(upbeat music) - Oh boy, good morning everybody and welcome into the Billie and Lisa morning show. Here we go, it is a Wednesday morning and Lisa Donovan, what's the weather gonna be like? - Oh, it's gonna be a hot one. Very humid if you like warm weather. Today's your day. - You love warm weather. - I do, it's gonna be like 90 degrees. It's very summer like, so get out and enjoy. - So 90 degrees in humid and you'll probably run 10 miles. - Well, you know what, I won't today 'cause I have the book club tonight. - Big book club event tonight. - Little busy today, so we'll have to do the run tomorrow. - Are we still all on board for tonight's book club event or the entire morning show? - The only one I'm asking that is you. - I am so on board. - Okay, I'll be there with producer Riley. - Oh good, I'll be there. - Good, well then we're all on board. - Yeah, this is cool that you and producer Riley are carpooling all the time. - That's very green of you. - Yeah, she's my neighbor. She lives in Salem, New Hampshire, so. It's good, we have little car talks. She actually listens to me unlike Winnie. She listens to my advice. - And you're not dropping any footprints out there, you know, you're just doing the right thing every single morning. So when do you start carpooling in the mornings? - I get her a little bit earlier than her. If she ever wants to get up that early, she's welcome to come with me. - Yeah, but then she leaves later than you. - Right. - Justin went to wait. He'd be like, listen, I gotta go to the gym, so you're gonna have to figure out a ride home. - Yeah, like legs happen today, I gotta go. - You know who was trying to figure out rides this morning, parents, because it's back to school? - It is for a lot of school districts it is. Some aren't, some are going back after Labor Day, but I know like where I live in the town of Milton, they are, but yeah, this is a big day. This is a big day for parents. Get the kids back in school. - I know Walpole is too. - Well, stonom schools were supposed to open today, but now it's not 'til next week the contractor didn't finish the job, I guess, at the high school. - Yeah, so that's delayed. - I'm sure those high schoolers are so sad about that. - Oh no, they interviewed the kids, the kids are like, this is the greatest musician. - Absolutely. - Another day on Fortnite. - It's a gift. - It's good to know that the contractors aren't just growing up at our projects. You know, they can't even get the schools open on schedule. - It's consistent, yeah. - So stonom gets a break, not until next week, sometimes certainly not until after a Labor Day. And I wake up this morning and I can't figure out whether I should be more concerned or afraid of Triple E or the, there's a-- - West Nile. - West Nile. - Well, Triple E is more localized. I mean, it's Plymouth, they're spraying, they're spraying out in Worcester, another town. So, I don't know, I mean, be mindful of it, but I wouldn't not go outside because of it. - I will say yesterday I was at my pool to late like 6.30, I was just laying by the pool doing nothing. And around that time, a bunch of like flies, mosquitoes, and I've had like three bites on my foot yesterday. - Well, and today's gonna really make it worse 'cause it's gonna be like really humid out there. - I could actually, yeah, there they are. I could be sitting here right now with Eastern Equine and Cephalitis because I got two brand new mosquito bites this morning on the way to work. - Ooh. - Well, they love you. - Yeah, that's the problem. I'm one of those people they talk about. - You're so sweet, Billie. - The mosquitoes, I don't know what it is. Maybe they're just angry with me. - Well, just put bug spray on and we're like, don't sit out like a twilight. That's the worst time. - You know what the irony is of all this though, is that Bill is gearing up for a big trip to Africa. He's very nervous. - Oh, God. - 'Cause they wanna be with the, you know, with the wildy animals. And then you're gonna die before you can get to Africa 'cause of West Nile. - Yeah, the good news is that he has all of the mosquito repellent gear now, all of the shirts and stuff. So why don't you just start wearing it now? - Okay, do you really think the mosquito repellent clothing really repels mosquitoes? Mosquitoes are angry individuals, okay? If they want you, they're gonna get you. By the way, Tripoli was born in Africa. I'm going to the birthplace of the mosquito. - Yes, you are. - Okay, what is that call? That's