Another, you know, look, there's 19 games left. They all matter. Padre's are currently a half game ahead of the Diamondbacks. They are three games up on both the Braves on the Mets. That's really not a lot of room for air now, right? You got to get right back to it after that tough loss last night. The Mets are playing. Let me see Cincinnati tonight. Great. At home. Mets have been playing great. Atlanta's home to Toronto. So hmm, although Atlanta did lose to the Rockies last night. So they did. And you know who pitched that game for the Rockies ran all the low pet or for the Rockies. Austin Gomber, old guy, Austin Gomber. I mean, the guy never loses a game except for every other game that he pitches. I guess so. But he pitched well last night. Dodgers are home to Cleveland tonight if you're wondering. Don't worry, Chris. I saw what show here. Tony looked like when he walked into Dodger Stadium today. So MLB just keeps a hater. MLB just keeps forcing these things on me. They're not forcing you. The thing is, is he's going to be the first 50 50 player in the history is the most popular player on the planet. But I don't need a new certification when he sneezed. Do you need to see LeBron James walk into the arena? I don't either. But they show it all the time. You know, but they're what I'm saying, rubbing elbows with the big boy. Scrappy MLB put this out on their own Twitter account. Like I can understand if it was a Dodgers account, but it was Major League Baseball. Major League. Let's see. Finishing Arizona tonight's at Houston. So time backs will be in tough. Dodgers have a tough weekend series as well. We'll see what happens in the crazy world of the 2024 Major League Baseball season where nothing is as it seems. It's true, especially last night when the Padres were victorious over the Tigers until they weren't. I was going to say what? Do I need to correct you? No, they weren't. And look, if you don't want to play, yeah, jump off, yeah, hang up and open it for somebody else. But we're playing for pride only today. Uh huh. Scrappy took the prize himself. Here, this was the prize. If you're watching on YouTube, watching the show on YouTube, Scrappy's got a new shirt on today that his best friend got for him. My best friend, meaning Chris, your best friend in the whole world got you this t-shirt. Scrappy loves horror t-shirts. So I got him a little horror t-shirt. That was actually supposed to be the prize today, but Scrappy took it for himself. It was nice. I like horror horror movies and like three other people, which is hilarious. You liked it. So I got it for you. But yeah, it's going to be a pride thing today. So you know, but it's just the way it goes. We're working on our September gift. Yes. Yes. As it were. Yeah, it's not gone. They're just, um, yeah, we'll have everything. We'll have you going back to Las Vegas before you know it. But for today, it's all about the pride and Chris versus the fans. If you had one shot, one opportunity to take down the human all the night himself, how would he do? Now is your time. Listen to me, this guy strangers. Now is your opportunity to win a prize. Well, I hope you know it, Jen, for Chris versus the fans starts now on 97 three, the fan. Real quick, all you fans football players, Justin Herbert is active, is active, active for week one. I don't, that was, was it really up for debate? Um, no, for other fantasy football players, and I will say this, if this is your fantasy quarterback, you do not have a good team. But Russell Wilson was limited in practice for the Steelers today. He may not start, which means Justin Fields starts. I guess so in Atlanta. I guess so. Here's my guess. Justin Fields starts. We never see Russell Wilson again. That's what really wouldn't bother me at all. Justin Fields is hoping. Yeah, that's what he's hoping for sure. All right. We'll get to those NFL news and notes. Yeah, we got some more stuff for you, I said a weird direction. You have to make it through three questions. Each question will make it or get more difficult. If you get the question right, you move on. If you get it wrong and Chris gets it right, you're eliminated. But if Chris gets it wrong, then you move on to the next question or you win. If you are a first time player, let us know and you get the first question for free today. But I would encourage all of you to save that for when there is a prize. And Chris versus the fan is presented by SD fat loss. Lose 20 to 30 pounds in just 60 days. Visit SD fat loss.com to schedule your free consultation. All right. Let's get started here with our first contestant. We're going to go with first name I saw was Bill. Bill, hello. Hello, Bill. Hey, hey, guys, how are you doing today? Pretty good. Pretty good. Bill, here we go. Question. Do they have a call you wild bill or just not that wild? Well, my wife does. