Coming up on today's wrestling news, Vince McMahon's health is in serious decline. The Judgment Day members thought they were in serious trouble a couple of years ago. Why Zelina Vega is missing from WWE TV. And controversial AEW star receives high praise for his work thus far. I'm Adam Wilborn, I'm Michael Surtweg. And this is the news. Right, let's talk about Vince McMahon, because the recent report has come out by Lee Cole, brother of former WWE employee Tom Cole, and has revealed that Linda McMahon, obviously wife of Vince McMahon, has revealed that his health is constantly declining, Lee Cole apparently dropped this video on his official YouTube channel in which he stated that Linda had told people close to her that Vince McMahon's health was not good. Lee Cole saying, "Linda McMahon has been telling people close to her that husband's health has been getting progressively worse. Vince McMahon, the former owner of the WWE, was forced to step down six months ago after Janelle Grant, a former WWE employee, came out and said she was abused by Vince McMahon. B.S.'s health seriously declining. See your thoughts on all this. My thoughts. Well, to touch your subject, you know. So, I don't think I'm necessarily qualified to talk about this. So, instead, I'm going to pull up an article from psychologytoday.com. It is penned by Dr. Kirstie Lee Park in PhD. And the article in question is entitled, "Line to die. Why narcissists may lie about their health?" Three points, individuals who are high in narcissism may be more likely than others to fake being seriously ill or to fabricate a health scare. While the lies motivation isn't always clear, evidence suggests that it may be a way to exert control over others, gain desired attention or to boost the narcissist's reputation. Factitious disorders are generally born of the need for attention and sympathy. Those people talk about their illness openly, go to appointments, and even start fundraisers for themselves. Unlike hypochondriacs, individuals with factitious disorders know they are not sick, they are just good liars who crave the spotlight. Moving on to our second story. Damien Priest has had some things to say about the original judgment day in the manner in which he disbanded and his feelings on the matter saying that at the time was a 2022. That sounds right. 2022, and the original incarnation of the stable led by Edge was sort of not good, not well received. Adam Copeland himself has since said it was a misfire. He had some ideas, wasn't the most glorious chapter of his career. He wished the existing or the second incarnation of the judgment day that has now broke up again. All the best. He was a huge proponent of Damien Priest. Damien Priest has said that it was furious. What pay per view was it? It was in 2022. It was not a roar, I think, wasn't it? Yeah, they won at the pay per view. They won at the pay per view and then booted out Edge the next night. I think Copeland has since said look, they needed him to play babyface because there was a deficit on the Raw side or whatever. But Damien Priest genuinely thought he was on the chopping block. He was furious. I think Mad was the exact word that he used. He said Rhea Ripley was even more mad than he was, and he genuinely was apprehensive and concerned about his future in WWE. Fast forward there. Two years, and he was the World Heavyweight Champion, so it did, in fact, all work out in the end. Yeah, I mean, there was only two good things to come out of that original judgment day, and that was Edge's big chair and you think you know me? You never did. I love that because you think you know me, right? Surely that was itself, you know. The exact same thing had gone. Exactly. You think you know me. You do. I'm Mad on Copeland. You think you know me, correct. I'm Adam Copeland. I think the whole concept of the group of having a legend in there, having someone like Damien Priest who always just shown such potential from his time in NXT, of course, and someone like Rhea Ripley is a real force in that group. It always felt like it was a good idea. It was just the way the eccentric was so... The execution was so hulky. And then, yeah, the transformation that we've seen over the last couple of years was sensational. But you can understand in the moment when they... Yeah, I mean, they'd only created the group a few months back, and the people had joined, you know, you had Rhea Ripley joining and Damien Priest joining and the WrestleMania match, obviously, with AJ Styles. It's understandable that they would think, "Uh-oh." They've clearly invested a lot in this, and they've had to just completely change it or get rid of it, because A, it's not working, and, like you say, B, we need Edge to be a baby face now. And there was a chance, certainly under the old regime, that you'd be like, "Right, I really got a proper star as established in the fans. I was Rhea Ripley arguably, but we're just going to make you the heel group that loses all the time." But, yeah, look at what they've gone on to do, Rhea Ripley, obviously holding that championship for so long. As you