Listen back to Paul Cooney, Barry Ferguson and Mark Guidi as they talk all things Scottish football.

This is the Goradio football show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Call 08 or 08 at 17/17/700. It's Paul Cooney, Barry Ferguson and Mark Gudio on transfer, deadline date and on this day the news is, and to post the call goes, it's going to eyebrows for the match, one of the games in the Europa League. We heard it this morning, Barry, man united as well. It's a brilliant draw for Rangers and for the fans. If I was still playing and I was watching that draw come through, I'd be super excited as you mentioned there. Talk to them. Big club, some fantastic players. Obviously Angipore is the Koglu being there coming back to Scotland and obviously Manchester United as well. We all know how big a club will be at the struggle over the last number of years but they're still a huge club. But if you look at the draw for Rangers as well, Leo and the Olympia course, you would class them as Champions League teams, albeit they're in the Europa League. So, overall, you've got to be excited by that draw. You like the format so far? It was good yesterday, so take a bit of that. Yeah, I like it, both the Champions League and Europa League format. Paul, something different and I'm all for change. And looking at it, it's certainly exciting. Mark, as you know, so Rangers at home to Tottenham, Leon, Union, San Galois and this type of book arrest, a waiter, Manchester United, Olympiacos, Malmo and Nisne on the coat Dazzur, one of your favourite spots. Yes, actually, I'm not doing what I was starting to say, but a sexy draw, Paul, really, really sexy, you know, for the, for the dangerous supporters, mouth-watering, you know, the four home ties, nice attractive away ties as well and for Philippe Clemon and the players, as Barry said, they'll be absolutely buzzing, Paul, you know, of course, you know, going to El Troft, spots coming and you think, oh, right, okay, let's be careful. However, you've got to go and brace it, European football, it's where you want to be and, you know, that pulls almost like a Champions League draw, you know, in terms of the quality of the opposition, it's brilliant. Yeah, exactly, but Mark just says, yeah, see as a player, see if you don't get excited by that. Chuck it. Yeah, you've got a problem. Well, but listen, you won't even the Champions League. No doubt about that, but listen, you're in the Europa League and when some of their teams come out, you're thinking, but I'll bring it on. Tasting yourself against them, of course. Fantastic managers, fantastic players. That's what it's all about. Spurs manager, Angie Postakog, will fomile your face and voice, so today's media conference he was asked, how are you feeling? You're going back to Gavin? You know, no, exciting. Good to be a part of it and yeah, some good games and yeah, sure, I'll get a warm reception there. Oh, Brock's looking forward to seeing you. Good bit of humour there from Angie. You wouldn't expect anything else. Yeah, listen, he knows what it's all about. Listen, he had a successful time up, he'll not doubt about it. I think when he came here, it wasn't really well-known, Paul, but he showed how good the manager he was and you've got to be honest, the way that his team played was very attractive and he took that down south to Tottenham. Let's hear from Brendan Rogers speaking about Champions League. We'll give you transfer news in a moment or two. Transfer deadline date closes tonight at 11. Celtic, as you know, up against Leipzig at home, away to Borussia Dortmund. We spoke to Paul Lambert in the show last night. Club Brouge at home at Atlanta over there in Italy, young boys of Bernard coming to Glasgow, Dynamo, we're going over there, Celtic will be playing there, Batas Lava at home and Aston Villa. Wow, that's some tie, isn't it? Yeah, yeah, it's a brilliant, I think Celtic, Paul, obviously the Dortmund tie, Aston Villa at Atlanta. It's a really good draw from, it's sexy in some ways, but I think the four home games, it's actually good to look at the calibre of what it was actually, but it's not a sexy in terms of their home games. I don't think so. Sorry, it could be good for Celtic, Paul, you're looking at that thing, Camille, Celtic's last two years, they get four points on the Brendan Rogers, the last game they get a victory, but it was a dead rubber. The year before that, lots of plaudits for Ann Sposte, the call goes team, but the reality of it was to get one point, one point at 18, one point at six games. But when you look at this now, you can see yourself, what's up for grabs, eight games, 24 points, Celtic have got to be looking at getting minimum 10 points at a 24, Paul, maybe even more than that, but I think it's realistic. And if they kind of get that, see this creation that you've asked about Celtic at this level. Brendan Rogers was asked about the draw today. I think we were all anticipating what we're going to look like because we all loved the draw and everything else before, but I thought it was really well done. And of course then the teams that we've got, absolutely fantastic. You know, we're playing against the Champions League finalist, we're playing a Europa League winner amongst the other teams. So it's so exciting, as from a manager's perspective, from the players, we get the chance to play against the best in Europe, and then we also get some really, really exciting cities for the supporters to go to. But of course, we're here for the football, and we also want to make a mark on that. That was a great, great draw, different teams, different thoughts around it all, but really exciting for us. Barry, what did you think when you had the Celtic draw? When I seen it, I thought there's a few winnable ties in there. No doubt about it. And I've no been disrespectful listening to that in the Champions League for that reason, these teams, because they're good teams. But when you look at it, I mean Club Rouge, Bratislava, Dynamo Youngboys, I think winnable games, winnable games, but the one that sticks out is Aston Villa. And Villa Park, I don't know, you've been there, mate. Rowan stadium, played in it, played in it a few times. Always really enjoyed it. Rowan atmosphere. So yeah, but I'm sure Celtic are looking at it and thinking, "We've got a chance here to get in our right few points on, but it's a bigger stadium than many people realise in Scotland. But I've never been, I've never been, it's a stadium that I would advise to go in and visit." Let's hear from Brendan Olsius in Andros, but look quite, what you're all going to do, he's like, "Ah, indeed, yeah, the Blues, he's a Blue." Right, okay, Rangers are a lone deal. It's happening, it looks as though, as in fact, I'll tell you now, Rangers have agreed a season-long loan for the Dutch defender, Nereshou, Kasan Huizhou. So 22-year-old Barry, big defender, so... Yeah, but it's an area where I thought they had to strengthen, obviously, where Ben Davis is going to burn me home, barreling, picked up and injured at a weekend. I don't know if he's going to be available, Paul, for Sunday's game, but it was certainly an area that I thought Rangers had to strengthen and still waiting, hopeful that there's another couple going to be coming through the door, because I do believe they need another central midfielder and another forward, if possible, but that obviously hinges on, probably the toy can't mill situation and he's doing a medical at Blackburn, but there's still no sign that that's over the line yet. Scott Wright is, he's gone to Birmingham City, market's gone for quite a time, Rangers going to the wire. We still don't know who's going to become, obviously, the final defender we mentioned there looks to be on. Yep, we've got to an enthrone, and Barry's right, ideally, you want to get more in. I think Philippe Clemon, not doing a press conference today, just totally focusing on helping the recruitment department go on with the business. In hand, Scott Wright out for 300 grand, he's been on the periphery of a move for over a year now, so it's finally happens, a bit of money in the door, toward Cantwell, a bit of money coming in off the wage bill, could be one or two others, but they do need to try and get bodies in. We know financially it's very, very challenging for Rangers to snout, so they may wait and see what they've got, Paul, and what they can do, because as much as we're saying, the European draw is great, it's sexy. Big, big game in Sunday, ultimately, you're betting, but honestly, going on the title, and as we all know, and this building, if you've got a chance of one in the title, you need to go and beat Celtic. I think it's a massive fast to do that in Sunday, but certainly going to try and avoid the Celtic part in Sunday. This is the first we haven't mentioned the game yet, because there's so much still in the gold transfer deadline day, Europa League as well, Annie Ingalls looks to be on his way, we're waiting for the final confirmation, we know 11 million pounds going to Celtic, Austin Trustee as well, around £6 million, Sheffield United, Brendan Rogers was asked about them this afternoon. Well, we're in a really good place in terms of that, and we hope by the close of the market. This evening, we'll have a number signed, sealed in, and making our squad stronger, so yeah, so I think that's the always the goal that we entered into this window. I've said that we want to make it make the team as well stronger, and hopefully we can close the market, and that is the case. Mark, big money, biggest transfer ever. Yeah, credit to Celtic. Paul, they have spent big, big difference to this time last year, when it was two and three million pound players, a couple of four million thrown in there, so they've now got in around about £8 million for Adamida, they've gone 11 for Ingalls, as you say, potentially six. Between five and six, isn't it? From Trustee, I mean, a left-sided defender, excuse me, was out of paramount importance with the boy Valin and Lorne from Barcelona, but I think Celtic are still one or two ladies, well, Paul, but you look at it, they've also brought in three million quid for Mikey Johnson today, I mean, incredible. I mean, what an incredible transfer fee. Great business, isn't it? It's brilliant business to do that, so credit to the club for that credit to Mikey Johnson, because he got himself that move, he's Lorne, moved to West Brom last season, two million quid for Busun La Waal and a couple of other bits and bobs obviously matter really. So Celtic, don't forget Paul, have brought in £32, £33 million in fees this summer, and they've spent what potentially, 17, 25, they've spent about £28 million. So once again, they're in the black, in terms of your net spend, they're in the black, so that's where maybe, you know, Brendan Rogers may be likely to get in one or two over the line and a watter possibly leaving. And you know, I think that could be a bad move for Celtic to let a watter go, I don't think they should be, because he's got plenty to offer, he's a top player and he's got plenty to offer, because what you're doing is you're leaving yourself with two, I would say, really experienced guys in McGregor and Hattati, apart from that, get Bernardo, not highly experienced, the young fella coming in, big transfer fee, but not highly experienced. So I think a watter, he knows the score here. You can trust him, yeah, absolutely, yeah. Navroski could be on his way as well. For Rangers, Barry, we mentioned a moment ago, so we're waiting to hear about Todd Cantwell, there's been a strange one there, the lone player coming in, when you hear the difference in the money, you know, you're going to be at the game on Sunday and we're going to talk about that, I know things can go out of the window, but the difference between the two is, as a Rangers legend, you must think, how did this happen? Yeah, it's just where the club is, at this moment in time, Paul, and they need to obviously register the wage bill and it's been clear that there's been a number of players over the last