Today is Saturday, August 17th, and this is Pope Spirit's Daily Bible Reading Plan. Today's scripture comes from the Book of John, chapter 16, verse 33. "I have told you all this story so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows, but take heart because I have overcome the world." Our second scripture is Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 10. A final word, "Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power." Now let's apply it. Jesus tells us that we will have trials and sorrows. That's just part of living this side of heaven. Our job is to remember that God is in charge, and Jesus has overcome the world. And that we have been given strength and power through the Holy Spirit.
