We will talk some high school football and college football with Greg Tepper, managing editor of Dave Campbell's Texas Football Magazine coming up in a few minutes. I didn't want to get to some sound from Quinn Ewers here in the segment before we get to the break before we have Tepper on with us. And in specific, yeah, there was the thing about the no-look pass, but also in addition to that was just some other topics as well. Like for example, Quinn was asked, "How much did he and those wide receivers work together during offseason?" And last hour, we heard Matthew Golden talking about that, the work they did in the offseason. So Quinn was asked, "How much did he work with the new wide outs?" And what returning ones they had, like a DeAndre Moore and Ryan Niblet, you know, guys like that. But the newer ones, the transfer portal ones and an incoming freshman like Ryan Wingo, how much did they work together in the offseason? I mean, we definitely, definitely threw a lot and got to know, like I've been talking about for the past couple of weeks, how long it takes them to get in and out of breaks and how long it takes them to get 12, 15 yards, whatever it is. And I think we did a good job out there showing that out. Okay, all right, so let's go back to that no-look pass in case you didn't hear about it or see it. A lot of people didn't see it. When it was first thrown, I didn't see it. I just saw it as regular touchdown pass. Then it was called, I'm going to point it out to me that it was indeed a no-look pass. And it was the, I had a couple of Patrick Mahomes references in the broadcast. That was one, the other was the arch-manning old shovel out to the side for the score. And that one was to Bolden, wasn't it? Yeah, so the first catch of the game. Yeah, so anyway, there was a couple of those references there. But Quim was asked, did you really throw an actual low-look pass? Yeah, it was cool. I was going to throw the flat and then I saw everybody run out, so I kind of just, is that short? Is that short-stop background, I guess? Yeah, all right. Short-stop back, he did play baseball in some younger days. So is that something you can work on, practice kind of develop? Every now and then, but not a whole lot, because I don't want to miss it and get my butt ripped. But I guess some things fall, some things fall your way. Okay, all right. So that's one of those Mahomes references I've talked about. The other was on that little flip pass from arch to Silas Bolden. And what was yours review of that? Yeah, it was awesome. It was cool to get him in there and him show off his athleticness, so it was a cool place for sure. All right, and then finally, pretty big game this week, getting ready for Michigan, the new rankings are out. Texas up a spot to number three, Michigan actually dropped one spot in both pole, they dropped from nine to 10 in the AP poll and eight to nine in the coaches. But it is still a top 10 matchup. And so Quinn Ewers has asked him for his thoughts heading into this Michigan matchup. Yeah, I mean, we're all excited to get up there and to be able to play against the defending national champions. But I mean, like, we're excited for the opportunity that we're granted and far up to see how we handle this week. Okay. All right. So there's some sound from Quinn Ewers a little later on this hour. We'll hear more from Matthew Golden and also some more from Anthony Hill. A quick follow up on that, Craig. Yes. It wasn't in the audio included, but he was asked, do you still refer to Michigan as that team up north? Because you remember when Quinn first got here, he said the team up north. And I think Ryan wants it as well. And Quinn kind of joked and laughed about it and said, Oh, you know, I kind of, I find it funny. I used to refer them as a team up north, but I'm not afraid they'll also just say Michigan as well. It's a good point because that was the big thing with, with Michigan, Ohio State. Yeah. I mean, was it, I'm trying to think was it Ryan Day or was it, or was it Urban Meyer, who did the team up north thing? What he hates, I guess. Oh, yeah, that goes way used to, he refused to call knowledge. Yeah. Yeah. Woody Hayes, who once was asked when his team was blown out Michigan and they went for two after scoring late in the game, they said, why did you go for two? He said, because I couldn't go for three. So much. That's a great quote. Well, that's what he hates. You know, so I guess Quinn also referred to him as a team up north at the SEC media days as well. Okay. When asked about playing Michigan. Okay. Well, yeah, that probably makes some sense that it would, that it would be that way. Again, the new college football rankings came out Texas up one spot in both polls to number three, still Georgia and Ohio State, number one, and number two in the, in the rankings, both in the AP and in the coaches poll, in terms of the SEC representation. If you just go AP alone, you have Georgia number one, Texas number three, Alabama number four, Ole Miss number six, Missouri number five, half of the top 10 are in the SEC and the AP poll and the coaches poll, Georgia number one, Texas number three, Alabama number four, Ole Miss number five, and Missouri number 10. So again, half the top 10, both in the AP and the coaches poll, are in the SEC big 10, the AP, you have Ohio State and number two, you have Oregon at number seven, Penn State number eight, and Michigan number 10. So you got four from the big 10 in the AP, and then in the coaches, you have Ohio State number two, you have Oregon number six, Penn State number eight, Michigan number nine, and again, four. So five SEC and four, big 10, and Notre Dame, a football playing independent, make up the top 10. That's, that's, you know, we talk about the power next as being what it is, there it is. All right, up next, we'll talk some college football and some high school football, Greg Tepper, managing editor of Dave Campbell's Texas football magazine, when we continue on sports radio AM13 under the Zonety IR Radio app. Breaking news from this one is almost unbelievable.