month or so, leaving the club. Yeah, but I'm sure in time, though, with the new chairman and placing the board to try everything possible to try and give the manager the tools to go in and challenge Celtic, but the money, obviously, that Celtic has been them, but that made a good point, the money that they're bringing in as well. You know what I mean, that's the model that Celtic have got, that's what Rangers need to start producing over the next year or so. Oh, eight, oh, eight, seventeen, seventeen, seven hundred, 10x on the lane, a Rangers fan. Good evening, Derek. Good evening, Paul. Good evening, Paul. Good evening, Daniel. About it. About it. How did we just came to this, that, like, tried Cadwell for £600,000, evenly at Scott rate for £300,000, and noticed this bet, but making your engine is not as good as Cadwell and Celtic is getting that amount of money or offers for the players. We spoke about it all first. I was surprised, I mean, just before we come on out, I was saying about Cadwell Derek, I think half a million quid. I think it's a steal. I do, look, he's got his critics up here, but I did think sorry should I say that Rangers would have got more through the dwarf for Cadwell, because I have say, it's in the past. I do like him. I think playing with the right people around the bottom, I think he could have obviously made a difference, but listen towards me the decision that he doesn't want to be at Rangers. He's obviously one of the higher earners, and that's obviously one of the things that Rangers are the club are trying to do. The now is bringing down their wage budget, but I do agree with you Derek, I think £500,000 is a snip. I think it is a snip for Tod Cantwell. I thought Rangers paid a fee. I don't know if you've seen it there, I've seen Michael Bill doing an interview with Someday. I can't remember who it was exactly. He says that he came in and a free transfer. I thought Rangers had paid a, I think a million a half or two million pounds for Tod Cantwell, so I was surprised at the gotten on a free transfer, but it still has what I think two years left on his, on his daily at Rangers. I thought they could have got a bit more from Derek. I read that about what Michael Bill's doing, but I'm very, very surprised that the manager didn't try and convince him to stay. Unless they've got something on their sleeve, I think of a big Mr Rangers. I do think Derek, see in terms of Tod Cantwell, I do know twice that he did go to the manager and say that he wanted to have seen his career elsewhere knowing Glasgow. So at the end of the day, if a player comes and says that, then you're better, obviously, letting them go somewhere else, because you only want players that are going to be here and want to be here. Tod obviously seen his future elsewhere, which disappointed me as well. I know he has his critics. I know you like him, Derek. I think he could have done a job at Rangers, but listen, it wasn't it to be. Mark, what would you say on it? It's a good point, isn't it? There's three million from Mikey Johnson and five, six hundred thousand for Tod Cantwell. Yeah. Well, I mean, I think I as Mark, it's all about what clubs are willing to pay to get your assets, your talent, your players, but what it highlights to me is a couple of things that clubs do their homework. And it's not just about your talent. It's about the full package. And Tod Cantwell is just as well known for his time up here as what he was doing in social media, causing these club problems. We saw me social media stuff as well. So to me, I think it'll be a good riddance for Rangers. Absolute good riddance. It was short. Tell me a number of games that he's played, directed to it again by the scruff and the neck and really inspired Rangers to victory in games where it really mattered. I can't really think of any to be perfectly honest. Another thing about it is when it is so public that any of the players wants to leave and be the club has banished them to be involved with the deserves of the youth or whatever, then right away, you're bargaining positioning the market takes a dive. Yeah, definitely. I think black one, I've seen that. They've seen an opening where they can maybe get somebody who they probably think an influence their team. And you can get them for a snip. And I do think in today's market, certainly that applies to the championship 500 grand. It has got a bullet to it, can it help for you? There's no doubt about that. I think for 500 grand, I think it's a decent bit of business for black one. For black one or other clubs, getting them for 500 grand because man is the whole thing. I can get the best out of this guy. First I do, if I manage it, by sitting down saying, "Dicks are social media. I ain't getting paid." Seriously, I would be. But at 500 grand, all day long, I would take Todd Cantwell at that price down the road. And also he didn't want to be made that clear. And then Rangers as a club, I've got to make that decision. And I think they make the right decision where you have to move on. Derek, you need a good run in the title race. You're up a league or investment are all three because there's such a difference now between the two big Rangers and Celtic financial. I think for the major, it could be in trouble from Sunday evening and especially because the next year, the next day, the next few weeks, you could have a game. And the next month, the five weeks, after you've made eight to nine points behind the Aberdeen and third place, I think should be big. But can I also see Paul as well? Sadly, I've sought my shop and lot call and I'd really like to thank everybody for their support and lot of call and I'll be talking about Bill so very, very soon. I'll put you straight on to Michelle and the advertising department here because they are under, isn't he? Yeah, he's a good businessman. If you just lay together and get me a quick flippin' place, he's dead. I just can't flippin' move on. Cheers Derek. What's your prediction then? I know you don't like this, but who would? What do you think? Sunday? Two by Greenville. See, I didn't know this stuff. I've always seen that. Don't you be drinking and driving? No, but I need bottles. I bought all the insurance, and I can't even love these yet, so... Oh, for goodness' sake. All right, Derek, thank you so much. Thanks for that call. Oh, 80817-17-700. So much in the gold transfer deadline day. Let's get a bit more from Brendan Rogers about the transfers. Nothing confirmed this afternoon, but he spoke about Engels, spoke about Trusty, and he said there will be deals done by what 11 tonight. He's a bit more from that. As I said before, there's been a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes and of course, things sometimes don't happen until later on, either through availability or a club, not wanting to sell a player, but there's been a lot of movement in the last four or five days and thankfully, and for me, as I said, the club have been great in terms of trying to push these deals through. Yeah, but I think quality always takes a little bit of time. But yeah, I think we wanted to improve. I think that was the key. As I said, I don't want to take away. The guys have been here, been brilliant for me in this opening season, but we want to continue to progress, and that's absolutely key for us. I think the players that we've identified, I think the players that we've brought until this point were really, really supplemented squad, and have been great for us, and we can add a number before the end of the evening. Yeah, we'll be in a really, really good place. Alex Feit in as well, Mark, as we well know, we hear from him shortly. So the board, you feel they're backing him, and there's going to be more, do you think, in the next few hours, if we take angles and trusty has done? Well, if you really want a strength in Paul, if you really see this, I'm not saying safety, I'm not serious, but yeah, you should be strength in, because like we've said, you know, they're in the black in terms of movement, no, it's roughly a bit 30 spent and a bit 32 brought in, so when you consider that there's 70, 80 million in the bank, there'll be about to go and ask the supporters for the guts of 200 quits for a Champions League ticket, which will bring in an excess of £10 million alone, and Champions League ticket money from supporters. And if you're Brendan Rogers, I think you're in Chelsea, I want to be a bit more. Now, they might need to wait until January, and good business can be done in January, Paul. I've always said, and you know that, that people that say, 'Oh, January's a difficult window, I don't get in for that, job done, and be good at your job and get business done in January, post the COVID, a couple of journeys ago'. So it might need to be a two-part thing for them, but I would have thought Celtic would have come out of this window, and I know they're still five years to go, stronger than what they are. I think if you're Brendan Rogers and if you're a Celtic supporter, I think it's been a good window, but I think it should have been better. winger was mentioned, but he did say that there could be another winger, winger coming into the club, Celtic. I don't think they've done enough business, you know. No, but I'd listen to your head, Brendan, I just speak there, Paul, and I say this, no, he definitely going to be one or two more. There's no doubt about it. The boy that they're looking at, trusty, careful, genetic. I've seen him at a few times, a good player, a good utility defender, strong, powerful, American international, and there could be another one or two on top of that as well. Oh, eight, oh, eight, seventeen, seventeen, seven hundred, Mark. I think one thing not to forget, because I think it was possible the first sign in, it could be the most important sign they make this summer was getting cash plus Michael, brilliant bit of business. We'll talk about that next. This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go, let's go. Transfer deadline day, Mark Quiddie. Very fair, good to myself. Hey, for what? That's the best I've seen you in a long time. Is that right? Yeah, we can go too bad. Thank you. Yeah. Was that the same as you were doing that video? I'll have you know what I was doing. And one of them said, "Oh, did you get the big question?" You know, but it's not. Yeah, sport has seen the long time ago. Wasn't it, do you go a little bit? Oh, but I do get excited, there was Archie, of course, sweat on the way. Yeah, he's amazing. Now, how are we going to get back into transfer deadline day? We've got to go to Gary in a second or two. Some of the other stories going on just now. Look, McCown. Is he on the way to Silti? Do you need him? Could he be there? And a little Cameron? Could he be on the way to Rangers, Barry? Well, two of the players you mentioned are right highly, Paul. I've seen enough of a Dundee last season, and the two of them stood out like sore thumbs. A lot was more said about look, McCown. No doubt about that, but little Cameron and always impressed me as well. So, I'm sure Dundee will be desperate to keep there too, because they're a huge part of that Dundee team. But listen, money talks and it'll be interesting. And the next what? Five and a half hours to see of anything materialized is from day two, but I can see why there's interest in both players, Paul, as I said, I rate both players highly. And it's always good to see players at other clubs in the Premier League, because normally you're talking about players for different countries or whatever. It's good that these young players are getting a bit of stress because they deserve it because they're good young players. And I honestly do believe that they can play. In no disrespect to Dundee, I think both players could go up a level. Mark, you wouldn't disagree? Yeah, I mean, look, McCown has been absolutely terrific for Dundee, who's been a talisman, and he's a direct good start to the season. I just wondered if I saw he already lined up with Celtic, Paul, but he wanted to get the bigger names over the line first and outside, and