Listen back to Paul Cooney, Leanne Crichton and Craig Moore as they talk all things Scottish football.

This is the Goradio football show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Call 0-8, 0-8, 17, 17, 700. Let's go, go, go, go, go, go, go. Good evening, Poulkine here with Leanne Crichton. Baby Cameron was here just a few moments ago, so I think it's feeding time. She's just left the studio, and Craig Mert is here as well. My goodness, so much coming up tonight. Leanne, the way one, gorgeous though. What five months old? Yeah, five months, I just thought we would come in for a visit before the show today, which was great. We had a bit of time in our hands, which was good, and it's probably my fault that she's not been in sooner, actually, but it was nice to meet the gang, and she's eventually going to be happy. And it's hard that it's feeding time, by the way, not for me, how are we here for the show? Leanne, please note in the card, Craig took you back, didn't I? Could see your eyes well enough. Absolutely, by the way, full of smiles for me, full of tears for somebody else. That was true, yeah, exactly. I haven't lost the touch on this terrible, she was bawling. Rangers fans have been bawling the past couple of days, it wasn't funny at all the other night, out now of the Champions League, and where is the club going? What's going to happen? A lot of discussion last night, a lot of dissent. Well, the Rangers fans, I'm not just really worried about what's happening. Other headlines last night? Well, it came in, I think it broke, and the sun last night that the author of the Glasgow Derby, there's going to be no Rangers fans at Celtic Park on September the 1st, and no Celtic fans January at the New Year game at iBrogs. And I think, Craig, this, I think it's just, it's depressing, I haven't been talking about it in talks about it this morning, it's not good look for Scotland, and I think it is a real pity. Apparently, Celtic have spent six figures on over 100 grand to get ready for the game in two weeks time, but they didn't feel Rangers are going to be ready, so I think they've withdrawn that offer of two and a half thousand places. Yeah, look, I think it's our marquee game, you know, so it's for me always being one that you would love to see both sets of supporters, obviously now the new allocation of tickets, three and a half K to 2,500 maybe at Rangers. Rangers are not in a position, unfortunately, to accommodate maybe the return old firm match. They'll wait until January, that's what I couldn't understand. It seems madness, and again, like I said, it's for me just for this type of match, you want to see a way supporters getting into the match to support their team. Again, it looks as if now it's on the back burner pool for a couple more matches, which is sad, because like I said, it's our marquee feature, and it's not just, you know, what it generates and the interest and the ongoing interest throughout the season here in Scotland, it goes far further than that. It's shown all over the world, and I think it's not the type of look, I was saying it's not a negative, negative, but the look that we want to see in terms of when it's been looked at from Australia or South America or the US, you want to see a spectacle, you want to see something good on television, you want to see away fans also. Of course, Leon, what's your view on this? I just think it's nonsense. It's been growing long enough now though. I do frustration to take everything that Craig said, it's a game that we want to say out to the rest of the world, that we claim to be immensely proud of, that we describe to people that it's about the fans and everything else, but it appears when it comes this picture, it's only about one set of fans, and that's both Celtic when it's at Celtic Park and Rangers when it's at Ibrook. So probably the governing body's going to need to step in at some point, and they'll need to enforce that, because if it's about television rights and about globalising the game and growing Scottish football and putting Scottish football in the market, and you're trying to draw in big sponsors, we've gone all the time about, you know, like the Scottish Cup wasn't sponsored for so long, and can we not get more TV money, can we not get better sponsors in Scottish football with undersellers as well? That's our two biggest clubs, underselling Scottish football, for their own game, it would appear, because I don't see who gains from it other than the club themselves, and I don't even think the fans enjoy it, you know, Rangers without Celtic fans and Celtic without Rangers fans, because I'm back to Craig Day, you know, those atmospheres and those Derby matches were what people certainly in the central belt lived for, you know, that was what it was all about, if you could get a ticket to an old firm game, it was gold dust, and that's when there was seven and a half thousand, I think roughly, that Ibrooks wasn't in the same at Celtic Park, so it's crazy that it's going on, and again it's now been rubber stamped, there'll be no fans again. Have we got any leadership in Scottish football at the SPFL, someone who can come in and say, and I know it's the member clubs, right, I know that, but come on, sorta out, it's a terrible look, it's really, really poor, I find it quite depressing. Yeah, we just need someone to come out and be the bigger person, they do the right thing for the game, but again at this moment in time, it's been booted up in the park. I almost feel it's just a bit out doing, one another, or making the other team look worse than the other, you know, at what point are they going to come together for the greater, good day, that Darby match, and as I say for sale in Scottish football, and with the break same positive, is there a 5% of our way fans, yeah, that's in play, so again that's the reason why the governing body, as the league is going to need to step in and enforce that, because I don't think Rangers and South it would be too pleased if other clubs just shut the aim out, because they thought maybe it would impact their team better. What have sent their in, for example, just go now, and I know they scaled it back in terms of the amount of fans that they were giving away tickets, you know, there's no way fans are told now, when it comes to Rangers and South it would be no way, just wouldn't think it down well, it wouldn't be stood for, it would not be accepted, so there has to be something that I better... And it is cascading down, because look at Tank Castle the weekend before, there were spaces, hearts have reduced their engine's allocation, I think that's wrong, and Hibs again Celtic, there were spaces as well, that's wrong, come on, we want people there, we want it to look good, because the world, you know, down South they kind of dismiss the Scottish League, they do, and even this great game that we say is the best in the world, Craig, you've played in it, we're all in for you, but we're diminishing it, and look, when Kyogascore is at iBrucks, I mean there's a deathly hush, no, I know you might say, but you don't do it as a player, you hear about the opposition fans, not that you need anything extra, but it makes you come back out and give you a chance, I just don't think it's a good look, because it's bizarre, we love the game, that's why we're talking about it 24/7 as well, and this stage of the season, Paul, in particular, everyone's had an off season, everyone's that excited for football coming back, we should be not seeing empty seats at football stages, every stadium should be packed, please sort it out, Kevin's a big Celtic fan, Kevin, what's your view on this, good evening, good evening, Paul, I've stayed for the last year or 18 months or so many days in Madison, no having to be a fan, I've also, I can't be able to be seen, I don't think it's immature, but we're just kind of started on this, so you can't really blame Celtic, however, well, Paul says I'm disappointed in Celtic, that's evident, because we had the chance to be the biggest person here, because we're just stadiums, obviously, in MS, the next day, Iberics games, no, it's the January, so Celtic should really have said, you know what, we'll still give it in just around the two and a half thousand, and good faith, the Irish will be ready, and their careers are two and a half thousand, and if there's no ready, if I ever said the ready, it's no ready, I'm sure they just only got it delivered with the way Iberics because of the old film game, so I think Celtic is an opportunity here to stay up, I don't think we've ever applied today, so previously, because again, this is all the new Rangers, they just started already, let's carry on, but I'm disappointed this time, because Celtic, as I say, had an opportunity to say, we'll still give the Rangers fans two and a half thousand, and good faith, and if I ever said the ready, let's hope this fall will be ready next time, so I'm disappointed in that point. 100% agree with you, that's hard to argue, I say, you know, again, you know, Celtic are in a position where they were probably ready to deliver, and Kevin, you know, in terms of, you know, being the bigger person, sometimes that's always, well, as we've clearly seen it, is not the case here, Rangers certainly wouldn't be in a position either to delay returning serve in regards to making sure it was ready, because the cost alone of not being at Iberics is going to cost Rangers a fortune as well, so, Kevin, we would just love to see what is a marquee football match played in front of, you know, the 50, 60,000s that we get here, away supporters in, and being showcased all over the world, mate, I'm sure you will agree with that. I'm sure he does, as we hear that Matt Aurelia, 21 and a half million pound bed, is that 23 million euros rejected by Celtic, so it's getting tighter, sorry to jump in there, Kevin, but I know you want the latest news, he's still here. No, no, no, no, he's still here, and firstly, he's Celtic, and, um, do you know what actually, uh, I'm actually, I actually want to gee a lot, I don't think Matt Aurelia's getting enough credit with how rare he's had on this situation, he's just, really the Matt Aurelia's going to bring his bed and sort of pictures as if they say, if Celtic accepted the bed, I would discuss it with the club, and if I move, I move, he's not kicking the door, then, so, I feel pleased, because you don't often see that, because Arlan are a huge club, and Sarah, they're a big club, so, you couldn't blame Matt Aurelia with the, um, the door and said, "Listen, we're just going to one here, but it's no use to go, it's as if he's going to return, but, uh, so, I feel pretty ham, but, listen, Celtic need to get the market value, we've already had, we've already been ripped off a wee bit, we saw what happened with Van Dijk, we saw them in the cheap, 18 months later, he saw from 19th to Molian 11th, that kind of thing can't even happen again, perfectly happened, didn't we Mjovski, they felt it for that big fee, you know, I think Scottish clubs need to stop selling their best players on, on the cheap, as Brendan Rogers says, pay the price of the value, the player, not the value of the league, and I would say, I mean, how many, how many Brazilian players did he go to the Brazil league for 50, 50, 40, 50 Molian, the Brazil league's absolutely terrible, do you ever watch that? No, I know, I know because the best players have gone, now it's completely, it's changed days, Craig might know more about that, it's, uh, a globe shorter, but first of all, what about Matt Aurelia, and you would want to say, what a pro! You listen, for me, I say it all the time, he's matured beyond his years, I think he's still only 22 years old, but I think since he's arrived at Saudi, he's been impeccable, both on and off the pitch, you don't speak enough a lot about him, in any other capacity, other than his football and performances, and that's exactly the way it should be, and Kevin, your sport on, he does, he looks like that, he's just going about his business quietly, if it happens, it happens, I mean, I'm sure even a couple, I've used a few things he says, he comes across, like, there's almost like, he's got quite a bit of Zen, when he's just totally chilled about things, and he's, I mean, I think he's quite forward-thinking for being a young guy, and a lot of the things that I've heard them say, one thing randomly was that he goes to Pilates, which I'm not sure there's many young men at 22 that come out and speak of it that, but he spoke about how it's improving his performance, how it made him better, it was when he scored that, World Series right foot, was that against him, I don't know, remember the one last season, it was outside the box anyway, he took it on him, and when he was asked about the goal he basically says, I feel so much in controlling my body, this is the reason why he blah blah blah, he's so good, he's going to get his move, that's, that's the reality, and I think that's why there's probably no stress about it as well, because if he keeps doing what he's doing, the offers are going to come, and Celtic will eventually get the value of, again, Kevin, what you say, the player, the value, the player, not the value, the legal, how any of the views Scottish football, because he's a top operator, I think Brighton