NBC News Radio. I'm Lisa Carton, former President Trump, and Vice President Kamala Harris will hold dueling campaign events in the battleground state of Pennsylvania this weekend. Trump is holding a rally later today in Wilkes-Barr in the northeastern part of the state. Harris will kick off a bus tour of Western Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh tomorrow, leading up to Monday's start of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Both campaigns are targeting the state with advertising blitzes. Censions remain high in the Middle East, with ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas scheduled to resume next week. President Biden said Friday that his administration is closer than ever to striking a ceasefire deal in Gaza. I don't want to jinx anything, but as my grandfather said, the gracious guy's good little neighbor's lot of luck. We may have something, but we're not there yet. At least 17 Palestinians were killed and dozens were wounded in an Israeli strike today. Lisa Carton, NBC News Radio.