then pregnant, we'll disrespect him a bit. Maybe that's the plan, and for Kyle Cameron's gotten on the 21 player, a really good young player, a big promise, a big potential, and if he gets a move to Rangers, then, you know, good or no, he would deserve it. You just feel you better something for Dundee, if they lose both players, can send them a 20-door fees, chat your bill. But it's bad he says, money talks, it's a business, and that's what Dundee have got to do. Bring them in, get them, you know, get them going and move them on for money. So, if Dundee potentially, at the moment, with those two moves, over a million pounds in transfer fees, which is great business for them. Yeah, because I think, over the last number of years, we've missed out in some real good talent, you know, out of country. Listen, it's great to see them go to different countries and go into top players, or grow into top players, should I say, but you also like to see them stay in the country. Is he what you want the better players staying in the league? But they too no doubt every time I watched Dundee last season, really stand out. Yeah, they really stood out, and I'm no surprise that there's clubs that are sniffing about both of them. Go radio, we've got eyes in the ears everywhere, we're watching Emerson Drive just to see, can you see in the camera there, Barry? No, is it? Kenny Dale Street, we've got everyone. In fact, Gary in the Gobbles, Gary, can you see it from where you are? Good evening, any update? Yeah, even in Paul, he's trying to film a funder there, wasn't it, can you story there? No, and you go. So, what do you feel about the Dundee player? Yeah, he's a player, I really like. Normally I'm kind of quite opposed to kind of taking these talented players from clubs like Dundee, Habs and Mother and Kinda, because you want to see them kind of, you know, go on in a career first in kind of making influence. I feel that sometimes when you go to Celtic, I mean, just don't really get the chance sometimes that they would have got at the club's kind of thing. Yeah, sometimes that happens. So, do you think that might happen tonight? Sounds as though without Mark saying, and that's probably quite good, and you had Brendan Rogers, you know, he talked about angles and trusty as though it's virtually done. He didn't say it was, but he said there could be more. What else are you expecting in the other business? Are you looking for more? Well, the one name that I've heard is from my star, he's a 24-year-old Andy Oven, and so he was on loan at a clogging flop last year in Austria. It's 10 goals and four assists, and third against, that's another boy that's able to take a look in at, and they'll try to get a loan deal done, so I don't think Westam are keen on a loan deal. I think they're trying to kind of get them off our books, so not to assured about him, but yeah, definitely, if we can get at least look Macau and I'd be quite happy with the business that they've done. Mark, it's going to be quite a few hours coming up, but the changes are just looking at the boards of players coming in at Arrivals at Celtic Park. Obviously, lost Matt O'Reilly and everyone knew it would happen. The tackle, Barry and I spoke about it the other night. What did you think about it? You lasted six or seven minutes? Yeah, it was a good tackle, you felt from, and he's having to go and get a get surgery so far so you feel for Matt O'Reilly, and you also feel for Brighton, you have just spent that ceremony on a first-team player, and you lose him the first 10 minutes he's debuting, pure refereeing, as well, not get a card. For that, the boy Andy Oven that Gary mentions his name has been banded about with several clubs around Europe, Paul and Thor, but I'm just wanting to see you if something can be done, but yeah, I think, as ever, for Celtic and Reign, just Paul wins and out, so it'll go right up to 11 o'clock, but it'll go right to the button tonight of a feeling that's what's going to happen. Well, here from Brendan Rogers, I'm going to ask you what you think for Sunday. Here's what the manager was saying about the game, 12.30 Sunday? Yeah, I think I always expect the challenge, I think that people can sometimes assume that when you're doing well and anything's going great, that you just turn up and win, and that's a very dangerous way to think, and that's why at Celtic we never ever do that. We were in a really, really good place as a team, from a football perspective, the level that we're playing at with them is how the ball is really pleasing, but we come into these games, and these are different games, these are emotional games, but what we've always and how we've always tried to handle these is is to focus on our performance, and so the players we've prepared really well all this week, and I think Rangers will come in, and like I said, they'll be a tough game. Gary, what do you feel as a Celtic fan? What do you think is going to happen? I mean, I think the way we've started this season has been excellent, you know, in like out the traps every single week, and if we can start with that again Sunday, then you know, potentially, even on an illegal day, it could be a very long afternoon for Rangers, but you never can quite tell, and these games always think that I think the fact that there's no Rangers fans in their race section in Sunday, it should play a favorable part for us, but you know, you can never can tell, as I say, I do think we will start well like we have done, and yeah, as I said, I've went with two changes from last week, and I've put Kiel going in Koon, and from the start. All right, rather than Forrest, in the case of Nicholas Koon? Yeah, yeah, I just think Forrest has been playing a lot of football from the starting season, and obviously if Koon's fell off that, I think he's got a play, so we start with Kiel going over and paid nine million for either. I just think maybe he does maybe kind of lacking celery, but I'm actually missing that fitness kind of thing, and I think you definitely definitely come off the bench, but I do think we're winning the game. But you see the thing about no fans there, or a tiny number of fans, does it really affect you once you're on the pitch? Because I remember Rangers beating celery, was it 2-1, the game at the end of 2019, not one before COVID, they had a tiny band, six 700 fans, but you know, as a player, does it make that much difference? In an ideal situation, you love your six or 7,000, your own fans there, Paul, but listen, we know what's happened a couple of weeks ago, it wasn't going to happen, so I wouldn't use it as an excuse, Paul. Ideally, as I said, you would like it there, but it looks to me if it's never going to hurt many times soon, which is disappointing, but yeah, no, once you're going that part, Paul, your main focus is winning a game of football. Mark, the BBC are saying that there is a bid in for Luke McCown from Celtic, Dundee haven't replied just yet, that's the latest. Yeah, that'll get over the line, and I suppose that could well be the second midfielder that Brendan Rodgers was talking about, so if you take angles on McCown, that's the dude that he spoke about in place of, or really, that said, they're potentially a bit of interest in a watter, and they wait, they lose a watter, but no, it's interesting, Paul, and a couple of people have just texted me, they're also listening to the show to see, you know, don't, you know what, I'm a wee bit low, the numbers, my name, I forgot a bit, oh, so it's 35, 36 million have brought in, and some of this old, oh, it's a Belgian football, but don't forget that they got 10 million in February for a bada. Of course, yeah, so, and then this time last year, well, 50 years, if you take the calendar year, so far in 2024, that's 45 million pounds brought in, 30 spent. That's a different pressure there, doesn't it, you know, a range of suspending, very little, and I know in the old firm gave me anything can happen, but it's quite a disparity. Gary, before you go, what's your score line, Derek Rangers fan, he said two, one Rangers? I'll go for three now, Celtic. Three now, Celtic, I'm looking at bada, he's inscrutable at the moment. He's not, I'm just still, I'm a baller, what? I'm actually just going to say to Barry, I mean, in terms of, obviously, he's a player in that kind of environment, you won't have played, we know all the fans, obviously, but do you think Rangers walk him out of the traps and try and hit Celtic from the get-go? Do you think they'll try and sit in and try and soak up some of the pressure? I think they'll do what you're saying, I think they'll sit back and try and hit an accountant attack. I think if you go and you try and press Celtic high up the pitch, I think you could win for a long afternoon, but I said, and I said when's the little bit interesting to see what we Rangers approach at Gary, and what personally he'll go with, what formation, what midfield, that's the big talking point. I know that middle three I would go away against Celtic three, and there's one guy you've got to stop having any time in a ball, and you know how I'm going to mention that's Calamigre, he starts off, virtually. Most of the Celtic's moves, so they need to put some down to him and make sure he doesn't have any influence on the game whatsoever. You're going to be there, buddy. You're feeling resolute going into it? You're feeling... I'm feeling, but I normally do leading up to an old film game, Paul. Make sure their emotions nervous, excited, so I'll tell you when I'm there, I'll give you a message and let you know how I'm feeling. Chris Wilder said earlier today at Sheffield United that trustee was having a medical, and he hasn't said it's definitely happening. He's a good player. He's a good player. Yeah, I've seen him a few times. Andy Walker spoke a bit about his name as well, come through the academy, my arsenal, so you know he's a player. Obviously, Sheffield Wednesday brought a man for a decent fee, as I said, and he's an international American international, and they've got a good team, USA. Yeah, natural left-sided boy as we're hunting, who brings that balance. Yeah, and he can play full-back or centre-back, and that's good to have, is when you bring a defender and you can play a couple of positions. If we had more time, Gary, we would speak about your beloved Newcastle, but we're not that ballad. Yeah, we don't have time. I see this talk's going on just now. I see it with that Anthony Olinger, but you didn't get the Crystal Palace skipper, so that didn't happen. Yeah, overpriced, you reckon? All right, Gary, listen, thanks so much. Shall we speak to you soon, O8, O8 17, 700 on transfer deadline day, so just looking to see those any further updates. We're going to hear from Graham Stenas as well, who was at their William Hill event yesterday, along with Martin and Neil. So we had to bet from them last night, but there's a bit more Rangers fans. We don't have any audio today with your manager, because it's going to be tomorrow, and maybe in some ways that makes sense, because by then, I mean, it's going to be late business tonight for Rangers. Yeah, it certainly looks that way. You mentioned they've just brought the centre back into fire, and I would hope Paul, there would be another couple of players at least. Kaz and Virgil on the way. More names, new names this time of the year. This is the Go Radio football show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Barry Ferguson enjoying the sunshine here in Glasgow and the west today. It was great to see it again, wasn't it? Yeah, listen, it makes you happier. Doesn't know what you wake up. There's no rain. There's a bit of sun coming through the clouds and managed to have a few golf balls today, which was good. How did you play? I was okay and tell my mates that I started speaking about the game in Sunday until 14th and then my head went. I don't know why you're speaking about the game. Anyway, such a shame last night wasn't it for Comeannock? They scored. My watchkins put them one up quite early as well. Barry, I was just like, no