are still in the mix as well, I think there's a bit of chat with that, and they'll probably be turning and throwing, and they'll be bids to come over the common days, I would imagine, but the reality has been in the transfer window matter really, I don't think we'll beat Celtic that we can be sure of. Greg, and I totally, totally agree, and I think that what it's really shown to me is that everybody around about O'Reilly in terms of this particular situation are all on the same page, you know, so the club, obviously the, the, the manager, the player, there's obviously been extremely good communications throughout this process, and absolutely he's, he's carried himself in, in the best possible way and being a wonderful professional, and I think it's, you know, it's common sense that, that come the end of the window, he's going to go for really, really good money that Celtic have dictated in terms of the price that they want, and they're going to dust themselves down and they're going to move on and they're going to look to build and go again, so that, that for me is the way you should handle things, rather than someone trying to come in and maybe cause a little bit of unrest, this has been managed and handled in the best possible way. And Kevin, before you go, the Belgian Wonder Kid Youth International under 21, 10 million pound rated, Arnie Engels, we spoke about him last night on the program, he's playing in the Bundesliga last season, still there, central midfielder, any thoughts on him? It sounds as a well, why wouldn't you want him if it's possible? Yeah, I was actually hoping he would, you would work right now, I think you, yeah, a brilliant scene, I don't know too much about him, but the first thing I did was just go to some German websites and he's really, he's really, really highly thought of, thank good for Google Translip. Well, remember Craig played in Germany, so I'm checking with the hair, her moor here, what does that, what do you make of him? You know, he's again 20 years of age, central midfield player, which is going to be of interest, four Celtic, no doubt, he's played, I think, 40 to 50 games in the Bundesliga, which is a tough league, Paul, it's a really tough league, so to be doing that at that young age is a great sign, he's been involved in all the junior national team stuff, I believe, for Belgium. So look, this is a player that kind of fits the model, four Celtic in terms of buying, potentially, I've seen that 10 million is a lot cheap, but you know, getting that younger type of player to be able to continue to develop and be able to sell for a lot of money in the future, but he certainly has a future, like I said, 20 years of age to have the impact that he's already had in the Bundesliga is not easy. It sounds like a more expensive version of Diego Odom home, isn't it, the sell to have got, who hasn't quite made the breakthrough, but similar ilk in terms of being an origin, youth international, loads of prospects in terms of performances, but just maybe a slightly better version. Kevin, great contribution there, thanks for your thoughts there on the lack of Rangers fans coming to Celtic, and also then for no Celtic fans at iBrucks, hopefully iBrucks in January, just can't understand why that can't be sorted in time, especially if Celtic spent the money. No, it's strange, unless Rangers have got no clue whether it's coming down to when iBrucks will be there, you know, unless they think that January is going to be tricky, and they won't have that in place and that they can't guarantee it, but also like Kevin said, I would have loved to have seen Celtic just make a statement for the better and rise above it and go look, we can afford to do this, we think it's okay, we can make that allocation, we've prepared for it, things were already in place, we've got the ball moving, we'll stick by it, and then it would have been over to Rangers to then look to try and match that in some capacity, but as it often is in Scottish football, it's social judgement. Rangers fans, what are you thinking, but also about your team, there's so much in the go crakers, yesterday you'd hear the program last night, Barry on, and also with Peter Grant, there was loads of calls, loads of comments coming, Rangers fans, what i took from it is they're genuinely worried about it, sure they were raging with their referee, i mean is that anyone in the land who thought that should be a red a second yellow? Absolutely not, absolutely not, and until that moment, Rangers were competitive and organised and worked hard, all the things that you expect that are a given, did they look like they could go on and win this game of football? Yeah i don't know, but the sending off obviously does have an impact, there are questions about why Jeffty was left on the pitch for as long as what he was to allow that potential situation. Well there were three or four incidents in the first half, you could see clearly the key of players were playing on the fact that he'd had a yellow card, so again that's something that you do have to factor into the equation, especially in European football, you know the players do look to take the advantages and put pressure on referees, and that situation happened obviously later on in the match, i think proper was pushed forward for the last bit the first attack that he was pushed forward in, Rangers conceded a gold, the nillows on the bench, there's just a lot of things that don't seem to make a lot of sense at this moment in time, and that is going to be huge pressure for everyone involved at the football club, i don't know if i'm honest that the club at this moment in time are equipped well enough, and i'm talking about the the flag that's going to come the way of the of the board, you know the manager, the players, it's all going to come and it's going to come hard and fast, and i just don't know whether they're equipped well enough of what's going to happen, and i think it's going to happen and it's going to happen very very quickly, so the next three or four weeks for rangers is huge, and i think that they're really going to have to try and find something that they haven't shown us for a long period of time, that there's there's something that we haven't seen, that resilience, that energy, that drive, to be able to get out of the situation that they're in. Leanne what do you reckon, it's a real conundrum isn't it? Look for a start, that decision on Tuesday night was scandalous, decisions at that, i mean to justify having var in the game, no no var isn't looking at yellow cards, something that's been discussed on at least a read, i do think that's something across the board that will need to be reviewed, but i've got no idea, i don't think there've been many referees across the globe that would have duplicated that decision and agreed with. Was there any hint of an infringement? Nothing, nothing at all Paul, actually it looked probably one of the cleanest haters in coming together that you could see, certainly in the mid to the pitch, i was kind of saying to Craig Eller, it wasn't even as if when you got up at a point, you may be trying to leave a wee bit on a player, we are body and still cleanly win the header, there was none of that, it was literally a clean header, no look the player rolls about in the flow, it probably gives the referee food for thought, maybe the fact it was a player, JFK, he's in the play, the referee's mind for a couple instances in the first half, again even his first yellow, like i get it's probably a yellow, but it's it's not any more than that, there was no stress around it, so that is catastrophic that type of decision, so champions like qualifiers, i mean that referee should just be a bend, the motive because that, you won't get a worse decision that gets such an impact for clubs, you need to get that out of football, Scottish football will go over it week to week, we won't referee's the motive, they shouldn't be less than terrible, rangers don't seem to be in a great place, just now both on and off the pitch, real concerns around the squad, the dynamic of the squad, even looking at how was it the game and Saturday, wax lyrical about Viaclav Churney, thought it was outstanding, come off into the second half, scored the World Day, they're almost an unbelievable assist for Scott Wright, through ball that he plays, Scott Wright rounds a goalkeeper, mother will recover it really well, it was outstanding, all i've been on about in the first half was Viaclav Churney, he came off in the second half and i thought that must be my view at him starting and choosing it, does they start, if you're fit and available and there's games that matter and it's a must win, i don't understand why these players are not on the pitch, the same range as fans are, as Greg says, Danilo, where is it, why is it? On that with Churney, the manager said beforehand, didn't he, he said, "um, they're listening to the medical staff and the medical staff said" How many times can you play that line though Paul, about the medical staff, it was such a huge game wasn't it, coming from from a club though that have got the worst injury history, the club have probably ever had in the last I think that the managers meant to have seen the other change, exactly and there's no change in the fact that your players are in and out, it looks to me like he tries to rotate that squad far too much, far too much. Get your strongest team, even if it's only for 55-60 minutes, get them on the pitch, try and take care of your business or at least then give the players that are coming off the bench for that 25-30 minutes, something to go on target, what are you chasing, is it just that goal, is it to see the game out, whatever it might be, i don't understand that and i've been in the game for as long as i've been in it, Craig's the exact same, i can only imagine what the Rangers fans, how they debriefed it, get up the road and choose the night, the frustration that would have been felt, the disaster that has idrocs off the pitch just now in terms of the stadium, not being ready, it's just adding fuel to the fire and when all the footballs like it starts to layer and layer and layer and when there's no positive breakthrough there it becomes an absolute cauldron of negativity and that's what you're going to find unless Rangers manage to weather the storm by domestically picking up three points week by week just now, which when you look at again Saturday, first half performance unbelievable, i thought they looked like a different side, the tempo, the way they moved the ball, they managed to pin Motherwell into their own half, combination pass his short distance stuff, i've been just in the last month hearing for Rangers they're a long ball team, that wasn't a thing until the second half, then Motherwell regrouped, frustrated them a little bit, don't quite get things in, you make a couple of changes, the players that come off the bench don't have the same impact as the players that started, then it's long ball, John Sutter was looking for that long ball and it was without success and it came a point then you look at their hanging on but i say three points will weather the storm just now but i don't think we're going to hear the end of it Rangers i can feel that it's only going to get worse and just yeah and i've spoken fantastically well daily and just one one other thing that i wanted to add there and it's about you know i remember doing fitness tests and you declare yourself fit, once you've declared fit to be in a squad, you'll fit to play 90 minutes or however however long you are needed for the team, it's almost as if like you know the Phillip Comeons got plays on the bench that he knows he's not going to use, which for me is baffling, it's baffling, you've gone back under Nilo, why did that happen and then Properk is up front, it's a great point, logicals coming in 0808 17, 17, 700 the top two are here Leanne Crichton and Craig Moore. This is the Gore Adial Football Show, listen anytime whatever you get your podcasts, let's go! The Gore Adial Football Show, Paul Cooney, Leanne Crichton and Craig Moore this time tomorrow night, Barry Ferguson will be here along with Andy Walker so there's been a lot of chat this week well for the big two and all the clubs and what about come on in action tonight, six o'clock kick-off in Norway so we'll get Kelly 2-2 with Tronzo and also over there we've got Bran 1-1 with St. Marin, Leanne you saw St. Marin last week I think maybe didn't but no I wasn't, I wasn't Paul, but I was on in Thursday night when we were in the build up to the game and stuff speculating about what we could expect from it, what we thought would be good results for both sides and to be fair with them they've managed to claw it back, both managed to salvage draws which is excellent and they'll get into tonight's games albeit at half our taste I think when you're away from home but both sides showing the qualities that they've got and an impact as well coming off the bench and making a difference so again we're both sides all the very best tonight and hopefully they can do the job. So we'll give you the St. Marin team Balkam of course and goals, Taylor, Ayunga, Ido Wu, Gogic, Boyd Munce, Rooney, Olasanya who scored of course last week, Brown, Fraser the captain and Adenarun and for Kilmanock playing