[MUSIC] Man, you know what it smells like, Mikey? It smells like football. >> I smell pigskin. >> I smell, it's in the air. I smell chicken wings. I smell leaves, I smell fires, I smell. >> Pictures of beer. >> Pictures of beer, fire ball, fire ball, if you will. If that's kind of like your thing, it's definitely ours. I smell thurs and I football, kick off. >> Friday night football. >> Tomorrow night, we are, we guys are mid, it's just a fact. It's official football is back, let's fucking go. >> Wait, it is open. >> Man, does it feel good, and it's weird, because it feels like we almost never left. I don't know why, it just kind of feels like we just, we're just here with you guys. So, man, well, we are actually here, we're back again. >> Episode 222, 222, and it's super fans, it's Staley and Stoner, it's that guy, Staley. >> Yes, sir. >> Everyone have another way. How are you doing, buddy? You ready for the season? >> I am so unbelievable, dude. >> Listen, man, we got football, NFL football starting this week, we have college football kick off last week. >> Yep. >> We'll save that for, that was a lot, we'll break that down. >> Yeah, we'll break that down. >> We got heavy NFL, we got to go hard NFL. >> Yeah, because you know, what do we have this week? >> We got all of our, you know, final predictions of the year, including the Player Awards, playoff teams in Super Bowl, but we are finishing it with our first of the 2024 season. >> What do we call it again? >> What do we call it again? >> Staley and Stoner, six. >> That's what it is. >> Boy, the S&S, six, if you have it. >> S. >> S. >> S. >> Tastes good, he's good, sounds good. >> Yeah. >> All right, well, if you don't know where, now you'll about, you'll about to be, no, you'll about to know. >> Yeah. >> You about to. And stuff. We are on every platform, Radio.com, iHeartRadio, iTunes, Google Play, all of them, Spotify. >> Yeah. >> Another one. So if you want to find us, you can't. So just do your best and it won't take long. So we love you, we appreciate you for being here, it is time, it is kickoff for football. And we're going to jump right in. So. >> Without further ado, want to go into the awards? >> Let's do it, man. This is going to be a short and sweet episode, but it's going to be the nice appetizer for you guys to really get into, you know, into the mode of, we have football back tomorrow night. Let's do it. >> Kicking it off. Let's go. First award is come back, player of the year. Who do you have, Mr. Staley? >> I, there was a lot of ways I could go on this one. I thought about going Aaron Rodgers because I just know that some people are really going to be testing. >> As did I. >> But ultimately, I decided to go with a former division rival of his, and that is one Kirk Cousins. >> There it is. >> I'm going, I'm going old turkey chains, man, coming in as the Falcons, new starting quarterback. >> Yes, sir. >> If he is healthy, he's got some pretty good weapons there, not as good as he had with the Vikings, but good defense there, great offensive line. He's going to be protected. He's going to have time. I expect them to have a really good year. And as you know, I have them winning their division and hosting a playoff game. So it's hard not to go with my boy, Kirkie. >> You and I are in lockstep, sir. It felt too easy to say Aaron Rodgers. He will have a very, very good year this year, and I may or may not talk about him again later. We'll see. But I'm in complete lockstep, Kirk Cousins will have a, it helps so much too that he's in one of the worst conferences, or excuse me, divisions in the league, and they also have a really easy schedule. >> Yeah. >> So Atlanta, Kirk Cousins, he will go off and yeah, that's, I mean, yeah, I'm kind of here here for it. Like it's just, it's interesting because both Kirk and Aaron are coming off on Achilles, but both should are in are in really, really impressive offenses. So yeah, that's, that's, that's the, that's the one. >> All right. We are one for one in agreement here. And I. >> Do you smell two for two? >> I feel like it should be two for two. I think we might bro, offensive rookie of the year. >> Yeah. It is Marvin Harrison Jr. for the Arizona Cardinals. >> No. >> Offensive rookie of the year? >> Yeah. >> You're going to go Caleb? >> Of course. >> Okay. Well, you know what? After he gets, you know, injured halfway through the season and, you know, they have to put in Tyson Badgett and he gets them to the playoffs, then okay, that's why it won't be Caleb. I'm go Marvin Harrison, he will have to be dynamic as fuck and be immediately callers number one. I can easily see him