live from State Street in the heart of Chicago you are listening to the new home of the Chicago Bears ESPN Chicago and this is Captain J. Hood W M V P W T B C H D to Chicago a good Carmen Brand's radio station good morning Chicago and welcome in to the Captain J. Hood morning show on a ESPN 1000 and streaming on the ESPN Chicago app with David Kaplan Jonathan Hood with you we have got Shane we've got Charlie and we've got you here on this Tuesday morning 3 1 2 3 3 2 3 7 7 6 star phone number still to come this half hour we're going to hear from Jesse Rogers with the latest in the Cubs and Sox and everything else MLB that comes your way at 918 but with a great conversation we have an Albert Brere moments ago we did and he said it got you know a couple of ballots have come in with Kayla being one of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL at the end of the season how about this note no starting rookie quarterback Ben Devine tweeted this no starting rookie quarterback selected number one overall has won the week one game in the NFL since 2002 Kayla Williams aims to change that Wow how about that so that's very layered so it speaks to teams not ready to win teams are horrible but you have the number one pick correct you might have a quarterback you believe in but your team's not ready you remember who the 2002 number one overall pick was I do not David Carr yeah I believed him in when he was drafted I did where do you go Fresno or Houston Fresno I believe I believe was Fresno State I believe them at that time shows you though cap what we talk about where you can have a quarterback you can believe it you can throw for 10,000 yards and could be awesome then he gets to your hitched you know hitches his start to your wagon and your wagon sucks and he can't move correct well now the quarterback looks horrible because your team's that ready to win and this is the whole point of the Chicago Bears this is the whole point of the 2024 Bears cap in which we have seen or seen some we haven't seen before especially around here where all right kid we believe in you as a quarterback but here's two veteran wide receivers and here's a rookie wide receiver and here's an extra tight end if you need in them here's a veteran running back along with two other running backs and here's an offensive line still working progress but good enough to give you time to throw you remember your time in college okay so forget what you learned in college you got to get the ball out in two and a half seconds okay so just connect to your guys connect to your guys don't turn it over just connect to them understand the process you have a veteran offensive coordinator let's go now compare that to other situations cap other situations work we know that you're great but the offensive line sucks and we got one weapon for you can barely run the football all right go ahead right give us ten wins like all the sudden you're like I got no chance here yeah but if you look at our situation in Chicago you got solid offensive line it's not spectacular it's not the Lions DeAndre Swift pretty good kid DJ Moore pretty good kid Keenan Allen whoa six-time pro baller Roman Dunes a mean you got coal commit you got some weaponry yes and a really good defense so let's go just think about what Dak Prescott went through when he first got into the league cap you think about in 2016 23 touchdowns 400 receptions again we're here's a guy here that was originally a third string quarterback he showed up and you look where he is now he's gonna cash in again now Russell Wilson when he first came to the league a backup to Matt Flynn team wasn't ready to win yet but when they got Russell Wilson going here we go CJ shroud's a great example of what Caleb Williams can be able to follow remember CJ shroud 20 touchdowns of five interceptions 143 rushing yards and three touchdowns from running the football we want the bears to replicate or actually supersede what the Texans did last year what they did offensively shroud is the anomaly very few examples of the quick the rookie quarterback coming in and making making the team that much better paying dividends right away think about it Andrew Luck CJ shroud Justin Herbert very few examples of the rookie quarterback all right go in there sonically and make it happen we want that for Caleb Williams we do now they've put him in a good situation now you got to go out execute let's go take care of freaking business yeah that's what it is think about those rookie quarterbacks asked the guy over your shoulder she norling about Mac Jones hey he almost won rookie of the year now 22 touchdowns 13 interceptions if not for Jamar Chase he would have won rookie of the year I get it but just think about the production that you first saw when you first saw him and you thought man if Mac Jones is gonna be any good you need a lot more well that should be the lesson to the bears Mac Jones right there that's the lesson to the bears do not hire Matt Patricia as the offensive coordinator for year two don't do it don't even entertain the thought that's fair you'll take a rookie of the year and turn them into Trevor Lawrence's backup hmm think about it think about Baker Mayfield when he first came to the league with the Browns in 2018 he took over for Tara Taylor that