(upbeat music) - Hello and welcome to Lessons of the King. You're daily sure to make your day in life just a little bit better. Today's lesson, lesson 1278, embrace non-violent communication. As human beings, things happen and we can get angry and we can express ourselves. But I've learned how powerful non-violent communication is. So they're kind of like, I guess, four steps to it. You observe the facts. Okay, this is actual facts. This is not just feeling, this is what is happening. This happened and this is actual facts. But you can't strong the feelings of like, this happened and it made me feel this way, right? And then, that feeling makes me want to do something. It makes me desire to do something. But before I do this thing, I wanna ask for a specific thing. So someone said something that I encourage you. I'm like, you know, when you said this thing, it made me feel this way. I made me want to pass right in. I mean, you wouldn't say that. But it made me feel upset to, could you say this thing in this way? Or can we just sit down and discuss about this thing? Versus, you know, the person who says you're an asshole, you're an asshole and he keeps escalating, escalating. The key is to escalate the thing so we can get to it, please. We're coming off to have a conversation. Prop 1278. When was the last time I resolved conflict with non-violent communication? That's in 1278. Embrace non-violent communication. I'll see you tomorrow. (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (upbeat music)
