It's time for football Friday with Paul Beinbaum, preceded by Bryant Bank. Your hometown bank with big bank benefits, located in Mobile and Baldwin counties. Now, here's Dan Brennan and Dalton Arewig. And Paul Beinbaum on football Fridays with Beinbaum, we catch him live here this morning in between phone calls with Deon, I guess. What's been going on, Paul? Yeah, listen, I've gotten blamed for a lot of things this week that I had nothing to do with. But I was simply asked on our ESPN show, the other night, Deon is pretty much writing my entire career off. So he said, I'm a dying breed and I'm out of touch with reality, and I'm only talking about him because he's hot. Yeah, well, and he's only talking about me because he's been skinny and a narcissist. Yeah, it's, you know, I thought the season was getting started here at Colorado. So I've seen a lot of other nervous coaches, you know, that are maybe not worried about the season getting started, but they have their mind on the game. Deon has had a lot of time here to go after the media, it seems, Paul. Well, Deon never has missed an opportunity to get publicity and he had clearly the PT Barnum of this generation for those who don't even know who PT Barnum was, he used to run the circus and that's pretty much when Deon, but listen, I don't mind because guys by the time you get to the week of the first game, I mean, other than the Florida state mess from last weekend, beer is not a single new thing to talk about. So for those of us who are in the entertainment, well, excuse me, the sports entertainment business, we particularly enjoy stories like this. Well, let the games begin. That's what I say, Paul. And they finally will. Yes. That's for sure. You know, last week we spent a lot of time talking about the big changes before we get into some of this week's games, a couple we didn't bring up last week that we saw in action over the past weekend and last night games, new two minute warning, which means you get an extra little commercial break in there, helmet communications with the quarterback up until about 15 seconds on the clock and tablets on the sidelines. Those are some pretty big end game changes. Do you think that'll make, have a major effect this year? I think they will help the communication, obviously Connor's stallion to the Michigan guy last year, jumped a gun on this in game communication deal. I mean, I think it's necessary, frankly, look, why do we have to play stupid games? You know, looking over the sideline and trying to hide it, I mean, just talk directly to the quarterback. I mean, it would be a little confusing to me, trying to, you know, among all the other noise, but I like it very much. And, you know, a lot of things, the two minute warning, the last couple of minutes of the game, as you guys know, takes so long, I don't really think that's significant. I know there's a lot of conversation about the kickoff rules and the NFL, but yeah, every year we hear it's all about safety, but I get to see much evidence of that. You know, real quick on this conversations, you know, not all offensive coordinators are built the same. So if you have a, it's kind of crazy that a quarterback will be distracted by a dim-witted offensive coordinator for 15 seconds leading up to each snap. If you have a bad coach, I don't think it helps. No, and by the way, I've stood on those sidelines and they still can't get the signal in. I mean, this is, I mean, that's all, that's all an offensive coordinator got. He works on the game plan. He works on situations. So when he sees something out there, he should be able to communicate, but I, by the way, my first year covering Alabama, I stood about 10 feet away from Bear Bryant and Malmore, if you may remember him in a game in Mississippi that Alabama lost ending this 27-game winning streak and costing him a national championship, and to this day, I'm still waiting for Malmore to get the, to get the play in to the quarterback. They fumbled, they fumbled on the goal line in Jackson, Mississippi, and lost the game. And I waited for about 30 years to bring it up, now that Mal and Coach Bryant are both gone. But I didn't want to embarrass, but I was always wanting to ask Mal, and that was her. I was five feet away from you, and I think what he would have told me was he was waiting for Coach Bryant to tell him what he wanted to do, and Bryant in the moment just couldn't think straight. Wow. That's it. That's it. There's a story right there. Heck of a story. Let's keep talking about the tide, and of course, Dabor, game one, Kaitlyn Dabor is the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, and Western Kentucky coming into Tuscaloosa, put about a, they're sitting around 31, 32 point favorites are the tide. What are you, if you're an Alabama fan wanting to see from this game one this week? I want to say, Jalen, no, how does he handle this new offense, and it's definitely, it's definitely, you know, my dog's excited about the season. It's definitely a new offense. So I roll side, buddy. I think that's really what I'm most interested in, and you know, what is the more like? He is, you know, he's not a lot of things right. He's not been the most excited coach I've been