year and Bakers had a nice career not great career nice been able to handle it pretty well we would like cap for Caleb Williams to supersede the Baker Bayfields and the Mac Jones and God the Deshawn Watson Deshawn Watson threw for 1700 passing yards 20 touchdowns in interceptions when he came to the league pretty good but we like for him to get even better than that to lead the bears to the playoffs and and here's the thing he's not gonna do it alone that's the whole key to all this cap he's not doing by himself all right kid it's on your arm you gotta lead it well I don't have any I don't have a wide receiver no no you got plenty to work with that's what we could take solace in correct so let's go out and support the young kid with a bunch of talent around him and look and and but if we go back to our conversation at seven o'clock hour about polls versus Eber Flus in that yes they all are 10 and 24 but imagine if the general manager said no we're gonna slowly keep building this thing or the organizations cap would have done at off-season a whirlwind off-season like this one other general manager's like all right here's another wide receiver and here's a veteran offensive lineman but we're still building you don't have time in the NFL anymore man you don't have time to wait he went out and added a lot of talent to this yeah yeah I mean in so many sports like baseball where a general manager feels comfortable it's like yeah here's your hairy chest of slugger first baseman here's an extra picture all right let's see what happens polls did so much in the off-season to try to get you in a position to win now we also saw on the Giants hard knocks where the Giants GM Joe Shane said all right our competition on Saquon Barkley looks to be the Bears and the Eagles like Paul's really was in there on Saquon Barkley yes and then it got a little too rich for his blood he's like I'll take swift this is why polls took the challenge I'm saying yeah if I could put it in my own image absolutely I'll take the job but you got got out of the way George get out of the way and I'm tearing it all the way down it's your give George credit man give him credit he said okay do it and that's where I think like we talk about the 10 and 24 and how Ryan polls gets flowers for the rebuild but it feels like a lot of fans are dropping those same flowers on eber-fluces casket I would just remind everyone before last season Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes and Detroit were 12 and 20 yep the first couple years when you go as barren as the Bears did are supposed to be bad so the idea that you're 10 and 24 right now yet stings doesn't feel good but this is a totally new team this is the year where you really start to find out what these guys are all made of how about the captains for the Chicago Bears because some of those captains that you're talking about shade those difference makers they might have a see I gone there on their chest about this yeah I don't know I don't know I don't I may I haven't really I mean I've thought about it already but I don't know if I'm gonna do it or not so right now we got eight captains I think they're at this their solid group it's not sure about the honorary captains but yeah I haven't had that before but again I put it to a vote had it with the offense and defense and had the guys rank those guys and he came out really high so when all those guys did that's what's great about it and we had other guys that had great great votes to just not enough to get a vote but that's a really good sign that he's got leadership throughout the entire team to your point cap about how the locker room will be unhappy with Justin feels gone well a lot of the guys the locker room said yeah the quarterback QB1 kill Williams should be one of the captains that tells you all you need to know it tells you all you need to know well he earned his spot there this was not the bare stuffing the ballot box this was his teammates voted him in and then you heard guys saying this dude's done everything we've asked and he's been amazing let's go tell you all you need to know right yes this is why when we get into these conversations or read this stuff on social media about feelings and whether or not you feel someone's likable I don't like him I don't like what comes down to is whether or not the player or the team is winning this whole thing about feelings and whether or not I like him or not or what I put my poster on my but with his poster on my wall it doesn't matter that's the guy who help you win is he out of the police blotter you know the good citizen yeah I don't want to get calls from different people I know it run clubs or places in town bars you won't believe who's in here at midnight you got a game tomorrow then they give me a name of a player who's no longer here I'm not talking about Justin I don't want to get those calls I want to hear that our guys are locked in ready to roll what if it's me what do you get the call that I'm out in the club here's my card I'm paying for all his drinks he needs to be sober when he gets back in the station take his keys oh who told you that darmon's picking him up if it's me drinking by the way as an aside talking about not Ryan polls but Ryan Pace we're down to four four draft picks remaining on