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Maybe more info than we needed. But it was still funny. Hopefully your wife doesn't call you Buffalo Bill. That's a whole different thing. See, he got it. I got a laugh. Chris rolls his eyes and I got a laugh from. All right. Here we go. Question number one. Let's see. What was the count when Parker Meadows hit the grand slam for the Tigers last night? Three, two. Three, two is correct. Yeah. It was down to the nitty gritty. Don't cry. I still cry. Everybody is. Everybody. It was so shocking. Look out. My jaw sat there with my mouth of like that. That really happened. Okay. Yeah. Here we go. Question number two, Bill. What NFL player that's a non-quarterback has the most touchdown scored in one season non-quarterback NFL player with the most touchdowns in one season? Ever. Like Damian, like Damian, Jonathan. That's correct. He got it. Nice job. 31 touchdowns. healthy broken record a while ago. It's held up. Yeah. I think it was 2008 would be my guess on that. I went. I remember the Chargers went to San Francisco to play the 49ers. I was out the game. LT scored four touchdowns and the 49ers didn't even have a shot. I'll be honest with you. Of all of the athletes I've met working in San Diego and I know Tony's dad is way at the top of the list and there's nobody going to beat him ever. LT is one of the greatest guys of all time. Yeah. One of the greatest guys. I mean, he interviewed every interview. He just always had fun with it. Come on in and tell me I see you. There he is. There he is. very good. I really liked LT. Yeah, he was great. Yeah. Question number three. That's one I think is difficult, but before last night, Robert Suarez's last blown save came against which American league team. Let's take Toronto Toronto. Stay there, bro. You know, he was on my fantasy team all year. Robert Suarez. Okay. Yes. I traded him recently. Oh, so you stopped paying attention? So I stopped paying attention, but I'm saying this happened before I traded him. Oh, so I probably had some anguish. Oh, no. Along with this particular blown save you're talking about. Oh, gosh, you know this, but I can't remember. Oh, so I read somewhere where he hadn't wasn't it that the this was an amazing statistic, by the way. Sorry, I'm stalling. That's okay. They hadn't lost a game when they turn the lead over to their bull pen since June 2nd. That's unbelievable for any team to be able to do that. You think it would just happen July, August, September, September 6th, so three months was the last time their bull pen let a lead get away and they lost the game. That's why we shouldn't be so mad about last night. We really shouldn't be. I don't know. American League team. They just played a series game. Yeah, I don't know. Just give it a bill. All right, Bill, you wait for pride. I'm sorry. There's no pride. Yeah, we should do it. Bob, I enjoy doing it. All right. Thanks, Bill. Appreciate that. Don't hang up on it. Stay there, Bill. State. Why don't you take his info down? And when we get the monthly prize, which we'll probably have next week, you know, wouldn't build and can't we throw him in the hopper of the qualifier or was that skirting the rules? I don't know if that is a part of the rules since you announced it on the race. Bill, if that I'm going to check into that bill and I'm going to see if we can make some to happen because I know you call in every once in a while. So we'll try to get we'll try to get you in, Bill, but thank you very much for playing. Have a good weekend and hopefully there's some positive Padre. Who was the answer, by the way? Okay. Well, the last Bloom save happened on July 26th. That's the last time Robert Sorrows blew a safe against the Orioles. The at Baltimore, June 2nd. June 2nd. Now that was a game against Kansas City. He didn't pitch. He didn't pitch in that game, but he picked that was the last time they had a lead. Oh, and the bullpen lost the game. That had been that Sunday game because he pitched the night before. Right. It was a Sunday game against Kansas City. I think a strata was trying to come and see. I don't know. I think Cola came in for that game where they had to bring in Suarez and Cola gave up. That was the 11 to eight game on a Friday night where yeah, Cola gave up all those runs and then Suarez had to pitch on the Friday. Yuki Matsui lost the blown save on June 2nd. In Kansas City, they gave up three in the ninth and lost four to three. So that's, you know, who else who pitched before Yuki Matsui in that game against Casey on June 2nd. Are they on the roster still? No. Angel De Los Santos. He's not on the Yankees roster either. I don't know what roster he's on nowadays. I don't even know if he's on a roster anymore. You know, the pot, the pottery bullpen. He's oh, Chris. What? Is he pitching? I think he is, but I just got to confirm this. Yes. He is a Chicago white song. Oh boy. That's, that's, that's not cool. I don't do that to my man. Angel. Oh, that hurts. Now, here's, here's