True Token
hittiness with this this morning, I'm thankful for that. I appreciate having this. I appreciate a burden knowing that the Lord is doing the work and knowing that he's going the right way that will be a fear there and the heaviness that comes along with it. But the woman, turn over in the book of Joshua and the second chapter we're going to be talking about some things that it's probably familiar to most of us and maybe just a couple of thoughts on some things here. But in the book of Joshua and the second chapter and you just bear with me, I think I'm going to read there quite a bit to get down to where the Lord would have us to go. But it says in Joshua, "The son of none sent out of Chidim to men to spy secretly, saying go view the land even Jericho. And they went and came in to an harlot's house named Rahab and lodged there. And it was told the king of Jericho saying, "Behold, there came men in Heather tonight of the children of Israel to search out the country." And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab saying, "Bring forth the men that are come to thee which are entered into that house, for they become to search out all the country." And the woman took the two men and hid them and said, "Thus, there come men unto me, but I wistknot whence they were." And it came to pass about the time of the shutting of the gate when it was dark that the men went out, whether the men went, "I want not. Pursue after them quickly, for ye shall overtake them." But she had brought them up to the roof of the house and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof. And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords. And as soon as they were pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate. And before they were laid down, she came up unto them upon the roof. And she said unto them, "I know that the Lord hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you, for we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you. And he came out of Egypt, and he did unto the two kings of Amorites that were on the other side of Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt. Neither did there remain any more courage in any man because of you. For the Lord your God, he is God in heaven above and in earth beneath. Now therefore I pray you swear unto me by the Lord, since I have showed you kindness, that ye will also show kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token, and that ye will save alive my father and my mother, and my brethren and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death. And the men answered her our lives for yours. If ye utter not this our business, and it shall be when the Lord hath given us the land that we will deal kindly and truly with thee, and she let them down by a cord through a window. For her house was upon the town wall, and she dwelt upon the wall, and she said unto them, get you to the mountain lest the pursuers meet you, and hide yourselves our free days until the pursuers be returned, and afterwards may ye go your way. And the men said unto her, we will be blameless of this dino, which thou hast made us swear. Behold, when we come into the land thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window, which thou did just let us down by, and thou shalt bring thy father and thy mother and thy brethren, and all thy father's house home unto thee, and it shall be that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into the street, this blood shall be upon his head, and we will be helpless, and whosoever shall be with thee in the house, his blood shall be on our head if any hand be upon him. And I'll stop right there for just a little bit, and just pray for just a little while. I've had this scripture gerry on my heart all week. I've been thinking on it. It seemed like the Lord kept bringing it to us. And as we've been, we've got the man's taste and thinking over these things, and thinking about this moment. I know it's been preached to me the time I preached from it, but I'm telling you this morning that it don't get old, and it's still just as good today, the gospel that God has taught us that when Joshua sent these spies out, he sent a mother to Rahab, and he sent them into her house. And this was a woman that would preach to me the time, and her name is mentioned over there, in the living chapter of Hebrews with the heroes of faith, as we call them, and we see the faith that was upon Rahab's life, and she believed she was trapped in this place, she was in this city of Jericho, and all these things. And I know a lot of times that's the place that we preach around them, but I want us to see some things here today about this woman's life, and I want us to see how she accepted these spies in her house at this moment, and how she hit them among the blacks there on the roof of her house. And she went to plead and under them because she realized that what these were gods, people, this just wasn't just anybody, but it just entered into their family, and I wasn't just either anybody that had gone on the inside of the walls of this fortified city. It wasn't just somebody that was just a weakling, it wasn't just somebody that didn't represent anything, but when gods, people, when gods were the word made in her way, when the witness of God's people come by right half way, she realized this, Jericho was the one that had been bringing fear to the hearts of the people, she realized this was the one, hey, that was over coming and coming through and talking and over coming every obstacle in their way. How's the difference when God's word and God's spirit comes by? These big spies made their way because they were sick back. And the Bible says how can they hear without a creature, how can they