There will be no personal nor direct attacks on anyone. And I would ask that you please try to keep down the loud cheering and the clapping. There will be no booing and no unruly behavior. With that, this is painful and it will be for a long time. Baby, that's right. This man knows what's up. After all, these are a couple of high-stepping turkeys. And you know what to say about a high stepper? No step too high for a high stepper. This is Midday Mobile with Sean Sullivan on FM Talk 1065. Well, Sean's a tough guy. I mean, I think everybody knows that. You know, Sean, he took some licks, he hangs in there. Yeah, what's wrong with the beer we got? I mean, the beer we got drink pretty good, don't it? Did you hear what I said? So this is a great council. I had no doubt about them. That doesn't suck. If you don't like it, you're bad. Last question. Were you high on drugs? Last question, kiss my ****. Talk 1065 and Midday Mobile. Glad to have y'all along on this fantastic Wednesday. And my favorite place to do a radio show, people already knew before I talked about it yesterday on the show. My favorite place to do a radio show is not in the opulent and gold gilded FM Talk 1065 studios. It's here aboard the Mighty A at Battleship Memorial Park. We are out at the battleship today. And it's a lot of fun to do this Scuttlebutt radio network. For some reason, the Marines take over. You know, the density and Dalton and I can talk about this because Dalton's got Air Force. You know, I've got Army. We're about to talk to Army here as well. We have some Naval and Marines adjunct to the Navy. We have more Marines that hang around our station than should be allowed. I don't know about that. They haven't broken anything yet, but we're going to watch for that as well. But the Scuttlebutt radio network takes over at one o'clock. All right. And if I say that, let's bring in Major Janet Cobb and talk about this. When you let the Marines on this ship, you know, Marines go on a ship. Y'all take them places. But usually when the Marines are out of the ship, they break stuff. Well, you know, right. I mean, that's their job. The brothers and sisters are the best public relations society going. There's no doubt about it. And they've had to because, you know, over history, Congress has taken on the Marine Corps. There have been coalitions that wanted to end the Marine Corps. And we don't do without our Marines. We love it. We just have a high density of around you and I. It's a, you know, with Army. But, you know, we in our orbit here. I like the battleship because, you know, we still have our Marine compartment down below when-- Is that called a brig? Well, that's Tom. Yeah, that's Tom Plaxon's place. But, you know, we've got the nice plaque down there from the Sea Going Marines Association back in the day when Marines did deploy on warships regularly as detachments, as they did on Alabama during World War II. The Marine Detachment from BB-60 were some of the first boots on the ground in Japan, as our theater film says, in over 700 years. So they weren't the first, but they were among the first wind. So the detachment, the Marines that were on the Alabama. And the blue jackets, the sailors as well. So yeah, yeah. Good stuff. And by the way, people who don't follow the show, you do the show, understand that this comes from my love of the Marines. That's why I give them constant grief. So with the rest of y'all, get where we're going. General, good to see you. Thanks for having us back out. Good to see you, Sean Sullivan. Glad to have you here. What's happening with the battleship right now is we head into-- I mean, we'll wake up in a couple of days. It's going to be September. Yeah, September mourn, as Bill Diamond would say. We had a great summer for the first time since, I guess, 2016-17. City of Mobile brought fireworks back out here. Because they're doing that super baseball heroes part down down that it's just going to be fabulous. Had a great crowd out here. Had about 8,000 people for the fireworks and-- You had about half that many out in boats, too. Yeah, we did, absolutely. It's what we like. And people can get on the starboard side and look in the distance and see City of Daphne and City of Fair Hope in the far distance. See, they're fireworks, too. So it's a nice thing. Now that night, the public does not come aboard. That's a night, traditionally, years ago, the commission members would come with their families and employees and their families. So we had some heartburn about a few folks about not being able to get aboard. But it's just a special night. And we enjoyed having them back. Yeah, it was good to have them back as we look forward to the fall schedule. And I want to say, before we go any further, on the summer schedule, one thing too that's back and seems to be so popular is the summer camps that go on. Our education department was very busy with our summer academies. Summer Academy. And just had a great group of kids. And we've got a small