Woody Harrels. - Woody Harrels then. - They were on cheers. - Yes. - And they said one day they just didn't want to go to work. - One day they just didn't want to. Well, I guess, I think one of them was high-end mushrooms already, when he went came to set. - I'm gonna guess Woody Harrels. - And yes. - Just a guess. - And so they were like, okay, well, I don't want to be here. You don't want to be here, so let's go. And they left, and yeah. - It's funny you said that 'cause I heard yesterday that two of them have a podcast called where everybody knows your name. - Yeah, really? - Yeah, they talk about the old. - So it's mostly Ted Danson, and then Woody-- - They come when he comes in, when he wants to come in. - 'Cause it goes when he wants to. - Oh, that's funny. - That's just what they're gonna say. - Yeah, 'cause he said it's always a good time when Woody shows up. - So I wonder if that's where the story came from, is them playing hooky one day to go do mushrooms, basically. - And people do that cut class, play hooky from schools, I've never. My father would've killed me. I'd never cut cut class, skip school, go off campus, come back, none of that. - Y'all talked about it. Ryan is like, oh yeah, I should go off campus. Are you-- - Yeah. - I know. - Yeah, we said LAF. It was leave after fourth. So when I'm four we walk by to your LAF, I'm like yes, there are-- - LAF! - And we would go-- - Oh my goodness. - Don't meet at my car and leave. And then I would usually call my mom and say, hey, I love school, and she would call and excuse me. - Okay, okay. - But then my senior year, they threatened to not let me graduate. 'Cause I miss-- - Oh, yeah. - I percentage-wise, I miss too much time of certain classes, I'm like, but I gotta be. What do you mean? - Yes, uh-uh. - Emma, I need to call boy. You better get back in that school. My parents didn't play. Ray, how many days do you skip? - A lot. - A lot. So you were just like, I don't feel like, I don't feel like going to the next period. - Yeah, this was more of like my freshman sophomore year, which is crazy. - Yes. - 'Cause like, I had already gotten suspended my freshman year, and so it was like, this year is a shot anyways. - What's your-- - This year is just a shot. And so I was just like, okay. So I had to take summer school anyway. So I was like, I'm just gonna keep skipping, whatever. I miss like 30 something days. - So you would just tell your friends we skipped when you skipped on your-- - Yeah, so if you walked through the back of like, Mary High School, it was connected to a neighborhood, and I lived right across that neighborhood. And so we used to like, there was a walkway for kids. And so we used to just walk off campus. We would walk behind the portables and be like, hey. And then, just like, give it a little nod, like, hey, let's go. - No. I was like, oh, my eyes get up, huh. - And then we would go. - No. - And then my friend Joe lives in that neighborhood right there, so we would all just meet at Joe's house. We just went and played Madden and gambled at my friend, at my friend's God's house. - Oh, no. - There'd be like seven, eight, nine of us. - No, no, no. - Yeah, we got just a lay. - Oh, no, no, no, no reason. - No, absolutely not. I'm hurting. My stomach is tightening as you're saying. I'm like, same, this thing. My mom would kill me if she ever found out that I had ever like, skipped school. I was never thought, no way. - It was, it was never. - Hey man, we couldn't school. - Like, great, I wanna live, so have fun. - Even on a skip day. - Really? - I didn't skill. My mom was a teacher. Yeah. - That's right. There was like a senior skip day or something that they would always do. - I wanna find out if you ever played hooky from school or even work, sometimes it worked. You're like, you know what, I just don't feel like it today. But see now it's okay 'cause they have mental health days. - Yes. - They didn't have that back in the day. If you have a cut class or a skip school or you wanna go say, uh-uh, I am not doing that. I wanna hear your story. 407, 919, 1067, 877, 919, 1067, XL Mobile 416067, live streamer, you've been kind of quiet. We wanna hear from you and we'll throw it up on social media. Were you one of those to play hooky or skip days from school? Like, it was nothing. We wanna hear from you. Call us right now in Johnny's house. It's gonna feel like 94 with the heat index. It is 77 right now. I'm trying to find out if you guys, a lot of you did it, just skip school. Played hooky, left. Give your friend a, let's go. And you're out of there. I could never do that. I wanna find out if you did, from Kissimmey, Ana, good morning. - Good morning. - You cut class, you skip school? - I did. This was, you know, back in the day in the 90s up in Pennsylvania, we used to sometimes just leave in the middle of