Please put your hands together and make a little noise for your favorite wildcatters, the handsome Bosco boys. Boom, the boys are back, and it is time for our post-UT Martin Pre-2 Lane Q&A episode. So, usually, this episode, it'll go back and forth between being recorded on Sunday and Monday, recording this on Monday the second. So, sometimes, we'll have different little pieces of information at the top of the show. Nothing too crazy this week. We did get confirmation. So, when the game time for this Gameverse 2 Lane was announced 11 AM, it was ESPN or ESPN2. It will be on ESPN, so the lead-in 2 kick-off will be college game day in Ann Arbor. Both big-noom kick-off in college game day will be in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the Wolverines and Longhorns. So that'll be the lead-in, and honestly, that's a pretty good time slot. Again, you are going up against some heavy hitters when you want to play the TV ratings game, which, I think, for the most part is a pretty fruitless. It's not the most promising exercise because you are going up against the best game that Fox has every week, which this week is going to be Texas, Michigan. You are going head-to-head with usually a pretty solid SEC game. This week, it's Arkansas, Oklahoma State. So it is probably the third game on the pecking order, but it is far more fun to have that game on ESPN versus ESPN2. I'm pumped for it. I wish I was going down there, but, again, I got some stuff going on next weekend, and then the following weekend, I'm going to Utah for K-State BYU, so don't really feel like traveling three straight weekends, and, of course, the secret day job probably doesn't want me taking off all that time in three straight weeks, and we'll just keep that that. One piece of information that I'll throw in here, our friend Parker Fleming, so he's from stats of war. He does that fun graph, so how bad did we really get beat, or did we really get beat that bad? So it's net success rate, so it's success rate on offense and defense and comparing it, and K-State would have been the number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8th best performance. So if you're looking at just net success rate, and, again, there's different values. I think you have to pick up, like, 5 yards or more for 1st and 10, and all that type of stuff. We'll have Parker on to explain this graphic, because it goes viral every week, but, again, when you look at it, one of the better performances. Again, I think Michael, who has been a participant on many trivia shows, he was tweeting, he was a little critical of me calling it a C- game, and, again, I think when you look at that net success rate, I think that probably gives more credence to his call out than my rebuttal to him, and ultimately it was a much better game than I was giving the team credit for. If you contrast that with Tulane, they're all the way down there. Again, they had a better net success rate, but it was dwarfed by K-states, and they had, what was it, a 52 to nothing win, and their success rate was nowhere near K-states. So, look, I probably was a little harsh, and, you know, the overall C-minus grade, I'll throw my hand up and say, "All right, might have been a little tough on that one, but, you know, look, I've watched a little bit more of it today on Mondays I've recorded. There were some really, really, really good things, especially on defense, the running backs, the more and more I see from the offensive line I liked it, just a lot to be desired in the passing game. We'll get into your guys' questions, but before we do, we'll give a shout out to our friends over at Manhattan Brewing Company. I'm pulling up their list of, their weekly schedule, so I'm recording us on Monday, sorry, you can't do anything for Monday. They got Taco Tuesday, and $1 off margaritas from El Bandido all day, they got $2 off everything for students and military on Wednesday. Thursday, there is trivia competition going on, jammin' Jamaican food truck is gonna be there. It's 20% off for all teachers and staff. Wednesday, they're gonna have their weekend punch and purple pride seltzer's going, they are opening up early to watch the K-sit game verse Tulane, and it's officially patio weather, and then Sunday, two dollars off Sangria's, $1 off Crowler's, $6 beer moses all day long, so again, Sunday is going to be a fun one for everyone, so all sorts of great stuff going on at Manhattan Brewing Company. Obviously, talk to your local liquor store here in the state of Keynes, if they're not carrying four packs, and make sure they are. All sorts of great questions, most of them are related to football, but hey look, if you sneak in and off topic question, I'll probably still answer it. So we'll jump into it, a lot of MVPs, Jeff had a couple good ones, Mark is always, like I think he's gonna have to be unseated before he's not the MVP, Steve's got a couple good ones in there. He's gonna be a good Q&A show, ease us into the work week, and as we're getting ready for Tulane, I'm pumped for that one. We got HOF_NIP, do we really think Keegan Johnson is going to have a big season or is it all smoke again? So first off, I do want to say every time I presented what I've been hearing, what I've been told about Keegan Johnson, I've always said, hey, I need to see it to truly believe it. I