G'day, friends, it's Blista Guy and this is episode 1351 of Walk to Work a Mobile Hearthstone podcast that I save for the 27th of August. I think so. It's type all people CSI. No, wait, that's the wrong one, that's the wrong one. Anyway, yes, type all people CSI use. I know that there are a lot of CSI TV shows out there and you might be thinking that I've watched all of them to figure out how to do this. No, I've not watched any of them. Although, I do know that's not the right theme song. Anyway, yes. Type all people. There's been a lot of crimes going on in standard and if I'm not mistaken, type all people has been at a lot of them. So we're going to investigate that today and I'm going to have a look at my notes because I have some notes. I don't have them written because apparently I had the YouTube app open so I could, oh, anyway, silly things. No, that's what I should do first, right? I should do a patron thank you because I have the app open and I can remember it there. Here we are. So today we are thinking swarm tides and the rest of the patrons here at patreon.com/blisticeguy. Thank you for all the support. Oh, the Jeep trying to run me over. I mean, look, it's an uphill. They're coming up a steep hill. So they do have to be accelerating quite a bit, but it kind of makes them look like they were like, I've got to squish that guy because why not? Another crime scene. Whoo. Anyway, type all people CSI or is it CSI type? I can't remember which way around I did it. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. I have notes. Okay, so type all people. What is it? It's an innocuous little two, one mana, two. It's the two attack, two one for one. One mana, two one, naga, right? And if you've played three spells while holding this, battle cries, discover one of them. It seems fine, right? Seems kind of reminiscent of naga school teacher. Is that what it was called? I was like suddenly realized I don't remember what it was called. I do remember what the other card I'm about to refer to is come out of savara. But naga school teacher was a four mana, five four and then they nerfed it to a four four. It might be back to a five four, but I doubt it. I don't know. Nobody really plays it in wild, but it was a four mana, something for minion from voice to the sunken city. It was a battle cry, discover a spell and get a one one nagling that will play it, which is pretty cool. And the fun part of that was that it was a spell that cost one to three, right? So you could get a three mana spell and then be playing it for one mana, which is kind of neat. It's fun when you're playing it as a mage and you discover a secret and you're like, ha ha, the nagling played a secret. What? What's it? Could be it? Oh, it says what it is on the nagling. Okay, well, you know what it is, but it's there. Anyway, school teacher, this seems very reminiscent of that because it's a nagling thing. It's the little naga, the time poor people, but it's more like commander savara, which is a legendary mage minion, I think from sunken city as well, which was a four mana, three five. And if you played three spells while holding it, battle cry, get copies of all three. Now, there were mage decks that liked playing this and still are, I guess, really, like questline, not questline, just quest mage. I think even hero power mage likes to look because you know, duplicate your wildfires, but we're talking pretty fringe stuff in wild in general. They like to play that. It was a powerful card, but the thing with savara is you'd be like, I don't really have the hand size to be able to do this. I'm just going to end up with too many cards, which is a fun problem to have. And so when we saw tide pool people, this little nagling that does this commander savara thing, but only gives you one of the cards, well, I mean, not getting all three cards is not as powerful, but discovering one of them is like, you just get the best one. The best one's fine, especially for one mana. And that's a heck of a discount on the four that commander savara was doing. So neutral, so everyone can play it. Kind of excited by that. But since, I mean, and I remember during reveal season, I was pretty excited to see what, I keep calling it nagling. I'm pretty excited to see what tide pool people was going to do, right? But, you know, next thing you know, we've got sea breeze chalice is flying left and right out of concierge druid, right? They're playing a lot of sea breeze chalices. And you might be thinking, well, that doesn't add up to very much damage. It's got two damage per drink. So yeah, you get some spell damage in there. You got plus three spell damage, like, you know, kind of like how we were doing with quest line mates last week. What an epic finish that was against the warrior. Oh my goodness. I keep thinking about that. Like, wow, that was so cool. It's the last game I've played with that deck since then. I should maybe try and play some more. I think I have a quest to play mage. I mean, it's just anyway, anyway, sea