group of young men that were part of the girls, too. But these young guys, some of them have a repeat campers from Tennessee and some from Texas. They formed a bond. They are visiting back and forth. And one of the young men, I think from Texas, aged out of the program. And he was just heartbroken. So we're exploring some things to maybe do an older camp for these kids that want to stay involved and a great time, some STEM, some history, some physical activity, a lot of great learning. They enjoyed it. And in general, these things book up. So I'm just saying that now, if y'all want to put a note in your phone for next year, because a lot of times it'll be June or something. We're out here talking about it. And heck, by then it's been open for a little bit. So people need to get ahead of this. Not only that, but we do a winter anchor academy. We do one in the spring, too. It helps parents that want to have something for their kids to do. After that first blush of freedom, and the kids are looking for something to do. So yeah, keep that in mind as well. Are those listed with the website? Probably on the website, I'd have to check. But if not, they will be soon. All right, y'all checked. I mean, believe me, this is really cool stuff. Go check out what we're talking about. Also, what's coming up here in the short term at the battleship? Short term first. Let me introduce our friends that are listening to Hannah Nelson. She's our new director of communications. Our friend Ashley Milney. Her heart was in education. And in July, she let us know she was going to leave to go join Mobile County Public School System. And she's teaching fourth grade. And she and Hannah are connecting by Zoom and by email to kind of do a transition. And Hannah's here with us. And Hannah, welcome. Glad to have you here. I'm glad to be here. Thank you. She's a graduate of the University of South Alabama. All right, go Jags. Yeah, go Jags. And she just jump right in and doing a great job. You know, Hannah, we had a conversation before you came in here too about what this park and the ship means to so many people. And you know, talk about the history of, you know, old guys like me, let alone, she started talking about the number of veterans families that had the relation like we've always talked about as, you know, we've lost so many that served here on the Alabama. But now we're looking at their children and their children's children and their relation with the ship. That's right. They're still involved a number of them through the associate membership with the crewman's association. And in September on the 26th crewman, Ben T. Van, one of the very few crewmen left alive. That's a member of our association. We'll travel from the Midwest with a friend of his. He's 99, I believe, and we'll visit the ship and we'll let you know about that. We're going to, of course, Hannah will be working with the media to come out. He wants to come see the teak deck. We sent him a piece of the teak last year because at that age, you just never know. And he fell ill earlier this year and had to postpone his trip that was planned. But he'll be here in September. He'll probably be the last surviving crewman to walk both the old original and the new deck. That's pretty, it's pretty special. Speaking, yeah, me too. And speaking because I can just look at the text. I haven't opened it, but I can look at it. The questions as always, especially looking at forward to Christmas gift time. Teak deck items for sale right now. We still have them and we had a teak deck completion ceremony on June 20th. And the governor came down. She's honorary chair of all boards and commissions, including the battleship commission. So she did the main remarks that day. It was a very brief ceremony. We're glad to have Governor Ivy here. And she made her way into the gift shop before anybody knew she was there, whipped out her credit card and bought some teak. So we've got some photographs of Kim Howett, one of our gift shop employees, selling the governor some teak. I said, did you try to upsell the governor? She said, no, she doesn't work that way. Oh, come on. The governor knew exactly what she wanted. So we appreciate her doing that. It was great to have her here. That was a great day. And then upcoming things, living history crew this weekend. Mechanical issues will keep the planes from flying. We'll do our other activities as well. Okay. And of course, we'll hope to have them back for the October. And we do like we like to let people know when we know that. The only reason they don't fly is if we have mechanical difficulty with it. It starts safe for the pilots or bad weather. So but we but we'd like to let the public know because they may change their plans. They might say, gosh, we'd really like to come on the plane. So there's so we when we know we put that information out. That's good. And think of mechanical while these these are not Japanese zeros, but they are what what year are the planes that these