hope I'm not being lumped in here, and I hope starting with the Tulane game and ending with the postseason, I hope I get to come on this podcast and say, hey, I was wrong, Keegan Johnson did live up to this height, I was wrong, Keegan Johnson did have the season that was promised to us. I definitely want that, I'm never rooting against players, I'm K-State players, I'm never rooting against players who are currently at K-State, I definitely am not rooting for predictions at the detriment of the players. I'm like, yeah, I'll sit here and I'm gonna root DJ and Desperna, I have my favorite guys, that's like, hey, all things being equal, I want to see a big game from DJ, all things being equal, I want a big game from Des, but I'm not saying, hey, I want a big game from Jay Spran, because damn it, I don't want to see Keegan Johnson succeed, that is not it at all. And here's the thing, with the flashes we've seen, even at times, the Texas game outside of that agree just kind of dropped, that led to a wide interception, and he made a good player two versus KU, we didn't see it. But those flashes were very bright, again, in his freshman season at Iowa, those flashes were very bright. If there was one guy, I could, you know, put a stamp of approval and say, hey, he's gonna get it done, and it comes to fruition, it'd be Keegan Johnson, because if you could give Avery a second dependable big play wide receiver to pair with Jay Spran, that might solve a lot of the issues that we saw on Saturday in the passing game. So, will we see him? No, again, I need to see it to believe it, I'm guessing, I'm going, I'm gonna say, hey, look, it was a lot of smoke, or he's the best practice player ever. So that's where I'm at. Again, I'm hoping we see a good game versus Tulane, and then I probably will have to see him follow it up with a good game versus Arizona or BYU to start trying to depend on him for anything. But I think trying to pencil him in for anything outside of, you know, a touch or two and, you know, 10 to 20 yards, I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment. We had an older one from C_Nrad, he used the hashtag #assbosscomb, I was always gonna find those. He asked, what will we see first, a Super Bowl or a big tall championship in London? I think being facetious, I don't think the big tall championship game will ever go overseas. But I bet there's a Super Bowl in London before 2040, so in the next 15 Super Bowls, I bet one of them's in London. So, there's your, there's the first bold prediction of this episode. When you need meal time inspiration, it's worth shopping Kroger for thousands of appetizing ingredients that inspire countless mouth-watering meals. And no matter what tasty choice you make, you'll enjoy our everyday low prices, plus extra ways to save, like digital coupons worth over $600 each week and up to $1 off per gallon at the pump with points, so you can get big flavors and big savings, Kroger fresh for everyone, your restrictions apply. Overnight, Duncan's pumpkin spice coffee has sent folks into a cozy craze. I'm Lauren LaTula, reporting live from home in my hand-lit tunnel neck that my nana made me. Ooh, a cinnamon-y. The home with Duncan is where you wanna be. Next, we got, we got one, two, three, we got four good ones from Jeff. The first one is, what areas would I like to see Avery take the biggest jump from game on to game two? First off, I will say folks way smarter than me have pounded through the idea, because again, I was disappointed but not seeing more running. Folks way smarter than me have told me to chill out on that. They're going to run them when they need them, and they didn't need them for the UT Martin game. So, you know, hey, it is what it is. I'm hoping. Look, in my ideal world, Avery takes an improvement and the entire passing game takes an improvement. Whether it's, you know, Avery connecting with the guys when they get open or just scrambling a little bit. I'm not saying take-off running, but just kind of move out of the pocket a little bit to allow the wide receivers to kind of do a little backyard football. If they can't get open on their normal routes, extend the plays a little bit and then find that big play in the passing game. That's where I'd like to see the biggest jump, because again, it's been relentlessly pounded into my head by folks smarter than me and folks around K-State football, that they're not going to run Avery if they think that they're going to win the game without having to do it. So, I'm going to try my best to back off of that, but I think just trying to find more consistent and rhythm in the passing game, and I think that might include him having to, you know, instead of wasting a ball, especially if he misses it, look, the better enterprise is like, hey, don't miss the open pass, you know, when it's there. I think a couple of times he just waited a little too long to send it in. So, hoping we just really see the passing game improve from week one to week two. The next one is the rushing production, a byproduct of blocking or running back just out-athletting FCS squads. Look, I know there was a couple plays that folks are pointing to where DJ bounces stuff on the outside and gets, you know, some yards that maybe weren't there, and they're trying to say, oh, he won't be able to do that versus more athletic