what a point I wanted to make before we get a break. That's unbelievable. The pottery bullpen. Look at how it is now. Okay. So think of who they have now. All the names. Here's who they don't have anymore in the bullpen. Angel De Los Santos, Johnny burrito, Steven Colick. I guess, you know, Logan Gillespie's back down. Tom Cosgrove, I think, finally came back up. But then he got sent back down, I think. Right. My point is the Padres were counting on guys back in April, May and June that really weren't very good to pitch the seventh eighth inning ahead of Suarez. Now they have Jason Adam and Tanner Scott. They're doing okay. They're a whole lot better. They're doing okay. Yeah. First time last night that, well, those first time a lot of things last night, Martin Perez hadn't lost the start. Tanner Scott had not been in a game that they lost. Yep. They hadn't lost the lead with a bullpen since June the second law. Anyway, a lot of stuff. Get those out of the way. That's fine. They're back to business as usual tonight. Hi. I'm kind of glad we, you know, they got to win tonight because the fans are going to get restless. I know how you fans are. You're going to get all, you're going to get all worried, but they've done this. This is what, you know, they lose maybe every two loses a few in a row, but the Padres aren't allowed to. Well, because everything's going so nice right now. So swimmingly, so swimmingly right now, we don't want it to end now. Maybe waiting for that shoe to drop. All right. Couple of big baseball moves were made today on the transaction wire. Some big names are coming back and some big names are going down. We'll talk about what we mean when we return after traffic from the mind of a two foot tall talking spokes puppet comes this year's biggest challenge. The thing that makes this throat close up every time he eats it. Anyway, sometimes I misjudge it and I take a bite too close to the return to the show. I can't even put my head. You know what I mean? Can't even do it. I guess it's the show starting and I'm still having finished my bite. So I apologize for everybody. This is what keeps scraping up at night. It's true. It's kind of stuff drives him absolutely nuts. And I don't know why, but it does. And I'm probably too old to change. You're not going to have to change. You can teach an old dog new tricks. Yeah, you can, but the old dog has to be willing to learn them. You know what Lucky's doing now, Chris? Because a young dog. He's a young dog. But I he can sit and then I tell him to shake. And then he gets the thing after the shake. So, but I was I said, sit. And now he does the shake every time. We got to go with the shake because then I get the treat. He's like every dog. As soon as they realize that they can get a treat by shaking, they don't need to learn anything else. Just go shake. Do you know what I say? People will give you stuff. Do you know what I say when I shake his hand or his paw? Oh, my little man. No, I say nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Well, you're hilarious dog owner. You are a couple of baseball notes. This is an interesting one. Because I think we think that we're the only team here in San Diego that, you know, fans are clamoring at the GM to do certain things and the GM doesn't always do it. And, you know, AJ doesn't do what we want. And sometimes he does. I mean, this year's different because AJ is having a great GM season. Yes. Yeah. But we know, you know what I mean? Yankees have an issue right now in New York. Alex Verdugo has been mediocre all season long. It's hitting 236. Got him from the Red Sox member in a trade or something. Yeah. 11 home runs 236 average. He's been okay. But, you know, Verdugo was much better back in the day with the Dodgers. Anyway, the Yankees have a phenom at AAA. You may remember this guy, the Martian. They called Jason Dominguez. Yeah. Well, he's already got seven home runs. Yeah. And he just homered the other day, like two days in a row. And everybody wants him back. And Brian Cashman said, no, we're good. I said, Jason's doing everything he needs to do right now in the minors. And Verdugo's playing a little bit better. So the evaluations that we're having say that giving us the best chance to win as of right now is staying with what we've got. Yankee fans less than pleased. I would be I'm with the Yankee fans. I know it's the point is, is it sounds like all the other fans? We have no patience of any kind. And every game matters. And don't forget the Yankees are going back and forth for first place right now with the Orioles. So people want Jason Dominguez. Remember, he was the I don't know for sure. But I'm pretty sure that AJ Preller asked for him in the Juan Soto trade. Even if he had no chance to get him. He wanted to get him though. He wanted to get him because Jason Dominguez is like the superstar. Right. He's 21. He's going to be incredible. For