at Tromzo, McCrory, Wright, Mayo, Finlay, Bainbridge, Armstrong, Donley, Lyons, Kennedy, Vasil the captain and Wales on the bench they've got Ahara, D's, Mackenzie, Watson's on the bench, Macai, Steven, Murray, Cameron, Anderson, Brown and Paulworth and I should have said for Saints fans on the bench, Roman skate, Kelly, Bon Momo, Kenny, Yakoviti, Tanza, Sutherland, Taylor, Smith, Mooney, Scott and Mandarin. Craig, it's always tough isn't it? These are two really tough games. What do you want to go first? What do you think? Well I watched obviously the St. Marin brand game and Bran were I thought very good in this particular match probably had a couple of chances in the first half where they could have got away from St. Marin but you've got to praise St. Marin in terms of being resilient hanging in there. Obviously the late goal from from Olasanya that's kept him kept him in the tie which is which is huge but they're going to have their work cut out tonight. You know, Bran are a good side and I just think that they might have a little bit too much for St. Marin tonight. Flipping over to Kilmanock obviously and Tromzo. Look, Daddy McInnes is a great manager. He's got huge experience but he's admitted himself. He's been disappointed defensively with the goals that Kamana could have been conceived and which is unlike them. They're not the type of goals and at this kind of level you will be punished and I just feel as if Kilmanock and they do have some great attacking threats. Vasil I think is a really strong player up top that is able to bring other players into play Armstrong. We know the quality that he has. So there is the attacking threat for Kilmanock but they need to be better defensively to give him a real chance of going through. I think both the Scottish teams tonight are underdogs but that doesn't mean to say that they can't get through. No, agreed. Both sides have got so many positives to take. It's weird but we kill it because remember last season they can run it through that phase as well. I think about one of the teams that had lost the most amount of points from a winning position and it was the same kind of theme, late goals, set pieces. Just things that you don't really associate with a dent mechanic side. So I'll be hoping they can put that right tonight because I don't think when you go away from home in any European competition you get the chance to make too many mistakes. I'll be able to claw back at a goal deficit of more than probably one goal. So I'll be across both of those games in terms of the coverage and I would just like to see them both progress. I think when we look at even Rangers and their Champions League dream-ending on Tuesday for Scottish football. We're speaking about it all the time the longer we can keep Scottish clubs in European competitions the better. I think it makes them better sides. It's why I think there's so much value. A lot of people throwing up on the conference league and the Europa League and for them it's just the pinnacle as the Champions League which of course for the clubs qualifying you can get to the Champions League brilliant but I just think it allows you to recruit better players. It gives your players a better blend and experiences of all different types of football, different competition, different places to go. I said the same last week and I just think it would be brilliant St Merene and Komarnik if they could remain in the competition. Look at Davy Moy's West Ham just over a year again. They got all the way to the final and at first people said what is this tournament? There were always three when you started playing probably. I remember there was the European Cup the Cup won us Cup and the UEFA Cup so then it went down to two so it was back to three. Totally agree with you. What do you think 0.8? 0.8. 17. 17. 700. Good luck. In fact the kickoff is in just what? 25 minutes time. So Bran against St Merene. Tromsor against Killie all even at the moment. Lots of Rangers fans coming on. They want to talk about Rangers and making comments about them as well. Where do you want to start with the manager? He spoke at length about the Red. I think everyone agrees on that. I'm not sure what else he could say about it. What were the implications though when that red card was issued? Yeah I cannot say it kills the dream at that moment because that's the thing to be proud of. The players kept on going with them to make good organization to try to to find them the moments to counterattack. Before that we were dominating the game and we were creating the chances out of that not with massive chances because Dinamo is also a good team but you saw they were getting tired and we knew the last half hour we would get more space to get better chances. So yeah the players kept on doing what they had to do. They kept on believing but then you get the goal against at the end and then you do a little bit casino one against one to try to force something and you get the second goal against. So it's a very decisive moment and in the end it has killed the dream of a dressing room. It has killed the dream of more than 50,000 fans and you expect a better level in decision making by girls. This is for me the worst decision that I've seen in my more than 30 years of football. Greg can't disagree with that. No I look and again I 100% behind Clement there in regards to the decision that was made by the referee it was there was the worst I've seen also and it had a huge impact on the game but I guess what I would like to see and I'm sure a lot of Rangers supporters would like to see Paul is rather than then there may be the talk about knowing that the last 20-30 minutes a team might be running out of legs. It's a bit of a negative mindset for me. How about going and attacking a game of football from the very first minute and trying to put yourself in a winning position. But why would you even think that Greg? I don't know where that mindset you know it's all like you're coming up against an amateur side or a side that's levels below you as a champions equality. Yeah but again like you've got to try for me you know attack every game of football. Rangers are a team that I don't think attack anywhere near enough you know it's kind of like you know we'll try and make tactical substitutions later on in the game let's see if we can have an impact that way. Go and win the game of football and it's back to your point earlier only and in terms of a journey. If churney is fit for he's not 100% fit but he's able to play 60 minutes I want him playing the first 60 minutes. Go on and affect the game of football go and get goals go and be a part of attacks and creating things don't want to seem for the last 15 minutes get him on for the first 60. Here's the manager speaking about Jeremy and why he didn't come on earlier. No because we have a lot of very qualified people in the building in the medical staff in the performance staff to come with the right things it's also what the club needed after last season with so many injuries to make that better to have the right info to make the right decisions to make players better to make them stronger to give them the right moments playing minutes so signal of them was really clear not to start with him maximum time would be to to come in half time what we did so this decision we made together he's just a few days in the building he comes out of four weeks of holidays and I understand that people who never been a manager or never been a player and don't know what the human body is that they doubt those things then but that's the reality of every manager so no zero because it was clearly a decision for the short term and the long term Leanne right so my question to that would be what happens if it went to extra time do you just take him back off because the reality is you would have effectively played longer playing a second half of football and an injury time seventy five eight hundred times and then extra time if that happens so it's nonsensical it's nonsense go if he's fit enough and he's on the bench he's surely fit enough to start and take him off at half time because as Craig says it seems to me like there's a huge thought process of trying to micromanage a game of football and having these tactical sub-no-no as a manager as a coach you can foresee things that might happen or where you would want your side to be at half time and if that happens you maybe know your first substitution at half time would be this so no many clubs make changes at half time I would need to say when you're in a you know a drawing position there was no drastic changes required 60 minutes is usually the point where you go let's try and influence the game now we've got to this but whatever it might be I understand that's happening but there's far too much chat coming out of Rangers and there has been for some time now about the medical department yeah yeah I totally get this qualified people in the building every football club is the same some more qualified than others some part time clubs that run away no many qualified people it's still managed to get players through a 35 game season so I don't know you know psychologically what is going on if you're constantly told you're not ready you're not fit enough you can only play 45 you can only play 20 I don't know where these players minds must be because you know and I totally get looking after people in players welfare and we talk about the schedule in a football it's crazy you know absolutely off the scale we've spoken of its goal and players Calla McGregor announced in his retirement last week played 66 games I think last season they're about the average is 55 games a season every year it's outrageous but we're starting this season come on you know you brought players in and the Rangers Rangers fans weren't players that are fit and available it's very different now as well so we would all have a crystal ball right but again so physio doctor says a play is not fit there was still another conversation back in my day yeah and that was the head coach saying Craig can you play this game and other 100% I can play the game right so for me it's like it's still the player yeah the player should have a say in this and we've ever in that spot where maybe the medical staff said Craig you're not quite ready and then absolutely absolutely but the thing is right so we're talking about again the the the advice for for Tierney you can't tell me that he was going to get the same advice about this crystal ball kind of yumas yumas picks up an injury all right so it can't gain for me it's like I get it there's data right and and there's there's communication but again I still think that's between you know the final decision is manager and player and when you have that trust can you can you play for me today yes I can play for you today boss it's he doesn't seem to be a concise thing happens it almost feels like the medical staff though are also on trial at the club because he made changes over the summer and the medical staff he alluded to I'm unsure spoken about yeah changing of sports science medical when he came in to rangers in the position in the situation that he inherited in the multiplayer that were injured they say he's never seen anything like it um in football and I totally get that but then if you're now telling the medical staff that that type of situation and scenario cannot happen again I almost feel like they're always going to err on the side of caution now we you know I've been at clubs where the physio changes and the doctor changes and people come in and you see different sides it because medical staff have got different experiences where they've come from for example an NHS background and in Scotland the UK other completely sporting backgrounds and you see different scales where one physio will say you're out for four weeks and I would turn on and go not listening I'll train tomorrow I'll see how it feels and then we go I don't know about that no a lesson that's true but if I physio's telling you're up for four weeks at rangers in the go of lesson boss say damn it for four weeks I can only play 45 minutes in the next three months that's accepted and it just it's mind-blowing and the smart physio says that you're going to be out for four weeks but I'm going to get you back two weeks yeah exactly come on and what about Danilo as well we need to speak about Danilo and also another gaff the backroom and the marketing exec who came in he had been involved at Celtic Celtic fan apparently some social media stuff he's gone so that he only lasted a few days but Craig all that was all part of the rangers fans must be thinking what the heck is going on at the football club well and that's the thing I think majority of the conversation at the moment is is not even about the football team no what is it it's about the stadium it's about you know Edmondston house yeah it's about this particular situation about potentially somebody that's come in due diligence not being done the range of interviews well yeah there would be some pieces that come out from that about Morelos the focus it seems to be away from what is the real important thing and what fans pay their hard-earned for to go on see the team and support and that's the team quick break and then we're back there's more oh wait oh wait 17 17 700 this is the