going for 800,000 yards and 10 touchdowns. So there it is. So yeah, apparently we're not going to go to. >> We're not going to go for two for two. And it's obviously Caleb Williams, because even if, even if he doesn't live up quite too well. >> I mean, I almost would Drake May instead of Caleb. >> Even if he doesn't live up to the expectations that the world is laying on this young man's shoulders. I still think that he has a chance to do something this year that no bears quarterback in history has ever done. I'm not saying he'll do both. I'm not saying he'll do either, but I think it is totally within grasp of him throwing for over 4,000 yards or throwing 30 touchdowns this year, given the weapons he has around him. And when you break a record that your team has never done before as the number one overall pick, I think it's, I, like, I mean, it's, it's not fun to pick him because if you go and look at Vegas's odds, I mean, he's like minus 500 and everyone else is like plus a thousand and more. So it's, it's not fun to pick him, but it's going to be Caleb Williams. >> We shall see. Let's flip the script and go to the other side of the field. Let's go defense, defense of rookie of your buddy who you got. >> This one was much tougher. >> Me too. >> There's a lot of guys who I really think could pipe up and, you know, obviously there's some guys that maybe you don't even really know about that could, could step into this, but I'm going a little off the beaten path here, just a little. I think he is the, he has the sixth highest odds according to Vegas. That's Jared verse with the Rams. >> Now, CCC, I considered it. >> Yeah, I just think, you know, the Rams played really well last year defensively. Obviously they lose Aaron Donald, but they did really well with their draft picks and up front specifically, they were, they were strong last year. I think Jared verse is going to step in. It's going to be seamless and he's going to be just a holacious, you know, first year edge rusher. I could see, I'm not calling anything like crazy, but I could see in the neighborhood of maybe nine to 10 sacks this year. >> Okay, yeah, that was. >> By the way, I think five of the last six defensive rookies of the year have been edge rushers. >> Yeah, it feels like that's just like the sexy, like easy, easy position to pick. I'm going to go corner though, bro. And I'm going with my boy, Terry and Arnold from the Detroit Lions. And here's why. Carlton Davis, you bring over from the box, who is easily one of the better corners, shut down corners in the league, very physical. So I think he'll be paired up with teams number ones, which means Terry won't be against the two or three. And I think quarterbacks will definitely want to test them because he's a rookie. There's a problem. Dude's a fucking monster, he's physical, he can cover for days, he's not. He won't be in any way nervous or, you know, leery to take chances. Now that might bite him in the butt a couple times, for sure. But I like his play to like a Trayvon Diggs where he'll take, you know, those chances that he takes will pay off more often than not and why I believe he'll finish with no less than four interceptions, interceptions as many as eight or nine. I think he absolutely crushes as a rookie. And when, you know, it's funny because when sauce won the defensive rookie of the year, he only finished the two interceptions. Yeah. Only two. Now, grandi had probably, I think somewhere between like 70 or 80 tackles. Terry and also loves to get physical and will absolutely come up and play the run. Corners are weird position though, because you can be absolutely bowling out and your stat sheet is empty, but that's a good sign because they're so scared to throw your way. Which was the case for sauce. So you don't have any interceptions, you don't have any pass breakups, you don't have much tackles. And so corner's a weird one. And I think that's why most of the time they go edge rusher is because corner can be the most dominant player on defense without putting anything on the stat sheet. Yep. So yeah, we shall see. All right. Let's talk about the coach of the year. This is where I think this is where I think we bet we both jump back on the same page. I'm going with the Houston Texans coach. No, Tamika Ryan's. You look at me looking crazy. No, you're not crazy at all. No, I was trying to think if you won it last year. I don't think you did. I can't remember now. It was either him or Kevin's to fans. Well, that's I was going to say Kevin's fans. You're Kevin O'Connell. No, it was an O'Connell. It was either Stefanski or him. Yeah. Well, we should