now, he stays in the minor leagues. Houston Astros get some good news today. And aren't we all happy when the Astros get good news? That good news is that Kyle Tucker, one of their star middle of the order bats has returned from the 60 day injured list. Three plus months, which was a small fracture in his right shin. He returns. Tucker's been an all star each of the last three seasons. He's a power hitting threat, etc. Had 19 home runs even before he got hurt. So the Astros just got a whole lot better today. Another team that got a whole lot better today, the Diamondback. Sorry to tell you, but could tell Marte is back after his injury stint, 10 day injury list. He's been activated. Marte miss 16 games. He ranks third in the NL 298 batting average. He's got 30 homers. He was making a run for MVP before he got hurt now. Now that case is being taken up for him by Francisco Lindor, who is kind of trying to chase down show Aotani. I'm sorry. You can't hit 262 and B Lindor. Yeah. Well, Marte's not hitting 260. He's hitting 298. That's what I'm saying. Lindor it. What? Let me see what he's sitting right now. That's a big deal. Arizona's only half game, as you know, behind the Padres in that wildcard race, they get their best player back today. Really could tell Marte. The only 275 is the only good news I could say for the Padres on that is that the Diamondbacks got there. One of their best players back. So did the Padres earlier this week with Fernando. So at least there's, you know, we kind of matched it. Yeah. One team got considerably worse today. It may cost them a playoff position. We'll see Philadelphia Phillies had to put third baseman Alex Bohm on the 10 day because of a left-hand strain. He's been out for about a week already. You know, Phillies are trying to hold on competing with the Dodgers for the top seed. But at the same time, they're also trying to hold off the Brewers to make sure they get a buy in the first round. Bad news for Philadelphia. Bohm is hitting 290. He's got 89 ribs. Fissing the national league stakes. Yeah. Is Kyle Swarber just like your favorite player who like shouldn't be anybody around here's favorite player? I mean, he's homered against the Padres a thousand times. Yeah. He's hit the ball over Petco Park. Yeah. But I just love Kyle Swarber. I mean, I know he's he's when he hits one, he really hits it. And I love the way it waddles around the bases. He's the closest thing we'll ever get to see to the bad being. Oh, I just get a kick out of Kyle Swarber. I'm sorry. He's, you know, I don't have any reason to root for him necessarily. But he, I, you know, he's kind of, I like him. And when he gets going, he puts together a nice little three home runs earlier this week, came back the next day with a lead off homer. I mean, when he starts bombing him, forget it. All right. Big five is coming up next as Gwyneth Chris continues. Stay with us. It's that time of the show. When we check on the latest in sports, only the most important topics and questions are brought to light. Stop what you're doing and listen. These news stories will astound and amaze you. The one, the only. Oh my god. Who the hell case? The big five starts now on 97 three, the fan. Now, I know we've talked about it a bunch today, but so we're going to start off with a Robert Suarez question. And it's not about whether or not he should be removed as closer as we've already said. It's ridiculous to think. Number five, but this is a question I got from someone on X. And I've seen it other places. So I'm going to bring it to the show. Robert Suarez's entrance is the topic of this. It's cool and everything, but some fans think it may be a little too much for him. They aren't sure that it fits his personality. Now no one really, you know, knows him, but they were saying seems like a quiet guy who just goes about his work and with little to no fanfare. And he's cool with that. So this whole entrance thing maybe is throwing him off. Chris, do you think Robert Suarez is open is throwing him off? Has it thrown him off the 30 times that he saved a game this year? I don't think they started this recently. Yeah. Well, he's had plenty of saves since they started this. First of all, I was a, I was a tad. I brought up his entrance about a month ago comparing it to Trevor's. And I thought it was lagging in comparison to Trevor's. But then again, I thought about this and Trevor's was so good that maybe nothing will ever, you know, quite live up to that. I really like Robert Suarez's open now. And the fact that the fans have gotten to be part of it by, you know, when the lights go down, they get the lights on their phone out. And when he's running in from center field, that shot of him running in with all of the, all of the lights on in the darkness. It's pretty, pretty impressive, pretty exciting. Actually, he's had nothing to do with his performance at all. And it wouldn't obviously even be a