogoff, to carry them off for MVP. And look, every team's in that boat. The QB is, you know, that's a non-negotiable. What's understood doesn't have to be explained. People talking about how Broder looks like Dr. Pierce. Come on now, everybody. That is not true. That's crazy. Dr. Pierce, way better looking than Broder. Hey, how about this? Broder looks like Inspector Gadget. How about this one? Chuck Burns sort of hits it on the head, right? When you have a good organization, you worry about injuries, you're in your season instead of the owners who never let the season start, right? So that's why it's different, too, because you're right in the middle of it. You're legitimately a Super Bowl contender, because that's what the Kansas City is in the San Francisco. They're all worried about injuries, not their talent or not their draft. They have their system in place. And that's a great segue, D-Mek, because that's why I want to talk about DNC ENT, says Neil doesn't like preseason, doesn't like joint practices. Dude wants him to just roll out a ball and say, go get it, boys, week one. No DNC ENT. Here's where it is right now, for me. This isn't the Lions of Old. This is why this is not a Lions PTSD thing. Do you think Jaragoff knows where he needs to be to play a season? I think he does. 100 million percent. I think he does. I think Penne Sewell's deep enough in this league. I trust Penne Sewell to know where he's got to be. I trust Taylor Deckard in over, he's got to be. Amman Ross St. Brom. This is where I'm driving at here. He does kind of look like strong. He looks like Inspector Gadget, doesn't he? Can we get a broader shot? Yeah, let me try a fine one. He does kind of look like him. But D-Mek, the point I'm driving at is this. Like in Kansas City, Patrick Mahomes has said, I do not like the joint practices. We are not doing them. I will play a quarter of a preseason game, which I think is going to be this week, a matter of fact that he plays. So for me, D-Mek, it's pretty simple in that respect. And this is where I go to you. By the time you were five years in the league, now it's different when you're a rook and you're trying to find your way and carve out your place. But D-Mek, for you, when you were five years in the league and you're with this team that the expectation is a championship, anything else is a bust, anything else is a discipline. He does look like Broder. He told you. I love that we got a shot of Broder on the mound at Michigan by the way. He struck out George Springer. That's right. Shout out. Shout out to Inspector Gadget. But D-Mek, what I'm driving at here is you know this environment. You know where they are right now. You know when it's championship or bust. In the preseason, you knew where you had to be. That's my point. You gotta get yourself ready. What did it take for D-Mek to be ready for the season? Yeah, I mean, as far as hockey is different because you have nine exhibitions. So as you get into it, but again, it's more seen the younger guys. So if there's nine exhibition games, right, I would play five. So half of them. Like probably half of them. And I'd probably want to get in a couple fights, right, or throw the body around, see where I'm at. You know, it's all about feeling good. Like with the hockey season, because of God's, it's about maintenance. So you want to come in in the best shape that you can be. For me, it was conditioning-wise. It's why it boxed all summer long, and it just was to get your skating legs, right? The same thing is getting your practice legs or your ring shape or whatever like that. You can't do it unless you compete. So it's more in hockey when you're five years in or whatever. You want to get your timing. And as the pace of play goes up, it doesn't matter how many times you skate the off-season, even with NHL guys or whatever, the intensity draws up. Because when you skate in the summertime, you're not physical. You don't throw the body around or something like that. You literally just get- You've got to get back in. You've got to break some calluses. You've got to throw the body around. So it's just looking to get ready. And for me, it was, you know, when you're younger and have to prove yourself, you've got to throw it out there all the time, right? Now it's going out. It's different. I'm playing. It's just preparing. So if I'm looking at the schedule, and I know that we, you know, we start off with Dallas or Toronto or somebody, and you're looking at, okay, I'm probably going to fight this guy or fight this guy, you know what, then you'll save it. When you're younger and you don't have that opportunity, you've got to, you know, go out and make a name for yourself. So everybody's trying to do it, but mostly in hot, it's just getting to the speed of the game, getting your brain up to the puck, moving quicker, quicker, quicker. It doesn't matter. When you go out on the ice, it'll always seem faster, but just in the intensity of the game. So that's what these guys, right? It's timing. I mean, you see how pretty you've been down at a field level, like the game on TV does not give the football game at field level, how fast it is. And it's split seconds here, there, everywhere, you know, in professional sports. So that's what it is. It's just getting your brain up to that speed. MG 20, what's the latest in Gibbs? I'm just joining the show. They have not said yet, right? Hamstring. I mean, but they haven't, they haven't like had a press conference or address the media. They do that tomorrow, I believe, right? Dan Campbell speaks to the media tomorrow. So we'll probably know a little more tomorrow. But yeah, it is. It's just, I just, I don't like the preseason. I never have, I know everybody loses their shit about it and gets excited about it. I hate it. I flat out hate it as a fan. Nothing good seems to happen. It's just, again, I think these dudes know they're far enough along, and that's where we are like it, like as a team right now. I'm obviously going to trust what Dan Campbell does. You have to. You have to trust what he says. He even said that. Going back to the hard knocks last year, he's like, "Men, trust me. I'm asking you to trust me," which, implicitly, I trust him, trust Brad Holmes, all of that. But with that being said, man, I just want this shit to be over with. I just want the preseason to be over with, man, and we can, we can roll out. The bean, the real challenge will not come from the other 31 teams. So much to be avoiding and overcoming injuries just a few weeks ago with the deepest team in the league, and now we're thin, and, you know, I don't know, I don't know, just because we don't know the extent of everything, like, thin is a bit aggressive, I think. DNC, Neil, you're acting like all 53 act like the top seven players. I trust the top seven. I don't trust Broderick, Martyn, and Taryon Arnold to show up and be ready. I said, "It's different for the rooks. It is different for the rookies." I did say that. They don't know. They don't know how to be ready for NFL season because they haven't gone through it yet. And it takes you, you got to, it's a, you got to learn. As you learn your size, it's like life to, as a professional athlete, to what you need. Some guys need to do more. Some guys need to do less. You know, some guys need to spend more time in the training room. I think that the big thing nowadays, you know, with health and wellness and especially in athletics and stuff like that is, is there's everything at the disposal. So you got it. You got to use that. For us, you know, it's slappin' aspirin and an ice pack on it and see you tomorrow, right? Uh, Tyler, Em, Neil, you're telling me you're not pumped to watch Jake from play? Um, yeah, holy excited. And like, people are going to hang on what happens. That's the thing that's wild to me is people are going to hang on what happens with what Jake from does. And they'll say, if it, when it doesn't go well, they'll say, well, the offense didn't look good. Well, no, of course it's not going to look good. That's like the Nate Suddfelt thing. And speaking of the Suddfelt thing, DMACC, I thought about you the other day because people were, because I was amazed and amored. We talked about it on the show Friday. His lion's Twitter was in mid-season form and Nate Suddfelt on Thursday night. He's bummed. See, he's spent, he's loose. He's ready to go. He's ready to go somewhere else. But it's not going to happen. Kill him. Because DMACC, you said this about golf, you tried to, you tried to educate the people about golf. There's an angle of this with Nate Suddfelt. Guys, he's not going anywhere. The room loves him. The guys in the locker room love him. The management love him. Because if Nate Suddfelt's playing, you know that it's over anyway. So with that being said, his role on this team is deeper than you know DMACC. For the third, fifth, 100 time, explain that to the people. No, I mean, absolutely, when you did say, and Lorena, I'm with you, you said Nate Suddfelt and me, what do you got going on there? But everybody in that organization does not want him to get on the field. His value to that team is obviously in the locker room and, you know, Monday to Saturday in preparation or what they like, sort of apropos, you know, to have in a backup. But there's obviously a great, see, it's a great relationship, it's almost like a caddy