[MUSIC] >> Momma and everyone that welcome to The Count who's doing news for first of the week from August 2024. Glorious Sunday morning up here in Ochney and it's a public holiday gift today. So overall, both work. I'm joined this morning by a different Jack, the so-called things range, just how you get on this morning Jack. >> Yeah, this is a best start to the mornings because I told you before we came on, but they came on with a wife's card and a carpet guy coming in. So, yeah, this is positive for you and hopefully. >> All right, that's a great way to get a positive spin on it. So a couple of things to touch on first ticket news from the club. The beating game and the SPFL trust trophy set in front of his client. Details have now been confirmed in a meeting that was parked on wait the 14th of August was a 745 PM tick off and then ticket information for the movie is at home. I suppose you would say, and then on 13th of August, 745 tick off. So my years three sale will be until 9 p.m. tomorrow morning Friday. And then it's general sale from 10 p.m. Depending on the volatility in the low end position in the box. Especially which is because they get affected as well. So, empty some transfer split position. Annabel naturally Jack. The Bressee Romano is reporting that Mayonnaise is then looking for that government transfer for them. And Rangers are more sort of looking for the loan. And I think that's very much what we really expected. Romano is noticing that with some paper he'll come to Rangers. My thing with us, like, you know, the ball that fits in the pieces and things, all that I get it. But I just feel as if no, that's stage in the transfer. When all we should know that it will look in instead to get one or two more experienced eggs in rather than staying in another young player. We've brought in a number of young players already. And from really only one or two guys that we're going to see in the starting 11th. What's your thoughts? You think we should push the ball out to stay in this game? I don't know what you think it's something more that we should do. Some would think we'll experience. I would definitely be looking for more experienced in that position. I've touched on a couple of times that were best missed fielders at the club. Sterling, where he plays midfield, Barrendi Amanda are all very young. That would be unfair to expect him to carry the Canway, the lucky experience for all season. I totally get the man we are coming for. There's no point in them putting him in loan where you're left. They obviously just rare to get money from because then that would be a model for them to bring guys that have been fair broad and move on for money and make money somehow. So, him company as a loan makes no sense to remind you and any other character or sales. But the same, whereas if you're trying to get some, they'll try and get a fee for us. I don't know if my behind him was worried about if I knew I'd rest that situation late on the window. It might be worried about when he needed me or we want to. But I think I've touched on a couple of times as well. I feel like we still need a spine even way proper coming in. If that means to permanent transfers and experience in one loan, I could go with that. I think that's sort of what will happen. But I would try and get an experience guys and first, don't know if you agree or know about it. I think we need to get an experience made for you. I've done a mention a couple of names. When brands have been mentioned like Maclean and Fleck, and I mentioned all of them over the last week. Some day in that, can I mode? I mean, I can't agree. And one of the other guys that have been linked to a real castle band, and I hope I'm saying that, right? He's a 19-year-old, Chelsea in the field. And apparently two cards are talking. But the second point is to be that Rangers won't hold on to a weapon option to buy. And Chelsea just wants to free up loan. But again, it's the same thing, you know, to be bringing in more young players, especially when the field goes entering the men on loan. As you touched on, in a midfield pairing of Byron and D.M.A. and I'm actually pretty pleased with that. I think, you know, Byron so far looks excellent. I'm really really pleased with how these started this season. I like the Amanda. I like sailing in my field. But, you know, I think we need that more experience in there rather than going for these younger players. In addition to the kind of midfield already sort of talked about, Tom Lawrence, you know, he's maybe a wee bit more experienced than maybe kind of playing in and out in my field. But like, I just, I don't know what field is if we need somebody, maybe not sex or the eight position, not necessarily to play up the game, but just being in and around the midfield coming in and do. Maybe I can have Ryan Jack type player, or as you mentioned, I'm playing not somebody like that. So I've been testing to see what happens then. I do think that should be the priority note for the manager. It's just kind of getting guys at that end. But just on Tom Lawrence, obviously, we've seen the situation