It's the Gorilla Sports Podcast and I'm your host Alex Bullpin and it's Tuesday, August 27th. All right, guys, we're recaping a pretty good night. We had some good reads last night. Let's get into it. First play is we had Cleveland and Kansas City over eight and a half. Oh, I call this one perfectly. This cashed in the fourth inning and it'd be in a nine four final. They scored 13 runs. So we smashed over that one. Our batter parlays, we went two and one yesterday. So we had Yoshida and Bobby Whit to get a hit. That came through for us with Vlady Guerrero and Brian Reynolds to get one hit. That came through for us. And finally we paired our two losers together. So Juan Soto and Nolan, our NATO both didn't get a hit, but finally we had them on the right ticket together. So we weren't splitting the books or we weren't coming up on even. So this was a beautiful day. Three and one. We'll take that all day. All right. Let's get into some plays today. I got three plays going. It's all batter parlays. Let's get into it. Our first one is we are going to take Vlady Guerrero to get one hit. Now he's one for four versus Griswell and Boston today, but he smashes in Boston. He's got 350 at Boston. He's got to hit in 21 of his last 25 games. So that's a great look and he's got a huge minus 370 price tag. So we had to find somebody to pair with him. And I like Ryan McCann today of the Colorado Rockies. Now this guy is getting priced horribly. He's actually on a bit of a down run, but he's got a good history and it's versus Rotteri Munoz of the Miami Marlins. Now they're batting in Colorado. As we know, it's the most hitter friendly park in the league. Munoz has a league worse 2.55 home runs per nine. That was one of our handicaps from yesterday with Logan Allen and we saw what Kansas City did to Logan Allen absolutely crushes him and he is in the first percentile in barrels. That is the bottom of the barrels. Everybody can hit off this guy. So we just need Ryan McCann to get on base and I like that look. The two of those guys together, we got a minus 118 so Ryan McCann and Vladigarero together. Our next one is we are going to take our boy Aaron Judge to get one hit and he's going versus Patrick Corbin. We've been going against Corbin all year long. Now he's one for two with a homer versus Corbin. He's got to hit in 21 of his last 25 games. He bats three 12 versus left handed pitching and Corbin gives up 10.97 hits per nine. That's beautiful. We're going to pair him with Cody Bellinger. Now Bellinger is absolutely on fire in August. He's got 324 in August. He's three for six with a homer versus his pitcher today and he's two for three with a homer and a double and that's in 2024. So I like that look a lot. Our next play and actually when you pair those two guys together, you get a minus 110 so good price there as well. Our last and final plays, we're going to take global Torres in the New York Yankees. Now he's actually on a bit of a tear himself right now. He's got a hit excuse me, a six game hitting straight. He's got hits in 18 of his last 21 games and he's two for three with a homer versus Patrick Corbin as well as the Patrick Corbin stats go. He's not a great pitcher. Gives up a ton of contact. So that's a good look for him and we're going to find a guy to pair him because both judge and him are both in the minus 380 minus 390 depending on what book you have Matt. So I found a good spot to pair him with Connor Joe of the Pittsburgh Pirates and he's going versus Justin steel. He's six for 12 with a homer versus Justin steel as he's not much of an average guy but he sees steel really well. Now he's been versus steel twice already in 2024. He went one for two with a homer and one for three with a double. So I like that look and when you pair these two guys together because Connor Joe's price is so dramatically low, you get a plus 114. So I like that. Look, we got three batter parlays going today and tomorrow 9 p.m. Eastern live on Twitter spaces me and my buddy Jeremy Webb will be getting you ready for the NFL season. We're going to talk some fantasy actually and he's a big college college football expert as well. So looking forward to writing down some of his takes. I followed call I follow college football. People ask me about different sports all the time. Are you going to get into this? Get into the Olympics. I find it disingenuous. I can't give away picks that I wouldn't put my own money on. And if I can't research it or put in the actual time that I feel is necessary to make educational picks, I won't do it and I won't make picks for you, but I'll be following his.
