Good morning. It is Tuesday, August 27th going to be sunny for the most part today. Little humid highs close to 80 degrees chance of early showers tomorrow morning, even warmer highs into the 80s tomorrow and then back into the 70s on Thursday, supposedly the busiest travel day for the Labor Day weekend. Top stories. The family of John O'Keefe now has filed a civil suit against Karen Reed and two different bars, McCarthy's and the waterfall bar and grill. The big difference between civil and criminal cases, of course, is the burden of proof. Remember, it's more likely than not, which means over 50%, but certainly not the criminal standard of beyond a reasonable doubt. Yeah, the two bars are being charged for over serving of the night, John O'Keefe was killed. Last week, the judge in the case refused to drop two of the charges against Karen Reed. Other stories, the drunk driver charged with stealing a car outside Gillette Stadium this past weekend, causing a multi car crash. Killing a 10 year old boy was in court yesterday. Family members of that little boy outraged and crushed with emotion. Beautiful child. He was in a door by everyone. If you encountered him, you would have fell in love with this child. He had a heart of gold. The suspect of being held on $100,000 bail. Still no deal on the sale of those five steward healthcare facilities. The deal they say is expected after Labor Day. Meantime, both the Carney Hospital and the Shobah Valley Medical Center are still facing closure. The end of this week, workers forming a human chain outside the Shobah Valley yesterday. As far as I can tell, steward is not answering that question of where the patients are going to go, how they're going to make sure their care is uninterrupted. Other stories this morning, the town of Plymouth, one of 13 cities and towns dealing with a threat from Triple E, spraying expected to begin tonight. And suddenly, the Harris and Trump camps are not in total agreement on the upcoming debate on ABC September 10th. A few last minute changes in the format have suddenly popped up. Harris running mate Tim Wall is going to be in Boston for a fundraiser tomorrow and a special task force now looking into the assassination attempt on former President Trump has been formed. Several Secret Service agents working that day have been put on leave. Tulsi Gabbard yesterday endorsing former President Trump and Mariah Carey says her mother and sister died on the same day this past weekend. The Patriots and the rest of the NFL having to trim the rosters yesterday. The Pats in fact cut as many as 14 players. Red Sox lost both games to the Blue Jays.
