Listen back to Paul Cooney, Barry Ferguson and Mark Guidi as they talk all things Scottish Football.

This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Call 08, 08 at 17, 17, 700. Good evening, Celtics, Derby. Dominans continued yesterday. The home 3-0 went over. Rangers taking them to the joint top of the table with Aberdeen. Rangers fans afterwards back at iBrucks, as Phillip Plummer and the team came back, not happy. How big is the gap? That's one of the questions today. So, half of Glasgow, green and white happy yesterday. The other half blew. What's going wrong at Rangers? And how is Phillip Plummer going to change things? 08, 08, 17, 17, 700. Banny Ferguson is here. Banny was there at the match yesterday. Mark Whitty too. Mark, first of all, what about the Celtic win yesterday and putting it in context? It's been so much noise about how Rangers have declined in recent years. But what did you, what was your take on it yesterday? Celtics are really deserved to win. Paul, there's no doubt about that. They're a better team. They've got a better manager of the champions and they are miles ahead and over 38 games, Paul. Celtic may well win this league by 15, 16, 17 points. Nobody can touch them. Not even Rangers and Rangers are a long way off getting close to them, but that's something Rangers need to do. They need a proper plan and Michelle will get into that more in the show. We could have a 24 year special on Rangers and we won't even touch the size, but we'll get into it, but Celtic thoroughly deserved the one. And on the program tonight, Celtic fans give us a call. 08, 08, 17, 17, 700. It's going to be Europe soon as well. There's the break now. Celtic can go off and enjoy a few days off. Those are international duty. And for Rangers, Banny, we know it's ahead of international break. You want a victory. You were there yesterday. How tough was that to sit and watch at your oldest rivals? It was a sore one, Paul. I'm not going to kid you on. It was, look, a lot was made though the first 10 minutes was good, but a game last over 90 minutes. And listen, I'm not going to hide for the fact that Celtic thoroughly deserved the win. It was just really disappointing from Rangers side. It had a couple of opportunities, as I said, early on. But I think from the disallowed goal, I thought affected Rangers and Celtic won the game pretty convincingly. Rangers did start well, Matt. There's no question. The couple of chances as well didn't come to anything. What did you feel early on? Yeah, early on, Rangers settled well, depressed. Celtic, Celtic won't try to play it out at the back, as all teams do now, and the Rangers will nick the ball here and there. Paul, you want to look at the difference, we're starting to get into it now. So you want to compare the two number 9s. So look at Kyogo's goal. The way he finishes the one that's disallowed, and then the one that's allowed to stand. You compare that to the Rangers number 9. Siro there, who are like by the way, and we all like him. He's an honest big lad and gives his all. But if you're going to be absolutely brutal, then I know he's flagged off side in that first couple of minutes. But his effort and goal was waffle. I mean, so weak. When you presented an opportunity like that, he had some goal. He's in a chance in the same half to bring it back to 2-1. But he could change the game and again, he creates a nice touch and opens a goal up for himself. But he's effort, Paul, for the Rangers number 9 in an old firm game. It's no good enough. So when you look at that, there's two answers right away where it's no wonder the teams are a golfer part because there's a story in its own in the two number 9s. Barry, how worried should Rangers fans be? You can hear them in social media. We see it. What did you feel coming away from it? You've been there, you've been good times, bad times. Yeah, just disappointed, frustrated. There's a lot of words I could describe how I was feeling after a game, Paul. But look, what's out there when they get in the final third? They're ruthless. That's what they are. I know. But Madrasizia Dessus was offside, but you've got to be making a goalkeeper, what to save it. And obviously, the metondo header. I don't know. Was that given offside as well? I don't think it was. That's a chance. I've had folks to cut you over. That's in the back of the net. But overall, he could have been brave, I'm sorry, couldn't he? Yeah. But overall, in the game, listen, it ended a day south. It was a better team, Paul. I've no complaints about that. I just expected a bit more from Rangers throughout the game. Oh, it's 17-1700, first up tonight on goal. It's John, a Celtic fan from Shettleson. From shots, actually. Hi, John. Good evening. Right, so I'm feeling okay. Oh, hello. Sorry. All right, John, what are you thinking? I hope he's doing, Paul. Thank you, thank you. I'm just calling up the night. I got home through a lot there. I just managed to do what they did. My thoughts are a bit going as you can tell. I was doing a lot of singing yesterday. So, I was just coming home through watching those, watching their talks, but a copy of Graham Sunnis, I thought they'd be jam-like. And he was saying that he hangs at the golf and class between Celtic and Ninja, isn't that big? I know he was just talking a bit of a wee bit there, but I know that he's a lot very open, honest on this show. So, that's your thoughts on the Graham Sunnis, he's saying? Yeah. Barry, what would you say? Oh, no, everything's said yesterday's game. Yep. That's certainly a big golf. Paul, look, the manager's mentioned has been 12 players went out the door, 10 new players come through the door. Yep. It's going to take a bit of time, but yesterday's game, the strength and depth that I've got, you could see the quality they've got yesterday. And as I said, Paul, I've no complaints that the better team, in my opinion, won the game. And as I said, when Celtic get in that final, they're constantly a threat for the wide areas they get in behind. I just thought, when that Kiyogo goal, for instance, couldn't get us caught offside. I was in line, and I thought, obviously, when I come back and I watched it, it was small margins. Anyway, you've got to learn for that straight away. You got off with it. And then what happens when, where does it go? It's like I've been coping. Yeah. They don't learn the lessons, which I'm thinking to myself, right, that's a wake up goal. You get away with it, it's still at nothing each. But again, they go down that right side, the range is left side, and my adder comes in at the back post. And that's where it's Celtic. If you watch Celtic, or I watch Celtic, the score so many goals like that for the wide player, getting in behind and cutting it back for the opposite wide player, coming in at the box. And that's the thing that disappointed me that you don't learn your lessons, because you've got to learn your lessons as quick as possible. But there is a gulf, and Graham soon has said, well, that might be your opinion to some of the callers that I heard some of it this morning. Mark, more importantly, what do you think then? Rangers had clearly this spending. It's in a different skill now, Celtic are in a different level. What did you think looking at the two yesterday, the gulf in class? Yeah, it's massive, Paul. And as I said, in a one-off game, of course, anything can happen, but over 38 games, I said that it's that the season, I think, Celtic won the title by double digits, and I think it'll be a comfortable double digits. I heard Graham soon is all, so this morning's joining me, they've heard, saying they need investment, they do need investment, there's no doubt about that. 50 million. You're a bit thrown money at it, as always. And remember, up until this summer, Rangers have had a higher wage build on Celtic. So it just shows you it's not just a bit thrown money at it. It's what you do with the money you've got. So I say, we could spend a lot of time, just two or three key points on me. From a business level at Rangers, Barry's right, talking about learning lessons and moving forward, get a chief executive and start running your football club and put a plan in place and deal with your heads of the department. For Rangers, not to have a chief executive is not good enough, totally unacceptable because I'm not a chief executive in place by now. Secondly, I've said it before, Paul, and I'll say it again, I said it last season. You can't play James Tavernier. And for that, I blame the manager for late Claremont 100%. It looks traumatized. James Tavernier, get into the starting. And that's your captain, that's your leader. You can't blame it right back, if I talk. And I'm not blaming James Town because I think it takes an awful lot of unfair abuse from Rangers support, but it's clear to see that as a fault of the manager by continuing to play James Tavernier at right back. You can do it any longer. And in the goal for the second goal, the one that kills the game, from a goalkeeping point of view, a Jack Butler don't be embarrassed at losing that goal. He's knocking his feet across, kicking off. I mean, you look with the ball, cross is a line, it's more than a yard inside his left hand post. That kills the game, stone dead, albeit eight of nine of the guys in front of him were miles off it yesterday. But there's just a couple of points to pick out, to chew over. John, as a Celtic fan, you know, you had £30 million worth on the bench of six of the seven subs or the nine subs, whatever, six of them at 30 million. So does that, what do you think for the coming season? What are you looking to see? Well, that's what I was just like, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. You said they're about a Celtic school, they say the same goals, but obviously the first goal can get it's caught off side. But like a goodness, surprisingly, if Celtic could say, right, we've been caught up with that one, and then you've got Alistair Johnson that's running for even deeper, who's never ever got a big getting caught off side there, because how far behind the line, yes. So, other dangers have been trying to play that line, couldn't get caught in the second thing we've been playing that, or we'll get through. Alistair Johnson's obviously better off side track, but we hope he's clean, he's caught the line, caught the ball back, tickly, oh, eh, made us worry. So, that's a bit surprising, still, because I already thought, maybe that's why I'm ready to beat him, then stay him up. Another thing with the investment, I know that Celtic ball said, well, I worked as a move over the years and stuff like that, but when you're not able to get it, it's far back to you, when Mataré Lee first came in with Tom Rogge, which was obviously there for a good period, and then Mataré Lee came in, he thought he was going to put the next one coming up, then Armoy came in, so the year Armoy was here, Mataré Lee didn't really play much football, so, I think it's the way it's the Celtic ball, bring players on, can they? Not sure, but the member needs players who know what the game's all about, because you've got Mataré Lee, who's come in, done that, obviously, been Tom Rogge, who was there, learning off of him, you've got Cara McGregor, who's here, seeing him yesterday, when young work McCown came on, he's going to put an arm around him, making him feel welcome, but you've got players all over the pitch, what even, like, Kyogo, how good he is, Adami just come in and show, who to say, Kyogo might not go next year, and Adami does hear his step up, you've all of his goals, so go, but he goes coming in as well, he's got another modern point player, but expecting him to be set him in, they start wining off, mostly, you know. That's happy days for you, John, no, isn't it? It has, it has made, but you've got, you see, like, Steve and Jera, but he was talking a bit when he was there at Léanger, about to go and talk about it, Celtic never, never built on your success, and then Ranger won the league, so that's spending fair at a moment, it's a statement in 10, that said he would push forward for us. Yeah, they haven't, they haven't made the mistake that they did then. Thanks for that call, John, in short, Kevin's on the line, hi Kevin, good evening, it's Cross Foods, hi. We're doing nice. Yeah, good, thank you. Yeah, we're doing nice. You okay? John, good mate, my point yesterday is about how good Parliament Ardo is. I think everything it came positive