preach? If they want, we see. When we tell you what God's word does in people's lives mind, you may tell you what God's word does and what his spirit does. God's sins it somewhere. And when it gets sent out, you know what it does, it gets recognized. It ain't just any old body coming through the door, it ain't just any old body coming through your way. Hey, this is from God Almighty. This is that very thing that brings fear to every man, woman, boy, and girl. Let's walk a big deal and say that. Let's walk a prideful people that'll stand up in your life. Let's walk up. If you go over, I thought about it as a study of this. It's probably just a little while. I thought about why it's a study of this. You can go over in the book of Luke, I believe it is. And he's, he's been teaching some things and he said, he said what he retired until they find faith and he came down to the pails right below that jury. He said he was speaking to me on that trusted in themselves. That's a whole lot of people that got a lot of confidence in themselves. That's a whole lot of people that like to go strong enough to get through this life. Thanks for being enough to overcome. I ain't scared of hell, I ain't scared of this, I ain't scared of that. But I won't take this up to him. Hey, when the Word of God in the Spirit of God shows up, they may not want you to know it, but I won't have you watch a fear going on in their life. Hey, he, she set up with her, she separately heard. Now that God prompts you across the page, see, have you all come these other teens and said they want to be a target left in any man? When the Word of God gets taken by, I don't care how hooked you want to make yourself look, I don't care how strong you want to make yourself look, how prideful you may be. I promise you that I'm only inside you. There's no courage left in you. There's a fear moves in when you realize it's gone almighty, it's coming by. She called up to me. She said, I need you to give me something. I need a true token, a token in the sign. It's something that's given between people is an agreement, it's something that they can look to to remember that they just token there, that they're promising. While the rainbows in the sky, as God's token to man, of his covenant that he wasn't going to destroy the world. Five, five, five, blood anymore, and you don't want to happen to loosely rain, come up with a little rainbows pop up. And we can look up our and we can remember God ain't going to destroy this one or no more. Let's token, make the sign, make the memorial, and you know what this woman asked for? She says, you're going to promise me, say, if you're going to promise me, then if I keep your secret, if I don't tell nobody where you are, then you're going to fire me, because she said, I know you're going to destroy this place. I know you're going to carry them. I know it's going to come enough, but I want a truth token. Something that's true, it's pure. You look it up. It's not a count of three, it's the real family. She wanted a real sign. She wanted something that was pure. She didn't want no count of five. She said, she didn't want to promise to death, and I have nothing to back it up. She said, I want a truth token. No, just give me some high-party promise. Don't tell me something that you ain't going to back up. She said, I want a truth token. This doesn't agree between me and you. They told her, their life and their life. They told her, I want a truth token. They told her, I want a truth token. They told her, I want a truth token. She said, I want a truth And about the 22nd verse, our 6th chapter has said, "But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, go into the harvest house and bring out thence the woman and all that she had, as ye swear unto her." In other words, that token led true. That promise was true. And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had. And they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel. And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein. Only the silver and the gold and the vessels of brass of iron they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord, and Joshua saved Rahab the harlin alive, and her father's household, and all that she had. And she dwelleth in Israel, even unto this day, because she hid the messengers. And Joshua sent, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. That's what spared her. And that delivered all of them before they burnt that place right there. She was there, and they burnt that place to the directions right as quick as she got out there. And we went out and saw them, and they burnt right behind me. What happened when Noah went into the art, the waters fell right behind me. You have God film the story this twice, and it ain't going to be a jerk, and then this three blessings go along, and it ain't going to be no less, it ain't going to be all this time period to take a crime and get saved and came, and you're going to have to take a certain kind of mark, yeah, it's a mark to be taken, but it's the day when you might have to take that mark to follow you in your room. And you look wild how much slavery you're in. The Turks get took out here, so they ain't going to wait some time before you're being there, and we need to go come back here, and we need to go over our Roman Israel, oh, no, no, he said he said that he'd seen them in the hearts of Lincoln, that he knew of God, is what he had used, you know, where he's roving them right, and he's roving them right in his eyes, in the hearts of the believers of the children of government, in the hearts of the believers of Jesus Christ. Well, what he got was this out here, and he ain't going to wait no longer, he's back. This year's just going to burn right