All right coming up we will get into a couple stories right now. Of course uh this is no big surprise I guess uh that this was coming but is now finally out as the discussion of impeachment of Biden from the uh from the house uh the house side here. Uh they they've started this up. Of course this is on day one of the DNC uh that launching today so we'll we'll get into it that way. We'll talk about that you get the uh the GOP investigation accusing Biden of impeachable conduct and long awaited report. We'll get to that story. But first a combination of a a Alabama story and one that I would I would appeal to the Democrats. I would appeal to Kamala Harris. I would appeal to the Democrats to help out on this because obviously price fixing uh or price um limiting or or price controls is uh a plank of a platform that we're starting to hear for Kamala Harris. This is that populist bench right? Go back in history and look how that's worked before. I mean things that you go all right man that's good. I'm I'm sick of paying so much to the grocery store. So am I but but be careful what you wish for. So the first story here and I'm gonna combine these. This is uh from Michael Bronner a story over at Gilla Hammer News says four Alabama games listed among the most expensive tickets in 2024 college football. It says uh the fans eager enough to see the Alabama Crimson Tide in action during some of the most anticipated matchups of the year are prepared to pay a premium. For stuff this is interesting too you thought it might would fall off with the boar and new coach but it doesn't. According to 24/7 sports four of Alabama Crimson Tide games are among the 20 most expensive tickets for the upcoming football season. First game on the list is Alabama's road match up with Tennessee in Knoxville after losing there two years ago for the first time since 2006 Crimson Tide fans will need to spend an average of three hundred and forty dollars per ticket to see their team in action makes it the ninth most expensive ticket of the season may as child's play compared to trying to go see the stones or something but three hundred and forty dollars of tickets so do the math they're going to take the whole family to see the tide and go up there see the tide uh beat Tennessee. So another highly anticipated games Alabama's home match up against the Georgia Bulldogs rematch of the SEC Championship these are three hundred and two dollars a ticket the eleventh most expensive and the iron bowl says is expected first iron bowl following it savings eight and ten years on the list average price for the iron bowl 246 dollars a ticket and then Alabama's road game against Wisconsin the first under Kaitlyn de Boer is going to be two hundred and forty dollars a ticket now this is out of control right regular let me use my political regular hard work in Americans just cannot afford the price of tickets to see Alabama's Crimson Tide and Dixie's football pride Crimson Tide Crimson Tide they can't go do this what is what are the Democrats going to do for us here Democrats if you want something that's going to help you win you're going to roll something out there at the DNC starting today let's talk about let's talk about putting some federal control because that's what we should do it's too expensive to go to a college football game therefore I think government needs to come fix that for me it's gonna be a good idea what should the price be limited to should we limit limit that price to um ten dollars what what should the price be as they roll out at the DNC they're going to say well you know the price of this is too high and the rents are too high and these things are too high what about college football tickets speaking of which I mentioned this to uh at the end of Jeff's show speaking of the DNC story from Laniep uh it's up a couple other places but this one called Hamrick over Laniep said district two congressional candidate Shamori figures who's going to be on this show next month I think September 3rd so district two congressional candidates Shamori figures will speak at the fourth and final night of the DNC in Chicago ahead of presumptive presidential nominee and current vice president Kamala Harris according to the statement from his campaign now if you don't think they're going to the mattresses on this one the democrats aren't going to the mattresses in AL2 if you were thinking now you know this Dobson's probably got it I can just stay at the house and do whatever or just you know not not leave work early or come in late whatever if you don't if that does not tell you that paragraph right there tells you everything you need to know and of course you will hear the ads uh you know coming in from the candidates you'll hear the ads from the packs over the next few months on this station and elsewhere but they have Shamori figures speaking on the fourth and final night of the DNC as before I mean before the big you know the big ta-da hey it's Kamala Harris is the nominee right which won't get to that the coup stories over the weekend even the New York Times op-eds are saying hey this was a coup um this came back from figures and statements that I'm honored to be chosen to speak on behalf of Alabama and the voters of district two now is the time to energize our party educate and organize our communities and encourage people to vote on November 5th and quote so this is a big deal it's not just that he's going to be a speaker at the DNC it's on the big night these can be so they are you know we talk about it and sounds sometimes it's uh you know sounds like just political rhetoric this um uh this election is so important for control of congress AL2 is in play and does that tell you anything that