the roster of his own so so wait tavern Jenkins Cole commit Jalen Johnson in the kicker they didn't draft Cairo Santos kicker Cairo Santos was originally a pace acquisition yeah yeah not drafted mm-hmm that's all it's left is for a lot of offensive lineman Larry Borham a 2021 fifth round pick is on injured reserve okay so there's five and then Patrick scales six so six players but four draft picks remaining I think three draft pyro Santos was signed as a free agent off the scrappy mm-hmm so three draft picks plus Borham was a draft I don't know if scales was an undrafted sign or not he was a pace signing I don't know if he was a draft pick don't remember and that's it but this is where it's getting down to now so here you go like you're going to get up as a situation in a word this is polls team like his full image nothing wrong with some of the pace guys I mean he would have looked down to players he can use but at some point it's gonna be all polls guys correct clean in house think about that leaving the house according to the athletic the polls first roster had 14 pace draft picks and then last year he had nine now we're down to four and likely retiring this feature will be as commit and Johnson will be in Chicago for the foreseeable future yeah Caleb will you a rather cold commit's gonna be here for a while yeah he signed a big extension good dude and a good player so and Jalen Johnson a monster mm-hmm so it's uh it's just interesting along with Tyson Beijing of course it looks good cap we've been looking at this depth chart every day since the season ended how it was just too many people then you whittle it down all the way to the backup quarterback it looks really good now you just have to win and I it by the way Beijing played in five games with four starts last season he threw 143 passes completed 94 of them 94 for wonderful 94 passes he completed 143 passes and was not embarrassing either by the way he lost a couple games but it wasn't overwhelmed two and two but wasn't overwhelmed two and two and again there were people on that coaching staff that wanted to stick with him over Justin unestaltable probably because they thought teachable like whatever issues they just felt the offense ran better mm-hmm but you had to finish it out with Justin that way all right does he get better no okay we're gonna move on yeah that's all we're moving up we're not you're not winning anyway so let's just see where we are maybe Justin can get us a better draft pick I'm so excited it's Tuesday already we had a game on Thursday Ravens achieves to be a lot of fun Friday night Packers and Eagles and Sao Paulo Brazil and then the bear on Sunday yep oh baby Jesse Rogers the latest in the Cubs and Sox and everything else MLB that's next on cap and J.H.A.M. J.H.H.R.R. back and you know this man Chicago's home for Sports ESPN Chicago and it's a cap and David morning show on ESPN 1000 and streaming on the ESPN Chicago app now let's turn to the hotline that would be the car X tire and out of hot rattle rattle thunder batter boom boom boom good morning Jesse how are you I am good good morning to both of you good to hear you guys back together yep good to be back it's game week for the beloved Bears but a little angry with Jorge Lopez will get to him in a moment what is going on with Justin steel yeah I mean they're gonna find out today or tomorrow but look elbow soreness that usually doesn't go away within a few days now he had a little bit of this last year but it took a little bit of time to get back it doesn't mean their surgery on horizon or anything like that but I can't see him pitching in the next week or two or maybe even the rest of this month so you have to expect that he won't be back and then hope that he will be I mean imaging will tell the story by imagine they're gonna give him at least another turn through the rotation so that's we're getting late at that point so we'll see hopefully it's not anything serious but he did have a little something like this last year and it did come back pretty quickly all right let's talk about last night's ballgame they've got a 3-0 lead I'm gonna read you this stat this is from Opta stats tonight that was last night marks the first time that Chicago Cubs were up 3-0 or better in the eighth inning or later at Wrigley only to blow the lead all in one inning and lose the game since you remember I don't game six of the 0-3 NLCS against the Marlins ha ha ha that's a good one that is a while I guess I can't wait I trust me you know me I have the bad takes with Craig council all the time I can't fault him though I know he was at 89 pitches after seven now if it was after six and he pulled him I'd be all over him seven innings I mean Jorge Lopez had a 0.87 ERA in August he had a hell of a month you're trying to get six outs and it's not a one nothing lead it's a three nothing lead which is you know if it's one nothing you might leave your starter in because no margin for error with a reliever but three nothing I don't mind the cushion six outs to get he just screwed it up he threw some bad pitches look they're walking a tight rope they just came back huge against the pirates other teams are allowed to come back on them and and that's what happened last night it's a killer loss though it's my editor texted