called just going where your wife kicks you. - Yeah, this is exactly what it is. - That's exactly what it is. - You're a good boy. - Yeah. - And then in Marblehead, coyotes are attacking joggers. - Ooh. - Like, they're so much to be worried about this morning. - Yeah, that poor woman in Marblehead, they think she might have rabies, they don't know. - That's horrible. - Gosh. Oh boy, so Tripoli, West Nile, coyotes. - Is there any positive news? Well, we have Lisa's book. - Yeah, it is. Jocelyn Maine tonight. - Yeah, now, Lisa, I know it sells out every single time you have a book club. - Yes. - Is there any last minute chance for people to go there tonight to Jocelyn Maine? - Honestly, if you want to DM me and you really want to go, I will fit you in. Again, just DM me at Lisa Donovan 108. I do have my own personal guest list, so they take a couple of seats for me. - Well, that's not that nice. - Yeah. - Are we guest listed at the morning show? - You are a guest listed. - We don't get a seat though, at least we're standing remotely. - Well, again, this is a furniture store. So luckily there are a lot of places to set. - You know what's funny about the standing room thing you just said, Winnie? On the very first book club, I went with Lisa's husband, Tim, and Lisa put the two of us outside the building. - Well, because I needed the seats. - Yeah, there was standing room only, and we were standing outside looking for the window. - They weren't. - And I'm not even exaggerating now that I think about it. - I know, I was in the room and you guys weren't. - I was there? - Yeah. - I was in the room. Ben Mezrich was the first, he was great. - He was great. - Yeah. - Well, Erin Gates is tonight. She is gonna be really great. I just had a fun conversation with her yesterday. So she's an influencer, a blogger. She's an interior decorator, author. I mean, she's doing everything. - Okay, so big back to school day today. Okay, so we wanna hear from a lot of moms, a lot of parents, okay? What are they thinking this morning? It's a lawyer. - Oh, yeah, but yeah, like, what's the first thing they wanna do? You know, now that they have their freedom again. Anyway, you're welcome to give us a call, even now 617-93-11108, or Justin, they can talk to you through the talk back, right? - Yeah, we really encourage that, you know, using the talk back mic. It's a way to get your voice heard on the Billion Lisa Show, be a part of the conversation. You can respond to the things that we say. You know, for example, Billie's the movie guy. You know, he finds these movies and he always comes in with these recommendations, which we appreciate. Thank you, Bill, for that. Yesterday's was, what was the name yesterday? - I watched it last night. - What was it called? - Vanished in two seconds or something. - Vanished in two nights. - Vanished in two nights. - Really, I watched that vanished into the night movie last night. I would have rather watched "Paint Drive" total waste of two hours next. - Yeah, I have to say, I kind of turned it off halfway through. - It's really, okay, and was it dubbed over? - Yeah, well, the only person who wasn't was the woman, the wife, she was American, so she was speaking, and, you know, normally, and then everybody else was speaking Italian. - Oh, that's what it was. She spoke. - Right, she's American, everyone else was from Italy. - Oh, okay. - So she was speaking English. - Right. - Are you speaking Italian? - Listen, it was an artistic movie. - It was, it was beautifully shot. You know why he liked it? There's a lot of boat scenes in it. - Exactly. - Oh, you should have said that. - Closing around the mighty Mediterranean. - All you need is boat b-roll. So welcome back. Again, this morning we've got so much going on. We'll get to entertainment in a couple of seconds. We'll talk about back to school and what moms and dads are going through. But Justin, let's get a couple of talkbacks in first. - Yeah, the cool thing we always talk about on the iHeart app and leaving talkbacks is you can do so from around the world. We think that's pretty cool. - Kelly, man, our morning team. This is Vegas Ray, calling in from the beautiful island of Nexos, Greece. Just wanted to touch base with you guys. He's had some SIM card issues in Sicily and wasn't able to do it. But now in beautiful Nexos and thinking of you guys listening to you and just wanted to check in, wish you guys all the best in a great week. Have a good one. - It was having SIM card issues in