the DNC the national party now it may just happen to blend with the story we talked about the end of last week with john sharp that in this battle about placing delegates at the DNC between the national democrat party and the Alabama democrats you have even caroling dubson has said hey you ought to let the Alabama people do it uh shmari figures has been mum on that it's not gone against because I thought the easier political play right would be like hey I think my Alabama delegation people should choose who goes not the national party but maybe just maybe he already knew that he was going to be uh heading to the heading to night four at the DNC so I think that's uh I think it's significant speaking away it's uh scroll for rain texting in here uh you know the media will barely cover the protests against the DNC and they will claim they are trump supporters we'll watch this I you know the media when we'll see what they say and then we can analyze if it's true or not speaking of which though when they show up there I don't know if you're a protester or you have to be going into the DNC you saw this the planned parenthood is going to be offering free abortions and vasectomies at the DNC now is it going to be like I was wondering this when I saw the headline is it going to be like the one there's the blood mobiles or something like that you pull up and people hop in and so the story from Fox News says planned parenthood is offering more than a free t-shirt or a sticker at the democrat national convention uh planned parenthood great rivers of St. Louis announced it on a ex post that a boss is heading to the DNC in Chicago August 19th through 20th to offer free services a bus I guess they're going to do this aboard a bus the uh the the tweet here or the x the post on x from from planned parenthood said here we come let's just think about this here we come chicago our mobile health clinic will be in the west loop with the chai abortion fund and the wiener circle this is their words august 19th through 20th providing free vasectomies and medication abortion EC will also be available for free without an appointment so the bus is going to pull up and people are just going to come in and I get snipped and I think about this so this is the push right that they want to abort and then uh then put vasectomies on people at the DNC this should be the best play for conservatives in this country right what was the old uh remember the old woody gothary right remember woody gothary remember what the song from woody gothary till we outnumber them or m uh from from woody gothary if you hadn't heard it his old folk song woody gothary god uh the idea would be you know you have more people that would vote a certain way to you outnumber the people you want to you beat but in this case democrats are lining their folks out for abortions and vasectomies right there the abortion bus is going to show up I guess it's going to pull out front of the DNC at what we'll see if there's video of that but I thought that was interesting all right come back we'll talk more about the uh op-ed marine doubt and I know Dan and Dalton talked about this morning uh coming out and saying this was a coup pushing by now we can talk about it I think it's interesting to hear it coming from bearing down but I don't know that's going to check it change anything they're not going to you know tonight on night one at the DNC okay we got it wrong and now failures of price controls and what it does to the market but if we're going to do this how about we because the story out of out of the top what is it top 10 I think or top 15 whatever most expensive uh college football games for the year Alabama has four match-ups in there how about you do you roll out and say listen do here is we're going to cap the price of of tickets for Alabama games and do that on night we're just all college football right Bob says what about MLB and NFL what about your deer hunting leases what about alcoholic beverages in the bar I can go on non where does it stop well we would all say oh we'd like limits on those things right really what does it do if you've limited I mean look look in the past history we can talk about this later on the show all right uh let's see this unnamed texture said I would love Biden to go off speech and say what he thinks about the same the same whole situation I don't know Toothless Balmer Bammer Kamala's biggest liability is her phoniness it's a pretty big one uh let's see yeah super mom says I think it's abortion pill it is yeah in the sectomies a bus for sectomies is wild they're going to roll it yet Jim B uh on the text line says ouch but they're going to they're going to roll in here in front of the DNC with the not like taking blood collection right or something like that help out if we're going to be snipping and giving you the uh abortion pill right there but hey it maybe you got long term it uh leads to uh you know fewer fewer democrats Jason says the bus is now boarding it's I don't know where they've named it I don't know if it's the abortion bus or the the snippet bus or something like that um Jason goes on say doesn't the abortion vasectomy bus at the DNC just confirmed what JD Vance said about the left being anti-family uh named text are given that there's a medical procedure referred to as a DNC yes uh this very funny DNC uh the democrats supporting abortion it's no surprise uh king of all our named textures said they need to get those elective medical procedures at the DNC quick there'll be too busy standing in the food lines that their candidate wins this textures has murdering babies is wrong but I ain't got no problem with them getting spayed and neutered yeah well would you do it in a