and a golfer, right? So Suddfelt and Gough have to have this relationship with this communication. So Suddfelt, obviously, they feel gets Gough to play his best game or Gough likes backup. Now we're, no, absolutely, I watched that, I watched that exhibition game and went exactly what I said and when I sat here the day of it, I need to see if our guy goes down. Do we have a feasible or serviceable backup? And we don't. So hence why you sign a Jake From or why the Lions organization is aware of this too. But the fact is that Suddfelt ain't going anywhere, whether it be your third or not, because of what he means to this team and practice in the locker room and stuff like that. So don't get it twisted. None of us want to see him on the field. So Spenny, I guess that's more of a PSA for you and your people, Spenny. Don't use your energy. Don't use your energy, Spenny. Use energy on those skunks. Use energy on those skunks. I'll try a skunk and give it to Suddfelt. Use your energy. You guys going canoeing shit this weekend? - Tubin. - Tubin. - Tubin. - Use your energy doing that. - Oh, I will. I got a half gallon of Casa Migos from Styx Wedding, ready to go. - Oh, yes. - You are a Casa Migos policy. - Oh, I love it. I love it. I'm a Don Julio guy at heart, but Casa Migos, I've nothing wrong with that. - How much in a day, Spenny? - When I went up north. - On a tubing day. - When I went up north the last time, the day before we went tubing, I drank like three quarters of that half gallon. I woke up the next day, I was like, Jesus Christ. So, yeah. - How old are you, Spenny? - 27. - Okay. So you haven't quite. - Oh, I felt like dog shit the next day. - Okay. That's what I was driving at. Okay. That's what I, but you rallied. - I rallied, for sure. Yeah. - See, you're still in the night. - You still got Riley in them. - Yeah. - You can see like that's the thing. - Still got Riley in them. - He's not young. - Dog shit, Riley. - He's not young. Like you can do whatever you want to yourself and it doesn't matter. You wake up the next morning ready to go. I'm talking about like to be able to rally. Yeah. He's got about a three to. - Depending on. - You can already sense it in him, that, ooh, it's getting a little bit taller. - He's, oh yeah. I feel the precursors for sure. - Yeah. He's aware. Let's just say he's aware. That's really a thing. Anytime somebody puts this in the chat, I'm going to stop what I'm doing and read it, read it the ski mask boy, 91 to the rafters. We got KG, we got Young Justin, we also have Spencer Raxter, and all of you in the Woodward Sports, Chad, Thread, Marked Royal, Barry, and Calvin, quit. Okay. Okay. That shit triggers me when people talk devil shit right there, so. But anyway, we're not gonna go for that today. Mike G, DMACC, better Russian NHLer, Sergei or Pavo? Sergei. Sergei. Don't. Package. Sergei. This is good for players, sir. I don't even care about that. Sergei KK, literally, I don't know if you want to cut plan defense. Yeah. Fuck it. He's the best defenseman in the NFL, stop it. When you say it out loud, dude, sounds stupid. That's ridiculous. Like your eyeliner. At an elite level. Yeah. Like if he played... How good of a defenseman was he in the league? He would have been, he could have been an all-star. No, no. Wow. Good was he that year. How good was he? Rank him in the league. Yeah. I mean, dude, he's on a top pair. Yeah. Yeah. He's arguably just the way that he's used, the way that you can use him in any situation tells you. He's one of the great top to bottom, one of the greatest hockey players of all time. I believe. Especially talent. Let me... Let's go to the guy who played in the NHL. Especially, like, unmitigated talent. Speed. And that's... You know, the one thing is, like with Sergei, I always say, like, Mario the point had a heavy shot. We saw him rip Patrick Ross' glove off, right? Like heavy. Like, you get hit with that and it's like, oh, and it hurts. Burgercase, it was just, like, a laser, right? It'd be like this. Like, if you got hit with it, it'd be like, "Tink," and it'd be like, "Oh, what's up?" But when it left his stick, back in that note, passing, whatever, like this, as smooth as you get. And I found out, Neil, you know why? It wasn't I couldn't get the white skates. They were available to me, but I wasn't fast enough. You had to go a certain speed to be able to wear the white skates. It's funny. I've heard coaches tell me that before, a good soccer coach, buddy of mine, Eric Pogue, told me one time, he's like, "The kids with the white cleats? If you wear white cleats out there, you better be good." You better be, like, elite. You better be high level. Oh, 100%. You will get ripped apart. The only way that you can wear those is if you wear two points per game. 100%. Straight up. You got to be nasty. And like you said, DMAT, give me 13, Selkie, baby. Sergey got those too. Sort of, sort of, yeah. And Lee, I mean, it's the, it's the generation, it's the time and sort of air, era that they play. And they were different players. Sergey's like the Lamborghini sports car, Pavels, more of the Land Rover, you know, Range Rover sort of thing, all purpose. I will say, though, I do think Pavel Datsu could play defense. Yes. Maybe not even an elite. Could he be a top 10 defense in the NHL? Maybe not. Did that lead to the level? Do you see Pavel over the backwards? Yeah. You did? Yeah. Well, not very often. Not very often. No, no, no. Be always, like, as the Selkie, but those guys go forward. What I'm saying is Sergey Fedoroff was as an elite backwards skater, transition, whatever like that. Yeah. I don't think he'd be as, you know, as the star that he was playing center. I don't think he could be the star that he was, but I think that he would be more than a serviceable defenseman. I think- Oh, of course he was because he's elite talent, but it's more to the puck possession. Guys fending off than he is go end to end like Sergey would or, you know, do a quick turn. Boom. Give and go. And then he's gone up the ice. Where you have to, you always had to keep accountability. It made it into more of a 41 offense or a one, a one, one, three, where he was more like the hybrid. It's just got to be able to skate. Pab doesn't get enough credit for being elite in the corners as well. He was- What are you talking about? He doesn't get enough credit. He's the biggest thief there is as far as pickpocket stealing guys come out of the corner. I used to tell you guys that we play keep away after practice and I get kicked off the ice for tackling them all the time because he's kicking the puck. Wilbert Sports, chat thread, the Hattrick Hockey Podcast, do you reckon today is a matter of that? I showed out to Tony the toolbox over in Windsor, check them out. Good guys. They do it right, obviously talking hockey, it keeps me into the Essex County and what's going on locally and stuff like that, so shot out a great day with the best. They chimed in, 91 got Norris votes. I never knew he got votes for the Norris trophy, I forgot that. We had a question yesterday actually too. That blows my mind. Right. Who do you, who, and I don't know if it's who would you expect, but somebody brought up, Trista brought up the fact that he thinks that Brendan Shanahan will be back in the organization and I looked at him and I said, "Dude, I said, who do you think will be back first?" Danny, Sergei, or Igor. Not that I know anything, but I mean just the trend, the trend on that. Fied to bed it. See, I'm, I, I, did I, and maybe it's wishful thinking or whatever, but I think it's Sergei. Oh, do you, I don't do that to me. I'm not, I'm just, I'm just doing that to you because I want to, I want to cheer you up because the lines are bringing you down. I want to cheer you up, but, but, I'm, they're not bringing me down. It's just, I'm concerned and then you got to go be a dick like that. That wasn't a dick. You did that for you. You didn't do it for me. And then like, look at you, play Kate to the camera, you're like, "I'm doing this for you." And then you lie about it. You're doing it for yourself. But I'm doing it for you because I'm throwing it in the universe and you know how powerful I have connections with the, with the universe. So, I would be interesting, but yeah. Don't do it with me, don't tell you it. You got both of the Norris Trophy, man. Which is the best defense. I'll tell you this in, I know like we're in the throes of football. It will be like a good summertime discussion. As great as he is, I still think that Sergei Fedoroff is the most underrated Detroit athlete ever. Most underrated Detroit athlete ever by the fans. Completely fair. In today's day and age. Like talent wise? Just, they don't, I don't think that Detroit appreciates Sergei Fedoroff enough for what he would. But they comprehend what an incredible talent he was. They definitely don't. You have to be hockey lead to know that. The dude won the MVP. I understand. The league MVP. The dude got votes for the Norris Trophy. But he doesn't get talked about like that. I know. And I'll never understand why. Like this town should riot that his number is not retired. They should. He 100% deserves it. Norris Trophy votes MVP 100% should be enough. So Terasenko did not take 91 by the way. Number 10. I looked it up. I know we talked about that earlier. It's not tired. What? Isn't 10 retired? Del