that had you and we can't well and all the problems discussed this week. That yesterday, for my money, I think willing to get that open government now and just get the two density of the door even if we're not going to get a big transfer fee for them. But what's you're thinking of Tom Lawrence? This is, you mean speaking to me, part of the manager's plan. Do you think he's good enough to be in that midfield or else can I play in that number 10 role? Tom Lawrence, I've already had links ever been in creation. It's been the availability and the reliability of him, unfortunately. I would say that was probably one of his best Windows games. I think it was his best Windows games in the PSV game two years ago. Against Koeva, I thought he liked that very well with midfield forward and whenever I fell back to the ball, it was available, making sale available every time. I've never had anything against Lawrence. I know he's good player. I think the vibe just kind of being, we all feel like in a sting room, almost like he's kind of falling into the mode that Holland and Ruth and Ryan Jack are going to be really, you just couldn't align him to be fit at all. If he was to stay fully fit, it's a great addition for the season. But can you honestly see that happening? And as you said, see, we can't be unhappy. We just need the decision made because the longer there are no soldiers down here and say, man, we might want to leave. But I've never said that we don't want to play football. So it needs to get sorted as soon as that situation, because that's two decent players just having the nothing and that's no good at all. Yeah, I mean, I was always a big fan of Janice Hadrian, the late plan with, say, you know, I thought can't wear games a lot in terms of his logistics ability that he's in the streams there for. And he's attitude, you know, he's always won the appeal to want to get stuck in. It's a shame, but obviously for not part of the mindset plans and the guys themselves want to lose them, not straight enough, you know, you can't at all. But yeah, I do wonder, you know, if that was the right thing to do, just to have them play with the team until we lose, or to demand that they have intended to play them. Like, you know, would you trust the two of them? And the team, right? They've got to go in and sort of have a game. I have 100% trust Haji. I've never seen it in that boys attitude behavior. When I've seen him in a Eurozine watch them sometimes all of his last season, so he always never gave time. He can never crash in his commitment or never hide. Can't well see as much as people might say the bad stuff about him. See if he plays, he wants to be the guy who wins you the game. He wants to get stuck in. I know he's nobody's cup of tea, but if he's still here, I would, you know, imagine just totally different. It's his decision. He knows a lot more about it than me. I'd be looking to still get him playing. As for something like if can't well play that Haji played Europe, does that have potential Eastern European suitors like Limisole? Teams like that, it put off, I don't know if he'd be European cup tied, like where our golden went. So there's maybe more to it in that sense. If Haji was to go back to Romania, for example, would he go to a team or a team in Turkey? Maybe it's like a playing for a team that plays in Europe. So that's maybe when we're like, where this can't really afford he'd be more English championship. If he was to leave us, so maybe that's why he could easily. You don't need to worry about him for European games, but I just think it's going to be salty because I've heard that of all the rumours we sell because it's really awesome. Apparently it's a tighties when it's pushed for a move, but it's still going to play him and get to $1, because they are not naive enough to go, "Well, I'm no playing a tightie, but we're still going to play our best players and get good money from unfortunately." Yeah, and I think, you know, there's a big frustration there for me because they're focusing almost like routinely to be able to take down players and then sell them on a huge drop, but this thing is really well with that and we can have the one. And I wonder if we asked you it myself, "Are we that weird way Haji and Campwell not being in the team?" You know, it's obviously like potential problems that could have come in for these guys as well. We've seen them play and, you know, it's not as if you need to be seeing them play. No, but I do feel as if they could make a contribution to the team and, you know, that Haji is a very creative player, as a Skamwell, and they could be doing things for us to not just have addressed and set tolerance, but be if they're actually out and playing at the moment, and that way they might try to listen to do something. But at the end of the game, that could be the tapping point for a club go and actually get going for that guy, because I'm not sure if that's got any speculation at all about any club actually coming in for any of these two. I've been like with any of the two of them, not that I can recall. Going back to Tom