question if it weren't for one pitch that was hit last night. Um, Tony, I'm afraid to even ask. I don't even want to dignify this question. I will explain to you that I kind of thought, you know, it doesn't seem like Robert Suarez. I'm not saying it affects his. All due respect, Greg, just because you thought it doesn't make it a great question. I'm just saying, I get that has been on X. No, as Chris said, it has nothing to do with it, his performance. I think it's kind of cool. I don't think it reaches the level of Trevor's, but that doesn't make it not cool. Yeah. I've, I've at least on multiple occasions, thought about recording it from here because it is so cool. But then I get to it too late, and then it's like that. It's over. It looks good. I mean, they have the guy that runs, I love the guy who runs in behind him, the camera guy, the camera guy who runs in behind him, and then they go to that camera and then all of a sudden, all of a sudden, it looks like you're kind of him running in and you're getting a little feel for what it would look like to him. And I got to tell you, I mean, I'm not a, I'm not a rock star or anything, but that looks pretty, pretty good. You know, it looks like a little rock star type concert thing. So I'm sure he likes it. I, I'm sure that, you know, it doesn't have any effect on his pitching, but it gets everybody ramped up and I, I hope they keep, you know, I'm sure they'll keep doing it. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Got through that question, everybody. Barely. Barely, he says, um, where did my sheet go? It's about Isaiah likely. I know that it's about how he caught a seemingly winning touchdown, but, you know, the Ravens, they had that touchdown overturned because of a toe of Isaiah likely. And Patrick Mahomes, after the game, had a little bit of advice for Isaiah likely. And that would be to wear white cleats next time, which is actually a pretty good piece of advice, because his cleats are black and you could clearly see that he was stepping on the line. And, and if he wore white cleats, obviously it would make the rest have a hard time determining if it was out or not. So, Tony, do we now see players across the league where white cleats for this reason? Um, I don't think so. I think guys like to wear cleats that they look good and feel good in these ones happen to be black, but they also happen to go with what they will wear. And so, um, I think, uh, you're gonna see some guys maybe go that route, but I would say the large, uh, majority of guys will continue to pick style over substance in this case, because, you know, ultimately some of these guys will be like, well, he could have done a better job getting his whole foot in as opposed to just the toes. Yeah. By the way, I've seen this call go the other way with very same exact type of scenario. So, um, this might be the one, one of the flaws they have in, uh, their specific insta replay. But yeah, no, I don't think guys will, uh, will I go full? Let me wear white shoes and make it more difficult on the referee. Chris? Yeah, um, Tony is the shoe guy and he knows this way. He knows this way better than I do, but I agree with him. Players are always gonna go for comfort and looks over, you know, what would help them the most. Um, you're right. I think it's a, it's an interesting notion that Patrick Mahomes, who's the opponent, brings up, you know, to say if he had, because if he had white cleats on it really would have been a lot tougher to overturn that call. Whereas with the black cleats, it was clear to everybody, even if the NFL or the refs or whoever the conspiracy people are wanted this game, you know, to go to overtime or be decided by a two point play, they couldn't. I mean, everyone could clearly see that, you know, his toe was on the end line. So, uh, I like the notion. I was a little surprised afterwards that, you know, Lamar Jackson kept talking about how I thought this was a touchdown. I thought it was a touchdown. What are you looking at? There's no way it was a touchdown. I mean, I, I, I understand why you wanted it to be a touchdown, but unfortunately it wasn't. It was, uh, what it was was another unbelievable finish to an NFL game, which we talked about earlier. And this is what the league seems to get every single time out. And this is why we all watch. Yes, it was very exciting. The other thing I noticed too on the play guys, the replay has gotten absurdly good now. It has. I mean, how many camera angles did they have a lot showed his toe being on the line, like five different angles. And they're like super HD. Right. So there is nowhere to hide anymore. I mean, they, they're, they're going to be able to spot it. Number three. So, another game would be, uh, or another game. Sorry about that. The other thing in the game that I want to talk about is when Patrick, my homes, uh, was quote unquote pushed out of bounds by Rowquan Smith early