mentioned, Damien Priest, World Heavyweight Champion, Tag titles as well. North American title for Dominic Mysterio, that's not forgetting all that. And he's an NXT troll as well. Yeah, so it really was, he's made like, he sort of, he moved that needle big time. It really is a great success, success story for them, and now they move on to be straight-traged. Straight-traged. What's the, didn't it just trademark something as well? Fatal influence. Oh, it did that. Maybe that could be something. The face is... Hey, I'm Ryan Reynolds. Recently, I asked Mint Mobile's legal team if big wireless companies are allowed to raise prices due to inflation. They said yes. And then when I asked if raising prices technically violates those owners to your contracts, they said, "What the f*** are you talking about? You insane Hollywood s***?" So, to recap, we're cutting the price of Mint Unlimited from $30 a month to just $15 a month. Give it a try at Mint Mobile.com/Switch. $45 up from payment equivalent to $15 a month, new customers on first three month plan only, taxes and fees extra. Speeds lower above 40 gigabytes of details. Three, just walk the store and look for those little yellow signs that mention low price. There's one next to the responsibly farmed salmon right now in the seafood department. There are so many ways to save at Whole Foods Market, and now you know. Right, let's bring you the latest on Zelina Vega. The good news is the reason that she is missing from WWE is not an injury. But, loads of people asking where she is, and apparently Peter Binsider reporting that, yes, it's not due to injury, and it's unclear as to why she hasn't been used, but the general consensus, according to Mike Johnson, who speculates on this, could be the fact that she's simply just selling the beat down she received last month at the hands of the new Pure Fusion Collective. These stable names stink. What should they be called, Michael Sidgwick? The Ministry of Starkness. Quite right. But, yeah, good news if you're a fan of Zelina Vega. She's not injured. It's just a storyline injury to her arm that shows she anyways. It keeps stamping on, basically. But, fingers crossed, your return soon really likes Zelina Vega, and I'm hoping for big things for her towards the end of this year. Indeed. I believe on Twitter/x that the pro non-boy, Zelina Vega and Liv Morgan have been going back and forth, maybe picking up that sort of thing that had a couple of weeks ago, that mini program on television. They had a match that was, like, shockingly well done with all the interference and the drama. So, I do that again. Zelina Vega has got absolute pattern out of the ass. She's got, like, that sort of vicious tongue. She can go with it. We've seen it in sort of, not so much on TV, but definitely on socials. Like, she's done watch-alongs where she's sort of, like, you cannot compete verbally. Then sort of draw that out of her and put that character on television. There could genuinely be a star there. Yeah. I mean, she certainly looked like a star of that backlash a year ago. Yeah. Getting sort of really developed that personality that she has, that really sort of almost cruel, biting, quick sense of humor. Get that on TV. I think there could be a star there, too. Absolutely. Best look to her and we'll keep you posted. As and when she's going to return. Absolutely. The last news item of today and the subject is the controversial, how, AEW sort of import. Tomohiro Ishii, who was one of the absolute best professional wrestlers on the planet, B of all time. PW Insider report that his work has been subject to extremely high praise within AEW. To such an extent that a lot of young wrestlers are studying him. They should have been doing that before he came over, but maybe it's better to do it up close and personal or whatever, you know, to pick his brain backstage. My take on this before I get yours very quickly is that for my subjective tastes, Tomohiro Ishii is an absolute legend of professional wrestling. There's nobody of few others who can convince me in the throws of the drama that God is dead. He's absolutely done for and then, oh my God, he's come back to life. He is the Lazarus of professional wrestling. And you'd think after the first few times, Art's just his sort of trick. It's his way of getting the crowd on board. It feels real every single time. He's Lazarus, the way he can come back from the dead. He's an absolute genius. And if you do not like, okay, that particular style. And it's not for everyone. That fighting spirit style, the strong style, the delayed selling, the fire up, sometimes it's no sold. Like all those umbrella terms under whatever the style is named or defined. You should be studying Tomohiro Ishii if for no other reason, even if it's not the same style that you want to sort of adopt or learn from. His pacing of matches, and I know there's no such thing as objectivity and pro wrestling. It is an art form. I get that. But the amount of times he is made an arena or a dome. Not enough dome appearances for me, but an arena, a building, a hall, wherever. Like, he