It's a Fire Me Up Friday on the Craigway show. Cameron Parker, standing in for Craigway until he is able to join us from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Just arrived to Detroit earlier this afternoon, made the drive to Ann Arbor, and right now they are setting up the Texas Radio Broadcast booth at the big house for tomorrow's game. Now, if you aren't going or you're going, want to make sure you can listen to Craig at the game or outside the game or to our pre-game show. Let me give you the rundown because it's going to be a really fun day starting at 8 a.m. Longhorns game day, the official pre-game show of Texas football. That is the shameless bug because it is hosted by myself. We'll be live from cover three at Anderson Lane. Door's open at 10.30, so if you need a place to watch the game come out to cover three on Anderson Lane, going to have drink specials throughout the game. So make sure you come out there, but we'll be live right here on A.M. 13 under the shown. Myself with Mike Hardball Harge, Mark Henry, and got a lute of guests lined up for you. We're going to speak with lifetime Longhorn NFL Pro Bolder, Michael Griffin, he'll stop by cover three. Remember, he started in the last time Texas, Michigan played the 04 Rose Bowl. That's right. Michael Griffin started, and then he played in the largest away game in Texas football history against Ohio State at the horseshoe in Ho 5. Started that game, got to get his thoughts on what it's like to play in a game like that, in an atmosphere like that. And his thoughts on the secondary of Texas that was much improved since giving up 400 yards against Michael Pennex Jr. in Washington in the college football playoff. Some might find it last year at one point in the third quarter, they had allowed just 59 passing yards. Arch Manning had 60 at one point in that third quarter, and then more garbage time kicked in. But in the secondary shutdown, a lackluster Michigan passing attack. We'll get his thoughts in that game. Anwar Richardson from orangebloods.com, Texas football writer, he'll join us on the show as well. Get his thoughts on the matchup. Also going to hear from a Michigan insider, Zach Shaw from CBS Sports in 247. He'll call in from Ann Arbor and get the Michigan perspective of this game. I want to know, is this a rebuilding year or a reloading year for Michigan? Because it does seem like it's a rebuild year. Now we've gotten accustomed to Kirby Smart, Nick Saban, Georgia, Alabama, where it feels like every year, they might lose 10 draft picks, but there's 10, five stars just waiting to go and there's no drop off. But for Michigan, who lost nine offensive starters, I think they lost six defensive starters coming this season. Do they have the players to allow Michigan to contend for title again? Gotta get his thoughts on that as well. Craig Wade, Roger Wallace. >> You're going to leave there too. They lost their head coach. >> Oh, of course, Jim Harbaugh. Yeah, well, it's truly lost through Jesse Mentor, defensive coordinator, lost a handful of guys. >> Connor Stallion's. >> Connor Stallion's, he might be on the sideline. We don't, we never know, right? He could have been on the Austin sideline last week in Colorado State. I mean, he's gotten back in the coaching, right? He's a high school coach. It's a lot has changed in Ann Arbor for Michigan over the year. Not saying that their program's going to be in disarray, but when you look at it, the more and more you read about, the more and more you watch from last week, you gotta feel pretty good about Texas, but we'll talk to them. >> Get Craig Wade, Roger Wallace's thoughts. They'll be joining us from the booth as well, and hopefully from the booth later on in this show. So that's show, a two hour show from eight to 10 tomorrow. And then we'll pass it off to Craig Wade, Roger Wallace, and Will Matthews for the network pregame show. And kickoff will take place 11 a.m. on the Longhorn Radio Network. And you can listen to that 98.1 KVET. Also on AM1300, the zone as well. And if you're interested in watching the game, it will be airing on Fox. I think game day is going to be there. A big new kickoff is going to be there. Andrew, I've seen so many promotions for like celebrity guest pickers and I see Michael Phelps. I think I've seen Moneybag Yo, Will Ferrell, for some reason, will be there. I'm sure McConaughey and Glenn Powell will be there. There's a lot going on in Saturday. There's a ton of stars that are going to Derek Jeter, I think is the, the captain for Michigan that's going to come out for the coin toss. There's a lot going on. I just am really happy that Craig has a hotel because I would hate for him to get up there and not be able to get a key to his hotel room because it seems like that place is going to be sold out. I don't know how they have enough room for everybody because it's going to be jam packed. And from what CJ was saying, CJ Fogle from on Texas football and even even the reports from Craig and other friends are up there. We've seen a lot of burn orange walking around. There's a stuff on Twitter about apparently Cooper Manning paying to have the Texas Longhorns fly outside Michigan hotel and the Michigan fans saying that no, no, no, that's what they do for all the away games. But regardless, I think Texas fans are making their presence felt in an arbor already. You just show me where they had Ohio State flags outside that hotel cam and then I'll believe it. Yeah, that's true. Needs some proof people need