around, but I might suggest him taking my dog with him out of the game center, but I think it's really all about the offense. The defense is not going to be showing up one way or the other. I have questions. Yeah. And I sympathize. I went out and got a blue tick coon hound after Tennessee beat Alabama just a couple of years ago. So he's allowed one to Paul. So we're dog friendly here. No worries about that at all. Also, yeah, well, you got Auburn, of course, and you got Hugh Fries right here on FM Talk 106 five. They've got an opener against Alabama A and M and a big favorite there, but not the score, but what would Auburn want to see out of their team? I think it's the same way I used to cover teams as a for a beat for a newspaper. I mean, these games, you were basically down there just studying just how the operation flows. There's not much to be gained and quite frankly, I don't think in either game, you're going to see either coach get very much away. Kirby Smart says something really interesting the other day. It's unlike the NFL. We get out there. We have no idea what we're going to see. All we can do is look at the previous year. And that's not a very good indicator, especially when you have a new coach. So first you freeze, do they look CRISPR, but this game, I mean, I don't want to dissuade any month and going down and listening here on the station, but it's a good game to take your kids to it. Maybe a half time. So hey, let's get one more hot dog and go home. Yeah. We had a co-host who thought the same thing last year about was it New Mexico State, took the kid out there to the Auburn came there. That didn't work out as well as he had planned then. But we'll see a lot of new recruits, a lot of transfers that came in there. Yeah. I remember that week, that was the beginning of the, at some point somewhere around the middle of November last year, before that game, she freezes defensive coordinator took a two week vacation because he didn't make it to that game and he certainly didn't make it to the final play of the iron ball. Nobody was there. Nobody was on that. Yeah. Well, we do have some really good matchups this week one, including SEC teams. And I guess if we go chronologically, how about two programs, one that is really, really has high hopes this year, Miami, and they're heading to the swamp and I think a 2.30 game. I guess I messed up the chronological Georgia Clemson, but Miami at Florida, Cam Ward quarterback for Miami. What are we going to see in Gainesville this Saturday? That is one of the probably the two most interesting games of the day from the weekend, I should say, because I don't, I don't think either team can either coach can really afford the loosest game. And for Florida, it's a little more important because Christopher Ball has not had a great run so far in Miami, but he has a really good team with Cam Ward. Florida is a mystery. I mean, the schedule has been talked about ad nauseum, but if should they lose this game, their path to a 500 or a winning record is almost shut. And that's before we get to September. Georgia Clemson, Georgia seems to be the big favorite, but I don't know if that's, that's going to be the case, Paul. How do you see that game? Some strange reason. I see the game being a little closer, maybe the betting line, and that's not for, I think Georgia is a little bit banged up right now. Clemson has something to prove and I mean, by the way, it's Georgia, but I just think there's so much pressure on Davos winning to get this program back and this is probably his biggest opportunity of the year, it's the biggest game to play. Yeah, I agree. Yeah, another game we're fired up around here about is Notre Dame. At college station and taking on Elko in his first year as the Texas A&M head coach. Of course, we're fired up. Riley Leonard, now the quarterback at Notre Dame, the former Fair Hope quarterback and then Duke with Elko and then now on to the Irish, only a two and a half point spread in this one. And the funniest thing to me would be if Jimbo is gone and A&M ends up having some kind of record year in the first year with Elko, a lot to prove for both of these sides Saturday night too. Yeah. Well, I got to get off the subject, I saw Jimbo is now there and be on satellite radio once a week, giving his opinion, like, how can anybody understand what that guy talks to us? I mean, can you imagine? Yeah, it will. Ed Orgeron B is co-host. Yeah. You know what, that might be a Kelsey Brothers podcast right there probably. That's a very intriguing game because obviously Leonard played for Elko and now Elko is coaching against him. Yeah, I'm guessing Elko knows a little bit more about Leonard's tendencies than Leonard knows about Elko. So I really like A&M this game. I think the Saturday night crowd, Kyle Field is the difference. I'm going to wrap up the weekend wraps up LSU USC, LSU enough on defense to get this win? Fairly enough. I think the offense is probably, the both offenses are really good, but in my mind, I just don't buy what's going on out there at USC. I think they're a program in great transition and Lincoln Riley is about to find himself on the hot seat. Yeah. So you always speak so highly of Lincoln. Lincoln