go radio football show listen anytime whatever you get your podcasts let's go let's go you can call us leave a voice note if you want to know what's up yeah voice note but he said don't bother the voice notes for him he's not particularly into that oh wait oh eight seventeen seventeen seven hundred do you do the voice notes i do enjoy a voice note actually yeah it saves a lot of time you know when you're on the go and it's just a thought of replying a longer message um if you got a voice for that you go along with us i think i do say different yeah voice it's almost usually a party that just can't not speak differently um but i've actually got one of my best mates over in Australia because of the time difference i've an extended voice notes always a good way to keep in touch so i do enjoy it but i'm not surprised that it's not Barry's cup of tea to be honest great what's the voice note i'm across it i use a lot because sometimes again just a text message it seems harder you can get more information across shoot it away use it very often pull i'm not surprised that go radio are moving with the time so that's something that's cutting edge absolutely absolutely see the number of people down loading uh for and getting the podcast huge huge yeah absolutely enormous getting a good feedback from people i was at the Dundee kill walk at the weekend i quite a number of them tune into the program and the the great city of Dundee the weather was fantastic with 4200 walkers yeah that was in some days yeah the weather was brilliant brilliant and then brought the ferry do you know who i saw who was there who was one of the top strikers in Scotland Simon Murray he was there yeah i think he was supporting some people and a former Dundee United great Celtic player as well Jim McAnally okay did you play against Jim McAnally you must have i tried to wind me up on one of my debut i had one debut but he tried to wind me up i think i played being off-engine so there's been a stoppage to play yeah and it was our throw and he was kind of going listen son you got to throw it back that way you know all right let's try it out very good very good i've got friends actually doing near them back out what brilliant September 50 years now growing just create generate so much money it's amazing yeah it's outstanding yeah Dundee's 660 000 so far well it's just really Dundee so it's really good people and grateful and you know what it's a tartan tonic that's what we were saying in monday so much bad news in the world you know it was a great piece in the courier yesterday i think and they said look so many things you know you see groups of people these days people worry about it down south in Dundee it was a kill walk and it was amazing people all shape sizes or whatever if you walk three four miles or the 20 miles but for every single charity yeah the Edinburgh one i see Hibbs signed up quite a few today and they you know they're foundationed last year they had 350 and the manager was the enigma government he was a new manager and then they stood there um 350 of them and some they're from hearts as well but Hibbs is a big time no they're gonna clubs are good that way yeah because we are thinking the hearts foundation as well front center as well and the women's teams are always part of that as well which is fantastic the Glasgow teams as well but not in the numbers that there are through in Edinburgh anyway um what's the headlines tonight? Miyoski you know he's gone we talked about him yesterday good money for Albert Dino Craig i would think it's about four and a half million plus two million odds it's six point five million bit more like a realistic figure yeah and look at this i think 25 year old international player proven goalscorer is a really good age so obviously jirona are going to get huge value also um but it's good for the Scottish game you know players that are coming even outside of range and Celtic doing well getting the right amount of money Paul i think it's important for the game absolutely i think that's a bigger picture when you look at it if you're in Aberdeen for example when you're trying to sell the dream to a player come to Scotland come and play whether it's 18 months two years come and do the business put yourself in the the short window bring success to the club we were happy to sell you if the price is right you move on to bigger and better things and better your career and Bojan Miyoski was a joy you watch um have you you know taught performing in Scotland goalscorer class act as well and it'll be missed you know because he was a top player um but again jirona not a bad move for sure exactly it's absolutely better than his well then up north there sure for Matt O'Reilly at Atlanta back in with a fifth offer i mean as we know last night the rupic entry almerdred just two nil um you know super cup it's phenomenal level but they're in with what what way at the moment 23 and a half million pounds so it's not too far away Celtic looking at 25 million probably quite rightly when this started people were i don't think anyone thought it would be like not many thought it would be 25 million will he go will he stay in Scotland you'd love him to stay maybe you not as a Rangers legend but he's a formidable player will he go Celtic fans what did he need i know they've got Paulo Bernardo in but he's not Matt O'Reilly i mean Matt O'Reilly wasn't what he is now when he came in for a million and a half what three years ago Celtic fans what you're looking for central defense cover as well for Greg Taylor what else do you want he need another striker as well so oh eight oh eight seventeen seventeen seven hundred Luke McCowns been mentioned we know hebs were in for him but they're in with a third transfer offer today waiting to find out if Dundee would look at that and Celtic have been mentioned they're monitoring the situation they and could you see Luke McCown interesting Celtic that's a strange one for me i think he's a he's a brilliant player i've watched him at the the time covering the championship as well he's now captain and Dundee doing really well catching the headlines as well for all the right reasons but i don't see where he fits in at Celtic and i don't see that being i don't think he would ever knock back the move to go to Celtic but i don't see him going to Celtic in plain and awful look you look at him the now he plays weekend week out he's a 90 minute player he's thought the odd games this season he's a key player um hebs i think all show linked with him so that would be a more realistic one that he would go to hibs and he would play and again he would be challenging for top six potentially top four if hibs can get themselves back to the levels that we've seen them over the years but what a good bit of business is where that would be for Dundee not that they would want to lose him of course no what i start Dundee if i'd you like Luke mccone i remember you mentioned last week keg yeah i look i like Dundee in terms i think they have a decent team with some good attacking type of players um so yeah for me i'm a little bit lightly and though i think that the reality of where he will end up is more along the lines i've been hibs um and i think that you know Dundee would be in a position position where they received some decent money for him because in him account started off a season extremely well as have Dundee can they hang on money will talk in the end poll and i think he could potentially be a hibs player if you're near the sky tv a sky tv there is adam eta in the new seltics top uh top for this season it was uh an open secret that he was coming it was finally announced last night that he's going to be here the Irish International what a whirlwind what six months for him since he came late in the transfer window okay seven or eight months ago it's phenomenal Norwich didn't want them they reckon what maybe three four million he's uh eight and a half plus add-on player daniel came to range us with great expectations we know he had a terrible injury last year leanne you mentioned him earlier on he didn't appear he didn't come on the other night um in the game against the animal kef the manager was asked about the absence of the player dani always at that kind of work look when the moment he came in uh when he came into the club here so i've been watching him long time uh i wanted to get him to brooch when when he was in aix then he was not playing there and he had that walk also in that moment so nobody needs to worry about that no there's nothing going on with him and today i wanted to put him in that was the idea but then the circumstances of the game were not there but people will see him the next couple of weeks they don't need to worry about it it's just about seven months out that you need time to to to gain much fitness and then the right moments to to get these minutes and it depends also from the scenarios of the game in that situation that was him after the game leanne what are you thinking the kid don't know wins a more appropriate time uh put a striker on other than a champion's a qualifier that you're behind in the game and you've not got many striking options on the bench to the point that you end up with centre back up top that that type of decision is like a thing in the past that's where you're going through your six foot four centre back up top and going just start hitting long balls to them like i just don't think that i don't think those types of statements will wash for very much longer um if i can put it that way for philip clamon and the rangers support i just don't see it happening the nylos you'll see probably was brought to rangers to play with he was brought with high hopes yes he had a couple of bad injuries last season that have kept him out if he's on the bench again and you're looking at a very young bench as well there wasn't a lot of options another strange one is the fact that scott right plays is as much as he does at the weekend and he doesn't come off the bench when you're again chasing goals and you've got an attacking player there um just a few things there that just don't really add up great what should take first of all denilo well again look i know denilo's been out seven months but that's the whole start of injury end of injury so there's there's obviously work that you're doing between that to get yourself ready to play and be involved in matches surely surely the club have got into that stage yep um you know and then again i understand matches minutes and all that sort of stuff yeah but it's like experience surely get up by actually giving experience the only way he's gonna get his match minutes is by giving him match minutes it's just for me it's it's in riddles a little bit you know um the the the the selection uh process i mean look the manager that's why he's paid the the big money but at the same time you know you're there to be questioned when when you're kind of seeing the the scenarios i mean denilo for me even at five five and a half million whatever range is paid for him look i think he's a good player paul right he he looked as if he was starting to find his feet before you know he he got his injuries um is he going to be a prolific goalscore i never had that feeling even when i was getting the earlier sites and all that sort of stuff so there's a lot of hard work that that lies that lies ahead um but again i just for me i love to comment the start because he was very easy to understand he was really easy to understand it was very direct after make a bill it seemed yeah it was very direct it was very assured it was uncomplicated whereas i just feel recently as if again just talking a little bit around in circles and and sometimes that can trip you up and i just feel as if at this moment in time we're all seen that rangers are not foreign and all cylinders that players aren't performing uh we understand that the money may not be there in terms of the players coming in but again you can't you can't treat people like fools people are watching the games it's like that type of statement is where people don't need to worry well the rangers support are worried because they're now out of the champions like qualification so champions league is gone for another season i'm sure the people at the club are worried because financially that's a huge amount of money a huge windfall that rangers could have had to go to the champions league so that that's just a silly statement for me because people are worried they clearly are worried um and Craig's spot on like De Nilo must surely be at a point if he's included in a on the the match they've scored and he's on the bench and he's there and he's going through match they warm up and pro go but he's at least get some amount of minutes in the time a level of fitness that would allow you to play for it and he might go come on and make a huge impact in the game but if he comes on and choose the range of fans see him and they're always back that gives you a lift as well you may be able to choose the night going well at least it's a positive De Nilo's back we've got another striking option news is next we're back for the next hour oh wait oh eight seventeen seventeen seven hundred this is the gore radio football show listen live weeknights from five on go let's go this is the gore radio football show listen anytime