bus it's not the vasectomy thing would you go to the bus say I guess you know we'll get here with the diesel generator running there in the background and you know are they supposed to walk it just walk away from that all right go go about your go about your uh way sir or bam or however people are identifying um let's see uh what Ricky says democrats are getting paid to rally in Chicago from George Soros the billionaire okay um I'm waiting I'm waiting to get an opportunity to be like a professional uh protester I mean if the money I don't know how good is the money yeah this one uh this unnamed texture yes I've heard this quote many times said Sean Democrats are not made in the bedroom they're made in the classroom oh that's from outfit uh thank you and I've heard that uh a lot here let's see and uh David says David Preston says you're mistaken about the reduction of future democrat voters with a portion of vasectomies though just replace those voters with illegal immigrants so what is that the plan let's see we'll we'll go through this and uh yeah some more comments coming in we'll we'll get these before we come back uh from the news here more coming in that I can keep up with all right the the investigation this story from Politico about four hours ago uh said house GOP investigators accused Biden of impeachable conduct and long-awaited report the 291 page report was released today by the oversight judiciary and ways and means committee comes roughly eight months after republicans formalizer impeachment inquiry against the president nice timing guys you did notice he's not going to be there uh they're sweeping investigations largely focused on the business deals the Biden family members have gone on even longer informally starting about the time they took the house majority in 2023 republicans on the committee are accusing Biden of two offenses okay here they go they argued the that meet the bar for an impeachable conduct abuse of power and obstruction they're the same charges that house democrats cited in 2019 impeachment against uh then president double trump an inquiry frequently mentioned in the house GOP report said uh here's a quote from it said the constitution's remedy for president's flagrant abuse of office is clear impeachment by the house of representatives and removal by the senate adding they uh said it's up for evaluation and consideration of appropriate next steps and quote so they come out with the report i don't know if they said they're going to do anything with it further on the story said republicans noted today the inquiry remains ongoing the report marks a soft end for the impeachment effort two leading investigators have said you've got jim jordan on that right let's see if jim will probably be on tv tonight talking about that but i mean what are you going to do with it there any teeth in it you come back with this thing now and i mean i don't know if you notice but body's not going to be there and and speaking of that too the new york times marine doubt op ed and not she's not saying anything that hadn't been said by some other people in the democrat world and a lot of people in the conservative side but she points out that this truly was a coup pushing by now she's okay with it i this is fair enough for she's saying it's okay because this is how democrats can win but to pretend that this was not a coup to house biden she said you're you're incorrect says in here it says um how could biden not have been hurt in the democratic convention went from four days of sitting shiva as james carvel put it to a joyful romp with camel at top the ticket democrat after democrat who had been close to biden before conspiring to push him out had to confess to cable anchors that they had not been able to talk to the president who was sulking in his tent party leaders whitewash the cue uh the coup or nately extolling biden you know you heard this where even after they pushed him out then they said that you know he was the best president ever so james cliburn told cnn that biden had a record that no president of the united states could ever match i might agree with that but just not on the positive side uh polosi remember uh was on sunday morning shows that biden's face should be carved into melt rushmore so it here's the thing we're gonna kick you out but we're gonna say nice things about you afterwards but yeah so it's an interesting op-ed just because it's marine dal doing it doesn't change anything tactically of course not democrat's gonna go and they will uh they will end up saying oh you know it's the people wanted and here it is your candidate it's already been done by the way your candidate come with heroes who's in the bank so um who or not that's the way it goes your thoughts on that you do you care do you care i mean do you care how they arrive i mean it's so much time it's spent in conservative media talking about this they push biden out they push him out aren't we wasting time on that i mean sure i imagine uh double trump's pretty upset that he's not running against biden right uh of a lot of us felt pretty good about a trump win when it was biden the candidate but to sit and just rehash and hash they're not going to go back and say uh you know we're wrong and uh we're gonna we're gonna let biden run so i don't you know it's interesting because you have marine dal and saying that i don't know that it's gonna doesn't change anything let's see uh chris norich b so so we're going to impeach biden and make her a legitimate sitting president that's ludicrous it won't have that's the thing about the chris that's my lament against the republicans here this thing's coming back now there's not enough time not have time for them to get