some pictures. If you're up there, please hit us up on the text line, text to where Texas at 81530. Let us know if you're there, what it's like, what you're excited for, where you're going to tailgate at, if you're not going the game, you're just there where you're going to watch it as well. And also maybe your thoughts on the game itself. Maybe you watched the Chiefs Ravens last night, whatever, whatever it is on your mind. Let us know. And of course, the Talkback feature is always open to us on the iHeart radio app. Let us hold down that red microphone button 30 seconds. We want to hear your input again, Craig way will be joining us later on in the show. They are setting up the Texas football radio booth right now, Andrew Zimmel and Cameron Parker with you. Some quick hitters are on this matchup banjo between Texas and Michigan and next segment we're going to get more into the NFL. But a quick look and this is from Bill Connolly on ESPN plus now you're not a big FBI guy and that's probably just because they have you TSA favorite over your Texas state Bobcats. Andrew, but looking at it, the line right now, Texas seven and a half, they are a touchdown favorite on the road. The SP plus prediction from ESPN, Texas by six and a half in the FBI projection has Texas winning by double digits 10 points now looking the last five years, just the last five years. That's includes the Jim Harbaugh era and so far, one game of the Sharon Moore era when Michigan has been at home and it's been an underdog. They're one and two, one and two at the big house. Now, those three games you had, they were a six point underdog to Wisconsin in 2020 lost by 38 points, Wisconsin was number 13, Michigan on rank, but as you said, COVID year, Michigan went two and four, maybe a bit of anomaly because the next three seasons Michigan would win 12 games or more. The other two times they have been underdogs at home. You can probably guess it, Ohio State, a seven point favorite in 2021 won that game 42, 27. So they did cover the spread and the last time they were an underdog at home actually, they might just be one in one. Maybe my math let me down. Sorry, 2019, they were a nine point underdog to Ohio State, lost that game by 29 points, but 2019, 2020, I think you can probably throw away those numbers. Even 2022 or rather, or even 2021 when they beat Ohio State by that big margin, kind of hard to tell, but the way this Michigan offense is, I don't see them scoring a lot of points, but the one thing about this defense is Andrew is that they still have probably one of the best defensive lines in the country. And so when I asked CJ about how does he feel about the Texas running game, it's because taxes being able to establish to run is going to be such a big part of this game that I wonder if because Sark's going to look at defensive line is going to see Mason Graham, the junior who's going to be a first round draft pick, he's going to see Kenneth Grant, Jr, another defense attack. And by the way, Joel Klatt on his show said this week that he thinks Kenneth Grant, not Mason Graham, but Kenneth Grant might be one of the best DTS and NFL in just a few years. But I wonder if Sark sees that in the sides. You know what? I'm going to open up and just throw the ball. I don't know. I think that there's something to be said for Texas coming out and trying to punch Michigan in the mouth early in this one, Cam. The other part that's kind of interesting coming into this game is because the defensive line is allegedly so good for Michigan. I'm wondering, again, kind of like we were saying, will Texas try to run between the tackles really early in this one? I have another question for you because I know we're coming up on the break here. But 8 AM pregame show, is that the earliest you had to get up for a pregame show? >> I mean, usually the earliest you're going to have with Texas football game or even a football game is always 11 AM. So I've had a lot of early days and my time on Beevo Boulevard, actually tomorrow I'll be able to probably sleep until about maybe seven. I've gotten up at 4 AM to get down to the Beevo Boulevard and set up bright and early in my beginnings of sports radio when I was not on the air. >> I was curious. I couldn't remember if you were a morning person or not. >> I'm definitely not a morning person, but you get used to it. And it's Texas Michigan. I don't need any coffee in the morning. I mean, I'll get some coffee, but for a game like this, I mean, this is just like Texas Bama two years ago at DKR, that was 11 AM kickoff. And that was the loudest I've ever heard DKR getting. I was on the sideline for Texas LSU, the Joe Burrow year. So I'll be ready to go. I know Texas nation will be ready to go. I know the Longhorns on the football field will be ready to go. We'll continue this conversation throughout the show. >> Next year on The Craigway Show, we'll be joined by Craigway himself at some point from Ann Arbor, but look ahead at week one of the NFL season, get you the slate, a preview of Eagles Packers tonight and Andrews picks for the Super Bowl. We got mine and Craig's yesterday, want to hear Zimbal's predictions himself here. It's a fire me up Friday on The Craigway Show. >> Breaking news from this one is almost unbelievable. >> Yeah, it's all about new customers at Bet365 because they get $200 in bonus bets when they bet $5 and even better bonus bets can be used on the spread, totals and player props. >> There you have it. Bet $5 to get $200 in bonus bet and see why.