Google that. Google it right now and see if he's going to go two for two because that would be pretty impressive. I don't think it's ever happened before. But regardless, I think the Texans are going to be one of the most dynamic, most impressive teams and improve upon what they did last year. So I love Demico to win the job. Oh, she's going to win the job. He's done that already. But win the award of coach of the year. So are we going to go two for two? We are not. It was Kevin Stefanski last year, which actually makes sense. He's been the Brown said coach for four years. He's won it twice. Damn. So you can win him. You can win him. Most consecutively. So here's the thing about the coach of the year award. It's a weird award because they don't ever give it to teams with high expectations. If you have high expectations and you reach those expectations, you did what you were supposed to do. I feel like they always give it to guys who under achieved. Look at last year, Kevin Stefanski going 11 and 6 with four different quarterbacks and making the playoffs. Look at, you know, in previous years, it's been coaches who kind of like coached over their skis, if you will, like they came up with less, you know, they were working with less and came up with more. That's why you never see guys like, has Andy Reid won a coach of the year since he's been the Chiefs? No. He's been to four Super Bowls. How is he not won a coach of the year? Because Kyle Shanahan won a coach of the year with four, no. So it's, and this is why like last year I picked Dan Campbell because them coming off of a 9-8 year, I thought they were going to have a huge year and they did, but they didn't go that route. And so I think that the Texans have too high of expectations that if they reach those expectations, it'll be, yeah, you were supposed to. So like no award for you. So I went a weird route, but it's a team that I know you and I are in agreement on that I think is this year's version of the Houston Texans. Yeah, that's the Indianapolis Colts. No. The Washington commanders. Okay. Dan Quinn coming in as a first year coach. I think that the commanders are, you know, a borderline NFC playoff team. They'll be fighting for that last spot in the last couple of weeks. We'll get to those predictions in a little bit, but I think that the commanders are going to be vastly improved this year, specifically that defense that struggled last year. I think he's going to, going to right the wrongs that, that were there last year. So I'm going Dan Quinn off, that's a really off the beaten path. I don't even know what his odds are because I haven't heard, I haven't heard anyone mention his name as coach of the year, but that's sneaky, dark horse, kind of sexy. I think if Washington can turn it around and they get in the playoffs, he's automatically the coach of the year. All right. Let's go. Let's go. Last three picks. These are the big, the big daddies. Give me defensive player of the year for you. I'm going with a guy who has really just been under the radar over the last few years, but in my opinion, he is one of the best in the NFL at what he does. And not only is he one of the best in the NFL at what he does, but he does it more than anyone else because this guy never takes a snap off. And I do mean literally never over the last three years he has played 99% of the defensive snaps. Max Crosby with the Raiders. I think this guy, he's been under the radar. And I think the players finally recognized him. He was voted as the 10th best player in the NFL, cracking the top 10 for the first time in his career. And I also think that the writers who vote on this vote for stories and I feel like they get sick of having the same, you know, cast and crew, you know, they had the TJ Watt. They had the Miles Garrett and I feel like Max Crosby is next up. It could also have said the same about Michael Parsons, but if he keeps doing the same thing that he's done every year where he like has an amazing start to the season and then just kind of disappears in the second half. Max Crosby never does that. Max Crosby has the biggest engine of any defensive player in this league. I think he wins it this year. Yeah, I'm with you on the, the old edge, edge position. I'm giving it to Aidan Hutchinson. I think year three is going to be a Whopper. And he finally shows that this dude is just super dynamic his, his pass rush moves will improve too. I think he adds a couple to his repertoire. I really think that he just pipes off and is going to prove that he is the absolute heart and soul this defense, which he kind of already is, but will show up in the