Loddins, though, like you, you can mention Jack, and it was, I don't think he's a bill that he's in question, and I think it's right, like, I like his vision, you know, like his way of getting, and then they're in the box and heading short through this and stuff like that. I think the big issue for me, I say, from Tom Loddins' fitness, I also just don't think he's necessarily brought the pace. Some things, well, I think we need the legs to play in the sport shoot ball, you know, and I thought, like you, I thought you'd be in against the end, and it was weird to see that the ring just support this sort of idea, is like a couple of the guys that I talked to watching, oh, he was absolutely honking, that was the watch game I've ever seen in the play, and he was totally rubbish, and he's not the answer. And I'm no necessarily clean, and that Loddins is the answer, but, you know, it's funny how two people can watch it in a football and have completely different opinions on the same player, is I, I thought he'd have quite failed, you know, I was quite pleased with all this contribution, he got us going earlier, the shot from outside the vault, and, of course, he had managed to set the tone, and he was involved in the press, so with that, but I do know what he's the season goes on, he's now got the legs, especially for, if we're going to get in the press as high, you know, and then, I don't know that he's necessarily answering that slot, but the other thing that we're getting read to all, hygiene can't well, and Loddins seems to be hanging around, they do think he's probably part of the manager's plans, and the manager might be like, "It seems that I wonder if the manager's kind of looking at it from the point of view that he's maybe not always intending to play a number 10 this season, he might go for the kind of slot in my field three week, any thoughts on that?" I think it's really real to how divisive it was, because it's even you're a very demokative, you're not going to win for your phone now, and your playmaker's going to be playing lines of that, and that's no one you have. I thought he made the sale available, he always looked to get involved. Now, I've seen games or lones, it passed some vibe effort, in my opinion, he looked to make things happen, and always looked for the vault, and then he hid any link that way out, and I said, "I've always looked to see when you're playing, you're up your field back, get a lot in the vault, and see, since Kent left, I've always looked at the first immediate pass, so you need to come inside, and some things that could go to Camara and Jack, when we were in the good European days a couple of years ago, and it would start something. But I've never really seen as much as that last season, because there are players that can't left, but see a lones, I thought he showed a good availability to take the ball from, and look for it, and see when he was doing that, that then means that it's just getting more time to pick a run, or whatever, it makes it a bit easier. Now, don't worry, go carry the win one game, but I did think a lones don't work, and because he's a availability, he's always witnessing that, we can't really hang what happened, but as you said, if the managers know we were playing number 10, so if he's just taking right, that's the one I'm left with, I can get money for the other two, maybe there's a bit in that as well, and if he's no one using number 10s, but nobody's going to buy Tom Lones off as a gig as a reach, even of what he said he said that's no one happened with us, can't really, and had you, probably they have as much as we've been in, like to anybody in particular. My dad works in B2B marketing, he came by my school for career day, and said he was a big row as man, then he told everyone how much he loved calculating his return on ad spend. Get a $0 delivery fee with your first three orders while supplies last, minimum $10 in order, additional terms apply. That's the ones that we'd probably move on. There's no other habit here, but I'm not a manager. Ah, and I think, you know, like, it's a fair point of it, can't we? Or how do you get the ones that we can get something for? And so I am hopeful that by the end of the window, we would have gotten there, and hopefully we get them in enough time to free up the wages and a bit of funds to actually get somebody in that's a kind of priority for the manager. So then, firstly, what happens is, I say, I wonder if he's going to look at more of a flat-medfield fee for a lot of this season, and just based on the encommings that are going so far, he might say a high profile number of 10 later in the window, and technically, really wants to go with a number of pen for the whole season. So, we'll see what happens. So, moving on, we're also linked with Tommy Conway and sort of general national study currently at Bristol City. He's in the freezer out there because he didn't commit himself in the summer, so as far as I understand, it would be a life of a season later on his contract. And the manager at Bristol City has said that you do that in this window. I think that's been