A really excellent 3L Bag in the Box red
Welcome back to adventures of a black belt sommelier along with my theme of really excellent very affordable wines. I'm going to add a really excellent a very affordable three liter bag in the box red that you should be looking out for. I'd love to show you the product but with this green screen behind me it just shows up as empty space. So I'll just tell you, it's called Vinkovaleo, V-I-N-C-H-O-V-A-L-V-H-E-L-I-O, barbera bimonte latane. So it's barbera from Padement, that's Padement behind me. It's an amazing wine, it's actually tastes like barbera. Now if you don't know what barbera tastes like, it kind of tastes like an Italian take on Pinot Noir, it's drier and has more minerality and acidity than most California Pinot Noir. But if you wanted to hypothesize, Pinot Noir, barbera kind of tastes like that, it has red fruit aromas like Pinot Noir and in a good example it has bright acidity to balance the fruit and some minerality, and in this case it has all that, it's a terrific wine. It has also has aromas of rose petals which are typical of barbera and nebiola. And it's got a nice feel in your mouth, it's medium body, it's dry, it's got a nice finish, it's kind of an excellent wine and it should cost about $30 for a three liter bag in the box, so that's the equivalent of $7.50 per bottle and it way over delivers at that price. Fix yourself some spaghetti bolognese for yourself or decant yourself a glass of this, it'll be absolutely fabulous, it's just a fantastic wine. And it combines the convenience of the bag in the box format with the quality of this wine, kind of like the Pete Frog I talked about yesterday, just because you want the convenience of the bag in the box format does not mean you have to settle for some much less quality wines like bota box and black box and the like. There are really excellent wines out there that come in this format, this is one of them, the Vincovaleo, barbera piumonte, latane, that's L-E-T-A-N-E. And in this case, it's even vintage, it even has a vintage, it's the 2022, which is kind of surprising for bag in the box wine.