the day and go to Maryland. - What do you mean, just leave in the middle of the day? What, what, what, you were in school? What do you mean, just leave in the middle of the day? - You can go to Maryland. - Go to Maryland. - Yep. - What do you mean? - It's a couple hours away. And then my best story, and it's funny, 'cause I never told my kids this until they graduated, 'cause I didn't want them trying to copy me, but in my senior year, I skipped two solid weeks and got a week excused. - Wow. - Your parents didn't know you didn't go to school? - No, no, I would wait. I would walk to the bus stops and then kind of hide. There was like a little grove of trees and I would just kind of sit there and wait for the bus to pass. Give it another like 15 minutes for my parents to leave for work and then I just go home. - I wanna know how you got 'em excused. - Yes. - Well, I wrote a note and I pretty much said that my aunt had died and that we had trouble. - Oh, dear goodness. - The New York. - And your parents didn't know? - You can tell, you know the school system has changed for it to slide for that long. - Oh, yeah, it's changed. - Two weeks. - It's changed. - Well, yeah, it's funny, 'cause the principal actually called me into the office, 'cause I mean, it was a long time. And he was like, so exactly what happened? Why were you gone for two weeks? And I was like, well, it was the funeral and our car broke down and it just took a while to get the funds to get it fixed. - Anna, you must have been a good student. - Oh, yeah. - Yeah, yeah. - Yeah, when you're a good student, they let a lot of stuff slide. - And your aunt is alive and well. - Yeah, yeah. - All my, all my, all my, all my living. All 25, I don't know. - Wow. - That's crazy, 'cause if she really were in the past now, then you have to go tell the lie again. Wait a second. - Yeah. Wow. All right, Anna. I'm glad you waited a lot of school to tell your kids that. 'Cause they say, "Mom, you did it." (laughs) Wow, forging notes, everything. From Winter Garden, Nala, good morning. - Hi, good morning. - You skip? - Yes, directly in my senior year. Me and my friends skip and we would skip and they go to a Key West, so I'm from South Florida. - That's wild. - So you could have like Key West and drive down there three hours, hang out, then came back up before the school bus dropped off the kids. - So what'd you do to Key West ago? - Whoa, get back, go and drive back. - They were dropping me off at the school bus. I walk back home. - The audacity. - So, I mean, you only spent, you only spent, what, an hour in Key West? - Yeah, like an hour, an hour and a half, hang out. It was all part of the drive. - Yeah. - Yeah, this is good. - And then we used to go to like West Palm Beach, go to open houses, look at houses. - Oh my gosh, that is hilarious. - I wouldn't be out. - Yeah, and then-- - Go ahead. - No, I was kind of like, and then sometimes like, we don't skip on Fridays 'cause Fridays you could make up your schoolwork. - Oh yeah, and Fridays were always fun. - You're right? - Yeah. - That's crazy. - You gotta make it up. - Listen. - And then like, sometimes you have an exam and I'll be like, listen, you guys gotta wait for me until I finish my first period, the second period, and then we walk out and we leave. - Uh-uh. The whole trip to Key West, I'll be praying, Lord, don't let this car break down 'cause my father gonna kill me. - Yeah. - He gonna kill me. - It was good car, it was good car. - Say why your eyes closed, man, I'm praying. - Y'all don't understand. - Oh my God, I remember we got pulled over after skipping one time, we were going down to I Drive and we were like, oh, we're from outta town. - Is that what you say we're from outta town? - Yeah, 'cause we're high schoolers skipping. - Yeah. - Did he believe that? - Yeah. - Oh yeah. - See, I would have to say a city. We're from Charlotte, you just say we're from outta town. - We're from outta town. - He's like, I ain't even trying to deal with his paperwork today. - We used to skip and go watch spring training baseball games. - Oh, that's awesome. All right, what are they saying over there? - Somebody said we would skip all the time, the benefit was living in Florida, we would head to the beach. - Yep. - So a lot of people would go to the beach. - Oh, I'm crazy. - I just didn't go, my junior year, I missed one third of the school year. - Did they pass? - Yeah, they passed with honors. - With honors, yeah. They would just board a beach. - XL Mobile powered by attorney Dan Newland and Iraq needed to check. It's an opener called attorney Dan Newland. Someone said my mom would have killed me. - Yes, yes. - Didn't get to do senior skip day. - Uh-oh. - Wasn't allowed to stay home sick. I said I was in class freezing with a fever, turned out to be pneumonia and I still couldn't