teams, faster teams. Did you guys watch last season? I mean, did you see him versus UCF, the team that probably has some of the most team speed in the Big 12 on defense? I mean, he was bouncing things outside versus them. He was able to get the corner and pick up 20, 30 yards versus multiple teams last year, not just FCS teams. So I think it is a combination of, hey, the running backs are just flat out good. And again, I think the offensive line, again, I'm probably, you know, one side of the coin for one unit and one side of the coin for the other, but I saw some stuff and I was even victim to it inside the stadium in my group chat. You know, one play, you see a lineman get beat on one player. Something isn't picked up on one play, you know, like, oh man, what's the offensive line even doing? Again, going back and watching it, I thought the offensive line had a very decent game above average game. So I think the offensive line, I think the scheme and I think the running backs are just good. And that's why I think that should still be the cornerstone of our offenses here. So yeah, I think that answers the question. I think it's a little bit of everything. The next one, what player surprised me? I think it has to be lofted and it might, it might not just be Brayden Lofton as much as I was expecting that guy to be Garrett Oakley. So I don't think I should have been surprised by Lofton doing a good job executing the scheme to get out there and take home that touchdown pass. But I guess I was just more surprised to see him out there. If you want to talk about just performance, I mean, Joe Jackson, I mean, he had his one big run and that was really about it. And again, I knew he was going to be good, but I was like, I was really pumped to see that. Rex Van Y, that's the answer. Rex Van Y, I thought he did a solid job and that was his first extended playing time out there. I thought Rex Van Y probably surprised me the most. He goes, my takeaway on defense is that we have depth. Did that unit answer any questions I had? I didn't have a lot of questions for the defense. Again, throwing out 2020, Joe Clanderman has had like a top 30 defense almost every year he's been the DC. Some folks will argue about how good the defense really was last year wasn't. I thought the defense was pretty good last year. I think it's going to be better this year. The defensive ends all lived up to the hype, you know, on one side of the ball, there's a lot of hype around Keegan Johnson and a lot of hope around Dante Sifis, because again, there hasn't been a ton of hype about him, but there was a lot of hope around Dante Sifis. There was a lot of hype around the defensive ends and they lived up to in week one. Now let's see what they do next week versus a solid Tulane team, but they lived up to the hype. I mean, I guess some question about linebacker depth because again, you know, I had Asa Newsom penciled in as a guy who was going to be the first linebacker off the bench. I thought Alacomarranco eventually would be a player turns out didn't even suit up. I mean, we'll see if we ever get much Alacomarranco and then Austin Moore was on a snap count restriction. So I thought the linebackers played well. So Bo Palmer played well, Rex Van Y played well. Desmond Purnell was a man possessed, Austin Romaine was well. So again, maybe answering some of that depth that linebacker, but again, I didn't have any questions. I was very confident in what the defense was going to be. All right, we got one Ruger next. Who should we assign blame for the offensive struggles the most and by what game will they officially settle in and air quotes again, I think it's just the passing game. The running game was very good, almost 10 yards a carry. He runs from multiple players. It seemed like if we wanted to and again, I'm now it's been pounded in my head from other people if if case they wanted to run triple option or if they wanted to just pound the rock every single play, they feel like they probably could have won 70 to nothing. That isn't the way they wanted to go about this game, whether it was testing some stuff out, which again, I shouldn't be as critical about because I was saying all last week that hey, you know, I got to test stuff, you got to figure out what you have in your bag and what you don't. I said that all last week, so I probably shouldn't be as frustrated as I was that they were trying to get the passing game going because they knew they could have run for like crazy. If you're making me assign the most blame for the passing attack, I mean, look, I'm probably going to go with the wide receivers outside of J.S. Brown again, even, you know, there were two or three people who listened to the game review, thought I was I was being too rough on Avery, which might have been the case. I'm not going to say I'm above being wrong, been wrong hundreds of thousands of times before I'll be wrong a million times again, but I'm putting it at the feet of the line or the wide receivers. I think ultimately, at least in game one, things can improve. They can maybe change some concepts. I'm not saying this is going to be the case next week or this upcoming Saturday or in November, October and postseason, I'm just saying right now, it doesn't feel like anyone outside of J.S. Brown is a big 12 receiver from what we saw in week one. So that's that's where I'll put the most blame when are they going to settle in hopefully next week. Again, I think that I think if they really set their minds to establishing the run early, maybe do one, all I'm asking for is one or two designed runs from Avery. I think that might open up the passing game a little bit. Again, I'm not going to sit here and ask for five or even ten anymore. I've learned my lesson message received, but I just I just I'm hoping they figure it out next week because again, this could be a fun season and we need the wide receivers to step up just a little bit more. Ryan Reynolds here for I guess my hundredth mint commercial. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Honestly, when I started this, I thought I'd only have to do like four of these. I mean, it's unlimited premium wireless for $15 a month. How are there still people paying two or three times that much? I'm sorry, I shouldn't be victim blaming here. Give it a try at midmobile.com/save, whenever you're ready. $45 up from payment equivalent to $15 per month, new customers on first three month plan only taxes and fees extra speed slower above 40 gigabytes of details. Next one from Mark and again, lots of questions from Mark. He he is the greatest question asked. I might actually, no, I'll do it still in order that I like them. So Mark is definitely getting the MVP here. He goes, what is my biggest concern and what is the concern? All right. What is the biggest concern and what is the thing you're concerned about the least after game one? Okay. My biggest concern is the passing game and again, I think it's a little bit and it can be so many things. It could be, you know, timing. You know, that's the first start inside Bill Snyder family statements. It's the first start that Avery has had with Dante Sifis. There's a lot of things that could go into it. So whether it's timing, whether it's jitters, whether it's the wide receivers not getting open, whether they were just running base passing concepts and, and, you know, UT Martin was good enough to shut down some base stuff that the passing game is my biggest concern. The thing I'm least concerned about is production from the running backs again. Dylan Edwards got two touchdowns and he had some nice flash plays, one in the running game and one in the passing game and DJ Get-In's is him. He is, he is one of the best running backs in the big 12. He continues to be slept on and ignored by some of the regional and national media when talking about best running backs in the conference in the country. So I have like no concern at all about the running backs. So that that's how where I would go with that one. Western Wildcat, what showed the most promise to me in the first game? And I think the three things after especially rewatching would be the running game again. The running game was very good. Number two, I would say the defensive ends. I would say the defensive ends again. We saw seven of them rotating before garbage time or maybe it was six. I don't know if Jordan Allen technically got in before garbage time, but I think all seven of them, Jordan Allen included, made plays. They were getting off their pass rushing moves. I really think that we got something amongst those seven and really the only thing I'm concerned about the defensive ends are, you know, there's two guys who are going to be leaving at the end of the season. Hey, Keith, keep the other five happy. Can you keep all five of them around? I think they're going to do a good job making sure everyone gets some snaps so they can do that. And then the third thing that showed me the most promise, probably it is the, and this is such a stupid answer, but I feel like the emotion is there for the team. I'm a big vibes guy when it comes to the football team. I love seeing a swaggy defense that's throwing up the mob sign. They're talking a little trash, they're getting after it. They have that emotion. They want to be out on that field. And I think you see the fire and I think you see the same thing on offense. You see them celebrating. You see them having fun because at the end of the day, it's a game. There were times last year where it just seemed like the team was kind of going through the motions a little bit and thinking it's a long season. And if you can't get pumped up, if you can't have that emotion, I'm looking for in the first game and like, hey, you probably shouldn't be playing football. But you just get excited and just seems like this team is giving off the auras the kids like to say. I might even be using that wrong of a team that wants to be out there and they're hungry to go prove themselves. So those are the three things that I thought showed the most promise. Something that also shows a lot of promise is everything in the K-State Collection over at Charlie Hessel. Charlie Hessel is the home to the best officially licensed K-State gear in the game. Not only is it the most stylish, but it is the most comfortable as well. Shout out to our friends at Charlie Hessel, second to none, it's not only officially licensed K-State gear, it's not only big 12 gear, it's not only vintage, big 8 gear, it's not only other schools officially licensed, but they have the iconic Kansas City heart and icon t-shirts. They have the Kansas City Football Collection, they