whatever you get your podcasts call oh wait oh wait seventeen seventeen seven hundred I'll give you a couple of names Scott McTomany and Billy Gilmer we have the Billy for Napoli but Scott McTomany's been mentioned today as well not confirmed yet we know that boom we're in for him big time west hand we're also reported to be interested but he stayed at menu and well could he be on his way to Napoli so what place to go there down the Amalfi Coast Craig you'll know it well as a world traveler yes I do and it's just interesting isn't it the to see how the the relationship at the moment between Scotland and Italy is playing out a lot of a lot of players now oh not a lot but yeah a few players younger players going out they're doing extremely well certainly the eyes of the Italian decision makers are firmly here in Scotland so okay McTomany and Billy playing down south but the the moves are hickey and Doyg Lewis Ferguson obviously coming out of the the Scottish League so very very interesting and McTomany and Billy Gilmer Italian football as it's exciting now as well I remember watching it back in a day and whereas on a Sunday probably with a Coca-Cola watch another balls club and all that and it was one nil when the game was one the other game was done yeah shut up shop whereas now it's real entertaining stuff but that's actually really good football to watch the art of defending he was a gazeta that's it's going on Saturday morning and taxi driver a couple of years ago in Rome and he was the latsio for how grass goes lats go rangers and he's gone a bit gazza and all the rest of it so listen it's I think the Italian market now they're they're looking at Scottish players Scottish bass players Scottish players in England fine but the Italian league is getting stronger as well and it's a as a top top league in listen to Lewis Ferguson speak just still a man fairing there's seven Italian clubs that secured European football as well when you look at it in terms of the Europa league the conference league Napoli finish what 10th was it last season as well so they're going to be one of the sides are looking to certainly push into those European sports as well not an awful lot between many of the clubs but what a place to go in and live and play your football a slightly better than Glasgow and Manchester yeah I know we spent a day in Naples during this it's it's a madhouse but yeah it was great so top published in three million and but they love their football you see the stadiums quite old now the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium they're so proud of it and the team yeah I have to have your wits about you though oh you do yeah absolutely right Scottish players with this ain't it street wise St Maren and Kelly kicking off around now in fact the games have kicked off will keep you right up to date you know the story troms are 2-2 with Comannock from last week and St Maren 1-1 with Brann we'll bring you any news on the first half what was still on air here at the Go Radio football show but so many comments coming in from Rangers fans really worried about what's happening and Celtic fans were you're pleased to see Adam Ita first class signing for Celtic Craig looking at you first of all about Ita and I mean the question is at Kayogo he got that injury at the weekend we know that and he's not going to play two up front Izzy but I suppose you need two top strikers yeah and and and also I would say two different type of strikers and clearly that's the situation now that Celtic find himself in look either the the guesswork has been done because he come into the team last season he showed that he can be a very important member of the football club he's big he's strong he scores goals and clearly from the the clips that we've seen since the announcement he's absolutely delighted to be at the club so he's going to have a big season like it says he does score goals isn't it there's no guesswork you know it keeps himself fit in the sound then he's going to be banging in the goals this season which again is a challenge for the other clubs pool here's what Brandon Rogers said or on Sunday after the game about Kayogo's injury yeah he had I think his shoulder when he went in and obviously the guys just tried to put it back in again but he's he's felt the pain so we didn't want to risk that so hopefully it'd be okay in a couple of days here were his thoughts on the game still top of the do you want to say something they're sorry just a shoulder injury as into the Kyogo again I thought that was something that he was going to be operated on out of season hasn't happened no didn't I don't think it just feels like it's it's never gonna go away just a constant buffer here's the manager's take on the game given that Celtic of course nothing middle of the week for them because they've got no qualifiers she's been in Rogers we'll always demand to score goals but I think in going into the game you know when you look at what we have we have a win a mentality and quality and that combination is a really good it's the best combination you can have in football to win games so we showed that two excellent goals first goal into the depth great pass by Nick and then he actually gets on the end of it which we're encouraging him to do and get in more to the second post um could pass be James in and obviously the uh the second goal is is that sheer cheer quality sustained the attack in the final third come out and then Kalam has got that massive quality that's a great finish so but we'd other chances to to close the game out didn't quite do that and um but yeah I thought overall it was it was a very good performance more on that in the second brand are one up already so they're the favorites in the game so they're two one up and we've played what ten minutes they're a brand one St Marin Nell on Celtic this weekend it's hips again a ham's quite a lot doesn't it in the cup but this time last year it was come on it can the lead cup and Brendan Rogers had never known a failure in a cup competition in Scotland but it happened late August last year what about this weekend yeah it was a surprise wasn't it last season um I'm sure Brendan Rogers will be desperate to right the wrongs of last season because it probably put him under a bit of pressure in that can early part of the season hebs certainly not firing in all cylinders as the the season's gonna kick off they look like they're kind of aside in limbo if you like you can understand why they're targeting the transfer window and looking at a couple of key players to try and bring in and kind of enhance their squad I seen Dylan Venta is going out in loan as well which probably a strange one as well because they had spent was at 900,000 they had spent on him which was a lot of money for him to be spending and certainly he's now one that's going out the door so it shows you what David Gray perhaps thought about him and the impact that he could have in the squad but no Celtic will be desperate to just kind of keep up those winning ways come the weekend and they'll wake up duties and move on which expect to see them signing in the next two weeks in two days Leanne? Celtic yeah um probably the areas that we've discussed left full back um Greg Taylor probably just needs a bit of support in that area if Matt really goes you would imagine that another can uh almost like but you know one that can unlock the door I'm into other that can come in that crate of midfields or a bit like a I'm out of right now we've touched about Arnie Engles earlier on you know one that kid whether they're going to spend that type of money and in replace you know if Matt really goes you've got a fair bit of money there that could certainly be spent one of his friends has said he's told one of the networks that he would love to go to Celtic now this could be a taxi driver who told something told somebody so it's not breaking news at night exactly um we spoke a bit upfront you know Adamida I just commend that was one that we thought last Thursday certainly when I was on we'd be a bit of business that Celtic would take care of so there'll be two or three key areas for me um says what's said on the front as well yeah said that last week just can't avickers obviously injuries that he picked up you're kind of banking on him and in Liam's scales at times some reinforcements I don't think you can have a go wrong we're having three or four really good centre backs at a club I think uh Paul I sent her back definitely I'm sure they'll be in the market for that um and a replacement for Arley when that happens but obviously that'll always already be in in motion um but I think you're going to see you know quite a few players leave also before the end of the window yeah um some of them don't want to go it seems like lega beel cuts just not happened navroski because they're pretty well paid because between them they were what seven millions quite a lot of money we spent last summer just as Brendan Rogers was coming in so they they were all in motion weren't they I see coin I know he's not he's gone yeah yep so yeah for us he doesn't see any of this in the last season great move for him yeah to just go and play regular football he's also had a good age and he just wasn't going to play in Celtic so it's a good opportunity for him to get that football under his belt yeah the golf is massive Craig isn't it yeah obviously it is in Rangers with not even said at the start of the season just two weeks ago you're saying right well Rangers still they better get four and a half million if Rangers had won the other night yeah so even if they hadn't gone through four and a half five million can we call it five it could have bought you a striker yeah for example I think the concern the concern and the disappointment I think is is not just for the supporters what's happening today I think it's been something that's happened now for you know two three seasons that they just feel as if the priorities of the people running the football club and not necessarily the right priorities and that's about the team you know like I said the the investment off which is great and needs to happen and I understand all that sort of stuff they would then need work done to it then yeah that's great yeah yeah you know so again timing is important but you know Edmondson House the money that was thrown to that it was that something that was required there and then understand in terms of history and all those kind of things but you're in a position on the back of winning the title stopping Celtic win in 10 in a row that's a time when I think they needed to be more aggressive more aggressive in the football team and to continue to strengthen and I just felt as if that they took the foot off the accelerator and they've been not only caught up being well and truly overtaken at this moment of time Kelly are one up yes in terms of Joe Wright has scored in 11 minutes remember Saints are a goal down a lot in there for us to unpack what you mentioned but you know the directors though but they don't want a successful Rangers I guess they're balancing between work that had to be done in the stadium I mean it's going spectacularly not the way they would have wanted it just now to do with the what's going on at the moment in the stands still no word of wind that'll open but Leanne the word projects has been used quite a lot but I mean I heard Chris Boyd saying last night you can't have a project it's not going to work at Rangers not going to give you enough time but you do need to there needs to be real change at Rangers but that doesn't always give you immediate success no it doesn't look there's any businesses always that can a period of uncertainty every business will go through Rangers is no different as a football business but timing is everything you know and that is probably where over the last number of seasons Rangers have had catastrophic disasters when it comes to the types of decisions that have been made at key points i.e. now the stadium yes there may be was what can be done but could you really afford to come off the back in last seasons disappointment not being at iberics at the start of the season when the negativity then certainty and will fill up the moment it came in and looked to have changed things after Michael Beow and the disaster that that was but i just think there's people behind the scenes at Rangers that are not getting it right and they're getting it wrong a hell of a lot more often than they are getting it right and we've seen that in recent seasons now there's a theme development and i don't think that will change i don't think the club will change until those big big changes and that's going that needs to happen for the greater good of the club because as i say the fan base and and everything that that rangers are in scottish football as well they're they're no taller they won't tolerate these types of mishaps um you never have time no yeah exactly and that's where you know the base clubs and in the base ran businesses are the ones that they'll have a success but can almost give it their business quietly as well whereas i feel just now there's too much chat coming you know from rangers post game in and around the club what's going on behind the scenes and there's nothing if i real can set a positive consistency and it makes