Premier League is back, and we're back with a preview before it all kicks off, and we're back with our predictions that I don't think any of us got right last season. Joining me tonight, we've got Premier League favorite Jamie. How are you, mate? Mason, thanks for having me back on. I'm absolutely fine, I think we've got two more slips until the Premier League kicks back off, so etching for up. Yeah, I can't say I was too excited about my own team's season starting, so this is a nice little break from that. But before we sort of get on to the Premier League, Jamie Cherryxfield at the weekend, Man City ended up winning on penalties one during the game. I'll be honest, I don't know who he was, I spoke about in late last week. I'm not a fan of the charity, Cherryxfield. I always think it's a bit of a glorified friendly, but what did you make of the game at the weekend? It was probably more of the same of the FA Cup final at the end of last season, if you think, you know, anybody's expecting Man United's who didn't have a great preseason to get put to the sword, and it just didn't turn out like that. City have got some major players missing, you know, you really see your foldings, you know, that just weren't available because they've just not had a preseason or so forth. But yeah, it was much I do a bit, nothing really. I don't know, there was a couple of chances for both teams either half and it probably needed a change up front for somebody to make the difference. And I think it was Kinatio that actually came on and done that to be fair. And the second off, Rashford should have probably have two or three before the goal went in. But he looks up for it compared to what we did last season, you know, like direct on the ball-making space. He's finishing was just not great. But that probably comes with more game time, really, didn't it? I actually thought Man United were going to sneak it after the Gunatio scored, but that's a we're trying to stay impartial and not calling my rats, but Barardo Silver managed to get an equalizer. And then that off they went from there. Yeah, just to keep it on, on sort of them to a minute, so we start with Man City, losing Alvarez in the last couple of days to have Fettico. I'd argue that makes them weak up. I know he was on someone that the side, I had a lot of games when Harlem was fit, but some that could play different positions. And I said when Harlem was injured, he was the one that was playing. So what we folks announced, still think they're clear favorites. We'll probably all come on to that as well, just because it's PEP and the quality of player they've got. But it hasn't been a really a good window for him so far. I'm with you. Alvarez was never going to get the game time while Highland there. I always felt at the time Alvarez did manage to get games. It was because he was accommodating, potentially folding, moving around or doku or something. It became the front three. There was a period of time when Harlem was missing last season and they did require to have Alvarez playing. But it'd be surprised that actually Alvarez featured in something like 53 games last season, whether it was a solve or whether he started. So it definitely had game time. I think the problem was that Alvarez never started the big games. You know, the champions like semifinals and, you know, yeah, you're always going to start with Harlem. So he kind of knew his place. I'm kind of in two bits about it when it comes to setting because it definitely makes them weaker by not having them because they don't have the same level of quality. As a backup striker, if they need it to be. But it's also amazing business to buy a player for 14 million with addons last season and to sell them for the best part of 90 with addons this season. That's mental business for one season. You know, you could argue that he's won pretty much everything in the last 12 months alone, whether it's from Champions League to World Cup to Copra, America. But he got not bad clinically between 23, 24 years old. I think I think I've let's go and dread. I think he will succeed there because he's very, I'm not going to say he's very greasement. But what I mean is he's got Alvarez has got one of those low center gravity kind of approaches with the ball. You know, he's not going to win him. He's not going to jump up on where I headed from from six yards. But you get my little junkie run at the edge of the box and he kind of gets through with them. He's been kind of does those kind of things for them as well. But I think Alvarez is going to be suited to the Spanish league so much. By definitely the one thing I would say is that I think Pep did say he's definitely looking at his youngsters this year. I only give new contracts to Oscar Bob, Maccati, who is on loan last season. And there was another one I can't remember his name. So to come out and say those means that potentially they might not do much business this window. But I would definitely, definitely, definitely strong without him than with him. Just seeing as well when Oscar Bob, I think it's just come up on my phone there. He's got a bad injury, isn't he? So it would be interesting to see you. The L drafts all ripped up because everybody's at them in the FBL because I think he's at Empreza. I think he's at three goals and about four assists or something like that. Yeah, I think watching him sort of pre-season. I think after we even get a lot more minutes, he was one night just after he will play a lot. But he'd have to be interested in what they do there with City. But don't tell me you're up with Team Jamie, do you still think even with losing Alba, as you said, I totally agree with what you made up. I think if you sort of pick a country for him to go, I would have picked Spain, and I think he would be a really good sign in for a fair ticker. But do you think Mansa either are going to win this league again? I want to say no for a couple of reasons, but I think I'm just a bit of a pie in this guy. I think there's something about this being potentially pipes last season that people are potentially overlooking. And what I mean is that Pep's legacy in his last game last season, that this is going to be his last one. Is it going to be loaded in new players, youngsters, like Klopp for example, had to do last season, or is it going to be going and winning five Premier leagues in a row with no managers done four, never mind five. Something about his pedigree that we tell you either way is probably going to come out good. The difference is that CF City don't start well. You know they'll go and drop 150 million or two players in January. That's the difference, whereas for example, if you're thinking about Arsenal or Liverpool, 150 million would get you three or four players because of the way the team just sets up. You're not going to buy that many players if you're struggling, for example. You're going to maybe win one or two. City can go and do those kind of things. I'd be surprised if they brought nobody in this window. I don't see many membranes about people coming in. But if they don't, if they're set in top two, top three with maybe two games in the hand or something called Christmas, I totally envisage them going out and spending big to kind of get it over