College is expensive, but being a man shouldn't be. Score 60% off Jeremy's Razor's one-year bundle and dominate campus life. While others conform, you'll stand out, clean-shaven and unapologetic. Major in masculinity at jeremesraisers.com today. I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief John Vickley. It's Wednesday, July 10th, and this is your Morning Wire Afternoon Update. Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has filed articles of impeachment against Supreme Court justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. She cites their alleged failure to disclose gifts from individuals with "business before the court" and their refusal to recuse themselves from related cases. Ocasio-Cortez argues that such actions would lead to removal in any lower court and disqualify nominees to the Supreme Court. The impeachment effort is extremely unlikely to move forward. A congressional investigation has uncovered evidence of an advertising coalition influencing online speech. That's according to a House Judiciary Committee report. Daily Wire Editor Brent Schur has more. The report alleges that the Global Alliance for Responsible Media or GARM has encouraged its members to steer ad dollars away from disfavored content, and specifically names news outlets including the Daily Wire, Fox News, and Breitbart as targets. The report came just ahead of a hearing today on whether GARM is violating federal competition laws. Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro testified at that hearing and made the case that GARM operates like a cartel. Shapiro went at it with Democrat members of the committee, most notably Eric Swalwell, who instead of engaging on the censorship issue, drilled Shapiro with questions about Project 2025, asking Shapiro for his positions on abortion, gay marriage, and deporting illegal immigrants. From looking at social media, most viewers say Shapiro came out on top. "On just like a scale of 0 to 100 percent, how much do you support Project 2025?" "I think like President Trump, I haven't looked all that deeply at Project 2025, but it seems that Democrats on this committee sort of like Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, if they say Project 2025 enough, their presidential candidate becomes alive again." The Israeli Defense Forces called on civilians to evacuate Gaza City as it signals a continuation of its war against Hamas. Here with the latest is Daily Wire reporter Tim Pierce. The message was delivered online and via leaflets dropped in the area calling Gaza City a "dangerous combat zone." It's the latest in a string of warnings urging Palestinian civilians to evacuate combat areas. The move follows an airstrike in southern Gaza yesterday that hit a shelter. The IDF said it was targeting Hamas militants, but will conduct an investigation. Meanwhile, the U.S. aid pier in Gaza will be rebuilt and then permanently disabled. The pier ceased operations in June with the U.S. military citing security concerns, before being dismantled due to bad weather. It will be reinstalled for several days before being permanently removed. So far, the pier has cost U.S. taxpayers $230 million. White House press secretary Kareem Jean-Pierre now admits that the president was, in fact, seen by a Parkinson's specialist at the White House after telling reporters the opposite. This comes as more influential figures call on the president to step down. Today, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi voiced support for Biden, but stopped short of a full-fledged endorsement. Following Biden's exclusive interview with ABC news host George Stephanopoulos, Stephanopoulos himself also voiced concerns over whether the president could serve another term. Here's what he told TMZ. 6 illegal immigrants have been charged in a massive credit card skimming scam, spanning 6 East Coast states. The suspects are all in the country illegally hailing from Romania and the British Isles. The scam involved putting fraudulent devices at ATMs and retail checkouts, which look like and are placed over real card readers. Skimming devices capture a card's information while it's inserted, which can then be transferred and used on a fake card. The suspects allegedly used the stolen card information to withdraw over $300,000 and make an unknown number of retail purchases. Opening arguments in a new trial against Alec Baldwin got underway today. Prosecutors argued that Baldwin's firearm safety rules violation during the filming of Rust led to the fatal 2021 onset shooting. While prosecutors highlighted Baldwin's unsafe handling of the gun, the defense stressed the critical issue of how and why a live bullet ended up on set. The actor was practicing a cross draw when the cult 45 revolver fired, killing cinematographer Helena Hutchins and wounding director Joel Sousa. Baldwin previously pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. The trial of New Jersey Democratic Senator Bob Menendez concluded today with the defense wrapping up its closing arguments. Daily Wire reporter Amanda Prestajakamo has more. Menendez is facing charges from an alleged bribery scheme where prosecution says the senator sold the power of his office. The prosecution focused their closing arguments on the gold bars and almost $500,000 cash that was found in Menendez's home. The defense closed by arguing that the evidence presented was not reliable and called the case cherry-picked nonsense. The senator has not resigned despite calls from most of his Democrat colleagues. He was previously put on trial for an unrelated corruption charge in 2017, but that case ended in a mistrial. Those are your drive home updates this afternoon.