they're not gonna they're just saying okay we did this but we're looking for that i think the quote was like unsure of the next steps democrats weren't unsure of the next steps with trump were they have a right back for mid-day mobile this is mid-day mobile with shawn selvan on fm talk one oh six a a constitutional right to go downtown chicago wait you do okay um let's see uh josh well let's see says uh having free phisectomies why not free hysterectomies too they can't tell me it's too dangerous they're killing babies in the bus next door they're rather doing the medical they're not doing the it's physical procedure so uh you know i'm just just the vasectomy part of it just vasectomy part of it would be of interest here how that's going to be i hope for you they're gonna hopefully they're gonna get uh get that on all right good listen i look up here and uh the man i wanted to talk about talk with about what we just discussed happening in the house it's our congressman jerry carl joining us uh thanks congressman for calling in hey shawn great i'm sorry i was just low calling in i'm a little late i apologize no problem y'all got i what i was talking about here was uh this coming out today that the you know house gop investigators have uh had this impeachment impeachable conduct report out is this mean there's going to be an impeachment congressman or and if so why would it matter he's on his way out well i totally agree with it's all messaging in other words we what they and i have not seen the final report i haven't read it i've seen it i've not read it yet but the final report is basically everything that they have uncovered you know we kept telling everybody to be patient be patient be patient uh at this point i don't want to impeach him if we impeach him or or literally take him out of office we we give kamala time to uh call herself madam president and we don't need that so this is just making a statement it can also be used in the future uh you know that what they've drug trumped through and i don't ever believe two rounds make a right but we kept telling them what you're doing to trump can be done to you once we get out you get out of office well i think it's just a messaging is more than anything okay so because in the story i've read it said i don't have the word right in front of me but they weren't clear on what the next step would be or something like that and i read into it like you're saying that they probably won't go through with impeachment hearing no we really don't have time i'm we got election coming up we've got we've got so much going on we all would love to see them impeached and impeached uh means more than just the house that's going to move on to the senate yep honestly and fail there and yeah it's going to fail there anyway but at least we're releasing a report of uh i think it's thirty seven million dollars that they were able to track down you can correct you on that yes twenty seven yeah in the report i saw that said uh much of the gop investigation today's report focused on business deals and money is received by hunter and jane spiden as well as joe biden's handling of classified documents years long federal investigation into a son investigated for example say they trace twenty seven million dollars in payments to the biden family members and their associates from foreign entities i would love for some aspiring reporter to actually ask that question of of present biden i would you know i'd like that i'd hear like a so would y'all get twenty seven million four so uh i told you three years ago that if we got close enough all who is going to say is he's got dimension you can't prosecute a a person with dementia so and that's kind of what they did in that report that's what they did in the report on the classified documents right i mean they said hey yeah this guy's probably is guilty but nobody's going to you know no jury or don't paraphrase and no jury's going to convict a man at this level or something of that effect but i get i guarantee you i guarantee you that he is he will he will forgive his brother and his son all the way out the door and that takes care of everything and that impurities me as an american so you these are the things we have to work with every day so that's the idea to keep him in he stays in and as he goes out because there's no handles on him at that point he's going to he's going to pardon those two sure sure he will as no doubt my money will look at this though could this have i don't know i mean could this have happened more quickly yet the impeachment report could have happened you know took a long time could it could have been done while he was still presumed to be the the candidate for the cycle before the the handover and the coup yes i think the republicans are just as dramatic as the the democrats these days when they played it up they they've raised money off of it that done everything they need to do now's a good time with uh Kamala's numbers coming up which we predicted that that's like again this week uh when you're coming up it's just yes just a good time to to serve it and and uh try to get uh some mileage off of it now look at this text from Jason kind of similar question i was going to ask you Jason said is mr karl out campaigning for caroline dobson and does he uh does he believe she's competitive because i want to throw into the mix story out that uh shmari figures will be speaking on night four at the dnc i mean this is prime prime time it seems like the national democrats are rallying their forces here for AL2 big time well no one quite understands how important this district is down here for the democrats and the republicans so when i split us up i mean the gulf coast is uh