the line if you like. I probably would make them favourites. I just wouldn't put them ten points clear kind of favourites. This time, if that makes sense. No, I agree with that. I still think they will win the league. I think it'll go out with five. I don't think I was more convinced than winning the league last season than I am in this season. I think everyone else will be better at this season as well. I think the big difference of a serious city this season compared to previous seasons, if they don't go and buy anybody, for example, and you've still got greenish engine. Oscar Bob engine. No well, whereas you're talking about Harlan and Foden and the Brainer. The Brainer can't stay fit. We've seen that over years. That's a lot to ask of Harlan and Foden. So what you'll probably see is a more defensive style from City because they've still got wonderful defenders. You could probably pick six players right now that would walk into 90% of the teams in the Premier League in their back line. And the fact that they actually didn't lose Emmerson when it looked as if Emmerson was going to Saudi. He's now staying. So straight away, you go well. OK, Emmerson will be one of the top two top three keepers of the season. Akanji. Adné Finaki. John Stones. Ruben Diaz. Vadiol Salty. Finish well at the end. Kyle Walker. It's a ridiculous back line if they want it to be. What you'll probably see is more defensive than probably attack. And that we used to see. They're just sub-settled in there. That's the thing. I know it looks a depth a little bit in terms of they do get a cup of injuries. You just sit there. But just have settled they are. They're at the point where one side can again keep them on again. I mean that's where that's what you've built there. I think you have to look at their opening fixtures as well. I think I remember seeing it when I was looking earlier. I think their opening fixtures are quite favourable I would say. They've got Chelsea on the opening game of the season. And then it's Ipswich West and Brentford. They play Arsenal and Newcastle but then you've got Fallen Wolves. They've got these squashes of runs where they can actually hammer points out. I think if they go ahead it's going to be hard for people to taste and do. If they don't start well and for example Arsenal start well or Liverpool start well. That's when we'll see what's set here because they're not used to chasing when they've got multiple options. If they don't have those options what kind of chasing is it we're going to try and pull off. Yeah. Definitely. And whilst you obviously just mentioned Manionite we'll jump to the next Jamie. I think me and you have been quite clear that we don't see ten half being at Manionite in long term. We were, I think, both adamant at the end of the last season he would see out the season. But obviously the FA Cup run and then winning the FA Cup new contract. How do you think they're going to fare this season? Made a couple of signings himself. Really like the look of the new centre half table at Europe. What's going to get started and I thought you were good. But obviously he's got a bad injury and that's been a little bit of a theme for Manionite. He's keeping the players with it. Big season this for ten half because I think that although I'm not fan you can't argue he's one, two cups. But he needs to be way more attacking I think this season. I think that's coming Manionite and fans are getting a demand or that will spill the end of him. I think he needs to come out and have a go more. Yeah, and I think he's made a couple of more signings this week and matches the let and misery. Who I think are decent enough players. I think the let was somebody that was destined for the stars. Probably just not fruitioned when he's time and you rent this. And then buying is just not, he's just not been the same kind of player. I definitely think he's a better player. He's definitely better than New Year of Rands. Potentially McGuires and Johnny Evans and stuff. The one thing I would cause that caused me concern is that ten hacks and a new contract, which was inevitable the way the treated him at the end of the season. They were openly caught in four of the managers before the offered him to stay there. But to then allow him to make the same style of transfers as what he's been ridiculed for for the past two years. So I think I've seen it on Twitter yesterday today. That's like his six ex-I act player that he's brought. Which is mental considering that he's been absolutely slated for doing the same thing over and over and over in the last few windows. So I don't know what to expect from Manchester United. I said Rashford looked lively, but it was a charity shield. Ganatio looked decent enough for you. The concern would be that somebody is attacking his mason mount. Shouldn't be touching the team when you've got something like Bruno Fernandez. So how do you play the two of them together? It's a challenge. I'm not convinced in the lead highl end up front. We've seen glimpses of him last season, but it was really glimpses. And I'm not convinced at the striker that they brought the ZXI. Again, another ex-player he's had under his wing. They paid a lot of money for alerts that I don't think is really proving it. If you're thinking of two strikers, they've got Highland and ZXI. You've spent something like 110 million on the two of them. I did that a look at him now. Yeah, I know what you're saying. It's young player coming into the Premier League. You've kept expectation when you're not in it. The difference pressure I think... I think that the difference pressure I've got at the moment is the fact that Vandestroy has now been brought in as he's number two. I can't help but think if he gets off to a bad start, then the fans will just shout "Put Vandestroy in charge" and he'll be gone within five weeks to get what I mean. That's how fuck all we are as fans. I actually thought that when that was announced, that's a lot of wonder. For the fact that the fact that it's now been bundled is number one, to go there to be number two tells you that there must be some kind of promise that there must be. I can see that one in the finish. As you said, especially today, I think it would be interesting to hear what he does. He has fellow wives in sort of his entire ex-binary events. If he loses his bio-times, he doesn't have a way to get rid of him, and then Eric Dyer in front of him. That would be a red flag, but I'll be interested to see how he does, because still we're at a good age. And maybe Ben and I will suit him more. On to Arsenal, Jamie. What we made up there. I think that main sign is a random sign. It's a centre-hard from Bologna. Absolutely. Yeah, that's kind of cool. And a lot of teams, after this issue in the RT, loads of names, I think a lot of clubs in Italy wanting to stay there. So, definitely needed that. But we're all saying the same question with Arsenal. Where's the striker? I think with the CaliFuyo, the ones a strange one, because if you look at last season, for example, they brought this bit of a lot of money on the young lad during the temper, who got a season-long injury on his opening game, he's come back into the team now. They think highly of him. So, you'd expect it to be