Riley, I'm so, I'm so confused, Paul. Well, I go from, listen, guys, without horrible and sacred, I've got to pick on somebody. Yeah, there's plenty to choose from, but he's a good candidate. And you know, these two teams looking so differently offensively as well. Maybe not the points we would have seen last year with Daniels behind one line and Williams behind the other, kind of remaking both offenses. No, exactly. I think, I think LSU is going to be okay. Dr. Brian Keller the other day and, you know, he's trying to mask the problems on defense, but I think, I think no Smire quarterback is, it's a drop off, but it's really not significant. He will be one of the better quarterbacks in the SEC. All right. Paul, thanks for the conversation this morning. We always appreciate it, and we know that you're getting stretched in a number of directions with your conflict with neon Dion. So thanks for taking time. Oh, yeah. He's on the other line. Ready for me to yell at me again. Guys, I'll see you next week. All right. Thank you. Paul Finebaum, the Paul Finebaum Show, two to six every weekday afternoon, right here on FM Talk 106.5, and it's presented by Bryant Bank, Football Fridays, every Friday morning right here at eight o'clock. And coming back, more mobile mornings on the way. So turn up your voice, two, five, one, three, four, three, zero, one, zero, six, stay tuned. [MUSIC] Good morning from Dan and Dalton FM Talk 106.5, mobile mornings, a group with Willie of course from right here in Mobile, getting us ready for the weekend. Paul Finebaum did that, you know, sends theirs. We looked over the football games and of course, last night, Coach Dion was a winner, but not by much. Yeah. Yeah. They did take care of business in the second half against North Dakota State, but it still ended up being a five-point game at the end. So Travis Hunter though, what a player is he. Yeah. Like without him, they're a different team. They really are. Right. So I am so excited about our numbers here with our picking contest. We had a record number last year and we had such a surge in the last couple of days. Yeah. We're up to, well, above 400 players, right? Yeah. That's right. We're up around 430 now. I think last year we had about 480 of you playing and you know, the more of the merrier and it's a lot of fun. Remember, it's free to play. The FM Talk 106.5 College Pick 'Em Challenge, but much like Kamala Harris was discussing last night, we have deadlines of time that we're trying to, I'm not sure she says what a deadline is. We have to, we have to acknowledge the deadline. Yes. So the deadline, hard deadline here, you got to get in before 11 o'clock tomorrow morning. That's when the first games kick off that we have to choose from, free to play, just get in before tomorrow morning. How do you regulate that? I allow the website, runyourpool.com. They do it. Yeah. Once kick off, they say, all right, we're locked in. Okay. This is who we have. So get in. If you played last year, just go to runyourpool.com and do, you can log in or if you have to do the forgot password thing where they send your email, you know, the whole, that whole charade. Mm-hmm. Then once you're in it, ask if you want to reenter that pool. Now, if you didn't play last year, we have a different link and the instructions on our website, FMTalk106.5.com, you'd have to create an account and then just join. It's free to play and we have a massive prize package as we do every year for the end of the season. Whoever chooses the most correct games, weekend and week out through the conference championship games and we're picking against the point spread, by the way. So many of you last year had a couple issues with that. It's not who you think will win. It's will they either score enough points to cover the spread if they're the favorite, more than say, if it's a six and a half point spread, the favorite has to score and win by at least a touchdown. Yep. If it's six and a half and you choose the underdog, then yeah, you need to keep them within six. So that's how you play. Whoever at the end of the year has the most points will win from Spring Hill Ace Hardware, one of the greatest, and I hate that we can win the contest, but we can't win the prize package here at FMTalk. We've got the Blackstone on the go, portable grill, propane, outdoor griddle. Blackstones are so hot right now. Folks love them. So we've got that along with a five piece stainless steel griddle set that goes with the Blackstone and made by Blackstone, then you'll need something to keep the drinks in. And what better than a yeti roti 48? This is a Navy roller cooler and it says it can fit 76 cans. One of you earlier had a great question. What about with the ice? I'm not sure what the numbers are depending on how much ice you put in that cooler, but it still can carry around a bunch of cans. And then for everything else, you need to carry around the Yeti Camino 35 tote bag. It's a carrying bag here and it looks nice as well. This whole prize package valued somewhere right around $900 from Spring Hill Ace Hardware, and they have all kinds of great things for you to check out if you get a chance to get over to Spring Hill Ace Hardware, a huge grilling selection, whether you want a smoker or a Blackstone or a regular old propane grill, they have all these and then everything you need for your yard, Ace Spring Hill Ace is just fantastic. So one person's going to win that, have to get in before 11 tomorrow morning, and we're looking to set some records here with the number of people we have playing. 