pilots. Maybe 40s, 50s. They're Soviet Yak. Yeah, Soviet Yaks. And some other different airframes too. So when you all have a problem getting a part on your late model vehicle, these people when if there's mechanical, if they're going, well, we don't have that part in stocks, sir. Yeah, exactly. So these these are hobbyists and pilots will fly anything, I think. So we're we're grateful they spent spend their time with us when they are able to do so. Looking around to once again pulling the parking lot, here we are on a late August Wednesday schools back in. People are off the summer schedule, hadn't started with fall travel. And I counted five five plus Alabama, so six different license plates, state license plates when I pulled in here. This is on a Wednesday general. We have been very pleased with the post school return. Because I figured that slows down. I mean, it's a Wednesday after schools back in and here I am. There's all these people, not just us from here local, but people from all over coming in. A lot of people are from the Midwest and other parts of the country and their school systems. They may still be coming back around this time, but we've also seen an influx in our visitors from overseas. You can when I was in the army, I was stationed in Holland for eight months and I ran into some guys the other day from Holland, Germany. I mean, there are people from all over the world that are here. It's pretty cool stuff. So y'all when you're around here, welcome people that are, you know, other Americans and people from foreign countries here on the battleship. And I didn't tell you, you've got to learn a lot of different languages to work here. So you work on that, okay? Okay, you're working on that. All right. When it's easier today, they get an app on your phone general. Yeah. You can talk in it and it spits it out the other side. Absolutely. Absolutely. In the other language, like Star Trek stuff. It always asks you this too, before you go to the news. While we would want people to be here throughout the day for living history, but I always ask you the pro tip as an executive director. People want to see, you know, be here for when the main part, you know, what time should they get here? What time should they try to get parked by? Usually the crowds are bigger if the airplanes are flying and people know that. Right. Usually about 11, 30 or 12. Give them time to walk around the ship, go through the aircraft of the in the submarine. The deck drills and everything start at one o'clock. And then that's when those activities kick off. Good stuff, General, thanks for having us back out. Good to see you, brother. And Hannah, good to meet you. Good to meet you. And we'll be talking to you a bunch going forward. Brand new face here on the mighty a coming right back more midday mobile. We are live. I'm for the mighty a here at battleship Memorial Park. At some point too, I see Marines have entered the building. So I want to try to keep the equipment working until they destroy it. Come up and just see the Marines. Yeah, the Marines are in here. We got it. We got a guard from them. All right, coming right back. Oh, Cameron Smith joins us about 12 30. And we'll take you to the first interview for Kamala Harris. Oh, yeah, it's a duet. We'll talk about that coming up next. This is midday mobile with Sean Sullivan on FM talk. One oh six five. All right, so welcome back FM talk one oh six five and midday mobile. We are live aboard the mighty a the USS Alabama here at battleship Memorial Park. Love to do radio shows here. Another place I go when I travel the few places I do travel to do radio shows is to go see my buddy Ron at the wheelbait coins and find jewelry. I'm going to do it telephonically now and say hey, what's up, Ron? Hey, I'm doing so, Sean. Let everybody know we have a there. It's on there. I'm not getting on back down the line. Right now 10 out silver bars and 100 out silver bars. I'm doing it with a dollar chin over spot because I bought a bunch of them. So somebody wants a good deal on silver and it is down a little bit today. Trade the rock $29 and 34 cents. So a good time to pick up the stack and on silver while supplies last on that. Yeah, we talked about this the other day about how you know, you talk about making precious metals ahead part of a portfolio there. But just watching this just just the raw price of it. When I first got my education from you and started getting silver, it was so y'all can take into when Ron says well, it's down to 29 bucks. It was 15 16 somewhere in there and I may have watched. So watch it double. Yeah, I mean, it's the economy and it tends to never go back down to the lowest point. Then of course, never is a tough word to say, but usually it creates up the ladder like the last recession. It got up to 45 dollars, 46 dollars. Then afterwards it dropped all the way down to 20. So I cut it in half, but it's been hanging in the 20th since then. So I mean, it's still the stable. Once again, if