some sort of rotation going into that backline. So, you're talking Ben White, Gabrielle Aunce. You're more than likely not going to rotate your sleep, but sleep is probably going to be your main one. The young lad, Paul DePott, the young Polish lad they had last season, Kyori came into the backline, dead pretty decent, and they've still got it since Genco. I'm not sure CaliFuyo was the kind of person who needed to bring in, while they were missing and glaring options on, for example, striker or the left wing. Long term, he might turn out to be a decent player. You know, CaliFuyo, he might be good alongside Saliba. Gabrielle isn't exactly done anything wrong, though, is he? So, that's what I mean. Like, it's like, I get competition replacing the squad deficit, but Arsenal fans have been talking, which is not a short centre back. It was the one that they were talking about. You know, there's a lot of talk about Thomas Party potentially still moving on, which means that you've got your genuine deck on race. You know, fighting needs a bit more depth. They're at the left wing. Martinelli got injured for big periods last season, and Trosseld was a makeshift left winger/strike hit. Probably expect somebody more long-term to come in there and challenge and stay out on the left, for example. Or you're talking about the strikers where have it, did prove me wrong last season, but he's still not a striker. You know, so, yeah, I guess a bit of a weird one. I think it's good business in terms of that is a big, like, you've got to come and play that a lot of people will have to. Is it just a big business? I'm not sure. Well, yeah, I know what you're saying then. I think if I was an Arsenal fan, the main position for me would be screaming for a centre forward, as I said earlier. But it is that depth coming you've done more than me, but they look at the game against Liverpool last season, and I think I've tried to change it. Liverpool really second off, turned the screw, and I've tried to change it, went to a back five, and they got on the Polish court. Kirio? Kirio? It sent a half, and, yeah, an absolutely nightmare. And that's where I can sort of understand it. And there was other times as well where he put centre-offs left back and he did change it around a little bit. So I know you're saying, in terms of that centre-off period, that is really, really strong pairing it. Well, probably the best centre-off pair in the last season in Gabrielle's sleeve. But I do think strength and depth is where Arsenal, that's where it didn't get him over the line. But definitely upper positions would be. See if they brought in a striker or a left winger, and then brought in Califiori, I probably wouldn't say nothing about it. Have we got an Oscar business? See the fact that's the first one they've done. Then you go in like, okay, who are they bringing in? There's talk, and there's obviously talk to Real, about Michael Morino. This was the lab that scored in the euros. He used to play for Newcastle United at one point. I think he's more of a workhorse. I think I don't see him changing the team dynamic and adding all of a sudden 10, 15 goals to the team. I think he's probably been brought in more to challenge the midfield options, which again, not necessarily a bad training, but see if they're the only two people they bring. And people go, okay, but whatever strike, whatever lap we're wearing, it's like, are they looking at those options at all? No, no, definitely interesting to actually hear, and we'll come to predictions a little while, but a lot of people typically in Arsenal and the league, so we'll come to that in a minute. Jamie, last thing I want to talk to you for this, to finish up, which I think most people have in their top floor is obviously global, only slot in a decent pre-season. But again, no signings as yet. There is obviously still two weeks ago. I keep saying it's going to happen next week. There's going to be a flurry of transfers. There's going to happen. It hasn't really happened like that. It's been a real poor and boring somewhat in terms of transfers compared to what it was sort of last season. But you're a little bit concerned, and now I still think you've got a fantastic squad. It's going to be different with a new manager, but just not fresh faces coming in there. Yeah, I think we spoke last week, and I think the fact that we were highly linked towards Zubermandy means I was massively pleased if we pulled that one off, because he's obviously a cracking place to a young profile, 24, 25, just one of your roles. Obviously looking for a bigger challenge, that all were looked wrapped up until Monday morning when we got the news that politics, shall we say, over in Spain, have kind of played a part, and he's decided to stay where he is. I necessarily don't have an issue with that. I don't mind that. A little bit of famous for having, you know, Stephen Gerald who did exactly the same thing. So I don't have an issue with it. When I have an issue with it, there was a statement that probably come out after or leaked by the juniors, which was that it was either Zubermandy or nobody. You know, they don't want to start bringing people in for the sake of it. And I get that, but when you've been, when you go back to last season where we failed with Cassedo, we failed with Angel Fernandez, we failed with Roman Lavier, we now fail with Zubermandy. Why is this number sexual, such an issue? So, you know, it's not a good look for Richard Hughes, who obviously been brought in to oversee these things, to full flatter, if you like, on his first option. My concern would be that apparently that was his only option. Surely you don't put all your eggs in one basket and you have backups. You get what I mean. It sounds a little amateurish. No, I don't think it's a amateurish, because it's a good setup around, you know, Michael Edwards, the people of Wells Reverse. I'm just more concerned at the statement than said. It was an Zubermandy or nobody will look again next season. Well, it's quite clear. And obviously, we still need the sick. So why would you not have alternative options? Slots said something during preseason. It has me worded to say that he thinks that Greg, who haven't worked, can potentially play a number six pivot. So again, we're putting a plaster on something, you know, rather than fixing it. Those are kind of things I'm worried about. And it's quite obvious with people like Virgil Trent and Salah got one year left in the contract. Not that I don't think they won't sign extensions, but there was a statement, I think, by Virgil or a comment and a reporter stating that he's keen to see how the new regime sits, if it's in. But that needs to open because if it doesn't fit in, it's not going to sign. So the fact that we're not getting the big number one targets across the line. So I'm not going to say it's a red flag. It's an amber flag, should we say, at the moment. But that being said, we've still got a pool of talent that we're really happy with. We'll be like the strikers. We like these second options. I think we'll do pretty well this season. But, yeah, we'll just have to wait and see. I'd be surprised if we don't bring anybody in this window. I would be surprised. Yeah, it is. I think they