behind us, and he's going to be gone, Jay. I don't believe in that preacher, well, that's up to you, and I'm going to wait for him to say something to wait for him to speak to you, man, I don't know why I had to go the way for it to win, and I won't regret it. What that is, Johnson, it's my other way of giving Paul Tope to some people, you know, what he said when he comes back to the Father's Place, and he said he was sleeping in those old brothers, trusted within themselves, you know what I've been around in my house, and how I do the rest of the man that thought this, doesn't have to be in years, right? Hey man, hey man, I'm mad enough, I'm tough enough, you ain't going to make me say nothing. You can't survive, I can make it through it! No, you can't, because right now it's the way you're having to move. You can't trust in yourself, you're going to trust God. You know how Ray Habs survived over there in that day? She believed the deuce by us, it was not her way. You ain't going to get fired no good for us, I ain't got fired no good for us, I've believed the word of the Spirit through faith, and then I'd have to put something in time willing, and go on, Jesus Christ, He would say three times, start a three in the way, and He'd give us a token, and if you'll give me to this house, if you'll stay right here, I've got you protected, you're just a second about done, because let not your heart be precious John 14, let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me, says in my father's house, or many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am, there you may be also. And whether I go, you know, and the way you know, Thomas says unto him, Lord, we know not whether thou goest, and how can we know the way, and Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my father also, and from him's forth ye know him, and have seen him. He said, I'm going away to prepare you a place, we'll read that again, because I want to hear this. He said, I go away, if I and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am, there you may be also. He didn't say he was coming back here to prepare you a place, no, he said he was going to prepare a place, where was he talking about Mark, Calvary. You know where he prepared the way yet? By becoming the sacrifice for my leadership. By buying the scarred thread, by the shedding of his own blood, by coming to that window, to that place that scares man to death. You know what he done, he went out of the weather, and he's coming back. His word and his spirit, leg went right through what's, Ray have us scared to death, to go outside. Ray have us scared to death, until how worse he'd be, but he said, I'll lay the way for you. That old scary thirty foot drop down below her, how many times maybe she had dropped that quarter down below her, you hear by this moment, listen to this, and you ponder on me, yeah. How many times did he think she dropped that thirty foot quarter, she already had it. How many times did she drop that half half down below her, and I don't know about that there, how many times have you thought, I'll just, I'll just get psyched on my own, I'll just accept the Lord right here, twenty million healers, and I'll believe in everybody that will be all right, anytime you drop your corn out, how you look down, he's as darkness. It's like the wind is from me. I'm like what the Lord did my way. I couldn't climb down. I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. The Lord and the Spirit come by. There's so much is. Look here. What I tell you again was the Word of the Word was gone. The Word was gone. What's saying the Word accomplished? We've seen the Word come down. We've seen the Word become our second time. We've seen the Word become our second time. We saw it all about care. We saw it all about it. Hey, but that wasn't us. Oh, it needs to find those two of them. So I said, hey, I'm saying we can hope in Christ Jesus. He lives by only. We have been most miserable. I make you glad the Spirit come by. I give you hope. I give another life. I hope this things are hope. I'm glad. I've got to. I'm glad. I've got hope. I make sure for me inside. The Spirit is gone. It lets me know. Ruth Bight, she wants to do this by us. Ruth Bight, she's back to everybody. She couldn't to give you a no with her. Ruth Bight, she knew. They're coming by. Ruth Bight, I believe in Jesus Christ. Ruth Bight, I saw a step through the window that I've been scared of for a long time. Ruth Bight, I've seen him behind the cord in the wind in his own blood. I've seen him behind that tire. And if you'll stay behind me, you'll be all right when I come back. If you'll stay over, I told you. Everything will be all right. I climbed into the safety. I climbed into the refuge of God if you'll have it. But that 12 years older, I climbed into this place that I didn't throw back at the top. I still got the cord. I'll get the lander. And I keep trying to get everybody. I came into the house with me. You know what I would have been to believe? I believe what he has to ask for to help all of you to come up. He's been killing me in that house. And he breaks out and believes that. When you believe what you want to do, there's a lot of people who don't believe everybody on earth can fit in the heart. I believe what they want to do. You won't be taken back, they won't hurt you because believe what they want to do is they got to kill. They got to throw it. And they died right there, I believe that. But then they believed that God was able. Hey, they got spared because they got in the house behind the storyboard. That's gone for a hit. It was the trim took. It was pure. It was real. You know what, when they had got behind me, you know what she felt safe. When I was walking