one is in that go coming through. I'm like, that one. This could be one here. But unfortunately it wasn't it to be. Listen, you've got to remember Copenhagen. They are a decent outfit. There's no doubt about it. But listen, Comeannock, shouldn't be proud about what they've done. And now we'll just focus on the league. For sure, Derek was speaking about it afterwards. Lewis Mill was unlucky there. They had a great crowd last night. Harts will speak about them as well, but they were poor and they went out almost with a whimper last night, didn't they? Yeah, it was a really underwhelming performance from Harts. They never really get going. They never really got anything there to get the tin cast will crowd up. You think that was Harts first game in Europe this season or first home game as well? It was just very, very flat. It's been a flat season. And yet I think they would all agree having watched them in the opening game against Rangers, they made their real game of it. Could have had the three points, but certainly come away thinking if anybody's certainly to go through the tin cast, well, you're going to have to be brilliant to beat Harts. I thought Stephen Naismith recruited. Well, it's just been very, very flat so far. And Stephen Naismith, well, let's start getting a couple of wins now. That's for sure. Going back in the lines now, first of all here from Brendan Rodgers today, he was asked about Cameron Carter-Vickers, who wasn't seen at training. No, just give me recovery. Sometimes we do that in our sessions where if the players are overloaded and we measure and monitor that, we can take one or to give them a sort of recovery day. Haven't worked hard all week. So yeah, so he's fine. That's good news for you, Dave, on the line from up north. Hi, Dave, good evening. Hi, Joel, how are you doing today? How are you? How are you, darling? How are you doing? How are you? How are you doing? How are you doing? How are you doing? How are you doing? How are you doing? How are you? How are you doing? Good, Dave. What are you thinking there? So Cameron Carter-Vickers was a... Some people worry today, but he says no problems whatsoever. He's so important for you. Yeah, absolutely. And hopefully nobody's worked over. It's an actual fight. We're not going to use our mind at the high end, but, you know, I do hope that's genuine. You'll just need to write your ask because he has very important to us. But if you're not going to deal, will you come to it? Yeah, I saw what you're thinking about the transfer, you know, Engels is on his way. 11 million pounds, your biggest ever signing. In fact, just a million behind the Tori Andry Flow, which was Scotland's biggest ever when he signed for Rangers. Trustee, it looks to be deal done, the medical as well. Look, my town could well be on the way. You've got Alex Valle already. And this is what he's saying about coming to Celtic. Yeah, of course, of course. To be honest, I've heard a lot about Celtic Park. It's crowd and their fans. There's a lot of really good environment here, and I'm just looking forward to leave it in real life. Well, it's Celtic for a club. I don't know what I can say. It's an historic club that plays a really good football. So I think it's an attractive opportunity for me. Mark, do you think he'll be in the squad for Sunday on the bench, maybe? Yeah, I certainly would expect him to start, Paul. Yeah, possibly on the bench. Depends who's frickin' available. I don't think there's any need for Brendan Rodgers to make wholesale changes to the, you know, 18, 19, but I've got so many questions. I mean, you know, but certainly listening to the lad there, they spoke very well. His English, he's absolutely fine. That's always a border from your commander, it's not that extra pressure in terms of trying to learn a language. And for Celtic, they've been trying for about three windows, Paul. You get a lift back. You know, you get something decent to have a go at Greg Taylor, you know, it'll take something special to his Greg Taylor from the team, but at least Celtic have got somebody over the line. So it remains to be seen what kind of caliber, because he's not had a lot of top level experience of a frosting football. Dave, can I ask you, how do you feel about Arne Engels coming in, 11 million? Yeah, I mean, I don't know what about him, but you know, he did all YouTube and all that. Well, he's been there. Yeah, I think it's a good deal. I think there's plenty selling money out of his way. That's the model. Mark, is this one that in a year or two, what do you think the story is going to be? I mean, Paul accounts, Paul, he's got a fantastic reputation in Belgium and Celtic signing from Augsburg and jamming, what a bit of business for them, you know, bought for a hundred grand a year or so ago, and they've sold them for 11 million. With a Ceylon clause. So, you know, you look at the evidence for Celtic to spend that kind of money, as much as a cash right, you're still careful and you do your homework. They must think this boy is pretty special. And certainly in Belgium, they do, Paul, you know, I think he's going to be a top international player, you know, he's in that kind of real role, he's really creative and can also dig in, as well, a good all-rounder in the middle of the part. And I would imagine he would be one while Celtic of buying, thinking, yeah, he's one that we can move on. What's a bench back now, Matt Rayleigh money, that's a bench back. He used to be Van Dyke money and when Yammer money, you know, 12, 14 now, they're at the Matt Rayleigh money, and they clearly think that two or three good years from the boy angles. And what he's got to do, Paul, he's got to go and make his Matt in Europe, that's as well, where you go and do it at a national level. So, yeah, he's probably one couple of years down the line, selling on for big money. Barry, the midfield where you did so much damage over the years. I'm like David, I had a wee snip on YouTube and had a look at him and read up on him and Matt's just pointed out a number of things. They rate him very highly in Belgium, done well in Germany, got on for a snip, I mean 100k, and then he's selling for 11 million, 12 months later. But it looks to me if he's got huge potential. And I don't think so, it would spend that kind of money, if they didn't think it could maybe double that in a year or 18 months. Dave, for Sunday, can we ask you, what do you think sort of happened? So, Gary thought it was going to be 3-0 Celtic, Derek went 2-1 Rangers, what do you think? Paul, I'm old enough to know this, and I shouldn't get excited, but I just cannot see Celtic. Well, I really can't, and I can, if he had the ground running early on, I can see his governor, Mario Dern. But, you know, 18 games, one defeat for Brendan Rodgers, one in 13, for Celtic over the last few games. What average you see as a ranger, we've got one sometime, you know? But, yeah, I'm very rarely in this country, and all of them gamers, over some of the back of my mind, which told me that I sold now, but I can't even see his losers. I can't even drop points, to be honest. And your score line would be... 3-0, Sally. Okay, Dave, thank you for calling, Barry. Listen, that's 2 Celtic fans 3, it doesn't matter, and Derek 2-1 matches. They've got the right team, they've started the season really strongly. I've carried it on for pre-season, and I can see why they're over-confident, but, listen, would you stay waiting to see it? See you right there, that is out, is it what? Quarter-pasta, half-pasta. Here's Grimsey, we'll be on air, of course. John Hartson will be here, where you are, Mark, and Craig Moore. Your old teammate will be where you are, Barry. You're not with us. On Sunday you're going to be at the game, we'll be on from 12th straight after the business show, Hunter and Hockey, are back on Sunday 11th. That's pretty good, as you arrive. It's the two of them, back together after the summer. It's been so much in the go, as we know, so it's a special. Very good. Grimsey, he was a bit special, wasn't he? Yeah, he was not a bad player, and not a bad football manager. Very good, Pundit. Pundit? Pundit? Yeah, he's Punditry. So it's funny. It's pretty good, yeah. Transferred a deadline, Dave Paul, just before you play there. Yeah. As soon as he took it, because he fits it, I was thinking just coming in the car, so, see Barry, and I'm thinking it was in 2000. Yeah. Three. Deadline date, I mean, Blackbum, you're 21 years ago when you made your move. Is that right? Yeah, right. Then we went to the wire and it was down with Barry for the Sunday meal. We got the story, and it was touch and go for it. I wasn't. I was on and off three times. What was the issue? I was at different things. Barry won't do any grand a week. Blackbum only got a 78. Yeah, it was a bonus that was off two or three times. Must be a strange day for you. It must be hard. Yeah, yeah, it was a difficult one of them, but honestly, because I didn't want to leave Paul, I've been honest with you, but, like, things happen, football, and I made the move. And I knew pretty early, listen, I loved my time at Blackbum, played on this game sooner, so it was a fantastic manager, met loads of good people, but I just wasn't right. Yeah. I just didn't sit right with me, but thankfully I got the opportunity to come back two years later. What does your old team need to win? That's what the manager was asked. The former Rangers manager was asked at the William Hill event. I think, you know, Celtic will come after you. Celtic will start on fire, especially at Parkhead. You've got to, you know, you've got to make sure you start right. That's everyone taking part in the defensive duties, but still carry a threat. You know, you can't go there and think you're going to park the bus for 90 minutes. That just would not work. So you have to come up with a system of giving nothing away early on. Hopefully not getting anyone booked early on because that puts those players under pressure. Keep a clean shoot for as long as you can, carry a threat and then ultimately open out and create something and score goals. That's describing any big game of football, not just a game of Parkhead. Mark, logic in that? Yeah, I mean, as Paul, you know, just keep it tight. I agree with you as soon as I think that Celtic will come out like a whirlwind. On Sunday, really on the front foot, take the game of Rangers. The home support, etc, etc. And it's all about Rangers surviving that first 15 minutes, Paul. Jack Butler will need to be bang on it. And Sunday then finding a way to get up close to vessels and giving him as much support as possible in that final third. And when you have the ball doing something positive, won't it? Because what you don't want, what, you know, proper isn't going to want. John Sutter, and they're going to want it as a ball. Just getting fired back at them constantly. So when they get the ball, not the position half, get a hold of it. But that's going to be, as I said, then done. Remember, the bot line is Paul. Rangers haven't beaten Celtic for three years. And again, that matters. Three years ago, Steven Jenner's state manager post to goal goals. First game of Celtic, first old firm game of Celtic manager. Rangers won it at Ibrooks, won Nilla, I believe. And I know Michael Beal's team beat Celtic, but it was a dead drop in terms of nothing at stake for Celtic. It's a hell of a start. And it's not impressive for waiting for for Leklamorne. He's not beat Celtic yet in four attempts. So you need to change the tide. You need to find a way to go and try and do it. That said, if Rangers were to get a point on Sunday, I think that would be a fantastic result for Rangers. Look, the bot line is, there's no going to be any surprises. That's the way I've been looking at getting into this game, if I was going to Celtic part. You know how Celtic are going to start? They're going to come flying out the traps and go for you. You know where they're going to play? I don't think they're going to change. I virtually tell you 10 out of 11 players that are going to start? For