Vecchio? I don't know, it is, isn't it? I would have took 10, but it was fucking in the rafters. God damn it. Do you want this guy to get it? Come on. What do we do it? See it's interesting. And this wasn't planned or anything like this. So here in the chat, John Fisher says people were mad, Sergei left, and then two messages down keys to wisdom. No way, Neil. Federal office revered. I don't think he is. No, I think to the point, here's the thing, the way he left, the way he left always it's that there's a loyalty and a hometown thing that it rubbed a lot of people the wrong way that and this isn't, Neil, this isn't a questionable separating sports and business and anything like that because some people don't care. It's just the way that when you're this guy and you're our guy and then you sort of leave with, you know, like I left it. For me, it was different because the salary cap of the contract, I got bought out and I was asked to leave and he's the wisdom. Federal of also gets major and a court of credit, which many hell yeah, 100% bag top tier that puts you up on my book for sure. I guess what Derek Jeter's up there. Derek Jeter's rotation is insane. Jeter's a legend because he gave away gift bags. That's true. That's just that's true. That's just legend. Here's your goal. Here's your goal. Here's your goal. Thanks for coming. Mike G said, "Terra Sinkle got 11." Thank you. Yeah. See, we're gonna heat up that to the Dean a number. There we go. Yep. There's a lot of goals left in that jersey. Yeah. Filling up other people's nets that I was hoping they weren't given away retired jerseys. Yeah. I would have been pissed. That means I could have got tagged controversy. That means that 91 is getting retired this year. I'm seeing three different numbers on different websites. I don't think they actually know what number he's using. Maybe we can ask Danielle Bruce when she comes on. There you go. I don't know if that's her lane. You know, like that's her. If she's heard. If she's heard. If that's a media person, they would have heard. Yeah. That is true. All right, Danielle, if you're watching, be ready. Wilbert's sports chat thread, Patrick, Stevie or Fedoroff, if you can only pick one on the ice, power play, two minutes left in the game. Fedoroff. Isemann vs. Fedoroff? Isemann or Fedoroff? I'm taking Fedoroff. Yeah, Fedoroff is a power play. You have to because of what he can do. Yeah. You know, like I was telling yesterday, like the great, like as many, because I was asked about Fedoroff's heart trophy my first year, 93, 94, when Stevie got hurt and Sergey was the greatest player till, unfortunately, got a concussion with Sean Burran and him rest his soul and Vancouver was in the same, but the greatest performance and it worked out for us was in the 98 season that he didn't come back to February because that Washington series was the Sergey Fedoroff show. That's all it is. You know, coming down to it back to back two years and, you know, long season, stuff like that, we needed somebody to carry us and that was him, you know, especially game three and four. No, no, I mean, he was, he was incredible and I just, I think he gets undervalued in this town and I think Red Wings fans should be pissed that the 91 is not retired and it needs to be because he's one of the great, he's one of the great hockey players of all time in the NHL. And if everyone, everyone says, oh, how can you say that, then you don't know? Then you don't know ball, right? Right, Spenny? Don't know puck. You don't, you don't know puck. Absolutely. All right. Thank you. You guys know what it is, the very best gym in the gym game. There's over 50 Planet Fitnesses, this is in the Metro Detroit area. There's over 2,600 of them worldwide. All right. Pulling up hour number two. Big D Energy. Woodward Sports Network. First, I'll recover the Lions injury situation in preseason. I hate preseason. We talked about that. I had DMACC calm me down a little bit. We tried to calm everybody down about the Nate Sudfeld stuff, so that's out there as well. Neil Rule. DMACC Darren McCarty here in the building. We got Young Justin, KG Spencer, Raxter, all of you in the Woodward Sports, chat thread, and here in the chat, Tim Penel says, Sergey Fedoff's a Scotty Pippin of the NHL. Tim, that's absurd, Joe. Like maybe if Scotty Pippin ever won, you know, the League MVP. Like Steve Eiserman goes down to injury and Sergey wins the League MVP. Got votes for the Norris Trophy as a defenseman, Sergey, he's absurd and he's underappreciated in this town, and until his number is retired, it's blasphemous that his number is not retired. But anyway, we're moving on. By the way, did you guys hear the Noah Lyles Tyree kill deal that's going on? Noah Lyles won the 100 meter dash in the Olympics, you know, the American that won the 100 meter dash gold medal. And I haven't caught up, but this is more spendy's lane, like drama stuff. Have you seen any of the spendy with him on social media and all that kind of stuff? Yeah, he's a dork. Why? I don't know, I think he's just really insecure and he's really just mad that people only care about him once every four years, and so he throws shots at other professional athletes for some reason. Okay, so that's the gist of me, which is about what I think. He said Super Bowl champions aren't world champions. Okay. So anyway, Tyree kill pipe piped up DMACC, he said he could beat him in a sprint. I love it. You know what? They need to do this. Would you watch Noah Lyles in a 100 meter dash against Tyree kill? There is not a person in the world that wouldn't watch. I would watch that for sure. Would you watch that DMACC? Yeah, 100%. I love the fact that she'd come out and said that. I feel like no Lyles won't do it, though, because he has nothing to gain from. He's got only to lose, yeah. But if you're saying about guy who craves attention ever already for years, then I think that he's not the brightest, then he will do it. That's fair. He's legal. He should. And it's just for me, does anybody else think that Tyree kill could win? I don't think so. I don't know, Tyree kills fast, he's extremely fast, but I don't know if he's fastest man in the world fast. Try it in the Olympic trials and didn't make it, so I mean, that would be really tough. I really do think Noah Lyles is just salty because he came in third in his best event that he owns for the last couple of years. And said he had COVID and then was partying in the couple of two days later, making excuses. Honestly, that's so bitch made straight up, like don't cop out after talking. He was talking shit the entire way up to the Olympics, like he was gonna win, he was gonna dominate, and then he goes out there and takes a shit. And then he's like, "Oh, I have COVID, I'm having excuses." Like, go and just take your bronze medal and leave us alone. Like, stop dissing on other sports that have, like US owns football, like there's no other country that even remotely plays the sport at a level that we do. So he wants to be famous really bad. Yeah. He's really bad. Like he is famous. But he should do it. Yeah. He should do it. Nick Haddagen, our resident running insider, man did the Baltimore Marathon and Detroit Free Press Marathon back-to-back days. Shout out. Shout out. Shout out. He says I wouldn't know what would crush Hill. It's silly. He would. He would definitely win, for sure. But he wouldn't crush him. Well, when you're with your dad. And Tyree Kill would route his pussy ass up. I'll tell you that. That's what I'm saying. Like, could he, could he like mess with him mentally? You know what I'm saying? Maybe. Like, that's the little game within a game stuff. I would, I would, I would, I would love to see it, man. I would love to, I would love to see that. That would be so electric. The 100 meter dash is fun. The thing that pissed me off the most about Noah Liles is when he said an average human is closer to LeBron than they are to him. And that's just not true. That's just blatantly fast. The average human is closer to the 6'9", 250 pound. Who also runs a 4'3" and has a 45" vertical like, and has been in his prime for 20 years. Arguably the greatest physical specimen in the world is ever seen. Yeah. How tall is Noah Liles? I'm curious. And NBA is all skill. All skill. No doubt, NBA is the most under appreciated professional. They are the best athletes in the world. They're the biggest, they're fastest and they jump the highest. And they run the longest. Yeah. And it's just a constant sprint up and down the court. Right. Like, and the hockey, the hockey dudes are, hockey dudes are probably the most in shape athletes. Yes. Because they play for a minute. Or soccer. And they're spent. Yeah. Well, the soccer guys get like periods to rest. Yeah. Like the hockey dudes, you don't get that. You know, it's just 120% the whole time you're out there the whole time you're on the ice. Yeah. You see these guys too, man, like, DMEC, what's, what's the most, what's the most spent you've ever been at the end of a shift? Oh, dude, the most spent, no, you get in a two minute fight. You get out, like, men of fight, that's the most spent, like, like for real, okay. So more than a shift. Yeah. Like, yeah, because I've had some minute and a half, two minute fights and that's the ski mass boy. They do not sprint up and down the court. You haven't been to an NBA