numbers with with a very high sack total. That would, I would hope is higher than Max Crosby's because it probably need to be. Yeah. All right. Let's go. Two left offensive player of the year, who's it going to be? So speaking of those Texans, CJ Stroud is due for a season. Yeah. Now as a rookie, he absolutely killed in this time around while he gets to, you know, throw the ball, not just a tank towel and eco-colons, adult shots. He gets to also throw in a Stefan Diggs to an already pretty fucking explosive offense. And then there's Joe mixing behind him to, you know, in case anything gets a little scary a little sketchy, you know, a little dumped down. Well, there's Joe mixing, waiting, waiting. So I think CJ Stroud is going to go off this year. That is my offensive player of the year. I couldn't agree more. I thought I think it's interesting that you chose him for offensive player of the year because they came up with that award because the MVP award is so quarterback centric that they felt like they needed to throw a bone to the other position players. That's why it's going to be too quarterback. So I don't think we've ever seen a quarterback win offensive player of the year. And I think that continues this year. But I think you'll be happy with my choice. I'm going to Monra St. Brown, whoo, baby. And here's why. Oh, God. Would that be cool? I don't know that I've ever seen a receiver with a bigger chip on his shoulder. I mean, this is a guy who is drafted in the fourth round and carries around a list of all of the receivers who were drafted above them. And he can name them in order and the college they went to at the drop of a hat. You just say, hey, who were all the receivers taking over you? And I'll just list them all and the college they went to and where they got drafted. Like this guy carries it with him. And if you watch the Netflix receivers series, as I know you and I did, another little bit of fuel to the fire, he had 1,500 yards last year and was not voted to the Pro Bowl. And he was not happy about it. And so I think he's coming into this year with an even bigger chip on his shoulder, possibly a chip on both shoulders now. I expect him to absolutely go off. And I think now outside of, you know, the tight end room, he is the unquest, like, you know, you got JMO there possibly as a, as a tube, but you know, Jerry's still out on that. Yeah. I think that he is the number one on that team, obviously, we all know that. But I think that he is like the only option. I think it's going to be a, you know, a similar situation to like what Dallas has with CD Lamb, where CD Lamb last year was the only receiving option and he just went off. I think St. Brown could go for 17, maybe 1,800 yards this year, maybe 10 touchdowns. I think he's on getting fully pushed up right now, right? He's so pissed off about not making the Pro Bowl last year after having 1,500 receiving yards. And it is insane that he didn't, uh, I think he comes into this year and just blows last year out of the water. Oh, buddy, do I hope you are right? Uh, how about we finish this thing up with the crème de la crème of awards. That is the M, the P, actually, I'm just going to go. It's Aaron Rodgers. It's happening. It is happening. He is going to go out guns blazing, he's going out guns blazing, man, and it is going to be one fire of a curtain call, if you will. In that offense, we never saw a fucking thing, dude. And uh, that is one explosive offense. And they short up that offensive line, you know, necessarily. Did they? And, uh, well, kind of, they brought it up, they bring in the freaking 49ers, uh, tackle or who the Cowboys tackle, who's, who's playing eight games in the last four years. He's like seven feet tall, you know, he's also 38 years old and this miss multiple games every year for the last four years. They'll find a way to keep that dude upright and Aaron, speaking of a chip on the shoulder and Aaron don't want to go down, you know, like you did, you know, and uh, this, this is going to be a really hell of a good year for the, not just Aaron Rogers, but the Jets, Dark Horse candidate, Aaron, let's go. Okay. Besides the fact that I don't think that Aaron Rogers is going to have MVP numbers this year, even if he did, I think over the last couple of years, he's become so, uh, polarizing and hated in the media because of the way that he treats the media. I, this is, remember, these are voted on by sports writers. I don't think sports writers are going to vote for him. I mean, unless he just like puts up ridiculous numbers and like there's none of it, no one even questioned it. Yes. It's like Canada