through Celtic, was through Parliament Ardo. People were fighting, but no, really left on us, but it was going to be a big gap, they felt bad. I think the last cup I gave, he's been super up, it's been seamless. Barry, what would you say, as a midfielder, what did you make of the Portuguese? Yeah, he was, he was impressive yesterday, no doubt, about making him in last week, when Matt O'Reilly was obviously down doing his medical at Brighton, and I thought he played well, and I thought in yesterday's game, he was, he was pretty dominant in the central way of the pitch, where he'd tie it. I've seen our bonus, I've seen Colin McGregor play better, I thought he'd get caught a couple of times on it, but listen, he scored a brilliant goal, but I thought Bernardo was, was a very good player, that, I knew he was a good player, but also, when you see him close up, he's quite, he's physically quite big and strong as well, which surprised me, but yeah, he was, he was definitely good juster than that, three for Celtic, as I mentioned, always says previous, McGregor Hittati O'Reilly, and then you look at it yesterday, McGregor Hittati, Bernardo, and then Engels come on as well, showed some, some nice touches, and yeah, Celtic certainly, for its hard for me to say, they certainly dominated the centre of the pitch, which I believe that's where games are won and lost, I know centre forwards and why players score goals, but in the engine room, that's where, that's where the battle harms, and certainly Celtic come out and top. That's my favourite, but Barry's identified and has been saying so for the past six weeks, the Armandae and Colonel Bennett, yeah, good job players, but so much to learn, and you could see that yesterday, so much to learn, and then you've got Sterling in there too, so you can play a number of positions, but probably say that my Disney's natural position, because I understand why the manager put him in there, but it's exactly what he said, they need experience in the middle of the park, and yesterday showed up exactly why I do something, you know, just to come in and, that bit of guidance, a bit of know-how, particularly in games like that. A bit of man-managing on the pitch, I think that's where I was going. I can go, yeah, I don't know any more. Just before, sorry, Barry, for interrupting, it's exactly the exact same thing as you said, the Academy Gregor might know of the great game, but it makes others run a bottom player out, and angels don't have that, angels have to go out of man in the middle of the park, they might not be playing, they'll be a draggy team through, and I think that it's evident that Celtic have been light years ahead of angels in there. What killing the Gregor does? He allows guys like Hittai in Bernardo to go and express herself, he just dancers in the middle of the pitch, and man-ages him. You can see him on the pitch, and that's what I think Rangers are really missing, and experience heading there to manage the younger players through the game. That's what Colin McGregor does. He's a great captain, isn't he? You've been a great captain for Rangers. He's a great captain for Silti. He's what the manager said about him. He's such an incredible captain, and he's obviously having to try to be shackled today with the Amanda trying to do that sort of man-marketing job on him when he had the ball, but he's so clever, you know, went to attract the marker, went to then drop him and attacked the space, and obviously he's goal that's setting the other day of it, you know, three goals and three leg games, and I don't think he's done that before. So, yeah, he was outstanding. Kevin, what are you feeling about the manager a year after he came back? Oh, he's right up there, Murney. I had that conversation with my cousin yesterday, who's, he wasn't even going to come back, and yesterday he's probably the greatest manager we've had. He's definitely up there for me, remarkly new. We certainly get some record, hasn't he, Mark? No questions. It's incredible. Was it one defeat in 18 games? 19? 19 games against Rangers. Yeah, he doesn't make us worse for me. I'm doing well. I'll bring two minutes. This is going to be longest turns in my life. Do you know that? He's been great, and look, when he came back last summer, and all of a sudden, it finds what we're against it because of the circumstances and what you left. But as I said, my statement right away, Paul was, he's an upgrading edge post to Koglu, and I know that raised a lot of eyebrows, but he can see it, and sell to it are very lucky because when Brendan decides to go, whenever that may be, Paul, they won't replace him with anybody better. Sell to it, I've got a proper elite manager just now, and you know, Kevin's come on right away, highlight, parallel to Bernardo and Barry Agreed. If I saw that, I thought Bernardo was man in the match. From my view in the game, I thought he was man in the match. But look at the Bernardo that arrived to the Bernardo, that's now, and I think that's obviously the guys get talent, but it's down to the coaching as well. Sell to it are very, very lucky to have Brendan Rogers. I think Sell to it are playing at a different pace. High pace. Last year, I thought it was about pedestrian at times when I watched Sell to it, but they shifted the ball pretty quickly yesterday. Very direct as well. Very direct from midfield and the forwards. They broke it, real pace, and that's where Rangers struggled with it yesterday. Kevin complacency, there doesn't seem to be any. We know that. You hear the way the manager has them organised. As a Celtic fan, have you got any complacency about this season? Because you know, people are saying, right, Celtic could only, I know there's a long way to go, but you could only throw it away. I don't think Brendan will let him get complacent. I think anything I think would just go face down, face down, think about it. I think that Rangers have possibly got a fight on their hands for second or third place. That's what Chris Boyd said yesterday on Sky. He was really strong, he was emotional about it. He did say that, Mario, but it was about later. One phrase that jumped out that Chris said as well, that I thought was spot on two was men against boys, you know, and that's a phrase that I've heard a few times for a few different people over the years, but I thought that was a point. I have to, me personally, I don't buy any Aberdeen over 30 games, but the great suspect Jimmy Tillens had a really good start, but he's no played Celtic, he's no played Rangers yet, and no, I don't see that being a contest. Rangers are, for me, you'll be comfortable in second place. How do you think Philippe Clemente carries himself now? What's he going to do? The stats didn't go down that well yesterday. People saw it, you heard Barry saying, look, Celtic won and deserved to win. I think that's what you were saying. And he comes out and I do understand that, you know, the PR game, he mentioned the Ross County, the six nil last week. That's not going to wash with the Rangers fans. Oh, stats don't win your games. I don't. So somebody should advise them, don't you? But then for the day, listen, when Celtic entered the final third for the opportunities, there was clinical bang, yep. That's it. There were clinical when they get the opportunities, nine times out of 10, they put it in the back of the net. Kevin, who was your man of the match before you go? Hey, Paul Monado, I thought he was sensational. I just thought he ran the full game. He was tackling, he was up and down, he was Canadian chances that he had put the ball through for Johnson to set up my either. In fact, as an other thing, it's a year after my either scored, we had basically a carving copy of the same goal. And it came through to my either again, and just by luck, it hit off a defender. That never went for the first mistake. Yeah, Barry, you can see the inexperience and it's a new defense at Rangers, you know, proper. You haven't seen much of him. Yeah, but Paul, I go back to what I say is it in Friday, Celtic are not going to surprise you the way they play. If you watch Celtic, they score a lot of goals, as I mentioned, getting in behind the the centre back and the full back, that wee slide drill pass and the opposite wide player coming in along with Caiogo and along with maybe one or two, the central midfielders. But when they get in that, Paul, you've got to defend it properly. If you look at when the cross comes in for the first goal that me either scores, that's body shape. It's not where he is. You've got your body and be aware where your opponent is. And they scored a lot of goals like that. Celtic do it. Kevin, thanks so much for calling O8, O8 17, 700. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Let's go, let's go. The Go Radio Football Show is the day after Celtic 3, Rangers nil, at a park head yesterday. Barry Ferguson is here, so too is Mark Goudy and lots of calls coming in as well. We'll talk about all the games at the weekend. There was a lot Aberdeen, a late, late goal for them. It means they're also nine games under Jimmy Tae-line, top of the table with Celtic. But people are more interested here in what's happening with the big two Celtic fans they deserve. To enjoy the moment, there's a lot of chat about Rangers and the fact the golf between the two and how big is the golf. Let's speak to Rangers fan in the line. James is on from Bells Hill. Good evening, James. Hello, how are you doing, guys? Yeah, we're okay. How are you? You've been better. No, I hope you feel good. It's more a question for you, Barry, but honestly, because I saw you yesterday on the daily, I've seen your face, and I'm sitting there watching the game and I'm just looking probably the same expression at bonus. And it's probably just, do you know what it is for me, right? I've had a season ticket for this kind of advocacy, I was a manager at the bonus, so I've watched all the times with you as a player. And even through the hard days, the Lord Divisions and coming through the war button in Pedro Kishina, there was a purpose and it was like, we know we're going to go in the league. It was every year you've had to get in gradual view. Everybody was back behind the team. Even in those dark days, we're all still stuck together because we believe that there was a, there was going to be an end in sight. You know, maybe a five-year plan for when we came up. And it feels like we've just jumped back into that. And I can't even see how it comes out. And again, that's James. You know, it's like, for me, looking at it, we've jumped back to those days and I don't think Seltic will be complacent again. Like they did possibly arguably jump the season with Rangers on the league. They maybe took the eye off the ball with a treatment. It does happen through cycles, teams like that that have been successful. And then, soon as we just win the league, we were all told that that would be the turning point. You know, and then it would be back to, you know, kind of, you know, level playing fields in a Bay in terms of, you know, season about times of weeks and stuff like that. But I feel as if we've jumped back five, six years, and I genuinely don't believe the club is going in the direction that, and the fans are now starting to be dis-controlled. I mean, I know, I know people that are, like, I've been just fans and me, like guys that are older than me and my boss's group chat that turned the game off. Yes, but they're, you know, probably never done that in the life. And that for me, that's the concern that we're losing fans. The fans are starting to know, you know, question the direction of the club was before, if you go back five, six years, people, even though the results were not one of the able to get embarrassed at things, everybody still stuck together because we knew that there was a goal to get to. Barry, what would you say? Well, I think there's going to be a bit of pain. Paul, short turn, because obviously the amount of change in terms of the players, they're trying to obviously lower the the wage structure, wage budget, whatever way you, what you put it. And look, it's tough and I can understand the frustration. It's tough, but obviously you've seen some of the supporters just a day after the game. I don't like to see it, I've been honest, Paul, but also I get it's raw emotion that disappointed did you expect a bit more from the team is when I was sitting in a stand watching it. And look, it was