the silver is doing its job, that the commodity is doing its job as a as a hedge, you really shouldn't be looking at it as an investment. You should be looking at something if the dollar was to crash and all your money and your savings account. Not to disappear, but maybe lost 10 or 20% because of inflation. Most of the time that silver will gain that 10 to 20% and offset your losses and keep you on the even keel with your cash and your other investment. That's what we're looking for. All right, to get the education, not just the real deal with silver and gold and other precious metals, but the education is what I'd like to point out from Ron. Tell folks how to come out and to see you talk about precious metals. Yeah, we're looking at 22.04 government street and mid-town mobile just down the street from Little Bar Catholic Church. They can find us on the web at bovialbakecoins.com or they can just like they give us a call to shop 25172559. Hey, thank you, Ron. You're welcome, Sheldon. All right, there goes Ron from Mobile Bay Coins and find jewelry. And then we'll talk some about this with Cameron Smith when he joins us in a little bit. But finally, hey, you've been asking for it, right? I guess that candidate Vice President of the United States candidate for President Kamala Harris would do an interview, right? Would do an interview. She's now we're over a month since Joe Biden has stepped down in the coronation that I guess wasn't official until the DNC event. But the coronation happened back there in, well, 30 days ago back in July. So what about that? It's time for, well, it's time for an interview. Don't you, when you hear that a candidate for an office is going to do an interview, not an impromptu thing on the floor of a convention, but they're going to do an interview. It's the candidate, not the candidate plus one. You know, when you when you send out, so I've been doing this for 30 years in radio, when I send out something to do an interview with somebody, I send out for, you know, James Smith or John Smith, hey, you want to come in and talk about something. Now, if there's a reason to have multiple people, we do that. But it's not a plus one, you know, when you get like something, you go into a wedding, it's you plus a guest, a plus one. It's not that way an interview, but I guess it is in the world of the Harris campaign. Story is, of course, there will be an interview with Kamala Harris, but joining her will be VP Governor Tim Wolls. Yeah, the Minnesota governor, you know, that guy, he's every guy. He's football coach, right? He's that guy. Let's do that. I wish I, if I was in studio, and I'll do this again, maybe later this week, because I was thinking about this. When they show up, will this be the first presidential candidate first interview where they bring their emotional support politician with them? Now, I've heard people talk about the emotional support politician as the running mate will show up for the interview. I guess to fill in for when Vice President Harris doesn't have an answer to a question, or I don't know if they'll be there just to lend support by being there. But I also thought about this. Have we, are we looking at a new thing here and duet interviews? When I first heard this announcement, I guess it was late last night, that this interview would go down here coming up on Thursday night. I guess the first song in my head was islands in the stream. And I'm thinking this is going to be like Kenny and Dolly doing this interview. You've got Dana Bash, which Dalton multiple times this morning said, the very down the middle neutral, not leaning so far to the left, she falls over Dana Bash. If y'all understand sarcasm, that's an example of that. Dana Bash, who attacked JD Vance in his interview, didn't ask one non-tilted question. So Dana Bash is going to do the interview, because that's right. You know, why not? She's a fair arbiter. I mean, give me a break. So we got Dana Bash doing the interview. But even with the friendliest of friendly, left-leaning journal interview, media personality, doing the interview, she brings walls with her. So they can, I guess both, you know, somebody said, "Oh, it's going to be two on one." And then I think I heard Jeff today say it's going to be three on one. Yeah, it is. It's going to be Dana Bash agreeing with walls and agreeing with Harris. Everything about the Republicans is bad. So the one interview to break the ice of not for over a month, somebody who wants to be president of the United States, not doing a sit-down interview, the first one they do is going to be a duet. And it's going to be, can you use the word "anchored by," I guess? Dana Lash, so that's a, yes. And Jim says the taped interview that can be edited and scripted. Yeah, that's going to be interesting as well, right? So it is taped. It's going to be, it's an air live, right? So they're going to pre-tape it, then they're going to run it like it's live, but they have admitted their CNN is not hiding