breeze chalice, you can't do much, right? You get a spell damage going. Maybe each sea breeze chalice, you know, all three drinks can do up to about 15 damage. That's a fair amount. That's not too much. Look who it is at the scene of the crime. Type all pupils, just giving you a fresh, full sea breeze chalice. There it is. There's the lethal and, you know, looking at today's deck, we're probably going to try and do that again. I know as the expansion launched, I did a fair amount of that. I'm not going to lie. I always see breeze chalice thing. And of course, I've been doing it in wild as well. I think sea breeze chalice is the drink I've played the most, which is funny, right? Because, you know, I thought you were a druid mane. Yes, I've been playing sea breeze chalice in druid, but also mage. I mean, in World of Warcraft itself, I'm definitely a mage mane. I've talked about this before. I'll probably talk about it again. I mean, there's a new wild expansion. I haven't tried it. I know a lot of other people like it. I will at some point, you know, all in good time. But the first class I played in wild was mage. I've tried many other classes. Some of them I've enjoyed. None of them I've enjoyed as much as mage. It's just, I know it's that formative experience, and this is what feels right to me. I don't have the same experience with Hearthstone. I play all the different classes. It's just a different kind of game, but with World of Warcraft, there's just so much going on, so much information. I couldn't possibly hope to learn other classes. Whenever I play it now, I just play mage, and I feel happy about that. Anyway, sea breeze chalice, scene of the crime, type or pupil. But you know what else? We've seen it. Like we talked about it last week. There's a new Sonya Rogue deck, but any kind of Rogue deck, like even excavate Rogue, we're starting to play it as well, because of why not. Type or pupil just at the scene of the crime again. Repeating all those spells, you didn't want them to repeat. It's like, well, like, especially when, like, you get your, you're, as you can say, unhinged. No. You get your excavate scorpion going with the, as right, scorpion going as a Rogue. Ah, it's got a bunch of huge spells to get more of those. Excellent. I mean, they're probably full price by the time of year. But, like, type or pupil at the scene of the crime, easily just doing stuff. But in Sonya Rogue, in particular, ooh, there we go. Amulet of warding out of the grifter again and again, scene of the crime, type or pupil. Overhealed Priest. Now, we've not played this much on the podcast. I have played a few games of this in casual, just to get a feel of it. I think I was going to play it in the podcast. Maybe I did play it on the podcast. No, I don't think I did. I think I played, like, Dragon Priest or something. Anyway, overhealed Priest is a real thing right now. It's quite a good deck. They play a lot of healing spells. They play a lot of minions that like to be healed, whether you're drawing cards or dealing damage to the enemy board. There are times when I'm like, this is a big board. How on earth is the priest going to deal with this? Ah, injured hauler. I don't think, oh, you've healed it full. Okay, well, they're too damaged by a board. They're okay. You did it again. My board's pretty big. Oh, no. You've healed it again. Okay, you've just done like eight damage to my board this term with it. I'm not impressed or I kind of am impressed. But, ah, that how do they get so many healing spells over and over? Type or pupil, scene of the crime. We've seen it again. All right, insanity wall, one of the best decks in standard right now. I haven't played it recently myself. I've faced it plenty of times. I've actually faced it a lot. And I would say some of the decisions I've been making about what to play and when to play it, I probably based on the fact that there's insanity wallock everywhere. And it's just really good. That's a deck that doesn't have a great number of spells in it. So you'd think maybe there's not going to be any type or pupil, but what spells it does have? The what's it encroaching insanity? Both players take two fatigue and then and then crescendo, scene of the crime. Type or pupil. Crescendo, a second type. Boom. Roasted goes the opponent and maybe you as well, but also like got him evolved shaman even. Like type or pupils, just good enough that you just throw it in there. He's got a few spells. Sure, we'll play. We'll just get some more. Easy. Scene of the crime. Type or pupil. Odin Warrior is doing it. Like surely it can't generate enough armor and standard for it to be a real problem. Yeah, scene of the crime. Type or pupil. But lastly, of course, Razzle Dazzle. Well, shaman probably because you're playing since failed there, but also Razzle Dazzle Death Knight. Now this is the biggest bug bear of the model of this big scene of the crime these days. When we started doing Razzle Dazzle Death Knight, it was rainbow, right? People were like, "I