have the Crown Town Collection, they have officially licensed stuff with Sporting Kinsey and Casey Current. Folks, everything you can want is over at Charlie Hessel and again, took Chauncey on a walk this morning, it was like 52 degrees, threw on my Charlie Hessel crew neck, boys and girls, it's basically crew neck season. So if you buy some of their fleece, whether it's a hoodie or a crew neck sweatshirt and you don't absolutely love it, I'm not going to refund you, but I will question your saying that. They are that good. Charlie Hessel, vintage made fresh. All right, we got one, two, three, four, five straight from my guy Mark. First one from Mark, what are my thoughts on the creativity of the offensive personnel and the way they use DJ Dillon together? Really, you didn't see anything too crazy. You saw DJ kind of swinging out and lead blocking, you saw a kind of decoy to get that first little swing pass of the game to Dillon Edwards. I think we'll start to really see the creativity shine through versus Arizona a week from Friday and then on the road at BYU to get things rolling there. Then I think you could see some crazy stuff for Oklahoma State, as long as both teams keep their end of the bargain, again, that's going to be a top 20 matchup and I think that might be one of the best atmospheres Bill Snyder family Sam has ever seen. So again, I think it's too early to tell. I didn't really think too much of the creativity for any of the offense on Saturday. I think that the best is yet to come for that one. Next one to Mark, who was the surprise name of the game for you? Mine would be Rex Van Y, seemed to be a lot of tackles when he got snaps again. I was right there with you and again, Lofton being the guy gets that first touchdown and being the focal point amongst the tight ends for the most part in the passing game again. I think Oakley had a couple targets, one of which was kind of a late identification while they kind of hooked in underneath his own and it got broken up. But I'd say Brayden Lofton is in there as well. This one is from Mark's wife. Can you do research and find out who Gideon is? Yeah, look, I can't imagine how tough of a job doing play-by-play and color commentary is. There are so many people who want to get into it. I would imagine over 100 people quit every year and just give up on the grind of trying to get into play-by-play in radio and TV broadcasting for live sports. I can't imagine how many people have tried, can't break through, and then they just walk away from the dream. And you guys also know how bad I am at pronouncing names. So I'm not going to unless it's egregious or you're Tim Brando and you've been doing it for a million years and you should know better. But when I re-watch it and I heard them call them DJ Gideon or just Gideon, that made me mad. It's not like it's even a tough name. Again, Felix and you DK Zama, it took me a full entire year. I'm probably still pronouncing Damien Elolio wrong. I'm sure there's probably a handful of names on the roster that you people who are listening to the show, the boneheads listening to the show, they're like, "Holy shit, Scott, can you please pronounce that right? He's been on the team for three years." Again, there's guys on this current K-State Men's basketball game where I'm going to probably mispronounce the entire year and then they're going to be gone because they're one-year transfers. But I'm not going to, if you're not Tim Brando and you stumble over some tough names, whatever. But DJ Gideon's, come on, come on, was that a Mon Green? I think that's who it was. Come on, man, you can do better than that. Next one from Mark, when did they stop selling funnel cakes at K-State football games? I don't know. I'm not a big concession stand guy as an adult. I know you went with one of your wonderful children and here's the thing. I don't know why, but this is where I'm going to go on a soliloquy of going to sporting events with your parents. I go to almost every K-State home game with my dad. It is the highlight of my week every time we do. When K-State basketball isn't such a tough watch, we go to a lot of K-State basketball games as well. But the memories I have of going to sporting events, not only with my dad, but with my mom. K-State football and basketball, K-U football and basketball, we were a house divided. I remember our family would always go to a Chiefs preseason game together, all four of us. You know, the scarecrows, hockey team in Topeka, it's had a million different names, a Kansas City blades game, Royals games. Look, going to games with your parents, young or old, it's one of those highlights and one of those memories I'll hold on to until my final moments on Earth. So I'm happy you and your son got to go to the game. I'm sorry about the phone cakes. Next one from Mark. Outside of the fumble, special teams seem to have a pretty good game. Is it a correlation or causation from the new special teams coordinator or just a talent gap? Look, I thought there were a couple other mistakes. Again, the kick out of bounds and again, I said it on the game review, the kick out of bounds, how they are teaching him and how they want Chris Tennant to kick it off. They want him to go deep and they want him to go towards one of the sidelines. It was really close. I listened to the KSO