game, man. But after it all depends, like, usually you get caught out. A lot of them are like PK shifts. That's what I was going to say. For me, it's the penalty kill. I'll tell you the worst thing, Neil, is like, in a PK or something like this, and you can't get out of your end, but you end up, like, blocking, you block a shot, boom, off the foot, stays in the zone. You can't go off the ice, you got to stay in there, boom, you got to go down again. You block, like, two shots of your ankle, certain you take one off the other side and you just, you're, you're, like, hobble and trying to get it, but the puck won't get out and you can't go because a bench is too far away in No Man's Land, like, that's the worst feeling. I had a five minute, five on three that I had to be out there for three minutes straight, and I think that was the most tired I've ever been in a hockey game. If you asked me off top my head, like, that five on three, that Zetterberg was a Rafalski in Lidstrom or whatever killed in '08 against Pittsburgh or whatever, like, that's as tired as I've ever seen, like, Z. But those guys, they're true pros. It's usually the recovery, though, right? So when you're in good hockey shape, the fact that when you sit down in the back, you're already starting to recover to get it back, to get it back in, but, yeah, you can, anybody who's skated or ever been bag-skated or whatever, they're, they're, it's tough because it's, it's that win, right, Neil? You know, and you're a runner, so you know, when you get to the next gear and you're good, but then you push past it and it's like that, oh, I went too far. All hundred percent? Yeah. That's the, that's what it feels like until you can catch breath. But I, uh, see, I, I drank some malt, so, you know, I, I don't always sneak off first. That's their responsibility. Yeah. I'll make sure that, I'll make sure they don't die and then you make sure the puck gets out and I'll get off. No, but spending your right, man, like, it is so wild to me and I, and I'll kind of give you a personal story about that. Like, for him to say that, like, the average person is closer to LeBron than him. Yeah. Um, before DMACC and I work together, we played in some of the same softball leagues. Mm-hmm. And DMACC, you are, you are self, self-professed, not a fast guy in the NHL, right? No. Yeah. Or I would have had the white skates. Not a fast guy in the NHL. If he hit the ball on the ground and it bounced twice, he was safe to first. It was, it was incredible. Yeah. It's, to this day, it's one of the more when you're competing out there, you know, with your beer league people and here in walks DMACC and he hits a ball on the ground and the speed from the batter's box to first was something to this day I'd never seen. You know, cause we're all washed up. Regular humans. Regular, regular dudes. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like washed up has been the speed in which he ran to first for a guy who was not fast in his game. Was not fast. Yeah. It was unbelievable. Yeah. These guys like him and Braylon, it doesn't make sense. Like, I remember Braylon, he was showing me how he used to break a press out in the bag and he was like, put your hands like, like press me off the line. I was like, all right. And I did it. And he just like went like that to break and he bruised my arm. Yeah. But he didn't, you know, he was even trying. He's just, these guys are just different humans. The physical specimen that Braylon Edwards is. Yeah. I know. Braylon was a freaking nature amongst freaking. Here's the thing. I'm a better runner than I'm, I'm a faster runner than I'm a skater. Yeah. I mean, no, seriously, like I could get down the line and, you know, back in the day, like that's what you used to. I'm not a distance guy, but I could keep up with drapes for, you know, 100, 150, whatever like this, pull up my, my, my gas tank runs out before, before the town, Wilson, one in the sport, Wilbur sports shed says there's more NFL players that would play in the NBA than vice versa. I wholeheartedly disagree with that. The NBA is full of tight ends. It is all skill too, it's, if you can't shoot at an extremely high level, you cannot play in the NBA, i.e. Killian Hayes, like come on, Killian Hayes could play wide receiver pretty, pretty, pretty way easy way more easily than a NFL guy could come in and play point guard in the NBA there. I'd agree with that. Like LeBron James would have been the best wide receiver in the history of the NFL if he would have played an NFL, it would have been insane. He could have. He's six eight. Like he, we think of Calvin Johnson as one of the biggest physical freaks in the history of the NBA, of the NFL, he'd be a shooting guard in the NBA. I know. It's different. That's a crazy comparison. People don't understand it. No allows a great athlete, but he has no specimen at 5'11" and 1'54". That's all, that's all, as much as I weigh, at 5'9", like what are we talking about? Yeah. All right, let's do this then. Let's take the break when we come back. We'll be joined by Daniela Bruce of the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers as well. We'll talk some puck as a matter of fact and we got off on that little Fedoroff tangent just to get things going. As well, it's time to catch up with our good friend, friend of the show, Daniela Bruce to talk some Detroit Red Wings, maybe some Detroit Tigers, but probably won't go down that row. But Daniela, good to see you again. How are you? It's good to see you guys. I'm doing really well. I can't believe that summer is coming to an end already and we're gearing up for football in hockey. But I'm good. How are you guys? How's it going? We're great. Neil, before you get started, I got to ask. How's Charlie doing? I haven't seen Charlie updates lately and stuff like that. Quiring minds want to know, Danny, how's the dog? Where's the dog? Where's Charlie? She's great. But I actually put her outside so I could do this. All right. Kind of annoying today. So I'm like, you know what, go sit in the sun for a little while. I'll come get you what I'm done. You post a picture later for all of us that are wondering, all right, perfect. Now back to business. Now back to business. Oh, but Daniela, I appreciate your time. Of course, the Tigers and Red Wings broadcast reporter. And I also wanted to remind you guys as well, single game tickets went on sale at Detroitredwings.com yesterday for the season. And Daniela, I guess I want to start right there. The Red Wings last season, one of the more incredible stats to me. They were one of only four teams in the NHL that averaged over 19,000 fans per game. Do again, Daniela, I mean, the fan support. This is hockey town. Make no mistake. You're there every every game more or less. That environment at LCA, the Red Wings are back, aren't they? I think so. And I think this is hockey town for a reason, right? Everybody in Detroit loves to have a great hockey team and we're seeing some of that come to fruition with the steps that this team took last year. I truly do think this year is going to be the year of the young players, right? We're going to see which guys fit in where, like the Jonathan Bergrens, Albert Johansson, maybe even a Nate Danielson, maybe a Marco Casper or Carter Maes or these names that we've been hearing for so long, I think it's time to start seeing them mix their way into this lineup. And it's going to be an even more exciting year. And Patrick Kane returning is going to obviously get everyone a little amped up for the beginning of the season. I think it's going to be great again. But that run, especially at the end of the season where the Red Wings were fighting for a playoff spot, the way that Detroit showed up and packed that building every night was absolutely electric. I can't imagine what a playoff game is going to be like, and I can't wait to see it. Daniela, you just, you did something physically to spend either. Like he let out a Yelp and then look, like the people, the young movement, this was always going to, like, let's just get into it, Daniel. For the people that were upset about the playoff thing, this was always going to be the play, right? With Steve Eiserman, this was always going to be the angle. He is going to start that process right now. DMACC said it best, like Steve Eiserman is going to do things on his schedule, not your schedule, not my schedule, not spending schedule. He's going to do it on his schedule. Yeah. And I mean, we should trust him to do that. He built a great team in Tampa and that doesn't mean that there won't be trades and signings and things that he does along the way to help this team improve. But the main focus is drafting players and developing them. And the Red Wings have some great players in their system right now. The way that Albert Johansson played in Grand Rapids last season, he was kind of the quiet guy because you had Simon Edvinson and everybody's attention was on Simon until he officially got the call up to Detroit. And now Albert Johansson is great on the blue line. Jonathan Bergeron's a big name and he spent a lot of time in the AHL, but guess what? He would have to clear waivers to go back to Grand Rapids this year. So he's going to get his opportunities here and then that's the same with Albert. So I really think you're going to start to see some of that mix into