love a rainbow scene." In fact, I lost 2-1 a rainbow Razzle Dazzle Death Knight. I mean, look, it's not surprising. I've been playing a Hunter deck in standard of all things, and I almost played it today. And I'm almost going to play it today, except that I said I'd play a different deck, because Hunter's not the top-less things we haven't played. But I've been playing so much of this Hunter deck. I just keep wanting to cue again. It's an egg deck, mystery egg, all that kind of stuff. So much fun. Anyway, it's got like a bunch of my reveal cards in it. I was almost going to talk about reveal cards today in this episode, but then I was like, whoops, scene of the crime CSI. We've got Type 4 pupil on the shopping block. We're going to move. Anyway, Razzle Dazzle shaman. No, shaman. We're not shaman. I mean, yes, it's good, but it's probably good there, too, scene of the crime, et cetera, et cetera. But the Razzle Dazzle Death Knight, the version that I took to legend last month, this month, we're still in August, this month, that is slowly becoming one of the better decks or best decks in standard, as the frost frost unholy Death Knight. Now, the thing that the deck is running now that I don't think I was at the time at Type 4 pupil. But of course, we're going to be playing a bunch of spells. Type 4 people seems fine, but the real thing here is that it's cold feet, cold case. Cold case. Is that what it's called? I think it is what it's called. I really probably should have looked it up, right? But like, it's the Death Knight/Peladin spell, Tumana. Enemy minions cost five more next turn. Seems innocuous, right? Except last night, I lost a game, because, you know, I was already, it seems you're trying to turn six with the egg, Hunter. Like, you're just doing these absurdly huge swing turns, where you're just completely wiping the board and healing to form all that stuff. Fun stuff, except when your opponent goes, cold case, turn four, cold case, turn five, cold case, turn six, cold case, turn seven. Now, look, there's a lot of Type 4 pupils there. There's a lot of, like, let's draw, but it still felt terrible to be just locked out of doing what I was doing for many turns in a row. Scene of the crime, Type 4 pupil. Just, ugh. Is it cold, cold case? I don't remember. But either way, Type 4 pupil is a sweet little card, lovely little card, so much fun. A lot of people are enjoying playing it in a lot of different decks. As you can see by the various scenes of the crime that we've been looking at today, there's just so many different ways you can play Type 4 pupil that are, I guess, people are enjoying. But is it too good? I kind of think maybe it is. I'm not entirely sure what the best fix for this is. I saw Zeddi tweeting that it should be nerfed. And he posted a picture of a 1-1 Type 4 pupil. Yeah, no, that would be missing the point. That wouldn't work at all, really. Like, you know, clearly Sonya likes that Type 4 pupil is one mana. And so maybe the fix is just making it two mana. Make it bigger if you like. I don't really care. But, like, something probably should be done about Type 4 pupil, which is a shame, because it's exactly the kind of card I love to play. That doesn't make me some criminal mastermind, but it is what it is. And I think Time's Up. Type 4 pupil. Sunglasses on. Dude, is that the theme song? That's the CSI Miami? I can't remember. I couldn't bring it up on YouTube. I was deadly scared when I pushed play on YouTube. It was just going to play an ad at the instant. Anyway, we're going to play some Hearthstone this morning. We're going to play Concierge Rude. One of the early frontrunners for Broken Deck coming out of perils and paradise. It was in the reveals. What do they call theorycraft stream? People were playing it like, "Whoa, this seems really good." And then they're like, "It's not very good." And then people figured out how to play it and make it. And they're like, "It's very good again." And it was very good. And I think I got legend with it last month. It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed playing Concierge Rude a lot. Then, of course, they nerfed Concierge to 4 mana. And I remember at the time going, "Hmm, yeah." Hmm, I do find it on some of the turns on which I win the game. Let's just turn the volume up a little and open the game. Now, it's already open. We need to close it, reopen it, so we can hear half. Also, health update. No blood test results back. Still short on breath. Booked in to go see the GP again tomorrow. Hopefully, the blood test will be back by the other way. So, I guess she's going to be like, "I don't know." But I'm guessing we're getting close to, let's just refer you to some kind of lung health specialist. I don't know. This is a night, but there's always room for another one. The last couple of nights, I have to say. I keep staying it later and later, just so I can play more games of this egg hunter deck. It's so much fun. Like, where was I? I came in about 3,000 leads, and I fell to 4 or 5,000 legend playing, like, Wheel of Death, Warlock, amongst other things. I climbed with Hunter back to 3,000 and fell to 5,000 and back to like 4,000. I don't know where I am, but like, it's just been a lot of fun playing stick. Anyway, we've been placing Concierge to Rude. It's apparently still good, and I do like this deck. And I think, let's see if we can catch time for people at the scene of the crime. Well, apparently, I have, what's this? Some kind of, oh, reward strike. I've got a coin. Level 90 on the reward strike. Very nice. Get some gold in the door as well. I must have completed the quest last night and just not noticed because I was busy playing Hearthstone, because it's fun. It's fun. I was having a lot of fun. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. It's quite unusual for me to have played as many games at legend as I have this one. I don't know. It's not a twist, I guess. Anyway, where are we? Concierge to Rude. Let's go. So, long and short of it is, we would like to ramp early if we can. But mostly, we would just like to draw cards. We would like to set up a situation where we have multiple go with the flow and/or Chia Drake and/or Magical Dollhouse and a Concierge. Then we'll give stuff a Clux spell damage, and we'll just play a whole bunch of Seabreeze Chalices. There's the back button gone. Seabreeze Chalices and the type of view to replay the Seabreeze Chalices. And hopefully, our opponent will die. A concierge to Rude killed me on turn five last night. No, no. They play five on turn five, and then concierge me down to like eight the following turns. But I also did. We have an opening hand. We have an innovator, and we have the coin. We have a take to the skies, and we have a desertness matron, and we have a sleep under the stars. It's kind of a thing that a type of people don't worry will do, right? Our opponent is Wallach. We need a fast start. We need a fast start. This is insanity Wallach, so I think we get really sleep under the stars. I think turn two, we could coin out take to the skies, turn three. Hopefully, we're playing a splish splash. Well, turn four, the desertness matron that we keep, and whatever other dragon. I think that's the kind of thing we want to keep. So, the innovator takes the skies and the desertness matron. Usually, we're hard mulligan splish splash. Well, it looks like they get card number three only. Hard mulliganing for splish splash. Well, but like, we just want to get a good start, and I think, as I described, it'll work very well. The kind we got back in the mulligan is a gift-readwell, so lucky us. Wallach is the first turn, though. Let's see how they handle it. The board strategy, cotton, something, something. A miracle salesman on turn one. All right, we're just drawing Mr. Vista. I mean, it's a fine card, but we're probably just jamming out the turn after we play a bunch of dragons and just hoping to go. So, gift-readwell. It's a three, two on turn one. They will probably trade the miracle salesman to it, but maybe they won't. They probably go face, and then maybe they play a baritone in, but I get to trade into that. It seems unlikely, I guess. But that's fine. Whatever happens, I don't expect my gift-readwell to live forever. There's a baritone in, and I do expect my gift-readwell will save me a lot of damage. Yep, they traded the miracle salesman to take the baritone in, fine by me. Here we are on turn two. With coin innovate, we've just drawn a swipe. I think the way we win this is we get some spell damage, and we play a swipe to clear an entire conductor board. So, we're clearly not swiping just the baritone in here. So, clearly it's coin, take to the skies. We've got a split splash well and a cheer-drake. Fantastic. The next turn, we can play the split splash well that takes us from three up to five mana. What's interesting here is that we can play split splash well, innovate. It does it in this matron. But then with the next matron, the first is mana christmas. There's a second baritone in it, but first they play, they trade this nickel, and then they play the four-four baritone in it. Okay, we're drawing a concierge. So, I can go innovate. It does it in this matron. That refers to only three of the mana christmas, but that's fine. We can play a split splash well, and there's that turn done. So, we have a four-five desert in this matron and a four-three split splash well, and they have a four-four and a three-three baritone in it. They've got four mana this turn, so they could play a craze conductor and get a lot of three threes, three of them to be precise. They have four mana, they have a perfect play. They've got five cards in hand. If they do it, it's going to hurt. Like, clearly, we play cheer-drake that turn, and we draw a spell, and then the following turn, we play one mana cheer-drake in the swipe and hope it's enough. Like, maybe we have to draw go with the flow of the spell off the first cheer-drake. But we'll take a lot of damage, but hopefully we can survive, but let's