828 FM Talk 10065, Dan and Dalton, a city wide owl alert today. We've got that going on, and the text line's going crazy about that, also our own podcast. And then show actually. That's right. Tonight at 8 o'clock. It will air on this station, FM Talk 10065, 8 o'clock tonight, so a bit of a Friday college football show for you. And one of our conversations with JT Crabtree, a long time friend of mine, the voice of the South Alabama Jaguars, if you're a Jags fan, but maybe you're not as filled in on what to expect this season, he's going to take us all the way through what to expect with South Alabama, a new head coach, Major Applewhite. But that podcast's up now. So if you're interested in listening to Dan and I talk about college football for about an hour, that is at FMTalk 10065.com, the D&D CFB podcast. Okay. All right. By the way, he indicated it could be kind of a shootout at Hancock, Whitney. Jags got a new quarterback, this young guy, Gio Lopez, Gio Lopez, and that's something the bowl game, he looked terrific. And so he can run, he can throw, you know, he can really put a defense on his heels. But he said last year, North Texas had a really tough time stopping anybody, but they could score some points. Yeah. They were like the border, right? Last year. Everybody got through that North Texas defense. That's right. So we'll see if I'm hoping, you know, some folks just want to see a good game. I'd rather see the Jags blow them on out there to that week one at Hancock, Whitney. But it's going to be a fun year. And I'm looking forward to spending a lot of it with you guys here on the Texas line of phone lines at 2513430106. My plan to get out there around three or so, so maybe an hour before the game starts. Hanging around the old beer garden, down to the South end zone. That is a great spot. Great spot. That's where we saw him tear one up in the Southern Miss last year. And I love the trash talk this time of year. Textor says less than 30 hours until we get to see that garbage truck convention start every Saturday in Knoxville. No fruit sucks as good as the big morning. Good night. Well, good morning to you too, Textor. It's 830 FM Talk 1065, Dan and Dalton. Good morning. 834 FM Talk 1065 and Mobile mornings and McConnell Automotive. Keep them at top of mind if you're out there searching for maybe a nice new or pre-owned vehicle. They have a fantastic selection of both. And if you're looking for something like a work truck in a good price range and you have maybe a specific maker model in mind, they're so good at going out and finding those that fit your work needs perfectly. But also if you're looking for like a high-end kind of luxury car, a McConnell Automotive can go out and find those as well. They're always shopping around whether it's the auctions down in Orlando or they go out to Nashville or other big cities around here that have some of those cars you can't get anywhere else or that are hard to find when McConnell Automotive goes and finds them and brings them back for you. They also have a fantastic service department and body shop and they just keep adding and adding to that because they do such a great job. So check them out. You can always shop online at mcconnellautomotive.com or if you want to go and see them in person, they're in that same spot they've been in for so long on Dolphin Street just east of I-65. Dan and Dalton, FM Talk 1065, I was able to, let's try to think about this, last night when I was really tired, I watched a little bit of the Deons game that came on at seven I think. And then I wanted to hang around for the debate because I kind of gave out the interview. The interview I should say. Yeah. It would have been fun if they were debating. Yeah. But when I found it on my phone, I thought something was wrong, like this isn't anywhere near an hour, this is closer to ten minutes, eighteen minutes. Yeah. Well, they were saying it was around eighteen minutes on Twitter and online yesterday. I think it really ended up when you combine all the audio and video around twenty eight minutes is what I was seeing. And then basically the hour long program was Dana Bash introducing different portions of her interview with Kamala Harris. That's the way they did it. And Tim Walz. Yes, she said. They had different videos they'd play in between, I guess, to give context or to stretch the whole program out for an hour. Someone posted the other day Trump's interviews, his more recent interview, is not going back. But he's done just in the last two or three weeks, at least four different podcasts. One of them went for a good two, two and a half hours, another one, an hour, eleven. Each one he's doing his long form, sit down. And then of course he has the campaign events where he just speaks off the cuff so often, but just goes and goes and goes. Not that Kamala and Walz aren't doing campaign