so hard. It was tough yesterday. There's no doubt about it. The mistakes all the time, Barry, you just said that I just held you there before I came on. I don't want to single the guy who is the captain and he's gave us some good times, not that. But how many times can you keep saying that and making that same excuse when there's constantly goals coming from his side or on his lack of trying back? I mean, we've been talking a bit all the time, but we used to say, "Oh, it gets your goals." That seems to know, is that my way out of his game a bit as well? I mean, I know he still got 20 goals last year, right? But doesn't look like he's going to get that this year, if I'm being honest. But I'm not just single in hand, but the whole offense, it seems like Celtic's game plan is always to target, and it works every single time. And it's like, how many managers did he just need to go through before somebody actually identifies it? It's going funky. Yeah, it is. And I said that Ayla, Jamie, James Tavernier looks traumatized as I run out onto the pitch, but I'm building the manager for that. And I said, last season, you need to remove James Tavernier from the right body, and move him up one or whatever, but remove him for his own good and for the good of the team. But that's where I was building the manager 100%. Adventures in what windows are still open, I know there's Turkish windows still open. I just wonder if James Tavernier could be a move, because I said it in the summer for his own sake. I think it's come at the end of the cycle for him and for Rangers. Sam's been on a Rangers fan saying if the Saudi window is open until midnight, he should take the rest of them. Yeah, I'm sure the Turkish window. Turkish window. There's a couple of windows still open. Yep. And it's for his own. I mean, you do think in the same thing that, yeah, it's mental health. But for him, and I said, I'm not single, I'm out just like Jamie's not, but look for that example. It's one example of a number of things. The other thing is, well, you want to look at if you want to draw a contrast. So let me sell to attack Paul. They've got wonderful partnerships. Johnston and it just so happened to be Coon on the right hand side, and then you've got Taylor in my either. What did they do? They attacked him. The attack is a two. Geoff Day and Tavernier, they've gone for them and they've nobody able to compete. Now, it's no help to Geoff Day when Matondo's no track in his runner. In contrast, look at the other side of the pitch. Chain these, you're new winger that's come in. They'll be paying a lot of money, loan feing big wages, and you've got Matondo, who's a £2.5 million player, who turns up once every 20 games. When did they once get the ball and go and have a pop at Alistair Johnson and have a perfect Greg Taylor? Did it happen? No, it didn't. So, and we keep here and say, oh, Robbie Matondo, he played well against Rose County. But when you're going to learn, I don't like losing using the phrase "cedo loser" because I think it's very, very harsh. But they are. When it comes to playing against Celtic, there's too many guys that aren't the good enough time after time, after time, after time. Cornell Gossen fell into that bracket. They eventually moved them on. So, it's up to the manager to go and learn and to be ruthless about who he selects and who he doesn't. Jimmy? I've known Mat's totally, I was just trying to say it's just the echo he's pointing at. Yesterday that Matondo and Jimmy, I don't think they bet on man. I don't remember them beating on man or getting to the bar language. See how the time Celtic attacked? They go, the white players get paid to get to the bar line and they cut the ball back into the penalty spot. It seems to be a tactic for Celtic Center and Tuesdays where they cut the ball back, and they always seem to go over running a box with the midfielders and attacking players. See when you put that in contrast, the Rangers, when they go forward, a lot of times, they'll whip in the ball and there's nobody there. It's just, it feels as if Celtic played by an extra man against those in, and there's, I can honestly forgive. See, under Jared, I've, I understood game for game Celtic, we're technically better players, right? That was just a level over that, but under Jared, what they lacked in ability, they gave you and fighting desire. See when I'm watching the team now and it's been going on since, since, you know, since you'll see even because I'm reluctant to blame you as well, because I think he was kind of, I don't think he was back. So I'm not going to, I still believe he's just stayed longer than he did. That was a mistake. They moved too quickly, didn't they, against GVB? Hi, they moved too quickly because, well, what my point was there, like, I can forgive the lack of ability and that, but as long as you give your desire on the side of the harvest, then the fans will get behind that, but it's now getting to the point where, yesterday, I don't think any of them just fan believe, just so that they could get a result. Yes, they're like, genuinely, you're getting into these games going, it's like, genuinely going back five, six years, I've always said that before, but you're going, how many is it going to be? Barry, you had the skill and the heart, but what did you feel yesterday? You were there, watching the players. I felt after, once that goal got disallowed, I just felt there was, that heads went down, there was a bit of fear and I don't like to see that and going on the two wide players when I was watching it, make the defenders the full-backs defend. I thought Alistair Johnson and Greg Taylor had such an easy afternoon. I don't think they broke sweat and what metondo in Germany have got, their biggest asset, his pace, he didn't see it. Take them in behind, what a defender hates doing is running back towards his goal. I never seen them, they never get tested. Jimmy, when you get beat and I've suffered a big defeat against everybody in a few other defeats, get down fighting. I didn't see that yesterday. Yeah, I just felt, they felt sorry for themselves. Sometimes you get goals against you, you just gotta help them shake yourself off and get run about your teammates and say, right, listen, it's part and parcel of football. And they need more leaders, don't they? They do. Yeah, I said that when I was talking about with the end of the window last week, they need a bit of experience and guys who manage on the pitch. It's so important, Paul, speaking on the pitch and you need two, three, four players. It's not just about the captain app, I was the captain at him, but also had four or five teammates that wouldn't have shot on the pitch. No, I've been serious and it's so important, you need communication. You need to sometimes give people a kick up the backside. You need to let them know, listen, you need to get her fingers out here. This is no good enough and I don't see enough of that. Is it the modern day game? Well, I've seen Colin McGregor do it and he's no Iran and in favor. No, but I've seen him a couple of times because they started the game, which I thought Celtic didn't start the game particularly well. Well, they got a gripper and so yeah, they certainly, they need players in there. They certainly helped this team and you know, you're talking about leadership. I thought it was just a lovely quote, Colin McGregor said to Luke McKown. Imagine that Barry is brewing. I think we just see, I'm saying he's not, but he's about 26, look, he's no akin, but he's always saying, you know, but just for Colin McGregor, I just saw it was brewing and it just speaks volumes for currency. Listen, I'm with you. I'll be on your shoulder, son, go and relax and play it. And just to, those two sentences, just to hear that, I think speaks volumes about the man that Colin McGregor has. It's just when I've seen the first go-go and made it. I just see no, the heads drop, probably, but it's only a go. That's in the stalls, 75 minutes. When did the go-go in, 15 minutes? Yeah. 14 minutes. 16. Yeah. Listen, it happens sometimes. You need to dust yourself down. You can't ever let it affect you. And I just felt it affected the Rangers players at that stage. Sure did. Let's move on. Dave's on. Thanks, James. Felt that one for Jamie. Hi, Dave. Good evening. Evening, Paul. I'm out in the morning. How are you doing, Dave? Hi, Dave. So, Dave, what are you saying about your team Celtic? I think it's all we've said. Paul, to be honest, I kind of want to slightly change this object. I've just started shouting for the game before us. I mean, you know, it's not a list of old boys, 500. Yeah. 500 games for the first team now. Yeah. 24 trophies. I mean, they've got to go the way around the boys, at least. Yeah. Well, you're a bit disappointed. He didn't start yesterday. No, not really, because I think we're at a stage now. We've got a squad player. I mean, it's a team day. So, it's sort of for doing it at heart. But I think we can probably change the four players of the game, at least, and not affect the standard of performance. I really think that's where we're at now. Yeah. The young one, I think, goes very good when he comes on. I do rather than everybody's saying, "Well, no, I was on the shooting with Paul." "Well, no, I don't know when he came." "But, Paul came here just out there." I mean, Martin, I'm really here to see, you know? It was some game. See, the thing that's held out of court, they've got players that come off the bench and affect the game. That's what you need from the bench. If you go, we're starting to start at 11. And listen, if things are going well, fine, you make changes. But if things are not going well, you need to make changes. You need to come on and make a positive impact. When I was looking at the Celtic bench, I mean, you look at those 20-mowing credit, come on out of two players, either, in angles. James Forrest, experience, I think he was Celtic's best player. The last month of the season. And when you look at a Rangers bench, when things are not going well, as are people going to come on and make a massive difference? Yeah. That's a difference in the squads at this moment in time. I remember you saying, "Barry, four years ago, "when we first started this program, "and remember James Forrest got an injury?" And you said, "They're missing James Forrest, "and the Celtic fans don't give them enough credit." I was happy. Look, listen, I know Kun's done well. He looks better than he did last season. There's no doubt, because I think he came to an illness. He did. Was that right? But when I never seen James Forrest play, he can affect again. You know, he even affected it when he come on. He's not just a top player. He's got the experience. He's got, he knows what these games are all about, and he can play in the big stage, can he? Mark? Yeah, 500 games, yeah, it's a good shot from Dave. Just to give him a mention, he's been a wonderful servant. For Celtic, he'd been a top team player for 13-14 seasons, now very decorated, and still gets so much to offer, and I agree with Barry. Celtic's season changed for me when James Forrest came off the bench at hand and against Aberdeen. I know it went to penalties, but he turned that game around, and Celtic kicked on. Celtic, are we spinning this step? Or be it Rangers lost a couple of games? That said Celtic kicked on in Forrest, and had a lot to do with that. And yeah, great low maintenance guy, never causes you a problem, great team player, great throw. And I'm glad the Celtic fans seem to be appreciating them, Paul, because I was a spell for two or three years, where he was a kind of whipping boy. You know, in was going wrong. James Forrest was getting the blame in it. Do you want to find players like that, get two for Grant? Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, they do. I feel that Greg Tiller comes under that as well. He's going to be the most decorated player, isn't he, in the history of Celtic? James Forrest? Yeah, he will be, wouldn't he? He looks as if he's going, didn't he? Yeah, yeah, incredible. Barry, I don't want to... Do you know what the question is? Do you know there was another two games yesterday, eh? I were coming to play with you, Woody. Lots of calls come in for you. Barry, people want to... And of course, it was 169 versus 169 wins. Celtic, now 170 wins against Rangers, 169 over the years. All the stats are getting shorted out in the papers. This morning, I've got the record here. I've got the Glasgow Times, the Sun, they're all there. Dave, thanks for your call. Loads of them coming in. 08, 08, 17, 700. The Glasgow Derby was won by Partic Thistle. So was, I was at the game. So, 3-0 for them against Queen's Park on Saturday. And Mother will see a new contract for the manager. And I win for them at the weekend. Yeah, we will talk about the other games. Of course, we will. Been off for too long. Done to United Bidding Hearts. If we were Edinburgh Radio, then you'd be saying, "My goodness, 7 games without a win, 6 defeats." And come on, getting a point against him. So that's the summary of the weekend. But the big story is Celtic, who can stop Celtic? And how are they going to do in Europe? Because it's got to be, Mark. Is it not got to be, if it's at the moment, just about being the best team in Glasgow, they're not going to really progress. Quick break, and then we'll talk to both of you. Take more calls next. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Let's go, let's go. Let's go straight on to the lines. Paul is on from Cumbernold, a Rangers fan. Good evening, Paul. How are you doing, mate? Yeah, good fine. Thank you. You're through to Mark Whitty and Barry Ferguson. How are you doing? Have you just interrupted by? How are you doing, mate? How are you doing, Paul? How are you doing, Paul? No bad. I've seen you yesterday on the TV. Camera is obviously you're there. I take it just as a supporter. No. North through Rangers. No, I was, I was both Rangers. Yeah, I would genuinely believe we need to get you in the door. We're not sitting there out. We're able to sit just today. I really think we've all got an offering just people to help come on. He's come in and I don't think really, he doesn't really get it yet. I really think that the idea, if you are there, to help them. I don't know if you're allowed to say if you've had that conversation, or you're available for that. But I think we're trying out for a calendar that's been through and been there. And I genuinely think after you left, I think I've had Steve Davis, but I thought for that, we've barely had any rangers, people. But I'd say if I'd put your scoped rounds in, and you'd be killing McGregor, we'd not get anyone in it. It really knows I've been hanging in there. And that's how I think that's a big problem for us. Barry, I mean, some of the rain just finds they were pleased to see you there. You were there in the ambassadorial role. Yeah, I've been back listening. I'm joining my new role, Paul. It involves obviously being at games and doing all this stuff through the club. And I'm enjoying that side here. And I understand, listen, it might be an opportunity if it's like Steve Davis just springs to mind for me. I know he's away doing obviously stuff in Northern Ireland. And he's obviously now trying to get, I think he's going on his pro license. So I could see something like that in the future. Definitely playing a part for rangers going forward. Look, Alex, and just now, Alec knows a club. He's obviously grew up a ranger supporter. And then obviously I love the dream coming back and playing in a club. But yeah, I do always think you do need people around about the club who knows what it means and know what it takes to obviously be successful. I would have to say that just not one of them knows what it means. But it's just like, I'm put to it. I mean, it's embarrassing to watch. It's hard to watch. Yeah, it was, I get Paul, it was so hard listening. And you can go on and say it's a new team. And as a new team, there's some new players obviously playing in the first old film game. But yeah, it was a little bit of team one. There's no getting away from that. And it's hard for me to say that. Don't get me wrong, but I've got to be honest. Paul, it means the fans can expect to give me about a team but we're not going out like that. We'll get that off. Mark, they're crying out for a Barry Ferguson now on the field though. Is that really the emotion? Barry's there supporting the club. But yeah, I think you look at, for example, you look at the Rangers team just now and you see it. I always say Paul, if you look at Celtic Rangers, is that the best player that you can get for that position? And I'm talking about, I'm not saying you can pay not to make sure, realistically. So you look at the two goalie, so you might go and button your fine. So let's look at the Rangers team like that. Let's look at the 15, 16 players of the start and 11. I mean, really, is that the best that Rangers can get? Is that the standard that Rangers are now at? Because I still get healthy wages. Is that really the best they can do? It was an all better set of half than proper out there. There's no Sunday better than the Tondo. So really, when you look at it, are they getting value for money? Are they getting the best that they can possibly get? I don't think they are just now. The manager really needs to help his game. And I know he's up against it, and I'm all for, can he just keep signing managers? Because in your contract, yeah. So I'm not saying to get rid of Philippe Clemon. I'm not saying that at all. What I'm saying is he has to help his game. And what you have to do now, because of the financial restraints on the club, and the new direction that the club's going in, and supporters like Paul and everybody else who need to change their mindset, whether they like it or not, they're going to have to change their mindset, is they need to get a manager, or Philippe Clemon needs to start improving players. So he's been at the club for 10 months. There's a players that are really improved under him. There's a players that are really, because, oh my God, look at the difference they managed by. Now, you want to compare Brendan Rodgers. So look at the difference in matter, really. When Brendan Rodgers first keep himself to look at the difference he made in Scott Brown, Callan McGregor, James Forrest. So you want to look at all those kind of things. So when you're up against it financially, you need to coach in your staff, in your coach, and improve, and see if the players don't want to improve or you're wasting your time in them, get them at the door. Because the money spent last summer, it's gone now, it's 18 million, and the money isn't there. Yeah, in the contracts that were given out as well, Paul. Yeah, they were huge. Too big, man, that's one of the things that, obviously the chairman is in the board of directors that are trying to cut down. And then you look at the two new signings, just in Friday, they've started to come in. I'll be honest with you, I don't know much about the centre back, the firenod boy, but I've heard that he's quick and he's aggressive. That is an area where I think the Ranger needs to strengthen. The Albanian international who's come in was playing in Serie A last year, done a bit of background work on him, we've seen him in the euros in the summer, looks decent, but we'll need to see if he doesn't improve the start of living quarters, get an injury at the start of the season, he's still at a come in, red vans injured. But these guys need to come in and make a difference. Well, they need to make Rangers stronger and better, because yesterday was a sore watch for the Rangers supporters. How worried were you? Heading home afterwards, after watching that. I was just, do you know what, I was flat, Paul, a bonus way. It was a sore one to take, because I thought it was pretty comfortable for Celtic. And it pains me to say that, it does. It's a golf, but baronocas for all the victories that Barry had over self if you want to flip it. And he had many victims. He said they're learning a couple of sore defeats, but he had many victims. But I bet you Barry, every victory you had for Rangers again, Celtic, I bet you had to walk your backside off and so did all the other boys beside you. And like you're saying, yes, I did, that's a worrying thing. Or Celtic, don't really have to absolutely want to be it, you know. Say for an example, the first go goes in. You obviously get that this will outgo five minutes later, bang, made the scores. I just felt the heads went down. And I'm thinking at that stage, you need three or four players in that pitch saying, hey, come on, listen, that's a sore one. That's a bad goal to lose, but you know what, still get 75 minutes. Come on, let's get together, let's stick together. Because you know after that, Celtic are going to commit you, they get a huge lift. The stadiums are ruptured. Yep. That's where you need to be strong. That's where you need to be able to gather this and I just felt yesterday. It kind of wasn't there. No. And there's no out goal. No. You've got that pressure, wave after wave after wave. What you do, you need an out goal. So you're looking at chaining and you're looking at the tone, going to take the ball and take it for a run. Let us get a breath, let us regroup. Nah, I just didn't feel that they turned the Celtic back forward. I was in front of Celtic. What defenders hate doing is running back towards their own goal. Just put a few balls over the top and into the corners. Force them back, get yourself up the pitch. Mark, what did you make of the columns this morning in the papers and looking at Keith Jackson and the record? Homeless, spineless, clueless, Phil's taking chairs in their own direction. Well, at the moment, can he argue with that, Paul? I mean, it's a field day. It's sowing fire in ranges now and has been since the summer. And really, when you trace it back, Paul, you know, I really think, for the supporters and for the players and stuff, the whole debacle with the stadium really put ranges in the back foot. You know, it really brought a lot of negativity. And that's nothing to go on clearly. No, it's not, but it's no, it's just going to fade its way right through the cup. It's a shock. You know, it's still great. And I played it handy. I haven't played Dini Wokeaev at handy. Didn't he do any favors? So you look at that. There's a real executive left, sorry. Chief executive, yeah. I said that he taught the program. I'm going to get a chief executive. Yep. And so you look at that. There's a cutting about it. It just doesn't appear to be when we were taught. One of the things that's been running through the program tonight has been leadership, a lack of leadership on the part yesterday. I think it's the same off the part right now. I think it's the same off the part. And that needs to be sorted as well. And in his column at the end, so Keith said, Philip Lemong has a lot of thinking to do if he's to convince his own fans that he really is the man with the plan after all. This is what the manager said about having a lot to work on. Yeah, that's difficult to say, of course, and that's something to discuss with the team. I think we had a good reaction in the second half then, but we lost 20-25 minutes in the first half for me in that way. That we were not showing our quality like we were doing in the first 10 minutes. We know we are in the start of something. So 16 players left the club. We have a lot of new guys. We have a lot of young guys. Look also the age difference between the starting 11 of Celtic today and ours. So we know we have a lot of things to work on, but we see also the potential that's there. You saw it in 10 minutes. In the beginning, you saw it also more in the second half. And we need to continue working on that the next weeks and the next months to be better in January to take the winner. Mark, he's won three titles in Belgium. And that'll be the benchmark here, winning a title. Yeah, but I would imagine, you know, Paul's listening to that, I'm listening to that. And I'm saying, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, your mail's off. But that's not what a Rangers managed to be saying. I see potential for 10 minutes. Come on. That's not acceptable. You know, give us a way back. A lamb bell started to ring moral victory. Rangers draw three, three, we sell it at eyebrows with 50,000 of their own supporters. And if you win that game, I think Rangers would have been champions. I do win that was there for them to go and win, but some moral victory. And again, so listen, I'm not saying for Leklimone to lose you. I'm not saying that. Rangers kind of keep changing my eyes. But what I'm saying is for Leklimone does need to be up his game. A, we want to produce on the park for 90 minutes on Saturday. And they've got a hell of a European schedule coming up as well. Paul, a lot of tough games. And B, I think what he's saying now, he really needs to take stock of the messages he's delivering. Because yesterday, what he's saying, that's no one off. This has been going on for months now. His messaging's poor for me. His messaging's poor. And it's not the messaging that should be coming from a Rangers manager that should know, he's been here 10 months, no 10 days. He should have a better grasp of what to say when you're the Rangers manager. Paul, I understand there's a, like a rebound, a reset, whatever way you want to put it right. But to be honest, it's about hearing now you're, you're demanding to win. That's what the Rangers fans expect. All bet you're going through that, but you're still expected to win games. You're footballers, you're not going to win every game in football. One thing is, if you do suffer a defeat, especially against your closest rivals, you've got to get down really fighting. That's what the fans demand and expect of you. He's staying for the next hour. No, I feel like I'm on. News is next time we're back. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen live weeknights from five on go. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Call, oh wait, wait, 17, 17, 700. Let's go, go, go, go. The goal that was disallowed was a brilliant work, build up playing, getting through. So it looked so, so tight and that would have been a fantastic goal for us. So a bit other opportunities in the game. I thought the speed in our game, how we attacked the space was exceptional in the game. And obviously we get three in them and we've got a few more. So everything that we want make it really, really difficult for the opposition. And obviously the crowd played the part today as well. So overall, fantastic result performance. Goals from Myda Kayogo at McGregor's Celtic winning 3-0 yesterday in the Derby. Dundee United, 1-0 against Hartz, Commandant 1-1 with Hibbs. Let's go back on the lines. Barry Ferguson is here. So too is Mark Quire. And Lee is on a Celtic fan. Good evening, Lee. Hi, good evening guys. Thanks for staying cool. Thanks for having me. Good to hear you for the first time, Lee. Thanks for calling Go Radio. So you'd be happy yesterday. Oh, over the moon yesterday, over the moon. Obviously a couple of nervous times, the first 10 minutes, then near the second half. Rangers had a bit more advantages and cash cut off a good cut, I say. But we're already free up at that point. But I do like him wanting to say that I'm being used to be how the Rangers find. They're getting on to the Rangers this now and how they feel, how bad they are. I believe we've got to give Rangers a better time to grow, give Commandant each time he's five-year contract that he deserves to build a team that's going to end up challenging. Because at the end of the day, Rangers are up against a lead manager on Rogers' nice fact, he's elite. I mean, a better time and a better patience because if we get rid of Commandant, Rangers get rid of Commandant, what else they're going to bring in? How are they going to get investment? And I really don't understand. I just think there needs to be patience in the city. People need to calm down a wee bit and just understand that Rangers and Celtic are where they are just now, and hopefully the engine will grow in the future. Barry, I know you would probably agree with that. Yeah, look, in terms of the fans, emotions are running high. It's right after a game. You've just suffered that a heavy defeat against your firstist rivals. And I don't like to see it. Paul, I've been honest, fans obviously have no goal. Listen, I've been part of it as well. I've had a bit of a backlash. But I've got to understand where we are. I do get that disappointed. As I was saying, after a game, I was so disappointed, angry, frustrated, whatever way you want to call it. But you don't like to see it. But also, as I said, it's raw. It's right after a game. Yeah, I know I'm only half after that. Yeah, it's no nice to see. I'll be honest with you. Mark, only two wins for Rangers in the last 16. Darby's. I don't remember a time when there's been such a golf. Certainly in terms of this game. I mean, I know if Rangers had beaten Ross County, I heard someone earlier on saying about that. They'd won that one. And the next game they would have won the last season, but they couldn't. They can't beat Celtic at the moment. No, I mean, I don't think. I don't know what Barry thinks. Right now, I don't think it's as bad as what it was when Pedro Cassinio was there. I mean, I think, you know, when he was grinding, no, just saying that they were turning up and you were actually saying, genuinely, how many is it going to be? It's not well-celled at win. It's like, how many is it going to be? Whatever the game took place. I don't think it's as bad as that now. But to be a successful Rangers manager, he needed beat Celtic and Felique Lemond. Yesterday was attempt number five on him personally. And he was nowhere near it. So that's something that needs to be looked at. And like I've said, a few times in the show, Paul, in terms of a meaningless league game, that'll be now, that's now over three years. Since Rangers beat Celtic in a meaningful league game, which was one of Stephen, I think Stephen Jerry's last old firm game, and Sports Decog was first. I books and Rangers won, one now. So when you look at that, then we're talking about a golf. So that shows you that there is a golf. Now, it could have been easily flippable at a season. You think about it, Rangers, but two, two color ones away from winning the title, clawing it back. But since then, obviously, the fit to be structured or scored, and then bringing the wages down. But let us say as well, I think a key point that happened in terrible, terrible timing and terrible management was that the fiasco with the stadium. I think that's genuinely, but I think that's, say, a rotten to the football club that there's nobody able to shake off so far. Lee, here's what Brendan Rogers said about Rangers paying them respect. Well, no, listen, you have to always respect. I thought Rangers started well in the game. And you always have to respect. And I do respect Fleet massively. He's, you know, having to walk through a difficult challenge has not been at the stadium and other issues. But I think for us, we go into every game, like it was a zip with Accumillity, known that we have to work. But the players work so hard, and we get to this point after a long pre-season, and we've started the season so well, and with a real good intensity. Yeah, I was just going to ask you. Yeah, Lee, thanks very much. First-time color there, thanks for calling Go Radio. We're going to move on. So many calls coming in. Here is Terry, a Celtic fan in the line. Good evening, Terry. Good evening, guys. How you doing? Yeah, good. Thank you. How about you? All right, ah, no bad. Yeah, obviously, happy with you yesterday. Just pick up, obviously, obviously, I was listening to a few of the different opinions and stuff. I thought he just stopped out for it yesterday, but I generally believe Celtic could have went another level after he did yesterday. I thought we'd play brilliant and spelt passing a bit of his good, obviously, carry on going forward with a lot of the great game. He just looked through the... That's his, I think, between strategy. And he's looked through the spina team. There's players like that. That's what I'm trying to say. There's players in that sport that... But I said, it's still in the field. If you need a social, I'm a model of a guy who can bring in. That's why I don't see it in just a minute. So I said, I just feel that it's so tough and you need to go another level. You have something to recommend that. What did you say? Yeah. Very well, in my opinion, it's the most important, sorry, part of the team. As a spina, you're team. I mean, for instance, you need a strong goalkeeper. Say it a half. I'm talking for Terry's office. I sell to him. I cut it off because he strokes it. Didn't he really? And then you've got to experience a column of Gregor in there. Hittati. And then you go up to Kiyogo, who is just a menace. He's a constant menace, isn't he? That's what he is. And then you look at the obviously Rangers team. And it's no as strong. And that's an area the team, where I think Rangers need to improve on. And I've said it. I said it last week before the window. They had to bring in our centre at half. And I don't know what the boy is going to be like. They brought in for 500. But I believe he's strong and quick. That's what you need as a defender. And I did say one of the key areas for me was getting a real experienced head in the middle of the pitch. I know they brought in their bending boy who's 25. He's played a lot of football. But he's a more forward-thinking player. I think Rangers needed the anchor. The guy who knits everything together in the middle of the pitch. And they don't have it. And they don't have it. But I've said, I think young Cora and Baron, since he's come in and has done well. Do Mandy's no kind of hit. The levels where I expected. But if you look at the Celtic team, they're really, really strong. Go keep a cent at half. Central midfield, cent at half. Yeah, I just want to get Mark's opinion. We haven't mentioned Rio Hitata yet, who played well. Maybe not his most outstanding game. I thought he was good just on there. Yeah, why not he was good? He had a great chance he'd just missed. Yeah, he should have issued a score. They missed that setter. Yeah. But we've not mentioned him. Yeah, I mean it positively. Yeah, excuse me, I thought he affected the game. Yeah. The Celtic midfield fee, as Barry said, they controlled, they dominated, they interchanged, they helped each other, they drive the team on, they get back to help the defenders. And more importantly, they got up. 'Cause you look at every time Celtic get the ball on a wide area, Paul. When you look up and you lifted your head from that wide area, you hit Kyogo, but in between the posts, you hit McGregor, you hit Titati, you hit Bernardo, all options. All hovering around the edge of the area, they're providing options. So they're bringing wonderful energy to the team. I just want to pick up on a point about one of these, I think, Celtic are doing so well, just looking at all the kind of faults or dangers, aren't they good? But Kyogo's looks back to himself again. I don't know what it is, but that's not just on yesterday. That's been since the start of the season. Go up the game again, come on. I thought he was terrific. Really lively on his toes. Looks like he's enjoying his football. Again, because I thought for a spell last season, he just wasn't himself, even the Cup final, Brendan Rodgers took him off and rightly so. He just wasn't on it, but you see it. And again, when you just take a wee step back and look at his finish for the goal from 25 yards. And I've criticized Butlin for the goal, but still to go and beat a goalkeeper of that stature and make it look so easy. You know, Celtic are very, very fortunate to have a guy like Kyogo, particularly when he's firing in all cylinders. And I think another key point is why Celtic are really looking the path this season, Paul, as Brendan Rodgers is in charge. Yeah, that's great. Brendan Rodgers is in charge. This time last year, Brendan Rodgers, I think just was finding his way. No one in trading toes. Maybe one or two people not doing everything. They should have been foreign behind the scenes. But now he is absolutely in charge and Celtic. I've written the benefits of that. In terms of what Mark was talking about, Kyogo there. See the thing I pray and places me a bit on, but it's not about his quality or finishing. That's what everybody looks at. I was astonished, he's what, right? I was astonished, how? Because when you watch it on teller, but I don't go and watch Celtic live. No, obviously, but I was there yesterday at the game, and I was taken aback how hard he was for the team. I think it was teeing off and up, and he sprinted six feet yards back to tackle. Now the game's over and done, mate, at that stage. And that's the thing that impresses me more, actually, about a player than having, obviously, he's got a good ability. He's a goal scorer, but it's the dirty side of the game that certainly him and Maeda as well. I mean, the work he likes about equality made of going forward these final ball at times. But oh my god, man, does he work for the