Celtic. Yeah. So you need to stand up and be tall. You need to make sure that it's just mentioned there. That first 10-15 minutes is key for Rangers. They can't get suffocated. Ride the storm. Yeah. And Matthew, you can't go with a plan, you say, right? I'm just sitting behind the ball for 90 minutes. Because then it's just wave after wave after wave attack. When Rangers do get the opportunity break, they need to break at pace. They need to go there believing that they're going to come away with something. Where's the pace coming from? The way there is. The two, I don't think there's going to be any changes in the way there is. I think it'll still go with you in the end. I'm going to talk more about that because the news is here. Then we're back. More transfer news and also the countdown on to Celtic against Rangers. This is the Go Radio football show. Listen live weeknights from five on Go. Let's go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Our two of the program where we had in the first start, Brendan Rogers, speak about why he didn't say for sure, but angles and trusty on their way. So that's 17 million between them. For Rangers, we told you in the last hour, there's a lone deal on for the Dutch defender from Finehood that I show Cassin Wageau. Ben Kazza is baddie. We're saying we might call Ben. Kazza, that's his new name. It's the time where you get used to all the Indian names coming into Scottish football and English football as well. What else just now? Luke McCown, we're watching him. Mark? I've just not gone away. Paul had still determined to get me to understand why. Bring that extra bit of quality in the middle. Apart from them, they've had a 750 bit note back. I think that you probably find Luke McCown. I think he'll end up at Celtic for about a million quid, Paul. Sean is on the line. Celtic fan, good evening. Sean, how are you doing? Good evening. Yeah. Alright, Sean, what's on your mind? So far, if it knows the first starting 10 out of 11 Celtic players, but does you know the first 10 out of 11 Rangers players going to start on Sunday? There we are. That murder mystery is like this. Is that a shot? Yeah, good question. Good question. Yeah. Give it a good go. Do you want that? Oh, then give it. Botland, Tavernier, Sutter, Proport, and Yefte. The only one I'm not sure about is Proport because I don't know if he's going to be matched for it in Balingan, obviously. Got a neck injury at the weekend, so Yefte left back. It's like a Middo 3 for me, it's Sterling, Baron, and Dio Monde in the front 3, a chain, eight, Dersas, and Matondo. Mark, what do you make of that line up? Yeah, and what do you think, Sean? To be honest, our team will not beat Celtic on Sunday. Barry, what's the missing? The Celtic player you're not sure about, the position you're not sure? Just now, right side, I think you could, Nate. I think he all goes. I certainly started against Rangers. I don't care what anybody says, if he's come through, I feel weak, he's training. He plays, the only one I'm not sure, and they start at 11, sorry for Celtic. It would be in the right side, whether it's Cun or James Forest. What would you do if you were the Celtic manager? I'd rather play. No, if you were the Celtic manager, who would you? Or James Forest? Yeah. Yeah. Mark. I think he'll step before this, you know, he's starting at 11 last week, Paul. I think that the manager's spending Rogers will go with the same. 11, obviously, they're back four. Pick themselves. They're all fit. Mitchell 3, you're looking at Bernardo's slot, and then, I mean, we know that, and the angles has set his complete of these medical polls, so that's it. It's 99% over the line. He'll arrive in Glasgow tonight. I don't think he throws him in. But does he? I don't know. You know, maybe a temptation, one training session, but I wouldn't think so. I'd be very surprised. I think he would stick with Bernardo. He certainly angles on the bench, for sure. It's like a lot to play as well. Cun. Yeah, as well. You can come on. The property of Jeff Day, if he plays it left back, which we expect to do, it's his old fund debut, a Celtic part. He's a young boy. Jeff Day, let's not forget. He's a kid. The experience of James Forest, so, yeah, I would agree with Barry. I would go to that team. And Barry's being just team, yeah. I just wanted to battle again. I think it's that I would have battle again. Then Proper? Yeah. 100%. Yeah. 100% worth it. And then up front, Cheerney, for sure. Desso's obviously. For sure. And only one, I just think he lets you down too often in big games, but alright to come off the bench. I don't know if he would do him. I'm a coslander someday. I'll be a bit different, other than metondo. Any word metondo? It's gone quite, hasn't it? Few days. Yeah, I've been alone, but I think it was for an orange get knocked back. Listen, I'm wearing metondo. It does it every now and then in games. But he looked at us as sharp as that. I know it was counting. It wasn't great that we can. But it's got a double elute sharp. And I just think if he's still going to be in the building, the way that James might go again, sell it as we'll sit back and try and hit on there. And on the flanks, we have to sell it, leave it wide open at times. So that's the only areas where I think Rangers can get through. Sean, what are you thinking about your Celtic lineup for Sunday? Oh, Rogers is going to go with the same team as a weekend back there. Definitely. He's not going to shove in angles right from the start. No. You've got to... I don't think... Rangers fans have to be sitting back like Madison. He's happy that you're a good bit sitting back when... So we've lost him there. I've lost him there on that one. I know, I know, Sean. You can even have the decent combo set. Oh, my God. So, Mark, just checking any change in the last years. I'll tell you what, we heard a bit from Gramston is here's a bit more. From Brendan Rogers in a moment or two. But yeah, he's talking about the Rangers players and what they need to do in this game. Anything can happen. Celtic, obviously, start with favourites. When you try to tax logic to football matches, sometimes you can always scratch in your head. Is it Parquet? No, these supporters. They are the champions at the moment. I witnessed two all form games last year, the Cup final. And a two-in-game at Parquet. And I think there's a great deal between the sides. Some hoping Rangers enjoy a good day. But obviously, something will start us favourites. Mark, do you agree? Was there not much between the two? Yeah, I mean, I was at the Scottish Cup final. Paul, and yeah, you know, I sort of thought, "Yep, the Rangers are going to go and take the lead tier." That was the go-chopped off with. I think it was a connect decision. Yeah, there was a spell in the game where in the second half, where Rangers were definitely on the ascendancy, controlled the game, and had Celtic on the back foot. And then Celtic, you know, had the gold, the two subs playing the part to Bernardo. But yeah, I think it was tight. And I've said before, Paul, I'll say again, last season. So they played five times, Celtic won four out of the five. But I think if you look back, there was a couple of decisions that I think probably went against Rangers, a spin of a coin. First-old firm game in the season that I broke, Rangers take the lead in it, it's chopped off through a van. I thought it was a very, very fortunate decision for that to be overturned for Celtic. So I think it's tight last season, but it's about now, Paul. And I look at both sides and also as well, which is so important these days, the strength that you have in the bench. And on paper, and I know it's no played in paper, but it's played in 30-odd old firm games. But Celtic, for me, should blow Rangers away on Sunday. And I know I don't think that will happen, but on paper, the strength that they have, the options that they have, and on their own stadium, they should win comfortably. See, it's you looking at the last three or four games. I keep coming back to it. They've never nullified Calla McGregor. He said, "Too much space in the games." And I get hammered last year for saying, "Listen, you need to get close to him. I'm not saying you go to your book Calla McGregor, but you've got to be aggressive against him." Because he is the guy who makes Celtic tick, and also I've got other players that can hurt you. There's no doubt in my mind about that, but he is the guy that starts the vast majority of the Celtic moves. Now, looking at the previous games, it's too much room. He said, "Too easy for me." And that's why I think they'll need to go where Madfield weigh a bit of aggression. And also, I mean, if I look at the three that I've picked, Stell and Baden and Dale Mande, they can get about the pitch. They've got good energy. And I think that's going to be key at the weekend, because as I said to you, Calla McGregor said, "Too much control in the games." And when you give very good players that much space in room, they're going to do one thing and that's hardly in control of the game. Here's Brendan Rogers, asked today about Celtic's pressing game, which has been so successful this season. More pressing. It's, I always say that passing the ball and pressing are like twins. Yeah, when you press the game well, you'll pass the game well. And probably it was probably the first six months of last season where we weren't doing either so well with enough consistency. That started to pick up in the second part of the season and then really that last three months of the season then tagged onto our pre-season. Now if you look at, or if you guys probably look at, then analyze the games and do everything with the three shots against those in three games. So I'll tell you how hard the team's pressing and working together. And that elevates the in the football. So I always say our mantra here is respect to 30%. Because that's the most important bit. The bit when you don't have the ball, how aggressive you are. And that was when it was nice last week when I was Steven talked after the game about, you know, we changed his team and probably want to go physical and set pieces now. But we've done all the dirty side of the game. And the top players do that. They do the dirty side. Some people call it the easy. It's not the stuff that gets noticed a lot in the stands. But it's absolutely key from a coaching perspective and a players perspective. So that press inside, the aggression, the compactness of the team, that all then brings the football to another level. That's been the most pleasing part. Mark, that's kind of what Bali was talking about, that Rangers need to do, that's some of the dirty side of the game. Yeah, you need to get in and you need to let, you know, Cal and McGregor know that he's in a game. And when you say that Paul, you're no meaning to go in and take him out the game. Because I'll tell you, go and ask a red Cal and say, you need to make it 11, 11. But there's ways to let no Sunday in the game within the letter. What he does? You get close to him. You're doing his neck. You're not letting him turn and have the freedom and the path to pick a pass and keep it technical. That was because when you look at Cal and McGregor, and he scored two wonderful goals this season, but Cal and McGregor is not, is they pinging 40 yard diagonals? He is, they're making defense, splitting passes. But what he does, he knits everything together for Celtics. So when Cal and McGregor plays, Celtic play, as Barry says, it was allowed to dictate too much of the game. And I think that's where tactically, I know he's altered the June games that half-time and made it better, but tactically, I think, for Lee Clemon, surely, as he prepares for Sunday, would have learned that. Okay, where did I go wrong in the four games against Celtic? Why have you not beaten them? Surely the first thing that would come to his mind is exactly where he says, we've allowed the captain of Celtic to dictate the game. So what am I going to do to stop that? Others end the pitch. James Tavernier, you need to be