appearances themselves, but there was so much put on to this first interview because they waited so long to do an interview. They picked Dana Bash from CNN, I think you and I and a lot of the listeners can agree have been carrying that Kamala water ever since she became the official nominee for the Democratic Party. We talked about kind of her interview with Vance where she was a bit confrontational. Very. Very confrontational with JD Vance and we're wondering if she would even ask hard questions last night. So she did. She did. Yeah. But she did it almost apologetically. Right. Or she filled in context for them as she was asking the question like this is what you did, right? And this is why you did it, right? It was like that that interview last night is like the interview that I would do with a coach who's leading at halftime or who was won the game or, you know, it was very cordial. Yeah. And it was very, it was in no way was it menacing or did it, did it put him on their, you know, even when she asked tough questions and y'all can disagree. That's fine. But what I noticed was even when she was asking quite she was as uncomfortable as they were receivers. It was almost like a sorry. I have to ask this. That's what it felt like. You know, going in, CNN had certain check marks, boxes they had to check and that would be ask them the questions that people want to have asked. And I think they checked those boxes. She did ask those questions. I don't know how much knowledge ahead of time they knew that those questions would be asked. But I think if you did any sort of prep at all as the president and her nominee, you would know these questions could and likely will come at some point, whether it's about the flip flopping, which we'll have in a minute, the fracking, Green New Deal kind of stuff, or even discussions about the border. And Bidenomics, you had to know those were coming and, you know, good on CNN for putting those questions out there. I'm not sure how much of it was edited, you know, it ended up around 28 minutes. They did release the transcript CNN did as they were asked to do last night. But then, so we talked about the boxes that CNN needed to check. I really think, you know, people that don't like Kamala Harris, don't like walls are anti-Biden administration and don't want to see more of that. Sure, they had a lot to rip last night, especially some of the answers to economically where we are right now. They keep trying to put so much of what they're saying has been terrible about America on Trump. And she kept referencing the last decade. Trump was in office four years, right? You've had a Democrat president in office 12 of the last 16 years. You've held the House for a number of those years. You've held the Senate for a number of those years. So to keep putting it back on Trump, like he's the incumbent, that's what they're going with this year. It's all about Trump, which makes sense because he's the opposing candidate. But I don't think she lost. She answered well enough and didn't have any major enough brain farts that she would lose anyone who's already leaning or firmly in team Kamala. If you're on that team, you probably were pleased from last night. I think so. They came across as a couple of very decent people. Yeah. I think so. And so they did what they wanted to do and this politics, good for them. I mean, there's going to come a day when she's going to have to answer some questions. And I guess that'll come September the 10th with the ABC debate. I mean, that's going to be a sternir test for her for sure. Yeah. And more on the debate here in a little bit and what they've apparently agreed to and that ABC has confirmed. But I think last night, you know, the Harrison walls, they were just trying not to harm their campaign. And I think they did a decent job at that, even if the answers maybe weren't satisfactory for a lot of us. Now, let's go through some of this audio. One of the main things that people were paying attention to last night was the flip-flopping that Kamala has done from when she was running for president in 2019 to then becoming VP to now being the head of the Democrat ticket. One of those major things was fracking, where she clearly and plainly said back in 2019 that she would end fracking. She's not about that fracking and Danabash asked about it last night. Do you still want to ban fracking? No. And I made that clear on the debate stage in 2020 that I would not ban fracking. As vice president, I did not ban fracking. As president, I will not ban fracking. In 2019, I believe in a town hall, you said you were asked would you commit to implementing a federal ban on fracking on your first day in office and you said there's no question I'm in favor of banning fracking. So yes. So it changed in that campaign. In 2020, I mean, very clear where I stand. We are in 2024 and I've not changed that position nor will I go on forward. So that was the answer to the fracking and then not long after that, Dan had kept pushing a little bit on other changes that Harris has made in her policy positions over the recent years. She pushed politely. Yeah. She pointed. But she did keep kind of honing in on it for a second and Kamala