team? Jerry, what's your final point? I just, just over there, obviously, Chad Ligro, I'm always sad. He passes a selfie. I think we got a favorable drawup, I can get an error. I know you're playing against obviously the fact that Chad Lig finalists, you're going to be the only player like anyone else. But on paper, it could have been a lot harder. And it could have been a lot harder. But I just want to ask you, Parliament, how do you think something will be in Europe? That you have to think it could be something that could make a lot of go. And I'll just say we'll just be the same old, just to animate our moves up the same old. We'll talk about that as there, because there's lots of Celtic and Rangers fans on just now. So stay with us, Terry. We welcome back to that before the end. I promise David is on from, wait, what's the speaker about Kayogo as well? So let's do that now. David, good evening. Hey, good evening, Pato. How are you? Yeah, everybody's fine. Thank you. Barry's been betting up well. I'm getting further and further under this table here. I'm just going to talk about the Empire. Over to the Hugo, bring yesterday the Empire to here, then again. And I'm just very spot to speak about the fact that I think because it's so good against Rangers, because I think the game is so old, that it suits them, because Rangers over to come and Celtic, but another lot of sudden we're having made behind the ball. So I think going through all the games that you've got on Europe, or with the Grisia Dortmund away, Aspen's all away. I think because they play so high, their house, Hugo, they play on the shoulder, which I think will make them such an impact. And I just want to hear what you're just making up. I think that it's a good point. Yeah, in terms of the old film games are very open. And you look at the quality of the goals that he scored against Rangers. And David, do you know the one yesterday, the one in the first old film game of last season at Iberts, when he's pounced and struck it early, and what a hell of a finish it was, too. So yeah, I think that's a good point, in terms of the European games. It's Dortmund away, and Villa away, isn't it? And listen, I think Dortmund will speak for themselves. Villa have watched a number of times in the plays. Villa are the top, top side Unai Emery in the squad. They've got there. I mean, I just hope that for Celtic's sake, that it's the last game of the eight, that I hopefully don't need to go there to get a result to stay in Europe, because I don't think they would get one to be perfectly honest. But to pick up a new point and tear these points previously, looking at it now, it's time for Celtic to improve. They can't be the whipping boys anymore, not in that group. After the whipping boys in that group, I think it would be an embarrassment. And I don't see any reason why Celtic can't really go on. I would say, I would say I'd be very disappointed, or I think it would be a failure, if Celtic didn't get at least 10 points from the eight games they did. You look at the four home games they've got. Leipzig, they're good. They're a decent outfit. But you look at Bruges, Bratz Laven, and young boys. No disrespect, listen, you've got to be a good team if you're in the Champions League, but Celtic have got to be a looking to be beating their teams at home. David, do you agree? David, are you hopeful in Europe then? The home games? Yeah, definitely. I think, I can't really say anything different to what it's already been saying. The minimum at 10 points, especially just with your home games, and then anything you get away from your home is just a bonus, but it's just good to be in a month. In a month I've got to be in a more important new format. Champions League football have a Christmas. Whether you're qualified or not should be different. And then the money brings in the Scottish football as well, which helps. I've done some of it a lot more competitive, and hopefully it's helping. They're about missing your father, follow-up. Surely this season with the new format, David, who was your man in the match yesterday? I was at a game yesterday, and up until Paul Bernardo took off, I would say Bernardo. I don't remember that part. He was amazing. That's all the shoulder, the effort, the termination. Every time he lost the ball, he was tracking back to win a barbecue game, but if you can't find the aspect of it, you've got to step up and step up when it's needed. Barry, if you were asked to sell the man of the match, who would you say? Bernardo? Yeah, until he came off, he definitely impressed me in the middle of the pitch. I think he's improved since last year. Watched the game last week again. It's a month I thought he'd come in, because I thought the talk was about a rally one, because obviously a rally's been a massive party. It worked south to have achieved over the last couple of years. And I think he's at an age where he's still got a bit of improvement to go. I do, but you can see he's technically gifted. And as I mentioned to you, I was actually surprised at the sizing, and it's always good to have a midfielder that's got a bit of a physical presence about him, and I think he's got that mark there. All firm games often, one that good players sometimes fail in, but he did well last season in this one. And this season, he started well yesterday. Yeah, I mean, he got a goal against Rangers. It started part last season, played well. And yesterday, I gave it to the L on the programme. I thought he was terrific. I thought he was really good at the real determination. His body said he's about six foot two. He's got a real presence, very elegant, as well, but can mix it. You can get in and mix it, and then he can lift his head, pick a pass, be a goal threat. So yeah, he was very, very good. And it's a, when you're looking at it now, you know, sort of bit of haggling during the summer to get him, which is fair enough. No problem with that. So if they've picked him up for three and a half to four million pounds, Paul, that's a real good bit of business. That's an absolute bargain. David, where is your seat in the ground? I was sitting on my foot at boys yesterday in the northeast down. But I just, I'll hand you, one tick is in a raffle yesterday. Well, it's not a bad one to win, then a three-nil in the derby. Barry, how was your seat? Well, we saw you there. Give us a wee insight into the board. There are many big names there. I mean, we saw a blow felt. The actor, you know his name? Christoph Volkswagen. Christoph Volkswagen was there. Some of the pointed, pointed them out after the game. But I wasn't interested after the game on that. It was some of the big names though in the board. Yeah, there was a few, yeah. Rod Stewart was roaming about. Did he speak to you? Did he come over? Yep, he did. I think he was trying to win, not right enough. What did you say to love your music? I think you were winding each other. Well, that's not as well. Yeah, it was a good experience. I'll give it that, because it was interesting to see what it was going to be like. When you're going there and you've got no away fans. And obviously, it was a Celtic state. I'm not going to catch you on. It was tough, it was tough, but listen. That's how it was. There was one as yesterday. There was no getting away for that. Brendan Rodgers after was saying his team, they never stopped. They're always pushing. Yeah, well, we aim to make it as difficult as we can for the opposition, that's the idea. So we never want to risk on 2-0. We want to get 3-4-5. And it could have been that in the second half. And good news for the Celtic fans, Almanis for the rest of the league, and particularly Rangers yesterday, 30 million on the bench. And that's just six of the players. What about those who came on? Well, I think it will be a squad game for us. It's really nice that Arna comes in, Luke comes in. Adam, obviously, understands having been at the club. But those guys know the challenge to keep the intensity, keep the mentality in the game. And yeah, great for Luke coming in, big Celtic supporters. So he comes in, makes his first appearance in a Celtic Rangers game. So that'll give him great pride. And now he knows how we function, how we operate. He'll hopefully only get better. But it will be a collective for us this season. And that was always the message. Mark, a strong bench there for Celtic. Arna Ingles, what did you think when he came on? Yeah, I mean, just going to be coming on. Certainly looked confident off ball. Wanted to get involved, always looking for the ball. Taking a couple of set pieces. So, yeah, he looked apart. I think we spoke about him in Friday. The rave about him in Belgium, Paul. There's real high hopes for him and his homeland. And I think the other thing as well, a lot of people say, "Oh, why has he ended up at Celtic? If he's that good with the greatest of the speck?" You know, but I think one of the thing again, to look at it when word gets about about your football club, and this is where Rangers are going to have to improve as well, Paul, is that Celtic can show evidence of players coming, playing champions like football, winning things, being well paid, and then being allowed to go. You're not kept against your will, and then you get a good move, because Serie A, La Liga, English Premier League, are looking at your plate. Celtic can cite evidence of that, player after player after player after player after player. And that'll be part of the selling point to the Ingles. Ganti champions like football coming when I title, playing front at 60,000 fans. And see within two years, yeah, we've walked top dollar for you. But we won't look for something unrealistic, and here's the evidence of how we operate. The agents will be well familiar with how Celtic operate. So all the things at that point, all going to the mix, and again, that's just another part of where Rangers need to improve and need to go up to a higher level. That's the question after the break. What's next for Rangers? And what about Celtic too? Because we're into the international break next. We won't be speaking about that now, though. We're still looking back on yesterday and looking forward to what's coming up all season. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Let's go, let's go. So many calls come in tonight, many first-time callers as well. Thank you for making the switch to the Go Radio Football Show, the Go Radio. Business show was back yesterday. If you haven't heard of it, Barry, you would be at the game. Mark, you were getting ready for it. Sensational hunter and hockey back on top form. They call it as they see it. You get that insight. Look at the feet in the ground. They care so much about Glasgow and Scotland. The people here, brilliant, well worth listening to. Wherever you get your podcast. Definitely. Okay, good career move. No, it's honestly really, really good. They'll be listening. Let's go back on the lines. It's Chris in Gavin, a Celtic fan. Good evening, Chris. How are we, lad? You too. Yep, thanks. How are you? Oh, delighted after yesterday's performance. Delighted. It was one of the best performers I've seen in recent years. I thought yesterday was the first time really against Rangers, where we actually had taught form and played, I think, to what potential or full potential. In a while, do you know what I mean, since Ange? But Rangers were awful as well. I mean, it wasn't just, it was, we were, it's exceptional. They were awful. Do you know what I mean? Mark. Hello? Yeah, yeah, we're listening to you. So, awful. Yeah, we'll see you there. No, no, no, no, no. The nation's listening. Yeah. So that's your point. Celtic, Celtic, Celtic were sensational. No, no, no, no, no. My actual point was more about what happened after the game back at iBrox with the players. Gavin, I got with the fans having more players. There was no need for that. You have an ex-ringers captain sitting there, who I remember in a Celtic Rangers game at Parkhead, was sent off. And in the very next game, they beat us at iBrox, and he's called Don and Go. Now, if you could go down and, you know, if they dropped half on the air, they sat clamoring, you know, they sat the bug, then what happens? They'll go back the way, Celtic will progress, and then eventually what you're going to have is you're going to have Rangers miles behind, and I've actually been talking to certain Rangers fans today. I believe Abedim will split the old firm this year. You're