A really excellent, really affordable, really available Sauvignon Blanc
welcome back to Adventures of a Black Belt Somalier. I'm virtually here in the vineyards in Sanser today to tell you about a really, really excellent California Sauvignon Book. It's the 2022 Joel Gott. It's in wine enthusiast magazine's list of the top value wines in the world, and this year, and it's actually number one of the lists. So in their opinion, it is the single best value wine in the world, this year. I don't know about that, but it's really, really great. It's fantastic. You should be able to find it pretty easily for around $12 or $13 bottle. It is exactly what you want from Sauvignon Blanc. It's fresh, it's crisp, it's dry, high acid, moderate alcohol. Well, it's moderate these days, 13.9% alcohol, you know, green apple, green pears, bright acidity, just fantastic wines to serve pretty cold on the patio and warm weather. It's archetypal, excellent California Sauvignon Blanc, but a little bit more acidic than a lot of California Sauvignon Blanc's I find very appealing. I don't know that it's the best value in the world, but it's a really, really excellent wine, and it's really affordable, and it is really available, which that is a great combination. They gave it 91 points. I would say it's, you know, close to that, I'd probably give it 89 points, but 89 points for a $13 California Sauvignon Blanc. It's very high rating in my book. I'd serve it with a, you know, if you can find some chever or some other really good goat cheese and coat it in some Paco breadcrumbs and Bryant. So today I'd serve it on a green salad, you know, made with some strawberries and a lemony vinaigrette. It will be just a fantastic light summary lunch. Anyway, 2022 Joel got Sauvignon Blanc. It is a killer, killer wine, better, very affordable price, which is, you know, what everybody's looking for, right? I know I am.