said, listen, my policies may have changed, but my values haven't changed and I couldn't help it and I guess they only use the term dog whistle when they're talking about racial disputes or whatever. But it was almost like she was, I think in this answer, kind of a wink and nod to those who were far left of even moderate Democrat policies where she was saying, listen, what I'm saying to me, it sounded like she's saying, I've said these things so that I can get elected. But trust me, what I said, my values haven't changed. I don't know. Maybe tell me if you hear the same thing here. Dan, I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed. You mentioned the Green New Deal. I have always believed and I have worked on it that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time. We did that with the Inflation Reduction Act. We have set goals for the United States of America and, by extension, the globe around when we should meet certain standards for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions as an example. That value has not changed. So she's saying, yeah, I don't want to ban fracking. I don't want to go to war over gasoline and use of diesel and other fuel products, but we have deadlines. She's like, we are in one side of her mouth, she's saying, we're going to phase these things out. The other side of her mouth says, no, I'm not going to war against the energy industries at all. Another part of this was she was asked about Biden and I didn't, Dana didn't ask enough about why they allowed Biden to run for as long as he did or he continues to be our president to this day with the diminished mental capacity that was obvious to anyone who paid any attention when he'd be out talking to America, people are talking with the press and Kamala, whatever you think about her, she played a role in that. I mean, she's the vice president. She was part of the cover up and then she tells a sweet little story about when she was called and told that Biden would be backing her as nominee. Here, I'll give you a little too much information. Go for it. There's no such thing. I don't know if I was president. My family was staying with us and including my baby nieces. And we had just had pancakes and Auntie, can I have more bacon? Yes, I'll make you more bacon and then we were going to sit, we were sitting down to do a puzzle and the phone rang and it was Joe Biden and he told me what he had decided to do. I asked him, are you sure? And he said yes and then that's how I learned about it. Overbacon. She found out she would be making it in puzzles, bacon puzzles and pancakes. Yeah. Heck of a, like a children's book, it is also, of course, walls, Tim walls were sitting right next to her. The governor of Minnesota. I like bacon. He loves. That's a man who loves him. Some bacon. Well, his family could put down some bacon, but he was asked about some of his controversies that have arisen since he was named the VP candidate. And one of those was when he in that town hall said weapons of war like I carried, basically. And he was asked about that and he blames that silly old English language and mix up there. Here's walls when Bash asked him about that. The tree is just starting to get to know you. I want to ask you a question about how you've described your service in the National Guard. You said that you carried weapons in war, but you have never deployed actually in a war zone. A campaign official said that you misspoke. Did you? Well, first of all, I'm incredibly proud. I've done 24 years of war in uniform of this country. Equally proud of my service in a public school classroom, whether it's Congress or the governor. My record speaks for itself, but I think people are coming to get to know me. I speak like they do. I speak candidly. I wear my emotions on my sleeves. And I speak especially passionately about our children being shot in schools and around guns. So I think people know me, they know who I am. They know where my heart is. And again, my record has been out there for over 40 years to speak for itself. And the idea that you said that you were in war, did you misspeak as the campaign has said? Yeah, I said we were talking about in this case this was after school shooting the ideas of carrying these weapons of war. And my wife, the English, she's telling my grammars not always correct. But again, if it's not this, it's an attack on my children for showing love for me or it's an attack on my dog. I'm not going to do that. And the one thing I'll never do is I'll never demean another members. So you know, they had answers for everything and I don't think they lost any votes last night. I'm not sure they gained any votes either as she did keep talking the word that kept coming over and over again. We've invested in the economy by doing this. We've invested. We've invested. Yes. There's been big investments. Trust us. The taxpayers know how much money the federal government has invested in the American people. That's taxpayer money. We all end up paying for that somehow. And she really wasn't pressed at all on how she plans to pay for it. Now, listen, Donald Trump, he's a spending fool as well. But he normally tells you how he plans to make that up. Right? He gives