Sicily. - Mm. Now he's in Greece. They did the much anticipated podcast deal with Amazon's Wondery Plus. What do we know about Wondery Plus? - Not really up on Wondery Plus Plus. - They obviously, they have a hundred million dollars to spend. - Apparently because according to this deal, their New Heights podcast will still be widely available on podcast platforms but will be available early and ad-free on Wondery Plus. - Alright now. - 100 million, 100 million, Travis. - Alright now. - Yeah, you got it, babe. - Wondery Plus is its own platform, like own app. - I guess so, yeah. And I guess any kind of a pre-nup is really not necessary now because-- - He's moving into some Taylor money there. - Yeah. - Right, yeah. - They both have Taylor money. - They got Taylor money. - Man. By the way, I don't know if you knew this but their podcast was named podcast of the year at the 2024 I-Hard podcast award. - It's a really good podcast. - Yeah, it should have won it, it was great. - Yeah, really good podcast. Don't forget, she's been really sick. What is it that she's had? - Lupus and Cancer. - Oh my God. She dropped the trailer yesterday. - I really thought this album might be the last one I ever made. When you get sick like that, you start thinking about ways it could have all been different. What if this isn't how it all went down? - Wow, it's pretty heavy. She almost lost her life. - Yeah. - It was really, really serious. - Oh, some of the pictures of her in the hospital bed were scary. - You'll see her at the I Heart Radio Music Festival in September. - Oh, that's right. Two nights in September, the I Heart Radio Music Festival. Hey, you know who finally showed up? Harry Styles, where's he been? He's been working on new music. - Well, he showed up at Niall Horan's show in Manchester, England. He didn't jump on stage though. He was just in the audience dancing. - He's out and about. He's working on something. Supposedly, he broke up with a girlfriend, so now he's kind of out there working on new music, visiting friends. - Who was the girlfriend? - She was an actress, beautiful. - Well, she had the big Harry Styles. - Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if 2025 is the year of Harry Styles. - Oh, totally. - It comes back. - Big huge comeback. - And I'm looking forward to it. - Yeah, we don't forget, he went on. That tour he went on was like two years. - It was. - Oh, that's right. - Yeah. - And you went? - I did, Madison Square Garden. - Mm-hmm. New York City, baby. Home of the brave. Whoa. Carrie Underwood is gonna have a big year coming up 'cause she's gonna replace Katy Perry on American Idol 20, 20 years after she won American Idol. - I think I can be honest and constructive, but still kind. And I think that's the whole point 'cause people are coming in and, you know, it's dreams. And you're a part of somebody's story from that moment on. So I think it's important to be honest, but I think it's also very important to be kind. - What's interesting is it kind of sounds like Katy Perry there. - A little bit. - A little bit? - No. - But okay, a little bit. - Lisa, you can appreciate this next story because the Dunavans were recently in Iceland walking the glaciers. Did you kiss the rocks or something? - No, I did not, but I guess I was supposed to. - Well, Ludacris was in Alaska and he drank potentially dangerous glacier water. Check it out right here. - Listen, man, half the world's glaciers are here in Alaska. I couldn't come here and just have a show. You know, I got a bucket list. So as I like to call it the bucket list, I've never tasted fresh, glacial water ever in my life. And this is the first. - Oh my God. - It's weird because my son, my younger son Riley told me to do that. He's like, you gotta drink the water. And I was like, I don't think that's a very good idea. - Oh, did Riley drink the water? - I don't think so. - So he wanted to taste it. - He wanted to do it, but he wasn't gonna do it. - Hmm, wow. I'd love to go to Alaska. - Oh, it looks beautiful there. - Right? The video of Ludacris drinking the water looks incredible. - Yeah, that's funny. Alaska really not on my bucket list. - It's an, Alaska's important bill. - Let's get better acquainted with Alaska so we can understand why it's so important to us. - Okay. - Alaska's vast undeveloped regions are a storehouse of natural wealth. There are magnificent mountain ranges bearing precious ores of gold, silver, and copper. And along the coastline, there are untapped deposits