me this morning Cubs wildcard you know contenders September 2nd to September 3rd because it like it really felt that bad that that you know they lost that game last night they're just behind the eight balls why do you call him your editor just say Danny no actually my editor in Bristol is Danny as well so I have two dannies that were we're thinking the same thing exactly right I don't know Jesse it's a bad take Jesse Jesse the the pirate series and then I consider this a gauntlet this gonna be very difficult this will tell the story about the Chicago Cubs the next week to 10 days want it I mean Yankees come in here on September 6th 7th and 8th into the Dodgers on the road so even though the Cubs have played well against Pittsburgh and Washington how difficult is this stretch will this tell you by the time you get to September 11th who the Cubs are yeah I mean I already think that it they're back to 3.9 percent according to ESPN making the playoffs Jay Hood so I think I already know I think we already know it was a nice little surge it's still a very very much of a long shot it just is and look the strength the schedule is now flipped remember it was one of the easiest because they just knocked off all those games they're now mid-pack strength to schedule the rest of the way because of the guy the teams you just mentioned Atlanta's strength the schedule ranks 25th I mean they have nobody for two weeks here so it's really really a long shot Jay Hood I don't really need to see the next week unless they go undefeated or something crazy like they just did on the road trip you know going eight and one so I don't know it's not that big of a deal I mean it is definitely a step up in class it's just too bad because you know there was so many good vibes yesterday before the game I had a long conversation with Dan's B Swanson and I asked him was that one of your best road trips he goes I actually told this to the team as we embarked on it in 21 the Atlanta Braves won nine in a row on the road including games and series in DC and Miami where the Cubs were and he's like I reminded our team it is possible and then they went out one you know eight of nine but then lost last night so I it's just a killer loss I know it's just one but everyone is meaningful now Jay Hood I just don't see it happening and the great council by the way cap the great council you think he's top five as manager taking on Boone and also was after Los Angeles with their manager tough they Roberts so I'm going to the game tonight Jesse and when I see you there seat geek and bought two tickets I'm taking my son I was looking for skeens and steel now I get skeens and my guy Kyle Hendricks what are you expecting in this matchup well what we see last week I mean the pirates got out to a big lead in the cubs storm back you know Kyle's gonna probably give up some runs the pirates have hit him well the Cubs have done well again skeens but at some point you know he's probably gonna get their numbers so you got to survive to the middle innings you know skeens isn't throwing a hundred and ten pitches they're not gonna abuse him so try to keep it close to the middle innings and your bullpen which has been good until last night certainly can out pitch the pirates bullpen it just didn't happen last night so that's what I expect like at best you're you're hanging in there at worst you know we saw what happened last week they kind of got to Hendrix now I don't think council pulled Hendrix quick enough last week they were lucky to get that that comeback because council would have been in the cross here is like you've got to manage like it's the playoffs and if you see Hendrix on the ropes you got to make a move you've got Drew Smiley who's pitched well you know as a long man there so I wonder if Craig will have a quicker hook this week than he did last week cap so for you is it skeens or is it the field for rookie of the year because I think Jackson Merrill has been terrific for San Diego my God there's some good NL rookies there's some really good NL rookies Jackson Cheerios 20 years old up in Milwaukee and leading them with yellow he's a monster he's an absolute 20 years old cap how did they get him? Cheerio in they drafted him yeah was not so that was not an international signing thing I don't believe so I have to check that for sure small market Milwaukee getting past the cub and already signed a kid do a like a billion dollar extension yeah huge deal any and he's only gotten better since y'all just went down that is just unbelievable how how there's the NL is stacked I you know pass and took schemes I'm taking Merrill yeah I'm taking Merrill what he has done in clutch moments is unbelievable by the way for a 20 year old for a 20 year old he was international not trapped yeah that is way my my my bad I blank for a second there I'm gonna take Merrill Padre's gonna be in the playoffs pirates won't be schemes is great he'll have his day I'm gonna take Merrill just because he's what and done in in clutch moments if anybody looks under the hood Jackson Merrill's numbers are incredible when the games on the line that doesn't always transfer one year to the next so yeah maybe he'll be bad next year but he's good this year I'm gonna give it to Merrill but a lot of people are gonna go for