5 Sports Update Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Stevie Lamb will continue his holdout for a bigger contract extension as he reportedly believes that the most recent offer was still too low. According to the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys front office and Lamb's representation spoke on the phone on Thursday for the team left for Las Vegas for their second preseason game and offered Lamb slightly under $33 million per season. Another report by NFL Media said that Lamb believed he offered to be too low and that the structure of the contract in terms of cash flow, guarantees and how the deal will be set up on the front half is what's keeping the parties from agreeing. However, if he did sign the deal, the offer would make Lamb the second highest paid receiver in the NFL in terms of annual average salary just behind his 2020 draft classmate in Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
