How To Fix Samsung Galaxy S9 Randomly Making Calls
Picked up my galaxy s9 about a week ago, was at home tonight when my phone was ringing and saw my mom was calling.. She answered and asked why I was calling her? I said that I was not calling her and that I was answering a call from her.. So we both hung up, I assumed she called me on accident. I lefty phone in my room, and walked into the other room to talk to my folks when my dad’s phone was ringing and said I was calling! I said I don’t even have my phone on me, and it’s in my room. My mom mentioned she had two other missed calls from me. What makes things even more odd is I don’t have my dad’s number in my s9 yet but his phone showed it was me calling and my caller ID showed it as him? I’m at a complete loss of ideas of how this is possible or what may be going on? Andy help would be greatly appreciated!!

Solution, normally, your phone should not be making any outgoing call on its own unless something is triggering the device to make a call, listed below are some of the troubleshooting steps that you need to perform to fix this problem. Remove the case and screen protector, if your phone has a case and screen protector then I suggest that you remove these as this could be causing the problem. Try to observe if the issue still occurs. Disable the direct call feature. The direct call feature allows you to hold the phone up close to your ear and the contact whose message or contact detail is on the screen will be dialed. The issue you are experiencing right now could be caused by this feature. From the home screen, swipe up or down to access the apps screen.touch settings.touch advanced features. Navigate to and touch direct call.touch the slider to turn off direct call.check if the issue occurs in safe mode, there's a possibility that an app you downloaded can be causing this problem. So check if this is the case you should start the phone in safe mode. Press and hold the power button until the power off prompt appears then release touch and hold power off until the safe mode prompt appears then release.to confirm, tap safe mode.once the phone is in safe mode you should observe if the issue still occurs in this mode. In case it doesn't then this is most likely caused by a downloaded app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. Back up your phone data then do a factory reset.
