Welcome to Prayer Drive. Today's episode will start in just a few moments. But first, let us remind you to keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the steering wheel. When we pray, make sure you keep your eyes open. And by all means, start the Prayer Drive app before you begin your drive. And now, here's your host, C Elide your Bronner, with today's episode. Welcome to Prayer Drive. This is C Elide your Bronner. I'm so happy and excited and delighted to have you join us today with a wonderful day, a beautiful day, a great day. Man, and I'm just happy. I hope you're having a great drive on the way to work school or wherever you may be traveling. Well, today, I want to wrap up John chapter 6. We were just looking at one particular account of the miracle of the multiplication of the fish and loaves that Jesus did there. Some powerful things speak to our lives today. And we have gone through so many different parts of that. And today, I want to kind of conclude, but I want to share the very final part where Jesus himself, he said, this is after everybody had eaten. He multiplied the fish and though everybody had eaten. And he said in verse 12, John 6 verse 12, he says, "When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, gather up the fragments that remain that nothing be lost. Gather up the fragments that remain that nothing be lost." So there were some broken pieces of bread and broken pieces of fish lying around and so forth. And he said, gather them up so that nothing is lost. And that is so powerful because what I glean from that is even the broken pieces of our lives can be used for the glory of God. The broken pieces of our lives can be used. He didn't want anything wasted. So the experiences of our lives are never wasted. No part of our lives are wasted. It can be used. And so he had them to gather up the fragments that nothing would be lost. Nothing would be wasted. So God doesn't want any part of our journey or experience to be wasted. It can all be used for the glory of God. Everything can be used for the glory of God. It can be a blessing to others. And we are able to learn from our experiences. And we can further the rope for someone else as well. And so the broken places, the broken places of our lives are never wasted. Nothing is wasted. The broken pieces are never wasted. Broken parts of our lives are never wasted. My good friend, Dr. Jason Thomas, he shared on this topic and I took notes and I just want to share some of the highlights, some of the points he shared about this same account. He said brokenness creates humility in our heart. So when we are broken, whether we go through some type of failure embarrassment or just some low points in life, it creates humility in our heart. Brokenness also provides you with more to give. You know, if you have one piece of bread and you break it in half, now you can share it with somebody else. So brokenness gives us more to give. Brokenness, he says, also provides the necessary pieces to create a beautiful mosaic. You know, when you look at a beautiful ceramic mosaic or some type of fabric, beautiful colors and all of these different designs that come together to create a beautiful mosaic. But anyway, the broken pieces, God's able to piece them all together to create a beautiful masterpiece that they are eventually workout for our good. And then the next thing he says, you never know which part of your brokenness God will use. So don't despise any part of your life's experiences. You never know which part God will use. And then finally, God is creative with our pieces. God is creative with our pieces. Praise God. God doesn't believe in wasting anything and he's the only one who can maximize what we minimize. We do the gathering, but God does the miracle. Praise God. Man, that's good stuff. I'm gonna have to send my good friend, Dr. Jason Thomas, a note to let him know that I used some of his wonderful, wonderful teaching points in the illustration. That's good stuff. Praise God. Well, he's from the Holy Spirit. It's the gift of God. And I think we all can learn from one another and share for the edifying of the body of Christ. We help one another. So man, I'm just so excited. I love you all. Thank you all for being on prayer drive and being a part of this community. I appreciate you so much. I ask you to share prayer drive with other people.