schemes I know that by the way last December hoodie this dude signed an eight year 82 million dollar deal with two options for 2032 and 2033 you say eight year 82 million yeah for a song 20 year old kid he was 20 isn't it interesting it feels like the smaller market teams are able to sign up their stars quicker than the bigger market teams you know Bobby which signed cheerio I don't know maybe it's maybe I'm thinking yeah I work out for all those 2016 Cubs who I don't want to take an extension how that work out for any yeah you know but who knows maybe right exactly but who knows maybe if they'd signed earlier in their career they would have been able to relax and just play ball there's something to that the closer you get to free agency the more you start squeezing the bat sometimes sometimes so I don't know I don't know what the answer is we can't go back and replay you know what if Chris Bryant signs and after 17 or something maybe as a better career I don't know but yeah I mean the brewers are set up with this kid for a bunch of years any sax news just starting to count the days when it's 31 and 108 kid just starting to I again went what wins the next win when is the next win they don't they don't face anyone special on the mound and I polevitch on built they're still gonna lose more and polevitch is pitching more polevitch is pitching for the Orioles he'll still beat the white guy you want a father that's still beat the white side there's no question about that so do you believe that they will eclipse the the Mets record yeah I mean it's just a matter of when not if and it's probably gonna happen mid-month not end of the month which is just insane you know I was I wrote a story about the Rangers today and their inability to repeat and their GM was really honest about basically what Theo used to have broken offense the Rangers offense broke if you look at all the under-achieving teams this year the Reds the Cardinals the Rangers it's all about their offense and even the White Sox I knew their pitching staff was gonna be bad but their offense is really under-achieved and that is perplexing when you consider at least some of the names on there right it should be better and it just hasn't been and and that's why I think Chris gets is looking for anything anybody that isn't has an offensive background a good hitting background whether be coaches or manager and that you're gonna see is the big change in the offseason they're gonna leave their pitching stuff alone but hitting wise they've got to change things up listen Jesse I know that they're they're gonna be bad and they're gonna be bad next year the only thing I need from you from the Sox is to find out what sucker is gonna take the next the next opportunity to be the manager of this ball club and oh it's not greaty because size more I think just from this sample size he's had enough he's already grained like a president already yeah so just yeah all I want to know from you is moving you know through the winter what sucker is gonna take this job it's gonna be fired in two years I think we'll have a better idea throughout this month of September but I think it's really going to be one of those young coaches that you can grow with that that maybe has a hitting background it's certainly not gonna be a major established manager now I know Bob Nightingale throughout Skip Schumacher because he's the worst guy I mean there's a chance I suppose but otherwise I see it as a third base coach hitting coach someone with that kind of a background with some gravitas at least with you know some somebody that's done something a little bit in the game and coming in to grow with why would they take this job it's one of 30 cap and if you're if you can get a five-year deal that would help yeah but if you're any good you're gonna have other teams that want you I'm not giving away five years deal are you kidding me really good Jessie five years right he probably won't get the five years I mean you're right to me Seattle and and there's good chance Cincinnati are gonna be open those are much better attractive jobs so you they probably won't get the cream of the crop like the first guy you know available but you got to find the right guy for this situation God Almighty taking that's job gotta be some system hitting code somewhere in double A they can get it right in your system yeah sure that is virtually he's with the ball club now virtually put him in there he's the third base coach fine just slide him over yeah it doesn't matter this seems done it's dead it is dead dead dead by the like a VL one positive on the way out I wrote the elevator at Riggly with one George McCasky last night oh what he was wearing a number seven Jersey but no name on it no name on it and he was getting off on the fourth floor where the suites are and I gave him a good luck this Sunday George and he said thank you Jesse and we that was our parting weight that was it that's my that's my encounter with George McCasky did he say anything about his segment on our show letters to George he did not mention that he did not I'm just a fan I'm not a football evaluator okay well there there you have it and hoodie hoodie mad dog in an hour do you know what's wrong Jesse Rogers gonna be on the high heat MLB network radio you're on