the fact that they're pre-taping it. But you're right, Jim. Who knows what goes on in editing? You know, I can take, I can, you can, you can read the night before Christmas, right? You read the night before Christmas, I can record it. And if you give me, you know, a six pack of course light or four of those big ones, the 16 ounce ones, and a few hours, I can make you say all kinds of things. Editing the audio, the inverse can be true as well. You can make people sound smarter than they are or let's say more on the subject than they might be in the real interview. So that's going on. And so yeah, famous duets, I don't know. Well, maybe we can mix this together. So it's going to be Harrison Waltz. Is it the new Islands in the stream? Is it the new Endless Love? Is it the new I Got You Babe? That's what we need to do. We need to air the audio if they both talk. Harrison Waltz talk, we can play I Got You Babe in the background. I think, I think we give Waltz shares part and give Harris Sonny's part. I think I'm just working, workshopping it. Hey, we'll talk about this with Cameron Smith from AL.com. That and a whole lot more coming up next right here on Midday Mobile. This is Midday Mobile with Sean Sullivan on FM Talk 1065. All right, welcome back. Midday Mobile and we are live aboard the USS Alabama. And coming up at one o'clock. It's got about radio network. Tom and the crew take over. But for now we'll be checking your text at 3430106. All right, let's see here. Yeah, it's some different ideas for duets. I just think once the once this interview airs, once interview airs, then we'll then we can remix it. I'm really stuck. I mean, Islands in the stream was the first thing that came to my mind in duets. But I got You Babe. Come on, we played that in the background. You got Harris, you got Waltz. I got I got You Babe. All right, David says, why can't CNN at least give me give me an interview of Harris, give the interview of Harris to Kaitlyn Collins. At least I can watch a pretty girl from Alabama while listening to the propaganda. Prattville's Pride, Kaitlyn, and I guess fellow alum of the University of Alabama. And we have two things in common, Alabama, the state and Alabama, the school. And then after that, well, and we both work in media. Okay, three things, that's about it. Let's see. Dirt Digger says, the song that comes to my mind with the interview on CNN is Queens, another one bites the dust. But no, we need duets. I need y'all working. The idea here is duets, right? Like, because I mean, they are showing up just like Jim said, or a taped interview. I mean, that Donald Trump doing three hour podcast with no edits that run live. The one thing in the, what's the word the fanciest use? The curated interview. Here's the curated interview that's going to be pre-taped and edited. I imagine it. I don't know for sure, but I can only imagine there'll be some, some polish put on that piece of furniture for the interview. So it's going to, it's going to run. You've got a nothing even close to a fair arbiter there in a journalist, right? Dana Bash, come on. So it's doing the interview. You've got, you got Harrison Waltz and together, to me, it's so very, very odd. That this is what we're left with here. This is the bet. And who knows where they're going to do something, you know, in the future? I'm not exactly sure. Let's see. Oh, you know what? Thank you for that suggestion. Shane and Mobile said Kid Rock and Cheryl Crowe's picture. Chris says whiskey lullaby. Those are funny. I don't think anything still is good. I think right now I win, unless you can knock me off. Right now, the duet that I want playing in the background, when they run the answers from Harris and Waltz would be. I told you early on, I thought Islands in the stream, but I got U-Babe by Sonny and Cher. I think it's the best. Let's bring on my buddy Cameron Smith from AL.com and the Triptych Foundation to talk more about this. So what do you think? I mean, I got U-Babe running in the background. What would you go with? I would go with just the two of us. It's a winner. It is. Okay, I've been knocked off the block. Yes, just the two of us does beat. I got U-Babe. That's fantastic. So when we get the edited interview here, then we can run that in the background. I mean, have you heard of something like this? Is this not strike you? And you and I are, you know, I think pretty fair arbiters. We catch arrows for it sometimes from people on the right, but we're pretty fair, guys. To me, this is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in weeks. Well, look, the vice president has struggled with being off the cuff. Governor Walsh is a football coach. So he's going to be there to help her out. If she's down in the fourth quarter and we got to kick the field go, he's basically the placeholder and that's why he's there. I mean, this is ridiculous. I mean, a picture that I didn't think about the football angle, you know, when you and I both played high school, you