It's time for the FM Talk 106-5 Fisher Report brought to you by McConnell Buick GMC and McCoy Outdoor Company and from 18 Fish and Adventures, my buddy, Captain Bobby Everscato. Good morning. Good morning, my friend. Hey, before we get started, I want to say a happy 40th anniversary to my wife, Ms. Kim, you know her well. Mm-hmm. Yeah. 40 years, man. I'm telling you. And, you know, I've heard he heard that she's being nominated for Sainthood. Well, that's right. I am. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, that's all right. So, anyway, but happy anniversary, and enjoyed every minute of it. This is like, so guys, look, if you say, listen, I don't know, if I go fishing another day, she's going to leave me. Bobby goes fishing all the days, so, you know, just use that for your argument. I get that. I get that. What I get is, you know, I will say, man, my wife says, are you going fishing again more than it goes. When are you going fishing again? Yeah, I get it, I need some new shoes, you better go fishing again, you know? That's right. Yeah, it's a good thing. So, you all just tell them, even if you're not God and say, honey, I've got to go out there and guide some clients and then send you out with a lunch to go. That's right. Let's look at this. Yeah. It's, it's, did you look at the calendar? It's September, my brother. Unbelievable. I'll tell you. It's just hard to believe. But I'll tell you, I, and, and, you know, we've heard about what we got coming on this, uh, cold, arctic blast that we're going to get this weekend. I hope you got your, uh, your winter gear ready, your mittens and your muffins and all the other things that you put on. You know, it's going to probably cool down to about 85 degrees, which will feel like a cold spell way. It's been fun. I'll take it. Yeah. It's not a hundred. I'll take it. So what, what is that? I mean, that's a little harbinger for it. Does it, does it change how you fish? It starts to, Sean. The next thing we'll be talking about the, is the fall transition and that usually starts when the water temperature starts to drop, and the first thing that the big thing that starts, you start seeing first is a lot of the shrimp migration, the shrimp getting on the move. And you know what that means? That's bird schools, uh, particularly up in the northern part of the bay and the northern part of the sound with the shrimp, get on the move, travel with them, feeding on them. And of course they become prey for the birds. And so we fish these bird schools and we'll be talking about that on and off for the next, probably a couple of, a couple of months anyway while they shrimp are on the move. But, you know, look for that to happen. We'll be towards the end of this month if we continue to get these cooler snaps. The other thing that'll happen this weekend is pre-cold front is we're going to get some of this weather coming in here. And the other thing that that does, that helps to keep the water a little cooler because you get rain, get cloud cover, you get wind, and that oxygen needs to water and keeps the water cool. And basically all that means is that, especially that shallow water deal, if you like doing that kind of thing like I do, that thing stays active more into the day, doesn't mean that that deep water deal is not working, getting out there with some bait, some live shrimp. You got a great weekend, catching some fish, you talked about off the air. So, you know, that kind of thing is going to work wonderful for you until the water temperature gets sure enough, you know, cooled down into, you know, under that 75 degree range. We're not there yet. But that's going to happen. And again, that's the next thing that we're talking about. So as far as this weekend goes, it sounds like the lower end of the bay is going to be the place to be with the northeast wind. We're going to have for a couple of days, you know, if you can get out to some of the close structure in the sound and just off the beaches with live bait, he's going to be a variety of species, including white trout, speckle trout, gosh, you know, pick, you know, open Dr. Shipp's book and pick up the species and you're liable to catch one of them, you know. So that's probably going to be your best bet for this weekend. All right. Are you, because I mean, I threw gulps this weekend, they got fish, but on the live bait side, I mean, shrimp never go wrong, but still, still croaker bite strong. Yeah, 75 degrees, again, the magic number for croakers, it seems like, as long as that water temperature is over 75, they have that anchor in for croakers. I don't know what happens when it starts to cool off, but they just get off of them. So yes, absolutely. Because we're still in the upper 70 degree, upper 70 degree range water temperature wise, and they'll still be on those croakers. If you can get your hands on those, gosh, you can fish them a variety of ways. We talked about a few weeks ago, how to fish them and how to keep them alive. And so those are going to work probably fully, at least at the end of this month. So if you can get your hands on some of those, you won't go wrong with those either. All right. People want to get a trip booked with you. Let's talk about how to do that. How do they call your, your wife? How do they call Miss Kim? Just go to a team fishing dot com. It's got an email, email, email form you can send or the phone numbers, 2516167696 and chill answer that just about all the time to get me out there to get her some money for new shoes. Yeah. It works that way. Bobby Ben. I appreciate it. We'll do it again next week. Okay, buddy. Have a great weekend. You too.