of oil. - You know what I did do though with the water? I rubbed it all over my body. Like all my arms and stuff. - Oh, really? - Yeah. I don't know. - Sounds like a moment. - No, I don't know. I just felt like... - Did it feel refreshing? I don't know. - Everybody else around you. Are you rubbing it all over yourself? - No, I was just on my arms. I mean, 'cause it was so cold there. It wasn't like we were in our bathing suits, but I don't know. I just wanted to feel that water. - Water. - Yeah. - All right now. - Oh my god. (laughing) - This is already off to a very wacky life. - Oh, it's gonna be crazy. Trust me. God, I am so tired. The brothers from Oasis are back together, launching a series of shows in England. You get through the summer, you get through the Labor Day weekend, and it's time to go back. - Well, a lot of the schools are going today and tomorrow, and then have Friday off and Monday off. - Right. - Yeah. - I think it's to get a couple days in before-- - I just in case there's a snow problem, you never know. - Justin, how are the talk backers handling back to school? - They're doing okay. Yeah. I mean, parents are happy. I know that my wife is jumping for joy right now. - I bet. - They made my son's birthday. He drove us crazy the last two days. - Did you get him a new backpack, new sneakers, all that kind of stuff? - Yeah, we got him all that. We got him some sneakers last night. He wanted white sneakers. We tried to talk him out of it, but he creased them already, which is like a dagger in the heart to me when he creased the sneaker. - Oh, yeah. Oh, my God. - But we're excited, you know? - I think of you, Justin, because of all the mornings you'll say to me, "Yeah, I got to get right home. I got to get home real fast because the kids are home." - That was Justin. - Justin's working, yeah. - 'Cause I didn't have camp the last two days of summer. - Yeah, both kids. - "I got to go. I got to go. I got to go." - They're just sitting around, like waiting for school to start at a certain point. - Yeah. - Board, board. And then when you get the text from the wife that says E-T-A, question mark. - Oh, yeah. - It's not even like, "Hey, what time are you going to be home?" It's like, "Eat. What time are you going to be home?" - Yeah. And then when you get home, they're like, "At the door, say, 'Fine, you're home. Here they are. Here. Your turn. You got them." - I'm going in my room. - Yeah. - But yeah, it's crazy. Stoningham, though, is not done. - Yes. - Did you post Stoneham? - It's Stoneham. - It's Stoneham. - It's okay. They were supposed to go back today, but they're not. - Well, construction delays in the high school. - Yeah. - There's a shark. - That's crazy. Yeah, they were interviewing some of the kids outside the school. - When I heard about it, I was like, "Yes." Because I got to spend more time at home and enjoy summer a little bit more. - Mm-hmm. - Yeah. - That's good, 'cause today's going to be really hot. - Yeah. - Oh, I know. - It's a beach day. I was wondering that since a lot of schools don't have AC. - Right. Well, maybe they'll be doing a lot of outdoor classroom work today around, you know, they'll all sit in a circle. - Yeah. - It's so cute. - It's going to be very humid, though. - Yeah, it'll be fun, I know. It's always kind of fun. Meet the new teachers, meet the new students. - Do they still have outdoor recess? - Yeah. - Yeah. - Oh, of course they do. - I used to love that. - Yeah. - Oh, gosh, yeah. - Yeah. - Do you think they just keep them inside all day, Bill? They keep them locked up all day now? - No, I didn't know. It's been a long time. My kids have been out of school for so long. I didn't know if recess was still a thing. - No, it's definitely still a thing. It's my son's favorite class. - Yeah. - Oh, you go outside. You play a kickball. - He's everybody. He still do. - They do dodgeball kick, although you're probably not allowed to play dodgeball anymore. - Yup, soccer. - No, they play dodgeball. - Oh, okay. - Yeah, they play football. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah, they run around the whole playoff. - Yeah. - So, yeah, I know some parents are sad, especially those little little ones, like going to first greater kindergarten, like when he's nice, you know, it's emotional, but the ones that are a little bit older, you're like, go. - Yeah. I don't know. - Just go. - Good morning, everyone. Let's not forget our teachers who are heading off to work today to greet your little cherubs on their first day of school. I hope everyone has an awesome day. - I know. - Yeah, by the way, teachers too have it tough because they started going in a couple of weeks earlier to set up the classrooms. They do a lot of work for them to be creative. - Most, a lot of teachers have their own kids. - Yeah. - Right? - Yeah. - So, they've got double duty. They're shipping their kids out to school and then they go back, they go into the classroom. - I can't imagine taking care of 25 plus kids all day long and then going home and having to take care of my own children. - It's a lot. - Not for a lot of children. - I would be a heavy drinker. (laughter) - You know? I can't imagine in the classroom all day with like 25, even 30 kids in some classrooms. - No, I have a high respect now for teachers, way more than I did when I was younger. You know, they're taking care of our kids, you know, day in and day out. - Not very much though. - And their problems. - It's not easy. - No. - That's for sure. - God. It's a crazy time in the year for everybody, crazy time in the year. But it's back to school time and you know what else, it's topic time. And that's got to be the topic, right? Everybody's talking about it. - Well, yeah, if your kids are going back, what's the one thing you're looking forward to most? - Yeah, like when that door closes to the school bus and they're gone for the first time, all summer long, what's the first thing you're planning like, "Oh my God, I can't believe I can't wait to what?" But anyway, we'll take your calls and your thoughts on back to school 6179311108. Justin, talk back, how do they get there? - I heart radio app the red microphone there and we'll take some emotional parents too. - Oh yeah. - We'll mix those in too, but yeah, we want to hear what your hallelujah moment's going to be today. - Keeps 108. - What is the topic? - Today we're going to be talking about... - Billy and Lisa present topic time. - Talk amongst yourself. - Topic time. - Well, we're going to talk amongst ourselves and we're going to talk with everybody else because it's back to school week, it's back to school day for a lot of cities and towns today. We mentioned earlier this morning, Stonum was supposed to go back today, but that's all till next week. - Right. - They had construction issues at the new high school. - Right. - It's always slightly staggered, but it seems like a lot of kids are going back to that. - Oh yeah. Everybody's freaked out. Let's start with Corrie. Corrie, good morning. What's your story? - Good morning. I'm a first grade teacher in Rutland, math, and we started yesterday, but I also have a little kindergartner on my own starting tomorrow, kind of in the middle of both aspects of it. - Well, we were talking about that. - Yeah. - A lot of teachers have to do both. - Yeah. It's crazy. I'm in the thick of it right now. I can't really go with her to her orientation today, so my husband's going to take the reins on that, so hopefully it goes well for her. - I can't even imagine what it's like for you. So you've got a full classroom of kids, and now you've got a kid that's going to school, you and your husband are trying to juggle everything. - Yeah. And we have a one-year-old who doesn't sleep well. - Oh, my God. - Oh, my God. - Oh, my goodness. - Oh, I hear that. - You're in the thick of it. - Yeah. But, you know, you just count your blessings, everybody's healthy, and do them well, so. - That's true. - Well, thank you for listening to us, and thank you for checking in, and good luck on the new school year. - Yeah, thank you. Shout out to my little kindergartner, Tess, and to my first graders at Mayquag Elementary. - And beautiful Rutland, Massachusetts. - Really? Do you know what Rutland is? - No idea. - No idea. I could actually find Rutland for Mom, and that's a lot easier than Rutland, Massachusetts. - Thanks. - You know, you just go right up there. Let's go to Megan. Megan, you're next. Tell us your story. - Good morning, guys, so just like the last caller, I am a teacher starting my 24th year. - Oh, good for you. - I can hear her. I had two little kids, but today I have a freshman in college. A freshman senior, and we're all starting today. - Wow. - Milestone. - That's crazy. - It is crazy. - How about your college kid, is he going far away, or? - He's going to Roger Williams University, and we only live 15 minutes away, so he's commuting the first couple of years. He's being smart about it. - Oh, that's good. Yeah, that's