probably way better than me. But, you know, a coach would take me by the helmet, right, by the face mask and begin me a little lecture of how we were failing on the defensive line. You know, a picture like Walsh, grab it. Harris, like, come here, come here. Yeah, when we go back in there with last year's what we're going to do. Well, I've got, I just filed a column and I've come up with the campaign slogan. I like realistic campaign slogans. And the way I describe Harris Walls is hope and change hods in the basement. And I think that's, that's what Democrats are doing. They're recycling the two prior successful campaigns at the same time. So we've got hope and change in the basement. And that's what Harris is hoping will work for her. Well, yeah, they, yeah, they brand this as joy. And you think about, about, you know, you talk about hope and you're talking about the Obama campaign. Not, I've said this much to the chagrin of many that watching former President Obama speak at the DNC, guys, I would say he's, if not the best, one of the best orders of our time. And he's just, even though I disagree with everything he's saying, he's just fantastic at it. But when they came out and they talked about hope and all that back then, the Obama campaign also had some meat to it. Now, how many things they lived up to, that's politics, but they had some meat to it. This one is just joy, right? The Harris Walls campaign says, joy, whatever. I mean, inflation's up, but it's joy. You know, we're falling and standing globally. We're going to be involved in two wars that are not directly in the interesting United States. That's joy. Anything that you, but it's joy. So if you don't like those things, then you must not be a joyful person. Yeah, and this incidentally is a brilliant campaign, because I'll go even further on the heels of the DNC. That's the column that I wrote. It's sort of a summation of what I saw. I actually heard President Obama and Michelle Obama speak. And I was like, well, wait a minute. I agree with them. Like, I want us to have mutual affection for one another. And it was all these general, big themes that are very easy to agree with. In fact, it's kind of hard not to if you're an American. And there was very little substance and even stresses closing remarks. She talked about her time as a prosecutor, but she just sort of ignored the fact that she's vice president. And that's the strategy. It's very clearly, let's paint a rosy picture, bring Americans to the table, contrast clearly with Trump and Vance that are harsh and divisive and negative. And that's true. I mean, Trump goes around talking about how America is awful, and it's going away, and it's terrible, and we should be afraid. And they just said, no, we're going to go the other direction, because we don't want to talk about immigration, inflation, foreign wars. They're going to talk about, well, Trump's a big meaning, and he's bad. And Vance is like junior meaning. And therefore, we have a vision for the future that's positive. And I'm telling you folks, we ignore this at our own peril, because it was indeed a successful campaign for Obama. And Harris is simply just ignoring her track record and saying, let's be friendly and folksy, let's be big tent, let's pull everybody in. And if you look at it, it feels like it feels very much like hope and change, but we can't find Harris, which feels more like Biden-basement strategy. And I think it's a dangerous combination for Trump and Vance. Okay, so Cameron, the other part of this, when they do talk about it, whether it's a little clip from Harris or it's the Democrats at all that come out, it sounds like I've been saying this for a couple of weeks, and especially after the convention for the Dems, was that they're running against Trump as if Trump was the incumbent. When they go through and talk about the things they're going to fix, I do this, the emperor has no close moment where I go, y'all are the ones in charge. This is a campaign when you're the party out of power. That's what you do. You go, well, look, right now, how have the last few years been for you? They hadn't been good to elect us, whichever party that is. We're going to come in and fix these things, the other guys did. They're the stinking people in power. Yes, 12 of the last 16 years, Democrats have controlled the White House, and that's what's shocking is the four years that Trump's in office, if it were 12 years. This is what's amazing. And we've seen it that Biden was running this anti-Trump. Everybody's going to die if he gets reelected campaign. And it was negative versus negative. And Biden even continued this on Monday at the DNC. He shouted at America for his entire speech. And it felt like a lecture, and it was a grave warning. But by the time we got to Friday with Harris, she spoke for, I believe, 37 minutes. It was very positive. Very, yes, we can. We can do this together. Hey, I'm here for everybody. Hey, if you're conservative, you should come