kidding. Are you serious? I'm serious. I think Abedim, I've watched them this season on sports, seen in other places as well. I think they're a good side. Yeah, Jimmy Tillings made a difference. Sorry. Yep. They're a good side, Chris. They're listening to the weekend, but they're not for me. I'm hearing this narrative in the wake of yesterday's game. I'm not buying it yet. And they might be wrong, but for me, Rangers. It's been a great save. Yeah, we can. The penalty was fantastic. And then he talks about a great side of them as a goalie, but over the piece, for me, Rangers will be. I think Salty will be comfortable winners in the title, but also think Rangers will be comfortable second place. But Chris, of course, you've got an opinion. And, Barry, what would you say to Chris? I mean, we're all disagreeing. We are poor. That kind of behavior. To first of all, James Tavern is a good place for us. Yeah, I don't like seeing it, Paul. I've been honest with you. Look, it's raw. I mentioned that you've just suffered a heavy defeat. Salty were convincing. Yeah, I just don't like seeing that kind of level of abuse. But as I said, emotions run high. You know what it means to so many people, but I've been brutally honest. No, I don't. I'm all for fans. No, I've been happy and saying, listen, it's no good enough. But sometimes when it becomes really personal, I don't like to see that. Chris, stay with us, Barry. You did say in August when the transfer window closes, I'll give you my prediction for the title. So I've got to throw it to you tonight. What do you say now? I'll give you my prediction of the Rangers squad. That's what I said. The strength is squad. It's the squad. No, I think they needed that another couple of players, Paul. So it's not strong enough to win the league? No, I think they needed another couple of players coming in. The two last minute deals, while they make them stronger, time will tell. There's no game for a couple of weeks, but I do. I did believe that Rangers did need another couple of players and to help the current squad. Can't Will lift at the last moment. I think that Guinness had to. There was no movement whatsoever. Nothing broke really for the manager, did it? He didn't get a break of the ball really metaphorically during the transfer window. He just didn't get that much money. No, about finances are tight, Paul. Is investment going to come into the club? I know you don't know the answer. I don't know, but I do know that the club would welcome investment. There's no doubt about that. Dave King said last week, though, when there was a report of American money coming in. No, no, no, not my shareholder holding. And he's got 14%. They haven't got the $14 million now from the Champions League. We need a strong Rangers strong sell tag. I don't know the numbers in terms of the Europa League. I know that money will come in from the Europa League, but it's absolutely nowhere near what you're going to get at Champions League level. But there are decent finances while that goes towards the next kind of rebound or the squad that have ever come in January. Just let it wait and see what kind of money's available. But in terms of the players coming in to the current squad, I do believe that they needed another two or three in Topi. What come in the final day. And I know there was 10 signings, but if you look at the 10 signings, Paul, probably six of them are project, they try and make better to obviously sell on, they bring money in in the future. They've got proper and churnly, who have got a bit of experience about them. But the other two, one's 25, they're being midfielder and they sent it back from firenood. It's only 22, so he's obviously a young man still. Chris, what did you make of Celtic's transfer window? Oh, brilliant. I thought, you know, Matt Rayleigh leaving. I think it was one of those things. I think the soon as Paul, but Nardo was announced, Matt Rayleigh was going. That was a lot of a gathering. I then think we strengthened the forward. We got Adam Aida. Maybe paid slightly over the odds, but time will tell. I think on the angles, brilliant. I love the million. I hope he pays back his transfer fee. You know what I mean? I hope he, you know, could just run the part. And look, McIlven, any time I've seen him play for Indeed, he's been very well, I think. And also the boy trustee sent it back. That's obviously been brought in to obviously challenge Liam Scales and obviously Valley left back. That they're the thing with him as boss, I want to have him given us an obligation to buy. No. So clearly, they think that he's worth something. They want obviously given us him. Did they want him back to either flog him to someone for a higher price? Because they want us to put him on the stage in the Champions League and so did Esther Europe, what this boy can do, and then potentially sell him for more money. Mark, for Celtic fans, you know, is looking really good, because often the board accretesised one here as well. But the window, how would you assess it? Yeah, I see it in Friday. I think the window is a very good one, Paul on paper, we don't know it in your signings. Yeah, we'll see how they do. A window, it's a very good one. I don't think it's a brilliant window. And yeah, I thought they might have spent a bit more money, and I know spending the money as they'd be all in end, also about what you bring in, well, they cost 10 million or 500 grand. And I think, look, McCown, like Dave's just saying, I think it'll be a really good signing, a million odd quid. But don't forget Celtic, and this is what's a credit again to Brendan Rogers, they're in the black, Paul. So they've spent a few quid, but they've brought in even more. So you could say, yes, that's a good business model, but also you could say, well, you might have been, you could have maybe brought in one or two more players where Europe and mine, and I think Celtic now, came out today 184 pounds for the four game package for the Champions League. So that'll bring in approximately 10 million pounds, and Champions League ticket money alone, regardless of how you're doing, the tournament, Rangers will announce this week. I don't know if it's confirmed if it's going to be eyebrows or hammed and when it's going to be, but that'll bring in six and a half to seven million pounds, if it sells out for Rangers package. So that's more money coming into both clubs, but there's no doubt Celtic on a very, very healthy situation. And the other thing, when you look at the squad, it's full assets, Paul, that if you needed to, you could sell for big money. Chris, thanks very much for your call. O8, O8, 17, 17, 700. We're just seeing on Skye there, they're showing you back to Super Sunday yesterday. Salah's not at all, it's dizzy, but what a striker. Is that anyone like him when it comes to that derby with money? No, it's all in there. Oh, there's no bad in there. Yeah, he's under the final year he's contract as well. Yeah, sort of interesting. He see if he does see Liverpool, or does he move elsewhere? Kitchen. Yeah, but he's not, he's a talk player. He's slotted in well, hasn't he, the manager? Has the, to be fair, I heard soon and say, "I don't see any difference in the style." You know, some people are saying experts, "Oh, the style's a bit different." I think they're a bit more controlled. Possession based under Klopp, you know, with a light, they're all guns blazing, wouldn't they, the type of, type of team, but I think they're more controlled under a nice lot. Type of contenders. Do you think they might want it? I think you're going man, city. Yeah, I just can't see past. Man's city? Pep. Mark? He's brilliant, Pep. I'm trying to see how the investigation goes. The EPA with 125 charges. It's 25. It's 25. Well, the bubble Boston at Man's city, can he see it? And then you look at Holland again. I mean, it makes it look so easy. He finishes in incredible. It just makes it look so easy. And bringing back Gundigan, then you don't really should, looking if he's got a point to do again. So yeah, they do look good. I'd like to see Liverpool again. And I think they're too slow. He's not wearing a seat. Yeah, OK. If he wanted to, I'm sure he could have spent 100 million, if he wanted to, but he's not. He said, "No, actually, I've got some really good players here. I'm going to work with these guys. I'm going to make them better. I'm going to make them build anyway." I believe we'll take us to become the title. What else? Can you imagine? I've enjoyed this last couple of minutes. Could we? Exactly. Yeah, it's great. It's Manchester Zone here. Can you imagine the phone in there? Tonight, Barry. Man United fans. They must be. And what's all about? Erik Tenhag. He got a new contract. We wish him all the very best. But can you see him turning this round? No, I can't see them finishing the top four. Do you know what I think? It's real poor. They say that he'd only kept his job because I wasn't really anybody. So to what he'd come in and replace him. Do you know what I get? And I know Gary Southgate's available now and he's got a relationship with Dan Ashworth. So wouldn't he reload Southgate taking over? However, I think there is a shortage. A top manager. And I'll give you a classic example with the greatest of respect. Vincent Compton takes Burnley down and becomes a manager by a musician. That's never happened to us. That's just incredible for me. That would never have happened five or 10 years ago. So for me, there is a shortage of top, top managers out there because and you think you're the way that Burnley went down. He never ever changed his style, I don't know. He refused. And I don't want to get a philosophy. Yeah, but you're not getting points. There's £150 million in the line here. Can we remember just trying to again and clear the lines? No, you're just going to be the same as Southampton this season. Russell Martin's Scottish and good luck to what he's scorched in the mail. Look at the goals I've considered this season. Absolutely messing about and then around the round penalty box losing goal. After goal, after goal. Clear your lines there. Just every now and again. Just clear your lines. Shortage of top managers, Barry. Would you go back into it? I mean I know it's only £5 or £6 million a year. No, I'm just, I'm £8. I can't believe it too. No, I'm just happy with what you're doing. What I'm doing and I'm really happy that you've changed the subject. And you're enjoying this, Bennett? You like this one? Declan Rice. What's that about? Just watch that again. Set off. What? He's never been sent off before. I just watched that again there. Is that not? I mean, it is. No, if he's kicked the ball into the supporters or whatever. He's just a slight flicker, but it's never a, yeah, it's coming up here. And we'll just watch that again. Let's see it again. And we'll describe it. Well, that was like yesterday with John Harstle and Craig Moore. That's it. Yeah. And again, booted them as well. So, yeah. Yeah, another yellow card for that. No, I think that's, that's nothing in that. And no, no. No. Billy's on saying, Barry, what about, okay, it's the break now for Scotland. It's going to be Dunedinated Rangers Sunday, the 15th of September between now and then Rangers. I mean, what do they do? Well, there's a hell in a lot of work. I would imagine that. I don't think they'll get many days off. Oh, naturally you would give players. I think they might have today off, maybe tomorrow, but you'd go in that training ground. Oh, for a few hours every single day, getting ready for this trip up to Canada. And a couple of weeks, because you know what, they need to go there and they need to make sure they come back with three points. That's for sure. Because you can't go any more points behind Celtic at such an early stage in the season. I know they're starting to board games to go, but I mean, it's, I mean, I looked at the fact that it's over the night. I kind of do it in blocks in next six games. Dunedinated. Yep, Dunedinated home, sorry. Back at Iberks, probably. You think for the day? Half to be, Paul. They're half to be. Yeah, they're in three sides. No, yeah. If it's not 100% ready, you get back, and you open the three stands. They have to get back home, Paul. Mark, there's a call. Barry fucking says they've got to be back. They've got to be back for that game. Absolutely. They need to do everything possible to make sure you're back in your home patch. And there's Europa League. Malmo, of