we don't need to get relive all of that but when they split it up now the democrats have got a shot at it am i working for yes i am every advance she asked me to come to i'm there i'm i'm raising money for i'm doing everything i can do uh everything i'm asked to do i'm i'm there can she win of course she can but you can't win unless we get the vote out we have to get the vote out in rural Alabama you know montgomery south we have to get all that vote out mobile and montgomery and we we can win this and of course it goes over to almost uh phoenix city i believe uh not exactly how it's like a horseshoe i believe but anyway we we've got to get the vote out that's one thing people got to understand we want to complain all the people calling in complain i wished i really knew how many of them actually voted yeah because if you didn't vote you got no reason to complain you got what you asked for yes in but yeah what are the you're doing your part but nationally because i mean i can i can see exactly what the national democrat party is doing uh with i mean putting some free figures on stage on night four what what is the yeah china the reason it's so important to the national party uh the national democrat party if they lose this seat to dobsom and we go back to court in february the court's going to say no wait a minute we drew this so you'd have a chance and you lost so this redrawing probably was not fair and they'll go back they'll go back and redraw it again that's what everybody's anticipating i don't i'll be perfectly honest with you i don't anticipate making any changes but does caroline have a chance to win of course she does there's no doubt in my mind and figures being up there on national stage how many democrats in south alabama are going to really sit in front of their tv and watch that no but i but it shows me that the money i mean where i knew the money was coming in national money coming into a l2 but this cements it further to me yeah well the the money always helps but touching the people and getting the vote turn out that that's the most important thing shawl and that's what people get to understand election day i don't care if you got to walk to a snowstorm rainstorm i don't care what you have to do get out in vote get your family out in vote make sure people vote we can win it we can win everything if we can just get the republican base out the vote we're a whole lot lazier voting than democrat party now congressman i always thought it was the opposite the republicans are pretty reliable as voters go maybe not as many but democrats had numbers but didn't have the reliability look at the primary look at the primary and the democrat primary versus the republican primary oh yeah you're right those numbers in this specific instance were very close within 100 or so right or a couple hundred yeah but i did the democrats have always got a way to turn out and vote you know some say you know it's uh you know they they bust them in they do this they do that well by george i'm in the mood let's start busting our own end you know you fight fire with fire if it's legal let's do it well and and also the the legal part of it there's back home that secretary state you know uh west allen had that story come out last week we discussed it a good bit of a three thousand some uh i don't three over three thousand people that are legal that you keep people keep throwing the story out and say illegal immigrants voting they're legal yeah they're legally in the country green card holders workpiece of those things but have found themselves on the federal election voter rolls now that's concerning that's real that's not you know when y'all are working with the save act remember we talked about that all the pushback y'all got work in the save act and and the democrats saying well this is uh nobody does this they're just messaging there's nothing to this what looks like even here in Alabama over three thousand people are signed up who are not legal to vote yeah and you look at Arizona California some of those states where you got a heavy heavy uh influxation of of uh of illegal immigrants that are coming in there there's no telling how much the numbers have thrown off i wished every state would focus on cleaning their rolls up the last thing i want to see is a federal government take over our elections you know we we mess things up the federal government does and it's it's it's was never designed to be that way it doesn't need to be that way and the states have got to literally clean their rolls up and i think i think where sallen has done a great job i think john maryla head of him did a great job and you just keep checking and keep cleaning congressman uh four wrap up to a couple of the things uh looking at the uh planks of the platform i guess to be laid out by by cobbler Harris uh at the dnc if she's come out with some of the things just copying what trump had talked about with the tip thing and i actually have a problem with both parties on that you know you can't pick and choose what tax law but that's a but rolling out this idea that and you and i are both business people that price controls i mean nixon tried this countries have tried this and absolutely have failed and here's going to be her from the left side of populism rah rah rah price controls she if you think about it if you a hamburger when you buy a hamburger let's just say it's ten dollars that ten dollar hamburger traces it touches many many hands before it winds up on a plate in front of you if you're going to fix that hamburger at ten dollars that means everyone before that has touched that whether it's a slaughterhouse whether it's a shipping company no one can raise their prices so it doesn't