it really difficult you know because you then you fluctuate as i'm saying i was at hamdering Saturday 45 minutes i watched rangers on the park and thought not this looks like a team that i'm kind of moving in the right direction and then the same 45 looks completely different then yeah didn't you choose the night again with the optimism for scottish football that could be another scottish club getting to the champions league that would be fantastic and then you just look at things unfolding and all the refereeing decision that we've spoke about was um a terrible one at that but still i think rangers said that practically so an umbrella group of rangers supporters has fired a withering blast at the senior management at the club warning they will not stand on the sidelines that's the quote and the rangers supporters association slammed what they call quote incompetence over senior management decisions in a strongly worded statement they said um as we updated in july we remain hugely concerned about the general running of the club at board and executive level it seems that every decision implementation has some sort of incompetence attached to it so pretty withering there from the rangers fans you can get four you can get one or two wrong decisions yeah you just can't continually get things wrong i mean and that's that's not even and i was topical at the time we're forgetting about the money that could have been made off around and and more else yeah i mean that that in itself as well was and was mind-blowing our rangers never found or had the ability to cash in on that situation so this is these are things that are that are really starting to to hurt now because the money isn't there but there should have been a far stronger position i think that there's too many layers in regards to the the whole decision-making process i think it needs to be cleaner i i think um that is a real concern for supporters in terms of you know who who are making the decisions um where is the the football nous within that um everyone you know the rangers supporters love the football club they're throwing a lot of money at the football club they want to see the club being run properly and the feeling is it's it's not you know so that's why i can understand in terms of the gaps the other needs at humpton yeah well and what 39 000 potentially was it i mean again i can't remember seeing lack of of crowds and support for the football club in my time i also think it's a it's a difficult one just now mid transfer window and the chat around james tavney for example he's gone quite quiet there was a lot of chat about whether he would move on on it could you imagine you know before the close of the transfer window that rangers sale james tavney as well at a point where the players that are on the pitch are not quite good enough the players that are on the bench are not fitting available the players that are sidelined don't appear to be you know back any time soon and then you've got a player that in james tavney for example he's always fit he's always available he's always on the team sheet he scores more so he goes you can see it happening because that's the type of decision that would not surprise you it rangers just now you know the non-apposition to sell them but they would sell them perhaps to take the money and at the club it's just as you say five million cannot be sniffed at Tuesday night you know it would have been five million better off um in clamont it's tailing people not to not to worry and and i would love to have known sorry and i would love to have known the conversation that was had with jack butland yeah and the the hierarchy um how he was convinced uh because again we're talking we're talking about tavney they imagine imagine been coming for for buttland oh he's that he's pro another one you know butland and tavney do the two you know that's it if you like absolutely i mean buttland i'd probably say wait he's a hundred percent to have whether or not you know clubs feel maybe at his age that they they want to invest that kind of of money but again there was a conversation there which i would have loved to have been a flaw in the wall of it was a strange one wasn't it i mean conversations go on he's a senior player 31 year old it's been an england cap it came up everyone we're pleased to see him here the manager said start of the summer he's not going anywhere um but it was i thought it was a bit strange at least i always think it's great when players speak it's really good news good for the fans you mentioned alfredo marvellas and you're absolutely right it came up last night big time with banny and peter i remember rangers fans couple years ago giving peter grant um criticism on this show when he came out and he had a real goal marvellas and i'll tell you why he said he plays for one of the you know the great football clubs and one of the biggest football clubs rangers and he's disrespecting them and people pretended they hadn't come back overweight he did anyone could say every trip he missed two he missed two champions league qualifiers yeah and there was silence when we said it silently i couldn't believe it how they yeah you could have been in a champions league um this was three four seasons ago he he missed he'd been with columbia he hardly played and then didn't come back your training and it was kind of ignored that the fans are were short changed on that i just feel as if though for the again i'm only looking him from the outside i don't have private information or anything like that but looking him from from the outside sorry the it's not it's what what's happening at rangers as a football club as a whole is not is not in sync right and what i mean but so you're talking about the marvellas and the kent scenario and all sorts of stuff that for me should be um the players representatives manage our financial decision makes at the club same by the way we all agree that there's an exit strategy and it looks like this so all of a sudden everyone's pulling in the same direction to get the same result it's almost as if there's ideas but they're just not communicated to the key stakeholders in terms of that that possibility of of executing a deal you know for me the players that you have their their assets we talk about loyalty and the game lots of stuff and look i get it i was at the club for 12 years and all that but in today's game that that's not going to happen players are going to come and go at football clubs coaches staff are going to come and go at football clubs so the idea is when that price is is at the hottest and at its highest then that's when you need to be looking to do business you know someone there are like players that Todd Cantwell you know kind of what's going on with that just now Janice had you yeah you know players that range us are still paying wages and they need creativity sorry yeah exactly you know like so i just think i understand and maybe clamon is taking a firm approach players don't want to be there they don't want to play for the club they want to play whereas historically looking at Alfredo marvellas he clearly pushed the boundaries every time you know there was umpteen seasons that you're going your house you get more lives in a cat here because you know your range of teams in the past Craig i'm sure he would have been put out the door he would have been told where to go there would have been players that would have read the right act that that would have just not been tolerated but you were late for training that you were posted missing that you were coming back overweight those types of things just would not have happened so that then is a standard set as it ranges that have allowed that standard to drop um but i Todd Cantwell for me you know he blows heart and cold he's brought a bit like marmite some love him some meeting you know he maybe he's got some good TikTok followers i don't know um but what i do know is that when you're a business and you're paying money for a product he's training me what the reserve for it yeah as far as we know yeah so it's just that's all a bit strange as well you know when you're needing results on the picture and you're maybe lighting bodies as well you've got a bench that 40 percent was filled with young players interest right and Janice Haji you mentioned played in the euro it's just weeks ago yeah and i know there's a report contract there's a contract he might have to be paid a lot more if he plays one more i don't know if that's true but look there's five million that stake the other next or whatever it is it won't be five million range of crying out for creativity somebody in the midfield aren't they the crying out for somebody i mean there's probably a few positions and they'll cry out for but certainly in terms of career you know what yes creativity i mean lauren's on his day is a good player but it's the consistency it's a lack of consistency it's not as if rangers don't have players that are that are capable um it's like us it's that consistency that is required to not win a game to to win trophies you know like i'm talking about the marathon scenario here it's been able to do it regular and and that consistency hasn't been there you look at the i think it was a first goal Tuesday night with Tom Lawrence as well jumps over the ball you know what you're looking at thinking i know it was a decent strike left foot jack butlam was was incited so you know i think given a bit of chance but Tom Lawrence has literally jumped at the way the ball you're going you need people to put bodies in the line here this is champions league that's at stake um either just seems to be a lot of wasted money it ranges just now a lot of players that are are certainly there in the periphery you've got somebody like Danilo who we've discussed you know i hell of a lot tonight but it's sitting there in the bench unused and you've got other guys that count well and had you for example that are again posted missing for different reasons quick break coming up kelly are three two up and aggregate at the moment that's the good news one up over there and tromzo st marin gole down at the moment this is the go radio football show listen anytime whatever you get your podcasts let's go this Thursday evening it's the go radio football show thank you for making the switch polka lee here with leanne crayton and craig murr leanne last weekend good win for you for motherless and pick score lines in the women's football for the top teams there was um good job for us a week spartons tuffing you to go into the park went one now down actually started the game really well went one down managed to to claw it back two one half times spartons went down to ten players just probably ten minutes or so before half time and then we came out the same half dominated um played some really good stuff actually we're looking at in a good place which is growing at this stage of the season to be kind of feeling ready normally you're at a point where you're still looking at trying bringing one of two players to strengthen and maybe you're without one or two but we're in a good place so long way that continue but at home term and trolls this weekend but you're right big score lines last week and discussed it were we're each alone the podcast um the beginning of the weekend just thinking i hope it's down to the fact that a lot of the pro clubs just now are coming off the back a warm way they're camps they've been together there for a lot more contact time the park time clubs don't have that same facility they don't have that same resource to be together um your rangers and celtics have probably spent more time together in a week than a lot of the the park time clubs have spent together in six weeks so it's a huge gulf and there's a lot of kind of the bigger teams have got big squads just now with players that will eventually go out in loan before the transfer window closes and that will then strengthen the teams in the bottom half of the table so big score lines i just don't like to see it but i just don't think it looks good for the game i mean glazgo city where or seven of them and trolls hearts were a living one nearly promoted Queen's Park as well and um we actually had Craig Goist the Queen's Park women's manager on the podcast and and Tuesday's well so just really tough you know listening to him and the job that you're trying to do there as well but you're always fighting fires that's the the reality you don't want the gap to get too big that you know the bottom half the table really straightforward it's not good for it yet not for not those score lines uh but it's good to say see sorry Leon that you're saying that the back end of the the window lots of stuff then players will be so i moved it out it always happens you see it the main scheme as well um the big clubs hold on to the the 26th you know players squad and then when they realize what they need they don't need then they'll start to to loan them out but um that's in each other game my grand daughter Maria was playing at the end of last season she's back i think this weekend is uh she's loving it yeah she's only eight so it's great it's great it's great to see it sunday morning Ross is on a big Celtic fan hi Ross good evening hey hi Paul we are and Craig hope you guys are all doing good hi Ross all good thanks how are