will. And I don't think you need much. Well, I don't think you need anything in the forward line. It's just, it's. Two percent. I mean, we'll be able to find out on our number six meal still. Yeah, definitely. Jane, what do you make of the transfer sign key to Spurs? Sixteen five million, I mean, a lot of money. I mean, you could score, I think, of 19, Premier League. It's a 19. Premier League. So, I can't, I'll get asked. That's a really good number for an all-new striker. But, yeah, we'll shift forward some. Does that give? Do you know what? I've, I've actually got a soft spots for Slanky because it was, it was 21 years old when Liverpool took him, you know, we signed him from Chelsea. He didn't have, he was never going to get ahead of the likes of Bobby, Salah, Mo. Sorry, money. So, he was always going to be a bit pot. We did good business on him. We let him go with a salon close. So, that's why the fee was so big. I think Liverpool had something like a 15, 15, 17% salon close. So, it had to be tested in order for Bournemouth to obviously allow it to go. I think it was always going to take a bit of Bournemouth. I think we said, you know, the last season, there was a couple of windows ago where Bournemouth was spending $60 million in one window on two players. Premier League is filmed with money now. I'm sure that $60 million is pretty much nothing. You know, when you take off Liverpool's salon close and you're saying that Bournemouth is essentially $2.45 million, maybe $40 million. So, it's not, I don't think it's that much of a money. What I would say is that he doesn't need time to settle in the Premier League. He's well versed in the Premier League. He's well traveled. The only flag, the only cause we can say in would you, would you say is that last season was by far his best season in the Premier League. He's had a really good season in the championship. I think it was only second two. I think he was a veteran when he was coming up from Folleman. He scored an absolute record of goals between them. But he's a good age. You know, well, I would push it back to you. Would you pay $60 million for Rachelle's home? Would you pay $60 million for Solanki? Solanki, I think. I've never been a fan of Rachelle's home. But it pretty much paid $60 million for Rachelle's home, didn't it? Yeah. I'll caveat that and say I'd rather pay $40 for Tony. So, I agree, however, see if you're paying $150k a week for Solanki, but Tony's asking for $300k. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because that's the only reason that the old flag deal hasn't been done, or apparently he's had a meeting with Arsenal and Arsenal never came back to the table. He's had a meeting with Tottenham never came back to the table. Apparently he's about three or four teams, Chelsea apparently. I guess he's priced himself at a lose, because, you know, there would have been a flat fee with Brentford, whether it's $60 million, $70 million, but see the moment they find out what wages he's talking about. You know, I mean, what's he on at Brentford? It must be about $80k, $60k, $80k. Yeah. I think I see this actually recently. I think it was about $60. He's not there on the top page. So if he's looking for $200k a week, from Clemson. No, I'm not saying Solanki's $150k, but what I mean is like, Solanki's obviously had a chunk to go there and do well. I bet you it was a cheaper deal than going for Tony. Yeah. No, that's what they even think about it. I mean, it's taking that for me, because obviously... Well, I'm going to hit one person, so I'm going to hit him. Yeah. Definitely. Well, I think they're Brentford this season. Brentford will be laughing. They want a fee for him obviously, but if he stays there this season and they do something this season and they'll be laughing. Yeah. But if he goes now, they get a pure wedge. The problem is he just needs to drop his demands from what I hear. Doing himself about a big move and he's 28. So... No, that's not... Well, as we said, if he's adding me to the Arsenal and they've not gone back to the table, he's adding me to the Tottenham and they've gone back to the table. There was a talk, he was meant to be talking to Chelsea. There was a three big move that you just fucked up. Yeah. Because he might probably succeed all three of them. I think Arsenal, perfect. Take the make. Take the make for it. Yep. And we're doing that. Sounds like a player. But another seeking with transfers will mix up a little bit. Jamie and then we'll finish off with Rob and Rob. Just before I go with it, there was one prediction from Colin where he said something. He said something. He said something. He said something. He said something. Jamie said something. Colin's trying to redeem himself after pecking Sheffield related to stay up last season or something. Yeah. Well, it's finished top ten or something. I think he says. We've got to make his top goals for as well. So it's thrown out a couple of biggies there. I'm sure this podcast will come back to it. Finally. Colin's back up. Colin's back up. One club that's done a lot of business this summer. Jamie's west hat. And they're done so much business. I'm actually about to get it all down. It was some of it from Leeds. Fort Crogh through British Lawland. They got in Rodriguez on a free transfer from Real Betis. And I believe he was closer to him, Barcelona, before that. That deal went through. They went then when he got to Tarebo from Nice. Again. Stolen. Stolen under Milan's noses. Yeah. That was, I mean, a loan with an obligation as well. So that would be next season, which I think is a fantastic deal from West Africa. And then, obviously, I remember Zacha that was confirmed earlier this morning. 10 to 15 million again. I think that's a really, really good deal. I think that a brat back is an area where they've struggled. I'm not going to be kind of too far on the list. I think he's very limited. He's just getting momentum. Yeah. I mean, for the money, he's been a really good sign in. But yeah. I mean, I'm killing, obviously, a number one from, obviously, Joe. It's actually the best one. Potentially the best one I've ever made. That's what it's actually. Well, if you come back, you know a lot more, but West Africa and me, because obviously, you know, than your neck of the woods. But if you remember this time last season, or, I say, last season, we were talking, not quite negative, but West Africa, but we were worried for West Africa because there was all this talk about them losing something like 12, 15 players because of contracts ended. And 90% of that was all from the back line. You know, you've been Johnson's, you're Zoom, you're, I've gone as, like, so not big names, but mainstays that, you know, I think the only person that was going to be registered still with them was the goalkeeper, Ariola, and Mother Panas, who hadn't really set the world on light. And God was rumored to be leaving, but he looks to be still there. I thought Kilman was a lot of money, but I think it's the red kind of person you need to bring in. You know, doesn't have to be Flash Kilman. It's kind of worked his way up. He saw it. He was the captain, I think, at Wolfman majority of last season. He's that kind of player that kind of suits West, I think. So I think he's a