this and you're expecting Simon Edvinson to take a step forward. You're expecting most cider to take another step forward. Lucas Raymond, that's going to be a huge key for this team. Can he sustain what he did at the end of the year? He put the team on his back for the time that Dylan Larkin wasn't able to play. So there's a lot of things to be excited about. There's still some questions to be answered. I know everyone's wondering what's going to happen at the goaltender position. I'm also still wondering, feels like there's some big question marks and there might still be some holes to be filled, but you should be excited about some of the new guys that we've been hearing about for years now getting their opportunities to. I think that that's right and you mentioned some of the moves that were made. A quick question Vladimir Teresenko signed in the off season, have they given him a number yet? Has he chosen a jersey number that you know of? I hate to say I don't think so, but I don't know for sure. We're up in the air because obviously we're wondering would he get 91. And then somebody, I'm not going to sell them out or whatever, it was Jesus. He said 10 and I said that's retired or I would have had it. So then he was saying 11, so coming from you, you don't think so and it's probably not that way, but I guess the Teresenko veteran signing, you mentioned goal attending Cam Talbot, two big names coming in and obviously I think you answered the question as far as Steve Eiserman likes what he's got on in his in the Red Wing organization more than he likes what's out there to go pay for. So given these guys an opportunity, elephant in the room, Ken Cal came up to me and asked me this yesterday. So I'm throwing it on you. What's going on with the Shider and Raymond deals? Are we getting them done? Wait, what's going on D? Can you tell me like do I have to be worried? That's not for me. That's from Kalsinski because I know okay, so you tell me tell me nobody come after me for this. This is my thought. Okay. It's going to happen. It's completely shocked if they don't have extensions soon, but I think people forget that this this can be a complicated thing, especially when you're handing out long term deals that are going to be kind of expensive, right? These guys are going to get paid. So I'm sure there's a lot that's going into it, a lot that they're thinking about, a lot that the players want done, a lot that Steve Eiserman wants done, but it's been said on both sides, they want to get a deal done. They're going to get a deal done, but they're big contracts and the NHL is a hard cap lead. So it's Steve's going to have to be careful in what he does and the flexibility that he's going to have to build a really good team down the road. And those guys are looking out for themselves too. So I think it will get done. I think that I have full confidence that they will be Red Wings for a long time, both of them. But there's just a lot that has to be worked out. It's not something where you just automatically are signing your name and it's a done deal and we can just move on. I think it's important to both sides that they get it right. Tigers and Red Wings broadcast reporter Dan Yellow Bruce, our guest here talking to Troy Red Wings. And again, single game tickets win on sale yesterday, DetroitRed Wings.com, 22 weekend games this year, five on Friday nights, 10 on Saturday nights, seven on Sundays. They will host nine games against original six rivals as well. So make sure you get to DetroitRed Wings.com, get those tickets because as we just talked about, Red Wings, one of only four teams to average over 19,000 fans per game, which I didn't know that. It blew me away when I read that stat. But training camp, Daniela, what are you looking for? So you do the work for me, Daniela, because I specialize in that, having other people do the work for me. So you tell me, what am I looking for at training camp? What do I need to see? I'm going to be watching a couple of things and I've talked about both of them so far. One of them is Patrick Kane, which is an obvious one. He's a veteran. So training camp is a little bit different for guys like that. But the exciting thing about Patrick Kane this year is that he's had the full summer to train like he used to, right? Last year he was coming off the hip injury, didn't get to work out to the full capacity, and we saw what he was able to do. So we'll see how he looks, how he feels after a full summer of being able to train like Patrick Kane did back in his prime. That's going to be super exciting. And then it's the young kids. It's the guys that come in and who's going to be fighting for the last couple of spots or who's going to make Steve Eiserman make some tough decisions. Is it a Carter Maser whose name was thrown out there last year to potentially crack the roster? He's a major at training camp. So I think he's a very interesting name. Nate Danielson, obviously everyone very excited about what he was able to do last season. And he was super impressive during the preseason last year too. So what steps has he taken this year? And then I think the goal-tending situation is going to be interesting. Obviously, you bring in Cam Talbot. I'd imagine he's going to be a huge part of what the Red Wings try to do. But Alex Lyon did a great job for this team as well. We still have Billy Housso. Jack Campbell is also in that mix. I expect him to probably play in Grand Rapids. But that's four goal tenders to figure out and see who fits in where. So unless there's moves made before a training camp, I think those are some really big storylines to watch as we head into it. Daniel, appreciate you joining us as always. And every time you say his name, I just get giddy in here when you mention Nate Danielson because I'm so excited for what this kid can be. And I saw Danny Cleary mention that he was one of the guys that impressed him the most. How much of a jump has he made truly? And I know that during the preseason last year, he looked like one of the best guys on the ice out there. Is it real that he could actually go after a spot on this team? I mean, I think it's real. It's hard, though, because he hasn't played too much in the AHL. He was in the WHL for most of the season. And he started in Brandon last year and was traded to Portland. And that's when he really took off. That second half of the season in Portland, his numbers were fantastic. You saw his offense shine a little bit more, which he's known for more of his 200-foot defensive style game. But then when he played in Grand Rapids for the small time that he did, he didn't look out of place. He didn't look like he didn't belong there. And last year, if you go back to preseason hockey with the Red Wings, he looked like he fit in there, too. So I definitely think it's possible. The one thing I would say is it's not a disappointment if he doesn't crack the Red Wings roster. That just means he's going to go play in Grand Rapids for a while. Maybe he gets a later season call up or maybe he plays the full season in the AHL. But I wouldn't say it's impossible for him to make a run for a spot on the Red Wings roster. Single game tickets for the Red Wings on sale, DetroitRedwings.com. And, guys, look, we've been talking about it. If there's a game you have your eye on that you want to go, go to DetroitRedwings.com and get the tickets now, because they probably won't be there when you want to buy them later on. Daniela Bruce, appreciate the time. Very, very good friend of the show. Happy for all your success. And we knew the day was coming, Daniela, and we used to have those discussions. So, hey, who's here to work with? We all knew. We all knew. We all knew. Two of your biggest fans and supporters right here. All right. Put you on the spot, Daniela. Who's easier to work with? Ken Caller Me. Oh, God. Ken Caller Me. Oh, God. Ken Caller. Diva. Ha ha. We know that. Cal Zitski. So me. Wait, hold on. But does he have two firms? What you meant was Ken Caller's more of a diva than you, Neil. So don't worry about it. That's what she said. More than me, even. Even Ken Caller is more of a diva than I am. Okay. Fair enough. Daniela, appreciate the time. We'll check in when the season gets rolling. Okay. All right. Thanks, guys. Great to see you both. All right. Absolutely. Daniela Bruce, our guests here. We used to work together for the Oakland television broadcast. She was my sideline reporter, a sideline reporter for Detroit City in the early television days with them as well. So she's the best. She's blowing up like I thought she would. Yeah. Same number, same crib. That's true. Same hood. Working. Right. Yeah. Every which way. So very interesting. Yeah. Neil, on that list, you're on number two. Kalzinski's one. Daniela's three. When she said Nate Dale said I couldn't even control myself. But did you see her? It's like hitting him in his pee. She named off five or six guys Carter Maser. Yes. I've mentioned him before from Jackson. My boy, Johnny Bergus. Well, and there you go, Spenny. Wait a minute. Hold on now. The Johnny burgers. That was everybody's trade piece to go get somebody. Well, he's the most NHL ready guy. But she brought up a great point too, right, where this is a shot. And obviously if he wasn't moved and you could agree that he had the most move ability. Yes. But now he does it. He's going