Welcome to Prayer Drive. This is C Elide your Bronner, and I'm so happy and excited and delighted to have you join us today. What a wonderful day. A beautiful day. Just a wonderful great day. And I pray you're having a wonderful drive on the way to work school or wherever you may be traveling. Well, I want to share something today in the book of Psalms, chapter 78. I just read a few verses here. Verse 70 says, "He chose David, also his servant, and took him from the sheep foals." Verse 71, "From following the youths, great with young, he brought him to feed Jacob, his people, and Israel, his inheritance." And verse 72, "So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands." And so this just lets us see a little glimpse into God choosing David to be king over Israel. He chose him to come into a leadership position. And it's very interesting because David was a shepherd and he was taken from being a shepherd and he was made a king. But there were some wonderful leadership qualities that he had. As a shepherd, he had integrity and he had skill. And he sharpened his skills and he always did the right thing. What was honorable, what was correct, what was right, he could be trusted. When no one was looking, he did the right thing. That's integrity. And so he had integrity and he had skill. He constantly sharpened his skills. He was a musician. He played the harp. He had great skill with the slingshot. And so he constantly practiced. He worked on his skills as he had time. He worked on his skills and sharpened them. And his skills made room for him. His integrity made room for him. And those are two things that I glean from this passage that we are to really work on our integrity, where we can be trusted, where we keep our word, where we follow through on things, where we are honest. And we are also to constantly sharpen our skills. We need to sharpen our skills so we can become better. We can also learn new things. We can learn different ways to do things. We can work to sharpen our skills. We can read, we can study, we can practice. And we do these things in order to sharpen our skills. And those are just two great qualities that glean integrity and skill, integrity and skill. So having integrity in our lives and always improving our skills. Those are two things that qualify us for leadership. And they cause us to excel in life. And they also cause us to be able to impact others and influence others when we have integrity and when we have skill. Let's pray. Father, just thank you so much. Thank you for just sharing the truth of your word with us today, Lord, on the importance of having integrity and always sharpening our skills, always improving, always becoming better. We ask you to lead us and guide us, Lord, in those two areas to help us to have more integrity and also help us to sharpen our skills, help us to learn, to grow, to become better. And we just thank you for it, Lord. Thank you for being with us. We thank you for the Holy Spirit in your word. We thank you for the anointing of Jesus as with us and the grace of Jesus with us and all of life. And we just love you and praise you today. Thank you for a wonderful day today.