traced, isn't it? Sarah Dez was really defensive in just support as a striker. I like him. I think his goal return is OK. I'd like it to be there, wouldn't we all? But if you look just in terms of numbers, there's not many players recent. So, the last two decades, even the manager said, goal return was Dez was caught last season. But I think we all realized that two or three chances in every game we would expect. A little number 90 score, Dez was my system. He did make it count, obviously, the other night against Kiev. I also thought it would be a chance for you to get a header and the goal that goes up and makes them save. You know, really, Dez was shoot ahead to that night, and you can't fall in for that one with a header, because he did everything right. But, you know, I know we've also spoken with Dez on the podcast, but Dez was future. Do you think looking at a guy like Tommy Conway is the right thing to do? Do you think it's back with Dez? Do you think you go with another option? We definitely need to add another striker, because what I've seen, the small things I've seen in the Nilo in the Birmingham game, and is it if I act friendly? He looks so off it, and that leaves his wages, Dez was then. So, I don't know enough about Tommy Conway to say if he should be a Rangers player or no, but we do need to get someone else in up front. And that's not even having to go with Dez was, because I actually would still have Dez was in around the team. But it can, just like you said, Bill Lawrence, what you said, the goals in Tommy last season. Certain guys kind of have been playing 40 or 50 years of season, but people see Dez was missing more chances, because he's the only striker in the team. He missed chances. That responsibility is not getting split by anybody else. So, he misses more. But he's the one that plays the most. So, he is carrying a can for that. And I agree with people when they say, he should be scoring more than I did get that, 'cause against Harts, he's got to score one of a three chances, right? I'd expect a decent strike on me, and I'll try to get to score one of a three. But when you look at it as well, he's scored goals in Kiev. He's now scored goal. No, no, no, and Ricky, I play. He's got going fair. He's got to get to bet. It's a way. Scored against goals at Parkhead. So, he does bring something to your team, where are people like it or no? Yeah, and I think, you know, that example, you've mentioned, that the trust ball hits. Like, I remember, at the time when boy does it range, as the criticism he used to get about getting scored against. So, if it can be something like that, you know, getting scored against. Dez was positive score for what important goals for us. And I think there's something that you said, they're drafted about how Dez was the only guy. Like, you know, I can't remember the last time we started. Somebody else up from, you know, has always been Dez's. So, ever since then he looked at his engine. He looked at it. And so, yeah, Dez was just the only one that we're seeing. That's the chances, because he's the only one. He's getting himself in the possessions. This score is, you know, really good positions. It just be frustrating for some things, you know. I'm further wicked than Dez's. I truly behind Dez's first season, starting as well. We're an in striker. I think he'll get his enough goals to justify it. I just, like you, I think, get somebody else in and out of there. Because we need somebody else. You know, Dez has made score 25 goals. We need somebody else that's going to get team effective as well. And they're in a number and position of what can be played off there. So, something like that. And I'm not really seeing it for the moment. The new role could come good. And I liked the new role. You know, I thought before this injury, I was really pleased with what I was seeing. And I actually think that the case was saying that these would be that more ruthless than Dez was winning. When the ball comes in in front of all. But I don't necessarily think he gets in. So, when the possessions that Dez was does, to create the number of chances that Dez was does. So, the interesting thing is we've talked, obviously, a bit multiple different guys on the podcast that could come in as a striker in principle among them, is Shankland. And I think, you know, everybody did it. I think through a goal that Shankland was in and all of that. And then it didn't happen. And I know that's the basis among the Rangers fans. But that's linked to Tommy Conne. We know, I don't know if that's one of these things where, because the wrestler says that at the end, because, you know, it could be a decent factor. I just know about, I don't know if there's actually anything in it. And tell me, is he announced, by one of the things that we're getting into, the pursuit of a manual. You do have to treat him with that speculation. Okay. So, moving on then, the next match, you and I won't be back on the podcast before we kick off and start. Okay, Francis have played mother whale at home at Hamden. It's a three-clock kick off. Hi, you can see a struggling jack. You