candy every week. Yeah. I just, I don't accept your press conferences. I can see it. I don't, I don't see it for two reasons. I don't see it because I don't think he's going to have the numbers. I also don't think that the writers would even vote him if he did. Uh, so I'm going with, uh, your guy who you picked for the offensive player of the year. I'm going MVP CJ Stradd with the Texans second year more impressive. Uh, yeah. I mean, uh, similar to Lamar, he won it in his second year. I think that, uh, the Texans are going to be one of the best teams in the NFL this year. And I think that, you know, when you, when you come in as a second year quarterback coming off of the rookie year, he did. I think MVP is, is a lockstep right in the direction that he's heading. So I don't, I don't think there's any question, you know, I, we could talk about my homes who had a down year last year, but I, I do feel like because there's the human element of it, it's not solely based on stats. It is voted upon by writers, by humans who are, who are storyline motivated. I think they get sick of the same, you know, cast and crew every year. And I think that's why we don't see, you know, even though it's the same reason, like, in the nineties, Michael Jordan, he should have been MVP every single year, but the writers were like, all right, enough. Let's pick someone else. Let's get Charles Barkley in there. Let's get Carl Malone in there. Even though Jordan had better numbers, it's, it's the same thing. So I don't think my homes who already has two MVP or three MVPs. I don't think that they're going to go that route. Even if he does have a bigger year, CJ Stroud is, is what's new and what's fresh. And I think they go with CJ. All right. I like it. There it is. There it is. Awards are finished, wrapped up. Let's go. Let's move forward. What else we got? We got a. All right. We did our eight divisional breakdowns over the last eight weeks and we give ourself, obviously, right before the start of the season. If we want to make any amendments, if there was any injuries or trades or player signings that maybe said, hey, I think that team can win another game or two or, oh, they're done. I don't, I don't think they're going to, you know, I think they're going to lose a couple more games. So without further ado, our player amendments and I will start. The team amendments here. Yeah. The team amendments, excuse me, I will start and that is because I'm keeping my teams the same. Listen, I, I went through them and I could, I could see a couple teams are like, maybe, but ultimately I just stuck to my guns. I went with my gut on the first time around and I am not making any amendments this year. So I give you the floor because I know you have some. I have, I have some, just a few very, very, very small amount of teams to, to change up here a little bit. It's, it's just, it's like a matter of a one, one here and one loss there. So really I just had to flip the NFC south. As I mentioned, as we both mentioned, Kirk is in for a year. He is going to be the comeback player of the year. So the Atlanta Falcons are going to win this division handedly, I don't know about handily. Okay. I'll take that back with it. They will win it outright. Whereas I had the bucks winning it Atlanta finishes 11 six bucks finished 10 and seven. So there's my first two amendments, second common NFC West with the 49ers winning one more game than the Rams to win the division at 10 and seven Rams keep their same record at nine and eight, but they finished second. That's all it is. It's all it is. All right. A couple small little changes. Let's get into it. We are going with AFC going through seven playoff teams. Give it to me. AFC teams. One through seven. All right. Here we go. Who else? Here we go again. Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs at number one, number two out of the AFC North, that is the Baltimore Ravens. Our AFC South winners will be, sorry, the West or the South, Houston Texans, number three, and then Aaron Rodgers, MVP, those New York, J E T S is at number five, I'm going to go with the Cincinnati Bengals and number six, I'm going to go with the Chargers and rounding out the playoffs. Number seven. Justin Fields led Pittsburgh Steelers. Oh, they sneak in, baby. Let's go at eight and nine seven. Fuck. Yeah. Oh, goodness. It's going to be a mess in the AFC man coming down the wire in the wild card. All right. Well, you and I are in lockstep on number one. I also have the Chiefs as the number one seed. I've got them a couple games better than you 13 and four. I have the Texans as the number two seed, also at 