Lesson 1317: It Isn't Always 50/50
(upbeat music) - Hello and welcome to Lessons with a King. You're daily sure to make your day in life just a little bit better. Today's lesson, lesson 13, 17, it isn't always 50, 50, pretty much. So, you know, if you had a relationship, we just talked about that. There's a tendency for people to be like, oh, I'm showing up this much and the person is not showing up as much. And that might be the most they can do. Understand that there is no day that you're always 100%, right? So, if all you have is 20% and you are giving that 20%, you are actually giving 100%, right? 'Cause that's all you have to give. So, when you're in a relationship or any, yeah, any kind of relationship, it's important to show up as much as you can and let a person know that, hey, you know, here's where I am today and this is as much as I can give. Can you kind of like feel of the rest? The point is when you're in a relationship, whether it's two, whether it's 20, whether it's whatever, whatever the dynamic is, if you are the one giving more, let a person know, okay, I have enough to give and the person doesn't have to, you know, give me 50%. So, I have 10% today, can you give me 19? Or I have 60% today, I don't need 40, right? The idea is that as a team, whatever it is you're putting in the pot comes from 100. That's how you make a relationship last for years and years and years. Prompt 1317, how do I handle it when I have to give more? It can be difficult, but it's what you have to do.