in the game. Now my homes dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes after Smith kind of sort of pushed him in the back a little bit. They didn't call the flag or they didn't throw the flag. They didn't say it was a penalty. He said after the game, it was a great no-call. That's, uh, Rowquan Smith, because the ref, you know, he wasn't actually trying to finish the play out of bounds. He was trying to let off and then Patrick Holmes went down like a sack of potatoes as I said, Chris, should quarterback flopping counteract a late hit out of bounds. Uh, let's go. Let's put 15 yards on Patrick Mahomes for unsportsman like I was thinking that, but I love it. I kind of don't, I don't hate it. I, I will say this, somewhere there was a Cincinnati Bengal fan and or former player for the Bengals that was like, where was this no-call when we needed it in the AFC championship game a couple of years ago? Oh, yeah. Everybody remembers it was the shove out of bounds that set the Chiefs up for the field goal that put them into the Super Bowl. Um, it's, it's a slippery slope, right? I mean, if you tell, if you actually put an unsportsman like penalty in for a quarterback for flopping when he gets shoved, you're running the risk of some crazy stuff. But, you know, you'd like to see Patrick, I mean, look, you got to sell it. If you're Patrick Mahomes under the current rules, you got to sell it. You got to try to get your flag. Right. I'm going to do, I'm just going to give the official some credit, you know, for, for making the right call. You know, a lot of times these guys do fall for it. It's like wide receivers, you know, trying to draw past interference penalty. I mean, you have to be really, really careful out there. Sometimes before you throw the flag, but I'm going to say no, but I don't hate your, I don't hate the direction you're going. Okay, wow. Tony, should a quarterback flopping counteract the late hit out of bounds? I don't hate, I don't hate your idea. However, I do think it's a slippery slope. I think when, you know, in that particular case, he was out of bounds. My man, Ray Kwan Smith put his hands on his shoulder pads, but never pushed him. I don't blame homes for trying to sell the 15. It's work for him in the past. So, you know, it's part of, it's part of the gamemanship. Now, it sucks when it's your team that is the one that ends up paying the price for it, but this is a part of the sport, you know, unfortunately. I mean, they know that maybe tricking a referee into throwing a flag can result in something that helps their team. It's not just football. We see it in basketball. We see the elements of baseball guy claims he got hit by a bitch. He's like, bake limping and, you know, bake it. Those ones are hard to overturn too. So, you know, I think this is, this is just part of it. I think in the NBA, it got to the point where it was getting a little ridiculous. I mean, it was getting to be on almost every foul guys were falling down. So they had to feel like they had to do something. But I would say this, and I don't know if you agree with me, Tony, watching the NBA and college, which has the flopping rule. And by the way, high school is putting the flopping rule in, making it almost impossible on us referees. In basketball? But they don't get it right 90 percent of the time anyway. It's a really difficult one to call. So even though they've got the rule in the NBA, I think they only are able to get it right about, you know, half the time. It's the bad acting jobs that they end up docking. The obvious ones were like, bro, that he was like 15 feet away from you jumped across the whole floor over here. No, that's a tough call for sure. I mean, when Shaquille O'Neal was coming down the lane, how could you not get knocked onto the floor? No, you're supposed to call a flop on some guy. No, you can't because you were getting run over by a truck. You know, so that would be scary. I'd be like calling a defensive back for flopping when Derek Henry runs into them. You know, it's not right. That would be scary if Shaq was just running at you in his heyday. Tom Brady makes his Fox football debut this Sunday. No one really knows what we're going to get. There were no preseason warmups and there are restrictions put on Tom Brady because he's a partial partial owner in the NFL. So he's not even allowed to go into production meetings with players to find out information and anything like that. But Tony, what do you expect from Tom Brady in his first game as an analyst? I don't know that he'll actually enjoy this job as much as he thinks he does with all these stipulations on him. All right, because one of the fun parts about high great is like you get to go down and get the inside access and don't know. He's still pretty fresh from the game. So he may be able to do that for a little bit and it and it still be okay by him. But I mean, what I do know about Tom Brady