see what they do. They haven't played a craze conduct yet. It is turn four. I think you kind of slam it if you do have it, but maybe they're worried that my four-five and my four-three are just lining up too well against their stuff. Who knows? Who knows what they're doing. They're playing a fracking. Well, that's not a craze conductor, so I am suddenly a great deal happier about our situation. Now, if they, if they, uh, fracking into a, uh, no. Gosh. And encroaching in Sanzi and the party, the party, what you call it, what are they called? Uh, party fiends taking off the top. And then it looks like they're trading. Ah, okay, they traded in the three, the four-four into my four-five taunt, and then they played a truck gym tosser, which finished off the taunt and did a couple of damage to the split special up, but not killing it. So they have a three-three and a three-two, and I'm on 23. I've drawn a concierge, two concierges, and I've got five mana. So they've got a three-three and a three-two, and they didn't play craze conductor this turn. They may well have found a craze conductor off the fracking. I should have paid more attention to what card they played with the truck gym tosser, but I think it was, we're going to play with a truck gym tossing, so we start with the fracking and we'll thump. Uh, is Mr. Vista good enough this turn, or does it need to be cheer-drank, just to make sure that we, uh, I mean, cheer-drank drawing a spell, it could be a second swipe, I guess. Two swipes next turn is probably pretty good. But then again, if it is that, I don't have the mana to play the mini cheer-drank first. So I think Mr. Vista just contest the board beta, so let's play Mr. Vista. Trade our four-one into their three-three, leaving them with just a three-two. We're on 23, they have a three-two. Five cards in hand, five mana for the wall lock this turn. We've got a five-five now, which is keeping track of the spells we play over the next couple of turns, and then we'll just play them all. And swipes here, thankfully, deal four damage to an enemy and one to all other enemies. So, uh, when Mr. Vista replays a swipe, we're happy about that. The thing is, if there's still a bunch of minions up, we're not 100% happy to be in the position where we need Mr. Vista to replay our swipe, but that's a different story. The wall lock is on 27, uh, they're playing a card. Looks like the card they picked last turn, maybe. It's not the card they drew this turn. Oh, they put it back in the hand. That's a craze conductor that they got last turn, taking two fatigue, three fatigue, summoning three, three threes. Very good turn for them. Their Trog Gyms roster was taking me down 20, and then the playing fell string half. So they went down to 24. Okay, there's an innovate. So we cannot afford to swipe clear their borders turn. It's just not possible to do it. Uh, we could cheer drake, coin innovate, but it just does two to everything instead of like killing everything. I mean, it would kill the craze conductor or kill the Trog Gyms roster. There'd be three, three ones left, which isn't the end of the world. Uh, but that's only if we hear a parrot. I mean, I, I'm not hear a parrot. Uh, use the cheer drake for spell damage. I think we just cheer drake draw this turn attacking the craze conductor, get ready to take 12 from the attacking minions. While we're on 20, it doesn't seem very good, but it means we're setting up for a better swipe next turn. Dicy, cheer drake, draw a spell. What have you got for us? Let's take to the skies. I mean, I can afford to play the take to the skies this turn, I guess. Hmm, if I do, because maybe I get like five. Yeah, so innovate, take to the skies, five might save us next turn. There's a five turn to five mana, and another cheer drake. Then our Mr. Vista takes out the craze conductor. Okay, so we're on 20. They have four, three attack minions in play. We have a three, five and a five, two. If they start playing an encroaching incentive, one of which they have fracking to weigh. There's an elementium geode, seven mana next turn. We're still and we've used two innovates, so we can't like big cheer drake, little cheer drake. There's a fracking again, and I think they're here powered when I wasn't paying attention. We're taking a lot of damage, but we might, we might be able to get out of the woods. Oh, the second fracking took out the second craze conductor, and it took out a type or pupil. They're going face with all their minions, it took me to eight. I think clearly next turn, we have seven mana and a five mana five. We're playing like, I don't know, one mana cheer drake, we're just attacking with five. I don't know, five's got five attacks, it's pretty good. Seabreeze chalice. So let's think about this. We have a seabreeze chalice, we have a concierge, we have a one mana cheer drake. We're a one mana off being able to play cheer drake, swipe and concierge, which is probably for the best because, you know, they nerfed it to that. So maybe we're just