to give every opportunity and he's still got trade possibilities because you can't send him down. But he's going to be giving a shot and who knows it's it's it's up for grabs, but she named, you know, five or six guys and you never even mentioned soda bloom. Yeah. Right. And you know the size with that. So I mean, to me, it's always about to me, it's always about what what was done in the off season was to improve the same percentage, but what and and also to to add in a Stanley Cup, two types, Stanley Cup champion, a guy that's been there that can add some offense in the top two lines. But it is about training camp and it's about some of these young guys that we may forget because they were Grand Rapids coming in and playing in a good part. And that's why I love the Danielson hype. I think this would be the perfect like team because he he's a top six guy. You're not bringing him in to be the beat bottom. So you're bringing him in to be a top six guy. So if you could put him as that two C between Terasinko and Kane, what would be a better way to usher a young dude into the end of the show? Yeah. But that's also a tough right. So you think an offensively right where you defensively, you also need, but but to your point, yes, because you know, if comp for and copper, you're three and four, yes, that means you're super strong. What I don't know, especially early is the defense of how tough it is to be a two C playing against the veteran guys early on. But if he's good enough to play, they'll find a way to get him in there and get his minutes. He's not going to sit on the end of the bench and play six minutes. Yeah. And there is some breaking news. Oh, for Adam Schrefter, JJ McCarthy will undergo knee surgery. It is unsure the timetable he will be out. OK, so it doesn't sound like it's anything too serious, though. So could you just be like a cleanup procedure or something? It says it's a meniscus. Yeah, meniscus surgery. Probably just cleaning up the meniscus. Those are normally like five, six, six weeks, something like that because they didn't frank did that last year back to next week. He's built a little different. That is fair. Yeah. It's a little different. The Michigan folk chime in instantly sucks for JJ, though. He looked good. Sure. It does. I... It hurts. But it hurts the Vikings franchise. So it's good for us. OK. But I expected him to do what he did. He went out there. He looked good. His first drive was a little shaky, but other than that he settled in. He made some real nice throws. The Michigan fans are chiming in the keys to wisdom. They never planned to play JJ much this year anyway. Yeah. He told us. I'm going to leave it alone. I'll say it then. Yeah. I'm going to leave it alone. Trust the Western Michigan fan here, or not mean Michigan fan. I mean, Western Michigan fan. He's... Dude, pre-show, he's telling me he's got the Phil steel out and he's like... What? You're matching. Western Michigan, man. They got an easy schedule. I walked in. They got an Alabama transfer. Oh, now it's going to be time to like Western again. Oh my God. I was not that excited. You're not captured. I mean, you were a little giddy. I love matching. Tuesday's matching is special because there's nothing else on it. Dude, we all agree. We all agree. We're slappies for it. But I'm a wrestling fan. I watch that stuff too. Okay. I want to do something that I self prefer. There are a couple things in this industry I don't do a good job of. And I'm aware of it. But it's just not in my DNA to do it that way. One of the things that I'm not good at is the organizational fantasy talk. Like the heavyweights, man, this is their lane. You guys do it more elite than anybody at this network by a mile. I appreciate that. You guys are the best at it. The Tannehill thing is one that comes up. Get Ryan Tannehill. The Man Judon thing. Yeah. You guys are elite at it. We're off that though. He wants money. Yeah. Yeah. Weird. That's the whole reason that they're doing it. Yeah. How many sides of the ill in life does that, you know, sounds like a great idea. They want more. Oh, maybe not. All right. So I want to take a turn, but to a lesser degree, like I'm not going to pound the table on this or anything like it. I'm more or less just, I want to, I want to figure out what the people think. Hassan Redick is all over ESPN and he's demanding a trade, even though he just, then he just demanded trade and got traded from the Eagles to the Jets this year. And now he wants to be traded from the Jets. Yes. And the Jets said they're not trading him and they're going to continue to find him for not showing up. Yeah. So he's already a million bucks in. Is your question, would I like Hassan Redick on our team? No, because who wouldn't, right? Right. You cannot have Hassan Redick or have Hassan Redick. Yeah. Obviously you want Hassan Redick, which, you know, for the number he's at this year with a 14.2 base salary, I, obviously I would like him to. However, that being said, that is not the number that he's ultimately going to cost this year. It's not because when he does this, it's because his deals up this year. Yes. He's got some void years at some voided years at the end. He's essentially going to be a free agent. So what he wants to do is he wants out of Philly and anywhere that he agrees to go, he's going to have to get a deal done. And for me, DMACC, I'm curious because this is one where I've been wrestling with it. What would the cost of acquisition be to get Hassan Redick? Because normally in these things, you're always stunned by how little guys like this go for always remember Jalen Ramsey got like a fifth round pick or whatever it was, third interview. Like it's just, you're always stunned by how little they go for. And I'm asking the people, I'm asking the people, what would you give me to get me off of Hassan Redick if I'm the Jets? What's the market value? So I guess this is kind of, it's spending, this is your kind of lane. What do you think you would have to give me to get Hassan Redick? Probably a fourth round pick. I would say that would be pretty reasonable. I'm not sure, they gave like, it was like Bryce Huff basically straight up. I don't remember the exact trade from the Eagles, but I would say it was just a third round picks. Third round pick. Yeah. And then the Eagles signed Bryce Huff. Yeah, it was a conditional third that would have conveyed to a second if he played 68% of the snaps and had 10 sacks. Yeah. So it probably a fourth round pick or a fifth or fifth round pick is because you know he's not going to play unless you pay him and you're going to have to pay him upwards of $19 million a year. And people are going to the character like elite complainer Hassan Redick that comes from our band. And D-Man, click look. I know, I think I got a feeling where I know where you're going to go with it. I'm not, I'm not pounding the table to say do this because right away you tell me what you think about it first because I think I know where you're going to go with this. As far as what I do it for for a fourth rounder. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. You know, like if as long as the the money so so here's the thing. What are you willing to pay him and where does he fit in down the road because you're not going to just get him as a rental or are you thinking that he's you know what I'm saying? It's probably the negotiation and now is that it'd be trade for for a long term deal. Now what is the market for that and does he is he that type of guy? That's where the conversation. So the fact that it he is a piece that will get you over the hump in a Super Bowl. Then how do you not? Especially on the defensive side, especially since, right? We mentioned earlier and we know Redick is better and commits you, but you have a have a hole there. So so I don't know, Neil, is it isn't it more to that if a longer term deal can get done and you know where he fits or where would he fit other than this isn't a trade line deadline deal. This isn't this is more than that. No, and that is fair because because that is this is a unique situation, I guess you could say. And the people are saying they're coming at the character of them about a being bought a boom. He wants to get paid. He doesn't care if it's a judge or not. Pay the man. He's earned it. And no one's quite I don't think anybody's questioning the production and my guests would be, again, I'll always defer and spending like you were big on the chase young thing last year. Yes, I think you've kind of made your piece with Brad's going to do what Brad's going to do. And you're fine with it. And if it's not a culture fit or something they don't like about it, they're not going to move out. You've accepted that, right? It's the reality. I have. And I guess that's kind of where I am with this with the whole Hassan Redick thing where would I like it if they kind of poke, you know, if they poke their nose in there. It's kind of like when you're out with the with the boys and nobody's really feeling it. You don't want to go out drinking or anything like that. And the one guy in your group that's dead set on it says, let's just let's just go in for one. Yeah. That's where I am with the Hassan Redick thing. Like at the Hassan Redick sports bar, let's let's just spend he let's just go in there for one. And if it sucks, we'll leave. All