good one. I'm interested to see El Folkbrook, please. Just purely for the fact that he was so good last season, and, you know, he had a pretty decent Euro. The only concern I would have, and I joke about this in the WhatsApp is that West, I have a tradition of breaking number nine's who have done well in the home country to come over here and it just doesn't work out. Scamaka being the, you know, the four point of that. It was the other one. It was the other one there, so how? How much do you know that's it? They put a lot of their signs of kind of, you know, putting them into making a looking goal. They've actually done well there. I'm more impressed that actually they've managed to attract these names as probably more than anything else, because it's a bit of an unknown with having a new manager and you transfer strategy, if you like. It's a bit of an unknown that probably would be top dollar, let's be honest, in terms of wages. But I'd be very excited if I was a West fan fan. The first name you said, the first name you said, some of them, where does he, how does he get on that team now? It's funny, it's funny. But what it means, you're front, you've got full crook, you've got kudos, you've got Bowen, you've got Pacueta still there. Where does sort of come in? It's a good option, it's just like... I think, again, West fan, it depends on, you know, talking about strengthening that. I think that was the issue of a couple of injuries for a lot of points in our season. That defense, I think, that's the big one for me. And the managers coming in, obviously, looked at the defense and he's not happy with that at all. I will throw that. I think Titibo is going to be so far, I think he's the sign of the summer so far. I know they... I just, I probably don't know enough of it, and that's why I probably pick Hilton, because actually I think he does well there. Yeah, no, no, I was really, really impressed when I was seeing him. I was surprised, they managed to get him as well. Again, the way they must be, they must be. But they, they also must be planning to get rid of a few players. As you said, because I'd wear it still there, zoom up was meant to be going back. Thinking about the medical, say, come up in the medical average, that makes sense. I think it would terminate in this contract anyway. They're working, so if he does go there, he's going to go to somebody else from what I understand. Q, this is probably the one you've got questions about. Because, you know, there's always, there's always, there was talk about a transfer cause of, you know, a fear failure. I think he was always bored with the intention that he would always move on. He's not a kind of player that sits on the bench, in my opinion. So if he doesn't start the games, is he going to angle for a move? The one question I would have over them, over the whole of West Ham, is this Pekweta business? Whilst that is still unresolved, you know, and what I mean is he's quite pivotal to how West Ham play. You know, when West Ham play good, he gets any threats bolts through, he gets it, he's on the edge of the box, he contributes. This season, Instacart has your back to school. I'm still fully expecting him to probably get the biggest ban the FAA has ever handed out over this alleged spot fixing. We could do a whole part on what he's done and how he's done it and whether it's right or whether it's wrong. I'm still fully expecting them to throw the bootgum because it's so bad in terms of calling the game into district people. There's a piece actually I found on Twitter. Somebody wrote a piece where there was a guy from non-week that had done the exact same thing and he was banned for two years for two bets. Apparently, Piquetas is like three figures in terms of the amounts of bets that apparently have been an issue. I would be surprised if this is the biggest ban that they hand out. Again, there's a question more of Piquetas whether or not he's still going to be the, you know, what kind of format is he going to be banned or just going to sell him before he gets banned. I don't know what. I do think this is the West Ham sporting director previously. I think he was in a British endorsement as well. He was waiting for a window like this where he had full control. The noise obviously had a big say. I rightly saw it previously. I think this is the case before I let me fix my last one. They're not by Tom and he's a McWhares, are they? No, no, it's actually a chat. Yeah, it's a chat. He has split, doesn't it? Quite quickly. Four of those agree. Do you know what though? It's going to be interesting to see how they set up this season in terms of previously with more than obviously all the new players. It will be quite an interesting one. He expects to see on here and here a lot. As I said, I don't hear that. Put him into the top four. That's what they're at. As I was saying, what is going to constitute through a good season for West Ham? As they're just getting back into Europe or is it actually a challenge to top six, top four? I think getting back into the Europa League will be what, I think, the heading level. I think they'll be expected to do that. I think there'll be some shots for the top four because of the new signings. But I think a really good season, I think we're going to get back into that Europa League. Fifth, I think that's a great way to season. I still think there, even with the new signs, there's a lot of players that have got settled. I still think they're sure. I still think they're sure. Yeah, no, I agree. I agree. I still think there's teams above them that I still think have got more quality in the areas. But, yeah, it definitely wants to watch for them. With the transfer, it's a quiet one that every time someone put a transfer in, it seems that the West Ham? Jamie, for the teams that have come up this season, Ipswich, Southampton, and Leicester, I'm interested to see your thoughts on firstly Ipswich. Southampton, Leicester, straight back up after going down. Well-established Premier League clubs before they got relegated to be fair. I think they had a pro-tradical run in the Premier League, so they'll want to continue that. But how do you think Ipswich are going to fair this season? I'm kind of taller because I want to say, I think I'll do really well because it's the swan song. I feel like in the 20th year, the Premier League finally fought the way back to it, and they're going to do this tremendous, you know, have a tremendous time about it. However, I would say, cast you back to this time last season. Burnley had just delivered one of the best seasons ever in the championship, and we were all saying, I think, Burnley will stay safe, and they were absolutely honking. We said looting would probably do well because of them at home, and they're dead for a cut of the games, but they ultimately went down. I can't help but think that Ipswich, I'm just a dream for everybody. Everybody's getting hyped up going over. Amari has just suddenly signed him on a permanent English score of 12 goals last season. I say only 12. I don't mean that to be a discredit, but it's like 12 goals doesn't keep you in the Premier League. I think they've got some nice players. I like to look at the lead up front. I think of, guys, his name is