13 and four, I'm going bangles at number three, 11 and six and the dolphins is the AFC East winner at 11 and six as well. My wild card teams bills get in there as the five seed at 10 and seven Ravens is the six seed at 10 and seven and your MVP Aaron Rodgers jets get in as the last seat in the AFC with a nine and eight record. Dig it. All right. How about an FC? Let's do NFC. We got one through seven. All right. Number one seed familiar teams here. I'm going 49ers 12 and five. I'm going your lions at number two at 12 and five. I'll go Eagles three at 11 and six and the up and coming Kirk cousins led Falcons at 10 and seven as the number four seed. So my wild card teams at five. We've got the Packers at 11 and six at six. We've got the Rams at 10 and seven and at seven rookie phenom Caleb Williams gets his bears into the playoffs with a 10 and seven record. And that means that the Dallas Cowboys are on the outside looking in. Oh, those poor Cowboys. Why the hell did I have to put them in? All right. Here we go. Number one seed Eagles 12 and five. We got the lions numbered to also a 12 and five. We got those Atlanta Falcons at the third spot or a ski. They finished 11 and six and the 49ers at 10 and seven and then here we go. Last three though five, five, six, two, seven while cartoons. We got Cowboys. What do we got? We got Cowboys at 10 and seven. We got the Rams nine and eight rounded out by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield Yes. Does it again gets those scrappy Buccaneers into the playoffs at 10 and seven as well. There it is. There it is. My brother. And that leaves us to our Super Bowl predictions. I will give you the floor. Here it is. And here's why as far as teams that I believe are on defense and offense playmakers all over the field led by two quarterbacks that are easily two of the best quarterbacks in the league in the perfect situations. Defenses are explosive. They are dynamic. They are scary. They get after the run. They can cover for days. Both have weapons that are very scary led by really, really young but aggressive coaches that are specifically player coaches who the players just absolutely love playing for. I have the Houston Texans playing the Detroit Lions. Man. Oh, man, I am here for it. I couldn't imagine. I would say it would be one of the most exciting Super Bowls in the last 10 to 15 years if that actually came to fruition. Yeah. All right, my Super Bowl prediction. I have a young up and coming team with playmakers all over the field on both sides of the ball versus another team with playmakers all over the field, kind of two different styles. One had a surprisingly explosive offense and what we would expect to be a good defense. The other one has one of the best offenses in the league. And a defense who underwhelmed at times last year, but I expect to be much better this year. I am going with the Houston Texans worth the Detroit Lions. I love. Oh, I fucking met a feeling, dude, I'm really, really dead. Two teams who have never won a Super Bowl. So I think that there is a new Super Bowl winner this year. And I think that Jared is going to break the spell of here. Here is a stat. I don't know if most people know this or not. I like weird stats like this. So I'm into it since Neil O'Donnell with my Pittsburgh Steelers, we're going back in time. Wow. No quarterback has ever gone to the Super Bowl and lost his first appearance and ever returned to the quarterback. There is a long list of guys who made their first ever Super Bowl appearance and they lost and they never got back and they never got back. Actually, let me check that. It's before Neil O'Donnell. It starts with Dan Marino. I was thinking Dan Marino. My head. I was like, wait, didn't Dan go to and then never? Yeah, because Dan Marino, no, it doesn't because Jim Kelly went and then went four straight years and lost. That's true. So it doesn't start with Dan Marino. It starts with Neil O'Donnell in the 95 Super Bowl against Cowboys. Since then, no quarterback has ever lost his first Super Bowl appearance. Now you do have guys like Drew Bletso who went in 96, lost to the Packers and then went as a backup. You got Jim McGraw-Polo, you know, he went with the Patriots and lost but then also went back as the starter of the 49ers. But no one has ever started a Super Bowl since Neil O'Donnell lost and been back. I think Jared Goff breaks that spell after being the losing quarterback with the Rams in whatever year that was, 2018. I think he gets back this year and the curse is lifted. Let's go. Oh my goodness, buddy. Can you imagine what a fucking sweet, oh man, I can taste