the TV I'm gonna be there Jesse talking about the White Sox they're future and horrible horrible team Jesse give me a few minutes and just sucks so it's more terrible go love it that's gonna be an hour you're gonna be on mad dog on high heat on MLB television that's exactly tell dog we said hello to will do will do and hoodie you do better him than him I think it's gonna be confused you'll be flustered about the White Sox it's gonna be sure Cobb's just down to mix three and a half out still it's you're doing this on that guy at council how do you want to go ahead so good all right boys I'll talk to you later in the week all right Jesse Jesse Rogers car ex-tire and I know how rattle rattle thunder batter boom boom boom you feel that don't worry call the correct snare snore palm is next on cap and J-hood follow Chicago's home for sports on Twitter at ESPN 1000 cap and J-hood are back on ESPN Chicago Chicago's home for sports you are looking live downtown Chicago the windy city as we get ready for new installment of snore palm I'll look around the college landscape and we turn to a host here Shayne Orling Shayne this music by the way SEC on CBS enough with the big ten on CBS garbage enough this will always be SEC on CBS brand Nestler turn to Gary Daniels and it said oh god we got deal with this every week dude what the hell did you see the CBS late work television we're doing Ohio State Akron at 2 30 what yeah everyone no wonder for and got out of the game he's on coming holy cow that big 10 package yeah he's dead 230 on CBS cap was a must watch you turn it on get your best SEC game oh my god here we go now they've got horrible big ten action okay so long Gary Danielson Minnesota Purdue doesn't do it just oh man I turn a peacock all the time it's like oh that's right you got the NBC package you got the big ten package - that Saturday night and it's Minnesota and Purdue and Iowa I was scored 40 points though all right we turn now to Shayne Orling with the first installment of snore palm shake yeah I've got my top 12 for college football the power rankings if you will how about that cap week one power rankings here we go pro power rankings every Wednesday college every Tuesday at 935 I have 12 of them because we have a 12 team playoff I'll run through these fairly quickly at 12 a new entrant the biggest riser in the rankings for Maine also college University of Southern California impressive hoodie they play defense now apparently that that team is good impressive yeah I was I gave I gave Chris Black a little fight on after that because even though they're his coach still don't understand time management they found a way to win the ball game yeah that was and Miller Moss at the end of the game needing to touchdown drive down the field he was really impressive that team just looks good yeah you see Caleb tweeting about him yeah he's still so that's 12 SC 11 11's Utah no longer a literal pig farmer at starting quarterback they get cam rising back and if you don't know I'm not making a joke last year they were so injured they pulled a guy off of his pig farm and had him play quarterback Bryson Barnes this is correct this year they have a real quarterback they were impressive in week one they should win the big 12 Utah's 11 all right 10 10 Missouri long returning players on offense Heisman candidate at a wide receiver Luther Burden he's this year's Marvin Harrison Jr. 51 nothing cruiser over somebody Murray State there we go week one I love Mizzou I have all offseason 10 for me all right a drink what's to him number nine Miami the hurricanes they walked into the swamp and they ended Billy Napier's career that's done dead man walking Billy Napier's gone at cam Ward looked great he did I don't know how you walk into the swamp and just be that calm did you notice on every play he was like 50% speed yeah I think it was because he's calm and very good I also think he might have been on Kway Lutes I'm not sure what it was I'll tell you this though it was so bad for Florida usually I would troll Alex Brown as a Georgia guy I didn't even didn't even pick up the phone leave me bothering because I know he's suffering Captain closer to 111 than a bowl game we should get him on this week and we control him while he's on and get his thoughts on the bear I mean that's fine I just I felt so bad for him I didn't even usually after every loss I'm giving it to him give him the business didn't even do it I just I felt so because that team is in tatters it's Florida Florida the co-eds the the ocean the campus the tradition and that's what you do home man that's horrible two and a half point dog at home they lose by 31 good night 31 yeah blown up cap they're they're really bad poor Dan Mullins on TV he should be on the sideline if they were good Mullin was there yeah number eight shade Alabama yeah they're five in the preseason poll I'm lower on them than that it was a freight train win over Western Kentucky I still don't know if the bores ready for the SEC they have the most potential of these bottom four and the power rankings teams to move into the top four let's go up dollar number seven Penn State nobody just walks into Morgantown and wins like that man not when West Virginia's good they they looked very impressive and the biggest thing for me Drew