at the lap. X, X City youngster, and he's a good wee player. I like Amari consciousness, he's another good player. He's got a cut of good players. I just can't help but think about how Burnley shot the bed. He's only like plums last season that would say that I'm going to go with the safe bit and say that Ipswich is still going to be in the bottom three. Yeah, you make really good points there. I'm not going to learn my lesson. You've got to pop and stop saying it. I think I think they've got a chance. I think they've got a chance. A chance it will. I stand up. I can't. What I will say, I can understand why people just jump to Leicester. More chance to stand up because Cooper's obviously got experience in the Premier League. He's kept the team up in the Premier League, but I do kind of like the... I see it. I'll put Ethan McKenna. I think he'll deal with the Premier League better than Vincent Company did. I've watched... If you've seen the company clips on this week, then you'll probably go, "Well, yeah, he's definitely a people." Even before that, though, David, I never found a Vincent Company in management. I remember seeing Summit similar with Andalette, him in the change room. It just doesn't sit. It didn't sit right. I just thought it doesn't sort of suit. And then watching him burn your team previously, I can't tell. I was jumping for joint watching him. I think we can be interested in how he does it because he can't be as open. I think they'll play a bit of no fear. And I think... David, I want them to do well because, as I said, it's been so long since you've been there. I do want them to do well. You look at the first two games, they've got Liverpool at home and then they're away to city. Realistically, I'm not going to put a kiss at Deaf on my own team and say, "We're going to win the game." But you're not expecting much from those first two games as from a net switch point of view. You're just expecting to have a good time and be present. It's very straight away. Let's just say they don't get nothing. Two games in the set and zero points and you go, "Fuck." We see it so many times and they're primarily don't we? It can happen as well. It can happen. They can take the window. It sounds quite quickly. Just on the other two, really quickly, then Jamie Southampton and their stuff. Russell Martin for Southampton had a good spell, obviously, in the championship last season. They dropped off quite dramatically and then they managed to sort of get it back together and keep their nerve to get back up to the Premier League through the playoffs. And Leicester, Bresco, getting them up, we'll touch on Chelsea in a second. But it could become in there. I'd say you look at their squad and compare it to some of the other teams down there. I don't think there's too much in it. They've definitely got an opportunity, Leicester. But do you think either of them, again, more constipretions and a minute, do you think? If you think they're going to go down, they're going to go down. Leicester have still got this hearing over them about whether or not they're potentially going to get done for Bresches at PSR. So they realistically could end up with, let's just say they end up with a second point deduction. Straight away, they're in the bottom three. You're going, "Fuck," here they go. Southampton are probably the most cleanest out of it, however, if you look at the team, it still looks a very championship team. Goals, where's the goals coming from? Yeah, Adam Armstrong, for me, just doesn't - he's not a Premier League player. I don't mean to do him a disservice, but... He's a good champion, he tried, right? Yeah, I know they've been trying to bring in players that obviously they made an offer for Matt O'Reilly, which you can see that. They didn't go into a team like that to add an injection of a midfield guy or whether he's going to end up there. I don't think so, but they're obviously trying these things. But if you go through the team, it looks very championship material. And I'm not trying to do them as a service, but Southampton probably are. The new Norwich, show the new west problem, whether just your with teams, you don't go up and down, get the Paris repayments and kind of study the boat. Leicester shouldn't be, but you look at some - I like some of Leicester's attacking options. They've got some unknowns in Fatowah, Mavidi, you know, but they've still got Jamie Vardy, and they've still got Dhaka, who, you know, not Jamie Vardy's terrible, but he's just clocking on now, in the approach. They don't have any actual anymore, he's now moved abroad, so you're just thinking, well, what does Leicester actually really have? I think one of their players in the season last season was Harry Winks, who's a bad unboxed boxman fielder. He went into the championship because he couldn't get a game in the Premier League, so I don't want a time to do him as a service, but I feel like I'm doing it, though. No, that's true. And again, I think he's a good championship player. I mean, I would even go as far as saying, I've put Everton in my bottom three for the last three years, which he's just been doing this. Everton have brought smartness with this window, which would put Leicester, so if I'm turning it to the end of the shirt, to get what I mean, like that's the kind of way I'm judging it, is that some of the teams that they would expect to be around them are actually signed pretty decent. Yeah. And then just going, yeah, we'll jump to over things. I know you're like talking about them, they've lost an honor to Aston Mila. They've got some serious money for them. Yeah. That was crazy. Well, what's your thoughts on that? What do you think? I'm not sold. No, absolutely not. I think I've seen him probably play about two good games in the whole time he was there. He was always arguing about refs and other players and stuff. He's a lucky character. He's very long-legged. He's got an extreme, but for the fee that he paid for him, Aston Villa, I mean, like, I don't see that one at all. Maybe Emily's thinking he can get something out to him, but I think it's good business for Everton to kind of get him off the books at that price. But, you know, with Everton, I think they've actually brought some decent players. Yeah. They brought the lad, they brought the lad there. Remember the lad that was Sheffield United? They got sold there in the day of the season and died. He went to Spencer France, didn't do any great in France, but they've got money issues, so they needed to get rid of him, so they brought him in, which bolsters their attack. As you said, they brought in the lad Linders, who seems to be a decent enough player. They've spent some serious money on the young lad that they brought in from France for Sinebacc. I'll get his name. Yeah. I'm interested to see how we get on to the key. I've seen him, I got the name for it. And last season, we're on TNT. And I think he's called a call of goals as well from the games I've seen. So, again, you just think, "Heaven, Granthwaite." You just think, "That's actually quite decent, young Sinebacc's partnership." You could break that. That kind of makes sense. So, yeah, I'm kind of, I'm not going to share it on everything this season. I don't think because I kind of