right. Can we go? Can we go in? Can we have the discussion? Sounds good to me. I'm always down for a drink. You're always down for a trade. I'm always down for a trade. And so there you have it. Especially when it's in a lead edge rush here. And that's what I'm saying, DMACC, like, I don't want to I'm not questioning Brad Holmes. Don't don't get me wrong here. I'm not I'm not questioning that because he's earned that title right now. But for me, would the character stuff be worth the risk? Yes. I think in the. Yes. Twenty nine. If so here, but here's the whole thing if he they'll have that figured out, right? If they can bring that guy in and if he can adhere to the herd, that's a damn Campbell saying or whatever, or if he would he would be a distraction, they're not going to have anybody in. That's not a part of it. So that would all of the due diligence would already be there. And that's what the move was made. That was already taken care of like, do you think because the jets? The jets are going through this now. I don't hold the jet culture like I hold the lion culture or Dan Campbell, what he's done. You know, the Aaron Rodgers stuff and you know, there's some dismantling you would have expected that when they made the deal, when the jets made the deal with with Philly, that there was conversations in place that they were going to they made the deal for third round and do extend them and everything's hunky to worry and we see it a million times. Well, that's not the case. So I'm not worried about that here. I don't think they're going to bring anybody in the doors that doesn't adhere to the culture. No, and that's it, right? That's the override. DJ Whammo, great name, by the way, elite name. He and I are vibe. We're on the same wavelength. My thought, I don't believe the Jets had any attention of extending him. I don't either, which I definitely believe that as well. The Jets have a known Super Bowl window of this year. They want them for this year. They'll want more than the traditional trade market. And I would say this too, with already having a sunk cost of a third to get them, that's why I think it is going to take. That's why I think they're not going to trade him because nobody will give him more nobody will give him more than that. No one will give him a second. That's a good chance. Would you give him a second? No. So that's your line? Yeah. Is a third your line? I, no, I wouldn't do a third. Really? Yeah. And that's Spencer Rachster. Could you rehab spend it? I just, you have to pay him. He's not going to play unless you pay. If you could get him in a room and say, hey, Hassan, well, pay you above market because they got like $42 million in cap space, the wine still do. See, no problem. We'll give you $24 million this year just to play this year. Will you do that? If he said yes, then I would do a third, but he's not going to say yes to that because he wants a long term deal, rightfully so, rightfully so wants a long term deal. But the Lions can't give him that because we just obviously paid our big three, got to pay much soon, got to pay a couple guys down the pike like, no, we're looking for. Do you think he'll go for less than Chase Young went for? Chase Young went for a third? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And you wouldn't give a third. Wow. No, because he's not going to play unless you pay him. I don't think we do it either way. Okay. I don't think if it was a fourth, we do it because you got to pay him or he's not going to play for your team. All right. That's all that's all I wanted to do. I got to say something. I got it because I would do it because to me, you are creating a Broncos ask Super Bowl when they won the Super Bowl with Von Moer and Demarcus where type of pass rush duo, especially with the interior lineman you have. I mean, on paper, yeah, but what does that pass rush do? I mean, if half of it doesn't play and bada being bada boom says, why trade for the guy if you're not going to pay him? He was traded from Philly because he wanted to get paid. The Jets knew what they were trading for. Exactly. Don't move by the Jets. Yeah, but that's jet. What I'm trying to say, that's jet stuff. That's the way. And you know what? Back in the day that used to be lying stuff, but it's not anymore because it ain't the same old line. Yeah. So just I do think though at the deadline, Brad Holmes, this year does it. I agree with you. I think there's no other reason why you're keeping the space. Yeah, there's no other reason why he's keeping that space. He knows everybody knows everyone in our home park is talking Super Bowl. They're going to do it at the deadline. And whether it be a wide receiver or an ed drusher, it's going to happen. Sky Dog 72. Why would the Lions give more than the other teams? Are they desperate? Well, it's just like. You got to help it. You got. Yeah. No one's going to take less from you. You have to give more. Yeah. Just supply and demand everybody. I mean, that's pretty that's pretty basic. Tell about Mark White. I know that's the best part. That is all that he needs. But yeah, the bean, Aaron Rodgers, probably said to deal him, F and jerk, that Rodgers is. No, you guys love him. He's great. You guys. You know what I mean? Yeah. The Sam Flannels of the world. They think like he turns 40. He doesn't sell his body to the game and he's just all of a sudden going to bounce back and be an MVP guy again. Makes no sense. Mas is the same way. He loves it. Flannel did say that the Jets won't win that division on Friday. Well, he thinks the dolphins aren't going to make the playoffs, right? He did say that too, yeah. He did say that. You guys made the coffee bet on that? That's right. We did. I forgot about that. What are you spending? You want to go first, man? Who are you putting in there? Who are you putting in? Who have you had enough of? I'll go first. Yes. All right. I'll go first. All right. I'm going to say R.I.P. Pinola Lyles. Yeah. R.I.P. Pinola Lyles. You get the whole song today. Guess what? The Olympics are over your, your, your, your 20 minutes of fame are over like we're back to watching the NBA and the NFL and, you know, sports that people actually love. So I love the Olympics. I am a huge fan of the Olympics going after other professional athletes is not here. You can prop yourself up. You can be a celebrity once every four years without taking low blows at Anthony Edwards for getting his own shoe, right, NBA players for saying their world champions with literally the best players in the world play in the NBA. So stop playing. Yeah. Stop playing. Like congratulations on the gold medal. Congratulations on the bronze medal because I was found, but it's still a big accomplishment. But don't, don't put other people down to push yourself up. That's annoying. Go Blue says DMEC with the earned in that picture makes me laugh out. No, that's great. No, it's the best, best image ever, man. It is pretty elite. I'm not going to lie. Young Justin. No, I need a second. I need a second. Okay. All right. KG, who you, who you putting in the coffin? Who's going to rest in peace? Rest in peace, man. To all the people saying LeBron didn't deserve MVP for the gold medal game. I'm sick of you. Like literally, he's the reason you even got to that point. KG, it's like I said, man, we won because we have LeBron and stuff. Thank you. That's why we won. And you needed LeBron to save you and then step one the game. Exactly. That's, that's, I don't care what anybody, but you can hate them all you want because if you hate LeBron, then you hate the USA. Yeah. This is for mass, man, not to say I'm burying mass, but just because you hate LeBron, man, stop hating on America as a whole. LeBron is a heartache. You hate. LeBron. You're hating on America. Thanks, man. Un-American, man. And I'm just sick of it, man. That pick and pop game was absolutely unstoppable without LeBron. Steph doesn't even get that moment. Thank you. KG, thank you for saying it because I don't know if people had to kind of tune me out for saying it. It's been annoying me. Thank you. And people like, I understand, Steph going for 36 against Serbia and then that four threes in a row to with those extremely impressive feats, you didn't watch the rest of the Olympics. If you think that that Steph Curry deserved it over LeBron, you didn't watch the rest of the Olympics because LeBron was carrying that team for the entire run. He was the best player on the court in every single game, except for that Serbia game. Big thanks. All right. Yeah. Young Justin, who are you putting in the coffin? I'm going to put in the coffin James Franklin because it's got to be like, there's got to be some year where he's actually on the hot seat for coming up short. I mean, he is. They're cool. You know what they are. They're cool being mid. Yeah. They're Michigan fans circa 2010. They're cool with it. I don't know if we was ever cool with it, but you know, I don't know if we were cool with it. You are good. But you were real good. I mean, it is what it is. It was right out of it. What do you want from this? But yeah, they may they may be the playoff this year, but they'll get beat the hell out of in the first round and then they'll do it again next year. Like they're only going to get in with their easy schedule. And I'm just sick of that. I'll put Drew Allen in the coffin