work it's socialism it's what it is and you're going to have bread line it's it's a hundred percent socialism it is it is everything everything is based on fuel yes all of our inflation is based on fuel costs when we can get fuel back down to a buck 50 a gallon you'll see everything else start start slowing up and i'll tell you one thing that really bugs me on this one everybody says oh we're our inflation is down three percent well it's already been jacked up 20 percent that's three percent on top of the 20 percent so there's no backing up so you know people need to sell well he's got it under control what do you mean he's got it under control you're paying 23 percent more this month than you did a year ago well i mean we've done that since we made money so easy out there you know when they talk about uh well we're going to reduce this budget or this budget is going to be neutral that's at a post-covid level which is you know a big departure from where it was pre-covid so but yeah it drives it also i mean the markets always find a way you look at these socialist and communist countries where they did this people with money found a way to get things they wanted with the black market you know if you you talking about that hamburger talking about the hamburger and those prices well guess what instead of me doing things the way you're supposed to do it people are just going to show up at the farm with me and i will sell them i'm gonna sell them cows directly it's going to be on cash and uh you know it'll be all under the table that and so those people don't get to meet the other people will not get anything because there won't be there won't be any product there because of the price fixing okay take take the middle guy out of the picture and and that's when the economy starts collapsing so i heard her what she i said and watched and hung on every word she said when she got through i looked at my life i said oh my god we're in trouble we're in trouble all i saw a soviet union up there ranting and raving so it's scary to think that that we can freely talk that way in this country because you know i i i built a an entire career on capitalism i mean i'm i'm the guy that should have never made it and and i'm okay with that but i made it because i don't work somebody else but you can't do it the way she's talking about doing you start fixing prices you start seeing doctors going well you know maybe i don't want to practice medicine because i can only get 30 dollars a visit i'll go do something else you'll see people that are very smart that are very good at what they do go and find a different profession they have to i got a friend of mine for me just real quick friend of mine for me just he told me one time he trained is an obgyoan over egypt and there's their system is set up that way he was a street sweeper with a degree in obgyoan so he come to america went through all the proper stuff and now he's a respiratory therapist here and he's living the american dream but if you don't think it can happen in this world folks it can happen and every vote counts we've got that's the only only shield we've got is the voting pattern of this country so please folks get out and vote we need to say this district too wondering where y'all's pushback was on that but another one here these populist ideas where you're going to have government not clear the way for you but settle scores and make things better for you right as a regulatory group now i believe in in breaking up monopolies and cartels i think that's a good place for government to be in in a capitalist system and we have many of them of that are out there in colluding and have too much control in washington and get laws written to benefit their company specifically or what their business is but when you move to going okay we're not i mean wouldn't be nice if they said hey we're just going to make sure at first that these these companies aren't colluding which by the way if this price cap plan that the hares campaign is talking about went through the companies would have to show their pricing models like during their quarterly reports which would just let them all fix it fix prices as there'd be no competition they'd know what the other people are going to sell it for so they sell it for just that it's not going to go down below whatever the whatever the cap would be on eggs or milk or whatever tickets to the alabama football games uh wherever they would put those it would never have a chance of coming down below that so the populism of i get it i don't live in a ivory tower i get it i see you know i just drive by dollar general and thirty five bucks comes out of my pockets just driving by the place i get it but you start saying government fix this for me and and trump did some of there's that conservative populism now they're doing it from the left and this populism has fixed this problem for me governor uh government come fix it for me okay so in doing that show me the model where that has worked show me it when a republican Richard Nixon did it how'd that work i there are things you could do to break up monopolies force competition those things are a good place for government for government for a bureaucrat in washington to sit down and decide what the price of filling the blank is you think that's a great idea you think it's not just theory just read up the it does not work and it is just a sugar high for a campaign that has nothing much else to talk about other than trump is bad right now so what they're going to do for you is they're gonna they're gonna fix your grocery bill you know what you're on grocery bill is going to be a lot lower because the stuff won't be there coming back out right over two so