expected something a lot better from them. Yeah. And then, just ask the miller, we just said that. And, Ana, the champions lead football for Aston Miller, which I think is doing, is a completely different kind of fish. I think you're in that competition. Great for him to be there. And then, Ross Bart, please come back, which gives him a good squad option. And he had a really good season, obviously, a little bit of a notch. Ian Mattson, I think that's a great time. That's a big challenge, obviously, obviously. And then, Ana, but just, again, sort of squad depth for Miller. I would still flag, I think, if you get, you see, like, with new cards. So, if you have a couple of bad results in the champions, it naturally can affect the, you know, the Premier League. And it's just that intensity on a Wednesday. And then, you go, again, on the weekend, where I think they're, I don't think they'll get top four in a new season. No, I'm actually more surprised that there's so many people putting them in the top four, you know, in their predictions, but pundits and stuff. I'm actually more surprised that people are putting evidence. I'm sorry, Aston Villa, in that kind of compensation. I just don't see it. I think, as you said, the European football will take it out a little bit. They probably got the best type of manager to balance that in terms of, and I am, you know, he's, he's well experienced, he's well versed. So, I think he'll do okay. But I don't think they've added that much quality to the team. And, and, Matson, really like Matson. I don't think on Nana is the same level as Douglas Luis. And, and I think they've been asking, well, they've lost to, who's the lead? Diabi, who I really like. He, he, he got a fair few goals last season, and I don't think they've replaced them. It's not time for them to do something. But, yeah, I just, you know, I think, I think they'll do what Newcastle did. I think they'll, they'll look at the Champions League. They'll try the best in the Champions League. But I think they'll probably finish top-sex-ish. And, you know, be lucky to get out to the group if they can. Yeah, and, and, and just, just the last thing more, it's actually before we come to predictions. I mentioned a minute. It's Chelsea. Personally, I don't think Mariski gets the till Christmas. I'm with you. I'm with you. I think he's gone by Christmas. I can't understand his appointment. The signings, the whole signing strategy, I think it's messy. Pedro Nel is the latest one. Thirty-fifth plans to be signed permanently under the top-hourly as well. And good power on his day, but just so injury prone. And I'm still trying to understand, I mean, I know what they're doing. It's for money. Obviously, the corner got, got a good deal to, to a festival. They, they want that on the end for financial fair play. But look at that new field. And I'm just like, who you're replacing. And what's, what is going on with Chelsea? They've had a really bad problem. I think the problem that everybody has with Chelsea is, name their start on 11 this weekend. Yeah. And you don't know where to start, do you? Because you've got five goalkeepers. You've got four centerbacks. You've got like six leftbacks to, two right backs, now, but 12 midfielders. You've got, you know, it's ridiculous. It's absolutely mental. And I thought it was funny this year that, sorry, that we've seen the new contracts have been signed by Cole Palmer. He signed like a seven-year contract. I guess he was always going to be rewarded free season. So they've probably brought him on, let's just say it was seconding. And he's probably going to be double his money just to kind of make sure he stays there, which is fine. But apparently they're doing the same with Nicholas Jackson. They'll get that much of a good season. But there is, there is a, there is a school of thought that's going to be coming with Chelsea. That probably does make a better sense further down the line. And the school of thought is that because of the, a brand of which bootkeeping issues that's going on with the FA, apparently that will come, that will be, you know, the outcome of that will be known within the next three months. And it probably expected that they might end up with a transfer, but hence the reason why they potentially stop piling now. Yeah. But that's just a school of thought. That's just, you know, Juneau's putting their thoughts together on what they're, what, trying to rationalize what the hell it is top bowl is doing. When the reality is probably just set the plate fancy manager and just go and rate who can do it no way. It is, yeah. Yeah. It just doesn't, it's messy. And even the appointment in Mariska I think is just, you know, messy. Funny thing is apparently they're still talking to us about, which apparently has got a bio close for about 95 million. So you'd like, surely not. But it looks as though they might be. You just can't help it laugh. I feel bad. I don't know what, laugh frustrated. I mean, we're struggling to spend two million pounds on the other player. So these things, you know, spending this money is absolutely crazy. Jamie, what's your top four prediction then for this season? Oh, God, I'm going to get burned for this, but I'm going to go lift Paul. I'm going to go lift Paul purely for the fact that nobody expects us to do it. We'll finish second. I think Arsenal will finish third. Fourth, I'm going to go. I'm going to go Tottenham for fourth. And I think, you know, Villa Chelsea and Manuel and Newcastle will be fine for the remaining spots. But yeah, top four, I'm going to say Liverpool City Arsenal and Tottenham. Yeah, Liverpool, that's the first one. But listen, you never know. You could get up to it. Are we right, one day? Yeah. I've gone with Mansey to win it again. Liverpool are on stage. Arsenal third and Spurs fourth. Can I ask why it's put Arsenal to do Liverpool? I still personally, I still don't see the hype with Arsenal. I think Liverpool dropped city points towards the end of last season. And I think they would have finished, you know, I think they would have finished above Arsenal. And it was up again with Liverpool. I mean, how many times Liverpool got a goal behind last season? Three one was a favourite score. I don't think that happened to see that. I think it was like, you've got my colour system in there as well. You're from five, you've got, I think you've still got the ammunition to run sea closest. Even though Arsenal, you know, can't take maybe a bit of Arsenal. I still think, I don't know, I still, I still not, I'm not keen now. I'm still not over enjoyed by the Arsenal side. I think the one thing for Arsenal, I think it's going to go against them. It's a massive oversight by Arsenal fans as they expect the team to remain the same as what it did last season. And what I mean by that is that, I'll tell you it made very, very few changes because I think it was like nine players started something like nearly 30 games together out of the 15 that they had. You know, that's very unheard of. You know, I think when Liverpool win the league, Liverpool did something like that. They had very, very limited changes. You get the consistency. You see the next season, you've got, we had like four defenders out within the first three