with me, too. Two hours over ready. Flannel. Eat shit. Flannel may be right though. They might they might actually go like 11 in one. Well, they have a week schedule. They do. They have Michigan schedule from last year. I agree. I don't know they got they do play West Virginia way on the nine seven on the road though, man. Yeah, they're at USC at Wisconsin and Purdue at Minnesota, and it's Penn State. You know they're going to trip up once. Yeah, at least the week one against West Virginia. You know that they'll trip up somewhere. All right. Do you know who you put in the car? Here. It's a little bit of a different take because there's a couple of things I got to bring to the forefront. Get it off your chest and and it's a rest in peace. To the no wins. The first career win for Aaron Raw. Right on the peak. Right on the peak. Who is if you don't know this T to green this year, you know, the the shefflers and the shoplies and the macarois. He's number four. But he's a kid that came out at term pro at 17 years of 80s, 29 years old. He's been playing all over the world. Just proves. I love the story because when he was starting to get into golf, somebody gave him those weather gloves, why he wears two gloves when he hits hits the shots is because he's always since he was a kid wearing the weather gloves to that and the collapse of Max Graceman. Usually I'd be putting him in the cup and say when come back, but the way that this kid handled himself after making Eagle, they're making quad bogey, making birdie, then forepudding for double and losing by a stroke, he will win, right? So I I want to bring that to attention to the fact that even more so than anything rest in peace, the fact that the same guy wins every tournament now. Sheffler may dominate or Sheffler may dominate the season. There might be a guy dominated season, but there's more new time winners and first time winners and that'll continue because of golf, but everybody knows I'm a wrestling fan. Yes, sir. Right. That's the greatest storyline. What I'm earlier in the show that the skunks drew first blood, even though he wasn't raised by John Ramble, I was, I appreciate that analogy. If you watch NASCAR, what happened this weekend at the end and Austin Dillon wrecked Joey Logano at the line to win, but why I bring this up? Rest in peace communications because it's the first time that I've heard blatantly on the spotters radio or a spotter telling a driver, do whatever you have to take and wreck his ass. Usually it's an unwritten rule, but if you listen to the spotters go down, go down, you know, wreck them, wreck them, wreck them. Gloves are off. There's fights and it's awesome, but as far as usually those unwritten rules, so I'm rest in peace in NASCAR, the unwritten rule of don't tell your guy what to do. Everything's captured. It's like, shuttle, but now it's out in the open. So he wrecked him, Dillon won. If you like that drama, go watch NASCAR. It's awesome. That's wild. I can't believe you did that. As a, as a motorsport man, I can't believe you did that the line. That's the intensity. That's what we're dealing with. And you're talking about that's big money. And it, I just got to say something real quick, keys to wisdom says Olympic MVP is not saying much for USA basketball team literally could win the gold without any of the players on the team. That is not true. Rest in peace to you because they did not have Steph Curry in the bronze games. They do not win the gold medal at all. They lost in the feeble last year right without them and like what other evidence you need. They got ran without Ross Serbia woulda did did them dirty. Yes. What? It's like not even tell me you didn't watch without tell me. They did not watch it at all. Like I said, the dream team on their run, they played against seven other NBA players. This team, the Avengers team USA, they played against 61. Like the world is catching up. It's not close anymore. And like if you really want to get micro on the Serbia game as well, you saw the difference in how the countries prepare for basketball. Yes, sir. How they teach basketball to their players. Serbia, what Serbia did, if you gave Serbia one more NBA guy, they probably would've won. Absolutely. They probably would've won that one more NBA guy. Bowie was hanging his nuts on us and he is a role player. Did you see their offense they ran to? Yeah. It's Viva. It was Viva. Yeah. No doubt. All right. Last one here. Who am I putting in the coffin? Rest in peace. Rest in peace to Neil rule. And this college football season. And here's why. The Iowa Hawkeyes at a minimum are going to be ten and two at a minimum. Does ten and two get a big ten team in the playoff? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Here's what. Twelve team playoff. Start putting it together. Start putting it together. Hey, back to mirror does it for you huh? Start putting it together. The first four games, Illinois State at home, Iowa State at home, Troy at home, at Minnesota and that cloud and that cloud feature. They're going to win all four of those games. Now granted they'll win those games 39 to 13 in total score, but they will win those games. You're going to put them at four and they'll lose at Ohio State. No doubt about that. Yeah. Then the rest of the way they have Washington at home. Okay. Who just got decimated by the NFL draft. I don't believe in the schedules. I have no faith in Washington to be any good whatsoever. I don't believe in them yet. What? You're not? At Michigan State. No. At Michigan State. That's a good. That's a dub for Michigan State. Okay. Home against Northwestern. 30, dog. We should have bought. We should have beat him last year. I'm just home. Home against Northwestern. Home against Wisconsin at UCLA at Maryland home against Nebraska. You're going 10 and two. Neil Michigan State. We will keep Iowa out of the playoffs. No big, but where's okay. I mean, we tried to be him last year. We should have beat him last year. If it wasn't for literally a Cooper to Jean put return touchdown. We lost because Jay Johnson is a terrorist and Cooper to Jean is the most athletic white football player since change a lot. If Iowa goes 10 and two, are they getting in? Yeah. Yes. Anybody in the big 10? I don't know though. They're trying to be. The schedule will be really weak. It doesn't. Doesn't matter. Okay. The quality of lost will matter. It will. If they tell you they'll be placed in just wait, just wait. But you were eating child's to dot up the best secondary in the big 10. Just wait for it. Even if that happens because guys here. Here's why. Okay. Here's why. KG listening to me. Yeah. Here's why. I was ranked in one of the preseason polls. I think 25th or something like that. You give them four straight wins in a bi-week and then going into the Ohio State game. What will TV do to that Iowa Ohio State game? Oh, they're going to prop it up. Mm-hmm. Iowa will be in the top 10. Yeah. It will be big new kickoff. It will be big. I will be in the top 10. Yeah. They'll lose the Ohio State game. Then they'll start winning games again. Even if they lost to Michigan State on October 19th, they'd still be low 20s. Yeah. And if they didn't lose the rest of the way, they'll be in the top 10 by the end of the season. They'll be just trusting Iowa like that. But there's going to be... I don't trust Iowa. I trust the schedule though. There's going to be... Sorry, KG. No, I'm just... You don't think they'll flood any of those games down the street? Oh, I'm giving you one. There's room for one flub in there. Okay. Because you're going to lose Ohio State. They're flub in Michigan State. Sorry. This is breaking my brain over here. If they're 10 and 2, they're getting in. Or... Oregon Penn State, we both are assuming are in Ohio State is probably in like how many more big... Like, all those teams will be at least 10 and 2. So, I almost had five big 10 teams get in. He did. But that was just bold, hot take. But there has to be some team that misses the cut. And Iowa will have the worst schedule of those four teams. And then you just need to find like one more team. If Michigan is 9 and 3, and Iowa is 10 and 2, Michigan will get in. Michigan will get in. 100%. Because we guys got to remember, DMACC, this isn't... This isn't what happens on the field anymore. This is strictly done for entertainment/ratings now. It will be WrestleMania. The college football playoff will be WrestleMania in a sense. And the card will be set up. They didn't prove that with Florida State last year. What's up? They did prove that with Florida State last year. 100%. The Intercontinental Championship match. You know. Iowa versus Nebraska. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just telling you guys, man. Working man's title. Chuck Brewer, Neil, Ohio State, Oregon State, Penn State, Iowa side. Michigan is out. Not up there 9 and 3. Yeah. Even... Another... The Legion was saying that... Another team that might get in over Iowa at 9 and 3 is Wisconsin. They play Alabama, USC, Penn State, Iowa, and Oregon. Like, that's going to have a way higher strength to schedule even if they're 9 and 3. I think they'll get in over Iowa as well. So that was the biggest RIP segment of all time. We literally went over, so we should just do the reads and then we'll write off into the sounds. Alright. Tell them about Randy Wise. Absolutely.