Sunday show and Drew and Mason were in the back of the in zone where it was kicked. I think Drew is like, I don't know, that was close, are we sure it was out of bounds? So again, that's probably being tough on Chris Tennant. But again, I want my kicker to be able to execute that kick. So that was a mistake. Dylan Edwards giving up 30 yards of field position, seeing two big bounces with very little traffic around him. I think he should have been able to grab that and then either get straight down, pick up a couple yards, get down. That was a bit of a blunder and then you know, 66.67 success rate on your punt. Not horrible, but again, you had a net punt of like 27, 28 yards by Simon McClannon. I think that was his second punt of the night. So again, I don't know, maybe I'm just being too, too tough of a grader. But again, I've heard a lot of praise for the new special teams coordinator. It sounds like chili Davis got fired from his NFL job. So I think, I think in the coaching department, when it comes to special teams, we are a lot better off. My dad works in B2B marketing. He came by my school for career day and said he was a big row as man, then he told everyone how much he loved calculating his return on ad spend. My friends still laughing me to this day. Not everyone gets B2B, but with LinkedIn, you'll be able to reach people who do. Get $100 credit on your next ad campaign. Go to LinkedIn.com/results to claim your credit. That's LinkedIn.com/results. Terms and conditions apply. LinkedIn, the place to be, to be. Got the last handful of questions we are going to Abe at knuckleball, Schwartz. Who would win a fight, Willy the Wildcat or the Green Wave? If we're talking about literal green wave, I mean, I think the green wave. If we're talking about actual mascots, mascots in the costume, there isn't a mascot in all of college football that could beat up Willy Wildcat. Again, people want to make fun of his outfit, his costume, just being ahead in football pads. But Willy could with some mascot ass, but if you're talking about actual green tidal wave, no one's beating that. The next one got two from Ethan Brown. Hey, can we all chill out? I mean, whatever. I feel like some folks think I wasn't chill enough. Look, I call it like I see it. Maybe I spazzed out a little bit too much. Sorry. Um, but granted, some folks were like way more like I saw some stuff, I had some screenshots sent to me. Look, some of you do need to chill. I mean, do whatever you want. You know, you're being a fan of the football team, but I would recommend some folks taking some chill. But again, some folks would probably say that about me. So who am I to say? The next one, how do I get on Keegan's cardio regimen? Dude, I don't know. I don't understand this reference. You're going to have to text me. I don't understand that reference. So sorry, Ethan. No idea what that's talking about. We got a couple from Connor Belts's or one half of the Aggieville alley cats. He said, we saw a ton of D linemen in their first game and many of them made good plays. So that's not a question. The next one with one game done, who turned your head the most and who do you expect? Oh, okay. He's got to ask me about who turned my head the most and expect the most going forward. I mean, I think Damian did well. I thought him and uso played well on the interior. I mean, it's tough to say Toby didn't impress the most or turn the head the most and who do I expect the most going forward? I'm still sticking with Brendan Mott again. I've been all over the place. I think if you probably go back to like April and May, I think at one point I was saying Cheaty. I think at one point I was saying Jordan Allen. I don't know if I ever said Toby, but I always gave him some love. So I've been all over the place. I'm going to stick with Brendan Mott because that is where I landed for my predictions episode. I mean, it's tough to argue with Toby's sack to snap ratio. So I still expect the most out of Brendan Mott and maybe Damian, you know, it's two of the starters, but man, we got a lot of good ones. So sorry I wasn't more definitive, but here's what it is. The Uptown Update, so the Uptown Update is a blog and a podcast. Actually I lied. It's just a podcast. Tulane. I think it's a couple grad students and a couple undergrad, we had folks on from that podcast. We had Isaac Popper from that podcast on our summer school series. I think the plan is to have him on to get a primer for him for the Friday whip round. So they asked, sorry, I was bouncing around. Yes, are there going to be a lot of K-State fans traveling to New Orleans? The away section looks almost completely empty. I don't expect a lot. I would imagine, and again, Tulane has hosted some pretty big Power 5 teams. Most of them way closer to New Orleans than K-State. Most of them with way cheaper flight options than K-State. I'd imagine a thousand or 2,000 K-State fans down there. I would imagine that there's more K-State fans to go to Colorado. I'd imagine there's more K-State fans to go to BYU, up in Utah. I think there would probably be more K-State fans to go to Iowa State this year. Heck, there might be more at Houston. This might be the lowest travel for K-State fans. If K-State wasn't in the Sugar Bowl like 18 months ago, I guess it'd be no, like, yeah, 18 months ago, there