weeks and two midfielders. We had defenders, midfielders playing and centre back and stuff. I just don't think Arsenal can expect that kind of injury record this season. I know they had long-term injuries to people like Julian Timbins or landscape. Wait, you give Sakura a couple of weeks, you give habits, a couple of weeks, you give a deco, race a couple of weeks, you go. They might be a bit thinner. That's probably the difference for me with them. Yeah, no, I've got to agree with that. The Colin's gone with Arsenal to win the league. He's gone with City 2nd, Man United 3rd and Spurs. So he's just out of Liverpool as well, isn't he? Yep, he's dead. Graham's also gone with Arsenal, he's all in the league. City 2nd, Liverpool 3rd and Man United 4th. He's the main new guy in there, both for Graham and Colin. And Johnny's gone with Arsenal as well, so there's three out of five of us going for Arsenal to win the league. City 2nd, Man United. I think Johnny was City 2rd, Arsenal 2nd, Liverpool, 3rd and Chelsea 4th. He had a late change. Oh, did he? Yeah, the late change with Arsenal. We'll ask him again tomorrow, but he changed. He's got Chelsea in that top four, there's no bias going on there, is there? No. So that was the top four. And bottom three, Jamie, I think you've said same three this week. Yeah, I think the same three that come up just purely for the difference of, I think, squad depth will play a big thing. But I just look at the three teams that are coming up and they just look like championship teams. It's probably the best thing, the softest thing I can say about that. Yeah, yeah, I got that. I'll change it a little bit. I went with less stuff to go down, Forrest and Southampton. So, yeah, now they're not going to be interested. I think Forrest will do well this season. I think if you look at their opening fixtures, they're like their first eight fixtures. You're like, they've got a really good run in terms of not playing the bigger teams. I think if they get consistency out of people like Alanda, Hudson and Doy, Chris Woodson stuff, I think they'll actually find them. I just don't mind. You just don't mind, you know? I just don't. I don't know. I don't know. I don't think it's fine in the end for just the foot style. So that's why I've gone in there without. Graham's gone with Frankfurt, but after asking on that one, again, they had a really poor season last year. The season actually compared to the other. So maybe they are on the decline. Forrest as well. And he's got Southampton to his bottom three. Johnny, Forrest, again, Leicester and Ipswich and Colin, Forrest. So I'm the only one that hasn't won Forrest? Yeah. Yeah. He's got more than a good season. I don't know what's gone. I wonder who's going to be bigger out there. So the bottom three is always a good one. I'm on this on this problem. Quite early on, we can see who's definitely in the mix. Jamie, so you're signing of the season so far, obviously, in still two weeks. So maybe I'll bring you something again. Yeah. I think it's far too early to be calling on signings in terms of who's the best. What I would say is there's probably a couple at Du Lake. I think Full Crogate West, I like the look of. And actually, I'm going to say a quite little look of Fabio Cavillio, who's just left a look. Paul's going to Brentford. He'll get game time at the Brentford. He scores goals every time he ever, everywhere he goes. And he's had a really good preseason. I can see him playing up top with the likes of and Bueno and Tony and being that third alternative. I like the look of him. Not saying he's going to be top goals going around. Which means I think people are overlooking him a little bit. But Salenki, I like the look of going to Tottenham just purely for the fact he's went to Tottenham. But I think it's still too early to be saying signing of the window probably for me. But I like the look of some of them. Yeah. That is day's trip. Again, I may be bringing us up again in a couple of weeks so we can get the full window out of the way. I said earlier, I went with Taribo for the moment. He's obviously gone with Salenki and Graham and Johnny. We'll talk on before as well at West Ham and a little shout out for Johnny as well for Emerald Street Throw. So full on which, again, you know, a decent player as a player. That's a good chance. I think he's a good player to go there. I think it's probably a good kind of club for him to kick on with. Definitely, definitely. I agree with that. And then to finish it up for tonight with our predictions, Johnny. Jamie, who do you think will be the first manager set? I'm going to say, I think it'll either be Russell Martin or it'll be Tenharg. I think my rescue gets still Christmas. I think Tenharg probably gets to November. Russell Martin will be under the course if they don't have a decent start. To the season. I think Lester will stick with somebody like Steve Copple a lot more. I don't think he's going to go anywhere. And obviously, you know, Ipswich is not going to ponder their manager either. So you're looking elsewhere really aren't you? I think Tenharg's on shaky ground, just because of what we've already discussed. Probably has it a guess of some really self-emptant. It'll probably ditch their manager first. Me, Johnny and Colin, have we gone with? I'm going to say Nuno because obviously there's a whole pot of bloody rest there. Sorry for this done? Yeah. Oh, no, no. Turn on that. Me, Graham and Johnny have gone with Nuno. Colin's actually gone with it. Oh, Eddie. Eddie Howe. So no. I thought Eddie Howe would be gone by Christmas last year if you remember. Yeah, he should be. But for some reason, they stuck with him. Well, they've got goably done this season. Yeah. So, yeah, I don't know. We haven't really touched on Newcastle, but, I mean, squad's looking more or less the same as last year. Still got a month to go. That has to be gone for it. Yeah, there's some good fixes, obviously, in the first weekend as well. We've got Chelsea and Man City on the Super Sunday. Leicester's buzzing on Monday. I know you've got a manual full of months, then you open on Friday night. How livable have landed a half-12 kick off at the first game of the season. Colin would be fucking just sitting there in one to just go and fuck's sake. Do you know what I mean? We understand Villa. That's a hard five on the set of the night. That could be a problem. That could be a bit of a bounce from a base to what we said. Yeah. But I'll go west and win another one. Definitely. That's definitely going the weekend. I think to me. Yeah. That one. That's my book. Oh, good ones. But that would be a pick. Always there to do. Thanks for tonight. Jamie. I'm sure we can get them in the next few weeks. Just a little shower. Make sure you keep it right on the socials. We've got a fantasy football premiere as well. I'm actually going to give it a miss this year now. I know that's really boring. But last two years, I've just not kept up with it. But doesn't mean you shouldn't. We've got good prizes. So make sure you keep up on socials. And I'll make sure I put them in the description as well. Thanks for tonight, David. Thank you. We'll be back next week to go over the results as they come in. But as always, thanks for listening.