roped in noise because he's paced the comeback so well. Like wrestling, you know, stylistic overlap. It's not so much about content anymore. It's all about how you pace and build, imagine the when to do things. And there's, I don't think there's anyone better or there's like only a handful on par with Ishii in terms of the when. It's all about the when professional wrestlers themselves will tell you this. There's very few wrestlers better than the when, than Tomohiro Ishii. So yeah, there's a few better to study from. Again, even if you don't like the style, you know, the forearms, not that stupid discourse. Fine, have that opinion. Like, audibly in those halls, those arenas. The when, he's perfect at it. Look at the noise he listens. Is that what people are kicking off? I didn't see commission over the weekend, but I saw a lot of people going mad about swerve versus Ishii. Quite frankly, I scrolled past a lot of it because I don't have the tolerance to get, and I don't even like to read about it. In fact, right? So, I mean, years ago, I was kind of guilty about getting in and like being defensive or whatever, and then I grew up too late. Like, I was in my mid 30s and I was getting annoyed about the sort of thing I've moved on, right? I don't like getting amongst it. I don't even like giving my take. Sometimes it's self-explanatory. I don't like getting amongst it. I'm arguing the point. I don't like reading the bad faith or uninformed criticism or whatever. I don't even at this point like it when I'm on Twitter/x or, you know, I'm browsing a message board or a comment section or wherever. I don't even like seeing an illusion to the discourse. You know what I mean? I don't like seeing it being alluded to because it's just almost the same thing. I don't know whether it was just stylistically, Ishii, annoyed people. I don't know whether it was because the ratio of offense was a bit weighted in Ishii's favour. I think that was a lot of it as well. Like, I know why's your world champion going 12 minutes with one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. I don't know, and quite frankly, I don't care. It's good away from bubble crap that young wrestlers are studying Ishii because maybe the game isn't quite so dead if that is the case. I think AEW has really made the most of having him in the last month. I don't think he should be winning matches. I think he really should be winning matches. If nothing else, I don't think he could headline an AEW pay-per-view. He could, in a minimum, headline, like a really big TV special. Allah, winter is coming. And how you position him in that role is to have him beat people. He's used to enhance other wrestlers and he's better than the ones, better than a lot of the wrestlers that he's been used to enhance. But I really like him, like you say, he's got that aura. He hasn't got a neck, which is always a need for him. No, it's just a potential target point. So if you just don't have it, then it's beneficial to you. Yeah, I don't get all the people kicking off. It's Tomahiri. He's got that legacy that comes with him. It's just one of those where it's like different wrestlers for different people. If you don't like him, you just don't have to. Yeah, you don't watch it. It's fine and you just skip to that anyway. It doesn't really matter. But of course, we were lucky enough to have him in WCPW and I still remember. Just the wow factor of seeing him just really lay in. I think it was with Ram Page and just being like, "Are these two going to be all right to get home afterwards?" It was really, really enjoyable. That was where me and Eshie kind of formed our friendship. I was his bodyguard, of course, because, you know, he needs one. If he's going to have one, he's going to be this guy. So Tomahiri, if you're watching, and obviously you're coming to all in, "Hey, why not pop on to our live show beforehand? Is he going to be like this? Is he going to be there? Probably not." But we will, and don't worry, Simon Miller will be as well. I'll always smash the ticket. I'll have that for me. I'm good to know God, I'll always smash the tickets. Area on the day ahead of all, and then afterwards. Yeah, yeah, the snarky pedantic prick. Don't worry about it. Miller's there. I'll tell you what, you know. Miller is like one of the nicest guys in the entire life. There's like a meet and greet. You couldn't hold to meet like legitimate, like a nice guy in Miller. Completely diametrically opposed to we are in days. Wrestling takes and approaches to the content game, but what a guy. What coach? So come along and meet him. Yeah, what coach do I come forward slash tickets? And after all in, hello to Sweet Chin Disco. Tickets have sold out now, but don't worry, there'll be a limited number available on the night. So come watch us film ups and downs and what we're down. If you go into all in, and then join us. We are as old as a cowboy, as a rubles, heading back to Crystal Club for Sweet Chin Disco. I'd like this as well. So. Hey, more of that later on today in the after news. But for now, when I watch this video, right here.