confident against Dizzamida. You kind of look scared. Kyogo, how do we stop him? Just for that split second, whoever you're two set a house on, you need to be tight. And apart from that, you take it, but that's great. I agree with Barry, that would have been a big three for Rangers. Great legs there, sterling, baron and deer Monday. But what they've got to do, Paul, is be very, very clever in how they play the game. The young lads are going to need a bit of guidance for the teammates over there that's going to be. But get about the pitch. But do it in a constructive manner. Yep, make Callum McGregor face his own goal. That would be my thought process. As soon as he receives it, first touch back away. Don't allow me to open his body and see the whole pitch in front of him. And I agree with what Mark says. Don't give him an inch. See, as soon as the ball's played to him, you're right up against him. And see if they get by you. Sometimes you've got to take a foul for the team. But it's better to take a foul, follow up the pitch, than it is in letting them run 20, 30 yards, follow in a further towards your goal. So there is a few areas that Rangers needed to open. And you need to be really on the money. If there's one to come away from, sell it back with something in the bag. Austin Tristy has been spotted in a Celtic top. Hasn't been released yet, Mark, but there are pictures coming there. And obviously, Arnie Engels. So, Tristy, US international player. Yeah. Yeah, as Baddie said, good Callum on an Arsenal player on Arsenal's books. There's a boy, I think, that's where it's bombing him. And this then going to Sheffield United. They've been part of that left-sided player that they've been looking for. They've desperately acquired Paul to go and get a proper left-sided guy in, which they've done. And they've spent a good chunk of money. They've got sort of six million pounds, which is a lot of money. And again, I don't think you'll start on Sunday. But yeah, wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench. Obviously, come through, the medical. The manager was asked, "Will some of the newcomers play this weekend?" Yeah, could be. I think the number of the players that have been looking at have been playing are up to speed. So, yeah. But we'll always... We do an M.O.T. in a player when he comes in, just to see whether or not, anyway. But most of the players that we're looking at will be in a good place. How much is he looking forward to this game? As I said, I feel it always like my first game. Because I know what it means to everyone. I think that's, you know, I understand the feeling. I understand the journeys. You know, the heart of a Celtic supporters story is Celtic Rangers. That's the heart of it. So, I understand what it means. But, like I say, we'll go into it. We'll be ready for a tough game. It's the first of these games in the season in which there'll be many. And we're really excited about it. I witnessed them playing two all-form games last year. And I saw players playing for the team. They, I'm sure, will look back on last year and thought and think that they're in a position to go and win that week. And then they slipped up in games which will be a major disappointment to them. So, they have to get back on that horse and dust themselves down and go again. And playing in all-form games is not easy. When I came back here and tried to play in them, although I was trying to do two jobs, I found them very difficult. You know, going to power kids as tough as it gets. But if you're going to win a league, these are the games you have to turn up in. And now the manager's experience. He's had an experience of all-form, several all-form games. And in the new players from last year, I've had that experience. So, they should be richer for the experience. And they should be relishing the challenge. They will know the importance of this match and the bigger picture. And they will know the importance of this match and what it means to our supporters. They've got to turn up. Don't get 15, 20 minutes happening around to the game. And wake up. For those of you who have to start writing, it's an all-form game. So, I'm hoping that my team turned up at the weekend and do that. You know, you think about, you know, talking about players and adjusting and, you know, you think, you know, going for the teams that we think are going apart. And, Barry and I were much the same in terms of both sides Celtic, no debut points in terms of their outfield, 10 old-form game. You look at the 10 that we think will start. Either of its couldn't say the for us. They've all been there. They've all played a part in it. Even Bernardo scored. And it cast past Michael, old-form debut. But he's got plenty of experience. Rain just team. They might be looking at proper. Geoff Day, Baden, and Chainley. Potentially four. That might not be a bad thing. But it is, again, whether it's a potential poll, particularly when it's selling part. And it's 60,000 fans. We've got, oh my God. What's happening here? And you just kind of get to get to it, because I think we are selling it all. Go for it, Paul. Whether they'll look to think the joy is going to be down both wings. Whoever plays on the right, whoever plays on the left, up against having here. And Geoff Day. And I think, because, like Barry says, I suspect that Philippe Del Monte staff will say, let's try and really suck at that one. Suffocate the middle of the part. Don't let Celtic knock it about. So they might have to go wide early. And that's what Celtic will look to get their joy. Barry, what do you think of the comments of Graham Sunnis? And Brendan Rogers. I agree with everything that Graham Sunnis said there. Listen, everybody's writing rangers off. That would turn me. You know that in a game, and it's like, listen, Celtic, how many for Celtic? So that's something that the players need to take on board. And they need to go and embrace the situation, the game, the occasion. And listen, it's a tough, tough place to go. Listen, I've been there. I've won, but also I've lost. And that's when we start the game in the right manner. I mean, you don't start the game in the right manner. It's one of the longest 90 minutes I've ever been involved in. The game is coming so close. Transfered deadline, just a few hours away. Yeah, we're going to take a look today. You're the job pro. You're going to take a look today. I've taught them and I'm supposed to come to town. And then man united to Old Trafford, you'll be there. Barry, those two great games on this. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. But are we in draw for both rangers and Celtic? Sure, we went through the Celtic one last night. Andy Walker was in great form. He anchored it basically in Craig and Loon. I were helping. I thought I was back in Scottsport. Andy, really, really good. So too was Craig last night, because for Celtic as well, you know, Brusia Dortmund. Paul Lambert on was brought. He is such a top-class person, isn't he? As well as was a great player, manager as well. What's a career? Yeah. It's in Glasgow for the game this weekend. It's some of the battles you had with him, Barry, over the years. Yeah, a few kicks at each other. That's for sure. But listen, he was, yeah, he was a top player. He don't want playing when the European Cup. Brusia Dortmund then come back to Celtic. No, obviously, he had a real successful time there as well. And yeah, many are battles. Well, obviously, he was an international team mate. Yeah, sure. As well. When you ask that, there's only one game that always jumps at me. You know what I'm going to say? Like George, or the teeth, no? No, I'm talking about an international game. Oh, we've been in the pharaohs also. There are two walks. There are two walks. There's one in my house, toughest 45 minutes. Oh, what a membrane. For two people? I bet, yeah. Oh. I actually come in and off that pitch. Well, look at it becoming in two down. Wow. It could have been three or four. Was that the worst moment in your career? Yeah, yeah, yeah. But because listen, imagine the pharaohs at that time. The pharaohs have obviously better over the years. But the pharaohs at that time have been no disrespect to them. What a poor team. What a poor team. The guys were coming in off the fishing boats and coming turning up with their bikes and whatever. And they netted two against you. Yeah, and for all the deserved it, Paul. For sure. Honestly, deserved it. I remember it. I remember it. Yeah. No, what a good man. Good cards. What a terrible card. Hey! Who was the keeper? Who was the salmon mate from the keeper? Hey, who was the keeper? Who was the keeper? Who was our keeper that night? Oh, Neil Sullivan? No. Paul Gallagher? Neil Sullivan? Yeah, Neil Sullivan's a good shot. Oh, yeah, look, bang. He grabbed us, maybe. Neil Sullivan. Thank you. Paul Lambert, European Cup winner of the Dortmund, former Aston Villa manager. Are you a former Aston Villa manager? Oh, it's so great. There's plenty of stuff going on. Obviously, there's a John McGinn story as part of it as well. I mean, one thing, two different competitions. So, you're going Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Terenda, January. I think for the city of Glasgow, for our games, because, OK, Brings is in the Europa League, but it's like a Champions League draw. Yeah, it is. They've got in terms of their opponents, so great for the city to have that for the next five months. And we'll talk about hearts briefly, too. And we're just watching to see if there's any more transfers, more in a moment. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Let's go! Let's go! All the weekend as well, and truly here, Barry Ferguson and Mark Grady in the Go Radio Football Show. It's been quite a week, hasn't it? There's been so much on the go. And the transfer window has got what? Well, under five hours to go, and then that will be it shut. So, it's serious business. Celtic have made quite a number of signings, just waiting for the confirmation. About end goals, 11 million pound midfielder. Trustee has been pictured already, and the strip's not released yet on his way. Matt, around me, as we know last weekend, off to Brighton. And he got that horrible injury. There's going to be an operation, and we wish him a speedy recovery, but it's what? Six, seven minutes. And he's never injured. That's the thing. It was such a pity. Yeah, it was. Billy Gilmore will not be going. And Barry and I spoke about it Wednesday. He's not going to be going anywhere. Now, we've been going to Napoli Square. I've seen everyone in Sky Sports News. It's still in the balance. Thanks for keeping me right. Napoli are desperate to go. It will be down to the money itself. For Rangers, Barry, just checking. Still no one in Todd Cantwell, but we think he will go tonight. Five or six hundred thousand pounds to Blackburn Rovers. Yeah, he's going to go there. And Scott Wright has gone to Birmingham City. Yep. Yep, your old team. So he stays a blue. And on loan coming in at Rangers, he's a well-rated Dutch defender from Fine Art. And then I show Kasan Wierzow. He's a 22-year-old. So he could be straight into the squad for the weekend, Barry. You never know for the game with something. Yeah, certainly not be straight into the team, but yeah. He could make an opinion on the bench. It was somewhere definitely Rangers needed to strengthen Paul. We obviously, as I mentioned, Ben Davis. Moving to Birmingham, Barregan's getting on a bit. He's picked up a couple of injuries now this season. Proper, still no update to speed. John Sutter's been the mainstay in the set of defense. It was certainly an area where Rangers needed to strengthen. I don't know anything about him, Paul. I need to go back and do a wee bit of homework on him in terms of... I don't know how many games he's played throughout his career, but... He's young, as you mentioned. Yeah. 22 years of age, so we just need to see how that one works out. Billy's been on asking, guys, any word on Janice Haggie? Is that any chance? Oh, why? Is he going to go? If he stays, does he do the