you the whole plan. He serves on imports and many other things that he's discussed. But the capital gains tax didn't come up at all last night. She did talk some about price gouging or what some people have said. She wants to put price controls on groceries. That did come up a little bit. But she talked so much about child tax credits and first time home buyers tax credits. And it's just all this money we're going to put out there. And both campaigns should be talking about economics is difficult, right? It's a very tricky thing. But the goal to set should be very simple. The thing that would make it better on all Americans would be to truly reduce inflation. Get us back to paying prices for groceries that we paid for the way we were paying for them four years ago. Get childcare prices back down to what they were years ago. That would help way more than a $5,000 or $6,000 tax credit when you have another child. It's just focus on reducing the inflation. Quit with all these handouts. That's what's gotten us in this place, gotten us here in this first place. Well, and even Trump speaking last night, there's also an elephant in the room that people would rather not talk about Donald Trump will speak on it from time to time. That is the threats of a larger war. That's a real situation. That's something that should be campaigned on. How are you going to fix these situations in Ukraine and Russia and the Middle East and of course, just keeping your eye on chatter? What's your plan there for that? Not only has she not talked about it, the perception is she doesn't really have a plan as far as that stuff goes. Well, Israel came out last night. Russia Ukraine did not. But Israel, her answer was basically, we're going to keep pushing for a ceasefire, which is the same thing the Biden administration has been saying for a year now. And also when it comes to Dana Dainabash, check the boxes, I guess you could say. I think it was more of a matter of tone as opposed to a longer sit down with JD Vance. And I think that sit down was longer because his answers were pretty substantial. He was answering them not off some sort of... He knew what he was talking about. Maybe I guess JD Vance can rub some people the wrong way. That's personal. The guy's bright as hell. And I just thought, you know, when you walk into a room, you can tell right away if you're a welcome guest or an adversary of that person. It's the atmosphere. And I'd think that JD Vance quickly, it was very adversarial, her conversation with him, as opposed to Kamala and Waltz, she made it... It sounded like ladies during book club sipping on a little wine. The story about the puzzle and the bacon and the nieces and all that's fine. But everything was so easy going, even when she asked tougher questions, they were not asked in the toughest possible way. Vance, she was very convicted, she was going to kind of get that guy. It was pretty hostile. But I will say, the bacon story, the white walls were saying that's relatable to a lot of people. Yeah, I agree. I mean, I thought they came off just as they would have wanted, you know? Exactly. Yeah. 852 with Dan and Dalton. Mobile mornings and FM talk 10065, Jeff Portia was on the way. He'll be joining Jeff in hour number two and then hour number three, the usual Friday guest, State Senator Chris Elliott joins the show. A couple of texts on Kamala and Walls last night, Monty says Kamala will lose because her constituents just found out that she feeds bacon to children. That's right. Among a certain portion of the left, feeding bacon to anyone is a serious offense, not allowed to do that. And let's see Joel says that interview was so freaking staged, it's not funny. And Sean asking what was up with the set, he said Kamala looked short and very unpresidential and then finishes it with a Trump text, sad with the exclamation point. Cindy says, I didn't watch it, sounds like it was more of a promotional ad for them than an actual interview, but it felt like, well they give Trump advanced the same opportunity. I think so. Appreciate the text this morning, 2513430106, this story caught my eye. So Ford and you know, these, these auto companies put out patents for nearly any and everything, any kind of decent idea they have or bad idea, they'll go ahead and patent it so they can make big money off of it if it hits. Yeah. Ford Motor Company recently filed a patent that is raising some eyebrows and sparking debates about privacy and surveillance. The patent is systems and methods for detecting speed violations. And they say it has the potential to revolutionize traffic law enforcement, basically it utilizes a sophisticated combination of onboard cameras and sensors. And then in your normal, you know, drive around Ford, it's monitoring the speed of surrounding vehicles in real time. If a car is detected exceeding the speed limit, then this other Ford vehicle will capture a high resolution image of the speeding vehicle, record the speed, time, and precise location, compiles it into a comprehensive report, then transmits it directly to police. How do we fit? It's not in action. Now we feel about Ford filing that patent. The Ford F-150 Tattletail is what it is. It's a 859 jet port next.