know, like, we struggle against the last season. I don't know what we're about playing. We'll be sort of setting hoping for myself that we won't be starting that game. We sort of, if he's, is this then about playing, I think that could end really badly for us. Even if we get the move on, you know, like, I think we just need to go out and battle it. And start together, but I don't know what stage do relationships aren't so far. Maybe we're trying to consider. Either way, I think mother whale, because of the game, I think a physical team, they get forward with whale, and he saw last season, like, even Connor Gludsen. I think it was Gludsen, so it would have played, when we played them, I brought in Theo Brea, Arthur Wiltman, ragdoll, Connor Gludsen, the entire league. We didn't believe both of them. So I can see his struggling, but I'm going to hang my hat on it and say that Vince was rolling there, which was actually 1-1, because we need to win now today, taking a really kick start this season. What's your predictions? I'm actually quite immune to an active player, playing mother whale away. I see me hang my play bat. Mother whale seemed to be quite a frustrating team. But they come out, but it's always seemed to have a good strike, and it can lead a line for that system. And they seem to be good at kicking about the park. That'll go against us at hand, because it takes longer to get the ball back in the park. They're always very physical. I actually think, but I think we'll be quite comfortable. I think we'll be too often now. This would be a game get proper, and where do they play battle again or no? I would, even if that means bringing them off after an hour, if we're comfortable, because I'd be playing him next to your games, and no reason might no be up to it, but one doing a position, no play motherling after. I mean, I thought because I had a really good game, and I was only one player that did it, and it was sort of a very poor game, unfortunately, just didn't look confident. And I usually have it caused us to go over the offset, standing so naively in an offside position, and no man's land. So, I think we'll be already, actually, against Motherwell. Keep the ball, move it about. Team, we've done to the last half of it against Kiev. Play like that, and Motherwell will know what it is. And if we were to be too often not way, half of your 20 minutes to go, get, turn, you're off, get, ball again off, get bad enough, and get any more, even days as well, and get on him ready for Kiev. And if we were lucky enough to play Kiev and ball again, when to go right, the next league game, and the League Cup game, you don't need to have that, right? Because if sort of isn't up to playing the other games at home, we'll forget the problems. But, yes, we'll put it, actually, I'll go for you now, Rangers. Lovely confidence, mate. I am ballerkin, though, but that is an interesting one, because I think if you don't really see him having a bad game, very often, you know, whenever it comes in, even if he's not played in quite a while, he always looks calm, assured. I don't think he's lost a younger pace, and all the time, you know, between his first-land seconds fails. I think he still looks as quick as he ever did. And I know we all seem to talk about it, rather than not being able to do it through three games a week. I'm not sure I've actually seen any evidence that that's the case, but we'll see what happens if, you know, he has to do that. But, yeah, yeah, right, you know, struggles and a couple of games, I think. You know, it's a real concern. And hopefully, Trapper will be a good setting in, but it does make me wonder if we need to still pray all the tests, get in another experience, send a back-end when, you know, from the wake of the July and June. So, I mean, it's a shame, because I like John Soot as a boy, and I have the great high hopes for him coming in. It ranges a lot of the time he just does in the cover and says, "I'm cool, Vik," you know. Okay, so I think that's probably going to do this for today, folks, and before we wrap up, then, I really called it, actually, if you could give us a like, yeah, subscribe to the YouTube channel, maybe check us out on Twitter, if you're interested in joining, or becoming a YouTube member as well. That'd be all much appreciated, and helps keep the lights on, going through each few. As I always say, what we've got coming up tonight, Thursday, Andy, is on with the Thursday Night Live show, and Andy and the boys probably will be looking at the game book, here at the game in a bit more detail, talking about art, as well as going out to look ahead to the Mother Rail game, and whatever the poll can possibly come up with. And then, tomorrow morning, Friday, Colin, and the boys are all in the first of the day, we'll use the last one, so imagine you're touching the Mother Rail game, as well as whatever other breaking stories out there. So, thanks, everybody, for joining us today. Thanks, Jack, for coming on and to have you in it, and to all of you as a listeners, hope you all have a great day, and we will see you soon. Thank you.