probably would be more. But a lot of the K-State fans who traveled to games, they were just there 18 months ago. So I think that probably lowered the number a little bit, but I don't expect many K-State fans at all at this one. Sadly, I won't either. We've got a handful left. Before we get there, another shout to our sponsors, Manhattan Brewing Company and Charley Hustle. Of course, Manhattan Brewing Company, the best brewery in the state of Kansas, make sure you're stocked up before the game on Saturday. So whether you're cracking a morning beer and enjoying the game right at 11, maybe you're going to wait for a victory beer, make sure it is Manhattan Brewing Company. Of course, the town-y wheat tastes just as delicious as home as it does tailgating. Shout out to Manhattan Brewing Company and Charley Hustle Vintage Made Fresh, home of the best officially licensed K-State game in the game shop at charleyhustle.com today. We got a twofer from Steve Z. If I had to pick a home and home with an opponent who has been a national champion in the last 15 years, who would it be? That is a great question. So I'm pulling it up right now just to make sure, I'm assuming you mean FBS, I mean, you know, because I'd probably honestly choose one of the, you know, FCS champions, you know, in heck, you know, UCF claims one, UCF claims a national title. So, oh, all right, so last 15. So that would go back, gosh, I'm trying to find the list. So I wouldn't want Alabama, I wouldn't want Georgia, let's see, probably, I mean, Florida State wouldn't be bad. This is horrible podcasting. So I would say, so your choices are Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State, Clemson, LSU, Georgia, and Michigan, honestly, Michigan, I'd probably choose Michigan, Michigan or LSU or Clemson. Clemson's in the dumpster right now, no, I choose Clemson, get me a home and home with Clemson right now. No, I'm going with Clemson, that's what I'm choosing, choosing Clemson, there you go. What is my perfect pizza, where's it from, what's on it, what kind of crust, et cetera. It's either the meat lovers from Minsky's on their traditional crust with ranch dressing to dip in the crust, or glory days, baked potato pizza, again, ranch to dip the crust. Those are my two favorite pizzas, again, I'm not some pizza purist, I either want gooey cheese and a ton of meat and a good sauce. I know some folks don't like Minsky's, I'm a big Minsky's guy, and then the baked potato pizza from glory days, nostalgia, there's one that opened up in Shawnee, but I remember going to town on baked potato pizzas in high school. Although Elazaron, I think that's how you pronounce it, again, you know, why I can't completely hammer folks who mispronounce stuff in Kansas City is pretty good too, so anything I've ever gotten there, it has been pretty good, so not a purist. All right, we've got two that are, you know, ending off topics. First one, ball or status cat, would I rather vacation in the mountains or the beach? I may do something on vacation, I like to go to museums, I like to go on, like tours of historic sites, breweries, distilleries. If I went to the mountains, I would just be hanging out at the cabin, I don't ski, I don't snowboard, I would definitely snap one of my legs if I even tried to learn at this point. But you know, if it's a group of buddies hanging out at the cabin, like, you know, I'll chill while folks are out there, you know, hot tub, hang out in town, a beach, never been a big beach guy, but when we went to Hawaii, I did some time down at the beach and had a good time, swim a little bit in the ocean. So I don't love either, again, like on our Hawaii trip, like, I had so much fun and very little of it had anything to do with the beach, but I'd probably choose beach, I'd probably choose beach. Final one from Mark, how early in the season is it too early for a Manhattan Brewing Company pumpkin batch? Or once it is in, stores are at the brewery, it is time, but look, it's Labor Day today as I'm recording it, I know the sun and the moon have all this stuff and that's what really determines when the seasons change, but no, the day after Labor Day, that's the official, you know, if I was Zara of the world, fall would start on the day after Labor Day and go until Thanksgiving, winter starts the day after Thanksgiving and goes until the end of February, spring goes from March 1st to Memorial Day and summer is Memorial Day to Labor Day. I don't care what the moons and the suns and all that type of stuff say, so there you go. But yeah, anytime, I can't wait to get my hands on some pumpkin batch. I might have to, I might have to call in, I might have to call in some favors to a Manhattan Brewing Company. I might have to text Jake and be like, "Hey man, can I get a case of the pumpkin batch?" You know, I'm a good steward of our partnership, can I get a case? So I might talk to him, so, alright, that's all we have folks, we'll have a game preview tomorrow where we will go over Coach Klimans, you know, media availability, so his press conference. I know we got Avery, there's a podium session and some of the other guys will get my keys to V, we'll get my picks to click, we'll get some game predictions in there as well. So for Chauncey Bosco, the best dog in the world, my name is Scott McFarland. We love you guys and go cats.