it. I'm telling you literally it's this, both teams stay healthy all the way through, you know, a week or two, you know, injury here or there, but that these two teams on paper are easily the most talented, most explosive on offense and really, really tough stout defense is that absolutely should and could run away with their respected conferences, not just divisions, but conference, buddy. You know what time it is? It sounds like it's like a, I feel like an S and S moment, like a something like that. It is. Absolutely. It's getting a little excited right now. Week one, Staley and Stoner six here we go Thursday night football tomorrow night. We got the Baltimore Ravens going to Kansas City. Kansas City is favored by three. What's that you? Give me the chiefs at home to, you know, finish off a Raven seem that will be scrappy will be tough for that opening week, but I think chiefs are still but heard about losing last year opening night against my lions, baby. They won't let that happen again and it'll be a tight one, but give me the chiefs by five. I got 28 chiefs Ravens 23. Yeah. So for those of you who don't remember how we do our records on this, it's not if we pick the correct winner. We have to pick the correct spread. So although we have the same winner on this, we are going to differ. I think it's going to be an extremely tight game. I think Kansas City does pull it out, but I'm going to take Baltimore to cover. I've got Kansas City winning this one in a close one, possibly a Harrison Buckker field goal at the very end. I've got Kansas City winning 24 to 23, all right, we got Green Bay, Friday night football in is it Brazil, Brazil, San Juan, San Paulo, San Paulo, something else like that against those Eagles, Eagles are favored as if they were playing in Philly by two and a half. What do you got? Yeah, I don't buy it. Philadelphia. Same. I think they could struggle to start the season. I ultimately think they'll figure it out. But coming off of last year where they lost six of their last seven games, there's been some turmoil in the locker room, apparently, Siriani and Hertz not getting along. I think Philadelphia will figure it out, but they're not going to figure it out in week one. I got Green Bay winning this one and they do cover 30 to 27. Oh, God, that's not where I thought you were going. I actually disagree entirely. I think Eagles do. They've been in their fences, they've squashed as much as they could to make it tolerable in the locker room specifically between Syria and they've gone to counseling him and Hertz. So they're okay now. I got the Eagles just being much, much more talented than the Packers and much more experienced. I got the winning actually by eight. I got a 29 to 21 W. All right. We got Tom Brady's first call in the booth. So excited for it. Oh, man, I can't wait. We got the Dallas Cowboys going to Cleveland. This is an interesting one, man. Cleveland is favored by two and a half. Dude, why did the Eagles, like, sorry, the Cowboys seem to only ever play a four 25. Yeah. Like a mirror. It's just, it's enough already with the 425 slot. Yeah. Sick of it. With that said, man, it's a suite of teams that are like an ending mode with the Browns. I don't know what to do with. With that said, they are at home, the Browns fans will be, that dog bond will be turned up. For show. It was in Dallas. I flipped the script, but it's not. It is in Cleveland. I am going to give the Browns the cover. Actually, it isn't a cover. It's a two point win. So I am Browns will win 23 to 21, I won. I also have a tight one. And I am with you. If this were in Dallas, I think I would have a different opinion because we know how dominant Dallas is at home over the last two years. I think there are something like 16 and one in the last two seasons at home. Cleveland's defense. Unbelievable. I have no idea what we're getting out of to Sean Watson, obviously still no Nick Chub. So Cleveland's offense could be a question mark, but I think Dallas's offense is going to be a question mark. So they just signed Cook today. I don't know if he's going to be ready for week one. So you're going into that with Zeke Elliot as you're on the court, oh my god, as they're running back to your Lord. To tackle that. That was so double on her. Yeah. So this Dallas team is 110% Dak and CD dependent defensively. They lose to run bland, but they get back digs. You get Micah and you got all that and Micah does show up in the first half of the season. That's for sure. And he'll probably show up against Miles Garrett. So I think it's a lower scoring game, but I do have Cleveland winning and covering. I've