into the fold. We may not agree on everything, but hey, come join my team. And that messaging is shifted in a pronounced way to form that contrast against Trump. And I think based on past instances, I think it can be effective. And I think we've really missed the mark because Harris has given the gas, the future unburdened by what has been that she said that all the time. She's given to making some of these mistakes. I'll tell you what, the Harris I saw on Friday was very disciplined, very welcoming, inviting. And she's got her act together. And I think it's just saying she's going to take this on her own. It's not a good campaign strategy for Republicans. No, I'll agree with you. I will point it in before I get the next item here that at the inaugural speech for President Biden, he did talk about unity and he's bringing everybody together. And dude, he hadn't left that cold pulpit before they started going after conservatives. He was like, oh, you know, I've won. And now it's about bringing everybody together in unity. And I remember I used to use the unity quote in the months after he got into office and said, was that unity? Was that unity? You know, come on. Don't believe what they tell you here. Now I'm going to ask you the other part of this story. And is there a story to it? The RFK Effect, which is interesting, by the way, to some states now that wouldn't, that were challenged to get RFK on the ballot. Now say they won't get them off the ballot. I wonder how political that is. But the RFK Effect, what do you think this does? If anything? So I think it's wise for Trump to open up the big tent too in the sense of, hey, bringing RFK in, bringing Tulsi Gabbard in. I think that this was largely baked into the cake. I really don't think RFK had a huge following. And I think it was mostly folks that were enamored with his anti-vaccine stamps. So those folks, maybe some of them come to Trump. But at the end of the day, I think a lot of them are probably already there. What I'm a little bit concerned about is a conservative, is RFK is not a conservative on environmental issues, on life issues. I can go down the list in areas where he's a significant outlier. And while Tulsi Gabbard has aided, she's a liberal. That's what she is. And for Trump to say, well, you know what, guys, y'all are going to be part of my transition team and picking out the next folks that will leave. I think a lot of conservatives should raise their hand and say, wait, I have questions. What are we doing here? Because I like the idea of having a big tent and bringing them into the fold. But the idea of putting them in positions where they're picking the people that staff up these agencies, that's kind of insane. And I'm wondering what's going on here. Okay, but I wonder, and I thought the same thing, driving down the road the other day, what if in a situation, so like RFK Junior goes in as head of HHS or something like that? And you compartmentalize. So you come in, you're the executive, right? So you're conservative. But you put these people in this big tent, but you're going to put them in cabinet positions where the things you just delineated, which are true, right? I tell people that we're always enamored with RFK Junior, which I think he's interesting. But I mean, I'm like, he's liberal, liberal, liberal on these things. But if you put him in a position where his reach is only going to be about these things that Trump agrees with or Trump voters agree with, right? You put him in HHS. He's not going to be making foreign policy. He's not going to be head of the EPA. You know, you've got him in a position where he is boxed in by the definition of the job. And you could do the same thing with others. Yeah, I mean, yeah, my problem is, I think that he's actually quite liberal. And, you know, for example, HHS is it pertains to abortion in some of those things. Like that's actually not a place you could firewalling. And so when you try to break it down, my concern is, tell me that. Even if that's the argument, Trump should come out and say, hey, I'm thinking about him in these contexts. And so a welcoming him into the tent. But the way it's presented right now from the Trump campaign, from Trump himself is, hey, this is a guy helping me figure out who these cabinet folks should be. And I agree with that. That's not good. That's not good. That's a lot of sense. We need to be honest. Yeah, that's true. That's true. I just wonder if in the future you can have a situation where you have, like, you pick people that make a tent bigger. And I'm getting some feedback here from the station. There we go. That you could box people and say, OK, this person in this slice of what this party represents, whatever that big tent is, could be put in this position. They can't affect things outside of that. I don't know if you could get that narrow in those decisions. Just a thought ahead. Cameron, tell folks, say what to read. What we're talking about right now, your AL.com stories.