is he's insanely driven. And I can't imagine him like kind of halfway doing this job. You know what I'm saying? So to me, he's either going to want to be an owner or he's going to want to do this. And my guess is probably a little more money at being an owner. And so I think eventually that's what it's going to come down to because I can't see him just kind of doing this job and not being able to like get down there and go to some of those meetings and where you get to meet the head coaching, you get to talk to him. Let me just say he's going to have to some of those he's not going to be able to do, right? Yeah. Yeah. That doesn't seem that's fun to me. I'm just saying. So I don't know what to expect. I think he'll be good. I think he's Tom Brady. He knows the game pretty well. He's very well spoken and articulate. So I think he'll be able to do the job in itself and do it well. But I don't know how long he's going to last with those type of stipulations. I think it's a fair point. You know, I mean, we're going to expect a lot from Tom Brady because we all know how much money he's making, right? I mean, they've advertised it, you know, the kind of, kind of, you know, contract he got to come in here with no 100 something million dollars. With no experience of any kind and supplanting somebody who we all enjoyed, you know, by the end, scraping didn't like him at the beginning, but by the end, Greg Olson, you know, people liked him. And now, you know, here comes Brady with no experience at all. So we're going to be expecting a lot, but I also think Tom Brady's going to expect a lot. I mean, this guy doesn't do anything half-ass. I wouldn't expect him to put himself in the position where he would, you know, look anything less than very, very good. But having said that, I think the fact that he can't get access is going to like Tony said, it's going to, it's going to be a big factor. He's not going to have the same insight. He might be able to guess on a few things, but he's not going to know. And he's not going to have this be able to bring us the same insight that other guys are going to. So yeah, I think he's going to have to decide. Does he want to be an owner? Does he want to be on TV? Because I really don't think he can be both and do him, you know, do it well. Tony, forgive me if I'm speaking at school. But one of the reasons you love your job that you have now is because you get to stay in the baseball world and you're talking with the guys and you feel like you're a part of things. 100%. I think that is so valuable. And you being able to do your job right. Now, it doesn't mean you need to have a conversation with an art sport. We plan every day, right? So I don't need to go down there and have a conversation every day with them. And they'll get, they probably get tired of you. So they go, here comes Tony. I don't know. We have a conversation with you every day. We get to squash the bug again. So, you know, you pick your spots and, you know, you let the kind of season develop and you pick, you know, new things that are developing as the season goes on, you go down there and you have these conversations. But I wouldn't be able to, well, I'm almost 10 years removed from last time I was on a field. I don't know that at this point, especially the way the game has changed since 2015, that I would be able to talk to the people who are listening in a way that is compelling and that makes them want to listen. If I wasn't able to, if I was just like showing up to the field, doing this show with you guys and then just staying in this booth like every day all day. That, I mean, beside it being prison, I would, you feel, you feel further and further away. And so, you know, as I said, he's what three years removed now. Tom is four years. Yeah, I think three. Three years. He's pretty, he's still pretty close. You know, he still, you know, guys are still, they still know who Tom Brady is at his point. He'll be fine. But I think as he gets further and further away, it's going to be tougher. And I think for him from a personal standpoint, he's not going to, he's not going to enjoy this much. Do we know a game he's on this weekend? Because I don't know that we get his game necessarily. We'll get it on the red zone, Chris. Well, yes, you'll hear some of this. His last year was 2022. So this is his 30. This is going. What's the national game of the week this week that he's Dallas Cleveland, maybe? I think that's it. But let me make sure. I don't. I think that's it. Oh, I think that's it. Oh, I think that's it. You see. Well, let me just add to that, don't spray me. The Dallas Cleveland game is not being aired in San Diego. So we won't be able to see his full performance this week. I guess I was reading earlier too that he was calling practice games like all season or all off season. So he's been doing this. But he's not going to be the same. Practice is practice, but you got to