playing five mana five this turn to go into that next turn, and so what does five get us this turn, takes out one of the three threes, heals us for five, we get to attack a three three into another one, we get to attack Mr. Vista into another one, at least then we're just a three two and a two one. I mean, I feel reasonably comfort about that, like we're still vulnerable to mortal crescendos, but at least we will heal a little bit. Can we afford to play anything else first like a cheer drake? We play a four mana cheer drake, makes five four mana, we're one mana short, so that's clearly not good. We play the one mana cheer drake, but we kind of want it for spell damage later, but also maybe just drawing a spell now is better. So let's do that, draw a spell. Five is now four mana, great, let's go with the flow. That is going to come in handy later, this is five, here's our hero power, we attack into a three three, we attack into a three three, we attack into a three three, I guess we also face tank this element in geode, because we're going to take two from it. If they have, uh, watching what we call it, crescendo, and the other time for people, like they can kill the fire, which is currently a five ten, we're on 12, we just don't want, like the enemy team geodes going to attack our face anyway, if they have that kind of play, so we might as well face tank it get off the board, could be totally wrong. The only thing they have is a three two, they've got seven mana, they've got like seven cards in hand, we still haven't seen any crescendos, we know there's one, that's giving them four fatigue, kills my stuff, except my five, there's a thorn veil tentacle, does two to my five, another crescendo dealing five, puts me to oh to three, ah, there it is, okay so, you might be thinking you were exactly dead, because of the uh, the truck gym tosser being on a tank face, because you face tanked the thorn veil tentacle, not the thorn veil tentacle, the uh, what's it called, the aluminium geode, but if I had not done that I would have been a plus one health, and they would have been able to attack me for two more damage, so we're going to negative one instead of dead, but them having the two crescendos there was enough, so they went crescendo to deal four to me and everything, and then thorn veil tentacle, which did two to the five, and then five to the second crescendo, the five had ten health, so it had to be basically crescendo crescendo and thorn veil tentacle, or some other kind of direct damage from hand, I wish they don't have very much, it has to be like uh, pop guard of putrid maybe, the guard had to be exactly those cards, before they'd actually have the lethal that they had, the two crescendos were not enough, because five had ten health, so never mind, that happens I guess, uh, I should have been, I guess suspicious when they milled a craze conductor and an encroaching insanity with their freckings, like if they're milling those what are they taking, what's better than that here, crescendo is the way they just win, right, you get back on the board, you have a big board, you have a fire, you're going to be healing for a lot in the near future, crescendo just erases all of that, uh, and they take you down, so there we go, we did see a type of pupil there at the end of the crime, they didn't use it, but to be fair, all they would need is one crescendo, uh, on that last turn, and perhaps a type of pupil would just kiss them the second one anyway, who knows, but they had what they had, and they got us, these things happen on csi, type of pupil, you know, on the train platform, I'm out of breath, which, you know, that's actually pretty normal, given we're walking uphill, I still officially winter here, about 27th August, uh, 27th of August is like, it's only officially winter this week, but all of this week, yesterday, today, gorgeous weather, I'm in a t-shirt, I'm even a little sweaty right now, ah, it's just delightful weather, we're loving it, there's a train coming, I should sign up and get on it, so, ooh, follow me on Twitch, Twitter, and YouTube @blisterguy, follow the podcast, walk to work at just on Twitter, if you just want to see the episode goes live, see the deck and book code for what we played, like concierge druid, it's a good deck, even though we lost two, ah, let's face it, one of the best decks in the format, ah, but it's a good deck, and of course, come hang out and discord, discord.me/blisterguy, just get the breathing back under control, it's always a pleasure to have you join me for my walk to work, good luck everyone, and everything you do, because you're all absolute bloody legends, I love you all, why is the train so iffy for a Tuesday, this is, I don't want to say suspicious, but it's unusual, is it holiday, no one told me, I don't think so, it's too good to take here, oh this is going to go to school today, oh yeah, this station is Wilson's port, please line again, we're getting on and pull off the train, you're closing, please stay tuned.