got a 20 to 17 win Cleveland Monday night football. This one was the hardest for me. New York Jets going to the 49ers. This is Monday night football. Four and a half for the 49ers. What do you have? If you asked me a month ago, I would have picked the 49ers to win this possibly, I don't know, like 38 to 20, something like that. And the Jets have had a good camp, had a good preseason, positive vibes coming out of there. Meanwhile, 49ers been noisy. I don't know if Williams is playing at left tackle. He's still holding out. No one knows what's going on with Iyuk. You got the defense for the 49ers with a new defensive coordinator. I think the 49ers are good and I do expect them to win this game, but I'm going to give the Jets the cover, but I have the 49ers winning. I'm going to go 24 to 20 San Francisco. I think this is going to be a really lower scoring game, two teams, especially on offense, having to deal with especially hard defenses and having trouble moving the ball and also scoring points. That's why I actually have the Jets, I got them covering outright and getting the W in a low scoring 20 to 19 win for MVP Aaron Rodgers. We shall see. All right, last two, it's our teams. Let's go buddy. We got your Steelers, man. They got to go play captain Kirk. Come back clear of the year. They are favored. The Falcons are favored by three, let's say you. Yeah. Mike Tomlin is the best coach when it comes to being a underdog. However, I talked about it last week. Russell Wilson obviously is the starting quarterback. We'll see how that goes. My concern is this offensive line. No Isaac Siamalu going to have three starting rookies, and then the fourth offensive lineman is in his second year. He actually brother Jones looked terrible in off season and in the preseason, excuse me. I don't think this offensive line is ready to go. I like both of these defenses and on the flip side, I know the Falcons offensive line is ready to go. They were a top three last year. I expect them to be top three this year. This is going to be one of my lowest scoring games of the week, but I'm giving Atlanta the win and cover, I say the win 17 to 13. Yeah I'm with you, man. I think just Atlanta being at home as well, and just all the question marks specifically like you mentioned on the offensive line with the Steelers and Russell's first week going into Atlanta. The team's going to be loud, loud, loud. It's going to be tough to kind of get those wheels going to spin and then get that offense humming week one, so and I don't anticipate that happening. I have them scoring though, you know, 21 points, but Atlanta's going to score five more. I got Atlanta winning outright 26, 21. All right, last game, Sunday Night Football, the Rams going to Detroit. Detroit is favored by two and a half. And the last time we played him last year in the playoffs was a one point game. My God, was that stressful? Yes. I think this is just week one, but staff's going back, Kelly's going back, we're going to boo the hell out of those kids, because that's what Kelly says we do, so you get ready for that. Maybe don't bring your kids this time, Kelly. I don't know. That could be a thing. Just leave them back in LA. Get a frickin' sitter. This one, I think, is going to be even more high scoring. This is going to be a fun one, it's going to be tight, but I'm giving my lions, I mean, if it was in LA, it'd be different, but I love Fort Field so much. Our fans will be ready to go and boo the shit out of Matthew Stafford, not those kids. And he will hear it and he will feel it, and it is going to be a doozy. I mean, my lions, to not cover, actually, but to still win by a field goal. Give me lions 30, Rams, 27. Yeah, we're pretty much in agreement on this. I got a little bit lower scoring of the game, only because typically week one, especially you know, golf and Stafford, neither one of them played in the preseason, so I expect the offense has come out a little bit rusty. So I think it could be a little bit lower scoring, but I'm not going much lower scoring than you. I am also taking the Rams with the points, but I've got Detroit winning by a field goal. I'll go lions, 27 Rams, 24. And there it is, 222 in the books, Staling Stoner, six, week one in the books. Man, I know I'm ready for it. I know that guy over there is ready for it. I've done been ready for. Let's kick this thing off, man. Let's enjoy the hell out of the best time of the year, football, damn near every day till the foreseeable future. So let's just enjoy this ride. Thank y'all for listening. It's been fun and we will see you next week for SNS, week two and baby baby. [MUSIC]
