Thursday, August 29: Shopaholic's Guide By Izzy
Hey everybody, welcome to the 15th episode of the Shop for Holigs Guide by Izzy. This week's episode, well, the random for this week's episode is, my son is actually going into grade 8. It makes me so sad, I can't believe how fast time is flying, my sister-in-law even mentioned that my niece is going to be 16 soon, we're going to be celebrating her 16th birthday, sweet 16. I can't believe how fast time really is flying, people were not kidding about how, in a blink of an eye, they're infants and then boom, they're teenagers. This week's random is actually about, it brings me back to when I, myself, was in grade 8, no, that seems like a lifetime ago, and I remember our French teacher, she would go around to the different schools in the area and she would ask us to sing this particular song, I know, it's French, but I don't know. It's French, but maybe it's French or music, but for some reason I want to say she was our French teacher, but I could be mistaken, but she will go to all these different schools and have us all sing a particular song, it's Forever Young, and I thought it's a timeless song because everybody can still relate to it, no matter how old the song is, it talks about, it was a very different time in terms of politics, but I won't get into that part, but it also touches on how we always think about our childhood memories, or even when we were younger in our 20s and how we think of, we're so nostalgic about way back when, when things seemed simpler, because we were younger and we didn't have as many responsibilities as we do now, so I think it is timeless song because it does apply to everybody, no matter how old they are, even my son sometimes does talk about when he was a younger, so it does apply to younger generations as well, how we all become very nostalgic about a simpler time, a time where it just things were different, so I thought it was a perfect way to start this episode because this is the last week of summer break for the kids back to school next week and actually some schools, depending on jurisdictions, they are already back to school, so into this week's episode of what tricks and tips I will be offering is I will provide different outfits for the teachers as they go back to school, this one in particular, the first outfit, it's a great dress from Joe Fresh, it's a little thicker than your spring dresses, but I think it's perfect because it will carry you into the fall as the warmer temperatures disappear and cooler weather is upon us, but I think you could probably still wear this in the winter as well, just put on a pair of tights underneath, pantyhose underneath, and as I said, the material is fairly thick, so you could definitely wear this in the winter as well, and I paired it with this pretty necklace that I picked up from decade, I love again how the style is now to mix metals, so you don't have to worry about do I feel like wearing gold, or do I feel like wearing silver today, you can do both, and I love the fact that also the style now is layering, whether it's necklaces, or you stack your bracelets, everything's all in one piece now, it just makes accessorizing for those mornings where you're in a rush, and it just makes it easier I'll be right back, I'm back, another great piece that I found from Amazon, this nice romper, this also can take you into winter because you can just throw on a blazer on top of it, or a cardigan, or even one of those wraps a great fall color, definitely, nice and comfy, while you're on the go, whether you're a teacher or not, I'll be right back, I'm back, you've probably seen me put on this dress from Amazon a few times on some of my reels because it's one of my favorite dresses, it's an adorable style, and because it's long sleeve, this will definitely take you into fall and winter as well, and it's very comfortable It's such an adorable dress, a great style, and again, get the same jewelry, but it will still match, it'll be a nice trend for the fall as well, like I said, layering, putting together different metals I'll be right back, I'm back, final outfit, an outfit that I picked up from H&M, another great comfortable piece, it's great because that's the thing I love about wrap dresses, you can tighten or loosen, depending on how comfortable you feel I paired it with another necklace that I picked up from a decade, and let me just turn this around, you can either wear it the way I had it, or you can wear it this way just to add a bit more texture to your jewelry, and I paired it with these Amazon bangles that I purchased Again, I love bracelets that are just easy to slip on, you're not fiddling because it's so awkward, again, I had a great dress for teachers, take a wear, and be comfortable all day long I hope I'm able to provide you with some great tips and tricks for the items that are in your closet as school returns, see you later I'm back, I hope I was able to provide you with some ideas so you can pick out the amazing outfits that you have in your closet as school returns back on Tuesday Up next is another sheen haul, enjoy! Hey everybody, another sheen haul, I'm starting off with this check top, I love these sleeves, and comfortable, great fit, you can either leave it out or just do a partial tuck I paired it with Decade's Skort, another great sheen find, I'll be right back, I'm back, look at this, one piece outfit, you don't have to layer Look at this collar, Peter Pan collar, just match it up with some nice jewelry that I picked up from Decade, that local store up here in Aurora Clearly, I love striped, blue and white striped, and you'll see why I'm saying that on the upcoming outfit, I love these sleeves, and of course, it's still a little warm out, you can just push them up I paired it up with these old navy slacks, would have liked this to be a touch looser, so I'm all about comfort, but yet still looking stylish, I'll be right back I'm back, remember I said, you'll understand why I clearly like blue and white stripes, but also, I just realized in the background, I also have one of my other blue and white striped dresses from Joe Fresh I even have another blue and white striped top from sheen that I recently purchased, it's a slightly different style, these sleeves were puffier, this one has also a different neckline, and the material is a little heavier, so great for, as we go into fall So you can, I still paired it up with the old navy slacks, neither half tuck or you can always leave it out, it looks great either way I especially love this neckline, the detail, it's so different, I'll be right back, I'm back, and I think this is probably my favorite outfit of this haul Look how flattering, I love the print that can be mistaken for a particular name brand, the fitted dress, but they're stretched to it See you later, welcome back, what did you think of my sheen finds, I know some of those outfits can be for fall, actually my upcoming amazon haul, it's also geared to what outfit of particular is geared to fall and winter Sadly, they are coming out with those as the cool weather is upon us, so hopefully though, it won't happen until probably October or even if we're lucky November Up next is, of course, another amazon montage, enjoy! Now I'm shaking, drinking all this coffee, these last few weeks I've been exhausting, I'm lost in my imagination, and there's one thing that I need from you [Music] Drop this, drop this beat Everybody, another amazon haul, I'm going to start off with this matching tracksuit, I hate that they're selling fall winter stuff already, Mayans will look fashionable, suffering through the cold So this is a nice tracksuit in light gray, I do like the, there's a little design here, and it's super soft, and there's also a nice design, very flattering, it is quite comfortable And 5'4" for reference, I love that I don't have to hand these I'll be right back Okay, remember, my bottomless pit of the kid, well, lots more goodies, this one he'll have to share, he has no choice, because I like for robots too The 1 price, worth 2 packs of Chipsahoy, 2 packs of the Oreo, so much cheaper if you purchase it off of Amazon, and of course all these, as I said, are all from Amazon [Music] [Music] [Music] Welcome back, so did you see anything that you liked from my Amazon haul?