have the insight at that level. And he's not as much as he knows, he's not going to know everything now. Keep going. I'm going to try to find this game. That's all right. We'll keep going on. What? We already had something more to say. No, I'm good. We don't have anything else. You see, I've got nothing more to say. It's Cowboys Browns. Cowboys Browns. Thank you. I move on. He expects to the defensive game, according to this. Dave is back here throwing his hands up as you mentioned the Cowboys. And the Cowboys. How are the Cowboys on the game of the week? Well, I mean, really? Oh, what a shocker. Shocker. We really want to see Cowboys Browns every time they play the Cowboys or the Browns. Exactly. That's the point. Ridiculous. We have an NFL game tonight, guys. It's starting to hit pretty soon. Yeah. Green Bay, baby. Let's go. Let's go. Number one side note, you can't make the reporters can't use X down there. So they're having issues with communicating to the masses. That's right. It just get bad. Yeah. So. So they. Oh, it's banned in that country. And some players are sending things back to their fans their wives to tweet for them from the United States. That's great. So I think the NFL messed up on this one tonight. Well, here, let me get into this question, Chris, the NFL, as we just said, there's going to play the first game tonight in South America between the Packers and the Eagles that they're going to play five games abroad this season with eight expected by next season as it looks to increase its revenue as sources and commissioner Roger NFL needs is increasing its revenue because I was getting a little worried about them. Commissioner Roger Goodell has said he prioritizes international growth for the league over anything else. So Chris, I know, I believe I know what you're going to answer by how much is too much? Well, I'll tell you when it's going to be too much. When we're getting ready for a new season and they say this year, there's going to be 12 games actually played on American soil and the rest are played abroad. The rest are going to be played abroad. When we can start counting the number of games that are played here, then they'll have gone too far. But that's a good point. I just, you know, the whole this whole thing with the dangerous, you know, the green coloring and I just don't know that anyone's going to be comfortable down there tonight. The green, you're not supposed to wear green, even though the NFL swears. That's not a big deal. But other people do swear it is a big deal. Everyone swears that if you wear green in Sao Paulo, Brazil, you become a target of violence. Oh, I don't think Tony, Tony was on the big fire made in various way, was saying that he doesn't even want to go and then he backtrack quickly after the time. But they were saying that if you if you wear green in that particular part of the world, you become a target yet for violence and that we were the joke is is that the both the Packers and the Eagles were green. It was just the, is this rolling around on X? It's not like a rumor. Remember when Josh Jacobs told said that the NFL told him that and then the NFL came out and said no, we didn't tell him that. But the only reason Josh Jacobs knew about green had to be because the NFL told him that, right? It was a thing. It was a thing, Tony. It was not a scrapey made up. Thank you. Finally, I'm not I'm not I'm sorry. I wasn't insinuating that you made that up. I make very bad points all the time. But this is not saying that I'm saying that I don't know who I just would like to know where the source of this came from. Is this from Josh Jacobs basically saying that we can't wear green and then everybody assuming that they'll tell him that. It's Josh Jacobs heard it from somewhere that he felt compelled enough to tell everybody he was nervous about going down there. And from there, that's kind of taken on a bit of a life of it. Because the Eagles are wearing their black jerseys. Oh, they are. So they didn't mess around with the great Eagles were why I read that they were white with black pants, black helmet. Oh, there we go. Okay. Packers are wearing green. I guess Jersey's being the top, right? Yeah. Jersey's is the form is the whole ensemble. Jersey's are the yeah. Jersey's is another one. I don't know where we're at in this. Well, Tony, it isn't too much. Um, we're probably at the we're probably I think we're probably at the limit right now. Oh, I think that's where I don't. Why do you need to have more games? I mean, you have there now. Eight games this year is a lot next year next year, next year, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, no. All right, eight, eight, eight of eight will be the max then. That should be the max. I don't think it will be the max. I mean, pretty soon we're going to be going to countries that are, you know, we've never even we're not familiar with at all. Yeah. Today from Nepal.
