A jury in Nevada has found a former Las Vegas area democratic politician guilty of murder in the killing of an investigative journalist who wrote articles critical of his conduct and office. Robert tell us was sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility at 20 years. And a militia group member who communicated with other far-right extremists while they stormed the US Capitol has been sentenced to five years in prison. Secretary Punjwani has more on the case. Federal prosecutors say for weeks before the January 6th, 2021 riot, Kentucky electrician Dan Edwin Wilson planned with others to attack the Capitol and stop the peaceful transfer of presidential power. Wilson told the judge that he regrets entering the Capitol that day but got involved with good intentions. Wilson pleaded guilty in May to conspiring to impede or injure police officers.