Aller the quarterback yeah after last year looking like a spaghetti noodle trying to throw the football he looked confident I was around a number of West Virginia fans over the weekend and they were just sullen and just like couldn't believe that they got not just not just lost Shady they just got blown off the line of scrimmage got destroyed yeah I mean West Virginia at home so give I don't you know I'm not a Penn State guy give them credit number seven number six Ole Miss they scored 100 points week one if they wanted to their team this year that might score every time they touch the football that offense is incredible number five Shea five falling out of the top four my Oregon Ducks yikes here here's Charlie Bevin Charlie good Charlie look get get ready to realize kind of how annoying Oregon fans can be now that they're on such a national Big Ten level we're gonna get a lot of this brother you're not supposed to play like that you're better than that aren't you that's a that's too tight it wasn't even at the kibby dome it was in odds I know it was the kibby handles play I know do you have a one-on-one with them do you you have to do a two-on-one with the the vandal uh that's that's horrible and by the way the guy at the bar could not find the game and I said hey by the way Oregon's in the Big Ten now okay I'll find it oh seriously seriously the adjustment this one's on Fox I wouldn't have been able to find a pack 12 networks so it's like yeah got couldn't find the game because Oregon has changed number four Shea top four teams in the country cap we owe an apology to the people of South Bend I said on Saturday if Notre Dame walks into Kyle Field at night week one to open the season and walks out with a win I will tip my cap and call them one of the four best teams in America I will go one step further that is the single best defensive secondary in the country it is incredible capture win in front of 105,000 people some of your fans sure but mostly at Kyle Field 105,000 people and win on the road like that give them credit give the Irish credit that was a signature win for them and it would be hard pressed to find another loss on that schedule after this one they're in the playoff today they're gonna lose to USC they're in the playoff today I would agree I mean I was impressed by the resolve of that team to win on the road in that environment but Marcus Freeman also has to prove he doesn't stop his toe in a game where oh god they lost him oh oh you're right can you believe this is the same dude who lost to Marshall in his first game as that coach yeah guy give the brother a chance they look good and then see if he can get past Northern that secondaries unbelievable let's go huskies yeah shot the world baby Saturday is against the NIU let's take a look see NIU over the weekend they won they put 60 up classic NIU I guess against western Illinois all right number three Shay Texas his back folks 52 to nothing win they covered their spread by 17 points against Colorado State things start right where they left off when yours looked awesome arch man and gotten the game he looked good through his first touchdown they're really good no cap you can't have arch manning too we got our franchise quarterback I know you're going to stick your your beak in there like a arch because he's gonna be good oh I don't want arch I got Caleb man and I got agent we're good why do we need arch manning we got Tyson Beijing yes actually number two check Ohio State moves up one spot because Oregon peed down their leg against Idaho come on Charlie Ohio State's awesome to me how all the team two names to become very familiar with Ryan Williams from Alabama Jeremiah Smith from Ohio State my brothers text me the next generation of freshman receivers are going to be wreaking havoc on college football for the next three years I stay Ohio State I'm still questioning a little bit the offense just didn't look as good as I thought it would two defensive scores so win 52 to 6 it will see they are nowhere close to the number one team hoodie your your team crown me god crown me you might as well man is the national title holy smokes beat the fighting devil taplins on Saturday and easy not here's the thing here's the thing give Clemson credit now in the first half that defense was swarming give him credit plus a four quarter game we beat their ass without any problem I had no problem with this game I knew that Clemson could be tough in the first half of the cap that'll be all for Davo and Clemson what was it six six at the half six nothing nothing and they won 34 to three give their defense credit three six when was it six three at the half it was six nothing George is awesome man yeah no no bleep we got the job done it's just in but I'll take the buck guy to win the national title of course you will got old Midwestern flavor man right there I go tell your buddy Davo it's time to take a transfer or a GTFO yeah things might have looked a little different if you took some transfers maybe take some transfers maybe get dabble in the port a little bit maybe spend a little money maybe you don't get your ass beat 34 to 3 you can get your ass beat but it won't be 34 to 3 because second second got the job done on Saturday coming up next gorgia oh doctor what a what a win and a
