She Was Convinced
There was no power in the clothing, no magic, and a certain piece of cloth. Instead, the power was in Jesus, and a woman dealing with a troubling medical condition reached out to that power in faith. She said to herself, "If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole," Matthew 9-21. She came to Jesus convinced that he could heal her. That's faith. She didn't doubt but believe that Jesus was able to do for her what no doctor had ever been able to do. When you have a need, when you're praying a prayer and you see no earthly way forward, faith is believing God is able because he says he's able. He promises to heal, to forgive, to grant wisdom, to lead you in the way you should go. And when you claim those promises, believing God will keep his promises, you are exercising faith.