go. - Oh my gosh. - But now she says I let my kids in mental health day. - Yes. - No problem. And then someone said I middle school, my mom would drop me out for the school, I'd wait till she saw me go in the front door, I walk right out the back door and skip with my friends and then she would argue, I watched her go inside. (laughing) - So she would go into school and come back door. - Go in the front door, out the back door. - Oh my goodness, man. - The middle school is bold. - See, my parents had a rule. If you were sick, you couldn't do anything that day would stay in bed. - At all. - That was it. - X5. - No TV. - No TV. - That was a bad thing. - That was a bad thing. - You're sick. - I would watch Jerry's sister all on day. - Right, right, right. - Then you're not sick. - Yeah, you're too sick. - Oh, my eyes still wear. - My parents like, my parents went to the point where they pull up the TV out the room. All right, when you're sick, I hope you feel bad. I got some stupid, (laughing) if you hit a phone ring in the kitchen, you go get a goose. (laughing) - It's so weird, my mom was like that when I was younger. And then I think it was after my brother graduated and moved out and it was just me, that she just let the gates open. - Just to go ahead. Younger, you did not miss school, but you did nothing. - Nothing. - But when my brother graduated when I was a freshman, after that, it was like, (laughing) do what you want. - You used to call your mom, say, "Hey, look, I'm leaving, go ahead and call in." I got you baby. I got you baby. Well, you had good grades. - Yeah. - You can do that when you got good grades. Hey, listen, we come back. I got a question. Did you do something for teachers or, when you can't get a teacher, did you do a certain thing? Well, ask your next son, Johnny. So on a rainy day, he did index of only 94. They're saying in Ocala tomorrow night, it might be like 69 degrees. - What? - Yeah, so we got a little cold front coming through, he did index of 94, 77 right now. I mentioned it earlier this week. It's an initiative that we're doing with our baby DJ program called Central Florida. Together we can. We've located a elementary school. And what we're gonna do is a Title I school where the majority of the kids, they live in poverty or eat free or reduce lunch. We've taken that school and given them everything that they need to succeed to help them become an A school. We make sure that they have all the school supplies. Now we need to see if we can help them out with the sporting equipment for their school. We went there yesterday with a group of people that wants to volunteer and do some things. And the basketball hoops outside have no nets. The courts have no markings. It's just kind of like asphalt on the, and we got some photos. So what we've done, we're gonna send it out, check out our social media. We have an Amazon wish list. And the things they want are inexpensive nets for the basketball, kickballs. They're like 10 bucks, footballs, like $14. So if you're listening right now and you're in the car with your kids, if you get a chance today, go to Central Florida, together we can.com. And it'll assess where we can help. And just so some things that this school needs. Soccer ball, volleyball, basketball. Just the simple things that most kids already have at their school, this school needs them. So if we can, Central Florida together, we can do anything. We're using this as an initiative. We're gonna start off with a school, but we'll branch out to other avenues. It just shows as a community, we can help each other out. Just check out all our social media, or just go to Central Florida together we can, and check out the wish list. And if you can, just purchase something for this school. And I'll announce who it is after Labor Day. And, but again, together as a community, we can do anything. Central Florida together we can. We can make this thing happen. We can take a title one school and make them feel like they're a school in a very rich neighborhood. All they need is us to get together and help them with the resources. Again, Central Florida together we can. We're talking about this off the air today and Brian was going both ways on this. I've never done this and I feel kind of bad. I feel like a bad parent if everybody does this. - Well, I don't know if they do. - I don't even, it's just so easy now to do it though. So, you know, first week of school you find out who your kids teacher is. So as a parent, do you then go to social media and search for that teacher and see what they are all about outside of school since social media is more of your personal life. And if you're a teacher, do you even consider that? When you post on social media, do you think, well, maybe I gotta make sure this is cool because parents are gonna check it out. And then just now is thinking, well, that might go the other way. If you got a kid. If you're a teacher, who's a little wild and you're like, let me see what his parents are all about on social media. And that might explain why they act the way they do. It's like, do you investigate? - I've done none of that. - Teacher's parents on social media and I've done none of them. - I'm not, until you brought it up this morning, I didn't think anything of it. But I was like, maybe I should. I've had people message me saying, oh, my son had that so-and-so teacher as well. Or like, you know, people like that. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Oh, she was great. I'm surprised we didn't jump on that, right? - I know and I'm like, what the heck? - Well, no, I haven't. I have a lot of friends on Instagram that are teachers. - Yeah. - And I don't, they're not my kids' teacher and they were never my teacher. But I see them post and I think now I'm thinking, wow, as a parent, like, what would I think if that was my kids' third grade teacher or whatever? - Yeah, I've had teachers where you know you do the shot ring, where everybody put their shot glasses. - Yes. - And you just say, how am I how to pull out of this? - Yes. - And I understand because you're a teacher. But I've never ever looked up any of my kids' teachers. And I haven't talked about some, like there's one last you was talking about. And this person I was like, really? Nothing in my brain said, let me see if I can find them. - My son saw it more year. I was pretty good Instagram friends with his English teacher. - Yeah. - And we talked back and forth on social media and she would like my post and I don't like her post and whatever. - I found my kids' teachers. (laughing) - Just now. - Just now, yeah. - And what do you say? I mean, what kind of photos? - I mean, they're private on Instagram, so I'm gonna have to scoot on over to Facebook. - Yeah. - The Facebook. (laughing) - See, the only reason I think I would ever jump on this is because a lot of my friends are teachers. And it's just like imagine like one of them, for example, is a second grade teacher and she goes clubbing. - Yeah, but does she post it? I mean. - She does, but her page is also private. So it's kind of, there is that layer where they're, they're trying to be human and protect their image so they can-- - Well, that's cool. - I think there's two, if I'm not mistaken. Two parents who got in trouble 'cause they was on the-- - The only fan. - The only fan. - Wait, wait, wait, wait 'cause she was promoting it like-- - What, what, what, what? - Oh shit. (laughing) - I'm the back of her car. - It's kind of back of the car. They just happened to find it by, well, somebody was on it. - Yeah. - I mean, not only fans, that's a whole different anime we're talking about, yeah. - I wanna find out if you've ever done this, you know, it's a first week of school, you find out who your kid's teacher is or are, and do you look them up on social media? And teachers, if you have a kid in your class and they may be a little disruptive, do you go, let me find out. Let me look at this family life. What they got going on? Do you do that kind of research? If you're doing a lot of you have, I'm like, okay, I've never done it. I feel like a bad parent. But if a lot of you haven't, if you haven't let us know also, then I'm in the norm and Ray haven't either. And she's on social media, Brian, you never did. - I never did it, and I never considered it, like the teacher's looking me up, but we have so many pictures on my Instagram, my party's at my house and jumping off of water slides like on the weekends and stuff. Well, my kid was in middle school. So like, it's like, ew. (laughing) - Man, way back in the day when I started, you'd had that picture with me with the gold change. - Okay. - And the leopard speedo, yes sir. - Yeah, okay. - Yeah, rocking the pool party. (laughing) - But we're lucky, I can pass off a lot of my stuff as, oh yeah, that's part of the radio thing. - Well, for sure. - But as a regular parent or as a teacher, you can't use that excuse. - 407, 919, 1067, 877, 919, 1067, got a $50 gift certificate to frat pain land at the International Food on Wheels Festival happening on August 18th in downtown Orlando. We want you to go and we'll hook you up with that, but you just gotta tell us, if you have ever researched your teachers on social media, teachers, have you ever researched a kid's parent? Just to get an idea of what, you know, oh, nah, I see why a little Timmy acting like that. Nah, I see. - Do I hit follow? - Ooh. - Do I follow? - Well, understand they're gonna follow you back. - Yeah. - I am what I am. (laughing) - That explains a lot. - A lot, we understand now. - 407, 919, 1067, 877, 919, 1067, getting some information is coming from you on Johnny's house weekend. It's gonna be a little warm. I look cool and it has been mostly sunny. He did index of only 94 today. It is 77 right now. Just trying to figure out, if you guys, you know, first week of school, do you check out your kids' teacher on social media and teachers? Do you check out the parents and like, okay, now understand why they acting like that? 