deal? Yeah, put a post out. I think we spoke about that. He's never asked to leave. He wants to stay and fight for his place. But it looks to me if he's no part of the manager's plans. So, if that was the case for me and I get told that... I would want to go and play my football elsewhere. But you need somebody. It's getting a salary. I've seen that. Was it rapid, but caressed? Yeah. And from New Lennon's former team, they could get near where near his salary. So, yeah, we'll just need to wait and save over the next five hours. What will happen there? It looks to me if he's no going anywhere. Because I've not had anything over the last couple of days. Like you Johnson off to West Bromway. He did so well last season on loan. He's gone for £3 million. A wata, a target for Birmingham City. What about the incoming players? The manager was asked today. Would they play at the weekend? Yeah, it could be. I think the number of the players that have been looking at have been playing. They're up to speed. So, yeah. But we'll always... We do an MLT in a player when he comes in just to see whether or not anyway. But most of the players that we're looking at will be in a good place. It's going to be interesting when we hear the teams come Sunday. Laurie is on the line. Good evening, Laurie. How are you? It's all good evening. Good evening, Bart. Good evening, Bart. Laurie, how are we? Hi, Laurie. I've been... Didn't say a good body. Good night. I'm thinking about the transfer window today, obviously, on the game in Sunday. And I'm glad to see that Celtic, albeit as I've left it at least up spliced out of some money. Although, you know, they have balanced the books. They've unloaded a lot of friends players to clearly in their future. I think, as I say, McCown, I would suspect that that over there in the transfer window, I would like to see the addition, perhaps, of another forward, because if Kiyogo, Furaje, Arida, were injured, then you really only get one recognized thing. And I know that Brendan Rogers utilizes Dies and Mitre on occasions as an emergency if he likes him or forward. But primarily, of course, he has a winger. I've been just as concerned. I cannot help but thank the guy, the manager, Clement. I do think it's a good coach. But I feel that that guy clearly has been harmed by the 15 million pounds that was largely squandered by Michael Biallessy. And I think that the only player really is now beginning to pay dividends is Dezos. So I think that he's got a problem. You know, a ranger's to me, I'm not in a position to compete financially with Celtic. I think a Celtic B ranger's in Sunday. And I'm convinced that, well, I don't know what the margin will be as long as it's one, no more than what rangers score as a Celtic fan. But I think a Celtic B ranger's a possibility that can be a watershed moment for rangers, because as we cannot compete, Celtic to me are feats ahead and rangers. There would be five points ahead on Sunday. And the point I'm trying to make here is the reason I think about what a shared moment is, I think you'll find that the rangers, the board, personally, will be receptive. A deflation investment coming from a outwork. The final starts. Mark, fresh investment would seem a natural route if somebody went to come in for rangers. Yeah. The reports about American investors early in the week. Dave King, who is, I think the biggest shareholder, has shot it down right away. We wouldn't surprise you at some point. Surely major investment has to come in. Yeah, because you look at the way rangers are operating now, Paul. And they're actually, albeit, it's so for the supporters to take and so for Folicle 1. They say, "Now start to operate in the right manner." And that is cutting a cloth accordingly. Operate within your means. And try to build a long-term sustainable model. So, they need to do that. And it is frustrating, of course, it is, but it needs to be done for the long-term health of the club. And then so what you need to do is to try and stop it and that you need to create stars. You know, like, you know, we can rhyme off the year four that sell to our sign for big money in the past year or so. Rangers need to go and do that as well, put a nettle take time. But you need to go on the earth, James. And what you need to do as well as a Celtic man has to do. You need to get your players operating and doing the business in Europe. Because you're no good at, you know, you're no good at big, big money for beating motherwell in part with this one, Martin. So you need to get that as well. So it's a long-term thing. But of course, investment, John Bennett, as chairman, wouldn't have been in his job, right? If he wasn't he looking for an investment, it stands to reason. I don't think it's any rocket signs that Rangers could benefit from a real healthy injection of capital. Certainly one thing he's looking at, there's no doubt about it. But he came out at the start of August, the chairman, obviously, regarding what was going on with the stadium. And he was saying that the salaries and the contracts that have been given out over the last couple of years are too high. Well, viable. You can't do that. You know what I mean? And as Laurie's mentioned there, the transfer fees that were shelled out 15, 16 million pounds. That is only one guy. As Laurie mentioned, paying it back, at least, as serial deaths are up top with the goals. So it's a tough time for Rangers at this moment in time. There's no doubt about it. But the chairman's doing the right thing. He's trying to cut the wage bill down, because the wage bill was sky high. Yeah. Bigger than Celtics. Yeah, it was crazy. Obviously, there's a number of the highest earners now starting to depart the club. The last one being probably today will be Cantwell. Obviously, the manager's been open about it. He's been bringing in players, for instance, like Connor Goshen leaving. Sky high wages, bringing in prop and Lord wages. John Lindstrom leaving and bringing in Connor Barnum. So that's what they're trying to do. And it's going to be a bit painful. But the chairman's just trying to do the right thing for the club. But in terms of investment, yeah, I'm sure at this moment in time, he'd be desperate to get. Investment from out with, and in a club. Laurie in your own club, here's the manager's view of the Champions League draw yesterday. Well, yeah, I think we're all anticipating what's going to look like, because we all loved the draw and everything else before. But I thought it was really well done. And of course, then the teams that we've got, absolutely fantastic. You know, we're playing against the Champions League finalist. We're playing a Europa League winner amongst the other teams. So it's so exciting. As from a manager's perspective, from the players, we get the chance to play against the best in Europe. And then we also get some really, really exciting cities for the supporters to go to. But of course, we're here for the football and we also want to make a mark on that. I thought it was a great draw. Different teams, different thoughts around it all, but really exciting for us. Laurie, you'll remember the house in days well, the European football in Celtic. What are you thinking when you see the draw? Well, I'll tell you what I think, Paul. Firstly, it probably couldn't have been a bear that had been hand picked by Brendan Rogers. But let's take that coin as. I can't even see that for the run games in particular, there's any glitzy or glamorous opponent that's lined up. And then obviously, that will be helpful to Celtic because obviously, there might not be huge teams coming to a cupboard kid. The less unknown European pedigrees. But I think that will help us maybe get through to the later stages. In fact, I'm fairly confident we'll get through to the later stages. I'm inclined to agree with Mark when he said they're late on. He's looking at maybe 10 points or something else for Celtic. I think that of the four games we're playing at home, I think it will be Bruce, young boys up there and brought us lava. If we got a point against Leipzig, I wanted to be disappointed about that. I think anything you take on the road, perhaps, is our bonus. Although, I would have good expectations against the result in Zagreb. So I would think maybe anything to maybe 9k, 11 or 12 points. And a battle of Britain, Villa Park as well, that will be something good. That would probably, Paul, I would imagine if you're Brendan Rodgers, the Celtic player, that would probably suit your best at the four of eight. And potentially, the toughest one in the play, you look at that villa team, they're sensational. And they've got a world-class coach who knows how to win in Europe. But what Celtic needed to do first and foremost for me, Paul, is he gets clear. And Laurie's nailed it. The best opportunity of the four home games. It's a big ask to go and get 12 points, you know, 9, 10, would be great in trying a point. He and their away from home. But the evidence, Paul, Celtic made Celtic part of fortress again. That's a stand point, not just for this season, but building on that, because the record in Europe for a decade or so has been absolutely shocking. And the big part is for that. It was so much better. Oh, better. Got back in Matt and Neil. Incredible. Some incredible nights at Celtic Park. Those give themselves a chance of qualifying, because they made Celtic Park a fortress. And that's what they need to get back to. For example, as Laurie says, when young boys come, when Bratislava come, blow them away, win your games, get points on the board, take the press officer, you know, it's anxious when you're going into other games. We'll see how the schedule comes out tomorrow. But just win your games at Celtic Park first and foremost. Laurie, let's speak about a proper European competition with Rapalique. Laurie, you get him when you go on. Listen, that is brilliant, isn't it? Laurie, to be honest with you, listen to your Laurie, you're looking at, certainly, three games he says. Club bros, Bratislava, young boys. You've got to be looking at nine points here. Lipes are going to have a decent outfit. Yeah. So you get a point there, you would be absolutely delighted. So, yeah, I think they've got a good opportunity. Look at that. Look at the schedule of games. I've got the home games. Look at Ollie McBurney last night doing well. The pressure, I think. See, I think it'll be favourite. It's going to be a game. Think so. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, me Burney. Let's Palmas last night. One, one, with everything on my trip. Yeah, he did. Yeah, he played. Yeah. So, first, that game's out in Palma. Yeah, it's round. Grandkids, that was funny last week. It's us. Yeah. I think Burney, of course, arrangers, fine. And Scott McKenna, Celtic. So, there's a good balance over there. Do you know what? I'm surprised. Neither. Celtic arrangers went in for Scott McKenna. One after he transferred. I was going to say, would it be the wages? No one. You wouldn't have to pay. Sure. Yeah. I'm sure Celtic arrangers could compete against Lipes Palmas. Ollie? Yeah. Sorry. Ollie, any of you on Scott McKenna or? I wonder when that kind of similar type thing. I don't know if Ollie would agree. I wonder if Stuart Armstrong'll end up back at Celtic. Yeah. Good point. Laurie, on both. Hey, Kevin. Sorry. Scott McKenna, rather. I was going to Kevin McKenna, of course. Great writer, of course, Kevin McKenna. Yeah. Unmissable on the hero. Scott McKenna. Hi. I wonder if you have seen him back. I think Saul is reliable. No nonsense. Defender. Stuart Armstrong. I thought for two years of age, I don't know how much he's got left in his legs. That would have been my concern about him with a high tempo game that's healthy play. Okay. He did not too badly last night against Mbappe. So that Laurie, finally, people are waiting. What's your score line prediction, Sunday? Go easy. You're loving yourself. You're loving yourself. Laurie, thanks for the call. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go. Hey. Let's go. Come on. Just remember I had a text from Bernard Ponson by today. So I must go back to-- Yeah, it's a name. I know. It's been a little bit too long, isn't it? Yeah. It's a delay STV that it is. Yeah, we did. Yeah, after years of distinguished service. Yeah. What a political commentator. Brilliant, isn't it? Yeah, I know. It sounds different. Yeah, probably where. Indeed. So a former politician or politician was asking for brother John, who does tune in at times over there in Dublin. People listen all over. Russ King's been on a lot this week listening in LA, although I think he's in France now. And Barry, I know, what a life, isn't it? Was it just an audio? Was it just an audio? No, no. Just a wedding going on somewhere in the-- Candle. Parvie, I think it is, actually. Yeah, indeed, maybe. Maybe. You're the guy today who was doing the draw, the conference league. But Matt, you know, suddenly he was getting all the French pronunciations and the Italians and all the rest. Did you notice? I don't know. Watch the conference draw. Okay, just missed that one. Hearts are in there, of course, going out last night with a whimper. Really, Barry, it just was-- it just didn't happen. Yeah, I said, don't you watch your game. And, yeah, they just-- they never took the game in them. I expected more from Hearts, I've been on this way. But I was really surprised. And I've said it many a times. Time castle is my favourite away stadium. It's always a brilliant atmosphere. And I just felt it was really flat. I just thought hearts were flat last night. Thought they looked a bit better when they went to a back four. But I don't know that they're certainly low in confidence. You can tell that-- And they're the chance, didn't they, just before that goal? Yeah, they had a great opportunity. It was a pure goal. Poor goal, he'll lose. It was a diagonal across the pitch, under hit. And they obviously broke on Hearts and scored. But yeah, I expected more for Hearts last night. Killie, as we spoke about in the first hour out, Mark. And they've got to get it together now. Yeah, they're going up. That's our focus now. Yeah, because of the-- they've yet to win a game, yet to pick up a point win a game. So, yeah, they need to go and get going. And Derek now in the squad. I think he's got a really good squad there. For domestic level, you know, he's got a good squad. And it's up to him to go and get a wee run together. And I'm sure Derek will let you know what he's doing for sure. Of course. Their game is Sunday against Hibbs at Rugby Park. Hearts against Undi United. And the little matter of the 12-30 kick-off in the East End will come to that shortly. What bit tomorrow Dundi against St. Marin? Barry, so maybe they'll not look my count. He might be away. Well, Cameron, will he win? Yeah, Rangers. Yeah. Whatever you take, the two out there, the Dundi team. It certainly wings him. I think that will be a crack in the game. They were at full strength both of them. Two teams that have done excellent over the past. They season and start this season really strongly. I'm going to go. We are drawing that one. What do you reckon, Mark? Yeah. So we've done decent. Yeah. Do you know what? Yeah. I'll go. We have a score draw. One more. What about St. Johnson against Motherball? And we broke the news last night. Sidaby, four match ban. Mark after his double red card last weekend. So St. Johnson at home to Motherwell, who did a great win against the Harris? Yeah. Sidaby's the kind of man that you're looking at to get a go. Nicky Clark, obviously. But I feel for Motherwell, Paul, at the start of the season. But you know what? I think they'll go to Perth in one tomorrow. One day on Motherwell. Yeah. Yeah. I think Mother will go in one night game. Ross County against Aberdeen, northeast Derby these days. Yeah. Like the Taylor 545. Yeah. I can't see anything other than an Aberdeen win. I watched Ross County last week. And they were really poor. I've been honest with you. Really poor. Yeah. Aberdeen, obviously. Started the season really well under the new manager. Aberdeen win the game to now. Jimmy Tilling is that eight in a row? Yeah. That's the number one. Yeah, great start. And for Aberdeen, really bringing a little optimism back to the club. And I'll go with Barry. And when I see watch Ross County last week, they're always better at home. But I think Aberdeen will grind something out. And I'll go again one now. I see John W Henry's super yacht has been spotted off the coast of Aberdeen. I'm not suggesting he's putting money into a Scottish club or whatever. I think he was just in holiday. So he was up in that area. I'm dropping Ross King off. Breaking away. Hey. You never know. You never know. Jerry Butler's next on the line right back to. So Ross County happened in your score line again. What now? Aberdeen. Okay. I should have been paying attention to your mark, but no change there. Kelly against tips. We talked about it. What do you think? Some of the tough, tough nights. It's only really, I'm going to go one one. Okay. Going to get him to get a point. One one at Robby Park. Barry, that wouldn't be a bad result for come on, like would it? Yeah, but I know think after the disappointment Thursday night, a couple of days rest. I think come on, that would be a bit of a heart against and reunited. That's a huge game. I'm going to go down the United. Really? Wow. Yeah. And that could be trouble. That'd be four defeats now. Well, Vlon Shankland obviously missed last night. It's a game through Ani Andre. Boys come off. We are growing. Andre. Is it Varkas? Yeah. He's the only recognized striker. Yeah. I'm going to go down the United. Pat Pops. I agree. Yeah. I think, you know, a comparison with come on. Look, come on. Look, as much as they'll be tired, they'll be a bit unlucky with us. I think it's really flat, Paul. The heart supporters will be turning up. Ooh, they could get them. So, indeed they could take on like that one now. What about the Glasgow Derby? Partic Thistle against Queen's Park. Hey. What did you do? You're backing Andy Smell a bit. What were you saying? Oh, Glasgow Derby. Oh, Andy. Hey. Hey. Have we done for Hill? Have we done? Yeah, yeah. No, no, I'm doing for Hill. Yeah, yeah. Get result for Queen's Park last week. Unlucky the week before at Aberdeen. I think they're going well. Partic Thistle. Toil and a wee bit. Toil and never at all about. Two in Hill, Queen's Park. Enough. Queen's Park. Barry. I'll rule them out. [LAUGHTER] But I'm going to go Queen's Park to win the game by a goal. Okay. Mr. Aish, I'll just mention a couple of the many United going great guns. I'm here to win that one for me, okay? I can ask you, Mark, what about folk hook at Martin? I'm Martin at Capital. Yeah. Folk hook going well. Yeah. One each, right there. And do you think your United is going to win? Yes, it will be the family, yeah. Barry, are you going for the burns? Yeah, I'm going to go folk up to win that one. And then the lannick should derby. Barry, you know where I'm going to go? Yeah, you know where I'm going to go. Yeah, it's going to be, isn't it? Yeah, it's going to be all darkies. Aye, aye, I can stay win that one too. Okay. Let's do them all. Ray Throwers, still more managers. Is that right? Yeah. Yeah. Do you feel he knocked it back? Yeah. Yeah. So what do you think? Ray's to win. I'm going to go with Livingston. I'm going to go with Livy. Yeah, I just think Ray need to get a manager ASAP. They should. They should do. No comment today from Philippe Clemone because Rangers are doing their media conference tomorrow. So we've heard about from Graham Sunnis, who was on William Hill jutty getting ready for the big match. Does that mean he's up here commentating for it? Along with Martin O'Neill were not too sure, but they were here. He was talking about what game he's going to see. And they had this message for the Rangers players. How would them play in two all-form games last year? And I saw players playing for the team. They, I'm sure, will look back on last year and thought and think that they're in a position to go and win that league. And then they slipped up in games which will be a major disappointment to them. And it was to the Rangers fans. And what about Sunday itself? And then anything can happen. Celtic obviously started his favourites. But when you're trying to tax logic to football matches, sometimes you can always scratch in your head. You sit par OK. No, these supporters. They are the champions at the moment. I witnessed two all-form games last year, the Cup final. And a two on game at par OK. And I think there's a great deal between the sides. Some hope the Rangers enjoy a good day. But obviously, Celtic will start his favourites. Martin Aleil on the gap between the two. The game on Sunday could actually go either way. But you're talking about the bigger picture over a whole season. And Celtic are definitely much stronger than Rangers. I don't think Rangers are strong at all. And I don't think that they have the quality of player. They're disposal in too many positions that would warrant a whole season. Unless they bring some people in. And apparently from a distance it seems as if they have to get players off their books. So that's even more worrying if you're the manager. But at this minute, again I'm talking about over a whole season. So Rangers could go and maybe put off a result on Sunday and think things are rosy. But over the whole season, if the two sides remain as they are at this minute, you would think that I don't think that Rangers are strong enough to go away from home and nobody guarantees winning football matches, but are absolutely cast iron to win somewhere. They're so experienced in it, aren't they, Barry? They're not going to come out and save four drawn conclusions because it never is. No, it's never been missing both of them. No other game inside out, Paul. That's hugely experienced guys who have been about for so long. Yeah, you weren't my prediction. In a second, here's what Brendan Rogers said about Rangers. Yeah, I think I always expect the challenge. I think that people can sometimes assume that when you're doing well and anything has gone great, that you'll just turn up and win. And that's a very dangerous way to think, and that's why it's healthy. We never ever do that. We were in a really, really good place as a team. From a football perspective, the level that we're playing at with them is how the ball is really pleasing. But we come into these games and these are different games. These are emotional games. But what we've always and how we've always tried to handle these is to focus on our performance. And so the players will be prepared really well all this week. And I think Rangers will come in. And like I said, there'll be a tough game. 90 seconds left for us. What about the 90 minutes game? Mark, you first. How would you place this match on Sunday? How would you? I fancy to say I'll take strongly, Paul, but I'd never take anything for granted in a one-off game. But for Rangers, I also believe in a lot of averages. Rangers not one in six. I think it's been a difficult game. But not one a meaningful game against Celtic in three years. But I just think there's too much experience in the Celtic team. Brendan Rogers, as well, was a fantastic manager. And all fun games. Celtic to one, two, one. Two, one. And that would be a five-point gap then. Barry, over to you. Yeah. Well, Rangers need to come away with something, Paul. They need to come up with a plan. And that plan we spoke about earlier on in the show in terms of the need to stop at his source. That man in the middle of the pitch. Colin McGregor. That's why I went with that three in the middle of the pitch. So, yeah. Rangers take him away with a point. A point. Is it going to be goals? Nothing, each. No, no. Barry, enjoy your day. Thanks for being on this week. I'll try. We'll be back on Monday, Mark. You'll be in Monday as well. Yeah, look forward to it. Give us some weekend. Listen, thanks to everyone. Take care of this weekend. Enjoy all the matches. Thanks, James. And thanks to everyone who joined us and called us.