good. - Yeah. - And then a freshman in high school. What town again? - She goes to Dartmouth, hi, and I teach in Lakeville. - Oh, okay, so Shell Coast, obviously Rhode Island, yeah. - Hey, do you know that Lakeville is the one and only vacation week I had as a child? - Oh, I know, your kiss, your first kiss there, right? - Oh, yeah, you know the story. - Oh, she knows. - She was from Texas. - No. - Buena Vista Shores, does that still exist? - Yeah, that's not really that nice anymore. - It wasn't that nice name on it. - It never was. I never thought the name matched the place. - That sounds really amazing. - Buena Vista Shores, you know. - Wow, that's crazy. Yeah, a lot of teachers, you know, going back to happy, be back in the classroom, but bum the summers over. - It's nice to see the kids excited for school. The parents excited to send their kids back to school, and then you realize that you, yourself, you are the back to school, because you are the teacher, and your long vacation has ended. I sound pretty bitter. I'm very excited to start the new year, but just wish summer was ending. - Yeah, a lot of people wish it was endless summer. Every year, everybody says, same time this year, can't believe the summer's over. Boy, that summer full of buy. - You know, when I was younger, my dad used to say, "Oh, July 4th, summer's over," and I'm like, "Are you crazy?" Sorry, and now that I'm an adult, he's right. He's so right. - Really? - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Once the fourth is over, you get some summers old. - Yeah. - Mentally. - Yeah, just in general. - Well, if you walk around the stores, they start putting all the backpacks out, back to school pencils and everything. - Oh, yeah. - It's crazy. - The other thing that's crazy that I just, I can't figure out for the life of me. I mean, I know why they do it, but teachers, you know, they end the school year, right? They think the summer off, and they stop listening to our show. Like they just, you guys are not driving to work. - I don't think so. - It's salty about it. - Huh? - It makes me a little salty that they just think they can take the summer off from us. - Yeah. But then they always come back, which we love. - Hello again to my favorite morning show people. The teacher is back today. No kids till next week, so good luck for those people jumping. You've been in with the kiddos today, but I am happy to hear your voices. Happy to be back. I'm sure you've missed me too, right? - We have missed you. We've missed all of you. - Yeah. - And again, a reminder. - Yeah. - When you take the summer off, you can listen in your house on your smart speaker on your phone. - At any time of the day or night. - Yeah. It's free. Anyway. Oh, look who it is. - Hi, everybody. It's Abel. I hope you guys had a great night. It's time for me to go back to school today. And I hope you guys have a good school year, and don't go to the principal's office. And I just want to give a shout out to my new teacher, Ms. Hilton and all the other second-grade teachers. - Oh, thank you. - Thank you. - Good luck, Abel. - Yeah. - I love Abel, like members of my own family, but he's going to wear out a path to the principal's office. Let's be honest. - Well, I like how he's starting off the school year, right? - Yeah. - Right? - No, he's actually doing a lot better now. - Yeah. - And so, yeah, they love him over there. And his teacher, the Baron in Salem, New Hampshire, Mrs. Hilton, shout out to her. - And it's so cool that he sent us a talk back. - Well, look who his dad is. - Yeah. - They call me the gosh father. - Oh, God, yeah. He's got to get on that. - Yeah, he knows what's up. He knows what to do. That's awesome. Back to the phones we go. Karen, you're up next. What's your deal? - Hi. This is Kareem. I'm the funnest teacher at Concord Middle School, and I am colonned because I am super excited to go back to school. Today is my first day with my students. - Oh, nice. Concord. - Yeah. - Good old... - You know, beautiful Concord. Justin, you spent a lot of time. - Oh, they didn't even do today. - Yeah, not today. - I have to say, my kids always love their Spanish class. They love it. - I like it. - Love it. Love it. Love it. - What was your class like in that? - Oh, my God. - I'm sorry. Can you talk to her? - I know. I'm trying. I'm trying. Go ahead and repeat that. - She's saying the thing. - I was saying that I love my job. I... We do music, we do some a little cooking, it's very interactive, and I believe that teaching should be handsome, but just memorizing charts and birth conjugation and a lot of that. - Wow. Did you say you do cooking in class? - Yes. We read a book and bring ingredients that are related to the culture that we beat. - It's so great. It's so informative and the kids love Spanish class. - Yeah. I want to be in your class. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Billy speaks Spanish. - I got it. He got it. - Is that really him? - Yes. - That's when Enrique Santos was in studio. - Oh, no. Do it again. Do it again. - Yeah. - I got it. He got it. - Enrique Santos. - Enrique Santos. - That's a her, the Spanish teacher. What was her name? - Karlie de la Cruz. Hernandez. - Okay. - That's awesome. - Let's go to Lauren next, Lauren. What's your story? - Good morning gang. I am happily retired and not returning to school this year. It is the best feeling in the world. - So are you calling a quote because the rest of us have to go to work? - Yeah. Sorry, Winnie. It's going to be your turn, honey, someday. I'm promise. - Well, you know what? You've earned your right to go. - Totally. - I sure have 34 years. - So what are you going to do with yourself now? - That feeling, anything and everything I want. - You need to be up at 7.48 in the morning. Why aren't you sleeping? - Well, you know, I don't know. - Come on. - I was into the morning show. - You got it. You're having your hallelujah moment. - Yeah. - She's having her coffee with us. - She's jumping down it. - Yeah. - And I just want to shout out to Justin. I am a former Barren School Bobcat. Best school ever. - There we go. - There we go. - Where's that? - Yeah, Barren School in Salem, New Hampshire. - So nice. - That's where Abel goes. - That's where he goes. - I'm Bobcats. - He's a bad guy. - He's a bad guy. - Yeah. You know what? We love all the teachers. - Good morning. Happy Wednesday. I've got to tell you, I don't have any sympathy for these teachers going back. You had a whole summer while the rest of us were still working. - Okay. All right. - So no sympathy. - Okay. All right. Well, we don't want to go negative. - I don't think we're out. - We're not. - No. - We're just embracing everybody in every situation. - Yeah. And I don't ever kind of disagree with that because, you know, first of all, teachers don't make nearly what they should be making. A and B, yeah, they get the summer off, but they work so hard they've got a classroom full of kids every day. - They do. And they worked over the summer too. A lot of them are in. - A lot of them do. - They do. And they work really hard to have their classroom set up creatively. They do their homework, I think, most of the summer too. - They do. Yeah. - So there. - That lady was there. That lady was a little salty. - Yeah. And a little salty. - You could have became a teacher if you wanted the summer off, honey. - Yeah, a little bit. And the teacher who's having her first year of retirement, I want to know what that's like. She's just going to get up every morning and not have to go anywhere or do anything. Ah, and might as well say it when he pension. - I know. - Oh, the pension. - That's a good thing about being a teacher, pension. - Yeah. All right. Well, here come the teachers. - I want you to know that I am a teacher and I do not take the summer off from you. So thank you for giving a shout out to teachers and Abel is just adorable. Have a great day. - Oh, thank you very much. - He really is a cool kid. He handled that very well. - He did. Well spoken. - He poised. My wife texted me actually. She said he's literally off the rails hyper this morning excited. - Oh, yeah. See, that's good. - He's excited. - I like that. Yeah. - Go see all his friends. - Yep. - So how old is Abel? - He's seven. - I remember that last year for first grade on the very first day of school, like today, Billy told him on the air live to just skip school. Yeah, you know, don't, you know, just different. - You make a statement on the first day. You play hooky. - Yeah. - Don't, yeah. Don't listen to Uncle Bill. - Everybody in school knows who you are. - Yeah. All right. Let's give a shout out to all the happy parents today. Do as close on the bus, just feed yourself, get expensive coffees, honestly, all your own self-care. Take care of kids all summer is expensive. Just feed them. It's expensive on your sanity, just love yourself, give yourself drinks and food and enjoy it. - Yeah. Lots of drinks. Yeah. What do you say, Bill? - Oh, my gosh.