'Cause I've never done any of those. I don't know if I got checked out, but I know I didn't check anybody out. I wanna find out where you are with that. From Orlando, Jose, good morning. - Hello, good morning. - All right, so what do you do? - So I work at a full-time chef at the Olive Garden, my right next for the mall. - Well, thank you. Can you tell us the ship you work? (laughing) No, I'm joking, I'm joking. Don't tell me where you work, go ahead. - I do like me some breadsticks. - Go ahead. - Oh, no, trust me. I'll be going in there, like. - I don't do it. I'm just, okay, okay, okay, okay. Tell me what you got. Do you check your teachers on social media? - Yes, so I'm not currently apparent, but I am the oldest of five children. - Okay. - And I got my youngest brother, he just turned 14. He's going to Oak Ridge. So I gotta wake up and take him. And then I got two special needs students. You know, my sisters, they go to a specialized school for the autism. - Yeah, so you take, you took the turnout to look up their teachers on social media. - Not exactly, so with the Oak Ridge teachers, 'cause I went to Oak Ridge my four years. I was cool with the teachers. And it was always once you graduate, you know, we could follow each other on social media. - So now that you, now you do, all right? Well, cool, all right. You hold on a second there. From the Berry, Kristen, good morning. - Good morning. - All right, you look up at the kids' teachers. - I do when there's an issue that comes forward. - Uh-oh. - Yeah, I know we moved to the Berry last year. My daughter started. She has epilepsy, so she takes medications that make her tired and she has a 504 plan that allows extra breaks. - Yes, yes. - Her first day at a new school, she was already depressed 'cause she had the least, her friends and she comes home and tells me this teacher, yelled at her and embarrassed her in front of the whole class 'cause she laid her hand out from the headache. - You looked it up. - And I looked her up and it was a mess. I called the school, the lady, her main profile picture was her with a beer. (laughing) - Oh, there were posts on her page about if she self-medicates is because of her employment. (laughing) And it was a mess, it was a mess. - Okay. (laughing) - Oh wow. - You picked the wrong day to be meeting my kid. (laughing) You picked the wrong day. - So did she still have a job after that? - Two weeks later, she wasn't working there anymore. - Oh, damn. - Tag, that's what you call a mess around to find out. - Yeah. - Mess around and find out. From Claremont Sandy, good morning. - Good morning, Johnny. - How you doing, Sandy? So you've looked up, you've looked up parents. - I do. So I am a elementary school teacher and there have been times where we sit around and we just look and get an insight about their family life and do some research and a lot of times it's like, "Oh, that explains." - That's what we're talking about. - Yeah. - That's what we're talking about. Okay, now I understand. - And then as a teacher, obviously I'm very careful with what I feel is my social media and then my partner, they know, starting to do not tag me in. - Yeah, yeah. - Yeah, your friends got enough. - Be what they sayin' over there, am I? - XL mobile powered by attorney Dan Newland in the wreck. Need a check, it's a no-brainer, call attorney Dan Newland. Everybody's lookin' up there, but yeah. Someone said, "I teach high school. "If your kid is a frequent flyer in the behavior issue, "I promise you, we look you up." And nine times out of 10, it all makes sense. Someone said, "I search my kid's teacher's hardcore "because I want to know who they're with all day." Someone said, "We a thousand percent investigate "as teachers, the parents' social media." And we also look up the clicker courts. - Oh! - Damn! - Nice! - See what you got goin' on there as well. - Wow! Okay, never thought about that one. All right, Kristin from the Mary, who got to teach her fire 'cause she was smokin' cigarettes and talkin' about her job made in the press, got to figure out how to get certificate, the frappin' land, the International Food On Wheels Festival happening on August 18th in downtown Orlando. - And so that lady's a snitch. - Yeah, I'm like, you kinda whirlin' her livelihood. - Hey, just a little tease. Next Friday, if you're a snitch, we got somethin' for ya. Do you need to see your family doctor today? Now you can at Advent Health Primary Care Plus. But what's the plus?
