NBC News Radio. I'm Tammy Trujillo. Vice President Kamala Harris plans to unveil her economic policy in a speech in Raleigh, North Carolina today. It will be her first policy-centered speech since she entered the race for the White House following President Biden's decision to drop out. The Harris Campaigns of the Vice President will outline a plan to lower costs for middle-class families and take on corporate price gouging. Donald Trump says a presidential civilian award is better than the top military honors. Trump made the comment Thursday at a campaign event in New Jersey, where he was introduced by wealthy Republican donor Miriam Adelson. When he was president, Trump awarded Adelson the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The CDC is warning of a multi-state salmonella outbreak linked to cucumbers. The outbreak has affected over 440 people across 31 states. Two Florida growers have been identified as likely sources, but the CDC says there's likely no ongoing risk as there's no product from these farms on the market. Tammy Trujillo, NBC News Radio.