you i'm all right i'm good um the point one to me tonight is obviously the recent news about the the fan allocation forward there yeah the next two fungames yeah um matter of fact that's appointed in Celtic to be honest now again the angels are stated at the again i don't know if it's from that they can't come back to the the safety measures they whatever a Celtic going there in and in december a new year yeah but i think for Celtic why don't we become the bigger person and just say well we can commit to it so we'll commit to having the fans there in august and bring back battles from atmosphere because i think Celtic are basically just spiting they'll just basically cut the nose off the spider face and i think the majority of Celtic fans actually do enjoy having the range of fans at Celtic Park and it brings that atmosphere and i'm just about disappointed that we're going to be back to no fans again and i just i think it just ruins again ruins up well kevin was one earlier a Celtic fan and he said but i know some Celtic fans saying nope if we're not allowed in at ibrookes then they're not coming here but Craig you did say in the first time i think you agree we'd love to see it get back should Celtic difficult for you you're a range of legends i mean look again i understand what you know it would be it would be fantastic if if so if so did you say you know what okay well we've got the ability to do that um sorry and make that embarrassed rangers or whatever it is to see get it sorted out for january certainly would be bad publicity facilities like that um you know but again pull i always go back to my first ever experience of this particular match now i hadn't signed that rangers at the time so i was coming over and i was on trial from australia and it was a semi final of the league cup i think and it was a 50/50 split that i was and i and i was absolutely blown away now i know those days have gone off that percentage in terms of unless you get to a cup final what is this a hunted it was actually an ibrookes it was that i was waiting for naked it was it was back in 93 yeah 93 season and but it was it was incredible pull it was just incredible i'll come away and i was like going back to australia the other side of the world telling all my mates about this unbelievable game of football that that i've seen i just love to see it getting back to that was a midweek game i know you're asking questions to see yes because i think i remember it yeah you know what i mean it was my turn it was a random yeah it's a very different score then why would seltica have made that decision maybe we'll hear from seltica because if they've got things ready why don't you just go ahead seltica you know as ross said just do it be bigger than whatever i don't just mean rangers just come on just i think you're right ross i think it is just cutting your nose off despite your face you know where you could make it happen but you're looking across the city they might not they're not gonna replicate it you know if they're not doing it we are not doing it that's just the way it goes and as i say they're so petulently Scottish football that's where we find ourselves you know as much as we want to go on about and sell the game and as i say they're lere on you're trying to have key stakeholders investing Scottish football you're trying to make it better we're demanding that there's more coverage there's more games on tv that we're trying to get fans in the stadium then we're trying to get fans in the stadium we don't want them in the stadium and you look at stadiums around the country weekend on weekends they're not selling out every week you know so there's a possibility it's possible to make it happen i grew up with that that fixture you know in looking at it as Craig describes 50/50 splits and at least the minimum you know buying the goals away allocation seltica rain just fans up there in the corner whatever it was um i would just like to see it back if we want to go on about it and and describe it as a game that we go on about it then you need the fans you need to man the way fans at these games and both clubs need to make it happen whether that you know happens in awards the the second part of the season when these first two fixtures are out the way i would like to think that you could rise above it all and really put it right or could the league do something maybe they've been on to it today maybe we'll find out tonight tomorrow they've sorted out they've used their muscle and said sort out but i mean the league is made up of the clubs i know that and the the big two are very powerful Ross any other thoughts then either he's here who's coming next Rob Paul I was on all week and i was starting to get through when i was saying that i just wanted done and dusted and do you know what so you get so you're getting that news today that he's actually saying that he's here um i'm actually i'm absolutely deleted i'm glad he's back and and i just hope Celtic can now kick on and we can focus but um i still believe i think maybe we need an hour left back um coming in just to kind of have cover for Greg Taylor but i don't know if we are not creaking come in here but actually sweet fans of the boy to have all been to the boy Jack Mackenzie i think he would be happy to tell to us cover um i think i've watched obviously have all been in the last couple of games um at the start of the season and i thought the boy Mackenzie looked really really good i i think he behaved i think he could do a job domestically for this so again i went back for me and then maybe and i'm a midfielder just in case we also lose a really ample which i said yeah actually thank me mate loser really i think i think about this coming but whether that that comes or no is a different story well the bids are in it's what 23 and a half million they're not that far away Leon would you make of Mackenzie there you decent shout um i think you're spot on it's certainly domestically you could do a job probably last season when Aberdeen were working through their troubles he was still one of those players that was kind of performing for me um up against it i think he's got different he's got other levels in his game he's only 24 as well so certainly a bit of developing still there to be done and if you're at a team that's healthy i think you've got the ability to to go and develop a space i mean most games you dominate the ball as well and certainly to tidy up but i've got a feeling so to go look somewhere in a bigger market probably out with Scotland i think Bek was mentioned that's exactly what he's about to ask you yeah do you like him? I lost him i thought he was brilliant yeah it was really good he was really good um and Liverpool looked to be offload in a few other yeah can i younger players as well um get him on to John Hartson bing John can sell it to him Welsh legend as well because he's a Welsh international player i know exactly he was really good he was really good um so i and again those are Scottish gaming stuff and and he's been here so you can understand if there's truth behind that discussion then that's the reason why i think the thing is with Taylor i understand that they need a backup one all right now but if Celtic wanted to be really brave and this is no disrespect to Taylor because he's a very good player and has done a good job they could go out and upgrade on that if they wanted to as well and there's there's no there's no doubt about that i think when they when you start looking domestically one you need to attract the right amount of money um you know and a player that's going to sit tight and and do they then transition to be a first-team player i think Celtic are in a position to really go and strengthen that rather than at the moment cover in terms of what's coming through i mean i don't know at this moment in time what they've got set up in the B team as well left full back situation have they got somebody coming through the academy the Matthew Anderson yeah Ross you know young Anderson possible Peter Grant was talking about him but um i don't i i don't i don't i don't know if i'm poor i'm not gonna add him but i think the only one in the B team i think that can i help over the boy is it natural frame it's played i can't agree right yeah good plan yeah um and again some friends he's a good player and and again i don't know if it's something it's Celtic could do in terms of trying to get him game time but i'm just thinking for me Greg Taylor's not a bad player he's not a bad but he's not a bad player and i think when we got him for command looks he was a good player and i think we've we've transformed him so i'm thinking could we all do that with Jack Mackenzie well he came from Aberdeen and yes he can do it domestically but i'm sure he could probably do a job again and we'll break the bank to get Jack Mackenzie but maybe spending a couple of hours i don't know how much the own back one was yeah all of you get f****** off i don't know if i'm looking at me i would look at back being one similar to a guarantee on it you know i don't know if Jack Mackenzie will go and hit the same heights but certainly for me own back with the potential that he looks to have just now even if you spend a fair bit of money on him just now i think you're just sailing on again comes into that matter early during my friend pong yeah as i say guarantee under those types of figures i think you could go if you really hit the ground running and i agree i think Greg Taylor's been outstanding and he will continue to be outstanding but i don't think you can get away from the fact that if you're looking to compete champions like you want to stay in this obviously the league the two cup competitions that you need about a rotation at your squad and that's probably the one position last season that Celtic didn't have a natural replacement or one that you could just naturally rotate and here's the thing Celtic had to tell the stock exchange last week the results when they come out will be better than expected that means a significant increase in what was expected and they've got tens and tens of millions in the bank and i know you could blow that you know in just a few crazy transfers and they would never do that but there is money there Brendan Rogers is ambitious the board surely ambitious yeah ranges struggling just now do you know what i mean Craig you can imagine i'm just they're not going to be silly with it they're still not going to be silly to spend it wisely do you think Brendan Rogers will have a couple of players maybe from England that he knows that he'll bring in yeah that maybe they're not playing all the time in England but could still come in and play in the champions league potentially and i think so too they will spend in the squad but also look at salty because we're the money that they must be spending to regenerate barifield you know as a training facility they've got the dome down there now there's a lot of work going on they're looking to try and upgrade the facilities as well similar to rangers they're investing in in i-brucks the stuff that they'll be discussed earlier on in the program but i think for salty there'll be two or three potential marquee signings where i think they will go in this window and spend you know five million plus which they've already done we're adding me to i think you'll at least see another two similar a bit more and there'll be players that will actually compliment the start and a living i don't think they'll be brought in as you know fringe players i think they'll look to try and get the ones out again we discussed earlier on the ones that are still picking up a salary that don't impact this squad that Brendan Rogers doesn't see being part of his future plans and that'll be it for salty care think it'll be good business Ross what's your score line what do you think this weekend hebs at home in the cup um i think it'll be a tough game but again i'm not gonna write off hibs because we'll also beat them at the weekend there but i think a salty can win to know when he gets through it in the next round i think that's all we're going to be looking for is to compete in the competitions and i know that this point lassi didn't be lost take a moment am i right in thinking right yep it is out so i think that might be in the back of Brendan's mind that we've had a cup shot before this level last season so let's make sure we're professional come sunday and we get through in the next round and we want to compete in competitions as much as we can um just i'll try and best practice i can guys but in terms of the champions like this here the new format my worry is salty going to compete and the champ is like brand new format because in the group stages we've had before you've also got a top tier a middle tier and no seb bottom tier but with this new format you just don't know what sort of team you're going to get we can reach out so salty need to be careful that if we are going to spend the money then we need to probably try and spend it wise i'm not saying going to spend nine ten million point three players and i think we need to strengthen that squad to compete in europe because we really want to become a laugh and stop every season in europe that's essentially what we are there now and i think that's an element of Brendan maybe needs