around the walls of Jericho, I believed Sam Belman, the destruction that's coming on that place. I believe she got a little scared, but I don't believe she's scared for herself. You'll be taking something. When I see time to grow and die, and I realize that we're living in perilous times. And I realize just how close we are to the end of this time, you'll be taking something sometimes like it will scare us. But you won't be taking something else. I ain't scared for me. When I know we're going, I know we're about to leave. And I don't do a day on this, this or worse. I will not burn. My soul is saved. The other ones die. I'm not feel safe. I haven't started through it. Because it's a true token. It's not something out of it. They have promised that my insolent say everything's all right. They're getting it all right. They're getting my insolent. It's got a promise. Just let me read on it. I'm down about to twist first, maybe I'll learn John. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me the works that I do, shall he do also. And greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my father. And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do. That the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it. If you love me, keep my commandments. Listen. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter. That he may abide with you forever. Now listen. It wasn't just the work of my life. It wasn't just the work of my life. It wasn't just the work of my life. It was good. When the Lord went away, he didn't just leave us with the work. And he said, "I am the what?" He said, "I am the truth." "I am the what?" There's no way to come to the Father. He said, "My way." He said, "What ain't proof of the what?" That word came. You know what else he said, "Wait a minute." I came over here. A spirit. That word pales you, and that spirit backs it up. And if you believe, you'll see that it will save life for yours. You'll see that you don't have to climb out that winter on your own. All you've got to do is get the scarlet thread and tie the door in. All you've got to do is get the blood and tie it to your life. That bright red crimson flow that he shed on cameras. All you've got to do is take it all you've got to do. Just get the thread and tie it in the winter. And when you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you'll fear the label, 'cause he's weak. He said, "What do you say about that spirit?" He said, "I don't want to say it in one manner." He said, "You've been waiting for a first time." He won't just be there for a little while. He won't just walk with you through this life and then leave you down by death. He won't be able to just take you through death and then leave you down. You don't want to go with him with you forever. See, they didn't just say, "Okay, right-hand." I'm trying to stop, but it won't let me get. He didn't just say, "Okay, okay." Once there are things that scroll over, it won't set you down out here in the sand and you're on your own. No, he said right there, he wrote this down and he said, he said, "She's with them up until that day back." And you know, once you read over there, the letter letter, he kept her Hebrews by you. You know, where she's at under this day, he never has left you. He never has persisted. You know, where she is, she's right there with the one that types a smart friend. She's right there with the one that delivered her. See, those over there that day, they died. The Bible said, "The faith is believing and not having yet received the promise." She believed in Jesus in that day through her faith. Listen, Dad. And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another comforter and that he may abide with you forever. Listen. Now, what was that token? What did she want? A true token? Not a counterfeit. Not just a something that looked close enough to it, but she wanted a promise she could trust in. Listen. He said that he may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it said him not, neither knoweth him, but ye know him, for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you. And I will not leave you comfortless. I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world says me no more, but ye see me because I live, ye shall live also. See, this fight has got down. Everybody else is more destroyed. So, you know what? But hold it, let it see. And then I say it, see, everybody's gonna be dropped to you. Everybody in jail tells you this fight, because of you. Am I right? But you know what? There's some other woman who destroyed me. Man. Everybody today knows there's a God. They know there's a Word. They know there's a Spirit. There's some other who destroyed him. Some of them are doing away with me. They've got more to say. But they get gone perhaps with me. And she wants to go away from her life. She realized, because she put her crest. And those two spies. If it calls anything, they will. Because they gave her a true took. Because that Spirit of truth abides down in my soul. Every time I look at the wind, all I can see is a scarlet thread. And I know where things are gonna be alright. Because he lives. Because he walked the path that I couldn't walk. We'll tell you something about that. Sometimes it just makes sense. It's gutsy. You're gone. I don't know what those three persons might have next week. But I have to say for a few people. It's the same country. And I don't care who they are. They wonder what it's gonna be like. They wonder what it's gonna be like. They wonder what it's gonna be like. Those questions run through the map. Why? Those are even. Those people, some of them aren't sickly. I just think they've learned their own. They'll see what happens. You know what they've done early?