course, in the 26th of September, and then they're at home to Hibbs, and then they've got Leon at home at some game, isn't it? Third of October, St Johnson at home. Then they're at Kelly on the 19th of October, and then it's now a Bucharest at home, and then it's Rangers St. Marin, 26th of October, and then they're at Petorgi on the 30th. Can you believe it? We're into September already. Oh, wait, 17, 17, 700. Barry's here, so, too, is Mark. This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Last section of the program, it has flown in tonight. Barry, maybe not agree, but he wants to go back to the Lord of Lakes in England to discuss it, but we said no chance. We're going to take more calls. Before that, Joe's been on from Hillhead saying, "Barry, captains like you in short supply these days, isn't it the case that the old-school captains don't exist anymore and can't, because it's a softer, less-shouty approach? Would that be fair?" Well, I still think there's a place for that in the game porn. I still think there is players out there that are natural leaders. Those are all bad instructions. And it's not just about the captain, Paul. As I said, I played on teams when there was probably three or four captains. Who were the loudest ones? The Boer. Listen, I could drive off so many. We were lucky enough to have so many, so many leaders. And I think it's an important part, Paul. See me, you've got a quiet team. I didn't like playing a quiet team. I liked noisy teams. And listen, I think if you ask, you've asked majority of my ex-team mates that probably say I was a pain in the backside. But that was just the way I was. But I also had players that I played with it. They wouldn't show up during the game. But I liked that. I always kept knowing my toes. I found it. He's got a supplementary scene. But do you think Barry Celtic has a better culture of players playing for the club rather than just a payday? That's hard one to answer, Joe, I would say. Do you know why I come up in conversation a bit? If you look at the Celtic team, is that a way? Phone players playing with Celtic as well. You look probably now, if you look at the start in the living, you've got Taylor and McGregor. Forrest come off a bench and our skills is Irish. Then you look at Rangers. They had Conan Barren. They also had a half-sitter. So, Jack Butler is English. Yeah, I do like to see players who are pretty vocal on the pitch. And that is one thing. And it's not just unlabeling at this Rangers team because of the game yesterday. The Rangers teams that I've looked in the past over the last two or three years have not seen noisy players. I like to hear players. It always struck me that Golden was the most vocal. That's one thing I've gotten on. I said the clatter, I thought his time had come to an end at Rangers. And rightly so. However, he struck me as being one of those guys, even if it was, they're having the best game of trying to keep people around a bit. I mean, even see them as to James Tavernier a number of times. But Tavernier on conversations with goalkeeper and the holding midfielder in Toronto. Well, I don't think he's as good as proper. Sorry, I think he's better than proper. That said, I think it was time for corner goals and to go. And maybe for James Tavernier, if he's got a chance to go, Barry, because of the personal use... Well, there's always been interest me that's been spoke about Paul Fudd. Well, over a year now about James, whether he's going to stay, whether he's going to go, there has been interest from other clubs. But in terms of getting back to that question that you asked me, do I think it's a dime breed? I do think it is a dime breed. There's not as many people vocal on the pitch. And I used to be vocal just for the sake of maybe getting a reaction off one of my teammates. And that's very lifeload. That'd be a good point. You might know the playing well, right? But I still kept on it. Everybody else to get a reaction. And have a wee go back at me. And then they would go and maybe when I talk or score a goal, I'll set a goal up. There's nothing off the coin flick, Paul. I'm not talking about what you have to roll about with people and have a fist fight. But you want to get a reaction. And that's what I try to do for the best for my teammate, try and get a reaction off people in the vast majority of the time. I got that, but if you ask any of my teammates, they would call me a morning fist. They would indeed. And they used the one. And they do. They do. Terry's on the line. Hi, Terry. A Celtic fan. Good evening. Hi, Paul. Hi, Barry. How are you doing? Hi, Terry. How are you doing, Terry? How are you? Terry, what are you thinking? Great. I'm having a great performance. But I still think we never really had to step up again. Those kind of in through the motions at some parts of that game. You know, it was just a take. Barry to task over seeing a bit Celtic fan. He's been over confident, I think. We'd have to like to be over confident. The football we've been playing, been great of late. We are the benchmark at the end of the day. And I think Barry's been a bit of a blind face. I know he's a major man, but actually he's seen me just for the first time at close quarters, just so then I just think they're really unprepared for the season ahead. I think the manager's out his depth as well. I think there was this main style of play that I seen. I know the first time managed to press well, but that was it. That was the rest. It was reduced electric. Can I who stole it? I thought it was me part of the play. I thought I could see. I agree with Terry in terms of it. I don't think that it had to work as hard as it should have to get the result. I thought after the first 10 minutes, one stack. I keep going back to it. That's allowed sort of should I say goal. That was a start. You could see there was a bit of fear. And then obviously four or five minutes later, so to get that first goal. And then it was it was dominance. I know they started the game all right in the second half, but it felt too comfortable for Salty. I've been honest, when I was sitting there watching it, I thought it was comfortable for them, which hurts me to say. But listen, I've got to be honest, isn't it? And Salty are the bench market at the moment in Scotland. Well, they started off listening. They did really good pre-season. Isn't they the good performances pre-season? I know a lesson doesn't account for much, but listen, they've started off this season. Four wins on the bounce in the league. They look pretty comfortable. And I said that I think they're playing a yard quicker as well. I think they're moving the ball. Is when I watched Salty sometimes last year, I thought it was a bit slow. I don't know if you agree, Terry, but this year. No, no, definitely a bit sluggish last year. Yeah, but I think they've got a module back. Oh, you could see that. You could see players that are playing way with confidence. Terry, what are you thinking for Europe? Because obviously, that's where, obviously, you want to win the league. Oh, no, definitely. What were you thinking this year? Well, I think, obviously, like, I'm about a really tough game and I could take anything out of that game, but the other three home matches are definitely vulnerable. Maybe pick up a point here or there away from home. Who knows? But no, I would like to be playing and getting it out final 24. I think we should be a bit accurate, anyway. Mark, that would be brilliant, wouldn't it? For Celtic, for Scotland to get through and beyond. I know the games are in January, but after that... Yeah, absolutely. That's quite a bit of the end. Paul, the way the champion's leading the new structure now is it certainly gives you more of a chance, I would say, and let us say now a couple of times, I think it would be a very disappointing campaign of Celtic. Don't get at least 10 points at 24. I think it would be, you've got to be looking at that. But we'll be able to judge probably after three or four games, what's going to be the kind of magic number they get you through, and that can be able to play against each other. The top eight go through and then the next 16 will play off. So Celtic have got to be able to get into that 16 play-off spot. And I don't see any reason why they shouldn't. Other people say, "Well, where's the evidence?" They suggest because Celtic have been really poor in Europe for a number of years. But thinking now the manager, the caliber, the player they've got, the way they're playing, and I think they draw has been counting them. Nothing wrong with that, nothing wrong with that. But I think they draw has been counting. So let us say, I'd be expecting a minimum of 10 points, and I think it would be really a bit unacceptable Celtic getting less than 10 points. Some people don't like change, but I quite like the new format. Yeah. I do, I'm all for it, playing different teams. You know, it's like home and away, you play them. But yeah, that's his tickle in my fans. Yeah, I like it. Terry, you'll be looking for an invincible season. Do you think you'll have one in the league? Oh, no, I'm not going to hang out there with you. Yeah, keep your feet on the ground. Yeah. Ah, definitely. But I think it will be interesting. I think I've watched on DNA from the other side. I think they're playing no bad stuff. But I've seen as well. So, yeah, there's no bad stuff. Oh, good for the league and that kind of thing like that. Yeah. Terry, thanks so much. They're the colours on all sides, Barry. I've been talking sensibly, haven't they? You mentioned there about Dundee United. What a start to the season for Jim Goodwin. 1-0 yesterday, Ross Graham, on marked beating hearts. But what about Dundee United, point of view? Yeah, he's got to be really happy with the start. They've had, Paul, and listening to our fans, they've made a go-to-ting castle. In Sunday, it's a brilliant three points. But hearts are in an awkward situation. That's moment in time, Paul. If you ask me to start at the season, who would finish that? I would probably say it has. We look at the signings they made as well. Danda, I thought, was a standout for Ross County. It's battle, excellent for Motherwell. And then, obviously, you've got the shank ones in this world. They, for me, were the sets for third place. But it's been a difficult start to the season and they need to get results as soon as possible. Terry, thanks for your call. We've actually only got a minute and a half left. Great. Yep. Dundee and St. Marin, two-two-year-old team. We've got the former, St. Marin Reserve. Go-keeper here, Mark Guire. Actually, somebody was asking me the weekends. A great journalist, isn't he? What was he like as a keeper? So, we played a lot higher level than me. Two-one, Motherwell. Big result for them. Great result. Yeah. Really good result for Motherwell. Credit to Stuttke, too. I was really going, I'm going, considering they lost a couple of really good players in the summer. Mus is a bae. The fans are loving them. Ninety-fourth minute, Mark. Yeah, yeah, they're getting credit for digging in. Perth, never an easy place to go. But, you know, Motherwell certainly got a disaster point. For sure. And, Aberdeen, we mentioned them. Kevin Nisbitt scoring. Barry Hins scored for, well, this year at all. So, vital. Yeah, I've always liked Kevin Nisbitt. He's went down a mile wall. It's not quite worked out for him. He's come back up to the Premier League, and listen. It starts with what you want when you make your debut. You've got off to go off to Scorna, a goal, good finish, good player. And he'll be looking to try and force his way back into that scoring squad. Scorna scored back together today. Kelly and Hibbs won one big point for Dett McInnes, especially in that it was a late, late goal as well. Bruce Anderson penalty. Yeah, he took it really. When the penalty kick got him, took it, slotted it away. Really important point for Comannock. Paul, but for Hibbs again, David Gray and the lead in and thrown away three points. Listen, we're going to go on for another couple of hours. Barry's insisting. Oh, he's fixed. Barry, thanks for joining us. See you again Wednesday. Not a problem. I'm just going straight to my scratch. And Mark back later in the week, we're back here tomorrow night at five. I think it's Stephen McGinn and John Harson. Enjoy the rest of the evening. This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen live weeknights from five on goal. Let's go!