to stay um and prove no i'm as a person i think just trying to get salty into that next phase in the champions league that's what we want to be and unfortunately you know but one more we'll know that. Ross great call thanks for that it's so true isn't it we all watch you know the champions league games you see them live and then you see that great program afterwards where they show all the games and then they shove in the Scottish stuff you know it was Celtic last season and then season before it was Celtic and Rangers and then they go oh well you know that we're slipping down the rankings no question that's not where you want to be. No and that's tough as well but like i said the you've got to be sensible in terms of what you're what you're spending to potentially what you can actually achieve within the tournament but i think you know with Celtic if every single line you know in terms of something in the defense something in the midfield another something up top if they look to those three areas then they're going to be in a better position and then it's a lack of the draw Paul in terms of what you know what comes out here. So St Maren a gold down as we head towards halftime but killy a goal up in their game with troms or we'll give you the halftime news very shortly Leanne Crichton's here so too as Craig Moore we've been talking arrangers been talking Celtic talking about St Maren and killy as well and all the teams as we look to the league cup i said to them last night Craig if you take away the big two yes have you got a name who do you think could be there let's say at the final if it's not the big two against each other who could maybe challenge all the way to the final in the premier sports cup the league cup this year i'm going to go with i think heart can be there there about and also as a second team i think could get deep into the tournament is i'll go with Aberdeen right i'll go with Aberdeen i don't know i've said that there's a little bit inconsistent i don't really know what i'm seeing with Aberdeen but i think they've got a roster that could could do something in that type of competition okay just looking for the half times it's not halftime yet what do you reckon so Aberdeen hearts yeah i definitely hearts i think they are stronger side than they were last season if they hold on to Lauren Shanklin which by all accounts it looks like they will um there's been no chat no no offer certainly put in for Shanklin from any Scottish clubs or any clubs out with um so absolutely he'll be there come on for example you know looking at them tonight i produced a cup shot last season um is it would have been viewed again Celtic seem to be in okay form this European result tonight if they could see this out and then and certainly progress in the competition i think it would keep the club you know moving in the right direction certainly were there at mechanics once the club to go and everybody behind the scenes so they could be there and they're about so although they do come up against mother well indeed on Sunday so i bet trade carefully for that one yeah and Dundee though they surprised hearts last weekend so yeah bit of a dr jake almost i had performance after you know did you perform against rangers in the first game but then they uh well they were pretty much first half yeah first half Dundee were were excellent in terms of taking their opportunities and i think there was also one ruled off right at the end of half so i've decided it could have been four in fact it was four nil they said but then it went to var and it came back see var down south are changing the handling of it again and they're saying it's come back to the referee they're trying to make sure the referees at the center of it and they're saying um they're not saying clear and obvious but the same yeah it should be the referee's word and var should only get involved if it really needs to get involved the trouble is land you know more of it farther than anyone in Scotland and that's so subjective exactly you know i think is something that they should obviously get involved in um the person in the var you know seat might feel definitely to that and the referee when the view after the game might feel definitely but at that Dundee or drifik just seeing that first came out i thought that'd be some game you're drew as well then what a result last Friday night I guess you're united there was the aircraft in the game i didn't believe it yeah i created it they're united but i was looking at you're doing thinking i don't know this could be a bit of a tough um patch for ris mccabes so i'm going up against a Dundee side as you say Paul they're in form but there's a few tasty ties good at home as well yeah they're good at home they're good value at home yeah i heard Tony dork speaking about the the dens pitch as well it was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons last season he said credit to the club they've invested the spent money in the pitch they've upgraded it he said it was looking immaculate at the weekends and obviously they would want to get a good result against arps isn't it brilliant to see the pitches at this time of the year i thought used to road looked amazing as well hammed and looked good yeah so i think part the other week obviously sadly we're not seeing eyebrows just now but you know the start of the season they look great yeah it's brilliant are you on 4g yes i know the home ground is isn't it yeah yeah i most of the pitches are yeah aren't they yeah the women's top flight i don't think there's any grass just now actually without us three the the top six from last season without a venue to start the season i know you said last week yeah there's other ones yeah as well but no look at your right it's brilliant pitches look great this time of the year but i also do think that come the end of the season it is realistic to think that the pitches could look not too bad and all the weather and Scotland is rubbish but the weather across the UK is also rubbish it comes down to resources and actually spend the money in your pitch having ground staff and having the correct materials um and machinery there to look after the pitches and make it easier for the ground staff so it is great i mean they look brilliant even on tv it looks so much better spectacle isn't it actually looking good even if the game's rubbish on it the pitch looks good in the stadiums packed you're on air winner for sure and i see your tendencies were brilliant the first couple of weekends quarter of a million virtually in the premiership alone Craig then so what about Aberdeen Queen's Park i guess you've given me the answer in the way i think i'm is there any jeopardy there for uh the dawns where the spiders coming up there i look Queen's Park are the calendares and the winner yeah calendares and well he's won a cup before exactly you know but look anything's possible in the cup competition but maybe Aberdeen might have too much up there which gets them through to a decent stage of the tournament life after me off ski just to tell you so komanik have gone in half time one up huge fromzo and bran i still won up against in marin but yes not a bad score line as well you know just still in the game exactly still in it lian what about that the patordi what do you reckon i Aberdeen um as i say Craig mentioned earlier maybe a little bit of inconsistency with Aberdeen just how they've started that can a league cup campaign and what not but i still think at home in um at patordi they'll have too much for queen's park Dundee against the archery with you i think Dundee yeah comfortably i think the scary thing for and lian don the game Reese McCabe's archery one two goals they folded like a deck of cards they'll bounce back and put in a better performance but i think Dundee will be too strong i think teams have kind of assist them have you back Craig if i'm being honest i think when they um are united right after them high press you know they want to play they want to play they want to play through the thirds but they forced so many errors out of them and they took the ball off them so many times so i would imagine that Tony dorkerti would have had some day across that game and certainly would have been doing some work on them some are set part look good as well it did very good i had the new stand and stuff down there as well i mean i'm for sure investment i know it was really good i was a nice yeah nothing we get to say it was a nice three than eight football but it was well it was a west end west FM which i launched and uh and the news came it's disappearing in September which was a shame so it's a pity there we are um Craig what do you reckon for folk at heart i think it's a great game i think it is a great game i mean look folk hook are still riding the way from last season you know what an incredible season it was undefeated the invincible insvincibles got off to a great start in the the championship this season home tie against hearts i mean it's going to be a great opportunity for them the crowds are going to be right behind their team but i think hearts are going to be too strong this match yeah yeah yeah which you're right and we've both tipped them but when you look at that fixture and you look at the way folk hook you've started the season and as you see all the positives they're strong side they're consistent from last season they've brought in a couple of additions and in hearts come off the back of that defeated Dundee as well there's actually quite a lot of pressure on the rider on it for nay smith and players but you're right i think they will probably edge it but it'll be a great game i think i've just no doubt okay the Spartans against Ross County but i'm going to go to the other game from Saturday the last of the Saturday games 545 rangers st johnson leanne uh it's quite a bit precious and johnson big win for them last weekends rangers the holders okay so johnson i was probably the one that was super critical of them last season and unsure where they were going and and then Craig Levine came in again about unsure of that appointment but they've started well they've got goals in the team as well which i think can be the difference to deby uh i think he got a double then at the weekend and i think any team that carries a goal threat will always cause you problems so it'll be interesting what sort of response you get from rangers an adventure some of the start and eleven looks like we didn't score a line i think rangers a legend yeah i think the legend at least by a goal um i think that will be the the mindset for rangers as i say the other just keep taking a long make sure you pick up point your three points and you progress in a cup Greg your old team have to win i have to have to win every every game mate they possibly go out and play at this moment in time even more so but i don't expect anything spectacular Paul i think that rangers will just shade this i agree with leanne but st johnston i mean i can't remember the last time that st johnston's team scored three goals um so that that will give them some kind of confidence going into this match what sort of crowd is going to be there yeah what would you say to the rangers fans because it's the big talking point what did you see look i mean to get out and support your team obviously the players at this moment in time um are feeling the effects of of of you know the results the the media that is out there every single day get behind your team fill the stadium hopefully because the players need confidence and they need backing and i've been in a position when confidence was low and i tell you what it's um it's not very nice at all it's very very tough so try and support the players as best you can well not go through st marin dundi united up at uh ten a days because st marin playing just now we'll talk about them tomorrow good luck st marin second half same with mother will come on actually are one up at half time as we know st marin a goal down Celtic against hebs so lian what do you think i think seltik will win comfortably um as i say i'm a bit unsure about his just now i'm not really sure what you're going to get i think they're a mixed bag and i think when the game's at the seltik park it's always a game changer so i would expect seltik to win comfortably at least a couple of goals adam eda from the start maybe yeah that's possible i mean seltik uh just recently against hebs out the first half seltik were excellent i mean that game could have been well and truly out of that it managed to so you've got to you've got to praise hebs in in regards to the resilience because it didn't blow out so they found a way to try and uh come out of the game with something to look forward to for this much but seltik at home will be will be too strong but i again i expect hebs to to make hard work of it but seltik got too many weapons thanks so much that's the two hours of coming going great thank you see you next week thanks so much here's Paul Leanne great to see you and baby Cameron and i look forward to seeing you next week good luck this weekend that's it good luck for St Maren's second half of the goal down and to kill a goal up we're back tomorrow night at five Barry will be here and peter this is the good radio football show listen live weeknights from five on go let's go
